Boston Celtics Case Analysis
The Boston Celtics earned a successful 2018 season despite tragic injuries and a game 7 Eastern
Conference Finals loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Boston s current contract situation should provide
more success in the future. Two superstars, veterans, and young talent make them one of the most
concrete organizations in the league, not to mention their foundation is laid for a few more years. The
Celtics player contracts are led by Gordan Hayward, who signed a 4 year max contract in the 2017
offseason. He suffered a tragic left ankle fracture in the season opener debut with the Celtics, forcing
him to miss the 2017 2018 season. This was an unavoidable financial downfall, but with more years
on the contract they still have opportunities with Hayward in the future. Breakout talent Terry Rozier
will be going into free agency in the 2018 2019 off season, potentially leaving the Celtics if they
cannot pay the expected high dollar amount to sign Rozier again. Gritty and forceful Aron Baynes is
also expected to explore free agency in the 2018 off season which could leave the team without the ...

Boston s ability to draft and trade in the past decade has been top tier in the NBA, getting young
talents with star power signed onto rookie contracts. This is perfectly showcased in their 2017 1st
round draft pick of Jayson Tatum who averaged star numbers in their 2018 playoff run. Physical and
defensive role players such as Marcus Morris and Marcus Smart are each earning a fraction of what
they might earn in the following seasons, each showing potential beyond what they had prior to
entering the Celtics organization. The Celtic s ability to limit high value contracts to their three stars
(Irving, Hayward, Horford) and underpay their rising stars has allowed them to sit well financially and

Pharmacist Reference Letter
It is my pleasure to recommend Erick Leung for your UMHS Pharmacy Internship program. He
volunteered for me at the UC Davis Clinic Pharmacy last summer and winter break and I find him to
be an intelligent, dedicated, and hardworking young man. He was always on time and ready to work.
Although he had no prior experience in the pharmacy field, he was eager to learn and help in any
capacity and utilized each task as a learning experience for him. For example, he turned the most
mundane task of filing prescription to learn drugs brand and generic names. He helped me with
pulling and returning expired drugs and cashiering. Erick caught on quickly and was constantly
willing to help. During his time her, I observed his interactions with staffs and patients and discovered

Erick was extremely positive. The preceptors commented he was inquisitive, intelligent, and a fast
learner. He was always willing to assist in any assignment and accompany the TOC team on their
rounds so he could experience the collaboration between the medical staffs. They also expressed their
appreciation for Erick multiple times for helping them with the patient discharge process and finding
drug and manufacture discount cards to help with patients copays.
When Erick informed me he wanted to apply to your UMHS Internship program, I was ecstatic that
his passion for learning continues to motivate him to expand his pharmacy experience beyond the
classroom. I highly recommend Erick for your internship program. I believe his dedication to learning

Becoming An Ally By White Americans
Becoming an Ally
When white Americans choose to self educate about systemic racism they can become allies in the
fight to dismantle racist structures in our society. Systemic racism is a theory that takes a look at how
individual, structural, and institutional forms of racism intersect, overlap, and create a deep rooted
form of prejudice and discrimination that advantages a cultural group at the expense of others in all
institutions of a society economics, political representation, the criminal justice system, employment,
and many others. (Luther College 2015). This includes discrimination affecting credit, schooling,
justice, residential location, etc. It can be eradicated in the next century, but not without white people
acknowledging that it is a real issue that cost lives. It is not the duty of the oppressed to make a liberty
sales pitch to their oppressors. However, it is the responsibility of those benefiting from the oppression
of others to become educated, listen, and use their privilege to combat injustice. Asian, Latino, Black,
and First Nations people respectively do not experience white supremacy in the same ways.
Throughout this essay I will focus on the systemic racism targeted at Black people, using the term
People of Color , coined by Black Feminists in the 1970s, abbreviated to PoC, to refer to them.
The first step to becoming an ally to People of Color is to become educated about the issue to
understand that racism did not disappear with the Civil

Prevalence of Obesity in Children Introduced in the Elementary School Prevalence of obesity in the
children introduced in Elementary School is an article published by Journal of Nursing discussing
childhood obesity in elementary schools. Obesity is defined as excessive accumulation of body fat
(deWit O Neill, 2014). The article is based on studies performed in Brazilian communities. Topics of
the different studies consisted of private school setting, lower income families in different locations,
different child age groups and socioeconomic differences. The first study consisted of children in
private school settings. The obesity rate in the public school was 11.3% and 27.0% in girls and 13.0%
in boys (Rocha, 2013). The middle and high socioeconomic status of the children was not a factor to
why the children would or would not be overweight (Rocha, 2013). It would be assumed that because
children of higher socioeconomic status who would see a pediatrician on a regular basis would not be
overweight. The second study was performed on kindergarten students. Weight for the age and height
was used in this study. It was decided that females showed higher concentration to males (Rocha,
2013). The third study was conducted on students from ages of six to nine. This study had the lowest
rate of obesity 3.6% (Rocha, 2013). The founding of this study weighed more on the aspect to what
mother or parent was feeding this population of the study (Rocha2013). The children

Music And Its Impact On Music
Since the early days of human existence, sweet sounds of music have brought joy to the human race.
However, throughout time, music seems to have taken a bit of a detour as progress is concerned.
Music gradually became more complex and advanced as the centuries progressed. On the other hand,
recently, music seems to have deviated from its steady ascension toward the next, more advanced
stage. Has there been a recession in the complexity and overall magic of music? Personally, I believe
that there is a lot of truth to this concept of relapse . Over the course of musical expression, inventions
of different instruments and music theory concepts were created and used to benefit the science and
progression of music through time. Throughout each period of music that we studied, the music
changed based on the culture and the technology that was prevalent within its respective time period.
Music found in the baroque period, for instance, is very complex and involves the use of several
different musical voices. When we look at a lot of the mainstream music of modern day, it is very easy
to realize that we have definitely taken a step backwards. Nowadays, the popular musical artworks
that are being released lack complexity or any kind of variation at all. Modern pop music has really hit
a stand still. One of the most characteristic aspects of a modern pop song is the repetition that is used
throughout most songs. Honestly, anyone who has a decent ear for music

Comparing Three Cultures
The readings and video showed the similarities and differences of the threes cultures. King Tut, The
Emperor of China, and The Lords of Sipan all had strong feelings of the afterlife. Their cultures all felt
that you don t stop existing once you are dead. They all felt that you continue to live in the afterlife
with all their possessions. Women, men, animals, and children were buried along with the tombs of the
leaders. Sacrifices were made as well to certain animals and prisoners as part of the burial rituals.
Burials of our leaders today in America is completely different, American families don t even put half
of the work when it comes to burring an American leader. They pay funeral homes to do all the work
for them. Which is a bit similar ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They did not believe or thought that once you die that your life ends there, they believed in an
afterlife. Americans don t believe in the afterlife, When you are dead that is it you are gone never to
return. Rituals are not provided for American leaders like they were for the three cultures from the
readings. For American leader when they die we would have a special funeral arrangements done like
a flag ceremony with guns being fired. No sacrifices are made and other people are not buried with
them. The amount of time the three cultures would use to prepare for the burial of their leader was less
than that in the American culture. For an American funeral it can take less than a week for everything
to be done. Being that the other cultures believed in an afterlife and wanted their leader to enter it
properly. They took their time with the preparations and this showed the respect and how much they
honored the person. It also showed how important the person was, someone of their status have to be
buried with their company and treasures. Whereas Americans only have a wake and then a funeral to
follow. This doesn t mean that the Americans don t respect nor care for their leader. There is no need
to bury a person with all of those items, no need for it. There is no afterlife in the American culture so
there is no need for the sacrifices along with the rituals that other cultures do when it comes to burring
someone. We have our time for grief, then a wake, and the funeral is where we say our final goodbyes.
That is how burials are done in the

A Review Public And Private Waste Management
Azam, A. S., Mansoor, A. (2004). Partnerships for solid waste management in developing countries:
linking theories to realities. Habitat International, 28, 467 479.
In this article, Azam and Mansoor review public and private waste management sectors, and the
possibilities for partnership. By conducting a literature review, they conclude that the current isolated
arrangement in the industry should be replaced with a vertical integration between small scale
agencies and the public sector. The main limitation of the article is that it focuses developing countries
as a whole, thus the suggestion may not be applied in particular city due to the complexity of social
and political structure. This article is relevant to PLAN 440/674 because it discusses waste
management in developing countries.

landfill in Great Britain. The authors analyze health data of the populations with 2km of a landfill site.
They conclude there is small excess risk of congenital anomalies and low and very low birth weight in
population, which indicates that there may be a possible causal association with the distances to
landfill. This study is useful for PLAN440/647 because it introduces a connection

Sovereign States must Take and Active Role in Global...
By simply interpreting the definition, middle powers are sovereign states that are not super powers or
great powers in the field of international relations, but still have moderate or significant influence than
small powers and have international recognition by other states. After the Second World War, global
society became starting to be aware of the fact that there was a need for middle powers, not so directly
engaged in global economics and politics, to act as intermediary in global governance. With rapid
globalization process among various sectors and many states, the global society has become more
interconnected and interdependent ever in terms of facing global problems as wells as regional ones.
Also with the current international relations, sovereign states as middle powers, they reflect the
tendency to compromise, coordinate, and cooperate in order to maintain their national interests, status
quo Jeffrey Robertson, South Korea as a Middle Power: capacity, Behavior, and Now Opportunity,

days, and as middle powers they would try to find their voice in international community. This paper
is to examine how middle powers play in current global governance, based on middle power theories.

with the people he works with and the people he represents. Another characteristic that a good
political leader should have is empathy, he must understand the problems and feeling of the people
who he is representing. He should have a vision of what he wants to do during his term as a political
leader and have an organized plan of how to accomplish their vision . 2. On the other hand a poor

Facebook witness an exponential increase in user activity when an event takes place in the real world.
This activity is a combination of good quality content like information, personal views, opinions,
comments, as well as poor quality content like rumours, spam, and other malicious content. Although,
the good quality content makes online social media a rich source of information, consumption of poor
quality content can degrade user experience, and have inappropriate impact in the real world. In
addition, the enormous popularity, promptness, and reach of online social media services across the
world makes it essential to monitor this activity, and minimize the production and spread of poor
quality content. Multiple studies in the past have analysed the content spread on social networks
during real world events. However, little work has explored the Facebook social network. Two of the
main reasons for the lack of studies on Facebook are the strict privacy settings, and limited amount of
data available from Facebook, as compared to Twitter. With over 1 billion monthly active users,
Facebook is about times bigger than its next biggest counterpart Twitter, and is currently, the largest
online social network in the world. In this literature survey, we review the existing research

National Honor Society Greatest Achievements
Getting accepted into the National Honor Society is my proudest achievements to date, and even
though it is not the most outstanding achievement, it was important to me because it transcended

well represented at my school. Unfortunately, the diversity in my school is undermined by segregation

students). Now I m not speaking of segregation in terms of separate water ... Show more content on

Neural Network Based Intrusion Detection Systems
3. Neural Networks This technique follows the same notion of how human brain works. It consists of
collection of highly interconnected processing elements that convert a set of given inputs to a set of
desired outputs. The widely used neural network for intrusion detection is Multilayer Perceptions
(MLP).Neural Network based intrusion detection systems are intended to classify the normal and
intrusion patterns and the type of the attack. For this purpose, the network is trained on various types
of attacks and normal data. One input node is present for each element of the feature vector, and one
output node for each class, to which a feature may be assigned, as shown in fig.4. The nodes in the
hidden layer are connected to the input nodes and the connection has some initial weight assigned to
it. These weights can be modified during the training process. Fig.4 : Neural Network Back
propagation rule is the learning algorithm used for MLP which is a gradient descent method and is
based on an error function. Error function represents the difference between network s calculated
output and desired output. The error is back propagated from one layer to the previous one using back
propagation rule. The weights on the connection are modified according to the back propagated error
so that there is reduction in the error. The output of the neural network would be one of the two
values: intrusion and normal. It is seen that, huge number of training vectors leads to

An Essay On Frida Kahlo
Considered one of Mexico s greatest artists, Frida Kahlo was a self portrait artist and is still admired
as a feminist icon. She was born on July 6, 1907 in Coyoacan, Mexico City and grew up in the family
s house where was later referred as the Blue House. During her childhood, Frida had poor health
causing her to contract polio at age six and had to be in her bed all the time for nine months, this
disease caused her right foot and leg to grow much thinner than her left extremity. Kahlo began
painting after she was severely injured in a bus accident where a steel handrail impaled her through
the hip. She later became politically active and on 1929 she married fellow communist activist, Diego
Rivera. In 1938, Frida had a greater exhibition at a New York City gallery, selling about half of the
total paintings shown there. A few years later, she went to live to Paris for an amount of time, there
she exhibited some of her paintings and befriended important artists such as Marcel Duchamp and
Pablo Picasso. Her health issues began consuming her around 1950 even though she continued to
paint and support political causes despite her lack of mobility. Deeply depressed, and about a week
after her 47th birthday, Kahlo died on July 13 at her precious Blue House.

small fights with almost all of the different group members. Teddy hinders group development by
forcing the group to devote time and effort to control his behavior.
Chris remains one of the leaders, but even at times presents a problem to the group. He has a very
tough attitude and almost gets his eye burned out in the beginning trying to stand up against bigger,
tougher kids. At the end of the movie he almost gets attacked with a knife for mouthing off to the
same group of kids, but Gordie bailed him out. By standing up against difficult group members Gordie
really showed his leadership skills. Gordie seems to have a lot of personal issues with finding this
dead body because of how often he thinks about his older brother who had passed away. Gordie really
takes this trip/adventure personally mainly because of how close he feels to this dead body. Only a
few months before this trip, Gordy s older brother Denny had been killed in a car accident, and Gordy
has been ignored at home since, which we see in flashbacks. Gordy aspires to be a writer, but the only

Deborah Gilboa s Hey, Jimmy Kimmel, Find A Different Funny
Analysis Essay The general argument made by Deborah Gilboa, MD in her work Hey, Jimmy
Kimmel, Find a Different Funny is that although it may be harmless fun tricking your kids, it can also
change their behavior. More specifically, Dr. Gilboa argues that tricking your kid for a laugh can have
a negative impact on the relationship of the family. She writes, parents shock and betray their kids for
a laugh . In this passage, Dr. Gilboa is implying that telling your kids that you ate their candy or give
them a bad Christmas present is a very bad idea and it will degrade the trust between the parent and
the kid. In conclusion, Dr. Gilboa believes that parents should not lie to their kids for a cheap laugh. In
the end the doctor tried to persuade Jimmy Kimmel by explaining that children are not mentally
developed, there are negative consequences from the parent s action, and using strong word choice. ...

Racism And The American Civil War
The illusion that Racism is the same creates disturbing comments when discussing current events.
Racism is defined as someone who believes their race is the superior race. The current events with the
confederate flags has brought about conversation that these people are racist. This term is correct but
misused when discussing the context for the choice of words. Society believes these individuals are
racist because displaying the flag is assumed to display hatred. These people who proudly display the
confederate flag are racist because they believe the white race is the supreme race. There is nothing
wrong with that idea and they have that right to that opinion. Our government is built on the principle
of freedom of speech and we can t apply this natural right to a one way street.
It was that in 1860 to 1865 that the American Civil War widely known as the civil war took place, to
determine survival of the union or independence of the confederacy. Among the 34 states, seven
southern states South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas that the
secession formed the United States confederacy, mostly known as the south . The south grew upon to
include eleven states, although they claimed 13 Missouri and Kentucky that weren t diplomatically

This is also the period where significant improvement has also been marked in the relationship of

Essay Role and Function of Enobarbous
Consider the role and function of Enobarbus in Antony and Cleopatra
Enobarbus is a vital character and a key element to the success of the play. Emrys Jones view on
Enobarbus is that he is the plays strongest supporting character and structural device of great
importance to the plays dramatic effect. He is portrayed in many forms, honest, likable, high ranking
solider, he is of note trustworthy and a true friend to Antony. Enobarbus and Antony share a deep
friendship. Antony confides in Enobarbus allowing him to speak freely and honestly. When Antony
tells Enobarbus Fulvia is dead he replies with Why, sir, give the gods a thankful sacrifice showing

Enobarbus speaks the truth. Wilson Knight states Enobarbus often sees the truth whilst his superiors
blunder at cross purposes. His opinions are spoken bluntly and sometimes at inappropriate times and
sometimes caustic. He joins in with the crowd both in Rome and Egypt. He first appears in the play
with the soothsayer, enjoying the company of Cleopatra s maids showing the audience that he can fit
into both geographical parts of the play with ease and confidence. Although he is portrayed as a
professional soldier he enjoys pleasure too, Most of our fortunes be drunk to bed he is sociable and
humorous and when he sees Cleopatra coming he jokes hush here come Antony. Although he enjoys a
drink he is serious when he is needed for military duty and takes the view work before pleasure
keeping within the Roman ideas of conduct. Wilson Knight states Enobarbus is the moral centre of the
play and through him shows that loyalty and the power of love overshadows common sense and
logical reasoning .
There are four main functions of Enobarbus within the play. He is used as a chorus for example in
commenting on the reconciliation of Antony and Caesar and Antony s marriage to Octavia.
Traditionally Shakespeare would use the chorus role as more of a secondary character to give the
audience an insight into what they should expect throughout the play and create picture like images so
that the audience can appreciate the scenes.

Takaful business was established based on Takaful Act 1984 as a guideline and reference for the

Obstacles to achieve higher market penetration of takaful are because of lack of players, market

Byzantines Dbq Essay
The Byzantines have made many great accomplishments during the middle ages. Whether you re
talking about the numerous defeats they have in battles to their defenses or the impact they had on
Christianity, there s no doubt of the importance of studying the Byzantines. The purpose of this paper
is to explain why it is important to study the Byzantines.
The Byzantines had many defeats in battles against the Persians, Avars, and Muslim Arabs. The
Byzantines withstood five years of siege by the Arabs, and in doing so, saved Western civilization.
(Doc A) By winning the battles against the Arabs, they saved Constantinople from being captured by
them. Had the Arabs captured Constantinople in the seventh century, all Europe and America might be

The walls surrounding it were there to protect the city against the Goths and Huns, who had captured
Rome already. These walls were able to hold off those trying to invade for almost one thousand years.
There was one wall that bounded the city s seaward sides. The Byzantines built a moat and three
walls, each 25 feet thick, on the land side. (Doc B) Invaders were first faced with the moat that was 60
feet wide and 22 feet deep. This was normally dry but could be flooded by pipes if necessary. Behind
this was a set of three walls to get through. The first, a low wall to shield a line of archers. However, if
attackers managed to get through the first wall, they had to overcome the second wall which was 27
feet high. This sheltered even more troops. Finally if possible to get through all this they had to give
there all for the last wall. Standing at 70 feet high, this wall housed more archers and missile throwers.

A group of human miscreants succeeds to learn the secret of the Matrix. They form an underground
and live aboard a ship, loosely communicating with a halcyon city called quot;Zion quot;, the last
bastion of resistance. In one of the scenes, Cypher, one of the rebels defects. Over a glass of (illusory)
rubicund wine and (spectral) juicy steak, he poses the main dilemma of the movie. Is it better to live
happily in a perfectly detailed delusion or to survive unhappily but free of its hold?
The Matrix controls the minds of all the humans in the world. It is a bridge between them, they inter
connected through it. It makes them share the same sights, smells and textures. They remember. They
compete. They make decisions. The Matrix is sufficiently complex to allow for this apparent lack of
determinism and ubiquity of free will. The root question is: is there any difference between making
decisions and feeling certain of making them (not having made them)? If one is unaware of the
existence of the Matrix, the answer is no. From the inside, as a part of the Matrix, making decisions
and appearing to be making them are identical states. Only an outside observer one who in possession
of full information regarding both the Matrix and the humans can tell the difference.
Moreover, if the Matrix were a computer program of infinite complexity, no observer (finite or
infinite) would have been able to say with any certainty whose

The Tradition Of Wisdom And Immortality And How God...
Wisdom literature is unlike previous wisdom writings in Israel by its thematic approach and emphasis
on salvation history and immortality and how God rewards the sufferings of the just. Through these
narratives light is thrown on the struggles of Judaism in the Greek and Roman eras, upholding values
and the fight against pagan ideas; monotheism versus polytheism (Boadt:1984)
There are many examples of Wisdom literature found in the Old Testament including I Kings 20:11;
Jeremiah 23:28; 31:29. Historians believe the transition from oral sayings to literary wisdom took
place in Egypt at approximately 2500 BC and in Sumer shortly afterward. Throughout the Near East, a
class of scribes or wise men arose who were highly honoured for creating and/or collecting and
refining wise sayings (Ecclesiastes 12:9). This was usually done under the patronage of the court or
the temple leaders. The sources of these sayings may originally have been from tribal wisdom,
instruction in schools or wise sayings circulated among the nobility. Two of Israel s kings are credited
with vitally important contributions in this area: Solomon (I Kings 4:29 34) and Hezekiah (Proverbs
25:1). By the 7th century BC the wise man had gained sufficient prominence in Judah to attain a class
distinction equal to prophet or priest (Jeremiah 8:8 9; 18:18).
The book of Psalms ( praises ) is wisdom literature in hymn form. The Psalms are 150 sacred songs,
composed for the greater part by David or during his reign,

ABSTRACT
Structural defects are inevitable in graphene due to its production techniques as well as chemical and
heat treatment processes. These defects in graphene are introduced either during the production
process or deliberately by us to tailor its properties. In this article, the effect of nearest neighbour
distance and angular orientation between Stone Thrower Wales defects (STW 2) on the mechanical
properties and failure morphology of graphene was investigated in the frame of molecular dynamics.
Mechanical properties and failure morphology of graphene was predicted to be the function of angular
orientation between STW 2 defects, when the nearest neighbour distance was in the range of 10 Å.
Graphene sheet containing pair of STW 2 defects had shown an overall increase of 8% and 11% in
fracture strength and strain respectively as compared to graphene with single STW 2 defect. This
study also characterised the failure morphology of graphene sheet with single and pair of STW 2
defects in the armchair direction.

Analysis of the Poem The Weary Blues
Poem Analysis The Weary Blues This speaker gives a detailed description of listening to a blues
musician in Harlem. This poem has a mournful tone and tempo of blues due to its diction, repetitive
lines and inclusion of blues lyrics thus, giving the reader an appreciation of the state of mind of the
blues musician in the poem. In the poem, the poet incorporates several literary devices to assist in
upholding the theme and tone of the poem. The main theme in this poem is the importance of music in
human s daily lives; music is used to guide mixed emotions, express joy and happiness, describe
personal issues or as a means to release anger and frustration. Langston in his poem gives
consideration to the elements of blues music in the entire poem. Words associated with music, melody
and tune are used to describe the night, the blues and the piano player. The sound of the music is
described as a mellow croon as the piano player sings the tune o those weary blues. The raggy tune
and melancholy tone portray music that is sad, sobering, and grim. The colloquial language used in the
poem captures the readers attention while the diction used emphasizes the musician s societal
disposition while highlighting his frustrations; Ain t got nobody but ma self. I s gwine quit my frownin

The Course of Political Development in Uganda and its Effect on Economic Development
Development has recently become a new buzz word in international relations. Through an exploration
of political, social and economic development around the globe, scholars are trying to understand
which policies are most beneficial, and why certain policies are effective and why some fail. The
connection between different types of development is often an important part of this research as well.
The connection between political and economic development is of specific interest since the end of the
Cold War and the failure of most communist based systems. The emergence of capitalism as the

Political and economic development in Uganda based on these terms provides a strong case for the
relationship between the two. The lack of political development in Uganda since independence from
Britain in 1962 has hindered economic development and it was not until recent political stability that
Uganda has been able to experience any sort of economic development.
To understand the political development in Uganda, it is important to start shortly before 1962 to
examine the political atmosphere of independence. Under the colonial system, Uganda was a
protectorate, meaning that land rights of Africans were respected, despite the commonplace of forced
labor and high taxes. In 1961 Uganda was granted self rule before gaining full independence in 1962.
With the granting of self rule, three major political parties formed, the Uganda People s Congress
(UPC), the Democratic Party (DP) and the Kabaka Yekka (KY). The main platform of the UPC was
nationalist and the party strived to unite all Ugandans despite ethnic differences. The KY was mainly
an ethnic party consisting of the Baganda people who were the most favored under British rule. An
alliance between the UPC and KY gave them more collective strength than the DP and increased the
political power of Milton Obote.
At independence in 1962, Obote, of the UPC, was appointed Prime

Medication Therapy Management ( Mtm )
Medication therapy management (MTM) is a medical care mainly provided by pharmacists whose aim
is to optimize drug therapy and improve therapeutic outcomes for patients. Based on the above
definition of MTM, it is very important to offer MTM services to patients as it has at its core the aim
of improving therapeutic outcomes for patients through the effective management of their drug
therapy. It is important for pharmacist to be at the forefront of leading these efforts with regards to
providing MTM because this is a service that is designed to help patients manage their medication. It
is also important for pharmacist to embrace this call for the provision of MTM services as its benefits
both short term and long term includes job security and opportunity, relevance in the healthcare
system, revenue source, improving patients outcomes, and a chance to justify the call for pharmacists
as providers.
Firstly, pharmacists are best trained to offer medication therapy management based on our training and
the scope of services provided in an MTM session. Since the change from the traditional Bachelors
degree to PharmD as the entry level degree for new pharmacists, pharmacists are now extensively
trained in therapeutics as well as how to clinically manage medications, and evaluate patient
outcomes. Most colleges of pharmacy now graduate pharmacist who are certified to provide MTM
services. Nurses are willing to offer this services if we decline, we will be doing a great disservice

Essay The Theme of Blindness in King Lear
The Theme of Blindness in King Lear
In the tragedy King Lear, the term blindness has an entirely different meaning. It is not a physical
flaw, but the inability of the characters to see a person for whom they truly are. They can only read
what is presented to them on the surface. King Lear, Gloucester and Albany are three prime examples
characters who suffered most by having this flaw.
Lear was by far the blindest of the three. Because Lear was the King, one would expect him to have
superb reasoning skills, but his lack of insight kept him from making wise choices. This is the flaw
that led to his downfall.
Lear s first big mistake was letting himself be fooled by Regan and Goneril, and giving them his

Regan would not provide him with shelter during a furious storm, Lear realized that they were the

beginning of the play, he realized that she loved him too much to put into words.
When Lear and Cordelia finally reunited near the end of the play, Lear expressed his sorrow for what
he had done. You must bear with me, I pray you now, forget and forgive:/ I am old an foolish. ( 4, 7.
82 ) But it was too late, Lear s rashness and inability to see clearly had already cost him, and Cordelia
their lives.
Lear was not the only character to suffer from blindness, Gloucester too, had lack of insight. He could
not see the goodness of his son Edgar, and the wickedness of Edmund. A forged letter was the only
evidence needed to convince Gloucester that Edgar was plotting to kill him. Immediately after reading
the letter Gloucester screams in a rage;

Worse than brutish! Go, sirrah, seek him; I ll/ apprehend him. Abominable villain! Where is he? (1, 2.

He did not even stop to consider if Edgar were capable of doing such a thing.

how the material devalues women.
The movie starts out in 1952 with a young Larry Flynt along with his younger brother peddling

Unsure of my opinion on the correlation of pornography and rape, I considered two articles: (1)
Egalitarian, sexist, and aggressive sexual materials: attitude effects and viewer responses; and (2) Men
s enjoyment of explicit erotica: effects of person specific attitudes and gender specific norms. In the
first article, research on sexual attitudes was conducted among a sample of college students in
Syracuse University. Hypothesis one was that both sexist and sexually aggressive scenes would
increase acceptance of sexist attitudes; Hypthothesis two was that only sexually aggressive scenes
would increase acceptance of rape myths and sexual coercion (Bauserman, 1988). Study one was
conducted to identify the ways in which the sample described what sexism and sexual aggression
meant to the sample. The second study examined change in attitude. Hypothesis one was weakly

Why Is Disney World A Dream Come True
Disney World is known as the place Where Dreams Come True because of the princesses and fantasy
characters created by Walt Disney. Disney World is really a fun, amazing place to visit and is truly a
magical place. Disney World Resort was first envisioned by Walt Disney in the early 1960 s. Walt
wanted to make a place that would give people a chance to experience unique entertainment. This
place was called Disneyland and was located in California. Almost three years later, the Disney
planning team decided to make Disney World in Orlando,Florida because of the year round summers
and it was ranked first in tourist attraction. Construction started in April 1969 and planned to finish on
October 1, 1971. Nine thousand workers worked on Disney World for the two years it was in
construction. Finally on the special day Disney World was opened with around 10,000 people there to
celebrate. Today Disney World consists of four different kingdoms and lives up to its expectations of
making dreams come true. Transportation between kingdoms and to Disney World is very efficient.
Buses, trams, ferries, and a monorail are provided for people. You also don t have to wait very long for
transportation at the stations. A downside to transportation is, since Disney World has people from all
over the world, it can be very crowded in the stations. For example, in the monorail there are limited

Moreover, Boone uses different things with the players to get the players to get along. He makes the

of Gettysburg. These things make the team come together and look at each other like a team and not

Second, Gerry Bertier is the white player that seems to be the leader of the white players. Julius
Campbell is a black player that seems to be the leader of the black players. At first the two teenagers
do not get along because of race, favoritism, and need to protect their culture. Coach Boone having the

Disease Research Report

CHOLERA
Disease Defined Cholera is an infection of the small intestine that causes a large amount of watery
diarrhea. Cholera is a bacterial disease (caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae) usually spread
through contaminated water. The bacteria, which are found in fecal contaminated food and water and
in raw or undercooked seafood, produce a toxin that affects the intestines causing diarrhea, vomiting,
and severe fluid and electrolyte loss. This overwhelming dehydration is the outstanding characteristic
of the disease and is the main cause of death. Cholera has a short incubation period (two or three days)
and runs a quick course. In untreated cases the death rate is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In this setting, the disease occurs primarily in young children, who are exposed to the organism for the
first time, and in the elderly, who have lower gastric acid production and waning immunity. The poor
are at greatest risk because they often lack safe water supplies, are unable to maintain proper hygiene
within the home, and may depend on street vendors or other unregulated sources for food and drink.
Recent epidemiologic research suggests that an individual s susceptibility to cholera (and other
diarrheal infections) is affected by their blood type: those with type O blood are the most susceptible,
while those with type AB are the most resistant. Between these two extremes are the A and B blood
types, with type A being more resistant than type B.
Signs and Symptoms * Dry mucus membranes or mouth * Dry skin * Excessive thirst * Glassy or
sunken eyes * Lack of tears * Lethargy * Low urine output * Nausea * Rapid dehydration *
Abdominal cramps * Watery diarrhea * Rapid pulse * Vomiting
The usual incubation period is 2 to 5 days, although it can be as short as several hours. Severe cholera
is characterized by a sudden onset of profuse, watery diarrhea accompanied by nausea and vomiting.
If left untreated, this can rapidly lead to serious dehydration, electrolyte imbalance and circulatory
collapse. Over 50% of the most severe cases die within a few hours; with prompt, effective treatment,

out. An exploding volcano can rip apart a mountain in just seconds, when the eruption is over, a
landscape is changed forever. The united states is home to more volcanos than any other country
except Indonesia, and Japan. The majority of these volcanoes are in Alaska. Until recently, there was
no way to predict when a volcano would blow, although volcanoes give off many warning signs
before they erupt. Including smaller earthquakes beneath the volcano, slight inflation, or swelling. The
rising magma eventually causes the solid rock to break, sending earthquake signals. Most volcanoes
give warning signs beginning weeks or months before they blow (Lindop). Lumps of Lava cool into
solid rocks as they fly through the sky, forming rounded chunks that can be also known as bombs,
while pieces with corners and sharp edges are named blocks. Both bombs and blocks can cause a great
deal of damage. As the volcano begins to burst, the sky fills with choking, smoky powder, while it
starts raining lava, and rock. The air warmed quicker than when you pour kerosene on a fire, with a
sound so loud it circled the earth four times, red hot lava flows down the side of the volcano and
magma spews out the top. The only taste in my mouth is the smoke coming from the lava, as the gas
in the air turned all my silver jewelry black. I feel very frightened knowing this is such a normal thing

The Bell Curve Research Paper
The idea many people often perceive about intelligence today is how smart you are and what you re
capable of remembering off the top of your head. It can be looked at as a black and white topic: your
smart or you re not. But intelligence is much more than this, and there are many forms of intelligence.
What a person is intelligent in often leads them into an occupation they are able to be skilled at. The
fight between intelligence stemming from genetics or the environment is still present today. Of the
different types, interpersonal intelligence is in other words, being people smart. Mental health
professionals and agents with the FBI such as hostage negotiators all have a high rate of interpersonal
intelligence, and they use this skill everyday ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Herrnstein and Charles Murray, evidence shows that intelligence is to a significant extent inherited.
Since 1994 when the book was published, there has been more research on the topic of where it comes
from. The battle still exists between stemming from our surrounding environment or being in the
genes. Sue Ramsden at University College London did an IQ study with some of her colleagues on 33
adolescents. She did the study 3 4 years later and found the adolescents test scores increased, some
dramatically. This evidence shows that intelligence can change throughout one s life. Upbringing
plays a role in an individual being able to explore their own mind and intelligence. If a child is raised
without encouragement and direction, they may have a negative view and a harder time wanting to
explore knowledge. Reading to child when they re young, traveling to other cities/states, and
communication all are factors in opening the mind of children at a young age that can carry on into
adulthood. But here s where the controversy comes in. Some children and adolescents who did not
have a good upbringing, had a rocky childhood and un directive parents still have turned out to be
straight A students and have a high, and growing, intelligence in one or more areas. Everyone has
different abilities and finding what that is can look easy to some people whereas some may have a

Raphael s Last Supper
Art is a beauty that can capture the essence of something, but also can be interpreted differently
depending on an individual s perspective. Art can be expressive, but it takes an artist to create their
own definition of beauty while the audience interprets it. By using the year that Raphael s School of
Athens was created as a mark for artwork that was created before and after that time frame, I have
chosen the Last Supper as a piece that was created before and the Mona Lisa as a piece that was
created after. Each individual piece of art expresses a different idea and belief, sometimes with a
common or sometimes without a common broader significance.

This is an oil painting that was also created by Leonardo da Vinci, however, it is determined that is
was created between the year 1503 1506, but was continued and was entirely finished by 1517. For
certain, it has been painted during 1503 1506, but an art historian, Martin Kemp, said there was an
uncertainty with confirming the actual date of when Leonardo s piece was actually completed. Giorgio
Vasari, Leonardo s contemporary, had mentioned how it has been apiece left unfinished and was
regretted that it was never been completed in one sitting. As King Francois I invited Leonardo to work
near the king s castle, it is believed that during that time, he continued to work on this Mona Lisa
piece until 1516 or 1517. Mona Lisa is an oil painting on a poplar wood panel and it is believed that
the subject of the portrait is possibly Lisa Ghenardini the wife of Francesco del Giocondo. The
painting illustrates a woman in a half body portrait, with a distant landscape backdrop. In the painting,
it is noted that the sitter s general position is vertical, with her arms folded as a sign of a reserved
posture, with a gaze only towards to her observer, with a warm, silent, look of communication. Her
face appears to be brightly lit, whereas her hair, veil, and shadows were slightly darker. With Leonardo
s soft blending; it had created two main, well known features. This portrait is well known for the sitter
s faint smile, which is believed to reflect Leonardo s idea and vision of connecting humanity and
nature. Aside from that, it is also believed that the smile is an indication of a hidden secret. Due to the
expression of the subject in the portrait, it is a continuing fascination and is a great influence to many
other paintings. Additionally, the Mona Lisa is one of his most well known portraits due to the
mysterious subject and the features within the painting

  • 2. Boston Celtics Case Analysis The Boston Celtics earned a successful 2018 season despite tragic injuries and a game 7 Eastern Conference Finals loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Boston s current contract situation should provide more success in the future. Two superstars, veterans, and young talent make them one of the most concrete organizations in the league, not to mention their foundation is laid for a few more years. The Celtics player contracts are led by Gordan Hayward, who signed a 4 year max contract in the 2017 offseason. He suffered a tragic left ankle fracture in the season opener debut with the Celtics, forcing him to miss the 2017 2018 season. This was an unavoidable financial downfall, but with more years on the contract they still have opportunities with Hayward in the future. Breakout talent Terry Rozier will be going into free agency in the 2018 2019 off season, potentially leaving the Celtics if they cannot pay the expected high dollar amount to sign Rozier again. Gritty and forceful Aron Baynes is also expected to explore free agency in the 2018 off season which could leave the team without the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Boston s ability to draft and trade in the past decade has been top tier in the NBA, getting young talents with star power signed onto rookie contracts. This is perfectly showcased in their 2017 1st round draft pick of Jayson Tatum who averaged star numbers in their 2018 playoff run. Physical and defensive role players such as Marcus Morris and Marcus Smart are each earning a fraction of what they might earn in the following seasons, each showing potential beyond what they had prior to entering the Celtics organization. The Celtic s ability to limit high value contracts to their three stars (Irving, Hayward, Horford) and underpay their rising stars has allowed them to sit well financially and ... He volunteered for me at the UC Davis Clinic Pharmacy last summer and winter break and I find him to be an intelligent, dedicated, and hardworking young man. He was always on time and ready to work. Although he had no prior experience in the pharmacy field, he was eager to learn and help in any capacity and utilized each task as a learning experience for him. For example, he turned the most mundane task of filing prescription to learn drugs brand and generic names. He helped me with pulling and returning expired drugs and cashiering. Erick caught on quickly and was constantly willing to help. During his time her, I observed his interactions with staffs and patients and discovered his sunny disposition also made him a pleasant ... • 5. Becoming An Ally By White Americans Becoming an Ally When white Americans choose to self educate about systemic racism they can become allies in the fight to dismantle racist structures in our society. Systemic racism is a theory that takes a look at how individual, structural, and institutional forms of racism intersect, overlap, and create a deep rooted form of prejudice and discrimination that advantages a cultural group at the expense of others in all institutions of a society economics, political representation, the criminal justice system, employment, and many others. (Luther College 2015). This includes discrimination affecting credit, schooling, justice, residential location, etc. It can be eradicated in the next century, but not without white people acknowledging that it is a real issue that cost lives. It is not the duty of the oppressed to make a liberty sales pitch to their oppressors. However, it is the responsibility of those benefiting from the oppression of others to become educated, listen, and use their privilege to combat injustice. Asian, Latino, Black, and First Nations people respectively do not experience white supremacy in the same ways. Throughout this essay I will focus on the systemic racism targeted at Black people, using the term People of Color , coined by Black Feminists in the 1970s, abbreviated to PoC, to refer to them. The first step to becoming an ally to People of Color is to become educated about the issue to understand that racism did not disappear with the Civil ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Music And Its Impact On Music Since the early days of human existence, sweet sounds of music have brought joy to the human race. However, throughout time, music seems to have taken a bit of a detour as progress is concerned. Music gradually became more complex and advanced as the centuries progressed. On the other hand, recently, music seems to have deviated from its steady ascension toward the next, more advanced stage. Has there been a recession in the complexity and overall magic of music? Personally, I believe that there is a lot of truth to this concept of relapse . Over the course of musical expression, inventions of different instruments and music theory concepts were created and used to benefit the science and progression of music through time. Throughout each period of music that we studied, the music changed based on the culture and the technology that was prevalent within its respective time period. Music found in the baroque period, for instance, is very complex and involves the use of several different musical voices. When we look at a lot of the mainstream music of modern day, it is very easy to realize that we have definitely taken a step backwards. Nowadays, the popular musical artworks that are being released lack complexity or any kind of variation at all. Modern pop music has really hit a stand still. One of the most characteristic aspects of a modern pop song is the repetition that is used throughout most songs. Honestly, anyone who has a decent ear for music ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They all felt that you continue to live in the afterlife with all their possessions. Women, men, animals, and children were buried along with the tombs of the leaders. Sacrifices were made as well to certain animals and prisoners as part of the burial rituals. Americans don t believe in the afterlife, When you are dead that is it you are gone never to return. Rituals are not provided for American leaders like they were for the three cultures from the readings. For American leader when they die we would have a special funeral arrangements done like a flag ceremony with guns being fired. No sacrifices are made and other people are not buried with them. The amount of time the three cultures would use to prepare for the burial of their leader was less than that in the American culture. For an American funeral it can take less than a week for everything to be done. Being that the other cultures believed in an afterlife and wanted their leader to enter it properly. They took their time with the preparations and this showed the respect and how much they honored the person. It also showed how important the person was, someone of their status have to be buried with their company and treasures. Whereas Americans only have a wake and then a funeral to follow. This doesn t mean that the Americans don t respect nor care for their leader. There is no need to bury a person with all of those items, no need for it. There is no afterlife in the American culture so there is no need for the sacrifices along with the rituals that other cultures do when it comes to burring someone. • 11. A Review Public And Private Waste Management Azam, A. S., Mansoor, A. (2004). Partnerships for solid waste management in developing countries: linking theories to realities. Habitat International, 28, 467 479. In this article, Azam and Mansoor review public and private waste management sectors, and the possibilities for partnership. By conducting a literature review, they conclude that the current isolated arrangement in the industry should be replaced with a vertical integration between small scale agencies and the public sector. The main limitation of the article is that it focuses developing countries as a whole, thus the suggestion may not be applied in particular city due to the complexity of social and political structure. This article is relevant to PLAN 440/674 because it discusses waste management in developing countries. Elliott, P., Briggs, D., Morris, S., Hoogh, C. d., Hurt, C., Jensen, T. K., et al. (2001). The article inspects the risk of adverse birth outcomes associated with populations that reside near a landfill in Great Britain. The authors analyze health data of the populations with 2km of a landfill site. By simply interpreting the definition, middle powers are sovereign states that are not super powers or great powers in the field of international relations, but still have moderate or significant influence than small powers and have international recognition by other states. After the Second World War, global society became starting to be aware of the fact that there was a need for middle powers, not so directly engaged in global economics and politics, to act as intermediary in global governance. With rapid globalization process among various sectors and many states, the global society has become more interconnected and interdependent ever in terms of facing global problems as wells as regional ones. Also with the current international relations, sovereign states as middle powers, they reflect the tendency to compromise, coordinate, and cooperate in order to maintain their national interests, status quo Jeffrey Robertson, South Korea as a Middle Power: capacity, Behavior, and Now Opportunity, KINU, vol. 16, No. 1 (2007):. 151 174. . Although, the good quality content makes online social media a rich source of information, consumption of poor quality content can degrade user experience, and have inappropriate impact in the real world. In addition, the enormous popularity, promptness, and reach of online social media services across the world makes it essential to monitor this activity, and minimize the production and spread of poor quality content. Multiple studies in the past have analysed the content spread on social networks during real world events. However, little work has explored the Facebook social network. Two of the main reasons for the lack of studies on Facebook are the strict privacy settings, and limited amount of data available from Facebook, as compared to Twitter. With over 1 billion monthly active users, Facebook is about times bigger than its next biggest counterpart Twitter, and is currently, the largest online social network in the world. • 15. National Honor Society Greatest Achievements Getting accepted into the National Honor Society is my proudest achievements to date, and even though it is not the most outstanding achievement, it was important to me because it transcended academics. To understand why I m so proud of this achievement, you must first understand the enigmatic segregation that plagues my school. I attend Gaithersburg High School in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The city of Gaithersburg is known as the most diverse city in the U.S and this diversity is well represented at my school. Unfortunately, the diversity in my school is undermined by segregation between the minority (excluding the Asian students) and the White students (including the Asian students). This brings me back to my proudest achievement, being accepted into the National Honor Society. The National Honor Society at my school is competitive because many students seek admission. It is looked as one of those clubs that colleges love on your application; therefore teachers are very selective when it comes to accepting students. Students must have at least a 3.5 GPA, 80 community service hours, leadership roles, and 2 teacher recommendations to even be considered. Being accepted into the National Honor Society served as a slap in the face to the absurd stereotypes that my peers possess. • 16. Neural Network Based Intrusion Detection Systems 3. Neural Networks This technique follows the same notion of how human brain works. It consists of collection of highly interconnected processing elements that convert a set of given inputs to a set of desired outputs. The widely used neural network for intrusion detection is Multilayer Perceptions (MLP).Neural Network based intrusion detection systems are intended to classify the normal and intrusion patterns and the type of the attack. For this purpose, the network is trained on various types of attacks and normal data. One input node is present for each element of the feature vector, and one output node for each class, to which a feature may be assigned, as shown in fig.4. The nodes in the hidden layer are connected to the input nodes and the connection has some initial weight assigned to it. These weights can be modified during the training process. Fig.4 : Neural Network Back propagation rule is the learning algorithm used for MLP which is a gradient descent method and is based on an error function. Error function represents the difference between network s calculated output and desired output. The error is back propagated from one layer to the previous one using back propagation rule. The weights on the connection are modified according to the back propagated error so that there is reduction in the error. The output of the neural network would be one of the two values: intrusion and normal. It is seen that, huge number of training vectors leads to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 17. An Essay On Frida Kahlo Considered one of Mexico s greatest artists, Frida Kahlo was a self portrait artist and is still admired as a feminist icon. She was born on July 6, 1907 in Coyoacan, Mexico City and grew up in the family s house where was later referred as the Blue House. During her childhood, Frida had poor health causing her to contract polio at age six and had to be in her bed all the time for nine months, this disease caused her right foot and leg to grow much thinner than her left extremity. Kahlo began painting after she was severely injured in a bus accident where a steel handrail impaled her through the hip. She later became politically active and on 1929 she married fellow communist activist, Diego Rivera. In 1938, Frida had a greater exhibition at a New York City gallery, selling about half of the total paintings shown there. A few years later, she went to live to Paris for an amount of time, there she exhibited some of her paintings and befriended important artists such as Marcel Duchamp and Pablo Picasso. Her health issues began consuming her around 1950 even though she continued to paint and support political causes despite her lack of mobility. • 27. The Tradition Of Wisdom And Immortality And How God... Wisdom literature is unlike previous wisdom writings in Israel by its thematic approach and emphasis on salvation history and immortality and how God rewards the sufferings of the just. Through these narratives light is thrown on the struggles of Judaism in the Greek and Roman eras, upholding values and the fight against pagan ideas; monotheism versus polytheism (Boadt:1984) There are many examples of Wisdom literature found in the Old Testament including I Kings 20:11; Jeremiah 23:28; 31:29. Historians believe the transition from oral sayings to literary wisdom took place in Egypt at approximately 2500 BC and in Sumer shortly afterward. Throughout the Near East, a class of scribes or wise men arose who were highly honoured for creating and/or collecting and refining wise sayings (Ecclesiastes 12:9). This was usually done under the patronage of the court or the temple leaders. The sources of these sayings may originally have been from tribal wisdom, instruction in schools or wise sayings circulated among the nobility. Two of Israel s kings are credited with vitally important contributions in this area: Solomon (I Kings 4:29 34) and Hezekiah (Proverbs 25:1). By the 7th century BC the wise man had gained sufficient prominence in Judah to attain a class distinction equal to prophet or priest (Jeremiah 8:8 9; 18:18). The lack of political development in Uganda since independence from Britain in 1962 has hindered economic development and it was not until recent political stability that Uganda has been able to experience any sort of economic development. To understand the political development in Uganda, it is important to start shortly before 1962 to examine the political atmosphere of independence. Under the colonial system, Uganda was a protectorate, meaning that land rights of Africans were respected, despite the commonplace of forced labor and high taxes. In 1961 Uganda was granted self rule before gaining full independence in 1962. With the granting of self rule, three major political parties formed, the Uganda People s Congress (UPC), the Democratic Party (DP) and the Kabaka Yekka (KY). The main platform of the UPC was nationalist and the party strived to unite all Ugandans despite ethnic differences. The KY was mainly an ethnic party consisting of the Baganda people who were the most favored under British rule. King Lear, Gloucester and Albany are three prime examples characters who suffered most by having this flaw. Lear was by far the blindest of the three. When Goneril and Regan would not provide him with shelter during a furious storm, Lear realized that they were the daughters who did not love him. He also began to understand the words of Cordelia from the beginning of the play, he realized that she loved him too much to put into words. When Lear and Cordelia finally reunited near the end of the play, Lear expressed his sorrow for what he had done. You must bear with me, I pray you now, forget and forgive:/ I am old an foolish. ( 4, 7. 82 ) But it was too late, Lear s rashness and inability to see clearly had already cost him, and Cordelia their lives. Lear was not the only character to suffer from blindness, Gloucester too, had lack of insight. He could not see the goodness of his son Edgar, and the wickedness of Edmund. A forged letter was the only evidence needed to convince Gloucester that Edgar was plotting to kill him. Immediately after reading the letter Gloucester screams in a rage; O villain, villain! Larry Flynt is the president and publisher of Hustler magazine. Hustler is sort of the Mad magazine of written pornography which was started in the early 1970 s. The interest for me was seeing how this movie depicts the sexual exploitation of women in the sex industry with a specific look at how the material devalues women. The movie starts out in 1952 with a young Larry Flynt along with his younger brother peddling moonshine somewhere in Kentucky. Twenty years later they own a strip club in Cincinnati, Ohio called Hustler. Larry says, If we could let people know what great lays these girls are, we d have something. His ... They only reach a consensus in regards to strengthening their 1st Amendment Right by protesting against pornography or supporting it. Unsure of my opinion on the correlation of pornography and rape, I considered two articles: (1) Egalitarian, sexist, and aggressive sexual materials: attitude effects and viewer responses; and (2) Men s enjoyment of explicit erotica: effects of person specific attitudes and gender specific norms. In the first article, research on sexual attitudes was conducted among a sample of college students in Syracuse University. Hypothesis one was that both sexist and sexually aggressive scenes would increase acceptance of sexist attitudes; Hypthothesis two was that only sexually aggressive scenes would increase acceptance of rape myths and sexual coercion (Bauserman, 1988). Study one was conducted to identify the ways in which the sample described what sexism and sexual aggression meant to the sample. The second study examined change in attitude. Disney World is really a fun, amazing place to visit and is truly a magical place. Disney World Resort was first envisioned by Walt Disney in the early 1960 s. Walt wanted to make a place that would give people a chance to experience unique entertainment. This place was called Disneyland and was located in California. Almost three years later, the Disney planning team decided to make Disney World in Orlando,Florida because of the year round summers and it was ranked first in tourist attraction. Construction started in April 1969 and planned to finish on October 1, 1971. Nine thousand workers worked on Disney World for the two years it was in construction. Finally on the special day Disney World was opened with around 10,000 people there to celebrate. Today Disney World consists of four different kingdoms and lives up to its expectations of making dreams come true. Transportation between kingdoms and to Disney World is very efficient. Buses, trams, ferries, and a monorail are provided for people. You also don t have to wait very long for transportation at the stations. A downside to transportation is, since Disney World has people from all over the world, it can be very crowded in the stations. For example, in the monorail there are limited seats and you are most likely going to have to stand. One drawback of this magical adventure is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These things make the team come together and look at each other like a team and not color. This also make Boone and Yoast have respect for each other and become friends in the end. Cholera is a bacterial disease (caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae) usually spread through contaminated water. The bacteria, which are found in fecal contaminated food and water and in raw or undercooked seafood, produce a toxin that affects the intestines causing diarrhea, vomiting, and severe fluid and electrolyte loss. This overwhelming dehydration is the outstanding characteristic of the disease and is the main cause of death. Cholera has a short incubation period (two or three days) and runs a quick course. In untreated cases the death rate is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this setting, the disease occurs primarily in young children, who are exposed to the organism for the first time, and in the elderly, who have lower gastric acid production and waning immunity. The poor are at greatest risk because they often lack safe water supplies, are unable to maintain proper hygiene within the home, and may depend on street vendors or other unregulated sources for food and drink. Recent epidemiologic research suggests that an individual s susceptibility to cholera (and other diarrheal infections) is affected by their blood type: those with type O blood are the most susceptible, while those with type AB are the most resistant. Between these two extremes are the A and B blood types, with type A being more resistant than type B. • 41. Descriptive Essay Volcano Allie Koza Professor Baer English 17 October 2017 Descriptive Essay The word volcano comes from the little island of vulcano in the Mediterranean Sea, these fire fountains can reach hundreds of feet into the sky (Lindop). Early Romans believed this mountain belonged to vulcan, the blacksmith of the gods. Within the last twenty years, a volcanologists have been working hard to learn how to predict eruptions and keep people safe. Ash plumes and steam rose into the bright blue sky as the underground earthquake shook the land and rattled windows all across the eighteen mile town. As the jet circled the island, in view of lovely beaches and emerald water, looming over this lush paradise was the screaming volcano. Volcanos erupt when the pressure inside of them becomes so great that the magma surges up and forces its way out. An exploding volcano can rip apart a mountain in just seconds, when the eruption is over, a landscape is changed forever. The united states is home to more volcanos than any other country except Indonesia, and Japan. The majority of these volcanoes are in Alaska. Until recently, there was no way to predict when a volcano would blow, although volcanoes give off many warning signs before they erupt. Including smaller earthquakes beneath the volcano, slight inflation, or swelling. The rising magma eventually causes the solid rock to break, sending earthquake signals. Most volcanoes give warning signs beginning weeks or months before they blow (Lindop). Lumps of Lava cool into solid rocks as they fly through the sky, forming rounded chunks that can be also known as bombs, while pieces with corners and sharp edges are named blocks. Both bombs and blocks can cause a great deal of damage. As the volcano begins to burst, the sky fills with choking, smoky powder, while it starts raining lava, and rock. The air warmed quicker than when you pour kerosene on a fire, with a sound so loud it circled the earth four times, red hot lava flows down the side of the volcano and magma spews out the top. The only taste in my mouth is the smoke coming from the lava, as the gas in the air turned all my silver jewelry black. What a person is intelligent in often leads them into an occupation they are able to be skilled at. The fight between intelligence stemming from genetics or the environment is still present today.
