Sales management is connected with purchasing management and inventory control to provide better
analysis of the data. The software supports controls of purchasing materials, orders, goods receipt and
payment.
INVENTORY CONTROL (IC)
The inventory control in Emfibia Limited is another important area. The company has to have
organised importation by having large numbers of inventory. Therefore, the company can start losing
the capital. This is why they require appropriate analysis with stock valuation and the movement of
the goods. Sage ERP X3 runs on similar principles to manual ones, but this software is more flexible
and it is possible to receive the information in real time. Inventory Control is closely connected with
the manufacturing management. The software uses Kanban method of Just in Time production. The
information can be grouped by cost centres, price lists. The important tool is to forecast the future
cost. When the company will prepare new production in six months time, the software can analyze the
actual cost of the production.
HUMAN RESOURCES (HR)
When company has 240 employees it needs an efficient HR Management. Emfibia Limited provides a
variety of salaries, contracts and benefits for the employees. Sage has all the important covered with
applications necessary for Personnel Management, Benefit Management, Payroll Management,

Vimy Ridge Identity
The battle of Vimy Ridge is so important to developing Canada s identity because majority of the men
who fought at Vimy were citizens of Canada, the battle was commanded by a Canadian, and Canadian
soldiers were known as shock troops. The Battle of Vimy Ridge would be the first time all four
divisions of the Canadian Corps worked together as one formation. The task fell to the Canadian army
to take the ridge. Canadian troops were Fishermen from British Columbia, prairie farmers, workers
from Ontario and Quebec, and miners from Nova Scotia prepared for battle. These men were regular
people who proved that under extreme hardship, Canadians could get the job done. For Canada it was
one of the defining events in our history where Canadian troops

Life of Prophet Jeremiah
Life and times Jeremiah was born and grew up in the village of Anathoth, a few miles northeast of
Jerusalem, in a priestly family. In his childhood he must have learned some of the traditions of his
people, particularly the prophecies of Hosea, whose influence can be seen in his early messages. The
era in which Jeremiah lived was one of transition for the ancient Near East. The Assyrian empire,
which had been dominant for two centuries, declined and fell. Its capital, Nineveh, was captured in
612 by the Babylonians and Medes. Egypt had a brief period of resurgence under the 26th dynasty
(664 525) but did not prove strong enough to establish an empire. The new world power was the Neo
Babylonian empire, ruled by a Chaldean dynasty whose best ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In the opinion of such scholars, Jeremiah began to prophesy toward the end of the reign of Josiah or at
the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim (609 598). Early in the reign of Jehoiakim, Jeremiah delivered
his famous Temple sermon, of which there are two versions, one in Jeremiah, chapter 7, verses 1 to
15, the other in chapter 26, verses 1 to 24. He denounced the people for their dependence on the
Temple for security and called on them to effect genuine ethical reform. He predicted that God would
destroy the Temple of Jerusalem, as he had earlier destroyed that of Shiloh, if they continued in their
present path. Jeremiah was immediately arrested and tried on a capital charge. He was acquitted but
may have been forbidden to preach again in the Temple. The reign of Jehoiakim was an active and
difficult period in Jeremiah s life. That king was very different from his father, the reforming Josiah,
whom Jeremiah commended for doing justice and righteousness. Jeremiah denounced Jehoiakim
harshly for his selfishness, materialism, and practice of social injustice. Near the time of the Battle of
Carchemish, in 605, when the Babylonians decisively defeated the Egyptians and the remnant of the
Assyrians, Jeremiah delivered an oracle against Egypt. Realizing that this battle made a great
difference in the world situation, Jeremiah soon dictated to his scribe, Baruch, a scroll containing all
of the messages he

Juxtaposition In Bless Me Ultima
Bright white light of the New Mexico sun bathes and protects the small town of Guadalupe. Like his
parents and older brothers before him, young Antonio struggles to find his true inner self as his parents
push two family names on him. In Anaya Rudolfo s novel Bless Me, Ultima, Antonio is ultimately a
mixture between a Marez and a Luna, as seen through the juxtaposition between the symbols of the
moon and the sea, as well as God and the Golden Carp. The moon that represents the Luna family, and
sea which connects to the Marez, are forces which push Antonio to make his final decision about
family. In the beginning, Antonio tries his hardest to please both of his parents by combining their
dissimilar ideas about his future. Although Antonio begins his life thinking he is a mixture of both
parents heritage, the juxtaposition of the symbols in the book changes his mind on that, It is the blood
of the Lunas to be quiet... They are quiet like the moon And it is the blood of the Márez to be wild,
like the ocean from which they take their name (Anaya 41). Aside from the obvious fact that the
Spanish word for moon is, in fact, Luna, that family represents the moon. The calmness of said moon
contrasts with the wild men of the sea. Maria is controlling of her family, similar to how the moon
controls the sea. Each contrasting idea propels Antonio in separate directions either towards the Luna
priests or the Marez vaqueros. Despite the fact that his mother wants to make a priest out of Antonio,
the other side of his family thinks in their own unique way, He is a Marez... His forefathers were
conquistadors, men as restless as the seas they sailed (Anaya 6). Once again, the contrary sides of
Antonio s family pull him to the sea instead of the moon. The true struggle Antonio goes through is
choosing his own destiny, even with the strong influences of both the moon and sea. Suddenly he has
a moment of realization and tells his uncle, I am Marez, ... That is right, you are a Marez first, then
Luna (Anaya 250). Even though he may think he is Marez first, he still lives with Luna blood coursing
through his veins. After all, he skipped a grade, which makes him a boy of learning. Then again, his
adoration of nature proves

How Is General Zaroff A Dynamic Character
In every story there is always a mysterious character that the author does not provide enough
information and background to the readers. This adds suspense to the story, adding more surprises and
eye opening astonishments. In the case of this short story The Most Dangerous Game, General Zaroff
is that character. He is preceded as the antagonist character that is uncivilized, cruel, and reckless.
General Zaroff plays the role of a dynamic and complex character that develops over the course of the
story. In the introductory of the character General Zaroff, one would assume that he is a civilized man
because of the fact that he is first presented as a well dressed wealthy man who lived on an island
which was owned by himself. Within General ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In his opinion, he believes in life is for the strong, to be lived by the strong, and, if needs be taken by
the strong. The weak of the world were put here to give the strong pleasure. I am strong. Why should I
not use my gift? (page 7). This proves that he views the world in a primitive fashion, believing that the
weak should suffer beneath the feet of the strong. He believes that the world is split into two. One
being greater than the other or one being more superior over the other. Due to the fact that General
Zaroff believes he is one of the strong, he assumes that he is obligated to exterminate the weak.
General Zaroff is convinced that killing humans is acceptable. He enjoys the thrill of killing humans
as he once did for tigers, hinting tigers ceased to interest me some years ago. I exhausted their
possibilities, you see. No thrill left in tigers, no real danger. I live for danger (page 5). Killing humans
instead of animals provides him pleasure and he does it for entertainment purposes because they can
reason, after a fashion (page 7). This reveals that General Zaroff does not have the same feelings
towards the values of life as others would. By that, one could assume that he does not have a clear
idea of the difference between right and

Coral Reef Airborne Laboratory Report
The COral Reef Airborne Laboratory, or CORAL, is a water mission in the biosphere that will attempt
to measure the condition of certain coral reefs and create empirical models that show the relationship
between the condition of these reefs and other factors using both field and air observations. The
biogeophysical factors being observed include biodiversity, sea surface temperature,
photosynthetically available radiation, aragonite saturation state, significant wave height, and the
threat levels of coastal development, marine pollution, overfishing, watershed pollution, and
integrated local threat (Jet Propulsion Laboratory, n.d.). CORAL will help marine biologists monitor
the condition of coral reefs and predict the future of those reefs with both field and air observation.
CORAL is currently running: field testing runs from June 6, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Field observation is then performed to validate the observations made using the spectra of light
reflected from the ocean to PRISM. This spectrum will provide a uniform picture of reef condition,
and the in situ data, or data that is not exposed to an external environment, will show if the spectrum is
accurate (Jet Propulsion Laboratory, n.d.). The nominal operational altitude for the mission is 8.5
kilometers, with a PRISM swath range at around 4.7 kilometers and ground sample distance around
7.5 meters (Jet Propulsion Laboratory, n.d.). This will allow data to be collected in a wide distance,
allowing for a high amount of data collection in a short amount of time. CORAL also hopes to
influence future use of satellites. It is a new idea to utilize satellites to observe coral reefs, and several
other groups, some American and others international, plan to launch satellites that can collect data
that, rather than just snapshots, show the way reefs change over time (Slezak,

Taking a Look at Political Ideologies
It s an understatement to say our ideology shapes the way we live our lives every day. It affects the
way we view and react to different people. Ideology is a set of beliefs that affects our outlook on the
entire world. Most of the time ideology refers to a set of political beliefs or a set of ideas that relate to
religious views. In a simpler meaning, ideology means having a views or opinions based on your ideas
of that thing.
The Republican ideology today is based on conservatism. They believe in free market economy and
the government s job is to provide for its citizens with military protection. A conservative is someone
who values the heritage that comes from the past. They believe in classical principles and tend to be
more self righteous. Conservative Republicans believe in tradition, less regulation and free enterprise.
They believe in their rights and are hard working. This is the belief that you get what you work for but
the government still helps the ones in need.
Democrats think it is the responsibility of the government to care for all individuals. Democrats are
weak compared to the rest of the political ideologies. They believe the government knows what is best
for the citizens. A Democratic liberal is where democracy uses the principles of liberalism. This
includes social and economic equality. Liberals want the government to help with the lower class and
regulate the rich to ensure they do not have too much power. Liberals do not want a completely free

Mcclosky On Being An Aetheist Analysis
In today s society there is a lot of skepticism regarding the belief in God and his existence. There has
been and will always be the question of whether or not we have a God who is all seeing and all
knowing. In the article On Being an Aetheist by H J McCloskey the existence of God is challenged
through dismissing the arguments of cosmological and teological evidence. McClosky s main
objective in the article is to give an account that if God existed then how are there so many evil and
unfathomable issues happening around the world? In the article McClosky refers to the cosmological,
theological and the argument from design as proofs and states many times that there is no definitive
case that God actually exists. By stating he establishes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He uses different acts of God to make his claim. These acts include earthquakes, and disease. He
serves the question of how someone can find comfort in the one who allowed these acts to happen.
After reading The absurdity to Life without God by William Craig, I was brought to the conclusion
that life without God would be meaningless. If there was life without God there would be no reason
for life. Atheists have created their own meaning that comforts them but they have no evidence of
their conclusions. Man cannot live without value or meaning. McClosky s claim about atheism being a
comfort is lacking explanation and evidence. I disagree with his claim because people find comfort in
different things. Finding comfort in God is a way that many people deal with

Demonology, Criminology, the Pathological Perspective, and...
Demonology, Criminology, the Pathological Perspective, and Sadism No matter what happens in our
lives, our bodies will always be surrounded or involved in numerous acts of deviance. Whether
someone acts under the influence of the devil, or if we do something to bring pleasure to ourselves,
something will be seen as deviant behavior. Whether it is caused or chosen, deviant behavior is a
regular part of life. Every deviant has logic behind his or her behavior. Whether they do it for power,
control, hatred, or anger, there is some type of reasoning for their actions. Why demonic deviants seen
as evil? Why is sadism silenced? Why is deviance looked at as a bad thing? Demonic deviance rose in

After Marvin Wolfgang s research, many see the point of the idea of the three strike system, only
severely punishing criminals after their third felony. California, who was one of the first states to
adopt this law, saw their crime rate significantly drop within a decade. Since then many other states
have adopted the same system. The theorists in today s society are deciding that we should resort to
deterrence, and rational punishment as opposed rehabilitation. We are resorting the ideas of James. Q.
Wilson, who believes that deviants know that if they re caught they will be punished. This is Wilson s
new realism (Images of Deviance and Social Control 84). Even more prevalent though, in today s
society is the pathological perspective. A large amount of medical discoveries are being made today to
help prevent, or control diseases. People are starting to become more and more comfortable with the
idea of the pathological perspective. One of the most recent findings is hyperkinesis. A child who
experiences symptoms such as hyperactivity (excessive motor activity), short attention span, and
restless or fidgety behavior is to be diseased rather than bad (Images of Deviance and Social Control
146). Even cures for small pox and polio have been discovered. Today, more and more research is
being funded in order to find the causes to deviance. The pathological perspective is the most accepted
theory for deviance today. Deviance

Christocentic Religion Vs Albigenianism Essay
Thought separated by a few centuries for when they were highly focused on, both Christocentric and
affective spirituality and Albigensianism find common ground and polar opposites between each other.
If there was one thing both views practiced and encouraged, it was the practice of asceticism. Both
beliefs practiced rigorous discipline, but more so, the practices were self harming and self deprecating.
For Albigensians, practices included starvation (f) and the encouragement of suicide (CP 16), while
those who followed affective spirituality, primarily women, would [join] with the crucifix through
physical suffering both involuntary and voluntary that is, through illness and through self

Albigensians performed these types of acts in order to [align] with the good God by freeing the soul

Pain And Neuropathic Pain
There are many types of pain and their causes depend on where they originate and what areas they
affect. Neuropathic pain originates from the nerves or the nervous system in general. The signs that
you have this kind of pain are burning and tingling. Physicians believe that conditions such as diabetes
can trigger the pain. Other conditions such as shingles and carpal tunnel syndrome may also affect the
nerves and cause pain to the patient.
Visceral pain happens only once in a while. It does not really last for a long time. however, it can be
very painful. It happens when the organs of your body are irritated. One good example of this is the

This means that you can simply manage your body to stop hurting. This type of pain management
suggests that a person can psychologically manage the pain and divert it away from the area in

If the pain that you are experiencing is chronic, then you may want to consider the use of acupuncture
for your pain management. This is one of the better management techniques that a person can use in
making sure that they are pain free. There are all sorts of myths about acupuncture, but the technique
works wonders in the management of a person s pain.
Some pain management requires a person to go through a program to learn how to manage their pain
effectively. These programs often times involve a few classes that are spread out over the course of
several weeks. These are generally focused on natural methods of pain management that do not
require medication or any other foreign substances entering the body.
The next time that you are in pain, there are two things that you can do. Either let it ruin your plans or
try one of the pain management techniques that are listed here. These will go a long way in the overall

The Iranian Revolution was the first of many popular civil insurrections that resulted in the overthrow
of an autocratic monarchy which lasted from 1977 to 1979. It consisted of non violent demonstrations
by the revolutionaries until late 1978, due to the shah s decision to violently silence demonstrators.
The shah, during the time period, was Mohammed Reza Pahlavi. He was viewed by many to be a
western puppet who implemented a variety of systems and programs that suggested westernization.

The First Woman Out Of Three
Ever since Darwin proposed the hypothesis that man and apes have common ancestry, the study of
Primatology has been a main focus in the world of science. Wether or not the scientist were studying
the relationship between ape and human or studying the basic way of life of apes, the study of
Primatology has proven to be controversial and the subject of ridicule to its early pioneering scientists.
In the past century, technology severely limited the study of primatology which means the scientist
had to resort to gorilla tactics to study apes, and go into the jungle themselves. So, scientist like Jane
Goodall, Birute Galdikas, Eugene Dubois, and Raymond Dart endured much ridicule at the time for
their groundbreaking discoveries, but still paved the way for modern day anthropologists. Scientists
current understanding of apes and their relationship to humans would not be the same today had it not
been for the valiant efforts put forth by these firsts few.
Jane Goodall is the first woman out of three, known as the Trimates, to be sent by Louis Leakey, to
study primates in their natural habitat. During her expedition, Goodall studied chimpanzees. She was
the first person in history to ever to record the way chimpanzees act in their natural habitat. She
observed them eating animals they hunted, eating other monkeys, and using tools to acquire more
food. After, announcing her major discoveries Goodall was met with criticism by other researchers

is the WORST mistake you can make. Sure, it is the largest social media network in the world, but if
you are looking for the most SEO juice and to really drive that traffic to your site then you WILL have
to use other social media networks. This includes sites such as Twitter. Do not be on too many though

Telehealth Research Paper
Telehealth refers to healthcare that does not necessarily involve any form of in person clinical
services. Telemedicine is the use of medical information substituted from one place to another through
several electronic communications to improve the health status of patients. Telehealth and
telemedicine include several services that include primary care, specialist consultations, imaging
services, distance patient monitoring, and medical education. In New York, there has been an increase
in the use of telehealth especially after the implementation of the telehealth parity law. The main
benefits of telehealth on the patient include improvement of convenience through countering
geographical barriers, enhanced access especially to people in the rural areas and reduction in time

The Key To Enlightenment In Hermann Hesse s Siddhartha
Friends fight, parents and children argue, siblings bicker and tease, but it is all worth it in the end. In
Hermann Hesse s Siddhartha, the topic of relationships versus material items comes up multiple times.
As Siddhartha searches to find enlightenment and the meaning in life, he goes through many different
trials, but nothing seems to give him pure happiness until the end of the novel. Hesse made it a point
for the reader to realize that people were not put on this world to be alone, we were made to have
relationships with others. The author also made a clear statement that happiness can not come from
material items or even having no material items at all. Creating bonds, such as Siddhartha s friendship
with Govinda and his relationship with Kamala is the key to enlightenment.
Hesse implied that good relationships with others is what allows people to find total enlightenment, or
pure happiness. As Govinda and Siddhartha prepare to part ways, Siddhartha gives a powerful speech
and says, You have heard my blessing, Govinda. I repeat it. May you travel this path to the end. May
you find salvation! . Although Siddhartha cares about Govinda and their friendship, he knows that in
order for Govinda to go far in life he must learn for himself, by himself. He easily could ve made the
selfish decision and just kept on carrying Govinda through life. But he pushed Govinda to move past
his comfort zone and to jump in with his own two feet. Later on, when Siddhartha and Govinda

Concert Review
I attended this concert at CU Denver s King Center, Concert Hall. Although the architectural design
and surrounding did not attest to much artistic creativity, the actual concert was better than my
expectations. I did have lower expectations because it was presented by students instead of
professional musicians or dancers as in my last concert review. The ensemble, a collaborative outcome
from MSU Denver and other dance/cultural music groups from denver, was actually a mix of African
and Indian/East Asian music and dance. The two teams alternated between each other giving the
audience a great deal of contrast of movement and sound. My favorite were the second and fifth
performances, African and Indian respectively.
The second performance by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They presented a story of a goddess teasing a boy with a magical ball, then throwing it into a pond
where a monster is asleep. The boy then awakens this monster trying to reach the ball. The story is
meant to encourage people to face their fears and fight for what they want. I liked how they used the
same movements when they were describing the story before starting their performance which they
later used during the dance. For example, one of the dancers showed the same throwing movement
which she later used in the performance. The dance was accompanied by an Indian chant like song
over the speakers. It had the same simplistic nature as the African music discussed above which I
again noticed that it put the focus on the dancers. They music and movement was much slower and
calmer than the Africans, which makes sense when seen in light of the Eastern Asian spiritual
philosophy of

Fashion College Application Essay Examples
At age 13, I fell in love with the world of fashion. My first glimpse of fashion was through television,
then magazines and ultimately the World Wide Web. Through the internet, I could remove myself
from my small town and see the world and what it had to offer. I knew then that if I wanted to be a
part of the fashion industry, I needed to move to New York City.
Being a southern girl from North Carolina, I was raised by a Registered Nurse (Mom) and a robbery
Detective (Father). Entering my high school freshman year with a passion for the more creative things

Comparing Poe’s Fall of the House of Usher and Taylor’s...
Edgar Allan Poe s The Fall of the House of Usher and Peter Taylor s Venus, Cupid, Folly and Time
Various authors develop their stories using gothic themes and characterizations of this type to lay the
foundation for their desired reader response. Although Edgar Allan Poe s The Fall of the House of
Usher and Peter Taylor s Venus, Cupid, Folly and Time are two completely different narratives, both
of these stories share a commonality of gothic text representations. The stories take slightly different
paths, with Poe s signifying traditional gothic literature and Taylor approaching his story in a more
contemporary manner. Gothic texts are typically characterized by a horrifying and haunting mood, in a

Just as in Poe s, this story places significance upon the appearance of the house and its surroundings.
The Dorsets host parties for each generation of children in their neighborhood. Enhancing further the
evidence of gothic style found in Taylor s story, the parents curiosity is overcome by a feeling of
horror concerning the types of events that unfold during those parties. The parties also act as points of
isolation for the children and the Dorsets. Except for the people who attend the party, no one knew the
explanation or the necessity for the annual event. The presence of curiosity and secrecy help to
support the gothic basis for this story. The grotesque and incestuous relationship that the Dorsets
sustain functions as another gothic element in the text. One of the definite obscurities in the Dorsets
house would be the hanging of various pictures, specifically Bronzino s Venus, Cupid, Folly and Time
. It is a tiny color print and described as simply being tacked on the wall, and obviously been torn
from a book or magazine (Taylor, 765). The picture could be interpreted as a family interacting and
behaving immorally, further enhancing the notion that the Dorsets do not just have a sibling
relationship but rather a more intimate connection. This print acted as a focal point of the house and
further detailed the Dorsets incestuous relationship. In the end, the Dorsets are overcome by their

The Talented Mr.Ripley
The Struggle of the Mind The Psychoanalytic Theory is a means of literary critique which provides a
framework for insightful character analysis. Its tenet is based on Sigmund Freud s structural model of
the psyche which identifies the id, the ego and the superego as the three theoretical constructs in terms
of whose activity and interaction mental life is described. According to such model, the irrational,
instinctual trends of the mind are the id; the rational, realistic part of the psyche is the ego; and its
critical and moralizing function is the superego. By applying such Freudian concepts to Tom Ripley,
the protagonist in Patricia Highsmith s The Talented Mr. Ripley, the reader is better able to understand

His common sense tells him that, ...if he only hadn t been in such a hurry and so greedy, if he only
hadn t misjudged the relationship between Dickie and Marge so stupidly, or had simply waited for
them to separate of their own volition, then none of this would have happened, and he could have
lived with Dickie for the rest of his life, travelled and lived and enjoyed living for the rest of his life.
(Highsmith 137)
Tom s ego helps him to understand that he cannot always get what he wants immediately and that if he
had compromised and waited, he might have been happier, and it is this realization that makes him
feel isolated and alone. By the end of the novel, Tom s ego resurfaces and he changes his attitude

ego are at odds with each other, his superego never fully develops for he sometimes experiences guilt

A Different Perspective On Foreign Affairs
Tony Abbott, John Howard and Kevin Rudd each have a different perspective on foreign affairs, but
there is also a common thread to their approach. In the following paper I compare and contrast a
speech made by each of them concerning foreign affairs and note the large similarity of ideology
between each of them. All speeches support a strong relationship with the United States of America
and active engagement in international affairs. I argue that they differ only in the nuance of emphasis
although there is some evidence of traditional realist and liberal approaches to international politics.
Howard concentrates on pragmatic state to state engagement for the benefit of Australians. Abbott
focuses more on building up the military and physical security. Rudd is the only one of the three to
emphasise that Australia s foreign engagement should be for the benefit of others, as well as Australia.
Overall, however, the speeches demonstrate a greater commonality of purpose and direction than they
do divergent opinions. I argue the resulting stability of foreign policy engagement benefits not only
Australia, but the rest of the world.
The first speech of the three was given by John Howard. Howard begins his speech by describing the
wide ranging help Australia is providing to foreign countries through defence force medical aid, the
electoral commission advice and treasury counselling (Howard 2004: 2 3). Howard describes the help
Australia gives abroad as practical, broad and

Essay On College Athletes Should Be Banned
Sports illustrated interviewed a cohort (group of people) of elite Olympic athletes, asking, If you were

such a small chance of success. Taking drugs to enhance your performance is just not right. Striving to

Aziz Choudry Fight Back Analysis
Beginning a new life is not easy. Migrants who yearn for refuge, hope and prosperity often select
Canada for its proudly proclaimed multicultural society given its abundance of opportunities.
However, many are left deeply disappointed. Aziz Choudry et al. endeavours to expose the stark
untold reality awaiting many Canadian migrants who long for an improved life. Fight Back;
Workplace Justice for Immigrants provides a comprehensive overview detailing the endless
adversities surrounding employment, social discrimination and exploitation, vividly accented by the
very migrants battling at the forefront.
Fight Back commences with a broad historical analysis examining the implications of unscrupulous
neoliberal tactics. Neo liberalism, defined by the author as the underlying backbone of intensified
political policies on multiculturalism, employment, and immigration coupled with increasing
privatization is largely to blame for the rise of precarious work in Canada. The author theorizes a

Evaluating the effectiveness of a professional development workshop to increase school counselors

As a school counselor and a student of educational technology, I was both empathetic and frustrated
by the results. I believe heavily in a data driven school counseling program and the effect that it has on
student achievement and school accountability. I would have loved the idea that an accessible data
program would encourage school counselors to develop comprehensive counseling programs,
however, I absolutely appreciate the lack of time and limited technological knowledge that led to
failure of the program to sustain interest. Increasing professional development and access to the
technology can only go so far without the ability to use it. I thought it was interesting that there was an
anomaly in one school because the counselor supervisor had initiated a data driven goal for their
counselors. To me, this is where the school needs and the counselor needs should focus attention. If
the school administration is fundamentally involved in also seeing that the school counselor be data
driven, then the use of technology will most certainly be employed. School counselors today have
been overwhelmed with many tasks that draw from their time spent on direct student services.
However, school administration that advocates for the availably and education of school counselors to
utilize technology to evaluate student data has the ability to make that process more attainable.
Fundamentally the school directive has to be instrumental in connecting the two for the accountability

Recruiting Challenges in the Public Sector
December 22, 2008
Final Project: Recruiting Challenges in the Public Sector There are rules, regulations and ordinances
that all guide the recruiting process in the public sector; however, in my opinion these challenges just
interfere with a governmental agencies ability to hire the best and most qualified new employees. As
an example, a couple of the solutions that I think will help the public sector s recruiting process are 1)
making the application process more simplistic, 2) targeting younger workers by working with
universities and colleges and 3) developing a workforce strategy. The public sector has a lot ... Show

When it comes to recruiting in the private sector, there are a few guidelines that you might reference
here and there, but by and large recruiting is done without interference. The process seems fairly
simple; you develop a job description, establish a salary structure and place an advertisement. There
are no testing requirements or mandates that you need to satisfy to be able to hire a new employee.
Along with this the time it takes to recruit someone in the private sector takes only as long as it takes
to get a qualified applicant to apply for a position and interview for the job. Interviewing is straight
forward and although an applicant might go through two or three interviews, before being offered the
position, there is no one outside the organization telling the organization how to recruit and how to
hire a qualified applicant. Recruiting in the public sector is so much more complex than it is in the
private sector. In the public sector many positions have testing requirements built into them. This
means that you must test the candidates that meet the minimum qualifications, which at times means
you test over 100 people with some positions, and with some positions within the Fire and Police
Departments; this means that there could be well over 1,000 applicants to test. The testing process
various by positions, for

Importance Of The 1st Amendment
In total, America has 27 Amendments all together but which one is the most important you may ask,
well that s was this is about. I believe that the 1st Amendment is the most important out of them all .
The 1st Amendment is freedom of Religion, Speech, Press, Assembly, and Petition. Freedom of
religion and speech are one of the best things a country can have and also something everyone
believes they should have. Everyone should be able to say or do anything they want without fear. Also
freedom of press is the right to publish newspapers, magazines, and other printed matter without
governmental restriction and subject only to the laws of libel, obscenity, sedition, etc. (
www.dictionary.com) . Freedom of Assembly is The right to hold public meetings and form
associations without interference by the government. Freedom of peaceful assembly is guaranteed by
the First Amendment to the Constitution.
Last but not least is Freedom of Petition According to ( The Free Dictionary , 2017) a formal written
request to a court for an order of the court. It is distinguished from a complaint in a lawsuit which asks
for damages and/or performance by the opposing party. Petitions include demands for writs, orders to
show cause, modifications of prior orders, continuances, dismissal of a case, reduction of bail in
criminal cases, a decree of distribution of an estate, appointment of a guardian, and a host of other
matters arising in legal actions.

Free College Debate Analysis
Throughout the 2016 presidential debate, the issue of free college has been a discussion between the
democratic candidates. This is a very controversial topic. Senator Bernie Sanders plans on eliminating
tuition fees at public colleges, and Hilary Clinton favors increasing student aid. Attending a university
is a privilege which many are not able to afford. Many of my friends were not able to go to college
because of the hefty price tags that come along with higher education.
Every year the tuition of attending a university grows significantly. Those who are not able to pay the
fees, decided on another alternative which is to go straight to work after high school or enroll in the
military. In theory, free college seems like a magnificent idea because people from both part of the
spectrum would receive aid to attend the university. For millions of families, their children would be

students will not value their education. If there is a free college, there will be an abundance of highly

it is, imagine if everyone had a bachelor s degree? Now a days, even a bachelor s degree does not

  • 6. Life of Prophet Jeremiah Life and times Jeremiah was born and grew up in the village of Anathoth, a few miles northeast of Jerusalem, in a priestly family. In his childhood he must have learned some of the traditions of his people, particularly the prophecies of Hosea, whose influence can be seen in his early messages. The era in which Jeremiah lived was one of transition for the ancient Near East. The Assyrian empire, which had been dominant for two centuries, declined and fell. Its capital, Nineveh, was captured in 612 by the Babylonians and Medes. Egypt had a brief period of resurgence under the 26th dynasty (664 525) but did not prove strong enough to establish an empire. The new world power was the Neo Babylonian empire, ruled by a Chaldean dynasty whose best ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the opinion of such scholars, Jeremiah began to prophesy toward the end of the reign of Josiah or at the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim (609 598). Early in the reign of Jehoiakim, Jeremiah delivered his famous Temple sermon, of which there are two versions, one in Jeremiah, chapter 7, verses 1 to 15, the other in chapter 26, verses 1 to 24. He denounced the people for their dependence on the Temple for security and called on them to effect genuine ethical reform. He predicted that God would destroy the Temple of Jerusalem, as he had earlier destroyed that of Shiloh, if they continued in their present path. Jeremiah was immediately arrested and tried on a capital charge. He was acquitted but may have been forbidden to preach again in the Temple. The reign of Jehoiakim was an active and difficult period in Jeremiah s life. That king was very different from his father, the reforming Josiah, whom Jeremiah commended for doing justice and righteousness. Jeremiah denounced Jehoiakim harshly for his selfishness, materialism, and practice of social injustice. Near the time of the Battle of Carchemish, in 605, when the Babylonians decisively defeated the Egyptians and the remnant of the Assyrians, Jeremiah delivered an oracle against Egypt. Realizing that this battle made a great difference in the world situation, Jeremiah soon dictated to his scribe, Baruch, a scroll containing all of the messages he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Juxtaposition In Bless Me Ultima Bright white light of the New Mexico sun bathes and protects the small town of Guadalupe. Like his parents and older brothers before him, young Antonio struggles to find his true inner self as his parents push two family names on him. In Anaya Rudolfo s novel Bless Me, Ultima, Antonio is ultimately a mixture between a Marez and a Luna, as seen through the juxtaposition between the symbols of the moon and the sea, as well as God and the Golden Carp. The moon that represents the Luna family, and sea which connects to the Marez, are forces which push Antonio to make his final decision about family. In the beginning, Antonio tries his hardest to please both of his parents by combining their dissimilar ideas about his future. Although Antonio begins his life thinking he is a mixture of both parents heritage, the juxtaposition of the symbols in the book changes his mind on that, It is the blood of the Lunas to be quiet... They are quiet like the moon And it is the blood of the Márez to be wild, like the ocean from which they take their name (Anaya 41). Aside from the obvious fact that the Spanish word for moon is, in fact, Luna, that family represents the moon. The calmness of said moon contrasts with the wild men of the sea. Maria is controlling of her family, similar to how the moon controls the sea. Each contrasting idea propels Antonio in separate directions either towards the Luna priests or the Marez vaqueros. Despite the fact that his mother wants to make a priest out of Antonio, the other side of his family thinks in their own unique way, He is a Marez... His forefathers were conquistadors, men as restless as the seas they sailed (Anaya 6). Once again, the contrary sides of Antonio s family pull him to the sea instead of the moon. The true struggle Antonio goes through is choosing his own destiny, even with the strong influences of both the moon and sea. Suddenly he has a moment of realization and tells his uncle, I am Marez, ... That is right, you are a Marez first, then Luna (Anaya 250). The weak of the world were put here to give the strong pleasure. I am strong. Why should I not use my gift? (page 7). This proves that he views the world in a primitive fashion, believing that the weak should suffer beneath the feet of the strong. He believes that the world is split into two. One being greater than the other or one being more superior over the other. Due to the fact that General Zaroff believes he is one of the strong, he assumes that he is obligated to exterminate the weak. General Zaroff is convinced that killing humans is acceptable. He enjoys the thrill of killing humans as he once did for tigers, hinting tigers ceased to interest me some years ago. I exhausted their possibilities, you see. No thrill left in tigers, no real danger. I live for danger (page 5). Killing humans instead of animals provides him pleasure and he does it for entertainment purposes because they can reason, after a fashion (page 7). Ideology is a set of beliefs that affects our outlook on the entire world. Most of the time ideology refers to a set of political beliefs or a set of ideas that relate to religious views. In a simpler meaning, ideology means having a views or opinions based on your ideas of that thing. The Republican ideology today is based on conservatism. They believe in free market economy and the government s job is to provide for its citizens with military protection. A conservative is someone who values the heritage that comes from the past. They believe in classical principles and tend to be more self righteous. Conservative Republicans believe in tradition, less regulation and free enterprise. They believe in their rights and are hard working. This is the belief that you get what you work for but the government still helps the ones in need. Democrats think it is the responsibility of the government to care for all individuals. Democrats are weak compared to the rest of the political ideologies. They believe the government knows what is best for the citizens. A Democratic liberal is where democracy uses the principles of liberalism. This includes social and economic equality. In Hermann Hesse s Siddhartha, the topic of relationships versus material items comes up multiple times. As Siddhartha searches to find enlightenment and the meaning in life, he goes through many different trials, but nothing seems to give him pure happiness until the end of the novel. Hesse made it a point for the reader to realize that people were not put on this world to be alone, we were made to have relationships with others. The author also made a clear statement that happiness can not come from material items or even having no material items at all. Creating bonds, such as Siddhartha s friendship with Govinda and his relationship with Kamala is the key to enlightenment. • 29. A Different Perspective On Foreign Affairs Tony Abbott, John Howard and Kevin Rudd each have a different perspective on foreign affairs, but there is also a common thread to their approach. In the following paper I compare and contrast a speech made by each of them concerning foreign affairs and note the large similarity of ideology between each of them. All speeches support a strong relationship with the United States of America and active engagement in international affairs. I argue that they differ only in the nuance of emphasis although there is some evidence of traditional realist and liberal approaches to international politics. Howard concentrates on pragmatic state to state engagement for the benefit of Australians. Abbott focuses more on building up the military and physical security. Rudd is the only one of the three to emphasise that Australia s foreign engagement should be for the benefit of others, as well as Australia. Overall, however, the speeches demonstrate a greater commonality of purpose and direction than they do divergent opinions. I argue the resulting stability of foreign policy engagement benefits not only Australia, but the rest of the world. The first speech of the three was given by John Howard. Howard begins his speech by describing the wide ranging help Australia is providing to foreign countries through defence force medical aid, the electoral commission advice and treasury counselling (Howard 2004: 2 3). Howard describes the help Australia gives abroad as practical, broad and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Migrants who yearn for refuge, hope and prosperity often select Canada for its proudly proclaimed multicultural society given its abundance of opportunities. However, many are left deeply disappointed. Aziz Choudry et al. endeavours to expose the stark untold reality awaiting many Canadian migrants who long for an improved life. Fight Back; Workplace Justice for Immigrants provides a comprehensive overview detailing the endless adversities surrounding employment, social discrimination and exploitation, vividly accented by the very migrants battling at the forefront. Fight Back commences with a broad historical analysis examining the implications of unscrupulous neoliberal tactics. Neo liberalism, defined by the author as the underlying backbone of intensified political policies on multiculturalism, employment, and immigration coupled with increasing privatization is largely to blame for the rise of precarious work in Canada. School Counselor Evaluation Evaluating the effectiveness of a professional development workshop to increase school counselors use of data: The role of technology (2009) examined the effectiveness of four variations of a workshop designed to improve school counselors data use skills. The workshops were designed to vary along two dimensions; the amount of conceptual knowledge participants were exposed to, and the amount of a technology application (EZAnalyze) participants were exposed to (Poynton, 2009). The study consisted of 144 participants split into four different groups. Group one simply received training on the development of data driven counseling programs. As a school counselor and a student of educational technology, I was both empathetic and frustrated by the results. I believe heavily in a data driven school counseling program and the effect that it has on student achievement and school accountability. I would have loved the idea that an accessible data program would encourage school counselors to develop comprehensive counseling programs, however, I absolutely appreciate the lack of time and limited technological knowledge that led to failure of the program to sustain interest. Increasing professional development and access to the technology can only go so far without the ability to use it. I thought it was interesting that there was an anomaly in one school because the counselor supervisor had initiated a data driven goal for their counselors. To me, this is where the school needs and the counselor needs should focus attention. If the school administration is fundamentally involved in also seeing that the school counselor be data driven, then the use of technology will most certainly be employed. School counselors today have been overwhelmed with many tasks that draw from their time spent on direct student services. However, school administration that advocates for the availably and education of school counselors to utilize technology to evaluate student data has the ability to make that process more attainable. Fundamentally the school directive has to be instrumental in connecting the two for the accountability of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Recruiting Challenges in the Public Sector Essay Jennifer Gabbard Management Communications with Technology Tools Recruiting Challenges in the Public Sector December 22, 2008 Final Project: Recruiting Challenges in the Public Sector There are rules, regulations and ordinances that all guide the recruiting process in the public sector; however, in my opinion these challenges just interfere with a governmental agencies ability to hire the best and most qualified new employees. As an example, a couple of the solutions that I think will help the public sector s recruiting process are 1) making the application process more simplistic, 2) targeting younger workers by working with universities and colleges and 3) developing a workforce strategy. The public sector has a lot ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When it comes to recruiting in the private sector, there are a few guidelines that you might reference here and there, but by and large recruiting is done without interference. The process seems fairly simple; you develop a job description, establish a salary structure and place an advertisement. There are no testing requirements or mandates that you need to satisfy to be able to hire a new employee. Along with this the time it takes to recruit someone in the private sector takes only as long as it takes to get a qualified applicant to apply for a position and interview for the job. Interviewing is straight forward and although an applicant might go through two or three interviews, before being offered the position, there is no one outside the organization telling the organization how to recruit and how to hire a qualified applicant. Recruiting in the public sector is so much more complex than it is in the private sector. In the public sector many positions have testing requirements built into them. This means that you must test the candidates that meet the minimum qualifications, which at times means you test over 100 people with some positions, and with some positions within the Fire and Police Departments; this means that there could be well over 1,000 applicants to test. The testing process various by positions, for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I believe that the 1st Amendment is the most important out of them all . The 1st Amendment is freedom of Religion, Speech, Press, Assembly, and Petition. Everyone should be able to say or do anything they want without fear. Also freedom of press is the right to publish newspapers, magazines, and other printed matter without governmental restriction and subject only to the laws of libel, obscenity, sedition, etc. ( www.dictionary.com) . Freedom of Assembly is The right to hold public meetings and form associations without interference by the government. • 37. Free College Debate Analysis Throughout the 2016 presidential debate, the issue of free college has been a discussion between the democratic candidates. This is a very controversial topic. Senator Bernie Sanders plans on eliminating tuition fees at public colleges, and Hilary Clinton favors increasing student aid. Attending a university is a privilege which many are not able to afford. Many of my friends were not able to go to college because of the hefty price tags that come along with higher education. Every year the tuition of attending a university grows significantly. Those who are not able to pay the fees, decided on another alternative which is to go straight to work after high school or enroll in the military. In theory, free college seems like a magnificent idea because people from both part of the spectrum would receive aid to attend the university.
