Classroom Observation Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Classroom Observation" can prove to be both challenging
and rewarding. The difficulty arises from the multifaceted nature of the task, requiring a delicate
balance between objective observation and thoughtful analysis.
Firstly, the observational aspect demands keen attention to detail. The writer must immerse
themselves in the classroom environment, noting interactions between students and teachers,
teaching methodologies employed, and the overall atmosphere. Capturing these nuances requires
sharp observational skills, as missing key moments could lead to an incomplete analysis.
Furthermore, the essay should delve into the pedagogical strategies employed by the educator.
Understanding the rationale behind teaching methods and their impact on student engagement
and comprehension is crucial. This involves not only observing the class but also conducting
research on various teaching styles and educational theories.
The analysis itself adds another layer of complexity. Balancing objectivity with insightful
commentary is a delicate task. It requires the writer to critically assess the observed classroom
dynamics, drawing connections between theoretical frameworks and real-world practices. This
intellectual synthesis demands a solid understanding of educational concepts and effective
communication skills.
Additionally, the essay should be structured coherently, presenting observations and analyses in a
logical sequence. Transitioning seamlessly between descriptive accounts and analytical insights is
vital for a well-rounded and compelling essay.
In conclusion, writing a "Classroom Observation Essay" is a task that necessitates a blend of
observational prowess, research acumen, and analytical thinking. It challenges the writer to
explore the intricacies of the learning environment, decipher teaching methodologies, and
construct a cohesive narrative. While demanding, successfully navigating these challenges can
result in a nuanced and insightful piece.

Ice Fili (АЙС θРЛР) You cannot defeat a nation that enjoys ice cream at
minus 40 Celsius. Winston Churchill To survive in Russia s ice cream industry
during the 11 years since the collapse of the former Soviet Union was no small feat
(see Exhibits 1 and 2). To be successful in these turbulent times was nothing short of
amazing to industry observers. In 2002, Ice Fili, a midsized Russian company with
more than $25 million in sales, was Russia s top ice cream producer. Surprisingly, it
had outlasted several well known international companies such as Ben Jerry s, which
exited the Russian market in 1997, and Unilever, which left in 2001. Ice Fili had not

and Europe (reminiscent of whipped cream). Also, traditional Russian ice cream
was made with all natural ingredients and did not contain preservatives. It was
believed that Russian consumers were generally more concerned about
preservatives in food than fat levels. According to an industry trade association
representative, Millions of foreigners, after arriving in Moscow and tasting our ice
cream, have proclaimed Russian ice cream to be the best in the world. 7 In the
selling of ice cream, many products competed for the consumer dollar, including
beer (Baltica and dozens of other domestic brands), soda (primarily Pepsi and
Coke), yogurts, chocolate (Mars, NestlГ©, and numerous domestic players such as
Red October), and other confectionary candies. The producers of these products
often spent considerably more on advertising than ice cream producers.8 In 2001,
ice cream producers spent less than $5 million on advertising in Russia (1% of
sales), while the $4.5 billion Russian beer market spent approximately $90 million
(2% of sales) and the soft drink industry spent almost $200 million (7% of sales) on
advertising.9 The beer, soft drink, and confectionary industries enjoyed increasing
market demand rather than the depressed trend found in the Russian ice cream
industry. In 2000, the production of ice cream was down 3.5% from the year before; in
The Medical And Healthcare Records
The medical or healthcare record has multiple purposes. First, it is repository of
documentation of the actions taken in patient management, the documentation of a
patient s progress, and therefore a mean s to augment one s memory and knowledge
as well as to provide meaningful medical information to other practitioners should the
patient transfer to a new provider or should the original provider be unavailable for
some reason. The health electronic health recordsystem that is currently in use at my
facility is Cerner. Cerner retained the top spot for community hospitals of 101 250
beds for the same time period; it also came out the best for hospitalsystems. I will
discuss the role of this system as it relates to memory, computation decision support
and collaboration. Although there are some minor issues I have noticed throughout
the years I find navigation through this system is secure and easy to use. Cerner has
the capability to display available history and demographics. Each time a patient is
admitted into the hospital their records are maintained and are able to be viewed by
any authorized staff member. Their charts are only allowed to be accessed if the
patient was admitted within the last 30 days at any Methodist Health Care hospital.
All information documented from other Methodist facilities will be visible to current
providers. Chart Search improves productivity by limiting the amount of time needed
to search a patient s medical record. Clinicians
Research Article Review
Purposely examining journalistic studies can yield multifarious information with
regard.... Within the realm of analyzing and evaluating a professional research

disseminating a summary of the study, giving an explanation of the findings and
evaluating the overall theme of the article. In one such study titled, Comparison of
Physical Fitness Performance Between Elementary aged Students With and Without
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, these elements become prevalent as we

do so, we discover a refined and affirmed purpose for the study in Colombo
Dougovito s (2013) declaration that the aim of this study was to compare the
physical fitness performances of elementary aged students with and without ADHD
using The President s Challenge program as the vehicle for testing fitness
performance (p. 265). Columbo Dougivito then goes on to describe the reality that
ADHD has been linked to motor development defects which are included with
inferior coordination and exercise related capability which includes the area of
athletics and physical fitness (Columbo Dougovito, 2013, p. 263). Furthermore,
another motivation for engaging the study is the reality that much of the work in
this field has only been directed towards the more mature, fully developed aspect of
society and less of the adolescent or underage populace (Columbo Dougivito, 2013,
p. 263). Next, because of the accumulated data gather by Licari Licari (2008) within
the study, which includes the association of ADHD with poor balance, decreased fine
moto ability, decreased gross motor ability, and impaired motor response resulting in
slow reaction times , Columbo Dougivito (2013) postulated that it could be

Benefits Of Parking On College Students
The life of a college student is quite stressful. Between classes, social issues, clubs,
and jobs, college life already guarantees stress. This stress is only heightened by
parking after the commute many students make. Imagine that a student has left
their home and are on their way to a class in half an hour. There is a twenty minute
drive to the school, so ten minutes are left to park and walk to class. Upon arriving,
however, all the lots are full. The same student has now completed a day of college
and is trying to get their car but can t find it and knows that it will take them an
extra ten minutes to get their car in the first place. This issue of parking is one that
many consider universally annoying. Students, faculty, staff all have issues with
the parking situation. Fortunately, there are many possible solutions. The campus
of Rose Hulman Institute of Technology (RHIT) holds many locations that could
be used as additional parking. Cost versus reward feedback for such an action
would be greatly beneficial to the institute. Parking on this campus has been an
issue for many years as Professor Roads can attest. With all of this in mind, it is
time for RHIT to make a change to this situation. The Rose Hulman Institute of
Technology needs to upgrade their parking situation as soon as possible. Parking at
Rose Hulman has always been an issue, but due to the rising number of students per
class, it has gotten worse over the past few years. We interviewed Professor Roads, a
My Life Of Russell County
One year ago, my life changed forever. I walked into the same interview room and I
stepped up on the same stage as these girls and I was blessed to have those few
moments turned into a year of memories that I will never forget. I have had the
amazing opportunity to participate in what I think is the greatest fairin the
Commonwealth of Virginia. Russell County has definitely spoiled me, especially
in terms of horse shows; I definitely will not ever settle for less after spending hour
after addicting hour down in the arena. Russell County is also the only fair I have

I asked to do a pageant 13 years ago because I wanted to be Miss America.
Nonetheless, I am so thankful for such amazing parents that continually encourage
me to follow my dreams and push me to do my best and everything I do. I thank
God for allowing me to be your daughter and I love you both so much.
To everyone in Russell County, thank you for allowing me to be your queen and for
supporting me as well. I am so honored to have had the privilege to represent the
finest county in the Commonwealth of Virginia and I promise, my work here is not

Women And The Supreme Court
A few years ago, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said, People ask me
sometimes, when when do you think it will it be enough? When will there be
enough women on the court? And my answer is when there are nine. Justice
Ginsburg aims for a future where women can achieve the same monopoly on the
Supreme Court that men held for nearly two hundred years; she is optimistic that
someday, nine women will be able to reach the height of the American judicial
system. The path to an all female Supreme Court is quite an unlikely one, but a
strong and diverse court with women and people of color could be created and
would greatly benefit many marginalized groups in the United States. In this paper, I
will discuss a number of topics regarding woman and the Supreme Court from
historical precedents to objective research to the importance of female judges and
Justices and finally to the possibilities of the future. Each of these steps is vital to
fully understanding how we got to our country s current place in female jurisprudence
and creating future opportunities for women both on the Supreme Court and in all
other levels of the judicial system across the United States. In nearly the first two
hundred years of the United States existence, not a single woman served on the
Supreme Court of the United States. In that time, the court made hundreds if not
thousands of decisions that changed the lives of women around the country, but the
women had no say in how the cases were
The Importance Of Mount Fuji
Mount Fuji is the largest volcanic peak in Japan. According to the website,
Volcano Discovery , it has a base diameter of almost 50 km and culminates in a 500
m wide and 250 m deep summit crater (Mt. Fuji). Mount Fuji is mostly basaltic and
is considered a stratovolcano, a volcano comprised of various layers of lava and
ash (Wikipedia). Located about 60 miles away from Tokyo, it is considered one of
the most beautiful landmarks in the world. At about 12,000 feet tall, it has many
artistic attributes to its physical appearance of which many people enjoy visiting.
There is a large amount of controversy over whether the volcanowill erupt again. The
last time Mt. Fuji erupted was in 1707 (Mt. Fuji). While the volcano has not erupted
for a while, there is still much seismic activity happening beneath the surface.
Because of this, many people believe that the mountain will blow at any time. This
possible eruption would be greatly devastating, $31 billion in damage, to the Honshu
Island region in Japan (Blackstone). While Mt. Fuji is a work of art, it also has the
potential to cause a large amount of destruction. Constant surveillance of the
mountain is vital to ensure the safety of any individual in the vicinity. To understand
the volcano Mt. Fuji, one must understand the basic fundamentals of volcanoes as
well as what causes them. The eruption of a volcano is caused by small earthquakes
that happen within the Earth. Magmarises to the surface and solidifies. Eventually the
The Most Terrifying Machines Ever Invented By Man Essay
Rollercoasters are the most terrifying machines ever invented by man, especially to
an eleven year old. I had been looking forward to this trip for a long time getting to
ride my very first rollercoaster. Being the oldest and biggest of my two brothers I
was the only one tall enough to ride on them yet. The whole trip I had been
bragging about how I was going to ride all of them. My Dad and Mom had gotten
on to me for talking about it too much because my brothers where a little bit jealous
that they couldn t ride. I didn t care I was too excited to care.
As soon as we got to the amusement park the smell of popcorn and cotton candy
filled my nose. The anticipation that had been building up for the trip all came to a
boil as soon as I walked through the turn stile. The first thing that I did was find the
map and figured out where the rollercoasters were. My dad had to run to catch up
to me and keep me from getting in line by myself. I didn t know why, I was eleven
years old I could ride on the rollercoaster and my brothers couldn t I was basically an
adult now. I could do anything, or so I thought.
My Dad and I walked up to the line of the first rollercoaster that we came across.
Over the line there was a gigantic sign that read The Diamondback , my stomach
sank. The reality finally hit me, I was about to get on this and go 100 miles per
hour and get turned us upside down. All sorts of images filled my head. Images of
me flying off as we went around the turn or falling out
The Positive Effects Of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) become more popular every day. No one doubts
that their usage can bring a lot of benefits in various spheres. The focus of the
article would be on positive effects of drones acceptance in business. Adoption of
this technology leads industries to an entirely new level of production. It is
crucial for entities to realize the potential and advantages of usage of UAVs ASAP.
The historical context can explain the mega trends in the issue of UAVs. First
drones were designed and used primarily for military purposes since 1950 s and
even earlier. For instance, the U.S. and France worked on the development of
unmanned airplanes during the World War I. Then army started to use drones for
delivering messages, intelligence and bombing attacks (Calder). Such vehicles can
perform dozens of missions without risking a life of pilots. Moreover, drones
became smaller and more maneuver. They complete actions that were impossible
before. Besides the army, UAVs become more commonly used for civilian purposes.
Drones with artificial intelligence can provide surveillance videos and aerial data
from different places and heights. Furthermore, they can make a report on any
activity from the air. It opens new horizons in building industry. Companies can use
drones for making aerial pictures and analyzing data about the constructing process.
The start up Kespry already uses UAVs for earthworks projects, mine planning. It also
assists insurance firms. The drones
The Great Lakes Region By Richard White
Richard White provides a refreshing perspective on the Great Lakes region during the
colonial and early national periods in regards to the developing relationships between
the intrusive French, British, Americans and the indigenous Native Americans. The
Middle Ground: Indians, Empires and Republics in the Great Lakes Region
effectively links Native American history to broader themes in American history. He
presents a convincing argument of how the Middle Ground, a place the French called
the pays d en haut, allowed for mutual accommodation and an acculturative social
solution to develop out of the misunderstandings and the new meanings given to older
institutions. White looks to this area to show how Native Americans and Europeans
together constructed a complex and dynamic world that became the multiethnic
society of early America. White has written a remarkable book that further enriches
the historiography of the Great Lakes region and gives us a fuller understanding of
this complicated world that underwent profound historic change. White presents an
interesting introduction that demonstrates the extremely complex subject and
multiple influences that defined the middle ground. He does not state an obvious
thesis in his introduction but rather details the larger themes he intends to analyze
within the context of his book. He debunks the American myths related to the period
of European expansion in the Great Lakes region by noting that contact was not a
battle of primal
Role Of Medieval Women Essay
Medieval Women: Life, Love, and Liberties
Introduction
Women, the true caregivers, and limitless supporters of mankind. everywhere. No
matter the cost, women will give 110% percent of themselves on a daily basis to
provide for their loved ones. Without their love and commitment, we would all
become nothingness. Unfortunately, our colonial and social past depicts a different
image of our God given angels. In the Medieval time period, women had to endure a
rough life filled with mental abuse, arranged marriages, and subsequent prostitution.
This essay illustrates the responsibilities and ideas thrown on women in the Medieval
time period.
Roles of Women
Men, throughout Medieval literature, have been portrayed as the sole breadwinners
and the all powerful authority. From early ages, men instilled the idea that women
were inferior to them and their main objective was to serve man and bear children.
Though considered subordinate to men, medieval women made important
contributions that could not be overlooked. They ran manors, managed businesses,
and worked in the fields alongside men. But no matter a woman s place in society, she
was also expected to look after the household. (Newby, Web 2001). Being
subordinate to men, women did not have many rights and liberties. They did not
have a say on who they married or even have a choice in whether or not they wanted
to. Women were not given an education unless born into the Noble clergy or became
a part of the covenant. Even so, the

Malfeasance in the NYPD. Criminal Justice and Behavior, 40(11), 1301 1325. The
article seeks to extend prior research that has failed to fully explain factors that lead
to misconduct amongst policeofficers. Researchers looks to address career ending
misconduct by addressing there pathways which are: The timing of misconduct in
officer career, factors related to that time, the types of misconduct over time. These
factors are addressed through an examination of all officers separated from the New
York Police department during 1975 1996.
The sample population was 1542 sworn officer of the NYPD between the yeas of
1975 1999 that was fired from the forces for misconduct related issues. In addition to
that sample, a comparison group of approximately 1543 officers were included.

Dirty War Of Argentina Research Paper
Eva Richter
Period 7
In Argentina, under the dictatorship of Jorge Rafael Videla, the country experienced
many disappearances in the 1970s (Gardner). This was considered the Dirty War of
Argentina which was a seven year war between the Argentine government and
political dissidents in Argentina ( Military. ). Over 30,000 Argentines, mostly
innocent people, disappeared, many of which were children aged 18 years or
younger. Many families lost their children and loved ones. It seriously affected all of
Argentina, making a dent in their population (Goldman). The Dirty Warof Argentina

Rock And Roll, Segregation, And The British Invasion Of
1964
I watched a video from the 50th anniversary presentations. The video I watched
was about Rock and Roll, Segregation, and The British Invasion of 1964. It was
lectured by Dr. Christy Talbott, and she first talked about the pre rock and roll period.
The term Rock and Roll came from a song from the year 1938, that stated My baby
rock and rolls me all night. Rock and Rollor also known as American Rock, was
changed completely after the British Invasion came in 1964. The invasion turned
Rock and Roll into what is known today as Rock, it made a change for the good.
Musicians in the pre Rock and Roll era, sang about current events similar as we do
today. The events they sang about was Segregation, North Vs. South inferiority
and the wars that were happening at the time World War 2, Korean War and
Vietnam War. THe artists of this time consisted of The Everly Brothers, Buddy
Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ritchie Valens and the most famous of them all Elvis
Presley. Elvis Presley s music was called White man with an African American
feel. In 1959 Motown records in Detroit, Michigan hired an all black group called
The Temptations. Their song My Girl hit number one on the billboards in 1964.
The man that hired them was Berry Gordy Jr. Berry Gordy Jr also hired all black
women groups as well, but unlike the all black male groups he dressed the women
groups as white folk.
The Effects Of Technology On Education
Amidst the past several decades technology has become a crucial organ, advancing
our world to great discoveries and knowledge. It has opened doors to what some
may have found impossible only one hundred years ago, but the progress of
technology seems to have run into a road block. Inadequate education of high school
graduates and suffocation of creativity has become a problem all over America.
Technologyhas contributed by hindering our ability to retain information, stalling
progression in our school system and progressing in technology. Technology can be
advantageous for everyone, but because of its convenience and accessibility it is
hindering our ability to retain information. Within an article written by Timothy Noah

Instead we have become co dependent with technology and we have been raising our
children to follow in our footsteps.
We cannot expect Americas set back in educationto fix itself, we must act in order to
better the education of our children and ourselves. Technology has taken over
countless teaching methods and instigated the flatline of our educational system.
Indeed, technology can have many educational contributions, but today they are taken
advantage of. For technology to be a steady contribution to education we must re
discover the meaning of progress and innovation. Tyler Cowen, in a Ted Talk titled
The Great Stagnation , says that for Innovation to be effective it must improve and
not just merely alter. This means that if we are continuing to be innovative we
must continually be improving for there to be any progress. For example, Apple
has released a better iPhone each year, but if you compare the phone to the
previous year you will not find many differences. Maybe the screen will be larger,
the apps may be remodeled, but most of the time the core processer is the same, the
camera has the same pixels and the phones screen still cracks if you put it in your
back pocket. This is innovation with no progress, presenting a shiny new phone that
may be shiny, but not new. Within an article written by Jörg Friedrich titled

The Presentation of Women in La Belle Dame Sans Merci
and...
The Presentation of Women in La Belle Dame Sans Merci and Mariana Though
both poems have the common theme of unrequited love, Keats and Tennyson
assign very different characteristics to the women in their poems. In Mariana , the
woman is submissive and a victim of cruelty, whereas La Belle Dame in La Belle
Dame Sans Merci is the more powerful of the man and woman in the poem, and the
one inflicting the cruelty. In both poems, the landscapes mirror these characteristics,
and even the feelings of these two women. The landscape is also symbolic of
Mariana, as she is mortal and will eventually die as plants die, and seasons change.
She is therefore more naturalistic than the mysterious Belle Dame is. Her mystery is

La Belle Dame even rides the knight s pacing steed herself. This use of the
landscape around La Belle Dame by Keats to help shape her character is also used
in Mariana : From the dark fen the oxen s low Tennyson s use of pathetic fallacy
portrays a depressed, low , Mariana. Especially Mariana s aversion to light
associates her with death, or unhappiness, as opposed to life or happiness.
However, perhaps even La Belle Dame is unhappy, as she is forced to spend her
whole life abandoning men, without change. This is shown by the number of
Kings and Princes she has wounded: pale Kings and Princes too, Pale warriors,
death pale were they all. As there have been so many men ruined by her, it seems
likely she has been doing the same thing all her life. The rhythm and shape of the
poem could similarly reveal her endless life, as throughout there is a iambic
tetrameter, until the last line of each verse where the rhythm is a iambic dimeter:

Bella Behavior Observation
Steve and Art, I need to say some things about Bella s behavior regarding
participation in services. I am not happy to do this, but feel it is necessary.
Someone needs to have a talk with her; someone other than me. We all agree that it
is good to encourage Binghamton University students to attend and participate in
Temple Israel services. However, this needs to be in cooperation with the rest of
the participants and attendees. The issues with Bella have been occurring for a
few weeks, but have become more of a problem recently so I will use the past
week as specific examples. I include Bella and the other BU students in my weekly
email requesting Shabbat morning participants; last sent on December 11. On
December 13, she asked if she could lead Musaf with the full repetition. I already
had Geoffrey Brown on the chart for that part. I responded, Our arrangement with
Geoffrey Brown is he leads Musaf and Shacharit on alternating weeks. Thank you
for asking. Then Bella asked to lead Pesukei and read Torah. Although Pesukei was
open on the chart she received, it had been filled by then. Steve Gilbert... Show more

If she does not get the answer she wants, she will go to someone else. I feel she is
being disrespectful and uncooperative. If any of the other BU students have asked
to lead part of the service, I try to be accommodating and they accept whatever is
decided. All this has made me rather upset and tense. I could not concentrate on
leading Pesukei Shabbat morning or during most of the services Friday and
Saturday. It was initially nice to have Bella s interest and enthusiasm but she has
become aggressive in wanting to get her way. Someone needs to talk with her. In
person or on the phone would probably be better than email. That someone is not

Tick Tock
1 Every day brings a new surprise and this day sure brought a good one. The thing
that I dealt 1with that day was something I never would imagine happening to me or
anyone in a million years. I

wind blowing, the 3birds tweeting. Not a problem in sight. Until I took a short
nap and rose a few hours later. My eyes 4quickly opened to a vexatious sound. A
continues ticking which messed with my head. Tick tock 5tick tock over and over
again. I took a deep breath and calmed down for a second. Then, the 6monstrous

then dumped the bag of 32watches out on the floor. I deathly gripped the hammer and
smashed each watch one by one. After I 33had finished, I piled the watch scraps
back in the bag and grabbed a shovel. I ran to the side of the 34house and dug a
small hole where I buried each and every watch. After I was done, I returned my

minutes, but the 36moments of glory didn t last long. Suddenly, the deplorable sound
started again. I cringed. I took a 37deep breath and thought for a second. Then,
something in my kitchen caught my eye. A clock. 38How could I not know that a
clock in the house was making the noise! Relief struck me like 39lightning,

Senior Project Basketball is more than just a sport Dwayne Wade was born
January 17, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois. Most people see Wade as just an NBA star
who has a lot of money, but most people don t know the full story of what he has
been through in his life and how he got to the NBA. When Wade was born, his
parents separated a short while after and custody was given to his mother. Then
because of the crime in Chicago and financial issues Wade had to move with his
father. This is where Dwayne Wade began to play basketballand found out that he
was really good at it. He was a star on his high school varsity basketball team then
moved up to the college and was unable to play for his first two years because of
his grades. For these two years that Wade couldn t play he still practiced with the
team and continued to work on and improve his game. In 2003 Wade entered the
NBA draft and was selected to play with the Miami Heat where he made himself an
All star and still is an all star today. People who play basketball are affected in many
positive ways by it. African Americans that come from low income families and
dangerous neighborhoods often play basketball. Young African Americans see
playing basketball as a ticket to a better life and a cheaper education. Black students
receive more athletic scholarships than any other race. In 2008 African Americans
received twenty three percent of all athletic
Sweatshops Is Bad
Out of Bad Comes Good
A sweatshop is a factory where workers receive low wages while being forced to
work in poor environments. In general, these workshops produce an abundant
amount of the clothing that we wear everyday. However, few acknowledge the act
of sweatshop labor, since it is rarely shown to the public eye. Ironically, many
popular fashion brands that we buy from all recieve clothes that are made in
sweatshops. While sweatshop workers are treated unfairly in the workplace, fast
fashion provides them with jobs and it provides us with the clothing that we
constantly demand for. To understand the topic of sweatshop labor, we must
recognize the effects of this controversial working system.
First, we have to consider the conditions that
The Importance Of Youth Sports
Youth sports have become a cornerstone of today s American society. Most children
have or will participate in some sort of organized sport whether it be through a local
organization or through a national organization like the YMCA. The question being
posed today is if these organizations should award every childwith a trophyor medal
for their participation, or if they should reserve these awards for those who won
the most. If you praise and award a child for just showing up then it will hurt them
later in life. There are two kinds of youth sports parents. There are the parents who
adimitly say that it s not about winning or losing but about having fun. Then there
are the parents who only care if their son is on the winning team, and the idea of it s
just a game is for losers (Weller 1).
The parents who say it s just about having fun, and think that everyone deserves a
trophy are potentially hurting their kids development. new studies from The Ohio
State University and Utrecht University in the Netherlands advises against
participation awards. They suggest that parents often dole out inflated praise to the
children most likely to be hurt by it. If you tell a child with low self esteem that they
did incredibly well, they may think they always need to do incredibly well, said
Eddie Brummelman, lead author of the study. This culture of always praising
children, especially in youth sports, is hurting the child s development. They will

Summer School Reflection
He left his seat. He walked to the back of the classroom. Then he balled up his thick
fist, and he kept on PUNCHING and PUNCHING the classroom s back wall!
RT s short and chunky bodily structure was terrifying. So, I stood at the front of the
classroom, near the main exit, and watched his horrifying behavior.
In the beginning, I started to run and get help because I thought he was having a
seizure. Couldn t he feel the pain of his hard punches? I asked myself. He wanted
an A, but he earned a D, and that s what I wrote (as a grade) on his paper.
My nail biting moment took place when I taught a long term summer school
assignment. The name of the course I taught was social studies, and I only had five
students in the class. Oddly, two of the 12th grade students came faithfully: RT and
Chase. Since they failed the course during the normal school year, they I had to
retake the class during the summer. They thought I was their worst nightmare teacher
because I challenged their knowledge. The students became angry and told me that
summer school was supposed to be easy and relaxing; not like we re in college.
We started the day with reading. Then we discussed the chapter, and answered the
questions. Many of the questions required critical thinking, and an extensive analysis.
This meant essays were appropriate.
RT had programmed his mind to believe that he was going to fail the course. Most
of his grades were D s, but I tried to convince him that he
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder ( Ptsd )

The Portrait Of The British Royal And Prince Albert With...
The portrait of the British royal family Queen Victoria and Prince Albert with Five
of Their Children was painted by a German painter named Franz Xaver Winterhal.
He was widely known for his beautiful and elaborated portraits of royal women. The
portrait of Queen Victoria and her family is Wintergal s less well known portrait, but
it is still very detailed image. In the artwork, the queen and the princeare centered
with their children surrounding them. Both are dressed in exquisite formal wear
decorated with a blue sash across their chest. Next to Queen Victoria is the young
prince dressed in red garment, who is looking at Prince Albert. On the right side of
Prince Albert are two of their daughters dressed in white dresses who are peering
over an infant that is staring at something. While in front of the queen and prince is
another girl that is trying to walk. In the background of the painting, it shows an open
backdrop revealing a cloudy, blue sky with an ocean that stretches out in the distance.
Although this painting is not well known, it still portrays a sense of understanding of
the royal family. In the same context, all paintings or artworks holds its very own
importance depending on the eye of the beholder looking at the artwork, as it will be
interpret by what knowledge they have obtained.
Even though, it is merely a family portrait, this artwork reveals a hidden meaning
about the royal family and their interaction with each other. The artwork portrays the
George Etienne Cartier s Legacy And Contributions
For my heritage fair I decided to research George Etienne Cartier, who if you haven
t heard about was a lawyer, rebel, politician and railway promoter whose
contributions to Confederation were on the same level as figures like John A.
Macdonald and George Brown(Sweeny). If you haven t heard of any of these
people, then don t worry I ll be going into length on all of them. Furthermore, if you
were wondering why I chose this topic to research, I would truthfully tell you that
the only reason I chose George Etienne Cartier was because he was as good a topic
as anything else, so personally I didn t care about the topic. But as I put more
research into the topic I came to realize just how important George Etienne Cartier
was to Canada. Not just in his efforts towards Confederation but also the work he
put into preserving French culture and identity in Canada to railway development.
Of course this isn t as exciting as many other topics, but without George Cartier s
legacy and contributions we would most likely not be where we are today. In this
report I will be covering the life of George Etienne Cartier, including his early life,
background, political life before and after Confederation.
Early Life and Rebellions
How did George Etienne Cartier grow up?
George Etienne Cartier was born on September 6th 1814 in Saint Antoine sur
Richelieu to parents Jacques Cartier (not the explorer) and Marguerite Paradis.
George had 7 siblings and was the seventh child of his
History Of The United States And The Uk
With many reports and studies conducted on the history of graffiti in the United
States and the UK, one must not overlook the history of street art in France. With
France being a dignified instigator of political changes in modern history, France
always honored the revolutionary spirit, which fit perfectly with the art that
emerged out of resistance. In today s time, France, and Paris especially, both
enforce strict laws against vandalism and the damage of public property and
monuments. A law enforced starting in 1994, determines up to 10 years in jail, with
fines up to 150,000 euros for vandalism of public landmarks. A big part of the street
art appeal lies in the anonymous case of the artistic messenger, which by the style of

John Owen s Holy Spirit
JOHN OWEN S VINDICATION OF HOLY SPIRIT S DEITY AND ITS BENEFITS
FOR BELIEVERS
Against the Socinians, John Owen vindicated the deity of the Holy Spirit, as well as
his benefits for believers, within a Christological context. The Socinians were not the
only opponents Owen dealt with, but they were notorious for their anti Trinitarian
views. On Owen s theological engagement, Crawford Gribben assessed the Socinian
threat as a gift to Owen for drawing attention to the ambiguity of the boundaries of
orthodoxy permitted by the state, and that Owen took advantage of the moral panic.
While it is true that Owen produced theological works in response to Socinianism,
Owen regarded Socinianism as a major threat. The same applies to other ... Show

Before examining the doctrines of Socinian and those of Owen, however, it is
important to consider the historical context of these theological controversies.
Historical Context
John Owen s Context
John Owen (1616 1683) was born in Stadhampton, near Oxford, to Henry Owen, a
man of Puritan sympathies. After finishing local grammar school, Owen
matriculated at Queen s College, Oxford, in 1631. Owen achieved his Bachelor of
Arts in 1632. He finished his Master of Arts studies in 1635 and ordained deacon.
Then Owen engaged in a 7 year course for a Bachelor of Divinity. In 1642, Owen
published A Display of Arminianism, the first among many of his works. Owen soon
received much attention and was invited to preach before Parliament.
In 1649, after the execution of Charles, Owen again preached to parliament. Here,
Oliver Cromwell was present and chose Owen as his chaplain. Owen was then
appointed Dean of Christ Church, Oxford, in 1651. In the following year, Owen
became vice chancellor and served until 1657. As a preacher who joined Cromwell s
revolution, Owen s appointment was a symbolic victory over monarchy. In other
words, the new appointments to key university positions were symbolic of the wider
ambitions of the Cromwellian administration.
As the Oxford Reformer, as Gribben put it, Owen promoted Calvinistic piety that
transcended the political and cultural division of the university. In 1651, for example,
Owen outlined the qualities of Calvinistic piety when he
Analyse the Commodity Attractions of the Element Nickel
Essay
Nickel
Introduction
The intension of the paper is to analyse the commodity attractions of the element
nickel. It is highly related to physical and chemical properties of the element
because any commercial usage of this element is based on its property. Also, nickel is
extracted from ore, so the ore deposit of it will be highly related to the capital of any
nickel related business. The laterite nickel ore deposit, Greenvale located in
Queensland be focused on to reveal the genesis and other attributes of this type of
nickel deposit. Based on these information a conclusion of the current market status
of nickel can be portrayed.

(Keim 1990). Nickel is widely used in industries.
Ore deposit condition Most of nickel is extracted from laterite nickel ores, which
consist 60% 70% of nickel on earth. This kind of ore is formed by the chemical
weathering of serpentinite and other igneous rocks. Because of this requirement of
weathering, deposits are located mostly in a humid tropical environment (Figure
1). (Butt Cluzel 2013) The major end product of this weathering process will be:
hematite, nickeliferous limonitic ore ((Fe,Ni)O(OH).nH2O) and nickeliferous
silicate ore ((Ni,Mg)6Si4O10(OH)8). Nickeliferous limonitic ore and nickeliferous
silicate ore are the two dominant types of nickel ore. (Pickles 2003) uplifted oxide
rich regoliths form nickeliferous limonitic ore and nickel goes downward to
saprolite and combine with silicates to form nickeliferous silicate ore. The silicate
ore deposits at a greater depth than the limonitic ore. Nickeliferous limonitic ores
are mostly weathered product of goethites. (Butt Cluzel 2013) For both ores nickel
content of each will be around 1.5%. Nickel in the silicate ore will be more than
1.5%. (Pickles 2003) Since laterite nickel ores are from the weathering of pre
existing rock, the composition of surrounding rocks, topography and climate are
important factors. Usually laterite nickel ores will form on olivine rich ultramafic
rocks. These rocks are the basic building blocks of nickel ores.
How Does The Corrupt Friar
The Corrupt Friar
Geoffrey Chaucer wrote The Canterbury Tales in the late twelfth century and was one
of the first writers to communicate with the audience in an informal manner.
Throughout The Canterbury Tales, he observes the pilgrims on their journey to
Canterbury. The people go on the pilgrimage to honor Thomas A Becket, a martyr to
those of the Catholic faith, others to socialize or to vacation. Whatever their motive
might be, Chaucer provides his audience with a brief description of each individual.
Among the pilgrims traveling with Chaucer, there is a friar named Hubert.
Highlighting the friars corrupt practices, reflects the Catholic Church s corruption
during the medieval period. A Friar acts as a symbol of the Catholic Church;
therefore, his image should be one of humility and poverty. However, he presents
himself as a corrupt member of the church. Chaucer writes, Accorded it, as far as
he could see, / To have sick lepers for acquaintances (244 245). Considering a friar
begs in order to sustain himself, he should be familiar with the other beggars in
town. Since he only considers the beggars to be acquaintances, Chaucer views him
as an immoral friar. Not only does he think of the sick and poor only as
acquaintances, he is friendly with every tavern and barmaid in town (240 241).
Chaucer presents him to be a selfish friar. By caring more for his well being than
his duties as a friar, he creates the image of corruption. He also hunts for people that

Argumentative Essay On Why College Should Be Free
A hot topic right now in the U.S. is whether or not college should be free. College
being free means that everyone would graduate debt free and they would start
helping the economy as soon as they graduate. College is expensive and with 2
siblings who have experienced it, it can be stressful at times. There are many people
who just can t afford to go to school right now. Scholarships do help a lot, but most
of them just aren t enough, and if collegewas free, that would mean students would
not have to worry about having to pay back all of the student loans and debt.
Barack Obama, himself, would like for every student to get an opportunity to do
something good with their lives. He has proposed a plan that would provide two
years at any community college free? This plan would help every student in
America and it would lower the student loan debt tremendously, which is at an all
time high at 1.2 trillion dollars and is the second highest consumer debt behind
mortgages. With the presidental campaign coming many more nominees would like
to install a plan that give a tuition free college. Bernie Sanders, a Democratic
candidate has a plan which would require public colleges and universities to meet
100% of the financial needs of the lowest income students. Low income students

The Parts
Of
Nervous system
I.
The nervous system is a very complex system in the body. It has many, many parts.
The nervous system is divided into two main systems, the central nervous system
(CNS) and the peripheral nervous system. The spinal cord and the brain make up the
CNS. Its main job is to get the information from the body and send out instructions.
The peripheral nervous system is made up of all of the nerves and the wiring. This
system sends the messages from the brain to the rest of the body. The peripheral
nervous system consists of the nerves that lie ... Show more content on

Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous System
The autonomic system regulates the involuntary body functions like respiration,
heartbeat, blood flow and digestion. It is further subdivided into the sympathetic
nervous system which regulates your flight or fight responses, and the
parasympathetic system that helps regulate various normal functions of the body, for
example, sexual arousal, salivation, lacrimation (shedding tears), urination, digestion,
and defecation. Functions of the parasympathetic nerves include constriction of eye
pupils, increase in secretion of saliva, increased digestion, decrease in heartbeat, etc.
The sympathetic nerve functions involve dilation of eye pupils, sweating, production
of goose bumps, decrease in digestion, etc. One of the important nerves, the vagus
nerve is divided into sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves.
The sensory system is also a part of the nervous system. Sensory systems for vision,
hearing, somatic sensation (touch), taste and olfaction (smell) work with the help of
the sensory receptors, neural pathways and certain parts in the brain that help process
sensory information. When you feel cold or hot, it is the sensory neurons that are
doing their work. The motor neurons are reactors, that help the body react to different
environment. For example, the immediate pulling away of your hand when you touch
a hot stove
The Detection System For Aircraft Inspection
Summary
The sub system which was analyzed in the aircraft flaw detection system is the
sensing sub system . The main function of this sub system is to determine whether
the flaw detected by the scanning sub system is valid by examining it further and
notify the engineers if repair work is needed and provide them with statistics of the
flaw. Movement system will then be activated so that the robot marks the points
where examination has been done to ensure no repetition of inspection occurs.
The problem encountered with most of the sensing system for aircraft inspection is
the efficiency and accuracy of it. The robot has to be designed in such a way that
flaws can be detected precisely in a short period of time so that the airline companies
could use it for quick and safe inspection.
The best sensing method is a combination of laser scanning and ultrasonic, due to the
facts that surface and in depth inspection could be carried out in a short period of
time with minimum false detection and less complicated analysis of inspection results.

Students Need Great Gadgets For A Few Reason
Students need great gadgets for a few reason: they can help with school work, they
re convenient and they re cool. Here s a look at a few types of gadgets that all
students should look into, and the best options for each category of gadgets. Cell
Phones Every student needs a cell phone for staying in contact with family
members. Smart phones have a ton of extra features that can really come into play
during a school year, like calculators and Ebook Readers Textbooks costs are one of
the biggest costs that students have to deal with, and an eBook reader can help
ease the burden while providing an intuitive, fun way to read. The best eBook
readers for students are black and white readers like the Barnes and Noble Nook
and the Amazon Kindle, because black and white readers have long battery lives
and can be read in direct sunlight. Color readers are more in line with tablets, which
we ll get to in a minute, but they re inferior for reading. A black and white reader
like the Barnes and Noble Nook runs about $149. Tablets Tablets aren t the most
essential tool for school, but they re awesome for unwinding after a day s studies
and can handle some of the duties of the other gadgets on this list. The most popular
tablets are the iPad, of course, and Androidofferings like the Motorola Xoom. These
usually cost about $500, but there are cheaper options available like the Asus Eee

Persuasive Essay On Foreign Aid
Ever had that one friend? The one who tries to help, but no matter how hard he tries,
he just aggravates the situation. This friend, Steve, insists he is helping, and those
around, too, would support that he is indeed helping. But Steve is actually worsening
the circumstances. He is like countries who provide foreign aidto less developed
countries. Foreign aid, defined as the international transfer of capital, goods, or
services from a country or international organization for the benefit of the recipient
country or its population, can be military, economic, or humanitarian ( Foreign ). It is
often granted to less developed countries in order to evoke governmentreforms or to
stimulate economic growth. However, foreign aid neither elicits government reform,
nor does it consistently and reliably stimulate economic growth; therefore, the United
States should discontinue providing foreign economic aid. When Steve tries to help,
he insists he is improving the situation and creating a higher quality environment.
Comparably, foreign aid is often granted to reward just, democratic governments, or
induce reforms from autocratic governments. On the contrary, according to the
World Bank s Assessing Aid, foreign aid and reform have little relation. Rather,
foreign aid is more harmful than beneficial. Katherine Erbeznik writes in Money

America Needs Its Nerds Summary
America Needs Its Nerds by Leonid Fridman proposes a relevant issue that the
intellectually gifted students are being ostracized in today s society. Fridman argues
that nerds and geeks need to stop being ashamed of themselves. He develops these
arguments by using the rhetorical strategy of parallelism, making comparisons,
utilizing diction and irony. Fridman uses parallelism through his sentence structure
and in the progression of the essay. Parallelism in sentence structure is shown in lines
three through four when he states, Intellectually curious and academically serious .
Those words are grammatically similar, with the same suffixes and pronunciations.
Parallelisms comes back again in lines seventeen through eighteen, when Fridman
states that, Nerds are ostracized while athletes are idolized . Ostracized and idolized
represent parallelism in sentence structure because of their endings and
pronunciation. The author uses parallelism in sentence structure to contribute to the

Classroom Observation Essay. Kindergarten classroom observation. Classroom Observation Report ...

  • 1. Classroom Observation Essay Crafting an essay on the subject of "Classroom Observation" can prove to be both challenging and rewarding. The difficulty arises from the multifaceted nature of the task, requiring a delicate balance between objective observation and thoughtful analysis. Firstly, the observational aspect demands keen attention to detail. The writer must immerse themselves in the classroom environment, noting interactions between students and teachers, teaching methodologies employed, and the overall atmosphere. Capturing these nuances requires sharp observational skills, as missing key moments could lead to an incomplete analysis. Furthermore, the essay should delve into the pedagogical strategies employed by the educator. Understanding the rationale behind teaching methods and their impact on student engagement and comprehension is crucial. This involves not only observing the class but also conducting research on various teaching styles and educational theories. The analysis itself adds another layer of complexity. Balancing objectivity with insightful commentary is a delicate task. It requires the writer to critically assess the observed classroom dynamics, drawing connections between theoretical frameworks and real-world practices. This intellectual synthesis demands a solid understanding of educational concepts and effective communication skills. Additionally, the essay should be structured coherently, presenting observations and analyses in a logical sequence. Transitioning seamlessly between descriptive accounts and analytical insights is vital for a well-rounded and compelling essay. In conclusion, writing a "Classroom Observation Essay" is a task that necessitates a blend of observational prowess, research acumen, and analytical thinking. It challenges the writer to explore the intricacies of the learning environment, decipher teaching methodologies, and construct a cohesive narrative. While demanding, successfully navigating these challenges can result in a nuanced and insightful piece. • 2. Ice Lyli Ice Fili (АЙС θРЛР) You cannot defeat a nation that enjoys ice cream at minus 40 Celsius. Winston Churchill To survive in Russia s ice cream industry during the 11 years since the collapse of the former Soviet Union was no small feat (see Exhibits 1 and 2). To be successful in these turbulent times was nothing short of amazing to industry observers. In 2002, Ice Fili, a midsized Russian company with more than $25 million in sales, was Russia s top ice cream producer. Surprisingly, it had outlasted several well known international companies such as Ben Jerry s, which exited the Russian market in 1997, and Unilever, which left in 2001. Ice Fili had not only successfully transitioned from the tight controls of the Soviet regime... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... and Europe (reminiscent of whipped cream). Also, traditional Russian ice cream was made with all natural ingredients and did not contain preservatives. It was believed that Russian consumers were generally more concerned about preservatives in food than fat levels. According to an industry trade association representative, Millions of foreigners, after arriving in Moscow and tasting our ice cream, have proclaimed Russian ice cream to be the best in the world. 7 In the selling of ice cream, many products competed for the consumer dollar, including beer (Baltica and dozens of other domestic brands), soda (primarily Pepsi and Coke), yogurts, chocolate (Mars, NestlГ©, and numerous domestic players such as Red October), and other confectionary candies. The producers of these products often spent considerably more on advertising than ice cream producers.8 In 2001, ice cream producers spent less than $5 million on advertising in Russia (1% of sales), while the $4.5 billion Russian beer market spent approximately $90 million (2% of sales) and the soft drink industry spent almost $200 million (7% of sales) on advertising.9 The beer, soft drink, and confectionary industries enjoyed increasing market demand rather than the depressed trend found in the Russian ice cream industry. In 2000, the production of ice cream was down 3.5% from the year before; in
  • 3. The Medical And Healthcare Records The medical or healthcare record has multiple purposes. First, it is repository of documentation of the actions taken in patient management, the documentation of a patient s progress, and therefore a mean s to augment one s memory and knowledge as well as to provide meaningful medical information to other practitioners should the patient transfer to a new provider or should the original provider be unavailable for some reason. The health electronic health recordsystem that is currently in use at my facility is Cerner. Cerner retained the top spot for community hospitals of 101 250 beds for the same time period; it also came out the best for hospitalsystems. I will discuss the role of this system as it relates to memory, computation decision support and collaboration. Although there are some minor issues I have noticed throughout the years I find navigation through this system is secure and easy to use. Cerner has the capability to display available history and demographics. Each time a patient is admitted into the hospital their records are maintained and are able to be viewed by any authorized staff member. Their charts are only allowed to be accessed if the patient was admitted within the last 30 days at any Methodist Health Care hospital. All information documented from other Methodist facilities will be visible to current providers. Chart Search improves productivity by limiting the amount of time needed to search a patient s medical record. Clinicians

Within the realm of analyzing and evaluating a professional research articles, there are three facets worthy of covering from a .... Standpoint. They include disseminating a summary of the study, giving an explanation of the findings and evaluating the overall theme of the article. In one such study titled, Comparison of Physical Fitness Performance Between Elementary aged Students With and Without Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, these elements become prevalent as we divulge into the expressions that the authors are trying to promulgate. With this respective motivation for information discovery and postulation to do so, we discover a refined and affirmed purpose for the study in Colombo Dougovito s (2013) declaration that the aim of this study was to compare the physical fitness performances of elementary aged students with and without ADHD using The President s Challenge program as the vehicle for testing fitness performance (p. 265). Columbo Dougivito then goes on to describe the reality that ADHD has been linked to motor development defects which are included with inferior coordination and exercise related capability which includes the area of athletics and physical fitness (Columbo Dougovito, 2013, p. 263). Furthermore, another motivation for engaging the study is the reality that much of the work in this field has only been directed towards the more mature, fully developed aspect of society and less of the adolescent or underage populace (Columbo Dougivito, 2013, p. 263). Next, because of the accumulated data gather by Licari Licari (2008) within the study, which includes the association of ADHD with poor balance, decreased fine moto ability, decreased gross motor ability, and impaired motor response resulting in slow reaction times , Columbo Dougivito (2013) postulated that it could be hypothesized that these children also have low fitness levels (as cited in Columbo Dougivito,
  • 5. Benefits Of Parking On College Students The life of a college student is quite stressful. Between classes, social issues, clubs, and jobs, college life already guarantees stress. This stress is only heightened by parking after the commute many students make. Imagine that a student has left their home and are on their way to a class in half an hour. There is a twenty minute drive to the school, so ten minutes are left to park and walk to class. Upon arriving, however, all the lots are full. The same student has now completed a day of college and is trying to get their car but can t find it and knows that it will take them an extra ten minutes to get their car in the first place. This issue of parking is one that many consider universally annoying. Students, faculty, staff all have issues with the parking situation. Fortunately, there are many possible solutions. The campus of Rose Hulman Institute of Technology (RHIT) holds many locations that could be used as additional parking. Cost versus reward feedback for such an action would be greatly beneficial to the institute. Parking on this campus has been an issue for many years as Professor Roads can attest. With all of this in mind, it is time for RHIT to make a change to this situation. The Rose Hulman Institute of Technology needs to upgrade their parking situation as soon as possible. Parking at Rose Hulman has always been an issue, but due to the rising number of students per class, it has gotten worse over the past few years. We interviewed Professor Roads, a

  • 7. Women And The Supreme Court A few years ago, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said, People ask me sometimes, when when do you think it will it be enough? When will there be enough women on the court? And my answer is when there are nine. Justice Ginsburg aims for a future where women can achieve the same monopoly on the Supreme Court that men held for nearly two hundred years; she is optimistic that someday, nine women will be able to reach the height of the American judicial system. The path to an all female Supreme Court is quite an unlikely one, but a strong and diverse court with women and people of color could be created and would greatly benefit many marginalized groups in the United States. In this paper, I will discuss a number of topics regarding woman and the Supreme Court from historical precedents to objective research to the importance of female judges and Justices and finally to the possibilities of the future. Each of these steps is vital to fully understanding how we got to our country s current place in female jurisprudence and creating future opportunities for women both on the Supreme Court and in all other levels of the judicial system across the United States. In nearly the first two hundred years of the United States existence, not a single woman served on the Supreme Court of the United States. In that time, the court made hundreds if not thousands of decisions that changed the lives of women around the country, but the women had no say in how the cases were

According to the website, Volcano Discovery , it has a base diameter of almost 50 km and culminates in a 500 m wide and 250 m deep summit crater (Mt. Fuji). Mount Fuji is mostly basaltic and is considered a stratovolcano, a volcano comprised of various layers of lava and ash (Wikipedia). Located about 60 miles away from Tokyo, it is considered one of the most beautiful landmarks in the world. At about 12,000 feet tall, it has many artistic attributes to its physical appearance of which many people enjoy visiting. There is a large amount of controversy over whether the volcanowill erupt again. The last time Mt. Fuji erupted was in 1707 (Mt. Fuji). While the volcano has not erupted for a while, there is still much seismic activity happening beneath the surface. Because of this, many people believe that the mountain will blow at any time. This possible eruption would be greatly devastating, $31 billion in damage, to the Honshu Island region in Japan (Blackstone). While Mt. I had been looking forward to this trip for a long time getting to ride my very first rollercoaster. Being the oldest and biggest of my two brothers I was the only one tall enough to ride on them yet. The whole trip I had been bragging about how I was going to ride all of them. My Dad and Mom had gotten on to me for talking about it too much because my brothers where a little bit jealous that they couldn t ride. I didn t care I was too excited to care. As soon as we got to the amusement park the smell of popcorn and cotton candy filled my nose. The anticipation that had been building up for the trip all came to a boil as soon as I walked through the turn stile. The first thing that I did was find the map and figured out where the rollercoasters were. My dad had to run to catch up to me and keep me from getting in line by myself. I didn t know why, I was eleven years old I could ride on the rollercoaster and my brothers couldn t I was basically an adult now. I could do anything, or so I thought. My Dad and I walked up to the line of the first rollercoaster that we came across. Over the line there was a gigantic sign that read The Diamondback , my stomach sank. The reality finally hit me, I was about to get on this and go 100 miles per hour and get turned us upside down. All sorts of images filled my head. It is crucial for entities to realize the potential and advantages of usage of UAVs ASAP. The historical context can explain the mega trends in the issue of UAVs. First drones were designed and used primarily for military purposes since 1950 s and even earlier. For instance, the U.S. and France worked on the development of unmanned airplanes during the World War I. Then army started to use drones for delivering messages, intelligence and bombing attacks (Calder). Such vehicles can perform dozens of missions without risking a life of pilots. Moreover, drones became smaller and more maneuver. They complete actions that were impossible before. Besides the army, UAVs become more commonly used for civilian purposes. Drones with artificial intelligence can provide surveillance videos and aerial data from different places and heights. Furthermore, they can make a report on any activity from the air. It opens new horizons in building industry. Companies can use drones for making aerial pictures and analyzing data about the constructing process. The start up Kespry already uses UAVs for earthworks projects, mine planning. It also assists insurance firms. The drones
  • 11. The Great Lakes Region By Richard White Richard White provides a refreshing perspective on the Great Lakes region during the colonial and early national periods in regards to the developing relationships between the intrusive French, British, Americans and the indigenous Native Americans. The Middle Ground: Indians, Empires and Republics in the Great Lakes Region effectively links Native American history to broader themes in American history. He presents a convincing argument of how the Middle Ground, a place the French called the pays d en haut, allowed for mutual accommodation and an acculturative social solution to develop out of the misunderstandings and the new meanings given to older institutions. White looks to this area to show how Native Americans and Europeans together constructed a complex and dynamic world that became the multiethnic society of early America. White has written a remarkable book that further enriches the historiography of the Great Lakes region and gives us a fuller understanding of this complicated world that underwent profound historic change. White presents an interesting introduction that demonstrates the extremely complex subject and multiple influences that defined the middle ground. He does not state an obvious thesis in his introduction but rather details the larger themes he intends to analyze within the context of his book. He debunks the American myths related to the period of European expansion in the Great Lakes region by noting that contact was not a battle of primal
  • 12. Role Of Medieval Women Essay Medieval Women: Life, Love, and Liberties Introduction Women, the true caregivers, and limitless supporters of mankind. everywhere. No matter the cost, women will give 110% percent of themselves on a daily basis to provide for their loved ones. Without their love and commitment, we would all become nothingness. Unfortunately, our colonial and social past depicts a different image of our God given angels. In the Medieval time period, women had to endure a rough life filled with mental abuse, arranged marriages, and subsequent prostitution. This essay illustrates the responsibilities and ideas thrown on women in the Medieval time period. Roles of Women Men, throughout Medieval literature, have been portrayed as the sole breadwinners and the all powerful authority. From early ages, men instilled the idea that women were inferior to them and their main objective was to serve man and bear children. Though considered subordinate to men, medieval women made important contributions that could not be overlooked. They ran manors, managed businesses, and worked in the fields alongside men. But no matter a woman s place in society, she was also expected to look after the household. (Newby, Web 2001). Being subordinate to men, women did not have many rights and liberties. They did not have a say on who they married or even have a choice in whether or not they wanted to. Women were not given an education unless born into the Noble clergy or became a part of the covenant. Even so, the

The video I watched was about Rock and Roll, Segregation, and The British Invasion of 1964. It was lectured by Dr. Christy Talbott, and she first talked about the pre rock and roll period. The term Rock and Roll came from a song from the year 1938, that stated My baby rock and rolls me all night. Rock and Rollor also known as American Rock, was changed completely after the British Invasion came in 1964. The invasion turned Rock and Roll into what is known today as Rock, it made a change for the good. Musicians in the pre Rock and Roll era, sang about current events similar as we do today. The events they sang about was Segregation, North Vs. South inferiority and the wars that were happening at the time World War 2, Korean War and Vietnam War. THe artists of this time consisted of The Everly Brothers, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ritchie Valens and the most famous of them all Elvis Presley. Elvis Presley s music was called White man with an African American feel. In 1959 Motown records in Detroit, Michigan hired an all black group called The Temptations. For technology to be a steady contribution to education we must re discover the meaning of progress and innovation. Tyler Cowen, in a Ted Talk titled The Great Stagnation , says that for Innovation to be effective it must improve and not just merely alter. This means that if we are continuing to be innovative we must continually be improving for there to be any progress. For example, Apple has released a better iPhone each year, but if you compare the phone to the previous year you will not find many differences. Maybe the screen will be larger, the apps may be remodeled, but most of the time the core processer is the same, the camera has the same pixels and the phones screen still cracks if you put it in your back pocket. This is innovation with no progress, presenting a shiny new phone that may be shiny, but not new. Within an article written by Jörg Friedrich titled

The Presentation of Women in La Belle Dame Sans Merci and Mariana Though both poems have the common theme of unrequited love, Keats and Tennyson assign very different characteristics to the women in their poems. In Mariana , the woman is submissive and a victim of cruelty, whereas La Belle Dame in La Belle Dame Sans Merci is the more powerful of the man and woman in the poem, and the one inflicting the cruelty. In both poems, the landscapes mirror these characteristics, and even the feelings of these two women. The question being posed today is if these organizations should award every childwith a trophyor medal for their participation, or if they should reserve these awards for those who won the most. If you praise and award a child for just showing up then it will hurt them later in life. There are two kinds of youth sports parents. There are the parents who adimitly say that it s not about winning or losing but about having fun. Then there are the parents who only care if their son is on the winning team, and the idea of it s just a game is for losers (Weller 1). The parents who say it s just about having fun, and think that everyone deserves a trophy are potentially hurting their kids development. new studies from The Ohio State University and Utrecht University in the Netherlands advises against participation awards. Furthermore, if you were wondering why I chose this topic to research, I would truthfully tell you that the only reason I chose George Etienne Cartier was because he was as good a topic as anything else, so personally I didn t care about the topic. But as I put more research into the topic I came to realize just how important George Etienne Cartier was to Canada. Not just in his efforts towards Confederation but also the work he put into preserving French culture and identity in Canada to railway development. Of course this isn t as exciting as many other topics, but without George Cartier s legacy and contributions we would most likely not be where we are today. In this report I will be covering the life of George Etienne Cartier, including his early life, background, political life before and after Confederation. Early Life and Rebellions How did George Etienne Cartier grow up? George Etienne Cartier was born on September 6th 1814 in Saint Antoine sur Richelieu to parents Jacques Cartier (not the explorer) and Marguerite Paradis. George had 7 siblings and was the seventh child of his

History Of The United States And The Uk With many reports and studies conducted on the history of graffiti in the United States and the UK, one must not overlook the history of street art in France. With France being a dignified instigator of political changes in modern history, France always honored the revolutionary spirit, which fit perfectly with the art that emerged out of resistance. In today s time, France, and Paris especially, both enforce strict laws against vandalism and the damage of public property and monuments. A law enforced starting in 1994, determines up to 10 years in jail, with fines up to 150,000 euros for vandalism of public landmarks. • 30. John Owen s Holy Spirit JOHN OWEN S VINDICATION OF HOLY SPIRIT S DEITY AND ITS BENEFITS FOR BELIEVERS Against the Socinians, John Owen vindicated the deity of the Holy Spirit, as well as his benefits for believers, within a Christological context. The Socinians were not the only opponents Owen dealt with, but they were notorious for their anti Trinitarian views. On Owen s theological engagement, Crawford Gribben assessed the Socinian threat as a gift to Owen for drawing attention to the ambiguity of the boundaries of orthodoxy permitted by the state, and that Owen took advantage of the moral panic. While it is true that Owen produced theological works in response to Socinianism, Owen regarded Socinianism as a major threat. The same applies to other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before examining the doctrines of Socinian and those of Owen, however, it is important to consider the historical context of these theological controversies. Historical Context John Owen s Context John Owen (1616 1683) was born in Stadhampton, near Oxford, to Henry Owen, a man of Puritan sympathies. After finishing local grammar school, Owen matriculated at Queen s College, Oxford, in 1631. Owen achieved his Bachelor of Arts in 1632. He finished his Master of Arts studies in 1635 and ordained deacon. Then Owen engaged in a 7 year course for a Bachelor of Divinity. In 1642, Owen published A Display of Arminianism, the first among many of his works. Owen soon received much attention and was invited to preach before Parliament. In 1649, after the execution of Charles, Owen again preached to parliament. Here, Oliver Cromwell was present and chose Owen as his chaplain. Owen was then appointed Dean of Christ Church, Oxford, in 1651. In the following year, Owen became vice chancellor and served until 1657. As a preacher who joined Cromwell s revolution, Owen s appointment was a symbolic victory over monarchy. In other words, the new appointments to key university positions were symbolic of the wider ambitions of the Cromwellian administration. As the Oxford Reformer, as Gribben put it, Owen promoted Calvinistic piety that transcended the political and cultural division of the university. In 1651, for example, Owen outlined the qualities of Calvinistic piety when he

It is highly related to physical and chemical properties of the element because any commercial usage of this element is based on its property. Ore deposit condition Most of nickel is extracted from laterite nickel ores, which consist 60% 70% of nickel on earth. This kind of ore is formed by the chemical weathering of serpentinite and other igneous rocks. Because of this requirement of weathering, deposits are located mostly in a humid tropical environment (Figure 1). (Butt Cluzel 2013) The major end product of this weathering process will be: hematite, nickeliferous limonitic ore ((Fe,Ni)O(OH).nH2O) and nickeliferous silicate ore ((Ni,Mg)6Si4O10(OH)8). Nickeliferous limonitic ore and nickeliferous silicate ore are the two dominant types of nickel ore. (Pickles 2003) uplifted oxide rich regoliths form nickeliferous limonitic ore and nickel goes downward to saprolite and combine with silicates to form nickeliferous silicate ore. The silicate ore deposits at a greater depth than the limonitic ore. Nickeliferous limonitic ores are mostly weathered product of goethites. (Butt Cluzel 2013) For both ores nickel content of each will be around 1.5%. Nickel in the silicate ore will be more than 1.5%. (Pickles 2003) Since laterite nickel ores are from the weathering of pre existing rock, the composition of surrounding rocks, topography and climate are important factors. Usually laterite nickel ores will form on olivine rich ultramafic rocks. These rocks are the basic building blocks of nickel ores.

How Does The Corrupt Friar The Corrupt Friar Geoffrey Chaucer wrote The Canterbury Tales in the late twelfth century and was one of the first writers to communicate with the audience in an informal manner. Throughout The Canterbury Tales, he observes the pilgrims on their journey to Canterbury. The people go on the pilgrimage to honor Thomas A Becket, a martyr to those of the Catholic faith, others to socialize or to vacation. Whatever their motive might be, Chaucer provides his audience with a brief description of each individual. Among the pilgrims traveling with Chaucer, there is a friar named Hubert. Highlighting the friars corrupt practices, reflects the Catholic Church s corruption during the medieval period. A Friar acts as a symbol of the Catholic Church; therefore, his image should be one of humility and poverty. However, he presents himself as a corrupt member of the church. Chaucer writes, Accorded it, as far as he could see, / To have sick lepers for acquaintances (244 245). Considering a friar begs in order to sustain himself, he should be familiar with the other beggars in town. Since he only considers the beggars to be acquaintances, Chaucer views him as an immoral friar. Not only does he think of the sick and poor only as acquaintances, he is friendly with every tavern and barmaid in town (240 241). Chaucer presents him to be a selfish friar. By caring more for his well being than his duties as a friar, he creates the image of corruption. He also hunts for people that will

College being free means that everyone would graduate debt free and they would start helping the economy as soon as they graduate. The nervous system is divided into two main systems, the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system. The spinal cord and the brain make up the CNS. Its main job is to get the information from the body and send out instructions. The peripheral nervous system is made up of all of the nerves and the wiring. Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous System The autonomic system regulates the involuntary body functions like respiration, heartbeat, blood flow and digestion. It is further subdivided into the sympathetic nervous system which regulates your flight or fight responses, and the parasympathetic system that helps regulate various normal functions of the body, for example, sexual arousal, salivation, lacrimation (shedding tears), urination, digestion, and defecation. Functions of the parasympathetic nerves include constriction of eye pupils, increase in secretion of saliva, increased digestion, decrease in heartbeat, etc. The sympathetic nerve functions involve dilation of eye pupils, sweating, production of goose bumps, decrease in digestion, etc. One of the important nerves, the vagus nerve is divided into sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves. The sensory system is also a part of the nervous system. Sensory systems for vision, hearing, somatic sensation (touch), taste and olfaction (smell) work with the help of the sensory receptors, neural pathways and certain parts in the brain that help process sensory information. • 36. The Detection System For Aircraft Inspection Summary The sub system which was analyzed in the aircraft flaw detection system is the sensing sub system . The main function of this sub system is to determine whether the flaw detected by the scanning sub system is valid by examining it further and notify the engineers if repair work is needed and provide them with statistics of the flaw. Movement system will then be activated so that the robot marks the points where examination has been done to ensure no repetition of inspection occurs. The problem encountered with most of the sensing system for aircraft inspection is the efficiency and accuracy of it. The robot has to be designed in such a way that flaws can be detected precisely in a short period of time so that the airline companies could use it for quick and safe inspection. The best sensing method is a combination of laser scanning and ultrasonic, due to the facts that surface and in depth inspection could be carried out in a short period of time with minimum false detection and less complicated analysis of inspection results. Introduction Ever since the first plane was invented by The Wright Brothers, their invention was further improved and developed until present. Nevertheless, nothing is perfect, aviation accidents and incidents have been happening once in a while and they are happening more frequently recently. The main factors such as human error, weather, and mechanical failure have a total of 40%, contributing to the causes of fatal aviation

It is often granted to less developed countries in order to evoke governmentreforms or to stimulate economic growth. Fridman argues that nerds and geeks need to stop being ashamed of themselves. He develops these arguments by using the rhetorical strategy of parallelism, making comparisons, utilizing diction and irony. Fridman uses parallelism through his sentence structure and in the progression of the essay.
