The video game industry is a multibillion dollar a year industry, so it isn t hard to understand why
they go through great strides to protect their image. They provide entertainment to all ages,
genders, nationalities, and ethnicities. Contrary to the opinions of the industries opponents,
video games are not destroying our youth, they challenge, educate, and provide an escape from
an oppressive world. There are four main types of video games; RPG or role playing game, RTS or
real time strategy, FPS or first person shooter, and sports titles. Of these the FPS is probably the

They must learn economics, politics, diplomacy, construction, military tactics, naval power, and
siege tactics in order to survive for more than an hour of play. Rome: Total War has two different
screens that a player must learn to master, the campaign map, where armies, navies, and
diplomats are moved, and where cities are managed. Then there is the battle screen which
changes every time a player attacks or defends a different location. It is on this screen that the
game is truly won or lost. Gamers must fully understand the strengths and weaknesses of not
only their units, but the units of their enemy. This is but one challenge for gamers, they must
also learn how to confront elephants, chariots, siege weapons, and the naked fanatics of the
Gauls. The next type of game is sports titles, which are probably the most popular for a group of
people, rather than the individual gamer. Sports titles cover everything from football and baseball
to golf and auto racing. These games are equally enjoyed by both players who are or were jocks,
and for those who wish they were. A person learns the mechanics and intricacies, giving them a
greater appreciation for the game overall. Sometimes the video game can create a fan of a sport
where none existed before. It is obvious that video games are not all about sex, drugs and violence.

3. Political Allegory In Animal Farm, By George Orwell
Animal Farm is another book where the road for a better life changes society yet, becomes either
no different or worse. In George Orwell s novel, all animals are equal, but some animals are more
equal than others . Animal farm in a short summary is a small farm where the animals plot a
rebellion against the humans, which they believe are corrupt. Two pigs, Snowball and Napolean,
find themselves becoming the leaders of the animal rebellion. Throughout the story the animals
create a communist like government called animalism , which states all animals are equal and
share equal responsibilities in the farm however; the book features a series of change in
government styles such as: dictatorship, communism, totalitarianism, and circling back to a
dictatorship. Animal farm also features social commentary that leads to it being a dystopia as it
discusses the working classes, human corruption, propaganda, and abuse of power. George Orwell,
also author of nineteen eighty four, first published Animal Farm on August 19, 1945. Orwell uses
simple and easy to understand style while writes his novel as a political allegory,or story with a
hidden meaning. He strategically wrote the farm tale, Animal Farm, as a satire of the russian
revolution. The book uses the personification of animals to represent figures of Soviet Russia
during the Cold War/World War II. The novel shows how easily good intentions can turn into a
tyranny, like how the road to a utopia can subvert into a dystopia.

5. Modern Art And African Art
There is a clear connection between modern art and African art. African symbols, shapes, and
ideologies influence paintings, textiles, and sculptures. However, not many discuss comics within
the traditional definition of art. The medium of comics boomed after the Great Depression with
Superman. A time of hardship, the Depression left people needing something to believe in. Since
the beginning of time people have used storytelling and mythology to explain the world around
them. After the Depression with the birth of Superman, superheros were no different. Superheros
are modern mythologies, a phrase coined by Richard Reynolds. In his book, Super Heroes: A
Modern Mythologies, he refers to Roland Barters essay Myth Today, which points out that
mythology represents culture as nature to explain the political and social anatomy of societies.
Superheroes contribute to this concept by using science and magic to create a sense of mythical
wonder. Reynolds uses the example of Thor, who is a god trapped on earth in the body of a
scientist with a walking stick as punishment from his father Odin. Throughout the comic book
universe there are heroes that not only draw from Norse mythology, but Native American, Hindu,
and Greco Roman mythology as well. One has to wonder if there is a connection between
superheroes and African mythology. The Yoruban orishas of Nigeria, which parallel the
mythologies listed previously contains different deities each representing an aspect of nature can be

Human beings are complex. There is not one person on this earth that is perfect, but that s the
beauty of it. Everyone has moments in their lives where they might just go crazy. Mass hysteria is
a condition affecting a group of persons, characterized by excitement or anxiety, irrational behavior
or beliefs, or inexplicable symptoms of illness (Dictionary.com). There have been multiple instances
where large amounts of people have identical symptoms that alienate them from others in society.
Many factors play into the incline of mass hysteriain students over others: similar social problems,
challenges, or traumatic events.
Everyone deals with stress at some point in their life, and students especially are burdened with
many different forms of it. Earlier this year, in the Okongo territory of Ohangwena, Namibia, the
Oshisho Combined School experienced its first outbreak of unnatural behavior. Basically, a bunch
of girls at the school were acting and doing very abnormal things and no one knew what was going
on. According to the African News Service, the students exhibited strange behaviour such as
speaking in what sounded like a strange language. There were a lot of rumors swirling around that
coerced people into thinking that the bizarre behavior, from mostly girls, was related to that of
witchcraft. They diagnosed the girls with the medical condition called Mass Hysteria (African news
service 2017). This quote, and the details succeeding it, supports the idea that

than we think.Last, there is a lot of evidence to support my claims.
Most pollution comes from land. Did you realize that polluted water might even be a problem in
your own home, even if you live in a city with treated water supplies? First of all, sadly water
pollution is in our homes when the government treats out water they are actually putting harmful
chemicals in the water to clean it. The problem is that normal degradation leaves particles that can
still be harmful to living things nanoparticles and microparticles,In addition, plastic is not
biodegradable well it takes 10,000 years for one water bottle to biodegrade so it last very long and
for that times it will continue to harm many animals. Water pollution is a major contributor to
declining health and wellbeing of animals, plants, ecosystems, and even human beings in the United
States and in the rest of the world. As you can see, most pollution comes from land for example
plastic comes from factories then ends up in the ocean.

Improving the Inventory Process Abstract
MMAS manufactures and distributes high accuracy metering products to the North American
utility, sub metering and industrial markets. The company recently revamped its procurement
processes, switching from offshore to domestic parts suppliers for some components to provide
more flexibility in its supply chain. Workers at its 100,000 sq ft manufacturing and distribution

single database the data needed for a variety of business functions such as Manufacturing, Supply
Chain Management, Financials, Projects, Human Resources and Customer Relationship

The company found a technology solution to help its distribution operations keep pace with the
company s growth QuikTrac. With QuikTrac MMAS will be able to cut the time it takes to
complete its physical inventory process in half and significantly improve inventory accuracy and
warehouse efficiency using a wireless data collection solution that communicates in real time with
its MAPICS enterprise resource planning system. Using label printers, MMAS has deployed bar
coded location labels throughout its warehouse. Workers scan the location labels with the mobile
computers, and key enter quantities during inventory moves. Warehouse employees will also use
the devices for cycle counting, and annual physical inventories.
In order for QuikTrac to be functional several system updates had to occur, software had to be
updated and new servers had to be installed in order to hold the abundance of information that
would now be input via wireless devices. QuikTrac system requires at least 2.0 GHz with 20 GB

11. Developmental Stages And Theories From Birth From Adolescence
Developmental Stages and Theories from Birth to Adolescence
Neurological Development
According to the Urban Child Institute, the first three years of development are a crucial time for
brain development. The human nervous system starts to develop at around day eighteen after
conception (Carlson, 2014, p. 55). The brain stem is vital to instinctive functions, such as reflexes,
breathing, and heart rate (Urban Child Institute , 2016). These are functions in the body that just
happen without thinking about doing anything. The cerebrum is a large portion of the brain, which
connects the cerebellum to the brain stem (Urban Child Institute , 2016). This part of the brain is
where complex processes like memory and learning take place. The exterior of the cerebrum is the
cerebral cortex, this part is not fully developed until adulthood and this is where sophisticated
activities, such as planning and decision making are taking place (Urban Child Institute , 2016).
The brain is also broken into four smaller pieces called lobes, they are the occipital lobe, parietal
lobe, temporal lobe, and frontal lobe. The occipital lobe is in the back of the brain and is in charge
of vision. The parietal lobe is related to bodily sensations such as your body temperature, pressure
and pain (Urban Child Institute , 2016). The temporal lobe is intricate to hearing, language skills,
social understanding, and observations of people s eyes and faces (Urban Child Institute , 2016).

13. Analysis Of Mothers Day 1996
Dale Kennington s unique artwork presents a realist view which encourages the viewers to
examine her art that illustrates everyday occurrences in a new and distinct way. In her oil on
canvas piece, Mothers Day, 1996, Kennington displays numerous young girls clothed in
extravagant, decorative dresses in a nondescript waiting room; many accompanied by what seems
to be their mothers. Each dress is depicted with vivid, saturated color for implied emphasis. The
adult women, assumed mothers by the title of the piece, are primping their daughters for what
seems to be a pageant show of some sort by the identification number visible on the dress of one girl
. Light and bouncy curls accentuate the young girls faces as they prepare for the show. Light
from an unseen overhead light creates a spotlight on most of the girls, casting shadows across the
room s floor. In this scene, the mothers seem to be actively preparing their daughters whereas
most of the girls appear to be unbothered and patiently waiting for what is to come next. This
piece is quite large, 10 by 6 feet, which allows for the audienceto feel as if they were standing in the
painting; this emphasizes the realism of the piece. Kennington s use of realism allows for this scene
to be represented candidly, and without artificiality and she achieves this by using formal
components that challenge the audience to rethink their predetermined notions of any particular
event, such as this one. By using elements of design, Kennington brings us into the world of her
artistry. From first glance, the audience s view is directly drawn to a young girl in a green dress
with her mother adjusting her identification badge to her outfit as well as another young girl in blue
being fixed up by her mother. These will be Kennington s focal points. Just as important, the girls in
the back are either sitting or waiting around with their mothers for their upcoming event.
Kennington uses relative placement here to invite the audience the lookfrom the foreground (where
the two girls and their mothers are standing), to the middle ground (where some young contestants
are sitting down and others standing up), and continue on examining the girls in the far back,
seemingly dressed the

to lay off a few or sometimes massive amounts of employees. That s because mergers generally
take place for the purpose of joining two or more companies to achieve greater efficiencies of

why, suggests Peter Cappelli, director of Wharton s Center for Human Resources, University of

17. One Of Ours Book Cover Analysis
This book cover is appealing to me because it shows a peaceful farm with clouds hovering above
it. The cover depicts the first part of the novel when Claude is one his farm in Nebraska. It shows
his farm and his fortunate house in the view, and has peaceful shades of color making it an
attractive book cover. I chose this image because One of Ours by Willa Catherhas several different
bookcovers. This is one of the most appealing to me because they not only provide a pretty picture
but provide an illustration of events that occurred in the novel. This book cover, in particular,
illustrates the days that Claude had on the farm in the first two parts of the novel. It is also the
farm that Claude grew up in so it would only be logical for it to provide a feeling of tranquility
and calmness when looking at a hometown. It may even remind someone of their own hometown,

This has the Nebraskan tone to it because there is nothing but crops for miles. This could
represent the blandness or emptiness that Claude felt while he was still in Nebraska with his
family. In the cover all that is shown is Claude working on the crops by cutting them down. This
hard task is dull and could represent the blandness and lack of interesting things in his time in
Nebraska. Nebraska is usually associated with the Great Plains and its rural locations that
farmers live on. It appears, because of the use of colors, that it is similar to other mid western
works of art. I like this art because it can directly relate to Claude if were to have survived the
war. The piece of art reminds me of The Grapes of Wrath cover because of the colors and the
rural feeling it has. Obviously, the scene shown would have taken place early on in the novel
because he is still manually working on the farm by himself. (Homer n.p). (33 Lines; 539

It is through the opposition of one another that an absence of the love they so earnestly desire is
bred. Rejection is first present in Cyrus Trask s raising of his two sons, Adam and Charles.
Cyrus utilizes a harsh parenting style, one in which he trains his sons for the military from a
young age. Charles excels at the rigorous trainings, while Adam struggles and begins to develop
a hatred for his father. As Cyrus pushes Adam harder, a favoring of one son over the other is
apparent. Cyrus favors Adam because he feels he is the stronger and better son, I love you
better. I always have...Else why would I have given myself the trouble of hurting you?
(Steinbeck 28). Charles feels rejected and works to gain his father s approval, but Cyrus
continues to favor Adam regardless of Charles efforts. It is due to this rejection that Charles
develops a sensitive and violent personality, Rage came first and then a coldness, a possession;
noncommittal eyes and a pleased smile and no voice at all, only a whisper. When that happened
murder was on the way (30). Charles violence and anger are a failing effort to fight for love,
which in return only makes him a broken man. Cathy Ames is an example of how rejection by one
woman can lead to the downfall of all those around her. Cathy was born an enigma and used this to
manipulate others. People were drawn to her out of curiosity so in return she lures them in and then

19. Detrimental Effects of Beauty Pageants
There is an ongoing debate on the detrimental effects that beauty pageants can have on their
contestants. Judged solely on physical beauty, beauty pageants have been around for quite some
time. The first pageant, the Miss America pageant, was held in 1921. Miss Universe and Miss
USA soon followed, and by the 1960 s beauty pageants were part of American culture. Viewed as a
positive and potentially rewarding competition, pageants have now recently had a drastic turn of
view. Advocates of beauty pageants put forth that beauty contests develop self esteem and
confidence (Ending the Hypersexualization of Girls). However, beauty pageants can be a highly
destructive concept that can put too much pressure on its contestants to look perfect, put parents in
a financial crisis, and quite frankly, be simply unhealthy. As well as participation in beauty
pageants, there is a rage of them on television as well. Television images and broadcasts have had a
huge impact on it s participants and the type of messages they internalize about what is normal .
(Could Child Beauty Pageants Be Banned in the USA?). Children, as well as teens, view what they

This unearthing of new ground eventually brought about hope for many individuals seeking a new

strived for an opportunity to make a living with great possibilities, and without negative

There are many opposing views on the basis of child curfew laws.
The main purpose of the curfew ordinance strives to reduce adolescent crime. This idea generates
positive ideas in thought and theory; but the problem continues to remain. Child curfews do not
seem to lower this crime rate. Research in the United States revealed no link between areas with
child curfew and their crime rate. The majority of child crime happens from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.,
which has no foreseeable relationship with a child curfew. The areas that see the most improvement
are areas with zero tolerance policing and other similar strategies.
The 14th Amendment of the United States says that no state shall make or enforce any law
which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; this should
apply to local government also. Cites and towns should not have the authority to take away
privileges of citizens solely based in fear of unforeseeable crimes. They are taking away a right of
all citizens for crimes that have not even been committed yet. Crime prevention attracts a lot of
good ideas, but punishing innocent kids with a curfew in exchange for theorized crime prevention
just sounds ironically juvenile. A friend of mine and his experience will help plead this case.

21. The Factors Of Brand Loyalty
Chapeter1 Introduction
1.1 Background
As a company, customer mentality is important for them to affect the volume of business. Brand
loyalty is one of related issues of customer purchasing choices. FOONG YEE and YAHYAH (2008)
stated that many companies, especially those in the sportswear industry try to enhance brand loyalty
among their customers.
Nowadays, public can notice that there are several companies have a big marketing share in the
world obviously, such as Nike, Adidas, Puma etc. These brands seem dominated the sportswear
market and earned the favor of consumers. In contrary, the competitiveness of small companies is
low. Their scale is not big enough to compare with renowned brand, those companies are
insufficient and being exploited indirectly. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Those factors were influenced consumers brand loyalty towards certain sportswear brands.
2.3.1 Brand Name There are many unfamiliar brand names and alternatives available in the market,
but consumers may prefer to trust major famous brand names. Famous brand names can
disseminate product benefits and lead to higher recall of advertised benefits than non famous brand
names (Keller, 2003). This is important for brands, which have only minor physical differences and

2.3.2 Price According to Cadogan and Foster (2000), price is probably the most important
consideration for the average consumers. Price serves as the stronger loyalty driver. In addition,
consumers satisfaction can be built by comparing price with perceived costs and values.
Consumers with high brand loyalty are willing to pay a premium price for their favored brand, if
the perceived value of the product are greater than cost.

22. The Field Of Machine Learning Essay
Literature Review Introduction: Machine learning is a part of software engineering that advanced
from the examination of pattern recognition and computational learning hypothesis in AI
(artificial Intelligence). Machine learning scrutinizes the study and development of algorithms
that can gain from and make forecasts of the information. The field of Machine Learning (ML)
currently lacks a common platform for the development of collaborative computing. By
composing ML models and algorithms in browser based programming languages, numerous
exploration opportunities are accessible. The most evident is programming similarity: almost all
registering gadgets can team up on the preparation of ML models by contributing some
computational assets to the general preparing methodology and can, with the same code, saddle
the force of advanced prescient models of the same gadgets (see Fig. 1). Figure 1: MLitB

23. The Entangled Political Economy Of Copyright
The Entangled Political Economy of Copyright
Colin Harris1 ABSTRACT: This paper uses the entangled political economy framework developed
by Wagner (2014) to analyze the effects that copyright legislation has on content producers and
pirate communities. I identify Digital Rights Management (DRM) technologies as part of the
superfluous discovery process that results when politically enforced copyright legislation works to
subsidize the cost of creating property rights in creative goods. I also analyze the effects that
criminal sanctions against copyright infringement have on how pirate communities choose to self
organize. I conclude with the claim that the entangled framework provides for better analysis than
the tradition additive political economy framework because copyright does not work to control the
outcome of the system and correct for the market failure associated with creative goods, rather it
influences specific nodes in the entangled system in particular ways. KEYWORDS: Copyright,

printing and regulating books. Their monopoly power, granted by the Licensing of the Press Act

24. Reality and Illusion
Postmodern literature draws attention to its status as fictional to break down barriers between
reality and illusion. The boundaries between real and fake are no longer clear, because identity is
socially constructed. In White Noise and Nights at the Circus, characters such as Sophie Fevvers
and Jack Gladney have fabricated personas, and they exaggerate these roles so that their audiences
cannot tell the difference between what the characters perform and their true nature. There are
many Matryoshka principles in Nights at the Circus, adding many layers of fictionto the story. This
emphasizes the constructed identities of the characters by the authors and the characters
themselves. This essay will examine how performance, mise en abyme, fabulation, and hyperreality
all indicate how identity is constructed. In Nights at the Circusand White Noise, the audience is not
supposed to be able to tell whether the characters are performing a certain role. Instead, they tend
to step into a role, as if this is their true nature, but they know what is adorned. In Nights at the
Circus, when Walser meets Fevvers, he runs through diverse processes of belief and disbelief as
he talks to and observes her. When he is watching her on the trapeze, he starts as quite rational, he
whimsically reasoned with her status as a winged woman and analyzes her anatomy in a scientific
manner comparable to Darwinism by all the laws of evolution and human reason . He represents the

inside the wing storage tanks. In aircraft design, one pump is always running as main pump and
the other pump is standby or armed condition only. The standby pump will work only if the main
pump fails at any time. The fuel valves are controlled by the computer depending on the
requirement or isolation of fuel supply. All fuel probes sensor will continue provide feedback to
the computer for quantity indication. FUEL SYSTEM OPERATION IN PRESSURIZATION

the wing tip. The main storage tanks are connected by vent pipes to maintain the needed
pressure inside the storage tanks so that it will be supplied positively by the main pumps to the
engines or APU. In case of overpressure or spillage during refueling on ground, the fuel goes to
the Surge tank at each wing tip and then, the fuel will be discharge overboard to release the
excess fuel. FUEL SYSTEM OPERATION IN TRANSFER MODE The main pumps are only

What is racial profiling? Racial Profiling refers to the discriminatory practice by law enforcement
officials of targeting individuals for suspicion of crime based on the individual s race, ethnicity,
religion or national origin (American Civil Liberties Union). There are certain races that face racial
profilingfrom law enforcement officials driving or in other important locations. Black races face
racial profiling especially when driving; law enforcement officials target black driver for minor
traffic violations. Spanish racemight be racial profile while walking or driving to search for illegal

towards the shore of the island. Montgomery said, What s the good of getting away? I m an outcast

He felt like society did not accept him for who was because of his beliefs. He knew that people,
mostly the beasts would judge him. Building a stronger, more compassionate friendship with
Prendick made him open up about the different things about the island and how he felt. Talking to
Montgomery more about the beast creatures, Prendick said, In spite of their increased intelligence,
and the tendency of their animal instincts to reawaken, they had certain Fixed Ideas implanted by
Moreau in their minds which absolutely bounded their imaginations (61 62). Prendick initially was
intimidated by the numerous amount of animals around the island because he was not familiar with

fears of walking in the woods. Since Montgomery introduced the different facts and background

I have always been my own motivator and it has not always been easy. Being a first generation
college student meant going it on my own, making mistakes and learning from them. At the start of
my college adventure I met Professor Michelle Field who introduced me to more than my love of
Anthropology, but looking back she is now my inspiration to want to teach Anthropology. This was
not something I knew coming into college, but some of the greatest things in life come together
when you least expect them, you just have to be flexible. Moving to Bellingham to finish my
undergraduate degree came at the most difficult time in my life only days after losing a parent, but

Getting to this point in my academic career has been a balancing act. I spent most of my time as
a part time student earning my Associates while working full time. Getting the most out of my
education was always my primary goal and it meant working hard and managing my time well. I
graduated with Faculty Honors and am currently progressing towards graduating Cum Laude at

and grounded in the reality of what I could handle. Determined to expand my knowledge I wanted

29. Matthew And John Essay
The Gospels (literally, good news ) encompass the Synoptics (Matthew, Mark, Luke) and John). In
the Gospels of Matthew and John, Jesus is revealed; Jesus reveals God (John 1:18; Matt 11:27);
and God speaks finally (Heb 1:1 4). While Matthew presented a narration on the temptation of Jesus,
his transfiguration, and the institution of the Lord s Supper, John was silent on those materials.
John mentions no examples of Jesuscasting out demons. While Matthew focuses on the genealogy
of Jesus, John establishes the deity of Jesus. The Sermon on the Mount and the Lord s Prayer are
not found in John s Gospel. Matthew is the only Gospel writer who speaks directly of the church

But one day, Israel will be restored to its place of blessing (Rom. 11:25 27; 15:8, 9). One of the
purposes of Matthew is to instruct the church. An obvious clue to this is in the Great Commission:
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you (28:20). The discipling process
involves instruction in the words of Christ, and the Gospel of Matthew revolves around five of Jesus
discourses (5:1 7:28; 10:5 11:1; 13:3 53; 18:2 19:1; 24:4 26:1). Instead of emphasizing a narrative
of Jesus life as Mark does, Matthew uses the narrative elements in his Gospel as a setting for Jesus
sermons.
The Gospel of John is a persuasive argument for the deity of Jesus. It concentrates on presenting
Jesus as the Word (Logos), that is, God (1:1) who became a man (1:14). Thus John meticulously
records the statements and describes the miracles of Jesus that can only be attributed to God
Himself. Jesus called Himself the bread of life (6:35, 41, 48, 51), the light of the world (8:12;
9:5), the door for the sheep (10:7, 9), the good shepherd (10:11, 14), the resurrection and the life
(11:25), the way, the truth, the life (14:6), and the true vine (15:1, 5). Each of these statements

are very enjoyable. Depending on the person, some ways may not be as much fun. However, it is
important to give each of the ways on this list a fighting chance in order to maintain healthy blood
circulation.
1. Exercise.
There s nothing like a good, heart pumping cardio workout to get the blood pumping and
circulating throughout the system. In order to get the best results, try workouts like swimming,
jogging, step aerobics, and the elliptical machine. If you re easing into workouts again, take it one

32. The Pros And Cons Of Anti-Semitism
A widely spoken about topic in America is Isms, they can be described as ways to discriminate
practices, cultures, and groups of people; moreover, there are lsists upon lists of isms in today s
society being used to discriminate. Significant oppressions in today s society are racism and
transphobia, and a similar case would be the discrimination of Jews. Represented as anti Semitism,
this can be defined as, Hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious, ethnic, or
racial group ( Anti Semitism ).
Although Adolf Hitler s reign of terror had a significant part in defining anti Semitism, this dates as
far back to the ancient Roman times. In 70 AD the dawn of anti Semitism was exhibited when,
Roman authorities destroyed the Jewish temple in Jerusalem and forced Jews to leave Palestine (
The Holocaust ). Not only were Jews discriminated against prior in World War II and the
Holocaust, today, it is said that, Israeli Jews all but universally say anti Semitism is at least
somewhat common around the world today, including nearly two thirds who say it is very
common. ( Anti Semitism and discrimination ).
Israeli Jews have a strong opinion that, roughly three quarters say anti Semitism is not only
common but on the rise globally, while virtually no Israeli Jews say it is decreasing (Anti Semitism

33. The Interior Of The Schroder House
The Schröder House
When looking at the interior of The Schröder House I thought it was best to begin by analysing
the history behind it. The Schroder House was designed by the architect Gerrit Thomas Rietveld.
It was commissioned by Ms Truus Schröder Schräder, and built in 1924 in Utrecht. The
Designer Gerrit Thomas Rietveld lived in Utrecht, the Netherlands and was qualified as a cabinet
maker. In 1917 Rietveld set up his own furniture store, this gave him the opportunity to create
furniture to his very own design. He was part of an early 1920 s movement called De Stijl (Dutch
for Style.) From 1930 Rietveld worked on his own as an independent Architect. He remained part
of the De Stijl movement until 1931. There he worked alongside Piet Mondriaan and Theo van
Doesberg and many others. The De Stijl movement was formed by a group of architects and
artists who were greatly influenced by the ideals of DaDa. De Stijl was founded by Theo van
Doesburg. The term Neo Plasticism, meaning a new plastic art was adopted by Mondrian to
describe the types of work the movement members created. De Stijl was based around the
principals of fundamental geometry. On commissioning the building of the The Schröder House
Mrs. Schroder had three particular criteria; she wished her children s bedrooms should be able to
fit their bed in two different positions, all should have a door to access the outdoors directly and

because he thinks he doesn t need a good name. He just wants to be Gogol. It is as Nikhil that he

people to work creates unfavorable conditions which affect considerably those who are seeking
jobs. How is it possible to get out of poverty without a job? Comparing to my country Togo, this

Description
Iago is a twenty eight year old man, who is the ensign of the Othello, the play s protagonist. He is
very selfish, hence he manipulates Othello, Roderigo, and Cassio. Throughout the play, characters
have described Iago as an honest and trustworthy man, while not knowing the real him.
Personality Traits
Iago is jealous, dishonest, duplicitous, manipulative, and evil. His jealousy is shown when he is
furious of Cassio becoming the military lieutenant, instead of him. His dishonesty can be seen when
Iago continuously lies to Othello about his wife cheating on him. His duplicity is revealed when
Iago praises Othello in front of him, but badmouths him when around other characters. He is
manipulative, as he uses Roderigo s thirst for Desdemona to do his dirty work: fighting Cassio. His
evil nature is portrayed when he ruins the life of Othello, through convincing him to kill his wife,
Desdemona.
Quotes Iago s essence is his deceptiveness. This is shown when Iago reveals his personal
qualities, and through the death of Roderigo. Firstly, when Roderigo questions Iago about why
he is loyal to Othello, Iago reveals his true self. Iago states, In following him [Othello], I follow but

himself, not for his devotion towards Othello. By saying I am not what I am , he shows

decision on the type of meditationthat is most suitable for you.
Breath Awareness
This is probably the easiest form of meditation, yet it can be extremely profound. All you have to
do is relax in a comfortable position (either sat upright or lying down), with your eyes either open
or closed, and just gently become aware of your breathing, without trying to change it. You can

Traditionally, meditators have used specific mantrawith specific meanings, but it really doesn t
matter what you use as long as you find it comfortable to repeat. For me personally, I use the
meaningless sound oowaa , which I repeat at a constant rhythm like oowaaoowaaoowaaoowaa , and
so on.
Mindfulness Meditation
This involves becoming deeply aware of what actually IS in the present moment. This can be
anything. For example, if you have your eyes open you could become totally visually aware of
your immediate surroundings, plus any sounds too. If you have your eyes closed, you could
become aware of aspects of your body, such as your breathing, your posture, your feeling of
relaxation (or tension), plus even being aware of any thoughts that may naturally arise.
Walking Meditation

aware as possible of the process of walking. In fact, you can do this with any process, such as
making a cup of tea or doing the washing up. Just let the action fully fill your

problems. There are the recommendations of how to permanently solve those problems at the end
of the paper (Grant, 2016).
Background
Between the 13th and 14th of September 2008, the Bank of America and Merrill Lynch entered a
deal which would see the former acquire the latter. It was one of the biggest deals to have ever
happened in the corporate world. Despite the signing of the deal, there was a host of problems that
followed it (Davis, 2008). There are questions that emerged later, and they still demand answers.
The current paper seeks to identify the problems that emerged as a result of the acquisition and
propose solutions.
Statement of the problem
Unhappy and unsatisfied employees of the two entities who feel they were not involved. Angry
shareholders who want an explanation as to why things are the way they are. They do not
understand why the share price is falling in the stock market (Davis, 2008).
The main cause of the problem was the hasty acquisition of Merrill Lynch. Both the employees of
the two entities

41. Mandatory Driving Laws And Legislation For Teenagers
In 2011, about 2,650 teenagers in the United States aged sixteen to nineteen were killed and almost
292,000 were treated in emergency departments for injuries suffered in motor vehicle crashes. That
means that seven teenagers ages sixteen to nineteen died every day from motor vehicle related
injuries (Teenage 1). Teenage drivinghas become an increasingly controversial topic over the past
ten years. Many adults and politicians are fighting for tougher driving laws and legislation for
teenagers. While soon to be teenage drivers, along with current teenage drivers and busy parents
argue that things are fine just the way they are. But, when the leading cause of death among
teenagers in the nation is traffic accidents, things cannot be considered fine . It is obvious that
there is a need for change and something must be done to save the lives of teenagers throughout
the United States. In an effort to lessen the number of traffic injuries and deaths among teenage
drivers, states need to adopt a Graduated Driver Licensing Program (GDL), which encompasses
night time driving, passenger limitation, cell phone use, seat belt use, a minimum holding period,
and a minimum amount of supervised driving hours. In the area of safety issues among teenage
drivers, studies have shown that driver education classes and training are simply not enough, and
the solution every study has found is a Graduated Driver Licensing Program, also referred to as,

42. Compare And Contrast Old Major And Joseph In Animal Farm
Animal Farm Essay
A swift crinkle echoes throughout the room. To gain knowledge, to create in depth thinking, to
relax, the individual reads the Bible. Including sixty six books, written over a period of 1,500
years, selling over 1,000,000,000 copies, the Bible became the best selling book, in the world. The
popular book influences many works of literature. George Orwell s novel, Animal Farm, contains
parallels, to thirteen chapters, of the first book of the Bible, Genesis. Genesis, chapters thirty seven
through fifty, tells the story of Joseph. The two characters, Old Major and Joseph, posses
multiple similarities. Both Old Major and Joseph use their dreams, as a foreshadowing, of the
future. In the book of Genesis, Joseph is made famous for describing his own dreams, along
with the dreams of others. The Egyptian Pharaoh states, I had a dream...I have heard it said of
you...when you hear a dream you can interpret it (Genesis 41:15). The Pharaoh s sleeping mind
allows Joseph to work his magic, his God given gift of interpretation. Joseph is well respected.
Joseph is insightful. Joseph is wise. Old Major is well respected. Old Major is insightful. Old
Major is wise. All the animals are eagerly awaiting to hear his dream. Old Major brought forth a
propering concept of the future, which later became reality. There, comrades, is the answer to our
problems (7). Old Major spread the predictions and plans, for the future, Joseph told the dreams and
truths, of the future. Their

43. Explain How To Build-Up A Bad Smell Of A Water Heater
If your water has started to smell like rotten eggs, you need to sanitize your water heater.
Bacteria build up in your water heater can cause your water to smell bad; the only way to
effectively get rid of the smell is to throughly clean your water heater. Here are the steps you ll need
to follow in order to get rid of that bad smell:
Turn Off Your Water Heater
The first thing you need to do is turn off your water heater. If you have an electric water heater,
just turn off the manual switch. If you have a gas water heater, you ll need to set the control lever
to pilot. The pilot light should still be lit.
You will also need to close the inlet valve on your water heater for the cold water at this time.
Turn On The Hot Water
Next, you ll need to turn on a nearby hot water faucet. It can be a sink or tub faucet. When you turn
on the hot water faucet, you ll want to have someone also turn on the temperature and pressure
valve located at the top of your water heater at the same time. Doing this will help relieve the
pressure inside of the tank and allow ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Add Hydrogen Peroxide
Now you will need to add hydrogen peroxide to your hot water tank. You can use the standard
3% hydrogen peroxide that you can find at your local drugstore. For a small hot water heater, you
ll want to add about two bottles of hydrogen peroxide; for a large water heater, you ll want to add
around four bottles of hydrogen peroxide to your tank.
You can add the hydrogen peroxide by pouring it into the outlet pipe or into the opening near the
temperature and water pressure valve. Once the hydrogen peroxide has been added, close the
temperature and pressure valve. Open the cold water inlet and allow the water heater to fill with
water again. You ll want to close the water inlet value when the tank is almost full.

44. Sports Injuries And Its Effects On The Life Of Athletes
Abstract The main research of this paper is Sports injuries. Sport injuries are very common in
the modern world and it has severe effects in the life of athletes. Injuries related to sport can lead
to loss of life, body parts or career depending on the severity of the accident. Sport injuries have
several negative impacts on the physical, mental, social ability of athletes. To accomplish the paper
appropriately some real life examples have been included in this research, for illustration. For better
understanding of the rise of the sports related injuries, a graph has been mentioned that shows the
difference between the numbers of sports injuries recently compared to 2004. Finally the research

Lott cut his finger off so that he could complete his sport season successfully.
The super Bowl is an American sports event i.e. enjoyed the most byamerican people. American
Super Bowl sometimes becomes very dangerous for players as it involves greater chances of
accidents. In the year 1998, Terrell Davis a player from Denver Broncos, got injured and fainted
in the field while carrying the Super Bowl in his hand (Walker 72). This incident led to several
complications and the player finally recovered completely after a good amount of time.
A similar accidental case occurred in the soccer field and famous sportsman Anthony Van Loo
fainted in the field because of his pre existing heart condition. Anthony experienced the devastating
moment in his life and he could not continue with his football career further due to the incident.
These three incidents of sports illustrates that injuries can be unpleasant in any sports given and
athletes have great amount of risks while they continue their game in the field, in order to amuse
their viewers (Bird 91). Apart from the examples mentioned above, there are several small and large
accidents that have occurred in the past and they have made the life of sportsmen bitter and even
their future uncertain, with respect to their ability to work.

45. The Genetic Code Essay
In the year of 1920 a theory created by two different scientists was born, Russian Scientist/Chemist
A.I.Oparin and an English Geneticist J.B.S both developed this theory known as The Primordial
Soup Theory . This theory basically states that all life 3.8 3.5 billon years ago came from a tiny
puddle filled with amino acids and elements from Earth s atmosphere. An experiment to test this
theory was called Miller Urey experiment courtesy of scientist Stanley Miller and Harold Urey. In
this experiment the two used electric shocks/charges and were able to birth organic mixtures
(compounds).Oparin and J.B.S both stated that a solution of methane, hydrogen, vapored water,

Anyways this RNA world theory claims that RNA is the origin of all living organisms on planet
earth. Even though there is no experiment to back this hypothesis there is however research and
claims in Carl Woese s book by the name of The Genetic Code . RNA is a protein also known as
ribonucleic acid, both RNA and DNA house tons of our (human beings) genetic codes. Seeing
that the theory says that it might not be the exact origin of life on earth it stilled played a part in
evolution. Also recent cells and those that came before it were said to have evolved and bonded
with enzyme compound to make a unit. Enzymes bonded with RNA were stated that they made
a system which stored and created life and evolved. Community Clay Hypothesis states that
biological (living) organisms have ties to being evolved from clay. Hyrdogel clay (water
substance clay) was believed to have formed over billions of years consisting chemicals that were
confined and begun to produce biological matter of dioxyribose nucleic acid (DNA) and forms of
proteins. These chemicals were said to have had evolved and to have made complicated biological
structures/materials. Sadly there s no evidence in the form of experiment to back this claim up but
further studies are showing that this theory might have some potential in the

46. Physics Of Boiling Point Elevation
Introduction
The experiments studied here were used to help shed light on the importance of molality.
Understanding how molality impacts colligative properties is important to understanding solutions.
Concepts like entropy can only be seen through experimentations, and visually seeing entropy on a
graph helps make the concept easier. The data collected from other groups and data found by this
group are all meant to help find correlations between molality and the colligative property of boiling
points. Studying boiling point elevation is a key concept that can only be truly understood through
hands on experimentation.
Materials
The materials used for the experiment include: hotplate, temperature probe, data collection
interface, ring stand, two utility clamps, paper towels, mass scale, cupcake paper, scoopula,
graduated cylinder, stirring rod, beaker, 2.415g of table salt (NaCl,) 7.46g of glucose (C6H12O6,)
400.00ml of distilled water (H2O)
Procedure
The hot plate was set on the base of the ring stand with both utility clamps attached to the ring
stand. They were attached so that one was hanging over the hot plate, while the other clamp faced
directly away from the hot plate. After the initial setup was done, a graduated cylinder was used to
measure out 100.00ml of distilled water into a beaker. For the three non control tests, glucose and
table salt were added to the distilled water at this step. Before placing the beaker of solution onto
the hotplate, 1.61 grams of

47. College Is A Waste Of Time And Money Analysis
College Is Not Always Worth It Located in the 14th Edition of The Norton Reader, an article
written by Carolina Bird titled College is a Waste of Time and Money can be found. In the article
Bird argues that though college may be beneficial for a small percentage of students, but for the
majority it is a waste of time and money. The benefits of a collegedegree can rely on many
contributing factors, but for some college is simply a waste of time and money. Though most of
the sources used in Bird s article are over four decades old, the argument today is still very
strong. One example includes the idea that most students believe that college is the best thing
for them to do for their future, and therefore they enroll, only to realize they are not happy and
drop out. For other students their dream may have always been set on a specific career, putting
college into the plan, but following graduation the job market for their degree is scarce. Within
these two examples one would find support for the argument that college is a waste of time and
money. Written over 40 years ago, Bird argues of college being a waste of time and money to a
large percentage of the college population. Bird s argument is based on two major reasons, which
include students go to college for social reasoning rather than educational, and economics. Students
are influenced to believe that college is the thing to do, to benefit their future. Though college can
provide many benefits for one s future, the

49. Antony And Cleopatra Comparison Analysis
In Antony and Cleopatra, Shakespeare shifts from praising Antony as a great warrior to
condemning him by depicting the gradual decline of his honor and image in order to show his
inner battle between reason and emotion. This is an apparent theme in both the book and the
play, though there might be some small differences, both shows how this inner battle defeats
him and leaves Cleopatra with most of the power. One thing that I noticed is that Cleopatra
seemed far more regal in the book than in the play. For example, in the book when Antony wants
Scarus to kiss her favoring hand (205), he makes it sound like a big honor that he is able to do
this. In addition, the way he describes her makes me imagine that it is a regal and important
moment. In the play, however she does a little dance after he kisses her hand, which to me
seemed like she was acting inappropriately and taking away the importance of the moment. It is
almost as if she was undermining what the warrior had done. She made what should have been a
serious and honorable moment and turned it into a joke. Even though Antony loves Cleopatra
his rational side takes over when he decides to marry Octavia in order to show his loyalty to
Rome. He knows that his duty is to Rome and it is where he is supposed to be and the people of
Rome are not happy about all of the time he has been spending in Egypt. To fix this and mend their
bond Antony agrees to marry Caesar s sister Octavia. This mend is shown when Caesar says that the

The Art and the Business of My Inspirational Film A cultural product that inspires me is the film
trilogy The Lord of the Rings, which was directed by Peter Jackson. This movie gave me
inspiration because of how beautiful and well put together the film was. It made me want to be
involved with the process of how great films are made. According to Wikipedia, Jackson knew
he wanted to bring the movie to the big screen, and was curious to why nobody decided to do so.
He wanted to take advantage of the new technology, and create a fantasy that was serious and felt
real (Wikipedia, 2014). Peter Jackson demonstrates the art and business of the film in many ways,

Peter Jackson watched the animation of The Lord of the Rings, which lead him to read Tolkien s

he was offered to remake the film King Kong. So then he wanted to film King Kong before the

he got started with rereading the books and developing a script (Wikipedia, 2014). According to
the web, Peter Jackson created the remake of Tolkien s novel because he was a fan of the
original work and wanted to bring it to life. He was inspired by his 12 hour train ride when he
