Due to the progressive development of human societies, their ecological and environmental
influence has been steadily increasing. The spatial expansion and higher population and housing
density of cities with its multiplier effect on land use and land cover change (LUCC) have been
recognized as the most important aspects of cities climate change which is triggered by the need for
urban services provision for the influx of human population. The shortages of housing in particular,
and other urban services provision is the fundamental cause and effects of development of illegal
and informal settlements. With analysis from empirical study in Eldoret town, the study discusses
the need for urban land regularization as a requisite to combat the driving forces for formation of
informal settlements and its impacts on cities climate. After presenting a series of concepts and
definitions related to urban land informality and illegality, standardization and tenure security from
the literature, we then discuss the data methods for the study. A detail of the research results
focusing on the nature and the impacts of informal and illegal settlement in both the city centre and
the hinterlands using the UN Habitat Slum indicators is presented. We conclude on implication

play lacks moral ambiguity within many of the central characters. One can recognize this
dichotomy by analyzing the utilization of foils in Pericles. Pericles incorporates obviously corrupt
characters that contrast with virtuous counterparts. For instance, in two analogous instances
Pericles travels to a new city, attempting to court a princess. The first princess, King Antiochus

Sophocles, a play that tells the story of the new reigning king of Thebes. Through fate, Oedipus
met his end by blinding himself all due to the fact that he would not let go of the past. This
quote also applies to Medea by Euripides, a play about a woman named Medea, who is driven to

Starting with Oedipus, we see that he is a very sympathetic leader who always wants to provide
a personal connection with that of his community. He is fighting so hard to remove the plague
that is stricken over his city of Thebes. This specifically tells us about what type of character
Oedipus is as a person and not only that but we see him portrayed as a victim of fate throughout

The Iroquois Constitution was an agreement between the Five Nations of the Iroquois with many
rules that all nations abided by. Under the constitution, the Five Nations agreed to three main
principals: peace, equity and justice. These nations passed on these agreements and rules through
oral history and shared mythologies. In studying myths and religions around the world, Joseph
Campbellrecognized four functions of myth: mystical, cosmological, sociological, and
psychological. Campbell noticed that these functions could be found in most explorer stories and
origin stories throughout various cultures and societies. The rules my family has established in my
household are similar to the Iroquois Constitution, Campbell s functions of myth, and can be an
inspiration for when I become a parent.

One reason why the plot is able to effectively create suspense is through utilizing foreshadowing.
For example, the film opens with Grace, the mother, screaming as Grace wakes up,
foreshadowing fear in the movie. In addition, the dialogue plays a role in foreshadowing as well,
