Targeting Perfection
When designing SHIELD SIGHTS, if something is not
required it is not added to our products. We pay attention to
the key elements which will rapidly improve our customers
shooting ability. These include our sight height over bore
line which assists the shooters ability to acquire the
sight picture early, the overall size to ensure the sight is
not obtrusive or large and does not dull, dim or obscure
information from the shooters field of view. These are
critical aspects in any shooting environment.

About Us
Since the original design in 1996, SHIELD continues to
manufacture the world’s smallest, lightest, toughest mini
red dot sight. Sold under other brand names for many years,
you may know the SHIELD Mini Sight as the Firepoint, Tasco
Optima, Trijicon RedDot or JPoint.
Based on our in-depth knowledge, accumulated through 30
years in the industry, we are continually seeking to develop
innovative products that will enable you to hit the target

From the first Fire Point optic, the
SHIELD mounting footprint has
remained the same and continues to
be a key part of our design philosophy.
All current and future projects retain
the standard SHIELD footprint with
industry also choosing to adopt it.
Our reinforced heavy duty hood
provides increased levels of protection
to our RMSc / RMS2 / RMSd and
RMSw products, affording the user
higher levels of protection when the
need arises and the ability to remove it
when a low profile finish is required.
This is achieved with our electronics
being enclosed behind our gasket
sealing system and allows the optic to
be used after submergence to depths
of 30 feet for 30 minutes
Offering the user a choice of two lens
options, our new crystal clear 1x Hard
Dip Coated acrylic lens offers better
impact resistance with our glass lens

SMS The sight body is moulded from glass filled Nylon which is
found in many pistol grips and proves to be more resilient
and lightweight than other reflex sights on the market.
This Crystal Clear 1x Hard Dip Coated Acrylic Lens can
withstand up to ten times greater shock impact than
comparable products using glass.
Unlike many competing products, the Mini Sight is designed
without a red reflective filter on the lens to ensure minimal
visual signature.

Being an OEM part for many manufacturers, the SMSc offers maximum features with minimal outlay.
Multiple lens options allow users a choice based on budget or application.
Chosen by Springfield as a OEM component at launch on the Hellcat and continues to be sold with this
fantastic EDC pistol.

Our entry level product with no sacrifice on features.
The SHIELD Mini Sight 2 (SMS2) is the all new version of our famous original mini sight. The first red dot sight developed solely
for pistols. For the SMS2 and SMSc we returned to a Glass filled nylon body, its incredible strength and durability combined
with a low price point allow it to come as an OEM part on many handguns with more and more manufacturers featuring a
polymer grip.
Staying true to SHIELD’s philosophy, the SMS2’s minimal profile and clean housing allow for a sight picture as close to the bore
line as possible resulting in faster sight acquisition and the ability to “Shoot Early”.

Warranty – SHIELD Products
Products designed and manufactured by SHIELD carry a Limited Lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship.
7 year warranty on electronics.
Goods being returned under warranty claim must be notified in writing, clearly stating: date of purchase, place of purchase,
exact nature of the fault and claim, circumstances under which the fault occurred.
Where SHIELD agrees to the return of the goods under warranty, it will either arrange for the goods to be collected at its own
cost or agree to reimburse the customer all reasonable costs. This may include the supply of goods or service in lieu of a
monetary value.
Excluded from warranty are all consumable items [e.g. batteries], wear and tear.
The Company reserves the right to refute claims where goods have been used for anything other than their intended purpose.

RMSd Sharing the same characteristics as our RMS2, the RMSd
offers users the ability to change the battery without having
to remove the optic from the firearm. Battery life is slightly
reduced as we wanted to keep the same form factor in the
product, this was made possible with the use of the CR1632
battery.

When GLOCK decided which mounting system to use on the G43X range, we were extremely
happy to see they had chosen our standard SHIELD footprint. To us, it has always been the
best way to mount an optic when a direct slide mount is required which also needs to provide
the lowest sight over bore.
Our footprint combined with the RMSc has proven to be a winning combination.

The RMSx was specifically designed to answer the call from IPSC and USPSA competitive shooters for a SHIELD product with
a larger lens. 80% larger than our current Mini-Sight range and new for 2023, a Crystal Clear colour free glass lens, the RMSx’s
increased viewing area combined with a clean and unobtrusive frame allows for an open and uninterrupted sight picture when
competing at the highest levels. The increased area of the lens enables you to find the dot earlier and maintain an acceptable
sight picture whilst moving or entering and exiting positions. Being able to stay on the dot during recoil also allows for faster
follow up shots. With its increased size, the RMSx still retains our famous SHIELD Footprint, enabling it to be installed on to any
existing mount or slide cut and is meticulously machined to have a sharp, modern look.
The RMSx is the first sight to be delivered with our new increased efficiency LED and utilises the proven electronics that have
enabled our shooters to pass 70,000 rounds without issue.

Building on the success of the RMS and with a requirement to meet the demands of Military and Law enforcement, the RMSw
was created to fill that void.
A newly designed aerospace grade aluminium body and watertight gasket seal provide additional protection from
environmental factors whilst retaining all the unique SHIELD qualities. Its patented mechanism allows the RMSw to be sealed
and yet still offer a co-witness.
Gasket sealed to create a watertight fit between the slide and the battery compartment without the need for additional
mounting plates, it will remain watertight at depths of up to 30 feet for over 30 minutes. An optional plate is available for
installations on narrow frames that result in an overhang of the sight.
A reinforced aluminium lens housing and revamped side profile provide a remarkable 30% increase in strength over its
predecessor with the option of the Armor hood extending those levels of protection even further.

Imortalised
The award winning CQB was immortalised in The
Iraq and Afghanistan Memorial located in Victoria
Embankment Gardens in London.
The CQB evolved into a civilian version the CQS (Close
Quarter Sportsight) with a new version coming soon.

This also lead to the SIS and Newly released SIS2 a
highly capable Military Grade Closed emitter optic with
Switchable reticles and Auto and Manual Brightness
Adjustment.

CQB
In 2011, SHIELD won the tender for the UK Ministry of
Defence F.I.S.T (Future Integrated Soldier Technology)
contract, beating Trijicon’s RMR with the CQB. The Close
Quarter Battlesight was designed to withstand the rigors
of modern warfare and close quarter combat providing an
alternative to their magnified optic. Custom mounted to
their ELCAN or other optics, SHIELD have provided over
100,000 sights that have supported our troops in combat
across multiple theatres.

SIS2 was born out of the CQB, the UK MoD Close Quarter Battlesight. The SIS2 advances from where the CQB design was
finished, adding two switches enabled the introduction of 12 manual brightness levels, 3 auto levels and the ability to change
reticle.
Ruggedised design, enclosed red dot for use as primary or secondary sighting system on any rifle or SMG. Provided with a

We offer either a Crystal Clear 1x Hard Dip Coated Acrylic Lens or Colour Free Glass lens for many of our product lines. Each
one offers a different set of benefits and can be tailored to the needs of the specific user or application.
Our Hard Dip Coated Acrylic Lens includes a specialised coating to help reduce glare and provide a toughened surface to
avoid scratches. One of the key benefits of our durable acrylic lens is its resistance to shattering. In the event of an impact or
damage, the lens will not shatter and still provide a sight picture to enable you to carry on the task at hand. A secondary benefit
is weight saving and when combined with our reinforced glass nylon bodies keeps not only the reciprocating mass low but also
provides a price point welcomed by many.
Using only premium glass, our Colour Free Glass lens offers unparalleled optical clarity and a real world view with no
colouration or magnification. Its scratch resistant coating provides a layer of protection from impacts and damage whilst
remaining easy to clean with everyday products.

Our two body options will seamlessly integrate with your choice of lens, whether it’s our SMS range with its glass reinforced
nylon body, or our RMS range utilising aerospace grade aluminium, SHIELD has a combination which is right for you.
The Glass reinforced nylon body is found throughout our SMS range and offers a strength and flexibility not often seen in
today’s market. Having been in service since 1996 and with only minor changes, it continues to provide customers with an
option when simplicity and function still sit on top of their requirements. Its ability to withstand impacts and abrasions makes
it a firm favourite with many manufacturers today and continues to be supplied as an OEM component on many of the most
popular firearms. Weighing in at only 10.95 grams/0.38 ounces, it remains one of the lightest and feature rich products today.
Aerospace grade aluminium was our only real choice when designing the bodies in our RMS line of optics. Providing increased
strength and durability, it also looks good and offers customers a choice of a more aesthetically pleasing product with many
new design queues and features. These features also allow us to include an industry first in the form of our Armour hood. This
takes the RMS line to the next level and offers even more function when using the optic in firearm manipulations. Weighing
in at 17.5 grams/0.61 ounces, it offers a nominal increase over the nylon body but offers customers additional options when
choosing an application for the optic with our customizer offering further colour choices too.

Retaining SHIELD’s standard footprint whilst offering a feature rich product, the AMS offers our widest choice of manual and
automatic control with 12 stages in manual mode including 3 specifically for night vision, 3 stage auto brightness allowing it
to run in “always on” mode for rapid deployment. Having no click adjustment allows for a much more accurate zero with wider
limits of elevation and windage. Machined from Aerospace grade aluminium with a crystal clear glass window, the AMS gives
the user a uncoloured sight picture in our most robust body form to date.
A switch-able user interface allows users a choice of reticule and the ability to change on the fly. This function is available only
on our multi reticle version, the 4MOA and 8MOA variants remain fixed.
Multiple battery tray options allow for combination of battery to increase operational life or reduce the overall profile of the

The Advanced Mini Sight is the first enclosed emitter optic from SHIELD that retains our famous SHIELD footprint,
offering co-witness capability with standard height irons sights. Its origins are born from two of our existing products
both tested in the milita

Following on from the release of the AMS comes the latest offering from SHIELD, the AMSc. Expanding the range of enclosed
emitter products, the AMSc offers a host of features associated with its big brother but in a scaled down package, aimed at
narrow frame or single stack pistols for EDC and concealed carry requirements.
Utilising our unique SHIELD footprint ensures forwards and backwards compatibility with existing firearm installations and
accessories. A newly designed aerospace grade billet aluminium body provides a host of features not normally found in a
micro compact product. No click adjustment allows for a much more accurate zero with wider limits of elevation and windage,
multiple battery tray options allow for a choice of battery capacity to increase operational life or reduce the overall profile of
the housing.
Nitrogen sealed housing, submersible to 30 feet for 30 mins ensures all weather capability with zero user interaction required.
Benefitting from multiple patents, the AMSc is still able to offer a co-witness using our hollow bridge rear sight design and
remains watertight whilst being one of the smallest and attractive enclosed sights on the market.
