1.Safe Environment:
For the first part of my observation I noticed that the environment was not in the best shape that it
could be, so I asked the program supervisor John why the environment looked like it was under
repair and he explained that the whole school was under construction. Through my observation I did
notice that for the most part the environment was safe, but it did have major hazards that concerned
me. The environment had safe ratios, for example, in the specific class that I observed there was
seven infants and two adults the caretakes informed me that it is regularly eight infants in the
classroom four infants per adult, but a child was out sick with the flu. In addition, I noticed that in
the front part of the classroom where the door entry and fire extinguisher are located there was a
fire and emergency plan that includes emergency information and a plan to get the infants to safety.

Self love and body positivity. Are the two subjects I have struggled with since last year. Self love is
when you have a positive view of yourself and are confident in yourself. And body positivity is
forgiving and affirming towards your body. There was a time when I used to not care what I looked
like. I wouldn t care if I had a noticeable blemish my face, had rolls of fat showing, or ate a whole
batch of cookies by myself. But somehow, one day everything changed.
For the longest time I wasn t proud of how I looked. The fact that I have glasses and have loads
of acne around my face, wasn t helping. I remember looking at the girls at school and wondering
how they have smooth skin, and why they are so beautiful. You have no idea how many... Show

Food was the main factor to why I judged my body. I love food, but I somehow it became my
worst enemy. Before I paid any attention to my body I would eat a bunch. I m talking about chips,
cupcakes, pizza, popcorn and other delicious foods. But of course, eating causes you to gain weight.
So I started to watch what I ate, and limit how much I consumed. At that point I wasn t enjoying
the food as much as I did before. While eating anything, in the back of my mind, I would start
thinking of how many calories the food has and I shouldn t be eating this . Heck, I would eat
one cookie and instantly regret it. Honestly, I m tired of starving myself. I want to love food again,
I don t want to worry about gaining weight if I ate a whole tub of ice cream. I have no idea when I
will digest this, but I know I will.
Since last year up till now. This is still an ongoing battle for me. I do have days when I don t feel
attractive, or want to look slim, or watch what I eat. I aspire to be thrilled and be fine with what I

My Biological Name Is Dang Thanh Tam
My biological name is Dang Thanh Tam. I was born in Da Nang Vietnam in 1972 and do not
know whom my biological Mother is or if she had survived the Vietnam War. My biological
father, an African American, and might have served in the United States Army or the United
States Marines. Due to the extent of the war, it is highly likely he did not survive the war as well.
Much of the Vietnam War is something hard for me to understand. Growing up as a child, young
adult, and as an adult, this is a very sensitive topic. Adopted and raised in Vermont and the state is

Today, many Vietnam Vets will not speak about their horrific memories from the Vietnam War and
the war still haunts them thirty years later. Was this a senseless war?
Many people today would say the United States, once again, stuck their nose into a war when it
should not have. Is this just another record of accomplishment for the United States or the history
behind wars or the history of wars repeating themself? Why does the United States government
approve of another ruler or president of another country but 20 30 years later, they either are
creating a coop or creating a war to over throw the ruler of that country?
Just like Vietnam, many refugees would not be in this country if there were no wars. In a

The 24 candidate genes were then introduced to mouse embryonic fibroblast(MEF); when grown,
no single candidate was capable of activating the Fbx15 locus. Conversely when all 24
candidates were expressed Yamanaka and Takahashi were able to obtain multiple G418 resistant
colonies. The experiment was repeated, and six colonies were chosen. Out of these six, four
displayed morphology and proliferation properties which were highly similar to ES cells. Reverse
transcriptase PCR(RTPCR) revealed several ES cell markers, and further analysis provided evidence
that it was a combination of some of the 24 factors which induced pluripotency.
To find the specific combination required to induce pluripotency, Yamanaka and Takahashi
observed the effect of removing certain factors. A total of ten factors were noted to have critical
effect on the early growth of cells; removal of any of these ten factors resulted in no colony growth
within the first ten days of culturing. Furthermore, when these ten genes were combined, Yamanaka
and Takahashi noted that the resulting cells were more similar to ES cells than cells with all 24
factors were transduced. Out of these ten factors, further factors were withdrawn; when factors Oct
Вѕ or Klf4 were removed no G418 resistant colonies formed. Moreover, when Sox2 was removed
minimal colonies formed. While resistant colonies still formed despite the removal of c Myc, the
