The Importance Of Being Sustainable As Well As Looking...
Sustainability in general is ensuring that the resources needed for the future are preserved and do not
run out today. It has become clear that the infinite wants of the consumer in today s society has put a
strain on the worlds resources, this means scarcity has become a greater issue. Scarcity in general is
that there are not enough resources to meet the wants of consumers. As a result it has become more
important for businesses to come up with new methods of producing renewable energy and reducing
the amount of resources required in their production process. A way of measuring a business s
sustainability is how a firm conducts its triple bottom line. The triple bottom line consists of three
elements a business will have to face, these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Being sustainable can be financially beneficial to a firm in regards to their costs. Decreased energy
consumption reduces a firms operating costs which increases the firm s share prices (Peloza Yachnin
2008). This shows that sustainable energy consumption can help firms to be more profitable as they
can reduce their day to day running costs. An example of this would be Marks and Spencer. Marks and
Spencer put into action a program called Plan A in order to improve their sustainability. This plan was
focused on making the business become more energy efficient and reducing their carbon footprint
through a variety of methods such as reducing Co2 emissions and reducing wastage in packaging.
Marks and Spencer s plan a report showed that their energy consumption for warehouses, stores and
offices increased in efficiency by 34% since putting plan A into action. The innovation and new ways
of doing things stimulated by Plan A was leading to savings of £50m p.a. (Grayson 2011). Firms are
always looking at ways to cut costs, therefore Marks and spencer have shown that being more
sustainable through being more energy efficient is important to businesses as it can help them to
accomplish this. Furthermore this will also help them to achieve what is likely to be one of their
corporate objectives, to maximise profit. With greater profit levels, the shareholders of the firm should
receive greater dividends, giving them greater satisfaction. As

Trap Shooter Analysis
Finding the ideal time and firing solution for how to shoot a moving target depends on the aptitude
sets and experiences of a Trap Shooter. Customarily, these abilities and experiences have been viewed
as instinctive activities that must be learned through years of hard practice, shooting a huge number of
rounds. Currently, there is no existing set of instructions that can help shooters understand the game of
Trapshooting from an analytical and mechanical approach. We aim to create a Decision Support
System (DSS) that will break down and explain these intuitive subtleties of shooting by analyzing
physical and mechanical processes of the game. The DSS will analyze the characteristics of the nature
of shot spread, the path of the shot spread,

Georges Seurat s Young Woman Powdering Herself
At the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston I choose Georges Seurat s painting, Young Woman Powdering
Herself . Seurat s painting portrays Seurat s mistress who Georges kept a secrete relationship with for
about 3 years. Georges Seurat carries out Young Woman Powdering Herself during the 19th century.
Majority of Georges Seurat s work is considered to have a French/ Impressionist style. The medium
and technique used for Young Woman Powdering Herself is an oil on canvas. By using oil paints on
his work, Seurat is able to make the colors as well as the vivid colors on his work standout, which
ultimately reinforces the subject.
There were no evident clues in which showed why Georges Seurat painted Young Woman Powdering
Herself. However, one can infer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The two elements Seurat s uses in his work are light and pointillism. The use of theses two elements
help brings femininity and beauty to his painting. Georges is known for bringing out light in how it
appears in nature in his work. Through the of the medium of pointillism, Seurat is able to create a
bigger picture in his work. Seurat use of the element light helps show hoe light bounce around. For
instance, the way the light travels through the open window and bounces off of the young woman s
skin shows the light that is being presented. Through this, Seurat reveals the light in places where the
light hits first.
Through Georges Seurat s use of numerous shades of color such as tint, value, warms colors, and cool
colors he is able to create a certain mood/feeling. His use of tint in multiple areas helps bring depth to
the painting. The use of value of the colors is used to portray the lightness and darkness in the
painting. The usage of warm colors in the painting, which is primarily around the woman in the center
create a mood of warmth toward her. Lastly, the use of cool colors in the background aid in allowing
the viewer to focus more on the woman and the

The Decade Of The 1950 s
Immediately following the second World War, America entered the decade of the 1950 s which would
be a time of major social and cultural change. The economy in the 1950 s was thriving, and a decrease
in poverty percentages arose which benefitted those of the generation (Brinkley). However, during this
time period America underwent a nationwide revolution as a result of the Cold War (Kennedy 877).
Critical areas of American life such as space travel, arms development and the acquisition of foreign
alliances such as North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) were formed, all to oppose the
communist political ideology (Kennedy 877). This decade also became a turning point in the
widespread development of music, with the introduction of rock and ... Show more content on

The Beat Generation was founded in the early 1940 s but was mainly developed throughout the 50 s.
Some of its major influences were Jack Kerouac, known as the generations founder, Lawrence
Ferlinghetti and Allen Ginsberg, each with their own social impact in society (Rahn). The majority of
those within the movement were from the middle class but educated in public policies as well (Rahn).
The major points that were argued by this generation were that Capitalism was really a policy that hurt
Americans more than it helped them and it would come to question the materialism of the 50 s society.
In a book known as Howl published by Allen Ginsberg within the time period would come to
challenge the view of pornography (Rahn). A trial was conducted and it was found that fictional
writings were not to be impacted by censorship (Rahn). Not all members of society enforced the
outbreak of this ideology. Recorded in 1958, Reverend Bernard P. Donachie was quoted in The New
York Times as saying the Beat Generation had flourished because they are simply the product of
twisted confusion ( PRIEST BELITTLES... ). This quote shows that traditionalists were still fighting
the upcoming open minded generation to preserve their own cultural values. The Beat Generation, in a
crucial period in history would greatly impact the minds of people. At the same

Questions On The Banking System
Today s banking system very much gives us the hint about the banking system say
20 to 25 years from now. Digitization promises to automate and improve many
banking processes. Yet it s not without peril: customer demands and expectations
are increasing, and technology is fuelling the emergence of significant new
competitors. (www.mckinsey.com)
Banking Transitions Branch banks have historically been the front line of the
customer relationship. But at a time when more than 50 percent of Americans bank
online to some degree, branch banks are challenged to stay relevant.
Customers branch visits have decreased over the past decade as more financial
transactions migrate from the branch to mobile and online channels. Branch banks
are also expensive to operate. As customers rapidly adopt online modes of
banking, branches will struggle to stay profitable using their current model. Banks
are inventing new ways for the branch to cater to certain customer interactions.
Branch banks of the future will focus less on transaction oriented business and
more toward sales, service, and consultancy.
The Likely Face Of The Future Banks

Stereotypes Of Women In The Work Force
During the first half of the 19th century, only few women worked. The majority of paid labour for
women was service work. Census records and newspaper advertisements from this period show
women worked as midwives, gardeners, washerwomen, dressmakers and on occasion, innkeepers
(Byrne, 2015). In addition to the small amount of work available, women also had to attend to
domestic duties at home. Cooking meals and cleaning was a constant and primary responsibility.
Subsequently, cooking was only a small part of women s work. With money so scarce, families had to
be resourceful with all the materials they had. Most women were skilled at spinning wool and knitting,
and they made most of the clothing that the family wore, including socks, mittens, ... Show more

Regardless of time period there are definitive opportunities for future advancement as the third decade
of the 21st century approaches. When looking from a societal and economic standpoint, companies
succeed or fail on the level of innovation, talent, and engagement of their employees. They need to
attract and retain highly skilled workers in a wide variety of fields ( Gender Inequality in the
Workplace , 2015, p. 2 4). The future is extremely optimistic for those of Generation Y and Generation
Z. According to a study conducted by the Deloitte Millennial Survey Committee, then interpreted by

Tammany Hall Speech Ideas
People of New York, I have come to you today to address a problem that has plagued all of New york
for centuries. Beginning in the gilded age of 1870, the state government reacted to you, the people.
However, they reacted based on avarice and individual interests. One of the central influences in the
government during the New York gilded age was the democratic, political party Tammany Hall. This
party was founded by Tweed Williams, a poorly taught democrat who went to jail for stealing roughly
25 45 million dollars from taxpayers in 1877. He was able to do this to the people because he had
friends higher up who gave him the power to access the banking industries and bribe people with
money and jobs to stay in office. He stole this money from men, women, and children to spend on
himself, while the people he was supposed to represent lay in poverty. Tweed was essentially tearing
the money out of your pockets, taking the bread off your dinner table, and all the while, smiling right
at you while he took your votes. Adding on, the local government was supposed to be regulated by
these political parties. However, they too were trying to get power and succeeding due to lack of
regulations from the people. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Analysis Of Johnson Johnson And Johnson Company Essay
When seven people in Chicago died from cyanide laced Tylenol tablets in 1982, Johnson Johnson
(JNJ) responded in a manner that not only saved the company s future, but also saved lives (Knight,
1982). JNJ reacted to the shocking news of the over the counter drug related deaths with compassion,
urgency and honesty. JNJ aimed at showing the public that the company was as much of a victim as
the consumers were, and vowed to resolve the issue and keep the media and consumers involved and
aware, as per the company credo (Our Credo; Rehak, 2002). JNJ s timely response set a precedence by
which public relations practitioners would model and businesses would strive to achieve. Background

Egypt (river Nile) unto the river Euphrates the land was given to the children of Israel.
Jacob was renamed to the name of Israel by G d Almighty.

Crow Indians were one of the largest tribes, and they were very prosperous farmers. They had a sum
of 300 buffalo in their possession. The Crow Indian tribe had many different sacred beliefs and items,
and they are still living up to this day. The Crow Indian folklore stories are similar to those of the
Mandan and Hidatsa tribes. Some of the most influential mythological beings in their culture include
Old Man Coyote, Nirumbee, and Greasy Beast. In the Crow Indian tribe culture, the coyote plays the
role of both a wise creator, and a reckless adventurous. Some versions of Old Man Coyote include two
coyotes, one wise creator and one adventurous rebel who usually gets into some sort of trouble.

important to them because they were so large, and every part of their body had many different uses.
They would use the bones for breastplates, tools, and the horns would be used for helmets. Their
clothing would often be decorated with porcupine quills, beadwork, and feathers. Their homes were
large teepees that were made to hold many family members, and they had a hole near the top that
acted as a ventilation system for their chimneys. Crow people were good fighters, and they had many
different kinds of weapons. Women were not part of the Crow army. Young boys were trained their

their animals, research suggests that it helps keep animals healthy is certain ways that not fixing an
animal does. It also contributes to the control of the animal population in not just in America. But, on

Sexual sections is one of the processes of natural selection in which there is a competition for sexual
reproduction, these competitions can be classified as intersexual or intrasexual. Intersexual
competition occurs when one organism, usually female, chooses its partner. Intrasexual competition,
on the other hand, happens when species from the same gender compete to sexually reproduce. The
main purpose of this experiment is to understand sexual selection process and behavior of P. cinereus,
a type of salamandra. In order to do so, different groups of the P. cinereus were gathered and observed
to determine whether groups are both socially monogamous as well as genetically monogamous which

Nations new attempt to advance the commitment of States and the world community in the major

assess the progress made to date and the gaps that still exist in implementing the outcomes of key
meetings on sustainable development and address new and emerging challenges. The General
Assembly identified two themes that will be focused on in the Rio +20 conference. The first theme
that has been identified is a green economy within the context of sustainable development and poverty

Traditional Market Research Methods And The Lead User Market
Traditional market research methods and the Lead User market research process share a target
outcome of identifying new market or product development opportunity. The Lead User research
process differs from a traditional market research method at each step of the process, yet there are
some fundamental similarities between the two. When a company chooses a target market or product
line to perform market research on, traditional methods will often use an outside market research firm.
The first focus of this firm is collecting information from current customers and sales representatives.
The typical data collection methods include focus groups, customer surveys, and also site visitations
by company scientists and product developers to see the product in use at customer locations. In
contrast, the Lead User research method starts with the formation of an in company project team
comprised of both market and technical personnel1. The project team first focuses on performing
market research on their own within the area of interest and attempts to develop some project goals
related to what the ultimate outcome of the project should be, such as an improvement on a current
product or the development of an entirely new product1. The team then gathers information related to
their target market through informal interviews. Both the traditional and Lead User process use
interviews to gather date; however, the Lead User approach aims to interview more than just

Border Patrol Nation Essay
BORDER PATROL NATION
A nation without borders is not a nation. Today, every country is putting efforts to secure its borders
not only from terrorists and drugs smuggling, but also from the illegal immigration. All these recurring
activities have sparked the United States to secure its borders against illegal immigrants and terrorism
by creating a special department named the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS is headed
by the Secretary of Homeland Security. After the terrorist attack of 9/11, terrorism and illegal
immigration were two striking issues for the DHS. To solve these issues, the Department of Homeland
Security further created two immigration enforcement agencies: U.S. Immigration and Customs
Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in year 2003. The United
States has over seven thousand miles of border to cover each day. The US shares its borders with
Canada and Mexico. That s why the CBP was established to safeguard our borders through the
deployment of technology, personnel, and infrastructure. The US Border Patrol is the most visible of
DHS s agencies and is now touching majority of population than ever before. It has increased its
strength to more than 21,000 agents, up from 8,500 in 2001and 4,000 in 1994(17). The primary

variety of magazines and newspapers ( Juan Gris Biography, Art and Analysis of Works, n.d.).

Essay about Two Levels of Meaning in Carver’s Cathedral
.
Two Levels of Meaning in Cathedral
The short story Cathedral by Raymond Carver develops characters with a dualistic depth. On the
surface they have believable human attitudes and attributes, but there is also a level functioning that
offers another interpretation. Carver is not only creating a realistic human picture, he uses the old story
of the deliverer and reworks it into something unique, fresh. He takes the characters and binds them in
the mind of his readers in a way that leads one to feel as though there is a deeper level to his message.
The narrator is quite obviously the character that Carver wants us to see as figuratively blind. There is
a stark contrast in the blind man and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The wife serves as a catalyst to bring about change in this perception by welcoming her friend into
their household. Carver foreshadows that this blind man, Robert, has the power of insight through the
detail in which the tape recorded episodes are described. Before Robert is even introduced into the
dialogue the reader s view of him is the opposite that of the narrator this is emphasized by their
separate relation to the woman in the story. She becomes the object from which the two men illustrate
their approaches to life. The blind man opens himself up to her words, thoughts, feelings and
substance. The husband relies on the surface like visual clues from her and taking things at face value.
The poem that she writes about her experience with Robert is dismissed by her husband, I can
remember I didn t think much of the poem (210). When she shares the poem with its subject
communication is opens up between them. However, her role is minor in the underlying conflict of the
story, which is the juxtaposition of the values embodied by Richard and by the narrator. Carver molds
the husband into a disciple, one who is unwilling at first but gradually shifts his ideology.
The blind man is the classic unwelcome visitor. The twist in that title is that he is also the prophet or
savior in the story as well. His qualities can be associated

Cross-American Research Paper
Running Last semester I started the sport Cross Country probably the worst sport ever not kidding. My
first race I got lost and basically got last and almost passed out. It was 90 degrees and we were
running around Valley high school. It was a very boring course to be honest, Plus I didn t feel good
that day, and on top of that it was on a day where we didn t have school, so three reasons why that was
the worst meet ever. My most favorite meet ever was when we went to the Buhl golf course. It had the
perfect weather for running. It was a mix of like rain and wind. It was great because I beat a lot of
people, plus I got out of school. Last year I did middle school track it was kind of fun and extremely
cold, my first race I got a Charley

Evaluation Proposal For The Operation Peacemaker...
The purpose of this memo is to provide an overview of the Operation Peacemaker Fellowship
Program founded by the Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) in Richmond, California. The
evaluation proposal will describe the program and expand on the needs of such program in this
community. It will also discuss the consequences of the proposed evaluation on stakeholders who have
a vested interest in seeing this program, or programs like it, succeed.
Problem Statement
Before the creation of the Office of Neighborhood Safety in 2007, Richmond, California was
considered America s 9th most dangerous city with 47 homicides in 2007, in a population of slightly
more than 100,000 (Murphy, 2014). The majority of these homicides involved the use of firearms.
Recognizing the need to focus on reducing, specifically, gun related deaths, ONS was established to
build partnerships and strategies that produce sustained reductions in firearm assaults and related
retaliations (Office of Neighborhood Safety, 2016).
In 2010, through a partnership with Richmond law enforcement, it was estimated that there were 17
people responsible for 70 percent of the firearm activity in the city (Gonzalez, 2016). With this
information, the department set out to address the problem of how to engage with the few people that
seemed to be causing the greatest amount of violence in the region, resulting in the creation of the
Operation Peacemaker Fellowship.

Domestic Terrorism In The United States
I do believe that domestic terrorism is still a treat within the United States because of the current
violence against civilian population like black lives matter, the KKK or those that randomly attack our
police officers. There attentions are to intimidate the everyday law bidding citizens in an attempt to
their way of thinking our beliefs. Homegrown terrorists are produced a number of ways. The first
involves individuals who become radicalized by personal experiences. The second might involve a
similar pat to radicalization, but it also involves some type of foreign connections. (White 2014 p.
323) These are the ones that may have parents or other family members from another country and
attempt to attack U.S. citizens. I believe that

Importance Of Volunteering In Healthcare
Internships, Volunteering, and Certifications
I have conducted some research that pertains to facilities management in healthcare. The majority of
the research was conducted locally within the state of Colorado. This research gave some insight into
different variations of volunteering and internship opportunities as well as professional certifications.
Internships and Volunteering
In Colorado I was unable to find internships that related directly to facilities management. I was
however able to find a few programs from local hospitals that offer internships in facility maintenance
that offer to pay for two years of community college during the internship. At the end of the internship
the hospital will offer to hire candidates, which is a great start on the path to becoming a facility
manager. The second internship I found was at the Children hospital in Denver. The hospital offers
volunteering and internships opportunities in many different fields. On a National scale I was able to
find many different intern and volunteering opportunities that directly related to facilities management
in healthcare.
Most of the opportunities required individuals be involved in healthcare in some degree or be enrolled
in college classes with a degree program related to healthcare. Most of ... Show more content on

popular. One of the most popular certifications was the Certified Healthcare Facility Manager
(CHFM) from the American Society for Healthcare Engineers (ASHE). This certification was needed
in most of the available job opportunities for facility managers. This certification is a part of the
American Hospital Association which is a national organization that represents and serves all types of

Long Beach Appraisal
Everyone involved in selling and buying of real estate in Long Beach has some unconditional interest
in appraisals. The result of an appraisal has something or the other to do with what the buyer, seller,
realtor, and lender are expecting out of the sale. If a property has been valued quite low by the
appraiser, the seller would then be needed to lower the market price he or she had set. If we consider a
Realtor in this case, it would mean a significant dip in commission. On the other hand, a high
valuation of a property may result in the buyer having to pay a lot more than its true worth. In this
situation, a realtor may receive high or low commission, depending on the final selling/buying price of
the property. With these situations, you ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If you are considering to hire someone to do this job, you should make sure that you approach a local
appraiser, having a number of appraisal years in his locker. If you reach someone who has recently
received the license, you may have to bear some frustrations in getting what you expect. However, an
experienced appraiser will save you from having sleepless nights. This is why you should always
work with an appraiser who comes with all the credentials. The appraiser may be hired, either by the
buyer or the seller; for different reasons, of course. A buyer would hire an appraiser to have an
accurate assessment of property, its price, and mortgage options. On the other hand, a seller would do
the hiring to know the value of his or her property. Based on the valuation and the areas of
improvement, the seller can make amendments to his or her property, if viable. This will help the
seller in coming up to a maximum price that he or she can get after selling his or her property. The
seller would work to get the most of his or her property and the buyer would look to pay as least as
possible. In all of this, it is very important not to forget the real reason why appraisals are done. An
appraisal report features many things, most of which are very hard to understand for a common buyer
or seller. Good appraisers will ensure that they go that extra mile and make buyers or sellers
understand things that

employees grievances and complaints. Then, he will take action to solve those particular problems. As
a HR manager assistant, he also needs to save the accurate records, including personal information,
payroll, leaves of absences, and vacation/sick request properly. According to our finding, the keepings
of accurate records are not only related to the legal requirement, but also with the requirement to save
the specific information about the employee as defined in the Basic Conditions of Employment Act

Paley s Argument For The Existence Of God
Throughout history, humans have displayed beliefs in the existence of some sort of higher being. The
existence of God gives an explanation of why the world is the way it is and is a reassurance for life
after death. However, even believers of a deity find themselves questioning their own god, asking
themselves, If there is so much suffering in the world, how can God exist? and this is understandable.
Suffering is defined as the state of undergoing pain, distress, or hardship. Theorists have attempted to
answer this question, some arguing for the existence of God and some arguing against it, but there s no
real way to answer this question. After all, there s no definite proof of God s existence in the world.
Two dominant arguments for the existence of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This argument appears to be logically valid, as shown in appendix 1 which displays a truth table for
the teleological argument. This theory claiming that the universe is designed would subsequently
mean that evil and suffering which occurs in the world is simply a part of the overall picture. Evil is
therefore neither good nor bad but is purely just apart of the design and nature of the universe. William
Paley, a philosopher created the classic statement of the teleological argument, likening the universe to
a watch. Paley argued, If we find a pocket watch in a field, we immediately infer that it was produced
not by natural processes acting blindly but by a designing human intellect (Natural Theology, Ch 1).
The complexity, order and function of the watch suggests design. This can be compared to the
universe as the universe implies an intricacy and precision that calls for the existence of a designer.
However, some might claim that this is a weak analogy as there is not a significant resemblance
between natural objects and objects

Google Answer to Filling Jobs
Introduction
Google used to look for people with straight A report cards and double 800s on their SATs to
determine if they would be a good fit for their organization but have since moved to more drastic
measures to ensure a good match between the employee and Google s high octane organizational
culture. Google has employed personality testing to help them make decisions about hiring by making
applicants fill out an elaborate online survey that explores their attitudes, behavior, personality and
biographical details going back to high school in an attempt to ensure a good PE fit with the
organization.

Looking at the textbook I selected for this course, Organizational Behavior 10th edition by Kreitner
and Kinicki, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is done in an attempt to increase productivity and reduce absenteeism and turnover. Employees
that fit better into the organization will have higher job satisfaction and commitment to their
organizations and lower intentions to quit when their personal characteristics and values match or fit
the job requirements.1 When the employee is a good fit it can help with the employees attitudes and
job stress.
Group Level of Analysis
Google was happy with the current culture and group dynamics and wanted to know how to ensure
new individuals would interact with the groups the same way. To accomplish this Google did a study
of the personality types that correspond to the leadership styles and level of results at the group level
they wanted to mimic. This was done by asking every employee who had been working at the
company for at least five months to fill out a 300 question survey. Afterwards Google created several
surveys they believe will help them find candidates in engineering, sales, finance, and human
resources. Using the personality test and comparing the results from people that already fit well in the
organization will help Google maintain or improve the group dynamics, reduce intergroup conflict and
result in better communication at the group level.
Organizational Analysis
The data from Google s survey of the employees who had been working at the company for at least
five months was

Social Construction Of Male Dominance Essay
INTRODUCTION
High maternal mortality in African countries has often been linked to the practice of male dominance
(patriarchy). According to Kinanee and Ezekiel Hart (2009p.1) patriarchy is defined as the dominance
of men over women, patriarchy describes a family structure or society where the man is, as of right,
the head of the family and regarded by the women as the lord and master whose decision (about any
and all issues, including those of maternal health) is final . It encourages men s access to resources
control. Male dominance entails that women are to depend almost entirely on men in making every
decision that affects the family including, but not limited to the number of babies to have, when to get
pregnant, usage or non usage of contraceptives, whether or not to go for antenatal care, to mention a
few), even when they are directly affected by such decisions (Kinanee and Ezekiel Hart 2009). Gender
is the social construction of roles allocated to men and women (O Brien and White 2003). These roles
vary geographically and change over time (O Brien and White 2003). The conventional system in
many African countries lay out specific roles that both men and women are to perform in their families
and communities. For instance, from childhood boys are instilled with the mentality that they were to
be strong and hardworking, so as to be able to effectively take care of their wives. Girls, on the other
hand, were to focus solely on the domestic activities. They were to

Infertility And The Fertility Related Issues
For couples unable to conceive naturally who decide that adoption is not an option for them at this
time or alternatively for their particular situation, the first step in the process to treat infertility is
attempting to diagnosis the source of the infertility. In order to do this, both partners undergo a series
of preliminary diagnostic tests and procedures to determine if either the male or female have any of
the fertility related issues. Infertility by definition is not being able to conceive after one year of trying
with unprotected sex. Trying to conceive not only affects the women but also the man can have some
type of issues that can affect the couple ability to become pregnant. Infertility has become a growing
issues for couples. According to CDC About 6% of married women 15 44 years of age in the United
States are unable to get pregnant after one year of unprotected sex (infertility). Also, about 12% of
women 15 44 years of age in the United States have difficulty getting pregnant or carrying a
pregnancy to term, regardless of marital status called impaired fecundity.
In order for a couple to become pregnant she must release an egg from one of her ovaries and a male
sperm must join the egg. After the two meet the fertilized egg must travel through a fallopian tube and
attach itself to a women uterus. When this process does not happen the infertility doctor will begin to
proceed with a semen analysis on the male

The Final Stage Of Management Design
Control is the final stage of management design, making sure the specific goals and objectives of the
team is met by all those who are placed within the organization to complete specific task. It is at this
stage that all members must perform the work that is within the organizations scope of business.
Controls can be strong and visible, such as are needed in a maximum security prison, or they can be
more relaxed and invisible, such as are needed in a group of volunteers working at the local food
bank. The four steps in the process of control in the Mainstream and Multistream managerial
processes according to Nuebert Dyck 2010 are Establishing Performance Standards, Monitoring
Performance, Evaluating Performance, and Responding ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This process is helpful in identifying needed changes in the input and conversion stage to maintain
quality products Mainstream managers are interested in high quality products at the lowest
productivity cost possible while maintaining good relations and organizational wealth (Nuebert Dyck
2010). In the Multistream approach managers use a value loop which helps to identify key
performance standards. Multistream process standards are used not targets like the Mainstream
manager. The Mulitistream manager uses the information system to help enhance, process, share, and
self monitor the dada. Rather than use a Top down approach the Multisystem manager is going to
expect that other help in these processes rather than have it trickle down hill effect and emphasizes
balancing multiple forms of well being for multiple stakeholders (Nuebert Dyck 2010). Nuebert Dyck
in 2010 describe the Multistream approach to the four step control process as looking at and
establishing standards in the value chains rather than value loops. The goal is to incorporate all
stakeholders goals however much of the time they are able to foresee potential delinks and the
potential un connectivity of those chains (p556). The Mainstream focus on controlling their employee
from top to bottom, the Multistream organizations focus on creating a system that allows the
stakeholders to

Park Avenue Money And The American Dream Analysis
Park Avenue: money, power, and the American dream is a documentary. In this documentary, both
Park Avenue in oh so wealthy Manhattan and Park Avenue which is 10 minutes away and located in
the Bronx are compared and contrasted. Why would they do this? Well, people who own apartments at
740 Park Avenue make up America s ruling class while the people who live on Park Avenue in the
South Bronx make up the poorest congressional district in the United States . In America, the rich
continue to become wealthier while the poor continue to struggle, dividing them into different
subcultures. Great isn t it? It all basically comes down to the socioeconomic status of these people. In
the opening of this documentary, the first shots are of the beautiful buildings, expensive cars, and even
white gloved doorman standing outside, all of the materialistic things. This is the life that most wish to
live. The media even will try to persuade people that this is the dream , the life that everyone works
towards and wants to live. In reality though, can most people even consider this goal attainable? This
is the question that director Alex Gibney visits and revisits multiple times within this documentary.
Light is shed on the gap between the rich and the poor and how the gap has been widened by the
political manipulations of the country s wealthiest citizens. 740 ... Show more content on

  • 2. The Importance Of Being Sustainable As Well As Looking... Sustainability in general is ensuring that the resources needed for the future are preserved and do not run out today. It has become clear that the infinite wants of the consumer in today s society has put a strain on the worlds resources, this means scarcity has become a greater issue. Scarcity in general is that there are not enough resources to meet the wants of consumers. As a result it has become more important for businesses to come up with new methods of producing renewable energy and reducing the amount of resources required in their production process. A way of measuring a business s sustainability is how a firm conducts its triple bottom line. The triple bottom line consists of three elements a business will have to face, these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Being sustainable can be financially beneficial to a firm in regards to their costs. Decreased energy consumption reduces a firms operating costs which increases the firm s share prices (Peloza Yachnin 2008). This shows that sustainable energy consumption can help firms to be more profitable as they can reduce their day to day running costs. An example of this would be Marks and Spencer. Marks and Spencer put into action a program called Plan A in order to improve their sustainability. This plan was focused on making the business become more energy efficient and reducing their carbon footprint through a variety of methods such as reducing Co2 emissions and reducing wastage in packaging. Marks and Spencer s plan a report showed that their energy consumption for warehouses, stores and offices increased in efficiency by 34% since putting plan A into action. The innovation and new ways of doing things stimulated by Plan A was leading to savings of £50m p.a. (Grayson 2011). Firms are always looking at ways to cut costs, therefore Marks and spencer have shown that being more sustainable through being more energy efficient is important to businesses as it can help them to accomplish this. Furthermore this will also help them to achieve what is likely to be one of their corporate objectives, to maximise profit. With greater profit levels, the shareholders of the firm should receive greater dividends, giving them greater satisfaction. As ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Customarily, these abilities and experiences have been viewed as instinctive activities that must be learned through years of hard practice, shooting a huge number of rounds. Currently, there is no existing set of instructions that can help shooters understand the game of Trapshooting from an analytical and mechanical approach. Through this, Seurat reveals the light in places where the light hits first. Through Georges Seurat s use of numerous shades of color such as tint, value, warms colors, and cool colors he is able to create a certain mood/feeling. His use of tint in multiple areas helps bring depth to the painting. The use of value of the colors is used to portray the lightness and darkness in the painting. • 10. Tammany Hall Speech Ideas People of New York, I have come to you today to address a problem that has plagued all of New york for centuries. Beginning in the gilded age of 1870, the state government reacted to you, the people. However, they reacted based on avarice and individual interests. One of the central influences in the government during the New York gilded age was the democratic, political party Tammany Hall. This party was founded by Tweed Williams, a poorly taught democrat who went to jail for stealing roughly 25 45 million dollars from taxpayers in 1877. He was able to do this to the people because he had friends higher up who gave him the power to access the banking industries and bribe people with money and jobs to stay in office. He stole this money from men, women, and children to spend on himself, while the people he was supposed to represent lay in poverty. Tweed was essentially tearing the money out of your pockets, taking the bread off your dinner table, and all the while, smiling right at you while he took your votes. Adding on, the local government was supposed to be regulated by these political parties. However, they too were trying to get power and succeeding due to lack of regulations from the people. ... Analysis Of Johnson Johnson And Johnson Company Essay When seven people in Chicago died from cyanide laced Tylenol tablets in 1982, Johnson Johnson (JNJ) responded in a manner that not only saved the company s future, but also saved lives (Knight, 1982). JNJ reacted to the shocking news of the over the counter drug related deaths with compassion, urgency and honesty. JNJ aimed at showing the public that the company was as much of a victim as the consumers were, and vowed to resolve the issue and keep the media and consumers involved and aware, as per the company credo (Our Credo; Rehak, 2002). JNJ s timely response set a precedence by which public relations practitioners would model and businesses would strive to achieve. Background General Company Background In 1886, Robert Wood Johnson, Edward Mead Johnson, and James Wood Johnson formed Johnson Johnson company and quickly expanded the company in the late 19th century (Johnson Johnson History, n.d.). The company created products that were aimed at improving health and personal hygiene and published books and manuals that instructed sterile surgery methods, wound treatments and women s health care (Johnson Johnson History, n.d.). • 18. Traditional Market Research Methods And The Lead User Market Traditional market research methods and the Lead User market research process share a target outcome of identifying new market or product development opportunity. The Lead User research process differs from a traditional market research method at each step of the process, yet there are some fundamental similarities between the two. When a company chooses a target market or product line to perform market research on, traditional methods will often use an outside market research firm. The first focus of this firm is collecting information from current customers and sales representatives. The typical data collection methods include focus groups, customer surveys, and also site visitations by company scientists and product developers to see the product in use at customer locations. In contrast, the Lead User research method starts with the formation of an in company project team comprised of both market and technical personnel1. The project team first focuses on performing market research on their own within the area of interest and attempts to develop some project goals related to what the ultimate outcome of the project should be, such as an improvement on a current product or the development of an entirely new product1. The team then gathers information related to their target market through informal interviews. • 33. Social Construction Of Male Dominance Essay INTRODUCTION High maternal mortality in African countries has often been linked to the practice of male dominance (patriarchy). According to Kinanee and Ezekiel Hart (2009p.1) patriarchy is defined as the dominance of men over women, patriarchy describes a family structure or society where the man is, as of right, the head of the family and regarded by the women as the lord and master whose decision (about any and all issues, including those of maternal health) is final . It encourages men s access to resources control. Male dominance entails that women are to depend almost entirely on men in making every decision that affects the family including, but not limited to the number of babies to have, when to get pregnant, usage or non usage of contraceptives, whether or not to go for antenatal care, to mention a few), even when they are directly affected by such decisions (Kinanee and Ezekiel Hart 2009). Gender is the social construction of roles allocated to men and women (O Brien and White 2003). These roles vary geographically and change over time (O Brien and White 2003).
