The Importance Of Discontent In Shakespeare s King Lear
Characters are often unsatisfied with their the place they find themselves in society. Discontent
is what drives them to gain ambition in their ability to radically change their situation to one that
is most favorable in their perspective. These changes differ from character to character,
including alterations in their moral conduct, mental capability, or in something as easy as his
way of dress. The ambition to change rests deep within the character s soul, regardless of how
simple their actions may be. Fathoming a false image of oneself not only damages the individual,
but creates trouble for the people around them, such as family and loved ones. An individual s set
of morals is proven when faced with adversity. Edmund in Shakespeare s King Lear was labeled as
the illegitimate child of Gloucester. A believer in the laws on nature rather than the norms and
regulations of society, the title of being the illegitimate child aggravated Edmund immensely; there
wasn t one single difference between him and his legitimate brother, Edgar: [...] why bastard?
/ When my dimensions are as well compact, / My mind as generous and my shape as true [...] (I ii 6
7). In frustration, Edmund expressed his loyalty to nature and her laws, where all children were
treated equally by their families, and in turn questioned the authority of manmade, royal laws that
discriminated against him unjustly. Edmund wanted what he couldn t have by conventional terms,
his father s wealth that would

The Mentality Of Baseball In Fences By August Wilson
August Wilson uses baseball ideology to construct the mindset of his protagonist, Troy Maxson,
in Fences ; however, Wilson also uses Troy to embody black America in the 50s. The
metaphorical and literal significance of baseball is the driving force Troy s subjectivity and
ideology. Whether it be comparing death to baseballpitch, warning his son to not strikeout, or
complaining about being stuck on first base, Troy uses baseball to explain life to those around
him. Ironically, it is baseball that actually leads to Troy s psychic castration. Although Troy was
older when he was released from prison and playing in the Negro leagues, racismheld younger
players from competing with white Americans and there is no doubt that Troy saw this as what
held him back as well. Unable to play in the major leagues bitters Troy s attitude towards life and
affects his relationship with his son, Cory, and wife, Rose. While on a micro level, the rules and
mechanics of baseball have a negative impact on Troy s mentality, on a macro level Troy s
loyalty to the game can be seen as an empowering force for black America in the 50s. The idea of
not striking out, and the fetish of the home run is meant to represent the black community s
resistance against society s racism during this time. Although the ideology of baseball consumes
Troy to the point of his own personal strikeouts, the ideology itself, and who Troy represents, is
suppose to represent black America s fight against a racist

How Cellphones Have Become An Important Part Of Our Daily...
Cellphones have become an important part of our daily lives. They connect us to others and have
revolutionized the world we live in from social interaction apps like Tinder to a GPS that will take
you wherever one needs to go. One large competitor growing in this industry is Apple. They have
reached more than 700 million people worldwide with their product, the iPhone(Tofel 2015): a
milestone that may not have been possible without mastering the art of the global supply chain.
The path to the creation of the iPhone is not as simple as the phone itself. It requires many
pieces which all do not easily come from the same place. Professor Rivoli s book Travels of a T
Shirt in the Global Economy spoke of the line between passion and reason. Through passion an
iPhone was created but at what cost or for what reason? This is about the path taken to create a
product that over 700 million people marvel about.
For Apple, the iPhone starts on the drawing boards of engineers in California. It initially started in
2007 as a phone well ahead others in technology. But what separated the iPhone from competition
was its design characteristics of simplicity, functionality, and sleek design. Today we are on the 6th
generation of the popular device. Not too much has drastically changed from the original design,
primarily technology tweaks to improve its performance. Once new modifications have been
completed, the plans are sent to Foxconn and Pegatron to be assembled in China (Rudy Media
2014).

The Greatest Consummation Of Harriet Tubman
Harriet Tubman started off as a lowly thrall, but died a remarkable hero. Harriet Tubman wasn t
her real name, her birth name was Minty Ross. It was important for her to change her name
because she was an escaped thrall trying to help other thralls gain their freedom. So she needed
a new identity. Harriet was around twenty seven when she escaped vassalage. Harriet joined a
secret network known as the Underground Railroad to unrestrained thralls. Soon after Harriet
became a spy for the Civil War, from there she became a Civil War wellness solicitude
craftswoman. After the war, she was a caregiver for the rest of her life. I was asked to define
Harriet Tubmans greatest consummation. I will also rank her consummations by the amount of risk,
the amount of people she helped, and the amount of time the consummation took. My definition of
greatest consummation means a skill or effort given with an interest above average. Harriet
Tubman s life is full of many accomplishments. Here, I have rated them from the most important. In
my personal point of view, her greatest consummation was being a Civil War spy, her second
greatest consummation was being a conductor on the Underground Railroad and lastly, her third
greatest consummation was being a Civil War wellness solicitude craftswoman and caregiver.
Harriet Tubman s most important consummation was being a Civil War spy. Harriet Tubman
helped many people as a spy, without her work helping thralls, it would have been very hard.

Tort Negligence Case Study
No, because there are excessively many acts of interfering negligence on the part of the landlord.
According to Tort law, it applies when one party neglect to act sensibly and hurt happens, despite
the fact that the person did not plan to cause hurt; the gathering is at risk for any wounds or harms
endured by another gathering because of the absurd direct (Melvin,2015). However, this class of
tort is called negligence. The essential contrast between purposeful torts and carelessness is the
outlook of the tortfeasor. At the point when a tortfeasor makes hurt a harmed party by making an
absurd danger of mischief, the law gives the harmed party a cure paying little respect to the
tortfeasor s purpose. The Restatements likewise perceive certain protections that might be stated
in a negligence case. Factors of negligence the law requires that particular components be
demonstrated with a specific end goal to recuperate in a claim against a tortfeasor for carelessness.
The harmed party must demonstrate five major components by noting certain inquiries regarding
the lead being referred to; Duty to find if tortfeasor owes an obligation of care to the harmed
party? Breach of obligation: Did the tortfeasor neglect to practice sensible care? Cause actually:
Except for the rupture of obligation by the tortfeasor, would the harmed party have endured harms?

The Negative Impacts Of Immigrants
In the recent decades, immigration has become a more popular option globally. Many people
choose to leave their home country simply for a better living environment or for other
uncontrollable reasons, such as wars and natural disasters. There are some countries are more
likely to accept immigrants; however some do not. One of the main reasons to rather accept or
reject immigrants would be that it is a major impact on the country s labor market environment.
Inviting immigrations into a country means that the labor force will increase due to the additional
numbers of labor have been recently added into in. In general, as the supply in labor increases, the
demand in labor decreases at the same time. That means it is then harder for the citizens of that
particular country to find a job since there are more people competing for positions. However, most
of the time it is not this simple. Different types of immigrant would make different impacts to a
country s labor market.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In other words, it would generally be more difficult of low skill local workers to find jobs that
suit their abilities. However, low skill workers or people who do not acquire a high school
diploma are usually low in developed countries such as Canada and USA. With that being said,
job positions that do not require higher education is demanding because most of the educated
people are not willing to work for positions that does not require critical skills. In many cases, low
skill immigrants are willing to take those positions not just because those jobs suit their ability, but
also because being employed by them is a major step to blend into the society and the

Supernatural Figures In Religion
Every culture has their own way of believing. As defined by the Supernatural Dictionary,
Supernatural figures are defined as: events or things that cannot be explained by nature or
science and that are assumed to come from beyond or to originate from otherworldly forces
(Supernatural Dictionary). In cultures specifically, they are worshipped in hope for a miracle or
wish. Supernatural figures like Japanese kami, Middle Eastern Genies, and European angels are
all looked upon for serving god, however they are approached differently and have different rituals.

kami is crucial for understanding the imperial system and its historical transformations, as well
as the extended resilience of the imperial system which survived in the face of changing
meanings and without any apparent power. kami arose as it was intended to serve the emperor.,
but later got a deeper spiritual meaning. There is no real explanation for the coming of jinns.
Believers say they may emerge from darkness or even come disguised as animals. Like kami,
angels rose were intended to be messengers from god. The Bible is a key informative for
explaining angels. The Bibe explains the different interactions and their purpose as messengers
from god. Some researchers believe that they were created before the six days outlined in Genesis
one. However, the Bible never explains why god would need to create

Essay On Exotic Animals
People Shouldn t Be Able To Have Exotic Animals
There are many exotic animals all over the world that live in the wild. There are many species
and some are extinct. Exotic animals are very expensive that require more than what people
realize. These animals belong in their natural habitats. It is wrong and cruel for the animals that
have to live in captivity when they are meant to live in the wild. Taking exotic animals out of the
wild disrupts the natural food chain and negatively affects natural selection. Exotic animals belong
in the wild because the reason they are exotic is because they cannot be tamed like any other pet,
and if they can t be tamed, they can become a harm to the owner and to others that the animal
feel threatened by. Injury and possibly death is likely to happen under such circumstances of the
animals being neglected. Another reason why I believe that exotic animals do not belong under
human captivity as pets is because it is harmful to the pets and the nature of them. Some animals
need their families to survive and they also need to learn to hunt in order for them to survive.
Once an exotic animal becomes the pet of someone, it becomes dependent which is unhealthy for
the animal, especially if they are brought under captivity at such an early age. Owning exotic
animals as keeping them as pets should be illegal is what I believe is right. Exotic animals kept as
house pets are a hazard to the pet owners and any other people around the

free spirit of rebellion of that decade through flashbacks by its characters. The novel describes the
traits of the fascistic Nixonian repression and its War on Drugs that occurred in U.S. society from
the 1960s to the 1980s. The central quest is that of a daughter for her absent mother, and while the
process by which the two are united involves an impressive accumulation of information about
international corporate practices and structures, the history of the Left in California, the effects of
Reaganomics and the War on Drugs, and the popular culture of the 1980s, there are no

The tension between satisfying our credulity and satisfying our skepticism, as David Lodge puts
it differently energises each of Fowles s first three novels. Realism can also be seen as an
ancestrally impure and precautious synthesis of history, romance and allegory; and from this
point of view character is the problematising of the relations between its consistent parts that
characterize much contemporary British fiction including Fowles s. The formal agony and
hesitation co exist; with immense formal energy and inventiveness in problematic fictions such
as Doris Lessing s The Golden Notebook, Augus Wilson s No Laughing Matters and differently
in Iris Murdock s The Black Prince as well as Fowles s The French Lieutenant s Woman. These
novels carry the currently inescapable and romance theories of insubordination. They leave the
reader as Lodge has suggested with a paradox about the relations between art and life. The reality
principle is never allowed to lapse entirely indeed, it is often involved to expose the artificiality of
conventional realistic illusion....This kind of novelistic, I am talking about referring a loyalty to
both (reality and fiction) but later the orthodox novelists and confidence on the possibility of
reconciling them. He makes the difficulty of the task, in a sense, his subjects (Bradbury 105).

The Fear of Child Soldiers in 3rd World Countries
Child Soldiers How would you feel if your child was forcibly abducted from your home to be a
soldier, and back in return you got 5$? This is one of the biggest fears for families in third world
countries. Children are being used as soldiers, servants , and slaves against their will. Child
soldiers has become a highly debated issue, due to the high popularity of Joseph Kony. Child
soldiers is unfortunately accepted usually because of the economic needs of families needs to
survive in poverty. Child warfare is a big problem today in the world. This is a big problem
because children are getting taken away from their families and just getting pulled into the war
and have to kill or they get beaten or killed if they put the kids in the front line to get killed
before the high ranks. In the world there are approximately 300,000 child soldiers around the
world. About 40% of the child soldiers are in their countries rank in the military. 40% of them
are girls. This mainly happens in Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Sudan. This
happens because the military does not want their high ranked soldiers to die, so they put the
child soldiers in the front line to die before the high ranked soldiers die. Also if the children don t
kill in the battle they get beaten with batons and even get killed with guns, knives, or sticks. Then
they get hung on a pole to show the people it s a sign of glory to the people that kill them. The

Most agreements permit airlines to fly from their home country to designated airports in the other
country: some also extend the freedom to provide continuing service to a third country, or to
another destination in the other country while carrying passengers from overseas.
In the 1990s, open skies agreements became more common. These agreements take many of these
regulatory powers from state governments and open up international routes to further competition.
Open skies agreements have met some criticism, particularly within the European Union, whose
airlines would be at a comparative disadvantage with the United States because of cabotage

The Pros And Cons Of Fiscal Decentralization
Cost effectiveness
The idea of fiscal decentralization injecting competition among local governments has an added
advantage of making local officials pursue customer driven investments which are more likely to
meet expectations of local people and patronage of services. When local service delivery meet
local people expectations, they tend to pay for services and even honor their tax obligations
without much coercion because they even appear more willing to do so (Briscoe and Garn 1995,
Litvack Seddon, 1999). Additionally, if what is being supplied meets local demand and associated
with the necessary openness or cost recovery, local people and groups have a higher tendency of
demanding accountability, closely monitoring local government activities which will reinforce the
corruption reduction theme discussed previously. Local monitoring and demand side of
accountability help to reduce information asymmetries and corruption tendencies which may have
potential to weaken both allocative efficiency and cost recovery. This demonstrates each of the
themes are closely interrelated and not mutually exclusive.

Tips On Choosing A Wordpress Theme
Tips on Choosing a WordPress Theme Choose Your Layout
When you sit down to construct your first WordPress website or blog you have a very big
decision to make immediately, and that s choosing a theme. This is probably the first thing you will
do after you install the software, and its major because your theme, or layout, is the first thing your
readers will see. Your theme represents you, and your goal is to make it as appealing as possible.
People will make an instant judgement as to the quality and value of your website as soon as
they land on your home page. Your header image should relay the message and purpose of your
website. Your navigation bar should be user intuitive, and the color scheme should be soft and
warm so you don t scare people off.
All of this is made easy if you have chosen the best possible theme for your product or service.
Lets learn a little about themes and then take a look at some tips on choosing your best possible
WordPress theme.
Look And Feel
Keep in mind that themes are simply the look , and to some degree, feel of your website. Your
theme is like the outside of your house; what people see first. It can have nice window dressing,
pretty colors, fancy decorative brick and an overall pleasant appeal. If people like what they see
they will enter, or (click) around and stay for a visit. This is what you want to keep your visitors in
the house. And, it all starts by having the right theme.
So start with an appealing theme and combine

Symbols In Anthony Doerr s All The Light We Cannot See
The novel All The Light We Cannot See, was written by Anthony Doerr. The novel was set
during World War Two era and features two parallel stories with characters from opposite points
of view. Doers tells the story of how both characters grow up through adversity and how they
overcome their personal struggles. Marie Laure is one of the main characters. She goes blind and
has to learn how to navigate life alone after he father leaves her in the care of her Uncle Etienne.
Werner, the second main character, overcame being an orphan and makes a life decision based
upon his worst fear. Both characters, though living separate but parallel lives, share similar life
experiences that are connected with numerous symbolic objects. Throughout the novelDoerr uses
symbolic objects to create a connection for the reader between Werner and Marie Laure. Doerr s
use of this method to bridge the characters together is done so with the use of several items such
as the radio, shells and mollusks, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and the Sea of Flames.
The radio was a major symbol throughout the novel. It played a large role in Werner and Marie
Laure s lives. It was because of the radio that brought the two together. The radio symbolizes the
connection that it give to the people of the world. In All the Lights We Cannot See, radios were
illegal. They were illegal because it gave people the ability to communicate with allies in hopes of

Verizon Advertising Strategy
Content creators and advertisers are hungry for more alternatives, Verizon s chairman and CEO
Lowell McAdam said. Verizon intends to be a significant player in this space. As growth in
traditional telecom business get slower every year, Verizon has decided to venture in to the content
business with acquisitions of AOL and Yahoo.
Yahoo, who once had a price tag of $45 billion, and was picked up by Verizon for a paltry $5
billion, but the small price tag still come with big content. With monthly visits sitting at about 1
billion from its News, Finance and Sports, this acquisition is giving Verizon what it wants. With
over 140 million subscribers, Verizon s goal is to capitalize on the content that reaches their
customers. For about a year ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Whether a Yahoo acquisition can lead to even a small share of balance of power in digital
advertising is the big question. Yahoo plus AOL would give Verizon, the largest wireless telecom
provider in the US, a reported 5 percent share of digital ad revenues globally. The most common
argument is that Verizon is over paying for two things: a competitive content platform and better ad
tech. Beginning with content, there are four kings: Google, Facebook, Snapchat and Netflix. Then
we have a distinct second tier: Twitter, Hulu, Amazon and Microsoft.
Could Verizon crack that second tier? They have one significant obstacle in their way, they don t
have a unified platform that can tie their different media properties

Bed Bath and Beyond vs. Linens N Things
.Management theory principles November 20, 2011 Bed Bath Beyond VS. Linens n Things The
two companies I have chosen to research and dissect on why one has had great success and one
has had great failure are Bed Bath and Beyond and Linens n Things. When looking at both
companies they seem to be similar to one another with the items they sell, the store layout and
policies so why it that one failed and one is still standing. Managements job is to oversee others so
their activities are completed efficiently and effectively. After looking into these two companies
there seems to be some underlying reasons why. Linens n Things was introduced in 1975 and has

Although they have significant similarities in the beginning setting, their performance results
separate severely. On the surface, both companies were following a similar business level
strategy of cost leadership, but key strategic decisions led them down very different paths. Both
companies focused on providing consumers with high quality houseware goods in a no frills,
value priced environment, but Linens n Things decision to build centralized warehouses that
seemed consistent with a cost leadership strategy ended up bringing it into direct competition
with Target and Walmart while as you know is a whole different ball game compared to, Bed
Bath and Beyond which allowed for greater decentralization in decision making, which made
allowing more store level decision making and greater customization to local shoppers tastes. As
a result, Bed Bath and Beyond was able to better tell itself apart from Walmart and Target. Bed
Bath and Beyond s market capitalization was approximately $10.7 billion, while there stores

The Bystander Effect In Today s Society
The Bystander Effect
Imagine a child is the center of attention for the wrong reason. People just stand there and watch
as the child is being picked on because he/she was not like everyone else. This is one of the many
ways the bystander effect has integrated itself into today s society. The Bystander effectby
definition is restraining influence of the presence of others on a person s willingness to help
someone in need. The Bystander effect can happen anywhere: school, work, and everywhere else in
the world. This paper will teach people how the Bystander Effect, affects the bullies and everyone
around them. The Bystander effect encourages bullies to continue to torment others. Most people

People do not believe that the student observing would faced tribulation. However this belief is
false. Bystanders face repercussions much like victims do. They face anxiety about getting bullied
because they were at the same place as the student getting picked on. This anxiety can become so
severe that the student will think that the place and/or school is unsafe, and they will avoid these
places (Gordon). If these students have anxiety about coming to school, then they will not get an
education. Then the student will have trouble on tests and finals which determine whether they
graduate high school. This anxiety starts a downward spiral in the course of life. The observer will
also have guilt about not standing up, and they will be more likely to be pressured to bully in the
future( Bystander ). These students are the future, and they will have guilt over one matter that

The Ethics Of Human Genetic Engineering
Imagine the possibility of eliminating serious genetic diseases from the world. Imagine the idea of
treating, preventing or even curing diseases that are yet to be cured. Imagine the feeling of being
given improved health and a prolonged lifespan. This can all be accomplished with the aide of
genetic engineering. Human genetic engineering refers to the process of directly manipulating
human DNAto produce wanted results. DNA is a simple but very complex chemical that has the
power to change the world and has begun to do so already. Many opponents to gene therapy fail to
realize that genetic engineering has great potential to become very important in the biomedical
industry. Though controversy exists regarding the ethics of human genetic engineering, it can
produce numerous benefits, which outweigh its disadvantages and side effects; therefore, scientists
should be able to manipulate the human genome for the purpose of helping people with serious
medical conditions.
Genetic engineering in general has started to come about in the last fifty years but the idea of using
GET (Genetic Engineering Technology) to manipulate human embryos has surfaced within the past
few years. Russell Powell, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, says that there is mounting evidence,
ranging from advances in medical genetics to the successful genetic modification of laboratory
animals, that humans will eventually be able to alter many of their biological characteristics

Racial Tensions Between Colored Americans And White Americans
The 1950 s and 1960 s were plagued by racial tensions between colored Americans and white
Americans. Colored Americans were denied equal access to education, jobs, and voting. After
decades of oppression, the colored Americans felt worn out, and had already been through enough,
and were finally ready to fight for change. Although the civil rights movement was supported
mostly by the colored Americans, many white Americans were also ready for change. The
interpretation of the civil rights era was modeled by the Brown vs. Board of education case, the
imperative speech by John F. Kennedy, and the student non violent coordinating committee
proposal.
In June 1892, the Plessy v. Ferguson case established the separate but equal frame for America
and called it constitutional. The entire case occurred because Plessy was sitting on the white side
of the train and despite his light complexion, was still sent to jail. However, equality came to a
poorly limited extent. Some never felt equal at all. Decades later, in 1954, the Brown v. Board of
education case dealt with an African Americanfamily asking for justice in regards to their
daughter s education. The Brown family, like many others, felt as though white children were
seen as more deserving, and more capable, and therefore were receiving a better education than
the colored children. In the Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka (Unger 262) case, Chief
justice Warren, C.J challenged others and asked if the segregation of

My Experience At Bmw s Playground Essay
This summer we had the chance to spend some time in Europe. One of our stopping points was
Munich. Needless to say we relished in the opportunity to play in BMW s playground. As you
will read below, we are massive car enthusiasts, so you can imagine our excitement in visiting
BMW s heartland! We were like kids in a candy shop ogling and drooling at the new toys, new
cars, and the latest and greatest.
For those that don t know, let me give you a brief history lesson on both myself and Chris. I have
ALWAYS had a passion for cars. There is just something so sexy about cars, the lines, the power,
the way they make you feel...if you are a car person, you know what I mean and how I am
feeling even typing this. Let s put it this way, when my family went to buy a car, they took me,
the little cute little blonde versus one of my 3 brothers. I knew more about the cars than the sales
person. Chris has been around the car world his entire life. His father had a dealership, and Chris
followed suit. He worked at a Ford dealership; then shortly was recruited to run a Cadillac store.
From there, he was once again pursued open and own his own Infiniti dealership. Pretty much, we
love nice luxurious cars!
As I stated in our very 1st meeting, I NEVER want anyone to be that person that is simply
nodding along and having absolutely no idea what is going on and all kinds of confused, I want to

Essay On 19th Century American Entertainment
During the 19th century, American had long working hours and have awful working condition
because of the American Industrialization. In order to relieve their stress, entertainments were
necessary. There were many forms of entertainment that were performed throughout America s
history. Two of the popular entertainment at that time were minstrel show and freak show. Minstrel

The High Window Edges Close At The Death Of Morningstar...
As The High Window edges close to the climax and conclusion, Raymond Chandler uses this stage
as a time for readers to make comparisons and assumptions between characters. With the protagonist
the most relatable Chandler presents Marlowe several intriguing similarities with other characters,
thus allowing the reader to create assumptions about his overall development throughout the novel.
However, despite coming off as a tough, quick witted detective, Marlowe unveils new unordinary
characteristics and reactions as the novel progresses through a series of events. Despite that, the
introduction of Detective Lieutenant Jesse Breeze in Chapter 10 ultimately proves to be Marlowe s
vague double with their job conclusively making them complete opposite.
Nonetheless, despite showing no sign of odd or unusual behavior throughout the first several
chapters of the novel, Chandler only after the death of Morningstar and detective Phillip begins
to display Marlowe s unnatural behaviors. As Marlowe experiences a tunnel of events, Chandler
slightly presents his awkward and odd reactions to distinctive situations deliberately. With a
pattern of character development seen by Marlowe, his pattern ultimately proves to shape his
characteristics as emotions and reactions shift from the ordinary detective persona to a more open
and real world approach. With his case expanding to police investigations along with murders
Marlowe begins to realize that his case is far from ordinary or similar to

that inspired country dancing. As country dancing grew, it started to evolve. Overtime, few things

Product Liability Essay
Product Liability This week s question concerns liability and moral responsibility in consumer
products. As the question is multi part, the answer will be likewise. To begin, the first question
addresses who should be liable for the voluntary actions of others. Specifically, if substantial
information concerning the hazards of a product or service has been offered to the consumer,
who is to blame if someone is injured? Similar to most questions derived from this course, the
answer is it depends. From a legal standpoint, the contract or arrangement must first be analyzed.

dive, then the legal concept of duty of care obviously... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In an ethical light, this arrangement of reasonable liability division is in keeping with our
understanding of moral rights in the economic sense. According to the negative right of freedom of
consent, all parties should be free to make any arrangement to which both parties agree. It is a
moral imperative in this free consenting agreement or contract that both parties fully disclose all
pertinent aspects of the arrangement, in this case, the disclosing of the inherent risks involved with
jumping out of an airplane (Velasquez, 330). Once both parties are satisfied with the conditions of
the agreement, they are free to commit to the agreement via contract. The buyer has freely accepted
the risk of the product, and the seller has fulfilled his obligation to provide enough information for
the buyer to make an educated decision. The liability transfers from the seller to the buyer once
both parties have freely and knowledgeably entered the contractual agreement. In this arrangement,
the rights of all parties have been preserved. Additionally, this arrangement fulfills the deontological
requirements of an ethical contract. The seller has a moral duty to provide the safest product
possible in relation to the nature of that product. The seller also has an obligation to disclose
information about his or her product that could cause

Indeed, These Results Are Coherent With The Works Of Major
Indeed, these results are coherent with the works of major contemporary immigrant economists.
One of the most renown professor specialized in the field, Borjas, concluded in 2001 that
immigration, especially low skill, only decreases the wage elasticity (percent change in hours
working over percent change in salary) of the natives to about .3% to .4% (41 Kerr). Similarly,
Altonji and Card estimated a negligible negative effect on total employment about 0.1% by 1989

Instead of immigrants, the neoliberal structure of the US economy is the main culprit of the current
employment tensions and low skilled labor supply surplus. Neoliberalism refers to the ideological
practices and political economic structures that serve the corporate instead of public interest (23
Harvey). Specifically, it advocates steps of privatization, financialization, the management and
manipulation of crisis, and state redistributions benefit the corporate power. Nevertheless, different
from the traditional capitalism defined by either Adam Smith or Keynes, it emphasizes more on the
systematic involvement of the government to support their local and oversea interests (Harvey). In
result, it possesses a strange but unique phenomenon not predicted by many scholars the inability to
upgrade the labor to meet the demand of supply. Neoliberalism promotes the large outflow of
capital oversea, especially those that are best characterized by labor intensive industries. These
industries usually require minimal amount of training and generate mass employment. On the other
hand, the high ended technological and innovative capital, best characterized by capital intensive
industries, remained domestic. These industries often demand a great amount of skill and training,
whose cost are very high, but provide only limited employment. In these cases,

Alfred Hitchcock s Rear Window continues and expands on traditional themes of the Detective
Fiction Genre. In 1841, Murder in the Rue Morgue by Edgar Allan Poe broke the traditional
character constraints of the Crime Fiction Genre, by introducing a new type of lead detective
figure. The ideal detective figure encompassed traits of superiority, intelligence, wit and a keen
sense for observation. The lead detective figure is a sophisticated character that is not bound to the

The minimal use of dramatic irony plays an important role to the structure of the mystery, when

How Is King Arthur Radley Revenge
Arthur Radley Would Revenge After reading the first three chapters of To Kill a Mocking Bird,
I formulated a rudimentary hypothesis about Mr. Arthur Radley: Being alive, he was imprisoned

his antisocial personality. When he finally got an opportunity, he revenged on the three children
for their ceaseless harassment, and injured Jem s arm. Arthur Radley was still incarcerated in
the Radley Place. After Mr. Radley s death, Boo s elder brother returned from Pensacola and
took Mr. Radley s place . This fact implies the existence of Arthur Radley, who was considered
dangerous and required custody. Another significant evidence lies on the first page: He (Jem)

making Boo Radley come out . It suggests that Radley would cause Jem s injury, either directly or

to the state industrial school with his friends. Instead, the mulish father determined to confine him
at home. Because of Arthur Radley s misdemeanor and solitary, many people in the town, including
Jem, regarded him as an atrocious creature. Extreme solitude and ubiquitous animosity would
arouse his hatred against other people. In addition, Miss Stephanie Crawford told us that Arthur
Radley had stabbed his father s leg abruptly with a scissor. Although her account might be partly

  • 2. The Importance Of Discontent In Shakespeare s King Lear Characters are often unsatisfied with their the place they find themselves in society. Discontent is what drives them to gain ambition in their ability to radically change their situation to one that is most favorable in their perspective. These changes differ from character to character, including alterations in their moral conduct, mental capability, or in something as easy as his way of dress. The ambition to change rests deep within the character s soul, regardless of how simple their actions may be. Fathoming a false image of oneself not only damages the individual, but creates trouble for the people around them, such as family and loved ones. An individual s set of morals is proven when faced with adversity. Edmund in Shakespeare s King Lear was labeled as the illegitimate child of Gloucester. A believer in the laws on nature rather than the norms and regulations of society, the title of being the illegitimate child aggravated Edmund immensely; there wasn t one single difference between him and his legitimate brother, Edgar: [...] why bastard? / When my dimensions are as well compact, / My mind as generous and my shape as true [...] (I ii 6 7). In frustration, Edmund expressed his loyalty to nature and her laws, where all children were treated equally by their families, and in turn questioned the authority of manmade, royal laws that discriminated against him unjustly. Edmund wanted what he couldn t have by conventional terms, his father s wealth that would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. The Mentality Of Baseball In Fences By August Wilson August Wilson uses baseball ideology to construct the mindset of his protagonist, Troy Maxson, in Fences ; however, Wilson also uses Troy to embody black America in the 50s. The metaphorical and literal significance of baseball is the driving force Troy s subjectivity and ideology. Whether it be comparing death to baseballpitch, warning his son to not strikeout, or complaining about being stuck on first base, Troy uses baseball to explain life to those around him. Ironically, it is baseball that actually leads to Troy s psychic castration. Although Troy was older when he was released from prison and playing in the Negro leagues, racismheld younger players from competing with white Americans and there is no doubt that Troy saw this as what held him back as well. Unable to play in the major leagues bitters Troy s attitude towards life and affects his relationship with his son, Cory, and wife, Rose. While on a micro level, the rules and mechanics of baseball have a negative impact on Troy s mentality, on a macro level Troy s loyalty to the game can be seen as an empowering force for black America in the 50s. The idea of not striking out, and the fetish of the home run is meant to represent the black community s resistance against society s racism during this time. Although the ideology of baseball consumes Troy to the point of his own personal strikeouts, the ideology itself, and who Troy represents, is suppose to represent black America s fight against a racist ... • 5. How Cellphones Have Become An Important Part Of Our Daily... Cellphones have become an important part of our daily lives. They connect us to others and have revolutionized the world we live in from social interaction apps like Tinder to a GPS that will take you wherever one needs to go. One large competitor growing in this industry is Apple. They have reached more than 700 million people worldwide with their product, the iPhone(Tofel 2015): a milestone that may not have been possible without mastering the art of the global supply chain. The path to the creation of the iPhone is not as simple as the phone itself. It requires many pieces which all do not easily come from the same place. Professor Rivoli s book Travels of a T Shirt in the Global Economy spoke of the line between passion and reason. Through passion an iPhone was created but at what cost or for what reason? This is about the path taken to create a product that over 700 million people marvel about. For Apple, the iPhone starts on the drawing boards of engineers in California. It initially started in 2007 as a phone well ahead others in technology. But what separated the iPhone from competition was its design characteristics of simplicity, functionality, and sleek design. Today we are on the 6th generation of the popular device. Not too much has drastically changed from the original design, primarily technology tweaks to improve its performance. Once new modifications have been completed, the plans are sent to Foxconn and Pegatron to be assembled in China (Rudy Media 2014). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. The Greatest Consummation Of Harriet Tubman Harriet Tubman started off as a lowly thrall, but died a remarkable hero. Harriet Tubman wasn t her real name, her birth name was Minty Ross. It was important for her to change her name because she was an escaped thrall trying to help other thralls gain their freedom. So she needed a new identity. Harriet was around twenty seven when she escaped vassalage. Harriet joined a secret network known as the Underground Railroad to unrestrained thralls. Soon after Harriet became a spy for the Civil War, from there she became a Civil War wellness solicitude craftswoman. After the war, she was a caregiver for the rest of her life. I was asked to define Harriet Tubmans greatest consummation. I will also rank her consummations by the amount of risk, the amount of people she helped, and the amount of time the consummation took. My definition of greatest consummation means a skill or effort given with an interest above average. Harriet Tubman s life is full of many accomplishments. Here, I have rated them from the most important. In my personal point of view, her greatest consummation was being a Civil War spy, her second greatest consummation was being a conductor on the Underground Railroad and lastly, her third greatest consummation was being a Civil War wellness solicitude craftswoman and caregiver. According to Tort law, it applies when one party neglect to act sensibly and hurt happens, despite the fact that the person did not plan to cause hurt; the gathering is at risk for any wounds or harms endured by another gathering because of the absurd direct (Melvin,2015). However, this class of tort is called negligence. The essential contrast between purposeful torts and carelessness is the outlook of the tortfeasor. At the point when a tortfeasor makes hurt a harmed party by making an absurd danger of mischief, the law gives the harmed party a cure paying little respect to the tortfeasor s purpose. • 9. The Negative Impacts Of Immigrants In the recent decades, immigration has become a more popular option globally. Many people choose to leave their home country simply for a better living environment or for other uncontrollable reasons, such as wars and natural disasters. There are some countries are more likely to accept immigrants; however some do not. One of the main reasons to rather accept or reject immigrants would be that it is a major impact on the country s labor market environment. Inviting immigrations into a country means that the labor force will increase due to the additional numbers of labor have been recently added into in. In general, as the supply in labor increases, the demand in labor decreases at the same time. That means it is then harder for the citizens of that particular country to find a job since there are more people competing for positions. However, most of the time it is not this simple. • 11. Essay On Exotic Animals People Shouldn t Be Able To Have Exotic Animals There are many exotic animals all over the world that live in the wild. There are many species and some are extinct. Exotic animals are very expensive that require more than what people realize. These animals belong in their natural habitats. It is wrong and cruel for the animals that have to live in captivity when they are meant to live in the wild. Taking exotic animals out of the wild disrupts the natural food chain and negatively affects natural selection. Exotic animals belong in the wild because the reason they are exotic is because they cannot be tamed like any other pet, and if they can t be tamed, they can become a harm to the owner and to others that the animal feel threatened by. Injury and possibly death is likely to happen under such circumstances of the animals being neglected. Another reason why I believe that exotic animals do not belong under human captivity as pets is because it is harmful to the pets and the nature of them. Some animals need their families to survive and they also need to learn to hunt in order for them to survive. Once an exotic animal becomes the pet of someone, it becomes dependent which is unhealthy for the animal, especially if they are brought under captivity at such an early age. Owning exotic animals as keeping them as pets should be illegal is what I believe is right. Exotic animals kept as house pets are a hazard to the pet owners and any other people around the ... The Pros And Cons Of Fiscal Decentralization Cost effectiveness The idea of fiscal decentralization injecting competition among local governments has an added advantage of making local officials pursue customer driven investments which are more likely to meet expectations of local people and patronage of services. When local service delivery meet local people expectations, they tend to pay for services and even honor their tax obligations without much coercion because they even appear more willing to do so (Briscoe and Garn 1995, Litvack Seddon, 1999). Additionally, if what is being supplied meets local demand and associated with the necessary openness or cost recovery, local people and groups have a higher tendency of demanding accountability, closely monitoring local government activities which will reinforce the corruption reduction theme discussed previously. For those that don t know, let me give you a brief history lesson on both myself and Chris. I have ALWAYS had a passion for cars. There is just something so sexy about cars, the lines, the power, the way they make you feel...if you are a car person, you know what I mean and how I am feeling even typing this. Let s put it this way, when my family went to buy a car, they took me, the little cute little blonde versus one of my 3 brothers. I knew more about the cars than the sales person. Chris has been around the car world his entire life. His father had a dealership, and Chris followed suit. He worked at a Ford dealership; then shortly was recruited to run a Cadillac store. From there, he was once again pursued open and own his own Infiniti dealership. Pretty much, we love nice luxurious cars! As I stated in our very 1st meeting, I NEVER want anyone to be that person that is simply nodding along and having absolutely no idea what is going on and all kinds of confused, I want to start with the basics of BMW and then dive into why they are so successful. • 31. The High Window Edges Close At The Death Of Morningstar... As The High Window edges close to the climax and conclusion, Raymond Chandler uses this stage as a time for readers to make comparisons and assumptions between characters. With the protagonist the most relatable Chandler presents Marlowe several intriguing similarities with other characters, thus allowing the reader to create assumptions about his overall development throughout the novel. However, despite coming off as a tough, quick witted detective, Marlowe unveils new unordinary characteristics and reactions as the novel progresses through a series of events. Despite that, the introduction of Detective Lieutenant Jesse Breeze in Chapter 10 ultimately proves to be Marlowe s vague double with their job conclusively making them complete opposite. Nonetheless, despite showing no sign of odd or unusual behavior throughout the first several chapters of the novel, Chandler only after the death of Morningstar and detective Phillip begins to display Marlowe s unnatural behaviors. As Marlowe experiences a tunnel of events, Chandler slightly presents his awkward and odd reactions to distinctive situations deliberately. With a pattern of character development seen by Marlowe, his pattern ultimately proves to shape his characteristics as emotions and reactions shift from the ordinary detective persona to a more open and real world approach. With his case expanding to police investigations along with murders Marlowe begins to realize that his case is far from ordinary or similar to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 35. Product Liability Essay Product Liability This week s question concerns liability and moral responsibility in consumer products. As the question is multi part, the answer will be likewise. To begin, the first question addresses who should be liable for the voluntary actions of others. Specifically, if substantial information concerning the hazards of a product or service has been offered to the consumer, who is to blame if someone is injured? Similar to most questions derived from this course, the answer is it depends. From a legal standpoint, the contract or arrangement must first be analyzed. If, for example, the activity is a high risk activity such as sky diving or feeding sharks on a scuba dive, then the legal concept of duty of care obviously... According to the negative right of freedom of consent, all parties should be free to make any arrangement to which both parties agree. It is a moral imperative in this free consenting agreement or contract that both parties fully disclose all pertinent aspects of the arrangement, in this case, the disclosing of the inherent risks involved with jumping out of an airplane (Velasquez, 330). Once both parties are satisfied with the conditions of the agreement, they are free to commit to the agreement via contract. The buyer has freely accepted the risk of the product, and the seller has fulfilled his obligation to provide enough information for the buyer to make an educated decision. The liability transfers from the seller to the buyer once both parties have freely and knowledgeably entered the contractual agreement. In this arrangement, the rights of all parties have been preserved. Additionally, this arrangement fulfills the deontological requirements of an ethical contract. One of the most renown professor specialized in the field, Borjas, concluded in 2001 that immigration, especially low skill, only decreases the wage elasticity (percent change in hours working over percent change in salary) of the natives to about .3% to .4% (41 Kerr). Similarly, Altonji and Card estimated a negligible negative effect on total employment about 0.1% by 1989 (43 Kerr). Instead of immigrants, the neoliberal structure of the US economy is the main culprit of the current employment tensions and low skilled labor supply surplus. Neoliberalism refers to the ideological practices and political economic structures that serve the corporate instead of public interest (23 Harvey). Specifically, it advocates steps of privatization, financialization, the management and manipulation of crisis, and state redistributions benefit the corporate power. Nevertheless, different from the traditional capitalism defined by either Adam Smith or Keynes, it emphasizes more on the systematic involvement of the government to support their local and oversea interests (Harvey). In result, it possesses a strange but unique phenomenon not predicted by many scholars the inability to upgrade the labor to meet the demand of supply. Neoliberalism promotes the large outflow of capital oversea, especially those that are best characterized by labor intensive industries. These industries usually require minimal amount of training and generate mass employment. On the other hand, the high ended technological and innovative capital, best characterized by capital intensive industries, remained domestic.
