4. How to make a clinometer?
We need: protractor (or a piece of cardboard that has marked
angles on it), a piece of rope and some kind of weight (a nut or
something similar). We can also add some kind of visor.
We tie the nut to one end of the rope and tie it to the protractor
with the other end.
6. Task
We gave ourselves a task to calculate
the height of our students’ dormitory
using our clinometer.
We picked 2 spots that have 2.5
meters of distance between them.
From those 2 spots, we used the
clinometer to get the angle of the
incline.
The first angle is 40 degrees, and the
other one is 50.
