Neuromuscular Junction Analysis
The neuromuscular junction constitutes of three regions consisting of the presynaptic cell, the synaptic
cleft, and the post synaptic cell.
The presynaptic cell is responsible for sending the incoming potential from the axon terminal, to the
target cell. This is done by action potentials arriving tot the axon terminal.
As a result, voltage gated Ca2+ channels are opened, allowing Ca2+ to enter the cell. Ca2+ will then
bind to the synaptotagmin on the vesicles, enabling the vesicles to move through the membrane and
bind to SNARE s.
Vesicles which are not moving will fuse with the membrane, releasing neurotransmitters through
exocytosis.
After the neurotransmitter is released, it enters the second portion of the neuromuscular junction, the
synaptic cleft. It is a rather short component, synonymous to a transition period between the
presynaptic and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Afferent neurons are responsible for sending sensory information from the body to the central nervous
system, while interneurons communicate signals within one another within the central nervous system.
Efferent neurons transfer signals from the central nervous system to effector organs, one of these
including muscles. Integrating the three composes the peripheral nervous system.
For a muscle fiber to contract voluntarily, it must receive a signal from the motor neuron in the nrvous
system. Electrical sugnal action potential travels down pmotor neuron. At the end, synaptic vesculs
have neurotransmitters. Acetylcholine is activated, cross the synapse, physical gap between the two,

Atrial And Ventricular Septal Defects
ATRIAL AND VENTRICULAR SEPTAL DEFECTS
Yulissa R. De Leon
June 26, 2016
BS 104 ME1
Dr. Ali Saleh A ventricular septal defect or VSD is a heart defect. It s congenital, this means that a
baby is born with it. It is an opening or hole in the dividing wall called the Septum, between the two
lower chambers of the heart, right and left ventricles. Ventricular septal defects are the most common
type of congenital heart defects. A VSD allows oxygen rich blood to pass from the left ventricle
through the opening in the septum. Then it mixes with oxygen poor blood in the right ventricle. There
are different types of ventricular septal defects, the type your child has depends on which part of the
wall between the ventricles is involved. Also the size of the opening or hole varies. A ventricular
septal defect may occur more often in some families, this is because of gene defects. But most of the
time, the cause is unknown. Similarly to ventricular septal defect, an Atrial septal defect is a birth
defect of the heart in which there is also a hole in the wall in the septum, but instead of dividing the
lower chambers it divides the upper chambers of the heart (atria), here a hole can vary in size and may
close on its own or may require surgery as well. An atrial septal defect is one type of congenital heart
defect, in which also the baby is born with it. For both Atrial and Ventricular septal defect the size of
the opening or hole affects how severe the child s

The Appalachian Mountains Of North America
The Appalachian Mountains are a mountain range in the eastern part of North America. The origin of
the mountain ranges name came about when Spanish explorer Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca and his
crew were exploring the Florida coast in 1528, they found a Native American town with a name they
transliterated as Apalachen. The word Apalachen was also applied to an inland mountain range, and
through the course of time it became applied to the entire range and its spelling was changed (
Appalachian Mountains ).
These mountains are some of the oldest mountains on Earth. They even predate the formation of the
North American continent. Scientists have measured the Appalachian Mountains to be 300 to 500
million years old. These mountains extend almost 2,000 miles from the Canadian province of
Newfoundland and Labrador forming a zone approximately 90 to 300 miles wide, and run all the way
down to Alabama in the United States. Additionally, these mountains are found in the following states:
Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, New England area, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina,
Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
INSERT MAP of location
The Appalachian forms a natural barrier between the eastern coastal plain and the interior lowlands of
North America (Aloian 4). The system is divided into three large physiographic regions: Northern
Appalachians, Central Appalachians, and Southern Appalachians.

Essay on The Veldt
Contextualization Raymond Douglas, known as Ray Bradbury is an American fantasy, horror, science
fiction, and mystery writer. Bradbury was born in Illinois in 1920. He graduated from Los Angeles
High School in 1938 but he did not attend college. However, he thinks libraries are much more
important than colleges and universities.
Bradbury began to publish science fiction stories in fanzines in 1938. He became a full time writer by
the end of 1942. His first collection of short stories, Dark Carnival, was published in 1947. Many of

George and Lydia will decide to call a psychologist. The psychologist David McClean will suggest
them to turn off the room and the house, and leave. But before turning off the nursery the children
asked their pa rents for one last nursery visit. After a few minutes the kids will call George and Lydia
and when they will enter in the nursery to see what was happening the children will lock them in. It
seems quite clear that the children are more connected to the house than they are their own parents. At
this moment we understand that besides the African setting, George and Lydia find personal
recreations of their belongings in the nursery.
Structural analysis . At the beginning of the story we have a description of the situation. We know the
story happens in the future. We know there is a family who lives in a mechanical house but the
situation is normal and realistic. The complication in this story will be the nursery because it seems to
be stuck in an African setting. it will create a real conflict between the nursery and the parents and also
between the kids and the parents because they are actually the ones who create that African veldt. The
tension increase during the story when for example, Mr. and Mrs. Hadley heir screams coming from
the nursery, when they saw the nursery door trembling as if

The Importance Of School Students In High School
In this essay I will argue that high school I will argue that high school students not let people around
them influence them to enroll into college right after their high school career because it often leads to
wasted money, long term financial issues, including stress and many other factors that come with long
term effects. Many parents pressure their teenagers to start choosing colleges to enroll into while they
are juniors and seniors in high school, and sometimes even children who are still in elementary school.
Many of these teenagers do not even know what their choice of major would be, or have no clue what
a major is. It takes a significant amount of time to explore the different types of majors and programs
that would be accessible at certain colleges. For example one school may have a dermatology
program, while another school may not even offer that program at all, which means a person may have
to consider looking at a different institution.
Teenagers only make decisions based off of the approval of those people that have the biggest impact
or influence on them. This is not a good choice because most of the time the decision is not theirs and
they realize this later on down the road when it is a little too late, leading to wasted money. The
average family earns about $70,000, which is less than the average expenses of a general college
student who is paying out of pocket for books, cost of attendance, etc. This gives an ideal many
middle class families will go

The Rhetorical Analysis Of The King s Speech
In the film The King s Speech , written by David Seidler and released on November 26, 2010, the
filmmaker portrays Albert being constantly under pressure for speaking correctly, by comparing his
speech to great broadcasters who are anything but great leaders. The pressure that comes from Albert s
father, King George V, results in more frustration for the both of them, without either of them realising
that to lead a country into greatness depends more on just speaking well. Throughout the film, there
had been ideal speech models like Hitler, David, and King George V, shown in order to compare their
speech to Albert s and to show what a great speaker has to sound in order to gain the public s support.
Ironically, all of those speech perfect models turned out to be egocentric individuals and the least
egotistical leader, Albert, is the one with the impaired speech. I argue that in The King s Speech , the
characters who serve as models of ideal speech are figures of oppression, therefore the author is
implying that the idea of having ideal speech does not live up to it s praise.
Oppressive leaders like Hitler have used public speaking in order to bring destruction to the world like
war. In the scene when the royal family is watching him on the projector, Hitler is controlling a mass
army while speaking with a powerful tone in a fast and concise pace. Hitler s body language also
represents the intensity of his message to his country by pointing his fingers vigorously. The

Fire Safety Engineering Technology Degree
As a kid I looked up to my twin brothers, Sandy and Randy, who were 19 years older than me. When I
was around 13 years old, I started tagging along with my brother, Sandy, who was a volunteer
firefighter. I loved running calls with Sandy, and knew that I would be a firefighter when I grew up. I
will never forget the time I went to a house fire with my brother. It was like yesterday. The fire pager
went off. Sandy turned on his red light, and we took off in his truck. Before I knew it, we pulled up to
a house with fire shooting out the first floor window, and Sandy went to work as a firefighter. That
was it. From that point on, I knew I would be a firefighter.
As a student in middle and high school, I struggled with ADHD. Those struggles made me doubt
myself when it came to academics. After trying for four years, I finally became a Charlotte Firefighter
when I was 22 years old and recently engaged to my fiance. I knew that this was my chosen
profession, but I also realized that to advance in it, I would have to face my academic fears.
What makes the man I am today ready for the academic challenges I so struggled with as a kid? There
are two reasons I am ready to undertake UNCC s Fire Safety Engineering Technology degree: First, I

Essay on Against Sweatshops
Some companies have acceded to public pressure to reduce or end their use of sweatshops. Such firms
often publicize the fact that their products are not made with Anti globalization activists and
environmentalists also deplore transfer of heavy industrial manufacturing (such as chemical
production) to the developing world. Although chemical factories have little in common with
sweatshops in the original sense, detractors describe them as such and claim that there are negative
environmental and health impacts (such as pollution and birth defects, respectively) on workers and
the local community.

Because of the relatively higher value placed on male education, young women are often encouraged
by their families to leave school and migrate to urban areas or Export Processing Zones (EPZ) to work
in the garment industry. As outsiders in a new community, these young women lack the legal or family
support they might receive in their own community and therefore, have to spend a larger amount of
income on supporting themselves. Consequently, these young women who are no longer receiving an
education often find it hard to earn enough money to send back to their family.[21]
The division of labour in sweatshops is gendered because the vast majority of workers are young
women. The problems faced by many workers are also gendered because gender based notions of
what is acceptable inform working conditions. Thus medical or maternity leave, employer / employee
relations and the right to organize can all become gender biased. Consequently, the negative aspects of
sweatshops have a disproportionate impact on women. Because of this, some argue that efforts to
combat the poor working conditions in sweatshops should focus more on empowering women[citation
needed]. Although company led attempts to improve the working conditions in sweatshops such as the
Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) have had some successes, others criticize the ETI as gender blind
[citation needed]. The modern

Andrew Carnegie And The Gospel Of Wealth
Andrew Carnegie (1835 1919) was a major American industrialist in the late 19th century and after
obtaining substantial wealth from his steel industry, became an advocate for giving back to the less
fortunate. Carnegie s desire to donate to those less fortunate came from past experiences, growing up
as an immigrant and working in a cotton factory young. He knew and understood the hardships that
people faced when not able to acquire the type of wealth he rose to earn. Through his long life this
atypical businessman advocated for many and dedicated the later years of his life to promoting the
general welfare of the world.
After having enough of the steel industry in which Carnegie built from the ground up, with little
training and knowledge in the field, other than his past experiences from working on the railroads and
investing in oil and iron companies, The Gospel of Wealth (1889) was written. At the time of booming
industry, few men had the opportunity to amass such vast fortunes such as Carnegie, and in writing
The Gospel of Wealth (1889), Carnegie wanted to inspire to those with money to donate and give back
to the less fortunate, and life with be better for everyone. He penned that greedy men who let their
money die with them are a disgrace, and that the wealthy have a sort of obligation to promote the
common welfare for the average American. Although Andrew Carnegie did not write any other essay,

Before the 11th of September, 2001, Australia had been a home to the Al Jamil family. Granted, it was
never the same as their home country of Iraq, but it was a place to live and they were content.

Sigmund Freud Biography
Sigmund Frued, Austrian physician, neurologist, and founder of psychoanalysis. Freud was born in
Freiberg (now Príbor, Czech Republic), on May 6, 1856, and educated at the University of Vienna.
When he was three years old his family, fleeing from the anti Semitic riots then raging in Freiberg,
moved to Leipzig. Shortly thereafter, the family settled in Vienna, where Freud remained for most of
his life. Although Freud s ambition from childhood had been a career in law, he decided to become a
medical student shortly before he entered the University of Vienna in 1873. Inspired by the scientific
investigations of the German poet Goethe, Freud was driven by an intense desire to study natural
science and to solve some of the challenging ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In his clinical observations Freud found evidence for the mental mechanisms of repression and
resistance. He described repression as a device operating unconsciously to make the memory of
painful or threatening events inaccessible to the conscious mind. Resistance is defined as the
unconscious defense against awareness of repressed experiences in order to avoid the resulting
anxiety. He traced the operation of unconscious processes, using the free associations of the patient to
guide him in the interpretation of dreams and slips of speech. Dream analysis led to his discoveries of
infantile sexuality and of the so called Oedipus complex, which constitutes the erotic attachment of
the child for the parent of the opposite sex, together with hostile feelings toward the other parent. In
these years he also developed the theory of transference, the process by which emotional attitudes,
established originally toward parental figures in childhood, are transferred in later life to others. The
end of this period was marked by the appearance of Freud s most important work, The Interpretation
of Dreams (1900). Here Freud analyzed many of his own dreams recorded in the 3 year period of his
self analysis, begun in 1897. This

A Summary Of Data Analysis
There are numerous ways to represent this data visually and numerically, the first graph I did was the
stem and leaf plot where you can see the frequency much clearer since the original data numbers are
shown as in compare like a histogram where the frequency is easy to see, the original data points have
been lost. For an example the grades, there are 13 values that were in the seventies, but is hard to
determine from the histogram what those values might have been. In the stem and leaf plot shows the
original values way easier, which is perfect to show to younger students because the horizontal leaves
in the stem and leaf plot is the same to the vertical bars in the histogram, and the leaves have the
heights that equal the numbers in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the box and whisker, the median is 78, almost 80, and that fifty percent of the students scored
between 67 and 86 points, and seeing the plot is skewed to the left means that there are more values in
the highs rather the lower numbers. The histogram and stem and leaf plot also shows how students
passed the test by seeing the median and mode on the graph.
The assigning of the scores I decided to have five letter grades which were, A, B, C, D, and F. Letter
grade A is 90 100, B is 80 89, C is 70 79, D is 60 69, and F is 59 0. The reason I chose this grade
assignment is because I wanted to know how many students have passed the exam beyond average or
below. The average is a 70 79 and having five categories can show which students actually know the
subject or need to work on it, whether over the average or under the average.
Describing the middle of the data is that the central tendency by using the mean, median, or mode.
The mean gives us the average, the median gives us which is the number in the middle of the set,
while mode show us the most frequently occurring value in a data set. The box and whisker and
histogram, it s better to use the median to describe the middle because since the mean is less than the
median, that s why it s skewed because the high scores influence the direction of the graph. In this
case, the median may be a better option to represent the typical grade on the test.
To describe the overall

The Malleus Maleficarum, By Dominican Inquisitors Heinrich...
The Malleus Maleficarum, published in 1487 and authored by Dominican Inquisitors Heinrich Kramer
and Jacob Sprenger, was used by Catholics and Protestants as a bank of knowledge on how to locate
and prosecute witches. Though the text was published in 1487, it was still used as the premier text on
witches well into the 18th century. The text is incredibly thorough, covering the topics of witch
identification, explanations of how witches make their pacts with the devil, and how to effectively
conduct a trial. This text was written to be read by upper class members of the clergy and secular
governments. The audience of this text largely informed the language and content which Kramer and
Sprenger used and included. Because of the very clear and directed audience who was intended to read
this text, the authors got away with rhetoric which would not necessarily be believed or agreed with
by the laypeople who would actually be affected by the contents of The Malleus Maleficarum. The
Malleus Maleficarum is explicitly misogynistic when addressing who can be a witch, when describing
the pact that a woman makes with the devil, and the process by which an accused witch is questioned
and tried. The Malleus Maleficarum is very explicit about which gender is more likely to practice
witchcraft. Multiple sections of the texts specifically reference the fact that women are more likely to
be witches, and gives details about why women are more likely to be coerced into witchcraft by the

Theme Of Hospitality In Beowulf
By demonstrating how the benign exchange of hospitality changes into a vicious cycle of assault and
retaliation and how it ultimately leads to tragedy, Beowulf makes a point about the limits of
hospitality, whereby nothing short of death can end the cycle of obligation. The world of Beowulf is
constructed upon the rules of hospitality and requisites of reciprocity. As Marcel Mauss asserts, there
are no free gifts. Regardless of time and place, a gift of any sort obliges a person to reciprocate the
present that has been received (Mauss 9). While it might appear so, Beowulf s arrival at the shores of
Denmark to proffer his help to Hrothgar to kill the monsters is not a simple act of selflessness. He
partakes in a system of exchange that underlies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Heardred s mistake in offering hospitality to the sons of Ohthere results in him being mortally
rewarded with wounds from a sword (2386). Onela s treatment of Heardred s hospitality as treachery
results in a cruel parody of hospitable exchange: a fatal sequence of assault and revenge. The fate of
Heardred also serves to reaffirm that hospitality in this poem can never wholly seal itself from
treachery and peril. Later on, in his report to King Hygelac after returning to Geatland, Beowulf
speaks of how Hrothgar attempts to make peace between the Danes and Heathobards by marrying his
daughter Freawaru to Ingel. In spite of the feud between the two sides, the Heathobards are obliged to
host and entertain the Danes since a Danish princess is marrying the Heathobard king. But as Beowulf
mentions, the spear / is prompt to retaliate when a prince is killed (2029 30). Paradoxically, the system
of reciprocity here becomes a source of both Heathobards hospitality (as host) as much as their desire
to retaliate against the Danes. Ultimately, the force of grievances outweighs the bond established
through the offering of the bride as a gift: a guest who wears the heirloom snatched from the host s
father has betrayed hospitality, which invites retaliation from the host. This suggests the limitations of
hospitality as a principle of socio economic

Argument Essay On The Catcher In The Rye
The Catcher in the Rye essay.
Many people have a hard time getting through tough times, they require a lot of help and attention.
People are too busy in their everyday lives to focus on other people s lives as well therefore they don t
get the help and attention they need. In the book, The Catcher in the Rye written by J.D. Salinger, it s
easy to see that Holden Caulfield has a lot going on in his life, maybe even something wrong with
him. The novel is popular to adults and teenagers as well. This story impacts the life of the readers.
Holden doesn t like to connect to anyone and he believes everyone is fake. Holdens major problem is
his inability to reach out for help and try to connect with people. Holden grew up with many issues
that never seemed to be solved, Holden needs love, he needs a connection with someone again so that
he can feel a little bit of relief. The main reason for Holden not being able to connect with someone is
because he sees everyone as phony. Holdens subconscious needs to protect innocents in children.
Throughout the book Holden constantly is saying how people are phony. Holden believes there are no
more genuine people and that everyone is out to get him. Holden says, In the first place, my parents
are different religions, and all the children in our family are atheists. If you want to know the truth, I

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Oral Communication

Communication is sharing our feelings, experiences, thoughts, suggestions, feedback and etc. So
usually before communicating with another person, we tend to think of how to speak, what to speak,
when to speak and which channel I should adopt to before communicating.
The sender is the person who sends the message. Let s take an example for this case; two people are
communicating between each other. The sender is Amy and the receiver is Pond. Amy will send the
message, which is the information she would like for Pond to know. She will then encode her
message, which is transforming her message which can be transformed into written words or verbal
communication. Then, Amy must choose a channel of communication which is also known as the
manner in which the message ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Everything has its advantages and disadvantages. The advantages for oral communication includes;
saves valuable time, saves cost, more powerful and effective, able to get immediate feedback and
correction of errors. The disadvantages of oral communication include; no record of what has been
spoken, probability of omitting the key point (main subject) and confused speech.
Oral communication saves time in cases of situation where an immediate action is required to be
taken. Also, if the management s work load is high, they d rather want to complete their tasks by using
oral instructions. When you are communicating verbally, you do not require any paper, pen, stamp or a
computer. Oral communications tend to persuade and control the people we are talking to. Therefore,
management often prefers to communicate to their staff by the means of oral communication. Moving
on to the fourth point, the speaker can get almost an immediate feedback on whether the feedback is
negative or positive for the speaker. This implies that the receiver clearly understood what the speaker
meant and gives a high possibility for

The World Where Steam Power Is The Primary Form Of Energy
Imagine a world where steam power is the primary form of energy, where Victorian style is still in full
bloom, and where technology is king, yet it is not the technology of today, but the technology of today
as the Victorians might have imagined it. Add in a hefty dose of gears and mechanical parts, a large
helping of fantasy and science fiction and top it all off with alternate history as it might have been ,
and you will have the steampunk world.
Steampunk started as a subgenre of science fiction and alternate history back in the 1980s, and was a
fairly underground subculture until recently. Growing in popularity, steampunk is close to mainstream
now; with clothing, furniture, decorating items and films all designed to suit the Victorian, yet modern
sensibility. Despite its climb to conventional, steampunk still relies on an individual outlook, a taste
for modifying and adapting secondhand objects and a sense of humor and whimsy.
A steampunk themed bedroom is a great choice for anyone who loves the Victorian style, marches to
the beat of their own drummer or just loves the anachronistic/futuristic look.
Look for Subdued Colors and Interesting Textures
The color scheme for a steampunk bedroom is not gloomy, but is subdued. This is not the style for
bright colors, wild patterns or lively, ethnic looks. Colors that work well for this design theme include:
Grays
Browns
Cream
Burgundy or deep red
Deep purple
Black

High School With Female And Male Learners With Special...
Where/what is the research site? The site for this study will be a local high school with both female
and male learners with Special Education Needs (SEN) and learning disability. The research will
target or focus on one of the schools with a high number of disabled students to ensure the statistics
taken are more conclusive for the study. Together with the school administration, 9 12th grade
teachers, students, and counselors we will attempt to come up with the best and efficient mode of
conducting the research. Addressing the issue of young people with disabilities requires the inclusion
of a larger audience such as the students, teachers, and administrators (Supports Center, 2004).
According to Milsom, counselor s assigned the role of preparing students for the job and life outside
school has failed to adequately present the disabled students with skills to cope with life after school
(2002). The research records the type of instruction and skills taught to the students, looking for the
relation of the information and survival in the outside world. The study will collect data by asking the
students questions related to survival outside the school and rate students according to the level of
preparedness. Through such information, the research can offer a clear understanding of the issue to
be discussed as well as the culture in the schools today concerning their ability to prepare learners for
employment environment and real life after school. Target Group The

Over The Past Year, 12 Percent Of The Oceans Reefs Have
Over the past year, 12 percent of the oceans reefs have become bleached due to ocean acidification.
Ocean acidification and in turn coral bleaching, is due to carbon pollution causing global warming,
this makes the oceans warmer, thus making them more acidic. Coral reefs and shellfish cannot survive
these levels of acid in the water. In particular the Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven natural wonders
of the world, is suffering from this bleaching. The Great Barrier Reef has been declining in recent
years due to this acidification, however, as of recently it has come knocking on death s door. Carbon
levels started rising about 200 years ago during the industrial revolution, because the machines
invented started pumping carbon dioxide ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An economic shortage would also occur because both the fishing industry and the shellfish industry
will simply have less products to sell. The consequences of ocean acidification don t just affect the
ocean, it directly affects humans too. Researchers documented the extent of the damage the reef off
the coast of Australia sustained during the 2016 bleaching event, and found that only 8.9 percent of
more than 1,000 reefs escaped with no bleaching along a stretch more than 2,300 kilometers long
(Kennedy). There have been 4 major bleaching events in the previous 20 years that have affected the
Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia. One happened on 1998, another in 2002, and then one in
2016 and one in 2017. This is the first ever documented occurrence of major coral bleaching
happening two years in a row. The dying of the Great Barrier Reef will hurt the Australian tourism
economy. The Great Barrier Reef tourism generates at least 5 billion Australian dollars a year or
3,297,000,000 USD, and employs nearly 70,000 Australians. The Great Barrier Reef is a huge source
of income for Australia, and if it is destroyed the Australian economy takes a huge hit and in turn
thousands of people will be affected. If the Reef doesn t do enough already, it also provides protection
and a food source. The Reefs dampen the waves that roll it, these waves can cause shoreline

Culture Matters: The Impacts of Asian Culture on Mental Health and the Patient Practitioner
Relationship Mental health illnesses affect everyone. It is highly prevalent affecting people of all ages,
gender, cultures, and social groups. Attitudes towards mental health illnesses vary among individuals
and often are highly influenced by the various cultures that the individuals identify with. Culture as a
social concept can be defined as a set of norms, values, behaviours, and beliefs that are common and
shared amongst a group of individuals (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 1999).
Culture can be applicable to groups like Asians and Americans but also to groups of shared norms,
beliefs, and values established within professions such as the culture of patients and practitioners.
Culture provides these groups with structure and context to understanding their society and the world
as a whole. Culture influence a wide range of aspects of mental health, including how mental health is
perceived by the patient, how the patient will experience mental health stigma, and how they cope
with symptoms of mental health illness. Additionally, these cultural influences impact the relationship
between the patient and the practitioner in a number of ways.

Quote: We need to understand that in racially mixed settings, racial grouping is a development process
in response to an environmental stressor, racism.
Summary: Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria by Beverly Daniel Tatum, is
about the African American youth. Specifically, about their struggles, and experiences. Tatum at first
introduces this essay by pointing out that if you ever walk into a mixed race cafeteria you ll always see
that group of black kids sitting together. She brings this point back up many times throughout the text
and explains it. Tatum explains that puberty plays a big role in this she says that As children enter

familiar with the black man in hand cuffs so they were distant from the black kids unless they were
athletes. She points out how back students even fill attacked by their teachers. For example, she states
how a substitute teacher recommended a community college to a black student and 4 year colleges to
other students in the class. Another example is how a black student was told asked by the teacher to
come to the school dance and when she declined the teacher responded by saying Oh come on I know
you people love to dance . The young black girl felt very offended and told her friend because she
needed comforting but her friend who was white told her don t be sensitive, you know he didn t mean
it he s a nice guy. Then Tatum points out how the eighth grade girls White friend didn t understand it.

Baby Rohan Jameson Ramjit Is Growing Healthy As Ever
3rd Trimester, 31 weeks and 4 days, Baby Rohan Jameson Ramjit is growing healthy as ever. During
these past 7 months, I have gained so much love for someone I have never met before. Being 24 years
old and becoming a mother has changed my views on life. Learning so much about caring for a
newborn has brought on the thought of bottle feeding or breast feeding and trying to figure out which
one is safer for his health. Children enter this world helpless, trying to understand their new
environment and learning their new touch. Infants depend on the caring individuals around them,
especially their mothers, to help them in their first few days of life to figure out the new aspect of life.
It is the obligation of the parents to take care and nurture their newborn. Parents are to deliver for their
children both through emotional needs as well as survival needs.
One thing about caring for a newborn is needing to be fed through the means of milk. Formula bottle
feeding or milk from the breast is a decision made by the mother and father over doing their research
of the health of their child. As stated in Nancy E. Wright s article on the progression of breastfeeding,
Aristotle said, There is a reason behind everything in nature. Certain incidences take place in nature
that has effects or consequences to them. Choosing to breastfeed is a decision that new mothers make
that requires sacrifice and hard work, yet has the prospective to be a very healthy food nutrient for
infants.

A Gui Is The Revolution Way Of Using And Pointers,...
A GUI is the revolution way of using and pointers, windows, menus, and icons interfaces
incorporating into UI elements. These features allow users to interact with applications across
innumerable platforms like PDAs, mobile devices, and laptops. Thus, let s take a moment to imagine
this scenario: How would you feel if you entered a library in hopes of finding the ideal book for a
research paper, only to find nothing but endless rows of unlabeled sections? Perhaps you could use the
computer to access the section and a name, but the effort is pointless since they sections are
unidentified. To add to your disarray not only are the sections not categorized, but books are scattered
among sections having no designated area. Clearly, this layout classifies as mind boggling and
nonsensical. Furthermore, for this purpose developers must heed the design phase by not only being
creative but thinking like a user as well. Developers must concentrate on those factors that render an
application user friendly. Clarity should be the first step towards ensuring an application functionality;
the user should not feel confounded. On the contrary, they ought to perceive the application as
informative, easy to use and deploy the application with confidence. Discuss whether or not the
application behavior follows your definition of Good GUI Design principles (Include your Design
principles in your assignment.). Microsoft Word is a word processing applications designed to craft

Examples Of Father Son Relationships In Long Day s Journey...
Father Sons Relationship
Long Day s Journey into Night is one of the greatest dramas written by Eugene O Neil, somewhere
between 1939 and 1941. His plays were very innovative in this period due to his experimentation with
expressionism and realism. Moreover, this particular drama involves psychological intrigues within a
seemingly dysfunctional family. Namely, the Tyrones dysfunctionality is presented by single day
ongoing in which the readers/audience can find out the causes of the family s discord.
The dominant theme of the play is the past. It shaped the relationship between James Tyrone and his
sons: Edmund and James Jr. Furthermore, the past is seen as a burden and therefore, a common father
sons relationship cannot be realized. James ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, their conversation is full of remarks and swears. Tyrone s accusing makes Jamie s life even
more miserable than it is. He feels entrapped and cannot find the way out. Tyrone never says
something encouraging and praiseworthy about Jamie what makes Jamie to avoid being in the house
and drink:
TYRONE (...) I wouldn t give a damn if you ever displayed the slightest sign of gratitude. The only
thanks is to have you sneer at me for a dirty miser, sneer at my profession, sneer at every damned
thing in the world except yourself.
The relationship between Edmund and Jamie seems to be an ordinary relationship between two
brothers. Jamie, an as elder brother, calls his brother a kid and seems to be really angry at his father s
negligence and stinginess for Edmund s sickness. But, as every character in this drama, Jamie as well
portrays his different side at the moments of drunkenness showing his jealousy at his brother what we
can see in the fourth act. Furthermore, these moments can be justified by alcohol because later he
apologizes for what he said: JAMIE (...) Never wanted you succeed and make me look even worse by
comparison. Wanted you to fail. Always jealous of you. Mama s baby, Papa s pet! (He stares at
Edmund with increasing enmity.) And it was your being born that started Mama on

Persuasive Essay On My Cochlear Implant
Imagine being profoundly deaf and being told by your doctor that you won t be able to hear certain
voices or sounds in your life. Imagine living with that statement every day, and knowing that you won
t be able to hear the whispers in the background or birds chirping when taking a nice walk. Until one
day, everything has changed. All because of one technology, you are able to hear much more than you
were expecting to hear. This whole situation is based on my life, and you are going to learn how much
a CI have impacted me. A CI is a cochlear implant, and it is a device that is worn by a deaf person, and
it sends neural transmitters to the cochlea, and it helps them hear greatly. There are some factors that
have greatly developed me using my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They were all so helpful to me, and gave me the most amazing stories, I was very touched by them.
The second individual factor I used was I would practice understanding how to hear with my Cochlear
Implant, every day, for about a couple years, until the beeping noise would stop. The reason for this is
because, whenever a deaf person first gets their cochlear implant, all noises will be beeping. The
beeping will eventually stop whenever the cochlea will get used to hearing with a Cochlear Implant,
rather than a hearing aid. I would turn off my hearing aid every day, and practice listening to people
and certain different sounds. When I started doing this, amazing things happened. I developed into
being able to hear with my Cochlear implant so well, I could hear birds chirping and ocean waves
crashing for the first time. Since the Cochlear Implant turned on, I could hear my father s laugh for the
first time, and it took weeks to get used to it and fully develop on knowing his voice. I feel like as if
these factors would be individual because I was the one that advocated for myself and research some
information for my own benefit. I wanted to learn how to hear with a Cochlear Implant rather quickly,
and develop that activity, so that I could be able to hear much clearer and better.

2015 Hill Lancet Summary
The 2015 Hill Lancet study was based on concerns about the increased costs and length of stay
associated with falls during hospital stays. Specifically, the study investigated the effectiveness of
individualized falls prevention education for patients at the ward level of a hospital, backed up by
training and feedback for staff. The following is a critique of this study using the Riegelman MAARIE
framework.
Method: The study question investigated was; what impact will individualized fall prevention
education, supported by training and feedback for staff reduce have on the number of falls during
hospital stays? The study was a pragmatic study of patients admitted to one of 8 rehabilitation units in
general hospitals that were over sixty years old, with a projected hospital stay of at least three days,
and had basic cognitive functioning. 3,606 patients admitted were admitted to the eight units during
the study period, with 1,983 in the control group and 1623 in the intervention group. The pragmatic
nature of the study is a strength given the nature of the intervention. However, the investigators do not
explain the logic of limiting the study to patients over age 60, with a length of stay of at least three
days, and this restricts the extrapolation of the results to these groups.
Assignment: The study ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The null hypothesis of no change or an increase in the number of falls is not in the CI indicating
statistical significance. Also, lending to the statistical significance was the fact that additional
statistical testing was performed to account for the nature of the cluster randomization. These tests
determined that the trial would have more than 80% to detect a 30% reduction in falls. Statistical
testing was also completed to account for seasonal fluctuations in patient volume. The rigorous nature
of the statistical testing in this study is a

  • 2. Neuromuscular Junction Analysis The neuromuscular junction constitutes of three regions consisting of the presynaptic cell, the synaptic cleft, and the post synaptic cell. The presynaptic cell is responsible for sending the incoming potential from the axon terminal, to the target cell. This is done by action potentials arriving tot the axon terminal. As a result, voltage gated Ca2+ channels are opened, allowing Ca2+ to enter the cell. Ca2+ will then bind to the synaptotagmin on the vesicles, enabling the vesicles to move through the membrane and bind to SNARE s. Vesicles which are not moving will fuse with the membrane, releasing neurotransmitters through exocytosis. After the neurotransmitter is released, it enters the second portion of the neuromuscular junction, the synaptic cleft. It is a rather short component, synonymous to a transition period between the presynaptic and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Afferent neurons are responsible for sending sensory information from the body to the central nervous system, while interneurons communicate signals within one another within the central nervous system. Efferent neurons transfer signals from the central nervous system to effector organs, one of these including muscles. Integrating the three composes the peripheral nervous system. For a muscle fiber to contract voluntarily, it must receive a signal from the motor neuron in the nrvous system. Electrical sugnal action potential travels down pmotor neuron. At the end, synaptic vesculs have neurotransmitters. Acetylcholine is activated, cross the synapse, physical gap between the two, and bing to ACL receptors. • 3. Atrial And Ventricular Septal Defects ATRIAL AND VENTRICULAR SEPTAL DEFECTS Yulissa R. De Leon June 26, 2016 BS 104 ME1 Dr. Ali Saleh A ventricular septal defect or VSD is a heart defect. It s congenital, this means that a baby is born with it. It is an opening or hole in the dividing wall called the Septum, between the two lower chambers of the heart, right and left ventricles. Ventricular septal defects are the most common type of congenital heart defects. A VSD allows oxygen rich blood to pass from the left ventricle through the opening in the septum. Then it mixes with oxygen poor blood in the right ventricle. There are different types of ventricular septal defects, the type your child has depends on which part of the wall between the ventricles is involved. Also the size of the opening or hole varies. A ventricular septal defect may occur more often in some families, this is because of gene defects. But most of the time, the cause is unknown. Similarly to ventricular septal defect, an Atrial septal defect is a birth defect of the heart in which there is also a hole in the wall in the septum, but instead of dividing the lower chambers it divides the upper chambers of the heart (atria), here a hole can vary in size and may close on its own or may require surgery as well. An atrial septal defect is one type of congenital heart defect, in which also the baby is born with it. For both Atrial and Ventricular septal defect the size of the opening or hole affects how severe the child s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Appalachian Mountains Of North America The Appalachian Mountains are a mountain range in the eastern part of North America. The origin of the mountain ranges name came about when Spanish explorer Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca and his crew were exploring the Florida coast in 1528, they found a Native American town with a name they transliterated as Apalachen. The word Apalachen was also applied to an inland mountain range, and through the course of time it became applied to the entire range and its spelling was changed ( Appalachian Mountains ). These mountains are some of the oldest mountains on Earth. They even predate the formation of the North American continent. Scientists have measured the Appalachian Mountains to be 300 to 500 million years old. These mountains extend almost 2,000 miles from the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador forming a zone approximately 90 to 300 miles wide, and run all the way down to Alabama in the United States. Additionally, these mountains are found in the following states: Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, New England area, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. INSERT MAP of location The Appalachian forms a natural barrier between the eastern coastal plain and the interior lowlands of North America (Aloian 4). The system is divided into three large physiographic regions: Northern Appalachians, Central Appalachians, and Southern Appalachians. INSERT MAP of 3 regions The Northern Appalachian region ... He graduated from Los Angeles High School in 1938 but he did not attend college. However, he thinks libraries are much more important than colleges and universities. After a few minutes the kids will call George and Lydia and when they will enter in the nursery to see what was happening the children will lock them in. It seems quite clear that the children are more connected to the house than they are their own parents. At this moment we understand that besides the African setting, George and Lydia find personal recreations of their belongings in the nursery. Structural analysis . At the beginning of the story we have a description of the situation. We know the story happens in the future. We know there is a family who lives in a mechanical house but the situation is normal and realistic. The complication in this story will be the nursery because it seems to be stuck in an African setting. it will create a real conflict between the nursery and the parents and also between the kids and the parents because they are actually the ones who create that African veldt. The tension increase during the story when for example, Mr. and Mrs. Hadley heir screams coming from the nursery, when they saw the nursery door trembling as if ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Importance Of School Students In High School In this essay I will argue that high school I will argue that high school students not let people around them influence them to enroll into college right after their high school career because it often leads to wasted money, long term financial issues, including stress and many other factors that come with long term effects. Many parents pressure their teenagers to start choosing colleges to enroll into while they are juniors and seniors in high school, and sometimes even children who are still in elementary school. Many of these teenagers do not even know what their choice of major would be, or have no clue what a major is. It takes a significant amount of time to explore the different types of majors and programs that would be accessible at certain colleges. For example one school may have a dermatology program, while another school may not even offer that program at all, which means a person may have to consider looking at a different institution. Teenagers only make decisions based off of the approval of those people that have the biggest impact or influence on them. This is not a good choice because most of the time the decision is not theirs and they realize this later on down the road when it is a little too late, leading to wasted money. The average family earns about $70,000, which is less than the average expenses of a general college student who is paying out of pocket for books, cost of attendance, etc. This gives an ideal many middle class families will go ... • 7. The Rhetorical Analysis Of The King s Speech In the film The King s Speech , written by David Seidler and released on November 26, 2010, the filmmaker portrays Albert being constantly under pressure for speaking correctly, by comparing his speech to great broadcasters who are anything but great leaders. The pressure that comes from Albert s father, King George V, results in more frustration for the both of them, without either of them realising that to lead a country into greatness depends more on just speaking well. Throughout the film, there had been ideal speech models like Hitler, David, and King George V, shown in order to compare their speech to Albert s and to show what a great speaker has to sound in order to gain the public s support. Ironically, all of those speech perfect models turned out to be egocentric individuals and the least egotistical leader, Albert, is the one with the impaired speech. I argue that in The King s Speech , the characters who serve as models of ideal speech are figures of oppression, therefore the author is implying that the idea of having ideal speech does not live up to it s praise. Oppressive leaders like Hitler have used public speaking in order to bring destruction to the world like war. In the scene when the royal family is watching him on the projector, Hitler is controlling a mass army while speaking with a powerful tone in a fast and concise pace. Hitler s body language also represents the intensity of his message to his country by pointing his fingers vigorously. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Fire Safety Engineering Technology Degree As a kid I looked up to my twin brothers, Sandy and Randy, who were 19 years older than me. When I was around 13 years old, I started tagging along with my brother, Sandy, who was a volunteer firefighter. I loved running calls with Sandy, and knew that I would be a firefighter when I grew up. I will never forget the time I went to a house fire with my brother. It was like yesterday. The fire pager went off. Sandy turned on his red light, and we took off in his truck. Before I knew it, we pulled up to a house with fire shooting out the first floor window, and Sandy went to work as a firefighter. That was it. From that point on, I knew I would be a firefighter. As a student in middle and high school, I struggled with ADHD. Those struggles made me doubt myself when it came to academics. After trying for four years, I finally became a Charlotte Firefighter when I was 22 years old and recently engaged to my fiance. I knew that this was my chosen profession, but I also realized that to advance in it, I would have to face my academic fears. What makes the man I am today ready for the academic challenges I so struggled with as a kid? Such firms often publicize the fact that their products are not made with Anti globalization activists and environmentalists also deplore transfer of heavy industrial manufacturing (such as chemical production) to the developing world. Although chemical factories have little in common with sweatshops in the original sense, detractors describe them as such and claim that there are negative environmental and health impacts (such as pollution and birth defects, respectively) on workers and the local community. Because of the relatively higher value placed on male education, young women are often encouraged by their families to leave school and migrate to urban areas or Export Processing Zones (EPZ) to work in the garment industry. As outsiders in a new community, these young women lack the legal or family support they might receive in their own community and therefore, have to spend a larger amount of income on supporting themselves. Consequently, these young women who are no longer receiving an education often find it hard to earn enough money to send back to their family.[21] The division of labour in sweatshops is gendered because the vast majority of workers are young women. The problems faced by many workers are also gendered because gender based notions of what is acceptable inform working conditions. Thus medical or maternity leave, employer / employee relations and the right to organize can all become gender biased. Consequently, the negative aspects of sweatshops have a disproportionate impact on women. Because of this, some argue that efforts to combat the poor working conditions in sweatshops should focus more on empowering women[citation needed]. Although company led attempts to improve the working conditions in sweatshops such as the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) have had some successes, others criticize the ETI as gender blind [citation needed]. • 11. Andrew Carnegie And The Gospel Of Wealth Andrew Carnegie (1835 1919) was a major American industrialist in the late 19th century and after obtaining substantial wealth from his steel industry, became an advocate for giving back to the less fortunate. Carnegie s desire to donate to those less fortunate came from past experiences, growing up as an immigrant and working in a cotton factory young. He knew and understood the hardships that people faced when not able to acquire the type of wealth he rose to earn. Through his long life this atypical businessman advocated for many and dedicated the later years of his life to promoting the general welfare of the world. After having enough of the steel industry in which Carnegie built from the ground up, with little training and knowledge in the field, other than his past experiences from working on the railroads and investing in oil and iron companies, The Gospel of Wealth (1889) was written. At the time of booming industry, few men had the opportunity to amass such vast fortunes such as Carnegie, and in writing The Gospel of Wealth (1889), Carnegie wanted to inspire to those with money to donate and give back to the less fortunate, and life with be better for everyone. He penned that greedy men who let their money die with them are a disgrace, and that the wealthy have a sort of obligation to promote the common welfare for the average American. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In his clinical observations Freud found evidence for the mental mechanisms of repression and resistance. He described repression as a device operating unconsciously to make the memory of painful or threatening events inaccessible to the conscious mind. Resistance is defined as the unconscious defense against awareness of repressed experiences in order to avoid the resulting anxiety. He traced the operation of unconscious processes, using the free associations of the patient to guide him in the interpretation of dreams and slips of speech. Dream analysis led to his discoveries of infantile sexuality and of the so called Oedipus complex, which constitutes the erotic attachment of the child for the parent of the opposite sex, together with hostile feelings toward the other parent. In these years he also developed the theory of transference, the process by which emotional attitudes, established originally toward parental figures in childhood, are transferred in later life to others. The end of this period was marked by the appearance of Freud s most important work, The Interpretation of Dreams (1900). Here Freud analyzed many of his own dreams recorded in the 3 year period of his self analysis, begun in 1897. This ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. A Summary Of Data Analysis There are numerous ways to represent this data visually and numerically, the first graph I did was the stem and leaf plot where you can see the frequency much clearer since the original data numbers are shown as in compare like a histogram where the frequency is easy to see, the original data points have been lost. For an example the grades, there are 13 values that were in the seventies, but is hard to determine from the histogram what those values might have been. In the stem and leaf plot shows the original values way easier, which is perfect to show to younger students because the horizontal leaves in the stem and leaf plot is the same to the vertical bars in the histogram, and the leaves have the heights that equal the numbers in the ... In the box and whisker, the median is 78, almost 80, and that fifty percent of the students scored between 67 and 86 points, and seeing the plot is skewed to the left means that there are more values in the highs rather the lower numbers. The histogram and stem and leaf plot also shows how students passed the test by seeing the median and mode on the graph. The assigning of the scores I decided to have five letter grades which were, A, B, C, D, and F. Letter grade A is 90 100, B is 80 89, C is 70 79, D is 60 69, and F is 59 0. The reason I chose this grade assignment is because I wanted to know how many students have passed the exam beyond average or below. The average is a 70 79 and having five categories can show which students actually know the subject or need to work on it, whether over the average or under the average. Describing the middle of the data is that the central tendency by using the mean, median, or mode. The mean gives us the average, the median gives us which is the number in the middle of the set, while mode show us the most frequently occurring value in a data set. The box and whisker and histogram, it s better to use the median to describe the middle because since the mean is less than the median, that s why it s skewed because the high scores influence the direction of the graph. In this case, the median may be a better option to represent the typical grade on the test. To describe the overall ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. The Malleus Maleficarum, By Dominican Inquisitors Heinrich... The Malleus Maleficarum, published in 1487 and authored by Dominican Inquisitors Heinrich Kramer and Jacob Sprenger, was used by Catholics and Protestants as a bank of knowledge on how to locate and prosecute witches. Though the text was published in 1487, it was still used as the premier text on witches well into the 18th century. The text is incredibly thorough, covering the topics of witch identification, explanations of how witches make their pacts with the devil, and how to effectively conduct a trial. This text was written to be read by upper class members of the clergy and secular governments. The audience of this text largely informed the language and content which Kramer and Sprenger used and included. Because of the very clear and directed audience who was intended to read this text, the authors got away with rhetoric which would not necessarily be believed or agreed with by the laypeople who would actually be affected by the contents of The Malleus Maleficarum. The Malleus Maleficarum is explicitly misogynistic when addressing who can be a witch, when describing the pact that a woman makes with the devil, and the process by which an accused witch is questioned and tried. The Malleus Maleficarum is very explicit about which gender is more likely to practice witchcraft. Multiple sections of the texts specifically reference the fact that women are more likely to be witches, and gives details about why women are more likely to be coerced into witchcraft by the ... • 19. Theme Of Hospitality In Beowulf By demonstrating how the benign exchange of hospitality changes into a vicious cycle of assault and retaliation and how it ultimately leads to tragedy, Beowulf makes a point about the limits of hospitality, whereby nothing short of death can end the cycle of obligation. The world of Beowulf is constructed upon the rules of hospitality and requisites of reciprocity. As Marcel Mauss asserts, there are no free gifts. Regardless of time and place, a gift of any sort obliges a person to reciprocate the present that has been received (Mauss 9). While it might appear so, Beowulf s arrival at the shores of Denmark to proffer his help to Hrothgar to kill the monsters is not a simple act of selflessness. He partakes in a system of exchange that underlies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Heardred s mistake in offering hospitality to the sons of Ohthere results in him being mortally rewarded with wounds from a sword (2386). Onela s treatment of Heardred s hospitality as treachery results in a cruel parody of hospitable exchange: a fatal sequence of assault and revenge. The fate of Heardred also serves to reaffirm that hospitality in this poem can never wholly seal itself from treachery and peril. Later on, in his report to King Hygelac after returning to Geatland, Beowulf speaks of how Hrothgar attempts to make peace between the Danes and Heathobards by marrying his daughter Freawaru to Ingel. In spite of the feud between the two sides, the Heathobards are obliged to host and entertain the Danes since a Danish princess is marrying the Heathobard king. But as Beowulf mentions, the spear / is prompt to retaliate when a prince is killed (2029 30). Paradoxically, the system of reciprocity here becomes a source of both Heathobards hospitality (as host) as much as their desire to retaliate against the Danes. Ultimately, the force of grievances outweighs the bond established through the offering of the bride as a gift: a guest who wears the heirloom snatched from the host s father has betrayed hospitality, which invites retaliation from the host. This suggests the limitations of hospitality as a principle of socio economic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Oral Communication Section A A1) Communication is sharing our feelings, experiences, thoughts, suggestions, feedback and etc. So usually before communicating with another person, we tend to think of how to speak, what to speak, when to speak and which channel I should adopt to before communicating. The sender is the person who sends the message. Let s take an example for this case; two people are communicating between each other. The sender is Amy and the receiver is Pond. Amy will send the message, which is the information she would like for Pond to know. She will then encode her message, which is transforming her message which can be transformed into written words or verbal communication. The World Where Steam Power Is The Primary Form Of Energy Imagine a world where steam power is the primary form of energy, where Victorian style is still in full bloom, and where technology is king, yet it is not the technology of today, but the technology of today as the Victorians might have imagined it. Add in a hefty dose of gears and mechanical parts, a large helping of fantasy and science fiction and top it all off with alternate history as it might have been , and you will have the steampunk world. Steampunk started as a subgenre of science fiction and alternate history back in the 1980s, and was a fairly underground subculture until recently. Growing in popularity, steampunk is close to mainstream now; with clothing, furniture, decorating items and films all designed to suit the Victorian, yet modern sensibility. Despite its climb to conventional, steampunk still relies on an individual outlook, a taste for modifying and adapting secondhand objects and a sense of humor and whimsy. Together with the school administration, 9 12th grade teachers, students, and counselors we will attempt to come up with the best and efficient mode of conducting the research. Addressing the issue of young people with disabilities requires the inclusion of a larger audience such as the students, teachers, and administrators (Supports Center, 2004). According to Milsom, counselor s assigned the role of preparing students for the job and life outside school has failed to adequately present the disabled students with skills to cope with life after school (2002). The research records the type of instruction and skills taught to the students, looking for the relation of the information and survival in the outside world. The study will collect data by asking the students questions related to survival outside the school and rate students according to the level of preparedness. Learning so much about caring for a newborn has brought on the thought of bottle feeding or breast feeding and trying to figure out which one is safer for his health. Specifically, the study investigated the effectiveness of individualized falls prevention education for patients at the ward level of a hospital, backed up by training and feedback for staff. The following is a critique of this study using the Riegelman MAARIE framework. Method: The study question investigated was; what impact will individualized fall prevention education, supported by training and feedback for staff reduce have on the number of falls during hospital stays? The study was a pragmatic study of patients admitted to one of 8 rehabilitation units in general hospitals that were over sixty years old, with a projected hospital stay of at least three days, and had basic cognitive functioning. 3,606 patients admitted were admitted to the eight units during the study period, with 1,983 in the control group and 1623 in the intervention group. The pragmatic nature of the study is a strength given the nature of the intervention.
