Last weekend, I had a chance to re read my adorable novel, My Sweet Orange Tree.
The book is about a 5 year old boy named Zeze, who grows and becomes mature
through many experiences with his friend named Portuga and his orange tree named
Minginui. When I first read the book, I could not understand the author. The author
intentionally makes Zeze suffer too much under a harsh reality of society, starting
from his young age; Zeze is always misunderstood and overly punished for his naive
but problematic behaviors, and at the end he loses both of his best friends, Minginui
and Portuga, by accident. They were the only friends who Zeze could really
communicate with, and the loss of them just leaves Zeze alone in the harsh world.

Part II: Reaction after Class Discussion After the class discussion, I will have to
say that I like the story even more than a initially thought. Me liking the story more
is mainly due to me understanding the story better than I did the first time I read
