Persuasive Essay On Iran Nuclear War
Quinton Lewis
Professor. M. Uralrith M.Ed.
English Composition 1
Research Paper Rough Draft
11/9/15
Iran Nuclear Deal Would you let a country who in the past has used chemical weapons against its
neighboring countries to have a nuclear weapon? In 2014, a deal was put in place to let Iran
produce nuclear energy. Iran should not be trusted with this sort of ability, because they are a
dangerous country that has used chemical weapons against its neighboring countries. Also, Iran is
planning on making nuclear weapons and if we are to let them make nuclear weapons the United
States will be in danger. The United States should not allow Iran to have nuclear energy due to
their past of lying, their desire to make Nuclear weapons, and the dangers ... Show more content on

The United States and Israel would be in danger. In my opinion if a country is willing to use
chemical weapons during war and threaten to destroy an entire country and commit genocide,
they should not be allowed to have any sort of nuclear power at all. The supreme leader even
said on a live broad cast that we had watched my senior year that said Death to America . It is
said that history repeats its self, what is happening now happened in 1938 when Prime Minister
Neville Chamberlain went to speak with Adolf Hitler about negotiation. The prime minister left
there thinking that Hitler s promises for peace were in good faith in exchange for Germanys
annex large parts of Czechoslovakia The Nazi regime was a police state and Iran is a police
state. The Nazis aim was to kill all the Jews in Europe and Iran s aim is to destroy Israel. The
Nazis hated America and what it stands for and so does Iran. The alternative to this agreement
was continuing and tightening the sanctions they were weakening the Iranian regime and greatly
breaking down its abilities to fund terror groups. Also, the stronger Iran gets the more money they
make means the more they will try and expand. The Iranian regime is a bunch of religious
fanatics who are morally from ISIS, Al Qaeda Boko haram and all the other terrorist groups. Iran is
the second highest country with executions right behind china. Iran is already one of the biggest
funders to terrorist groups so just imagine what they can do with another $150,000,000,000.
Imagine what it will do with the removal of the current weapons and missile embargo. Or the
nuclear infrastructure with this deal it will do every single

Sex Trafficking Is The Violation Of Human Rights
Good Luck Sex trafficking is the violation of human rights: equality, health, and dignity. Today
ninety six percent of victims of sexual exploitation are women and girls. (Shared Hope
International) There is an extensive debate on how women are viewed as an object rather than
an actual human being. The portrayal of women today is sickening. Women are shown as a sex
object to men rather than a person. In this horrific act of self destruction, women are exposed to
sexual performance in trade off to the buyer or much known as a sex trafficker, for money, drugs,
and or values of life. Traffickers trap women, child, or even men into guarantee relationships, gifts,
and other false promises. This is known as a Commercial Sex Act. Women who are involved in
human traffickinghave their complete existence taken from them. Most victims that are involved
in sex trafficking do not have a peaceful ending. Sex and human trafficking is a prime example of
how our society over sexualizes women. The whole academic of human trafficking shows that
women are stigmatized as weak individuals. It is mainly from how they are treated, many are
known know as a Sex Slave after the entertainment from the traffickers has been done. The results
of human trafficking are degrading to the women in society. It may be known as prostitution but
what some people do not understand or care for, it is a Federal Law identified as Sex trafficking.
Human trafficking not only happens in the United States of American but all parts of this alarming
world. This form of slaverydenies the freedom to 20.9 million human beings in the world around
us. (Polaris) Taken uses two clueless American teenagers, Maggie Grace (Kim) and Katie Cassidy
(Amanda), who certainly have no knowledge about leaving the United States, alone. This is
another factor of how women are portrayed as unstainable objects. Hours into their educational
vacation the girls intended to have, someone had a change of plans for them. While waiting for
their arrival at the hotel, the two teenager show their American courtesy by sharing a cab with this
foreigner. Their lives were in the home stretch of being taking advantage. Aside from that, the father
of Kim is a retired

Criminal Justice Programs In The 1980 s
The United States Criminal Justice System and its policies have subtly changed during the past
century however, there is one policy implemented in the late 1960 s and more intensely enforced in
the 1980 s that many think to be unconstitutional. The police history within the realm of the
American Judicial system has been filled with a need to adapt and reform to new challenges when
it comes to preventing crime. If we think about the 1980s, cops were allowed to stop someone
based on reasonable suspicion and beyond a reasonable doubt, and this is still allowed today under
justification. This is part of their job. PoliceOfficers have the ultimate power to prevent crimes,
through arrests, use of physical force, enforcing the laws, and to stop

Bal Gangadhar Tilak
Lokmanya Tilak was born at Chummakachu Lane (Ranjani Aaleea) in Chikhalgaon, Ratnagiri,
Maharashtra to a Chitpavan Brahmin family. His father, Mr.Gangadhar Tilak was a famous
schoolteacher and a Sanskrit scholar. Bal Gangadhar Tilak was a bright child and very good at
mathematics. The problems the teacher gave to work our on paper, Bal would do them
mentally and give the answer. He also had a sense of fairness and justice from very early age. He
was very independent minded and did not falter at expressing his opinions. One day the teacher
came to class and found peanut shells on the ground. Who ate peanuts in the class and create this
mess? asked the teacher. No one came forward. Well, if no one wants to come forward, the whole

Tilak wrote a scathing article in his newspaper and quoted Gita no blame could be attached to
anyone who killed an oppressor without any thought of reward . Following this, on 22 June,
Rand and another British officer Lt. Ayerst were shot and killed by the Chapekar brothers and
their other associates. Tilak was charged with incitement to murder and sentenced to 18 months
imprisonment. When he emerged from prison, he was revered as a martyr and a national hero
and adopted a new slogan, Swaraj (Self Rule) is my birth right and I shall have it with which he
roused a sleeping nation to action, making Indian people aware of their plight under a foreign
rule. Eventually Tilak was jailed by the British for his seditious writings. This imprisonment did
not dampen Tilak s enthusiasm and the fire of patriotism kindled by him began to burn more and
more fiercely. By that time he was the unquestioned leader of the Indians the uncrowned king.
Thus he was known as the Tilak Maharaj and his many admirers also named him Lokmanya,
which means admired by the people. But it s important to note that Lokmanya Tilak was not just a
revolutionary, he was a great scholar as well. Besides his radical political activities, Tilak was very
much interested in Indian history and culture. Because he was an Indian nationalist, Tilak was
particularly interested in the ancient sacred literature The Vedas as the earliest document of the
Aryan Hindus and the oldest writings in the

Rent Crash Trucks
In the road construction business, safety is important, and crash trucks can help greatly with this.
This does not mean that your road construction company needs to go out and buy crash trucks
right away, however. Instead, you can consider renting them. These are a few reasons why this
can be a better choice. 1. Rent Crash Trucks That are Convenient to Your Work Location If your
road construction company does work all over the state or even in other states, you might find that
transporting all of your equipment is a hassle. One thing that you can avoid transporting is your
crash trucks. If you rent them, you can rent from a convenient location from where you will be
working. This can eliminate some of the hassle. 2. Ensure You Have the Right

Homosexuality Is Unnatural
I will argue in support of the statement that homosexuality is not unnatural in any morally
objectionable way. My argument will be backed by evidence and support by John Corvino. With aid
from Burton Leiser, a professor of philosophy at Pace University, Corvino examines several possible
interpretations of the term unnatural to acknowledge and negate different arguments commonly
posed against homosexuality. The five meanings of the term unnatural that Corvino investigates are
what is unusual or abnormal is unnatural, what is not practiced by other animals is unnatural, what
does not proceed from innate desires is unnatural, what violates an organ s principle purpose is
unnatural, and what is disgusting or offensive is unnatural ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net
...
This idea possibly stems from the common belief that homosexual sex does not result in procreation
(Corvino 6). This proposition assumes that a human s organs each have a singular, principle
purpose for human survival. To counter this premise, Leiser points out that the primary function of
an organ may easily vary upon the owner s needs and desires (Gruen and Panichas 50). Corvino s
perfect example of an organ with multiple purposes is the mouth. A human s mouth is used for
many different functions; eating, breathing, speaking, laughing, and kissing. Another good example
is the human ears they were not intended to hold up glasses, yet they serve to do so anyway, despite
not being their primary function. Corvino also mentions that while someone may go through a list
of an organ s multiple functions and state that some are unnatural but not immoral, they have not
made a clear enough definition of the term natural for this argument (6). It could be said that while
sexual organs can be used for procreation, they can also be used for pleasure, expressing love and
desire, and enhancing an established relationship. Those who agree with this argument and believe
that procreation is the primary, natural purpose of sexual organs should also be against
contraception and masturbation, as these do not factor into procreation, deeming them, by their own

Why Dogs Should Not Be Judged
Imagine a world where people were based off their race, family, religion or whatever makes them
different.Imagine a world that bases you off of that information and bans you from somewhere or
something just because of a stereotype.I know this might sound strange but instead of people
replace those with dogs and instead of raceor religion its breeds. Dangerous dogbreeds such as pit
bulls, rottweilers, and even german shepherds have been suffering from these stereotypes because
people believe they are too treacherous to live in the same place as them.I believe that these
Treacherous dog breeds should not be judged because on most occasion it is the owner who
trained them to be aggressive or to protect and they were breed to be family dogs but that all
changed when people started using them for wrong.
These dangerous dog breeds have been judged and banned from some
apartments, neighborhoods, cities, states and even some countries. As a famous dog trainer once said

The Impact Of Online Activism On Hong Kong
Online activism is increasingly advocated in many modern societies by allowing activists to
instantly spread and deliver information to a broader audience. In the digital age, activists can
easily raise awareness, share videos and opinions through various online platforms. This new
phenomenon of activism driven by media technologies has been widely used in Hong Kongto retain
human rights, protesting for more autonomy and democracy. Given the ability of online activism to
raise awareness and rally support for different political or social movements, it places great
challenge for the Hong Kong and Mainland Chinese authorities to keep their power intact.

To answer these questions, this paper argues that online activism can be successful in mobilizing
supporters together, but not necessarily effective in achieving the desired outcome due political
boundaries. This paper is divided into five main parts: part one introduces the theoretical
framework of activism and the use of media technologies to support for human rights. Part two
explores how a unique Hong Kong identity was created during the years as a British colony and
examines the degree of democracy in Hong Kong after the handover of sovereignty in 1997. Part
three uses case studies of the July 1 protest and the Umbrella Movement in Hong Kong to illustrate
the use of media in convening for supporters. Part four evaluates the effectiveness of using online
activism to pursue social and political changes as demonstrated in the two case studies. Finally, this
paper examines the responses from government authorities in tackling Internet activism and how
some are deemed to violate basic human rights.
Activism has always been present throughout history whilst using digital platforms have further
drive it to a next level. Activism is the ability to act, influence or even change the course of history.
Societies today did not become the way it is naturally, rather, it is shaped by historical events and is
constantly changing in response to the stances and actions of the citizens. Activism entails the
actions of promoting, impeding government policies or social issues

the shareholders, managers, and employees. The current situation has caused a dilemma that
affects all stakeholders equally. When the business is at risk, everyone involved should be
concerned about the future of the organization. However, the responsibility falls to the senior
leaders of the organization to solve the current issues. However, holding 80% of the company s
stocks is concerned not only about the organizations current issues but also with the value of his
investment, as he gets closer to retirement. This creates an ethical dilemma due to his personal
finances and retirement being directly affected by the company s performance. In addition, the
CEO believes that the status of the organization is not as bad as some of the senior leadership team
would say. The shareholders interest is purely profit. The impact of how Huffman Trucking runs the
business and implements change has a direct reflection on the company s image. The company s

leadership team is concerned with losing some of the key players in the research and development,

The Beliefs Of Judaism, Zionism And Judaism
There will always be differences in religion, history has shown us that. No one can ever be truly
correct; someone will always interject or disagree and there will always be conflict when it comes
to religions. Whether it comes down to debates, or even wars have been fought because of
difference in religion. One religion in particular follow the same doctrine, but have different views
on it, and that religion is Judaism. In Judaism, there are the secular Zionistic Jews and then there
are True Torah Jews. Both believe in the same thing, but the way they carry it out is very different.
The first question is, where did Zionismcome from and how did it become popular? Zionism all
started with a man name Theodore Herzl about one hundred years ago, and he got the great idea of
starting a movement of taking the sacred True Torah Judaism and changing it a little bit. He
wanted to start a branch of the religion and make it more secular, by not studying the Torah, and
making Judaism more territorial by thinking that this religion should be in one area and that is
modern day Jerusalem, or Israel. Instead of being like most religions where they want to spread
the word and go out and convert others into what they believe. Zionist think that they should cut
everyone off and go back to the promise land. Laura Wharton, of the Jerusalem City Council,
wrote about Zionism and said Theodor Herzl s vision was of Israel as a haven for the Jewish
people (p75). Laura touched base on Theodor did

Herpevac Trial Essay
The Herpevac trial was a randomized, double blind study done by Belshe et. al (2012) was
conducted on HSV 1 and HSV 2 seronegative women. The trial consisted of a HSV 2 vaccine
(GlaxoSmithKline) containing a glycoprotein D from the virus verses an inactivated hepatitis A

other HSV 2 vaccinetests among discordinant couples. The Herpevac vaccine was inept against the

against HSV 1 and HSV 2, the vaccine did provide some protection against infection. However,
this protective effect was observed mainly with HSV 1, not with HSV 2. HSV 2 antibodies were
detected after the second dose of the vaccine, but fell to undetectable levels by the 6 month of the
study. A third dose was administered; the levels were detectable again, but fell soon to undetectable
ranges soon after. Another study done by Delgrave et. al (2012) studied the efficacy of using

My First Season Of Recreational Soccer
It all began back when I was three years old at my first season of recreational soccer. The YMCA
was where the love and passion for soccer started. I later moved to the big leagues of Big Sun
recreational soccer to me it was like the professional league. I met the best coach ever, Coach
Judd Davis. He inspired me to be the bomb.com player and introduced me to competitive soccer.
So that next year I played on a U12 team as a fourth grader. When I made this team it was at that
moment my dream to play professionally was born. I worked harder than anyone on my team
and tried to soak up as much knowledge about the game there was told to me. My parents helped
me along the way by continuously encouraging me throughout difficult times. So I thought I was
ready to take on harder challenges. After for playing on the Ocala Lightning for two years, in
2013, I went to try out for the Olympic Development Program (O.D.P) or the Florida state team.
I felt excited and ready to be beast at this try out. The try out was near the Space Coast so it was a
little bit of a drive. As we were driving I was worried, nervous, and filled with the jitters like I am
on ITBS days. Finally the moment came where I had to face the try outs by myself because I
knew absolutely no one there (except my parents). I went to get my number so the Coaches could
evaluate the players. I was so timid that weekend I spoke to other players and coaches about five
times, that s it. The try out was two days of hard work and I

The Time Traveller, By H. G. Wells
The Time Traveller, a novel written by H.G. Wells, tells the story of a Time Traveller who creates
his own time machine to travel into the future. The future we know nothing about. What does the
future hold for the evolution of humans? Will we still be in the human form? Will we still live
above ground? Will we be passive or aggressive? The TimeTraveller took these questions into a
great thought process, explored the future and was amazed at his findings.
The time traveller steps into the time machine, pulls the two levers and prays to see where the time
machine will take him. The machine spins, the time goes by and when it lands, the door opens
and the time traveler sees a whole new world. Upon arriving in the future, he sees many
disturbing things. The world is dilapidated, the life forms are very odd and he is very uneasy
with the changes that have become. The place had been covered with earthly green shrubs and
little people. Very small in nature and size and very fragile. He has met the Eloi. They are very

As he drops on the ground, he asks himself if the others were able to get away. He s assuming
Touka and the group are safe (which he can t really be sure of, even though he s sorta correct). He

Hide comes in (his mind) to stop him from his tracks. He mentions how suicide by drowning is
famous. As said in the translator notes, it has something to do with one of Kafka s short stories but
actually there s another source that could be referenced. That is the famous Japanese literature
author Dazai Osamu, when he died by drowning himself.

s work. It means that someone has finally been reborn. It was also mentioned back in part 1 when
Kaneki fought Nishiki for the first time. It s also the one behind why the this chapter s title is K s
Egg. The K most likely refers to our main protagonist, Kaneki Ken.
While we re at it, there s actually an extensive meaning to it. The full quote reads The bird fights
its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born must first destroy a world. The
bird flies to God. That God s name was Abraxas.
Abraxas is designated as the power above all. Pretty much praised as the first ruler. It s also said
that he is both an Egyptian and a demon. I guess that pretty much says a lot already. Also, Abraxas
looks a bit like Kaneki s recent kakuja. A bird like figure.
Almost forgot to mention his hair. It s finally white again! Don t think it really suddenly turned

Development Of Symphonies And Their Composers
Development of Symphonies and Their Composers Early eighteenth century the term symphony
was applied to the instrumental preludes and postludes of vocal pieces such as arias and songs. By
derivation the word means simply a music ensemble . Today, we apply the term to a much larger
composition such as an orchestra(typically in three or four movements). The symphonycan also be
defined as a sonata for orchestra. Symphonies of the earlier era, the classical era, were mostly
simpler, and followed a smaller scale. Later, during the romantic era, the symphony had grown in
number and length of the movements, the instruments used to increase not only in quantity but in
quality. There was also a wider dynamic range due to the variety in instruments played. Of the
seventeenth century, the term symphony originated from the word Sinfonia , which was used for
introductory movements for operas, oratorios and cantatas. Today, the symphony is generally
regarded as the highest type of instrumental music. Beginning in the eighteenth century, the first
symphonies were intensely developed. Music had three parts: fast, slow, fast, and eventually
became dance like fast. This form became popular in Italy, but then spread to Germany and
England. That s why most music terms are written in Italian. The first movement of the Sinfonia
received little to no attention, it merely served as a cover to the entrance of the people arriving late.
The second movement gave contrast with lyrical melody,

nursing and related values, and my visions for the future.
The Nursing Choice Nursing came in a round about way for me. I had little direction when I
graduated high school and had already disregarded the nursing field due to an incident with a
family member (who was a nurse) that had left a negative impression about the nursing field on me.

Care enough to listen, to do a thorough job at all you do whether it be assessing, documenting or
routine patient care. Care enough to see beyond the chief complaint and think about what may be
the root cause of the patients symptoms. Care enough to be ethical at all times and to complete
invasive and potentially embarrassing procedures with as much empathy and compassion as
possible. Care enough to connect to and treat your patient and their families and visitors with
respect and dignity. Do everything in your power to provide the most suitable environment and
emotional tone for the patient, and care enough to strive for the best possible outcome for the
patient, both in the hospital and beyond, advocating for the patient when necessary. Even by
definition the word care can be applied to different aspects of nursing. According to The Oxford
Pocket Dictionary of Current English (2009), among the meanings of the word care are:
1. The provision of what is necessary for the health, welfare, maintenance, and protection of
someone or something.
2.Serious attention or consideration applied to doing something correctly or to avoid damage or risk.
3.Feel concern or interest; attach importance to something. Upon reading about the different
nursing philosophies and the ANA Code of Ethics, I found that this core value, my perceived
essence of nursing, is supported by both historical and ethical factors. Jean Watson s entire

Workers were forced to work non stop with only five hours of rest between work days. During the
evenings, they were forced to attend lectures and demonstrations outlining the ways the revolution
was enriching their lives. They broke up families and told the citizens that the only thing they
needed to concern themselves with was the revolution. Because such a forced change in public
policy rarely comes about smoothly, the Khmer Rouge set up barbaric tactics to maintain control of
their people (Sharp). In 1976, after massacring hundreds of thousands of former government
officials and supporters of the previous government, the Khmer Rouge began purging their own
ranks. They utilized brutal tactics such as, the victory pole where four people would be tied
together, their backs to the pole, facing opposite directions. Then a guard would shoot one in the
head covering the others in blood and brains. (Dunlop 87). They converted city schools into prisons
and arrested people for any slight charge perceived against the revolution. Distrust with each other
became so rampant among members inside the party that vanquishing the enemies became the most
important task of the Khmer Rouge Regime. Food shortages occurred, electricity became scarce,
and disease became a major problem for the population. Even the most useful resource for the

The Invention Of The Automobile Industry Essay
Cars are definitely the biggest invention on history changing the way humans transport. In the
past, there were no vehicles and therefore people used to walk while only the few lucky had the
privilege of enjoying a horse ride. There were also horse wagons which were made in order to
increase the number of persons who could be carried (Lynn, 54). However, in the year 1907, Henry
Fordinvented the first car model which was referred to as T model, that allowed everyone to own a
automobile. In this paper I will argue the importance of cars through history and why cars are the
biggest history humans have created using too expecific examples from history. The T model
reinvented the automobile industry making automobiles accessible for every social class. And
almost a century after Toyota car company reinvented again the automobile industry creating the
first hybrid named Prius. The importance of automobiles in history is obvious and this two
creation will teach you why. In the year 1903, there was the formation of a Association of Licensed
Automobile Manufacturers (ALAM) which was aimed at ensuring that only the licensed dealers
could be allowed to produce and sell vehicles (Grimm, 51). There was however rule and regulations
that they had to follow and failure to adhere would have led to being overthrown from the business.
During the invention of T model, the government was in the process of eliminating monopolies
which had taken the better part of the economy. These included

Example Of A Femme Fatale
A femme fatale, a French term for fatal woman (Schimkowitz, 2014), is a strong willed,
manipulative woman who is as alluring as she is dangerous. She is an irresistibly attractive woman
who leads a man into difficult and dangerous situations with her seductive charms (Blakely, 2014).
They used to be physically characterized as fierce sexing looking women with sharp eyeliners. This
female archetype has been in existence since ancient times all around the world.
The first example of a femme fatale in this paper is Veda Pierce (Ann Blyth) in Mildred Pierce,
which was released in 1945, when many American soldiers returned from World War II. During
the WWII period, women were the main providers for their families while American men were
at war, which led to increase independent American women. Mildred Pierce, the mother of Veda,
is one of the strong women who is working hard to support herself and her children. In contrast to
her mother s effort, Veda takes advantage of her mother s kindness and money. She also betrays
her by having an affair with Monte Beragon, who is already married to her mother. Veda has the
looks and knows how to use her looks to attract men. And she is so ambitious that she does
anything in order to get the most important thing to her which is money to live the high class life.
Ultimately, a femme fatale leads the male into ruin. Veda fulfills this characteristic of the femme
fatale by shooting Monte to death when he denies that he is going to marry her.

How far has the importance of Nelson Mandela in the ending of apartheid been exaggerated? It can
be argued that the importance of Nelson Mandela in the ending of apartheid has been greatly
exaggerated. Apartheid ended due to a combination of long term and short term events. The ANC

the world, international sanctions put pressure on the south African government and something had
to be done before their economy completely fell apart. De Klerk shocked the country when he took

there were so many of them the police could not arrest them all. At this time an identical plan

to the event in sharpville the march was called off and a ban was placed on gatherings. However
later that day protestors gathered again. The police ordered the protesters to disperse and baton

protestors barricaded the streets and looted policemen s homes. The death toll by the end of the
day in Langa was three, shot and killed by white policemen. The sharpville massacre and the langa

because it was so costly. The South African government was already in bad shape and could not

One of his biggest mistake he made was his attempt to do court packing where he can add more
Supreme Court justices when a justice reaches a certain age but refuses to retire. That is due to
the frustration that he encounters with the old, conservative supreme court and he believes that
such actions from the court have the intent on slowing down the progress of the New Deal.
(Court Packing) It was very unexpected and the courts eventually take action to prevent the
legislation from being more influential to the public. His executive action sending Japanese
citizens in the US to internment camps was a controversial measure to make after the attacks on
Pearl Harbor. It was deemed unfair to move Japanese Americans to relocation even though they
don t have a role in the attacks on Pearl Harbor. He even refused to act on the issues regarding
Jews in Europe, which causes the Holocaust to remain in place till the end of World War 2. He is
criticized for not doing enough to save the Jews from extermination and it was a mistake that
should be recognized due to the significance of all that. Breaking the no 3rd term tradition is also

The Importance Of Teen Pregnancy
Disparities still persist to this day in social and economic context. The conditions that some
teenagers face in communities and families may contribute to teen pregnancy. Within the social
domain, peers are a big risk factor for teen pregnancy. Some factors include sexual pressure from
peers, belief that most peers are sexually active, friends who are sexually active, dating at an
early age, and dating someone who is a few years older than you (Southeastern Idaho Public
Health, n.d.). Many teenagers feel the pressure from their peers to have sex before they are
ready. Those who decide to give into peer pressure often are not informed about safe sexual
behavior and therefore may become pregnant. The same goes for those who believe that most of
their peers are sexually active. Surveys have shown that many teenagers report a greater percent
than actual for the following question: What percent of your peers do you think are sexually
active? The pressure that comes from assuming that most of your peers are sexually active can
play a huge role in a teenager s decision to participate in early sexual activity. Friends are just as
much of a risk factor as family is. If a friend is sexually active, the pressure to fit in and be similar
to them starts developing. In these peer situations, it is most likely a teenager s first time having
sex. In that case, there is a lack of knowledge that puts teenagers at risk of becoming pregnant.
Dating at an early age can make a teenager curious

Essay The Powerful Clytemnestra in Aeschylus Oresteia
The Powerful Clytemnestra in Aeschylus Oresteia
What Price Glory? was the title of a Maxwell Anderson play about World War I. Although the
Oresteia deals with the period following a much different war, the same question can be asked of it.
In the trilogy Aeschylus presents the reader with a stunning example of ancient Greek society, in
which warrior ideals were firmly held, and glory in battle was considered the supreme good. The
question of moral justification in the trilogy brings in many complex issues, but all of them revolve
around the construction of Greek society and the role of different individuals in this system. Two of
the most extraordinary characters are the personages of Agamemnon and his wife Clytemnestra.
This couple ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The society in which this play takes place is so foreign from our own that it is difficult to
understand the actions of many characters. However, in Greek society many of these actions were
much more understandable. The first of these situations was the sacrifice of Iphigeneia by
Agamemnon. The king speaks of his grief when he says,
Heavy indeed my fate if I disobey, but heavy, too, if I must butcher my child, the glory of my
house, polluting a father s hands with streams of virgin s blood beside the altar.
Which of these two things is without evil? (Agamemnon, 41) 1
Yet Agamemnon does go on to murder his daughter. In his society was he free to make any other
decision? He says, How shall I become the deserter of my fleet and fail my allies? (Agam., 41)
The question of whether he should inflict so much suffering on his family is not even
mentioned. Agamemnon is obviously feeling societal pressure to sacrifice Iphigeneia, yet one
must question if he had any possible alternatives. If he had said no, he could have faced revolt,
and he would have been considered weak by other men. Yet to whom did he owe his first
allegiance? Was war really so much of a social ideal, or was it possible for Agamemnon to have
made a different choice and saved his daughter? At this point it is very conceivable that Iphigeneia
had to be sacrificed, but why exactly did the whole situation get this far?
When the soldiers embarked for Troy they set out upon a dangerous

Vanishing Point Rab
The poem s title is Vanishing Point by Lawrence Raab, which generally speaks of life s journey
and the aspirations each one of us has for him or herself. The title of the poem describes the
perspective of life. At the vanishing point, distant objects seem to be little and parallel lines
appear to converge. This is the point of confusion whereby a person s beliefs about the purpose of
life appear void. At this point, a person is no longer sure whether purpose and destiny matter.
The speaker is analyzing the walk of life, the hopes and dreams that each one has concerning their
own life and their relationship to elapsing time. A person finds him or herself on a journey. The

It is not possible to tell whether the life of a person will be successful or not. For this reason,
people live in anxiety and the fear of the unknown. The speaker says that this walk is personal and
everything else does not matter. Besides, he describes that the direction where the road is leading
has hardships. He uses the poetry style of symbolism to metaphorize the concept of destiny. Did
you really think you were just out for an aimless stroll? by this question, the speaker implies that
the direction of the journey is of person s own making. The person decides which direction he or
he wants to go. However, in the end, the choice pf direction will matter.
The speaker discourages the readers against placing too much focus on the problem. In his poem, he
stipulates that a long focus on the horizon s mountains makes them seem too impossible to

In recent years, airlines build a closer relationship, especially European airlines and Chinese
airlines. Europe is the headstream of airplane, but compared to North America, European aviation is
a little bit weak on the ridership. In late 1990s and early 2000s, Europe had more interactions with
American aviation. In recent years, Europe set China as a new partner. European aviation is trying
to expand its international market through increasing new cooperation.
In recent years, the relationship between Chinese and European Aviation is getting closer. The
strongest evidence is that Chinese government and European Union have signed a 5 year work
agreement for reducing the economic burden in aviation industry, preserving aviation safety and

Good Night And Goodluck Analysis
Good Night. And, Good Luck by George Clooney and Grant Heslov follows CBS reporter
Edward R. Murrow and his producer Fred Friendly who resolve to take a stand against Senator
Joseph McCarthy. There was an air of fear and paranoia in the United States, in the 1950 s,
because of Communism. Those fears were manipulated by McCarthy, who wanted to gain more
power by calling out people who he claimed to have communist ties. His only piece of evidence
involved a sealed envelope that no one could see the contents of. Murrow and his reporting team
decide to do a piece on those exploitations. The first piece they do is on an air force officer who
was fired because his father was deemed to be a communist. It was clear that there was no fair trial
held and the officer s rights were violated. Although... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a journalist Murrow strongly believed that everyone should be aware of the affairs of the
world in rightful way. He found McCarthy to be a liar who was taking away peoples right and
wanted to open people s eyes, to show them that they have the right to speak out. Toward the end
of his program, Murrow gave a memorable speech: This is no time for men who oppose Senator
McCarthy s methods to keep silent, or for those who approve. We can deny our heritage and our
history, but we cannot escape responsibility for the result. There is no way for a citizen of a
republic to abdicate his responsibilities. As a nation we have come into our full inheritance at a
tender age. We proclaim ourselves, as indeed we are, the defenders of freedom, wherever it
continues to exist in the world, but we cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home. After
Murrow s show ended, McCarthy political influence diminished. Unfortunately, the consequences of
going after McCarthy caused Murrow and Friendly to practically lose their

Essay on Treason in the Eye of the Beholder
There is a fine line between treason and revolution, however when the two come up it very likely
that the individual that is being of accused of either can go from one or the other in the blink of
an eye. During the late 1700 s America was going through some of the most difficult times of its
history. The struggle with Britain was becoming harder and those within the colonies were unsure
what direction they wanted to take the colonies. Thomas Paine however knew exactly what
direction he felt the colonies should go and that was to break away from Britain and become an
independent nation from Britain all together. There was a crisis in America with no set rules or
regulations to guide those that were living within its borders and Paine... Show more content on

He saw chaos and confusion and of course wanted to understand why those that were already
pushing back against Britain were not doing more. Paine was already acquainted with many
influential leaders of that day who would help establish the beginnings of our constitution. Men like
Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and Charles Peale. However, Paine wanted more than just
break away. Paine stated. Society was a positive phenomenon, government a negative one: Society
is produced by our wants and government by our wickedness . Paine was aware that the British
government was attempting to crush the spirit of the colonies, nevertheless you realized that the
colonies needed to form a government of its own to stand on their own in order to break away.
Thomas Paine was successful in what he penned down in Common Sense. In one of his statements
from his pamphlet, the Revolutionary War is spelled out in black in white and from what we know
now it to place one a few months after these pamphlets were printed. Paine stated, all subjection to
Britain ought to have ceased; and the independence of America should have been considered as
dating its era from, and published by, the first musket fired at her . Paine understood and he wanted
the American colonist to understand that they need to fight for their independents against Britain.
His words were not ignored, but the colonist and those in leadership declared their independence

Replacing the Current Income Tax Structure with the FairTax Plan
It is the general agreement of tax payers everywhere that the current tax system is way too
complicated. You either need to have a certified public accountant help you do them or a
specialized tax program to walk you through it. Not only that, but the costs associated with
having someone prepare your taxes or buying the specialized computer program needed to
navigate the myriad of entangled tax codes and laws can become quite expensive. But it is not
only expensive for us, the individual tax payer, but it is also expensive for businesses and it is
extremely expensive for the Federal government. Not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The President placed upon the panel stipulations as to what types of recommendations could be
made, such as reducing the cost of compliance, having to base at least one recommendation on the
current tax structure and that all recommendations had to be revenue neutral, meaning they had to
be able to collect the same amount of taxes that the government was projected to collect under the
current tax structure. Unfortunately, due to those stipulations imposed upon the panel, they were
limited in what they could recommend. Even in today s environment, in a news article by Fox
Business, President Trump has recently talked about a major tax reform.
Unfortunately, all of these reforms are simply trying to patch up the current income tax system when
what is really needed is a complete replacement to a new tax system. One of the better alternative
tax systems being proposed is the National Retail Sales Tax (NRST), also known as the FairTax.
The FairTax plan, which was originally introduced back in 1999, was reintroduced by House
Representative John Linder and Senator Saxby Chambliss in 2007. It proposes to replace the
current income tax system, which includes personal income, corporate income, estate and gift,
capital gains, alternative minimum tax, Social Security, Medicare, and self employment

The Advent Of Industrialized Civilization Essay
The advent of industrialized civilization has brought to us many remarkable feats that enhance our
everyday lives. Such things as automobiles, airplanes, tractors, mainframe computers, and even
relatively simple machines like lawnmowers have intertwined themselves into the everyday culture
of modern day industrialized countries.. These products have provided us enormous benefits
compared to the types of lives our ancestors used to live. In the eyes of some, the consequences of
industrial activities that have evolved around the world will not pose any problems in the future,
however as most have realized, this is not true. Contemporary production processes use fossil fuels
such as oil, which release dangerous amounts of greenhouse gases into our atmosphere. In addition,
certain products such as vehicles are notorious for their inefficient combustion cycles that also
release comparable amounts of certain greenhouse gases into the air. Moreover, emissions from
agricultural practices, land use change and forestry, and other industrial activities have led to
dramatic increases in atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide, methane and other gases since
pre industrial times. (Fig. 1) The world was quick to act upon this realization by negotiating the
Kyoto Protocol in December of 1997, the result of a process that began by a United Nations led
conference in the early 90s. Since then, the debate for ratification among the negotiating countries
has been ongoing, for the simple

A Research Project On The Data Collection Process
Manatowa Research Project Report
Identify and describe key lessons learned in your data collection process
The first potential participant I spoke with on the phone asked me a question, can any staff
member volunteer to participate or do they have to be a licensed social worker ? A very valid
question and something I had not anticipated. I did not know how to answer her at first. That fact
was not part of my research design. As explained by the University of Oxford Personnel Service
UAS (2015) among the standards in research is the practice code of being honest in proposing,
conducting and reporting research. Academic research often has class timeline parameters which
puts a strain on the academic researcher. The integrity of the researcher in academic research class
may be tested by shortcomings as the result of faults in the design phase. The academic research
must choose to do the right thing and act in an ethical manner when situations arise such as in the
recruitment of participants and modifications during the data collection phase.
Research design can eliminate potential pitfalls and challenges during research data collection and
interpretation of that data. Spending more time and effort in the design phase will help to eliminate
and/or reduce such ethical situations. Crotty (1998) suggested:
1.What epistemology, theory of knowledge, embedded in the theoretical perspective, informs the
research (e.g., objectivism, subjectivism, etc.)?
2.What

The Glass Ceiling Effect On Women
1.What are the implications of the glass ceiling ?
A glass ceiling effect is a political term used to portray the inconspicuous, yet unbreakable
boundary that keeps minorities and ladies from ascending to the upper rungs of the professional
pecking order, paying little respect to their capabilities or accomplishments. The expression glass
ceiling was instituted in a 1986 Wall Street Journal give an account of corporate ladies by
Hymowitz and Schellhardt (The Glass Ceiling effect) . At first, the analogy was connected by
women s activists in reference to boundaries in the vocations of high accomplishing women. In the
US the idea is sometimes stretched out to allude to barriers stopping the headway of minority men,
and also ladies.
In a survey by Working Womanmagazine in February 1993, with 2,250 peruses taking an interest,
the most huge discoveries demonstrated how far ladies have come as well as how the experience,
execution lastly the sheer quantities of ladies supervisors are shattering a large portion of the
generalizations. Indeed, even before there were profession ladies, there were negative pictures of
ladies with power. They were monster women, iron ladies, flirts; malicious controllers who
conspired and plotted their way to the top. In the 1970s when ladies started entering administration
in critical numbers, it wasn t astounding that numerous ladies reliably said in studies that they
would rather work for a man.
Prior research has shown that the attitudes

Tijuana River Wetlands
Background: Geology The Tijuana National Estuarine Research Reserve, administered by the
U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service and California Department of Parks and Recreation, is the
southwestern most nature reserve in the continental United States. It is bordered by Mexico and
the city of Tijuana on the south, the Pacific Ocean on the west, the city of Imperial Beach (the
southwestern most city in the continental U.S.), the U.S. Navy Auxiliary Landing Field on the
north, and South San Diego on the East. The estuary itself extends well into Mexico. The
Tijuana River drains a watershed of 1,735 square miles. Three fourths of this watershed is in
Mexico. The reserve is located on 2,500 acres of wetlands and coastal dunes. Of these acres, 1,660

The research reserve extends up river to include the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge,

couple of small canyons. The Tijuana River Wetlands is classified as a coastal plain estuary. It
has been in geologic development since the late Cenozoic Era, approximately 65 million years
ago (Schoenherr, 59). As continental drift carried the North American continent westward,
tectonic uplift raised the shore line several hundred feet above the current sea levels. Over time,
the river wore through the uplifted terraces, though the narrowness of the floodplain indicates
that the flow was generally not large. In the Holocene Epoch(200,000 years ago), as the polar caps
melted and the sea rose, the exposed continental shelf was reclaimed by the ocean. As the ocean
waters rose, rivers were covered and lagoons were formed as sandy barriers formed deposited by
long shore drift

Quality Improvement Initiative Falls Management Program
Quality Improvement Initiative Falls Management Program in Nursing Homes
Falls are very common among nursing home residents. Residents in nursing homes are more likely
to fall due to their age, chronic health conditions, medication, or change in the environment after
admission to the facility. The people who provide care every day in nursing homes know firsthand
how critical falling can be to the health of the residents they care for. Fall prevention is critical in
order to decrease falls in nursing homes. There are programs that are designed to help nursing home
staff members identify the reason for resident fall. These programs give a preventive measure that
assures accuracy and sensitivity of patients risk from falling. The Falls Management Program
(FMP) is one of these programs. The Falls Management Program (FMP) is a multifaceted quality
improvement initiative that is designed to assist nursing homes, it includes assessment,
individualized care planning, resident monitoring, and the elimination of environmental safety
hazards (Taylor, J., Parmelee, P., Brown, H., Ouslander, J., 2005). FMP also improves care
processes and outcomes through educational, staff training and quality improvement tools and
ongoing consultation by qualified falls nurse. There are several reasons why FMP is significant.
Research shows that about half of the nursing home residents in the U.S. fall each year and it is
estimated that 1 in 3 of those who fall will fall in the future. Falling

Pneumoni A Case Study
According to Ignatavicius, pneumonia is an excess of fluid in the lungs resulting from an
inflammatory process. Pneumonia can be caused by several different organisms and can present as
a primary illness or as a complication of other diseases or acute health problems. Development
begins when the immune system cannot combat the virulence of infecting organisms, which may
reduce gas exchange, cause hypoxemia, and conceivably lead to death. Pneumonia is a significant
cause of morbidity and mortality and can affect all age groups though children and the elderly are at
highest risk. Patients suffering from pneumonia may present in a variety of ways, ranging from
asymptomatic to symptomatic. Therefore, It is imperative that nurses are able to... Show more

Understanding Hypnosis
I feel it useful to provide a definition of hypnotherapy as well as hypnosis before moving on and
answering this question of this essay. Linnenkamp Doyle writes, hypnotherapy is the use of
hypnosis to treat disease something that she documents in her case study. This medical idea of
hypnosis needs further exploration in terms of how it has evolved and sparked debate amongst
medical and dental practitioners. Four very significant hypnotherapists are arguably Mesmer, Braid,
Esdaile and Elliotson, all putting emphasis on the medical aspect of hypnotherapy. Mesmer, for
example, devoted his 1779 27 Propositions concerning animal magnetism.
Closer to modern day, in his book Hypnotherapy, Dave Elman not only concentrates on relaxation (a

So, I will now move onto describing the psychological and physiological effects of hypnosis. Robin
Waterfield provides a valid list of this when he describes a high degree of rapport between the
hypnotist and subject , use of the imagination and also the generation of expectations within the
subject s mind. As we can see in Linnenkamp Doyle s case study of hypnotherapy as a cure for
blindness below, these expectations ideally relate to the suggestions imposed upon the subject of
hypnosis. The suggestions and expectations will often relate to factors such as the cure or severity
of a disease suffered by the subject or the lack of pain during dental procedures undergone by the
subject.
It is clear from the effects listed by Waterfield, that the psychological and physiological effects of
hypnotherapy are highly linked to the state of receptivity and power of suggestion in the subject
and hypnotist.
Relaxation is both an effect of hypnotherapy and part of its principals. In terms of the latter,
relaxation on the part of the subject of hypnotherapy facilitates the receptivity that we have seen to
be desirable for the optimal success of hypnotic techniques. Relaxation also constitutes a boundary
between hypnosis and meditation. As Waterfield explains, some studies have shown that both
meditation and hypnosis have similar effects on the autonomic systems: a reduced

Junior College Student Analysis
In High school I was a C plus B minus student, which was a substandard grade point average. Due
to academic and financial reasons, I was confined to a Junior college. Nevertheless, making that the
best decision that was ever made for me.
Union County College gave me a second chance to truly grow into the student I am today. In all
honesty, I was reluctant to go to a Junior college. From high school, I wanted to go straight to a
four year, the way that it should be. Alas, my path was not outlined that way; and instead of
looking at the negatives, I sought out the complete opposite. In high school, I did not put forth by
best efforts as I was complacent with being just an average student. With moving forward, I
discovered the error of my ways and made an oath not to underestimate myself as a student.
After abandoning that negative mindset, I became the student that I envisioned for myself. In
academia, I have achieved three point six great point average, and by the time I graduate I am

Tax In Australia Essay
Over 570,000 backpackers travelled Australia in 2009 and many did so on Working Holiday Visas
(WHVs) to help cover the costs. Tax is the last thing backpackers think about when in Australia; that
is until it comes time to leave or file their tax return...
Having arrived in Australia under a WHVs a number of years ago I have the first hand experience
of how difficult it is to understand a new tax regime, especially one which is obscured by myths,
hearsay and misleading information. For many backpackers, this is their first experience of tax and
may be their first job which just makes things worse!
This article may help you find out some of the myths and address some issues surrounding tax in
Australia for WHVs holders.

The rate of tax that you pay depends on your individual situation, how much you have earned, other
income you have received and deductions you may (or may not!) be entitled too.
Typically, if an individual is travelling frequently, employed in casual roles and not classed as an
Australian resident for tax purposes, they will pay 29% of all earnings. This is because the
Australian Tax Office (ATO) assumes they have income in another country and place a flat rate on
all earnings to simplify the process.
Tax agents can get you 100% of your tax back
Tax is a complex matter and using a tax agent to help you can be a good call if you are unsure of
some aspect of your return. However, any agent that promises to get you all of the tax you paid
returned to you should be treated with caution.
They may be trying to mislead you or they could be lying to the tax office on your behalf either
way, you will end up in a lot of trouble. You will always be made to sign a document taking
responsibility for the actions of the tax agent.
If you want to get an estimate of your tax liability or refund due, the ATO has free calculators that

  • 2. Persuasive Essay On Iran Nuclear War Quinton Lewis Professor. M. Uralrith M.Ed. English Composition 1 Research Paper Rough Draft 11/9/15 Iran Nuclear Deal Would you let a country who in the past has used chemical weapons against its neighboring countries to have a nuclear weapon? In 2014, a deal was put in place to let Iran produce nuclear energy. Iran should not be trusted with this sort of ability, because they are a dangerous country that has used chemical weapons against its neighboring countries. Also, Iran is planning on making nuclear weapons and if we are to let them make nuclear weapons the United States will be in danger. The United States should not allow Iran to have nuclear energy due to their past of lying, their desire to make Nuclear weapons, and the dangers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The United States and Israel would be in danger. In my opinion if a country is willing to use chemical weapons during war and threaten to destroy an entire country and commit genocide, they should not be allowed to have any sort of nuclear power at all. The supreme leader even said on a live broad cast that we had watched my senior year that said Death to America . It is said that history repeats its self, what is happening now happened in 1938 when Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain went to speak with Adolf Hitler about negotiation. The prime minister left there thinking that Hitler s promises for peace were in good faith in exchange for Germanys annex large parts of Czechoslovakia The Nazi regime was a police state and Iran is a police state. The Nazis aim was to kill all the Jews in Europe and Iran s aim is to destroy Israel. The Nazis hated America and what it stands for and so does Iran. The alternative to this agreement was continuing and tightening the sanctions they were weakening the Iranian regime and greatly breaking down its abilities to fund terror groups. Also, the stronger Iran gets the more money they make means the more they will try and expand. The Iranian regime is a bunch of religious fanatics who are morally from ISIS, Al Qaeda Boko haram and all the other terrorist groups. Iran is the second highest country with executions right behind china. Iran is already one of the biggest funders to terrorist groups so just imagine what they can do with another $150,000,000,000. Imagine what it will do with the removal of the current weapons and missile embargo. Or the nuclear infrastructure with this deal it will do every single ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Sex Trafficking Is The Violation Of Human Rights Good Luck Sex trafficking is the violation of human rights: equality, health, and dignity. Today ninety six percent of victims of sexual exploitation are women and girls. (Shared Hope International) There is an extensive debate on how women are viewed as an object rather than an actual human being. The portrayal of women today is sickening. Women are shown as a sex object to men rather than a person. In this horrific act of self destruction, women are exposed to sexual performance in trade off to the buyer or much known as a sex trafficker, for money, drugs, and or values of life. Traffickers trap women, child, or even men into guarantee relationships, gifts, and other false promises. This is known as a Commercial Sex Act. Women who are involved in human traffickinghave their complete existence taken from them. Most victims that are involved in sex trafficking do not have a peaceful ending. Sex and human trafficking is a prime example of how our society over sexualizes women. The whole academic of human trafficking shows that women are stigmatized as weak individuals. It is mainly from how they are treated, many are known know as a Sex Slave after the entertainment from the traffickers has been done. The results of human trafficking are degrading to the women in society. It may be known as prostitution but what some people do not understand or care for, it is a Federal Law identified as Sex trafficking. Human trafficking not only happens in the United States of American but all parts of this alarming world. This form of slaverydenies the freedom to 20.9 million human beings in the world around us. (Polaris) Taken uses two clueless American teenagers, Maggie Grace (Kim) and Katie Cassidy (Amanda), who certainly have no knowledge about leaving the United States, alone. This is another factor of how women are portrayed as unstainable objects. Hours into their educational vacation the girls intended to have, someone had a change of plans for them. While waiting for their arrival at the hotel, the two teenager show their American courtesy by sharing a cab with this foreigner. Their lives were in the home stretch of being taking advantage. Aside from that, the father of Kim is a retired ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Criminal Justice Programs In The 1980 s The United States Criminal Justice System and its policies have subtly changed during the past century however, there is one policy implemented in the late 1960 s and more intensely enforced in the 1980 s that many think to be unconstitutional. The police history within the realm of the American Judicial system has been filled with a need to adapt and reform to new challenges when it comes to preventing crime. If we think about the 1980s, cops were allowed to stop someone based on reasonable suspicion and beyond a reasonable doubt, and this is still allowed today under justification. This is part of their job. PoliceOfficers have the ultimate power to prevent crimes, through arrests, use of physical force, enforcing the laws, and to stop ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

His father, Mr.Gangadhar Tilak was a famous schoolteacher and a Sanskrit scholar. Bal Gangadhar Tilak was a bright child and very good at mathematics. The problems the teacher gave to work our on paper, Bal would do them mentally and give the answer. He also had a sense of fairness and justice from very early age. He was very independent minded and did not falter at expressing his opinions. One day the teacher came to class and found peanut shells on the ground. Tilak wrote a scathing article in his newspaper and quoted Gita no blame could be attached to anyone who killed an oppressor without any thought of reward . Following this, on 22 June, Rand and another British officer Lt. Ayerst were shot and killed by the Chapekar brothers and their other associates. Tilak was charged with incitement to murder and sentenced to 18 months imprisonment. When he emerged from prison, he was revered as a martyr and a national hero and adopted a new slogan, Swaraj (Self Rule) is my birth right and I shall have it with which he roused a sleeping nation to action, making Indian people aware of their plight under a foreign rule. Eventually Tilak was jailed by the British for his seditious writings. This imprisonment did not dampen Tilak s enthusiasm and the fire of patriotism kindled by him began to burn more and more fiercely. By that time he was the unquestioned leader of the Indians the uncrowned king. Thus he was known as the Tilak Maharaj and his many admirers also named him Lokmanya, which means admired by the people. But it s important to note that Lokmanya Tilak was not just a revolutionary, he was a great scholar as well. Besides his radical political activities, Tilak was very much interested in Indian history and culture. Because he was an Indian nationalist, Tilak was particularly interested in the ancient sacred literature The Vedas as the earliest document of the Aryan Hindus and the oldest writings in the ... This does not mean that your road construction company needs to go out and buy crash trucks right away, however. Instead, you can consider renting them. Rent Crash Trucks That are Convenient to Your Work Location If your road construction company does work all over the state or even in other states, you might find that transporting all of your equipment is a hassle. • 7. Homosexuality Is Unnatural I will argue in support of the statement that homosexuality is not unnatural in any morally objectionable way. My argument will be backed by evidence and support by John Corvino. With aid from Burton Leiser, a professor of philosophy at Pace University, Corvino examines several possible interpretations of the term unnatural to acknowledge and negate different arguments commonly posed against homosexuality. The five meanings of the term unnatural that Corvino investigates are what is unusual or abnormal is unnatural, what is not practiced by other animals is unnatural, what does not proceed from innate desires is unnatural, what violates an organ s principle purpose is unnatural, and what is disgusting or offensive is unnatural ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This idea possibly stems from the common belief that homosexual sex does not result in procreation (Corvino 6). This proposition assumes that a human s organs each have a singular, principle purpose for human survival. To counter this premise, Leiser points out that the primary function of an organ may easily vary upon the owner s needs and desires (Gruen and Panichas 50). Corvino s perfect example of an organ with multiple purposes is the mouth. A human s mouth is used for many different functions; eating, breathing, speaking, laughing, and kissing. Another good example is the human ears they were not intended to hold up glasses, yet they serve to do so anyway, despite not being their primary function. Corvino also mentions that while someone may go through a list of an organ s multiple functions and state that some are unnatural but not immoral, they have not made a clear enough definition of the term natural for this argument (6). It could be said that while sexual organs can be used for procreation, they can also be used for pleasure, expressing love and desire, and enhancing an established relationship. Those who agree with this argument and believe that procreation is the primary, natural purpose of sexual organs should also be against contraception and masturbation, as these do not factor into procreation, deeming them, by their own ... Why Dogs Should Not Be Judged Imagine a world where people were based off their race, family, religion or whatever makes them different.Imagine a world that bases you off of that information and bans you from somewhere or something just because of a stereotype.I know this might sound strange but instead of people replace those with dogs and instead of raceor religion its breeds. Dangerous dogbreeds such as pit bulls, rottweilers, and even german shepherds have been suffering from these stereotypes because people believe they are too treacherous to live in the same place as them.I believe that these Treacherous dog breeds should not be judged because on most occasion it is the owner who trained them to be aggressive or to protect and they were breed to be family dogs but that all changed when people started using them for wrong. This new phenomenon of activism driven by media technologies has been widely used in Hong Kongto retain human rights, protesting for more autonomy and democracy. • 13. The Beliefs Of Judaism, Zionism And Judaism There will always be differences in religion, history has shown us that. No one can ever be truly correct; someone will always interject or disagree and there will always be conflict when it comes to religions. Whether it comes down to debates, or even wars have been fought because of difference in religion. One religion in particular follow the same doctrine, but have different views on it, and that religion is Judaism. In Judaism, there are the secular Zionistic Jews and then there are True Torah Jews. Both believe in the same thing, but the way they carry it out is very different. The first question is, where did Zionismcome from and how did it become popular? Zionism all started with a man name Theodore Herzl about one hundred years ago, and he got the great idea of starting a movement of taking the sacred True Torah Judaism and changing it a little bit. He wanted to start a branch of the religion and make it more secular, by not studying the Torah, and making Judaism more territorial by thinking that this religion should be in one area and that is modern day Jerusalem, or Israel. Instead of being like most religions where they want to spread the word and go out and convert others into what they believe. Zionist think that they should cut everyone off and go back to the promise land. Laura Wharton, of the Jerusalem City Council, wrote about Zionism and said Theodor Herzl s vision was of Israel as a haven for the Jewish people (p75). Laura touched base on Theodor did ... This trial was used to test the theory of two other HSV 2 vaccinetests among discordinant couples. HSV 2 antibodies were detected after the second dose of the vaccine, but fell to undetectable levels by the 6 month of the study. A third dose was administered; the levels were detectable again, but fell soon to undetectable ranges soon after. The TimeTraveller took these questions into a great thought process, explored the future and was amazed at his findings. The time traveller steps into the time machine, pulls the two levers and prays to see where the time machine will take him. • 19. Development Of Symphonies And Their Composers Development of Symphonies and Their Composers Early eighteenth century the term symphony was applied to the instrumental preludes and postludes of vocal pieces such as arias and songs. By derivation the word means simply a music ensemble . Today, we apply the term to a much larger composition such as an orchestra(typically in three or four movements). The symphonycan also be defined as a sonata for orchestra. Symphonies of the earlier era, the classical era, were mostly simpler, and followed a smaller scale. Later, during the romantic era, the symphony had grown in number and length of the movements, the instruments used to increase not only in quantity but in quality. There was also a wider dynamic range due to the variety in instruments played. Of the seventeenth century, the term symphony originated from the word Sinfonia , which was used for introductory movements for operas, oratorios and cantatas. Today, the symphony is generally regarded as the highest type of instrumental music. Beginning in the eighteenth century, the first symphonies were intensely developed. Music had three parts: fast, slow, fast, and eventually became dance like fast. This form became popular in Italy, but then spread to Germany and England. That s why most music terms are written in Italian. The first movement of the Sinfonia received little to no attention, it merely served as a cover to the entrance of the people arriving late. Some factors include sexual pressure from peers, belief that most peers are sexually active, friends who are sexually active, dating at an early age, and dating someone who is a few years older than you (Southeastern Idaho Public Health, n.d.). Many teenagers feel the pressure from their peers to have sex before they are ready. Those who decide to give into peer pressure often are not informed about safe sexual behavior and therefore may become pregnant. The same goes for those who believe that most of their peers are sexually active. Surveys have shown that many teenagers report a greater percent than actual for the following question: What percent of your peers do you think are sexually active? The pressure that comes from assuming that most of your peers are sexually active can play a huge role in a teenager s decision to participate in early sexual activity. Friends are just as much of a risk factor as family is. If a friend is sexually active, the pressure to fit in and be similar to them starts developing. In these peer situations, it is most likely a teenager s first time having sex. In that case, there is a lack of knowledge that puts teenagers at risk of becoming pregnant. Dating at an early age can make a teenager curious ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although the Oresteia deals with the period following a much different war, the same question can be asked of it. In the trilogy Aeschylus presents the reader with a stunning example of ancient Greek society, in which warrior ideals were firmly held, and glory in battle was considered the supreme good. The society in which this play takes place is so foreign from our own that it is difficult to understand the actions of many characters. However, in Greek society many of these actions were much more understandable. The first of these situations was the sacrifice of Iphigeneia by Agamemnon. The king speaks of his grief when he says, Heavy indeed my fate if I disobey, but heavy, too, if I must butcher my child, the glory of my house, polluting a father s hands with streams of virgin s blood beside the altar. Which of these two things is without evil? (Agamemnon, 41) 1 Yet Agamemnon does go on to murder his daughter. In his society was he free to make any other decision? He says, How shall I become the deserter of my fleet and fail my allies? (Agam., 41) The question of whether he should inflict so much suffering on his family is not even mentioned. Agamemnon is obviously feeling societal pressure to sacrifice Iphigeneia, yet one must question if he had any possible alternatives. If he had said no, he could have faced revolt, and he would have been considered weak by other men. Yet to whom did he owe his first allegiance? Was war really so much of a social ideal, or was it possible for Agamemnon to have made a different choice and saved his daughter? At this point it is very conceivable that Iphigeneia had to be sacrificed, but why exactly did the whole situation get this far? When the soldiers embarked for Troy they set out upon a dangerous ... Such things as automobiles, airplanes, tractors, mainframe computers, and even relatively simple machines like lawnmowers have intertwined themselves into the everyday culture of modern day industrialized countries.. These products have provided us enormous benefits compared to the types of lives our ancestors used to live. In the eyes of some, the consequences of industrial activities that have evolved around the world will not pose any problems in the future, however as most have realized, this is not true. Contemporary production processes use fossil fuels such as oil, which release dangerous amounts of greenhouse gases into our atmosphere. In addition, certain products such as vehicles are notorious for their inefficient combustion cycles that also release comparable amounts of certain greenhouse gases into the air. Moreover, emissions from agricultural practices, land use change and forestry, and other industrial activities have led to dramatic increases in atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide, methane and other gases since pre industrial times. Academic research often has class timeline parameters which puts a strain on the academic researcher. The integrity of the researcher in academic research class may be tested by shortcomings as the result of faults in the design phase. The academic research must choose to do the right thing and act in an ethical manner when situations arise such as in the recruitment of participants and modifications during the data collection phase. Research design can eliminate potential pitfalls and challenges during research data collection and interpretation of that data. Spending more time and effort in the design phase will help to eliminate and/or reduce such ethical situations. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So, I will now move onto describing the psychological and physiological effects of hypnosis. Robin Waterfield provides a valid list of this when he describes a high degree of rapport between the hypnotist and subject , use of the imagination and also the generation of expectations within the subject s mind. As we can see in Linnenkamp Doyle s case study of hypnotherapy as a cure for blindness below, these expectations ideally relate to the suggestions imposed upon the subject of hypnosis. The suggestions and expectations will often relate to factors such as the cure or severity of a disease suffered by the subject or the lack of pain during dental procedures undergone by the subject. It is clear from the effects listed by Waterfield, that the psychological and physiological effects of hypnotherapy are highly linked to the state of receptivity and power of suggestion in the subject and hypnotist. Relaxation is both an effect of hypnotherapy and part of its principals. In terms of the latter, relaxation on the part of the subject of hypnotherapy facilitates the receptivity that we have seen to be desirable for the optimal success of hypnotic techniques.
