China s Reform And Opening Up
As the three FIE Laws were introduced at the start of China s reform and opening up, they serve
as fundamental laws for foreign investment issues in China for almost 40 years. However,
because of the rapid and deeper development of China s economy in recent years, these laws face
a number of issues. 1.1.Conflicts with the Company Law Under current relevant laws and
regulation, foreign investors have several options to set up their businesses in China. They can
establish corporations in the form of EJVs, CJVs or WFOEs under the EJV law, CJV law or
WFOE law respectively. In addition, they can set up limited liability companies ( LLC ) under the
Company Law as well. Generally, Company Law is focus on regulating domestic enterprises instead

These supervisors should be appointed or elected by shareholders and employees. As the FIE
laws do not mention this matter, limited liability FIEs like EJVs should also comply with
Article 52. However, under the FIE laws, shareholders meeting is not regarded as an
authoritative body and therefore there is no provision or framework for FIEs to deal with the
shareholders voting procedures. Although the board of directors, which is the highest authority
under the FIE laws, can appoint supervisors, the appointment would be inappropriate and
doubtable because supervisors responsibility is to supervise those directors . 1.2.Excessive
regulation of foreign invested enterprises According to the current FIE laws, a case by case
approval system is applied to all FIEs. Obtaining of positive approvals for investment projects
from National Development and Reform Commission ( NDRC ) is the first step; Afterwards,
approval for establishment should be acquired from MOFCOM; In order to operate the firm, a
business license, which is granted by the State Administration of Industry and Commerce ( SAIC
), is required . Approvals are also required on every significant issues such as the transfer of
controlled capital or shares, merger and acquisition, liquidation and so on. In the case Qingyue
Gao v Shicai Chen , the two foreign parties had signed two contracts in respect of 70% shares
transferring from the plaintiff to defendant in 2006. The

Scars Of Sweet Paradise The Life And Times Of Janis Joplin
One famous quote was, Janis simply said, I m going home. I m going home. Meant that Janis
knew that she would not fit in and that there was something out there for her. Janis Joplin was
born in Port Arthur which became a booming town due to it being an oil refinery. Throughout the
Story Scars of Sweet Paradise The Life and Times of Janis Joplin, Alice Echols emphasizes where
she was moving towards in her book. Whereas mentioned within the book it seemed that her
relatives/ close friends grew weary of authors coming to them and interviewing about Janis
Joplin. But in the end Echols agreed that she would not hide or remove anything to truly show
how much pain Janis Joplin was in. Janis did not start off as the singer we know her today. Her
childhood, teen age years, as well as her adult life is what I will be discussing is what I will
discuss because in the end they were a cause and effect that led her to become a victim of the 60 s.
At the beginning of the story, Echols proclaims how Janis Joplin came to be ranging from her
parents meeting and settling down to the industrial Port ArthurJanis grew up in. Janis Joplin along
with her music gave an impression that she had a rough childhood. But contrary to her legend,
Janis didn t start out feeling like a nobody in Port Arthur. (pg. 9). Making it seem that later down
the line something must have gone terribly wrong for her to wind up dead due to substance abuse.
Echols later states that Janis s beautiful soprano voice

Descartes Demon Doubt Essay
Throughout the Meditations, Descartes successfully establishes methodical doubt about math and
all sensory information, however, his answer to the doubt cast by the Evil Demon ploy does not
fully relieve the dilemma of skepticism that his intense application of doubt has brought forth.
Ultimately, Descartes is unable to satisfactorily answer the Evil Demon doubt because his argument
does not prove that God s existencewould not prevent the serious errors in judgment and perception
caused by the Evil Demon doubt.
Descartes uses the Evil Demon hypothesis to prove that all one knows for sure is that they exist.
To call reality into doubt, Descartes supposes the existence of an all powerful, evil deceiver, a
supposition which he asserts he cannot know to be false. Descartes supposes that it is conceivable
that this deceiver has tricked him in every moment of what he perceived to be life, such that, every
feeling and every experience Descartes ever had was merely a sequence synthesized by the
deceiver. This being could powerful to not only manipulate our senses, but to cast doubt over other
things such as mathematics. Thus, he renders himself into a state of complete uncertainty and
denial of all known existence, since he cannot be certain that this deceiver does not exist. Any
understanding or knowledge that there is could simply be an illusion or false input. Later,
Descartes refutes the existence of such a being. Instead, he puts forth the assumption of a merciful
God. His

Michelangelo s The Last Judgement Analysis
[1] In Christian theology, it is said that during the Judgement Day , the end of mankind, Jesus
Christ, the Savior of Mankind will depart from Heaven to take his Redeemed saints with him to
Heaven on high. As the intercessor between an omnipotent God and His flawed creations, Christ
is often depicted as a kind, loving peacemaker who understands the struggles of mankind. When
given life in paintings and artwork, He is often draped in white robes, seemingly connoting purity
and peace, with a countenance intended to convince viewers to come to Him for forgiveness and
eternal joy. However, Michelangelo took a dramatically different approach when he was
commissioned to draw the fresco he painted to adorn the altar of the Sistine Chapel.... Show more

Despite all of the piece s efforts to force viewers attention to Christ, His own face is turned away
from the line of sight of the viewer, unlike many contemporary works which focus on His face to
show Him as compassionate and loving. In the absence of loving kindness, he becomes a concrete,
unmoving agent of judgement. His features resemble vengeful and often unsympathetic Greek
deities, a parallel to illustrate how Christ s mercy will be unattainable during the Last Judgement.
Through emphasizing the finite nature of the audience s opportunity to repent from their sins and
seek Christ, The Last Judgement is able to simulate the sense of regret and hopelessness that the
characters in the piece currently have but are unable to do anything about. Thus, by using remorse,
Michelangelo implies that when the Last Judgement does come, the audience too would regret
wrongs in their life that they cannot fix now that Christ s forgiveness has expired. By creating this
dark setting, Michelangelo underscores the idea that all hope will be lost during the Last
Judgement, implying that the audience needs to align their lives with Christ before then. [3]
Through the choice of artistic elements Michelangelo includes, and more importantly chooses not
to include, he is able to achieve a sense of urgency in the work. Typically to underscore the
compassionate love Christ is associated with, He is shown with holes

Seven different Muslim nations decided to join under one banner. While they retain their names,
together they call themselves the United Arab Emirates (UAE). A nation of approximately
5,927,482 people, and the size of the state of Indiana, it is no wonder why they are comprised of
many nationalities. Investigating this nation s culture has been an enlightening experience.
Furthermore, understanding this sovereign states government, culture, and its rich ties to the
United Statesof America, helps to define why both nations come together to defeat terrorism with
combined air defense. In 1971 Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah, and Umm al Qaiwain

They also touch their heads in manner similar to a salute. As you can see, greetings among close
companions in both nations have similar customary actions during their introductions to one
another. Though you see similarities in their greetings, there are stark diversities among the
cultures. Therefore, understanding interactions within Muslim states is important to the overall
concept of their culture. Many American men and women tend to sit with their legs crossed.
There are many occasions when people within the country, sit with their feet propped up on
something. For the American culture, this is a normal action. Showing the sole of your foot to
someone in America does not register as disrespect to Americans. The people of the UAE find
this gesture is a clear sign of disrespect. This article has revealed the cause of this belief is due to
the foot being the lowest part of the body, and because it stays in contact with the ground.
Understanding the way they do their business deals is another way to explain their culture.
Networking the Arabian way or Wasta, is the way the natives explain business dealings with other
people. This means, in order to have a successful business relationship with someone, you must first
build a personal relationship with them. A business relationship built that grows out of a personal
relationship helps to ensure that deals run smoothly and efficiently. The people of UAE learned this

Cloud Gaming
Youjiao Sun, Student,301151619,
Abstract Cloud gaming is a promising solution for players to have high quality gaming experience
using low end devices. Back in the year 2000, it is still a concept introduced by the industry.
Thanks to the recent research progress in cloud related technology, this idea is turning into reality.
Cloud gaming uses the latest cloud based video streaming and server technology to enable
everything you could have on high end ones to run on almost any device.
In this survey, we will have a look at basic structure of cloud gaming, technology used for video
streaming and some real world examples.
Index Terms Cloud Gaming, OnLive, Gaikai, Nvidia.
I. INTRODUCTION
Streaming video and music to TVs, PCs and tablets using cloud services like Netflix, You tube,
Pandora and Spotify has become a popular way to enjoy life. It is almost impossible to refuse the
convenience of cloud managed libraries of content with streaming anywhere capability. Also video
game market has always been a important part for entertainment industries. For example, the
global video game market is expected to grow from 66 billion US dollars in 2010 to
81 billion in 2016. Cloud gaming, renders the gaming application in the cloud remotely and stream
the encoded game scenes to the client over the Internet. The input signals from our controllers are
transmitted back to the cloud server.

Common Themes In The House Of The Scorpions
In the novel House of the Scorpions by Nancy Farmer, the memoir, Where Am I Wearing by
Kelsey Timmerman, and the short story The Scholarship Jacket by Martha Salinas, the common
theme is that a person is always a person, no matter their wealth, their skin color, or even their
birth circumstances. In the House of the Scorpions, an instance that shows this is when Matt
finally listens to what all of his friends have been telling him, about how he is not inferior to them.
Another example that accentuates the theme from Where Am I Wearing is where the reader learns
about the terrible conditions Bangladeshi workers have to suffer through. A final example of the
theme in The Scholarship Jacket is when Martha is denied the jacket because she s poor and
Mexican. A common theme similarly found in The House of the Scorpions by Nancy Farmer, The
Scholarship Jacket by Martha Salinas, and Where Am I Wearing by Kelsey Timmerman is that
everyone is human, no matter their financial status, ethnicity, not to mention circumstances of
birth, and all deserve to be treated the same. In the novel, The House of the Scorpions, an
example of how the theme is aptly portrayed is when Matt understands that he is not inferior to
other humans because he is a clone. A quote from this moment states, Matt had to swallow hard to
keep the tears from rolling down his face. He wasn t alone after all. With friends like these, he
would triumph, as El Patron had triumphed over death and povertyand death so

Turbo charging
2200cc land rover TDCI engine found in the defender range which produces 120Hp (121ps) (90kW)

potential to produce much more Ps/kW, to which in this report the content will discuss the
arguments for and against tuning methods, which tuning packages are better for the puma engine.
Personally the turbocharging option is the way which would work better in my opinion TMD
tuning offer a vast range of solutions which may increase indicated power, such as turbocharging
options boost modules, etc. . . .
Turbo technics technology offer a Hybrid Turbo for the Land rover Defender 2200cc engine
which produces more torque over a wider range compared to the original turbo unit the power
produced is moderately enhanced, this offers better driveability and gives the engine better
responses to which the Defender 90 feels more effective at off roading and handles considerably
better with the right setup for the road.
The 2200cc puma engine is a good four cylinder engine which offers a good torque output and
replaces the TD5 Lump which in comparison seem to have the similar engine output figures, but
the TD5 is not as responsive personally as the TDCI 4 Cylinder Puma engine.

Hilton Head Island
The beach in Hilton Head Island in South Carolina is certainly my favorite place to go. It is the
greatest place to be. Maybe it is the sense of relief with you see the alluring island or maybe it is
when you roll down your window smelling the salty ocean water with the warm breeze hitting
your face, making your hair fly all over the place. Relaxing, sunbathing, and swimming are all
reasons why Hilton Head Island is my favorite place.
As I lay in the red, thin material, swaying hammock next to the roaring ocean water, I begin to
relax. I listen to huge waves hit against the rocky wall that connects the grassy ground to the light
blue ocean water. The longer I lay there the wind begins to pick up causing the hammock to sway
more and more almost touching the tall, wide trees that are holding it up. The sounds of the
rushing waves and the warm misty breeze causes my eyes to get very heavy almost as if I have a
weight on my eyelids weighing them down. I usually end up falling asleep until my family wakes
me up by forcefully shaking me. After I get up we drive down to the pier, so they can play in the
sand while I sunbathe in the fire hot sun.
Sunbathing is another reason Hilton Head Island is my favorite place to be. When I sunbathe I

farther I go out the harder it is to stand up because the powerful waves sweep me off the sandy

Bottoms V. Bottom Case Summary
There is no lack of discrimination in the world today. In 1993, the situation was even worse.
LGBT discrimination was one of the worst. The Supreme Court case Bottoms v. Bottoms is an
excellent example of that. This case features a child custody dispute between a lesbian mother and
a homophobic grandmother on the basis of the mother s sexuality. Why is the fitness of a mother
not being determined by her actions but by her sexuality? This case changed the views of how
homosexual mothers and fathers should be judged as parents and their capabilities. As a result of
this case, a mother ended up childless and an entire community was hurt by this judges ruling. 1993
had very different societal views than 2017. Laws protecting LGBTpeople were... Show more

During this time, the court took many testimonies from many people, including Tyler s father,
Dennis Doustou. He stated that Kay was totally wrong to take Tyler from his mother. (Anderson

caretakers and how them being in a homosexual relationship would physically and emotionally
affect Tyler. It was found that a person s sexual orientationdoes not bear a relation to that person s
fitness as a parent. (McHugh et al. n.p.) It is also stated that many children do not encounter
harassment for having homosexual parents. If any harassment occur, it tends to be harmless verbal
teasing. (McHugh et al. n.p.) It is said that courts considering what is the best interests of the child
with a lesbian or gay parent have viewed the homosexual as a mentally ill person or as a child

emotional differences then if the child were raised in a heterosexual household. ( Bottoms v.

Ancient Greek History And The History Of Ancient Greece
Ancient Greece
The ancient Greeks were unique and had a one of a kind culture which would heavily influence the
Western world. Their literature would bring forth works that intertwined religious, philosophical,
mythological, and political attributes all in one. From the Bronze Age to the Dark Age, the ancient
Greeks would be innovators for practices we have become accustomed to, such as philosophy,
democracy, literature and theatricals. During this time, most that had been illuminated had been
lost in the Dark Ages, yet thanks to Homer, a Greek writer, some of Greeks lost age was recorded
and survived centuries to come. (Damrosch 186) Little is known about the beginning of Greek
civilization; however, Ancient Greececan be traced back to earlier cultures of the Minoans and
Myceneans. (Betts) The Minoans thrived on the island of Crete around 2000 BC. They developed
a writing system called Linear A, which the Myceneans would later adapt to develop the Linear B
writing system. (Mark) According to geological evidence, it is thought that the Minoan civilization
fell due to overuse of land, yet conventionally, history acknowledges that the Myceneans conquered
the Minoans. (Mark) The Myceneans prospered as well and were greatly influenced by the Minoan
civilization, especially establishing the same religious rites and what would later be known as the
pantheon of Ancient Greece. Although archeological evidence isn t clear as to what wiped out and
destroyed the Mycenean

The Effects Of Reporting On Foodborne Diseases
Nikita Patel Introduction to Environmental Health Safety
The Impact of Reporting on Foodborne Diseases
Abstract : Foodborne diseases result from the ingestion of pathogens and parasites, which are
contaminated in foods and food products at different points in the food production and preparation
process. The Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) tracks foodborne diseases through
reports from surveillance systems from state and local health departments, medical professionals,
and laboratories. Though there are many methods of control and prevention within food safety laws,
the chances of underreporting incidents of foodborne diseases are still likely. The underreporting of

Foodborne diseases result from the ingestion of contaminated foods and food products. They
include a broad group of diseases caused by over 200 pathogens, chemicals, and parasites, which

foodborne diseases include: Norovirus, Campylobacteriosis (campylobacter), Escherichia coli (e.

The burden of foodborne illness in the United States is serious; about 1 in 6 people in the United
States get sick each year, 128,000 are hospitalized, and about 3,000 die annually. 2 There are
various agencies (governmental and non governmental) advocating for food safety and the health of
the public. The three federal governmental agencies with the most control on food safety are the
Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Center for

How Not To Get Into College Essay
The Idea of Being Molded
The texts Manhood, by John Wain and How Not to Get Into College, by Alfie Kohn illustrate
similarities and differences that are directly related to the lives of people in today s society. Both
texts represent the idea of rigid social expectations challenging people to re evaluate their
perspectives on intrinsic happiness and to live up to others standards in order to gain approval of
happiness, resulting in extrinsic happiness. In Manhood , the rigid social expectations are portrayed
thorough the relationship between father and son and in How Not to Get into college they are
portrayed through the scenarios of students.
In their texts, Wain and Kohn demonstrate the importance of achieving intrinsic happiness. Often,...

Rob loses his intrinsic happiness to relive his father s dreams of achieving physical heritage
traits. Also, in the Miami Herald newspaper by Cindy Krischer , the son says, ...Too much for
my dad to run the business alone. I felt a responsibility to take an active role . Again, similar to
the character in Wain s, Manhood, the son feels that he has to take on the role of his father. Next,
Kohn s How Not to Get into College demonstrates that there are constant expectations from
teachers and parents of students. The author displays sarcasm in his words when he says, Let
grades control your life. (Kohn 1). He emphasizes that by following these sets of guidelines, one
sacrifices his/her own intrinsic happiness in order to fulfill expectations set by others. Students

Three Day Road Thesis Quotes
The novel Three Day Road, by Joseph Boyden, is, in my opinion, an accurate representation of
some of the many problems that First Nations service members faced during the first world war:
First Nations soldiers battled not only the Triple Entente but also discrimination, bigotry, and closed
mindedness. Every soldier had to cope during, and after, their service with the psychological and
physical traumas of war, isolation, guilt, and even shame. All those factors, coupled with the
instinct survive, are enough to drive anyone to seek something to help them deal with or numb their
pain, whether emotional or physical. There are many examples of the value of First Nations service
members specifically during the first world war. It is unfortunate... Show more content on

In Three Day Road, Xavier voiced this by saying, We all fight on two fronts, the one facing the
enemy, the other facing what we do to the enemy (Boyden, p.301). This quote poetically
summarizes the emotional pain that soldiers are subject to. Service members become
desensitized to the brutality of war. So even after a soldier leaves a battle without physical
injury, he cannot escape the guilt and remorse of the violence he has committed.. Depression
and anxiety disorders can lead to changes in personality and can make it very difficult for
someone to complete basic tasks and take care of themselves. It was almost eight years ago that
retired corporal Joseph Rustenburg took all the sleeping pills and medication he could get his

The Events Of The War On Terror
Miller Porter Sgt. A. Pedry research paper 9/11 was a major focal point on the war on terror. It
changed America in many ways. There are two main view point s that will be gone over in this
research paper. The first and the most vital will be cultural historical viewpoint because it
change Americas culture and how the viewed the world in a major way. The next but less
prominent is top down because in this research paper I will be talking about how the people in
charge reacted to the events that unfolded in 911 how their decisions shaped the world that is
today. These will be the historical viewpoints that will be shown in my research paper. The
events of 911 changed America culturally in multiple ways. It also brought American people in
the light of a new threat, terrorism. This changed America s outlook drastic. On September, 11,

Themes Of Existentialism As A Way Of Life
Existentialism
It is a philosophy which emphasizes individual existence, freedom, and choice. It is the view that
humans define their own meaning in life, and try to make rational decisions despite existing in an
irrational universe. This philosophy focuses on the question of human existence, and the feeling
that there is no purpose or explanation at the core of existence. It holds that, as there is no God or
any other transcendent force, the only way to counter this nothingness (and hence to find meaning
in life) is by embracing existence. Contrary to Absurdism (though it is always connected to it),
which seeks the inherent value and meaning of life and the human inability to find it, Existentialism
is the means of finding a meaning in life and accepting it without question. Existentialism ideas

Existentialism as a Way of Life Philosophy should not be thought of primarily either as an attempt
to investigate and understand the self or the world, or as a special occupation that concerns only a
few. Rather, philosophy must be thought of as fully integrated within life. The concept of
philosophy as a way of life manifests itself in existentialist thought in a number of ways
1.Immanence
Philosophy studies life from the inside. For Kierkegaard, for example, the fundamental truths of my
existence are not representations, rather, the truths of existence are immediately lived, felt and acted.
B. Anxiety and Authenticity Human existence is in some way on its own ; anxiety (or anguish) is
the recognition of this fact. Many existentialists tended to stress the significance of emotions or

Conflict In The Half Mother
The paper presents the current situation of the people of Kashmir. It is the study ofShahnaz
Bashir s The Half Mother. The novels satirize the political and bureaucratic system, India s
tyrannical role and the Military oppression in Kashmir. The title of the paper is The Sufferings and
Struggle of a Mother (Haleema) for her Disappeared Son (Imran) In Shahnaz Bashir s Half Mother.
Kashmiris a very beautiful place and was a princely state up to 1953 with its own prime minister.

Kashmir is the history of struggle, oppression, displacement, killing, murder mystery, rape etc. It
was an independent state, having its own prime minister until 1953. The book details, how in
the 1990s conflict and war in Kashmir, providential and innocent families crumpled, how their
life became a hell, how young boys were arrested and disappeared, how mothers and wives were
not allowed to meet their sons and husbands in jail, and how they were molested, raped and
tormented. How families went from pillar to post in search of their relatives but walked back with
big No , how every politician consoled them, how others even don t listen to them and how
mothers, like Haleema, went to look for their sons till their last breath.
Shahnaz Bashir, in The Half Mother, debates a mother s suffering, struggle and distressed state
after her only son Imran is picked up by the troops. Haleema, the half mother like other myriad
mothers who don t know whether their sons are dead or alive, is tormented by not knowing
whether Imran is dead or alive. She is torn apart by her own lonely existence and develops a habit
of talking to herself, and suffers in insomnia, sleeplessness or

Market Revolution Dbq
Insert Title Before the Market Revolution, America as a whole differed greatly from the America
that had developed during the start of the 19th century. The ideals and values of an American
family life varied from those after the revolution. American economy had relied heavily on
agriculture and people had a more personal work sphere. The government as well, was cautious
when involving itself in the nation s economic affairs. The Market Revolution overall played a big
role in changing American society, economy, and politics by fueling sectionalism, increasing
commercialism, and forcing the government to take on more responsibilities to benefit the nation.

In general, the government helped promote and support businesses in order to advance the U.S.
s economy. Some examples would be the fact that they limited liability and incorporation laws
using charters to protect businesses, provided easy credit for loans, and supported entrepreneurs.
This type of involvement is what closely relates the changes in politics to the changes in
economy. Most of the government s involvement came through the American System. Developed
by Congressman Henry Clay, this system was meant to protect the U.S. industry with tariffs,
initiate internal improvements, and stabilize the economy. Clay s first part of the plan was to
put protective tariffs primarily on European goods. The total value of foreign exports to the U.S.
escalated dramatically in only two years, going from about $13 million (1814) to $151 million
(1816). British goods had unbeatable prices and the competition threatened to eliminate American
businesses. In order to prevent this from happening Clay decided to place taxes on imports which
would ultimately raise European costs to American consumers, shielding the U.S. so they could
survive the competition. Now that Clay had established a safer way to have the government
support the U.S. s foreign affairs, his second part of the system involved domestic improvement.
By the 1820 s, the controversial issue on whether Congress had the power to nationally finance
roads, bridges, harbors, canals, and railroads had finally eased up. Skeptics like Presidents James
Madison and Monroe had finally softened up and agreed that the government should play a larger
role in building the nation s infrastructure (Politics in the Market Revolution). They did this by
making funds accessible to the states as well as coordinating the projects, a good example

Detecting Facial Cues and Body Language
Expressions are very valuable, as they can prompt us regarding opportunities and threats in
individuals and scenarios that we encounter. Happiness indicates an approachable person while
anger signifies someone to stay away from. These two decisions are the most basic and simplest
behavioral decisions.
But sometimes, this decision does go wrong, since humans are after all humans. And along with the
mistake, some circumstances are riskier than others. Such as going up to a vicious person might be
an inherently costly mistake than avoiding a person who is actually safe to approach ( Haselton
Buss, 2000).
A highly adapted system of perception might be more attuned to locating cues that would signify
danger, such as the facial intensity in locating hints of anger, in individuals who seem to possess the
capability in dealing out more harm as distinguished by their built, carrying armaments and other
details. Some might not even present any immediate risk, but overlooking an identifying cue that
could indicate the stranger being harmful is a costly mistake due to bodily harm being a possibility
than when seeing such cues where there are none.
Approach, on the other hand, is a tricky matter. And as such, people afford opportunities that are
positive. Failing in getting into contact with a person who presents a favorable opportunity,
whether it is related to providing social support or willing to share resources, may be costly as well
but not overly damaging. And as such, a tuned

William Shakespeare s Hamlet And Macbeth
The use of supernatural has always been a popular yet successful choice of film makers and

reader which consists heroes with desires of the supernatural ending up in a tragedy. Through their
use of ghostand the supernatural, we can see the similarities and differences of the plays that will
help effectively for a wider understanding of the plays and its themes. Shakespeare starts Macbeth
with a supernatural scene with 3 witches as the evil. Hamleton the other hand, starts with a similar
style of use by including ghost of Hamlet s father in its story. However, in both plays,
differentiating between good and evil of the supernatural was not sure of the protagonists.
Moreover, the supernatural lead the heroes into pitfall of characters in both. The use of leading
the protagonists to a bad outcome is both present in these plays. In Macbeth, he won t feel the urge
to murder the king if the three witches didn t make him to such evil deeds, causing him to not
change his ways such as killing everyone in his path. Hamlet on the other hand leads the same
structure, where seeing the ghost of his father leads to a tragic fight in the end, losing his live. If

Exegetical Paper On I Corinthians 7
In I Corinthians 7, Paul declares that abandonment by an unbelieving spouse constitutes grounds
for a valid divorce. Paul clearly identifies this as an expansion of what Jesus has said (Matt. 5:31
32, 19:3 9) for he says, I say, not the Lord. As such, we can conclude that Paul considered his
expansion to be consistent with Jesus s teaching on divorce, even if Jesus himself had not
explicitly taught it (or at least it wasn t recorded). What we see in these two texts is a breakdown
of the marriagecovenant; one spouse (or perhaps both) has decided to no longer be in covenant with
the other either by means of their unfaithful sexual behavior or by abandoning the other (including
circumstances such as abuse). What we can understand from this... Show more content on

As such, when this happens, there are grounds for a permissible divorce, as one spouse has utterly
shattered the marriage covenant with their spouse and God. Now, there is an obvious tension here.
Jesus reveals the spirit of the law within the SOM namely, that marriage was sacred, an echo of
God s covenant love, and now we are talking about permissible reasons for divorce. Paul s point
wasn t that we should seek our reason for a permissible divorce. Rather, Paul insists that we must
not be quick to jump at divorce, trying to find a reason or an excuse to get out. Divorce is
permissible in some situations, but it is rarely required. Divorce is a last resort when one spouse
s heart has been so hardened that they refuse to be before God and with and for their spouse as
echo of God s covenant love. But, what I believe Paul is articulating in this passage is that it is also
wrong to demand one to stay in a marriage that is no long a true marriage as one part has broken
the covenant. So much more to say and clarify, but alas I ve already blown passed 150

Monk s Character And Personality
The flaws in the character, Adrian Monk, are probably for the plot of the show. Monk s unique
character and personality are due to his OCD. As mentioned in the earlier, the detective
developed his obsessive compulsive disorder after the murder of his wife Judy in a car bomb.
The death traumatized the renowned detective and led to him trying to solve the murder
mystery throughout the series. Monk s OCD case would be considered an acquired type
(Pitman). There has been a similar case to Monk. In a study by Pitman, a 59 year old woman
developed OCD and phobias after seeing the charred body of her daughter. The two cases of
OCD have both been acquired after the two patients were traumatized by the death of their loved
ones. Similar to OCD, a traumatic event may trigger the development of a phobia (mayoclinic2).
In the series, Adrian Monk is revealed to have an older brother named Ambrose Monk. As stated
in Mr. Monk and the Three Pies, Ambrose spent 32 years in his home without ever leaving it due
to his agoraphobia or fearof open places. In a slideshow produced by WebMD, there is a statement
stating immediate family members of people with phobias are three times more likely to develop a
phobia than those without a family history, therefore it is not a coincidence that Adrian and
Ambrose have both developed phobias. Researchers at the Emory University School of Medicine
have discovered that mice can pass on learned information about traumatic or stressful experiences.

Water And Water Pollution In The St. Johns River
The St. Johns River is suffering from a significant environmental disaster because of toxic
substances from municipal and industrial wastewater, fertilizer runoff, failing septic tanks, and
stormwater. Consequently, over 55% of the river miles, 80.4% of acres of large water bodies, 59.4
% of estuaries, and 31.4% of coastline miles do not meet water quality standards in Florida (Florida
Department of Environmental Protection 119). For that matter, studying those pollution problems
that the riverfaces is vital since one can use this information to salvage the natural resource which is
at the brink of destruction.
Often, toxic substances are being drained into the air, waterways, and undergrounds wells.
According to the report by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), over 60 million pounds of
deadly chemicals are produced by industries in Florida. Notably, Florida s water has been suffering
mercury contamination until the state s department of migration issues a circular regularly for

bodies. Not to mention, pesticides and herbicides utilized by government and homeowners pollute
the environment (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission). Indeed, all chemicals
released into the atmosphere find themselves in rivers.

Heavy Metal Music Disorders
anger disorders tend to be more attracted to heavy metal music.
What is heavy metal music? In 1985, the parents of John McCollum filed a civil suit against
Ozzy Osborne citing that it was the music and lyrical content of Ozzy s album that resulted in
their son s suicide in 1984. John had been listening to Osborne s music when he put a gun to his

Ozzy was their son s idol, he influenced John to commit suicide through the spoken words of his

Energy Pollution
Introduction Increasing carbon emissions are becoming a large problem when considering
global warming. The high energy intensity transportation sector contributes substantially to
global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and primary energy consumption, with emissions and
energy use steadily increasing as the population grows (IEA 2013; Pollet et al. 2012; World
Energy Council 2007). More than half of these vehicles are personal vehicles (EPA 2014; Li
Shimamoto 2011) with a substantial percentage ( 90%) of transport energy coming from fossil
fuels, which is inherently coupled with GHG emissions and air pollutants (Avci et al. 2015;
Ribeiro et al. 2007). Environmental damage, stricter emissions regulations and depleting oil
resources causing economic issues have all motivated research on energy transition away from
fossil fuels seeing many automotive manufacturers adopting new technologies (Chiara Canova
2013; Dings, T E 2011; US EPA 2013). Therefore, a revolution in the automotive and fuel
industries will prevail in years to come. It is essential to alter society s current reliance on fossil fuel
based transportation to decrease the large carbon footprint of the transportation sector, therefore the
development of alternative sustainable fuels is imperative not only for the protection of the
environment, but for the maintenance of energy security. Environmental and economic issues can
be addressed by substituting current fossil fuel based transportation with low carbon,

The Koreans started a civil war, then split into North and South, and each side gained its own
supporters or allies, and eventually the war was ceased.
Not surprisingly that the Chinese and the North Korean began to spread the rumors that the United
States was defeated and was kicked out of Korea. Furthermore, the Chinese described their action in
assisting the North as revolting Americans, supporting North Koreans, protecting North Korea from
the invasion of United States. While they might have their own perspectives but it is obvious that
the truth was twisted and the neutrality of tone was distorted.
Another paradigm of the Vietnam War, also known as the Second Indochina War, is
quintessentially a controversial battle with the involvement of the United States. This war was

The Death Penalty Is A Form Of Cruel And Unusual Punishment
The death penalty till this day remains to be a very controversial topic. Some people may argue
that it should be considered a form of cruel and unusual punishment; others may rebuttal in
saying that the death penalty is capital punishment. When visiting the idea of placing someone
to death one must bear in mind the possibility of condemning an innocent person through such
torture, the brutalizing effect on society it may leave, and the serious psychological trauma that
a defendants family and friends may face. Is this really what the justice system is willing to
place on the line in order to gain a form of so called justice. I mean reasonably speaking what will
anyone gain from such an action. It definitely will not bring the harm to be undone. As stated in
the encyclopedia under the theory of judicial torture the use of torture was confined to capital
crimes, for which the death penalty or mutilation could apply (PIHLAJAM, 2004). Looking at
how the death penalty is conducted people should not be treated like animals, given a due time to
be put down. No human being deserves such treatment whether or not his or her offense was so
horrific and traumatic. Is that not the lesson being taught to society when the criminal is captured?
Yet, the law as a jury of peers, men just like the accused, may cast the same sin upon him. Why
should this action be considered in any way to be fair or believed to be capital punishment?
If we look back from 1927 until 2011 there have been

1. Introduction
Subsidy is known as the payments or money given to individuals, firms or organisations by the
government, in order to help them financially. In this essay, it will be discussed that, three main
reasons for a government to subsidise a product, in terms of ensuring local output, improving
people s health, and helping low income families. However, issues will be bought while granting
subsidies, therefore, two cautions will also be suggested regarding the problem of inefficiency and
damages to foreign producers who are not receiving subsidies.
2. Reasons for a government to subsidise a product
2.1 To ensure local output
One of the reasons for a government to give subsidies is to ensure local output. Government will
give out subsidies to local sectors, like farms and small businesses, helping them to set up or to
continue their production. Although there are always imported goods from other countries, they
cannot be fully relied on. Take agricultural production as an example, China
ECONOMICS ESSAY !1
пїјexports a large amount of agricultural goods to other places that have very few or no
agricultural outputs, if there is a drought in China, those receiving the output might suffer from lack
of food or have to accept the higher price from other countries. Therefore, in order to ensure local
output for daily necessities like food, the government will subsidise this kind of productions. In
America, there are food that the government is paying to produce, among all,

Polyethylene Glycol 3353 Lab
Question of the day: What factors correlate to the time it takes for polyethylene glycol 3350 to
dissolve?
Hypothesis: Dissolve time has a direct negative correlation to temperature.
Experimental Method: Polyethylene glycol 3350(PEG) was placed in water in order to measure
the amount of time it took for the PEG to dissolve. The amount of both PEG and water were the
same for each trial, the only changing factor was the temperature of the water. Timing started the
moment PEG was placed into water, and the timer was stopped once PEG was dissolved.

Who Is To Blame For The Death Of Romeo And Juliet Essay
Do you believe that true love will be together forever? Sometimes that is true, but other times it
is not a good thing. In the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet fall
in love but it would never work out because their families are mortal enemies. Both Romeo and
Juliet end up killing themselves for each other, and Romeo, Juliet, and Friar Lawrence are to
blame for the deaths of the young lovers and why each one holds a big responsibility to the
deaths. Romeo is the biggest reason for the death of the young lovers because he came on to
Juliet at the party. At the party for the Capulets, Romeo went over to Juliet and was trying to
seduce her by saying, If I profane with my unworthiest hand/This holy shrine, the gentle sin this
/My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand/To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss
(1.5.92 95). If Romeo did not try to come on to Juliet then she would of gone with Paris like her
father wanted her to and Juliet would not of had to go behind everyone s back and marry Romeo.
Clearly, If Romeo did not come on to Juliet then none of this would of happened, so that is why
Romeo is the most responsible for his and Juliet s death.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the book Juliet responds to Romeo seducing her and she hinted that she wants to kiss him,
this is what she said. Good Pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much,/ which mannerly
devotion shows in this;/For saints have hands that pilgrims hands do touch,/And palm to palm is
a holy pilgrims kiss (1.5.96 99). If she did not say Placing palm on palm is a holy pilgrims kiss,
then Romeo would not of kept on trying to win her over and then she would not of faked her
death to run away with Romeo. Clearly, Juliet also has some weight on her shoulders because of

China s Reform And Opening Up As the three FIE Laws were introduced at the start of China s reform and opening up, they serve as fundamental laws for foreign investment issues in China for almost 40 years. However, because of the rapid and deeper development of China s economy in recent years, these laws face a number of issues. 1.1.Conflicts with the Company Law Under current relevant laws and regulation, foreign investors have several options to set up their businesses in China. They can establish corporations in the form of EJVs, CJVs or WFOEs under the EJV law, CJV law or WFOE law respectively. As the FIE laws do not mention this matter, limited liability FIEs like EJVs should also comply with Article 52. However, under the FIE laws, shareholders meeting is not regarded as an authoritative body and therefore there is no provision or framework for FIEs to deal with the shareholders voting procedures. Although the board of directors, which is the highest authority under the FIE laws, can appoint supervisors, the appointment would be inappropriate and doubtable because supervisors responsibility is to supervise those directors . 1.2.Excessive regulation of foreign invested enterprises According to the current FIE laws, a case by case approval system is applied to all FIEs. Obtaining of positive approvals for investment projects from National Development and Reform Commission ( NDRC ) is the first step; Afterwards, approval for establishment should be acquired from MOFCOM; In order to operate the firm, a business license, which is granted by the State Administration of Industry and Commerce ( SAIC ), is required . Meant that Janis knew that she would not fit in and that there was something out there for her. Janis Joplin was born in Port Arthur which became a booming town due to it being an oil refinery. Throughout the Story Scars of Sweet Paradise The Life and Times of Janis Joplin, Alice Echols emphasizes where she was moving towards in her book. Whereas mentioned within the book it seemed that her relatives/ close friends grew weary of authors coming to them and interviewing about Janis Joplin. But in the end Echols agreed that she would not hide or remove anything to truly show how much pain Janis Joplin was in. Janis did not start off as the singer we know her today. Her childhood, teen age years, as well as her adult life is what I will be discussing is what I will discuss because in the end they were a cause and effect that led her to become a victim of the 60 s. At the beginning of the story, Echols proclaims how Janis Joplin came to be ranging from her parents meeting and settling down to the industrial Port ArthurJanis grew up in. Janis Joplin along with her music gave an impression that she had a rough childhood. But contrary to her legend, Janis didn t start out feeling like a nobody in Port Arthur. (pg. 9). • 4. Descartes Demon Doubt Essay Throughout the Meditations, Descartes successfully establishes methodical doubt about math and all sensory information, however, his answer to the doubt cast by the Evil Demon ploy does not fully relieve the dilemma of skepticism that his intense application of doubt has brought forth. Ultimately, Descartes is unable to satisfactorily answer the Evil Demon doubt because his argument does not prove that God s existencewould not prevent the serious errors in judgment and perception caused by the Evil Demon doubt. Descartes uses the Evil Demon hypothesis to prove that all one knows for sure is that they exist. To call reality into doubt, Descartes supposes the existence of an all powerful, evil deceiver, a supposition which he asserts he cannot know to be false. Descartes supposes that it is conceivable that this deceiver has tricked him in every moment of what he perceived to be life, such that, every feeling and every experience Descartes ever had was merely a sequence synthesized by the deceiver. This being could powerful to not only manipulate our senses, but to cast doubt over other things such as mathematics. Thus, he renders himself into a state of complete uncertainty and denial of all known existence, since he cannot be certain that this deceiver does not exist. Any understanding or knowledge that there is could simply be an illusion or false input. Later, Descartes refutes the existence of such a being. Instead, he puts forth the assumption of a merciful God. His ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Michelangelo s The Last Judgement Analysis [1] In Christian theology, it is said that during the Judgement Day , the end of mankind, Jesus Christ, the Savior of Mankind will depart from Heaven to take his Redeemed saints with him to Heaven on high. As the intercessor between an omnipotent God and His flawed creations, Christ is often depicted as a kind, loving peacemaker who understands the struggles of mankind. When given life in paintings and artwork, He is often draped in white robes, seemingly connoting purity and peace, with a countenance intended to convince viewers to come to Him for forgiveness and eternal joy. However, Michelangelo took a dramatically different approach when he was commissioned to draw the fresco he painted to adorn the altar of the Sistine Chapel.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Despite all of the piece s efforts to force viewers attention to Christ, His own face is turned away from the line of sight of the viewer, unlike many contemporary works which focus on His face to show Him as compassionate and loving. In the absence of loving kindness, he becomes a concrete, unmoving agent of judgement. His features resemble vengeful and often unsympathetic Greek deities, a parallel to illustrate how Christ s mercy will be unattainable during the Last Judgement. Through emphasizing the finite nature of the audience s opportunity to repent from their sins and seek Christ, The Last Judgement is able to simulate the sense of regret and hopelessness that the characters in the piece currently have but are unable to do anything about. Thus, by using remorse, Michelangelo implies that when the Last Judgement does come, the audience too would regret wrongs in their life that they cannot fix now that Christ s forgiveness has expired. By creating this dark setting, Michelangelo underscores the idea that all hope will be lost during the Last Judgement, implying that the audience needs to align their lives with Christ before then. [3] Through the choice of artistic elements Michelangelo includes, and more importantly chooses not to include, he is able to achieve a sense of urgency in the work. Typically to underscore the compassionate love Christ is associated with, He is shown with holes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Common Themes In The House Of The Scorpions In the novel House of the Scorpions by Nancy Farmer, the memoir, Where Am I Wearing by Kelsey Timmerman, and the short story The Scholarship Jacket by Martha Salinas, the common theme is that a person is always a person, no matter their wealth, their skin color, or even their birth circumstances. In the House of the Scorpions, an instance that shows this is when Matt finally listens to what all of his friends have been telling him, about how he is not inferior to them. Another example that accentuates the theme from Where Am I Wearing is where the reader learns about the terrible conditions Bangladeshi workers have to suffer through. A final example of the theme in The Scholarship Jacket is when Martha is denied the jacket because she s poor and Mexican. A common theme similarly found in The House of the Scorpions by Nancy Farmer, The Scholarship Jacket by Martha Salinas, and Where Am I Wearing by Kelsey Timmerman is that everyone is human, no matter their financial status, ethnicity, not to mention circumstances of birth, and all deserve to be treated the same. In the novel, The House of the Scorpions, an example of how the theme is aptly portrayed is when Matt understands that he is not inferior to other humans because he is a clone. Maybe it is the sense of relief with you see the alluring island or maybe it is when you roll down your window smelling the salty ocean water with the warm breeze hitting your face, making your hair fly all over the place. Relaxing, sunbathing, and swimming are all reasons why Hilton Head Island is my favorite place. As I lay in the red, thin material, swaying hammock next to the roaring ocean water, I begin to relax. I listen to huge waves hit against the rocky wall that connects the grassy ground to the light blue ocean water. The longer I lay there the wind begins to pick up causing the hammock to sway more and more almost touching the tall, wide trees that are holding it up. The sounds of the rushing waves and the warm misty breeze causes my eyes to get very heavy almost as if I have a weight on my eyelids weighing them down. I usually end up falling asleep until my family wakes me up by forcefully shaking me. After I get up we drive down to the pier, so they can play in the sand while I sunbathe in the fire hot sun. The Supreme Court case Bottoms v. Bottoms is an excellent example of that. Their literature would bring forth works that intertwined religious, philosophical, mythological, and political attributes all in one. From the Bronze Age to the Dark Age, the ancient Greeks would be innovators for practices we have become accustomed to, such as philosophy, democracy, literature and theatricals. During this time, most that had been illuminated had been lost in the Dark Ages, yet thanks to Homer, a Greek writer, some of Greeks lost age was recorded and survived centuries to come. It is the view that humans define their own meaning in life, and try to make rational decisions despite existing in an irrational universe. This philosophy focuses on the question of human existence, and the feeling that there is no purpose or explanation at the core of existence. It holds that, as there is no God or any other transcendent force, the only way to counter this nothingness (and hence to find meaning in life) is by embracing existence. How families went from pillar to post in search of their relatives but walked back with big No , how every politician consoled them, how others even don t listen to them and how mothers, like Haleema, went to look for their sons till their last breath. • 22. Market Revolution Dbq Insert Title Before the Market Revolution, America as a whole differed greatly from the America that had developed during the start of the 19th century. The ideals and values of an American family life varied from those after the revolution. American economy had relied heavily on agriculture and people had a more personal work sphere. The government as well, was cautious when involving itself in the nation s economic affairs. The Market Revolution overall played a big role in changing American society, economy, and politics by fueling sectionalism, increasing commercialism, and forcing the government to take on more responsibilities to benefit the nation. Society was one of the main elements of America to be impacted by the Market Revolution.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In general, the government helped promote and support businesses in order to advance the U.S. s economy. Some examples would be the fact that they limited liability and incorporation laws using charters to protect businesses, provided easy credit for loans, and supported entrepreneurs. This type of involvement is what closely relates the changes in politics to the changes in economy. Most of the government s involvement came through the American System. Developed by Congressman Henry Clay, this system was meant to protect the U.S. industry with tariffs, initiate internal improvements, and stabilize the economy. Clay s first part of the plan was to put protective tariffs primarily on European goods. The total value of foreign exports to the U.S. escalated dramatically in only two years, going from about $13 million (1814) to $151 million (1816). British goods had unbeatable prices and the competition threatened to eliminate American businesses. In order to prevent this from happening Clay decided to place taxes on imports which would ultimately raise European costs to American consumers, shielding the U.S. so they could survive the competition. Now that Clay had established a safer way to have the government support the U.S. s foreign affairs, his second part of the system involved domestic improvement. By the 1820 s, the controversial issue on whether Congress had the power to nationally finance roads, bridges, harbors, canals, and railroads had finally eased up. Skeptics like Presidents James Madison and Monroe had finally softened up and agreed that the government should play a larger role in building the nation s infrastructure (Politics in the Market Revolution). They did this by making funds accessible to the states as well as coordinating the projects, a good example ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 23. Detecting Facial Cues and Body Language Expressions are very valuable, as they can prompt us regarding opportunities and threats in individuals and scenarios that we encounter. Happiness indicates an approachable person while anger signifies someone to stay away from. These two decisions are the most basic and simplest behavioral decisions. But sometimes, this decision does go wrong, since humans are after all humans. And along with the mistake, some circumstances are riskier than others. Such as going up to a vicious person might be an inherently costly mistake than avoiding a person who is actually safe to approach ( Haselton Buss, 2000). A highly adapted system of perception might be more attuned to locating cues that would signify danger, such as the facial intensity in locating hints of anger, in individuals who seem to possess the capability in dealing out more harm as distinguished by their built, carrying armaments and other details. Some might not even present any immediate risk, but overlooking an identifying cue that could indicate the stranger being harmful is a costly mistake due to bodily harm being a possibility than when seeing such cues where there are none. Approach, on the other hand, is a tricky matter. And as such, people afford opportunities that are positive. Failing in getting into contact with a person who presents a favorable opportunity, whether it is related to providing social support or willing to share resources, may be costly as well but not overly damaging. • 30. Exegetical Paper On I Corinthians 7 In I Corinthians 7, Paul declares that abandonment by an unbelieving spouse constitutes grounds for a valid divorce. Paul clearly identifies this as an expansion of what Jesus has said (Matt. 5:31 32, 19:3 9) for he says, I say, not the Lord. As such, we can conclude that Paul considered his expansion to be consistent with Jesus s teaching on divorce, even if Jesus himself had not explicitly taught it (or at least it wasn t recorded). What we see in these two texts is a breakdown of the marriagecovenant; one spouse (or perhaps both) has decided to no longer be in covenant with the other either by means of their unfaithful sexual behavior or by abandoning the other (including circumstances such as abuse). What we can understand from this... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jesus reveals the spirit of the law within the SOM namely, that marriage was sacred, an echo of God s covenant love, and now we are talking about permissible reasons for divorce. Paul s point wasn t that we should seek our reason for a permissible divorce. Rather, Paul insists that we must not be quick to jump at divorce, trying to find a reason or an excuse to get out. Divorce is permissible in some situations, but it is rarely required. Divorce is a last resort when one spouse s heart has been so hardened that they refuse to be before God and with and for their spouse as echo of God s covenant love. The death traumatized the renowned detective and led to him trying to solve the murder mystery throughout the series. Monk s OCD case would be considered an acquired type (Pitman). There has been a similar case to Monk. In a study by Pitman, a 59 year old woman developed OCD and phobias after seeing the charred body of her daughter. The two cases of OCD have both been acquired after the two patients were traumatized by the death of their loved ones. Similar to OCD, a traumatic event may trigger the development of a phobia (mayoclinic2). In the series, Adrian Monk is revealed to have an older brother named Ambrose Monk. • 37. Energy Pollution Introduction Increasing carbon emissions are becoming a large problem when considering global warming. The high energy intensity transportation sector contributes substantially to global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and primary energy consumption, with emissions and energy use steadily increasing as the population grows (IEA 2013; Pollet et al. 2012; World Energy Council 2007). More than half of these vehicles are personal vehicles (EPA 2014; Li Shimamoto 2011) with a substantial percentage ( 90%) of transport energy coming from fossil fuels, which is inherently coupled with GHG emissions and air pollutants (Avci et al. 2015; Ribeiro et al. 2007). Environmental damage, stricter emissions regulations and depleting oil resources causing economic issues have all motivated research on energy transition away from fossil fuels seeing many automotive manufacturers adopting new technologies (Chiara Canova 2013; Dings, T E 2011; US EPA 2013). Therefore, a revolution in the automotive and fuel industries will prevail in years to come. It is essential to alter society s current reliance on fossil fuel based transportation to decrease the large carbon footprint of the transportation sector, therefore the development of alternative sustainable fuels is imperative not only for the protection of the environment, but for the maintenance of energy security. Some people may argue that it should be considered a form of cruel and unusual punishment; others may rebuttal in saying that the death penalty is capital punishment. When visiting the idea of placing someone to death one must bear in mind the possibility of condemning an innocent person through such torture, the brutalizing effect on society it may leave, and the serious psychological trauma that a defendants family and friends may face. Is this really what the justice system is willing to place on the line in order to gain a form of so called justice. I mean reasonably speaking what will anyone gain from such an action. As stated in the encyclopedia under the theory of judicial torture the use of torture was confined to capital crimes, for which the death penalty or mutilation could apply (PIHLAJAM, 2004). • 48. Who Is To Blame For The Death Of Romeo And Juliet Essay Do you believe that true love will be together forever? Sometimes that is true, but other times it is not a good thing. In the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet fall in love but it would never work out because their families are mortal enemies. Both Romeo and Juliet end up killing themselves for each other, and Romeo, Juliet, and Friar Lawrence are to blame for the deaths of the young lovers and why each one holds a big responsibility to the deaths. Romeo is the biggest reason for the death of the young lovers because he came on to Juliet at the party. At the party for the Capulets, Romeo went over to Juliet and was trying to seduce her by saying, If I profane with my unworthiest hand/This holy shrine, the gentle sin this /My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand/To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss (1.5.92 95). If Romeo did not try to come on to Juliet then she would of gone with Paris like her father wanted her to and Juliet would not of had to go behind everyone s back and marry Romeo. Clearly, If Romeo did not come on to Juliet then none of this would of happened, so that is why Romeo is the most responsible for his and Juliet s death.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Clearly, Juliet also has some weight on her shoulders because of the deaths of Romeo and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
