In this project, LCD is used in order to display the status of train arrival or departure. In that way, it
will indicate the motorists that gate is going to be closed.
The program logic is written in embedded c program by using Kiel micro vision environment. The
program written is then converted in the hex code after simulation and burned onto the microcontroller
using FLASH micro vision.
This project can also be developed further to have a buzzer sound in order to alert the public while the
gate is closing. A control room can also be provided at the railway crossings for constant monitoring
of the equipment to reduce the chances of errors and to make this user friendly.

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:

The hardware practical will be carried on the development Board which is having P89V51RD2
Microcontroller from Phillips Semiconductors. It supports ISP programming Mode. The tool used for
this purpose is flash magic for ISP Programming.
LCD:

We are using Hitachi LCD with dot matrix type which supports 16x2= 32 characters. IR SENSORS:
The sensor used is a PIR (Passive Infra Red) Sensor. It is a pyroelectric device that detects motion by
measuring changes in the infrared levels emitted by surrounding objects. This motion can be detected
by checking for a high signal on a single I/O pin.

3.7 Sampling Procedures and Techniques.
3.7.1 Sampling Method
The researcher will be using a combination of both probabilistic and non probabilistic method as the
research is largely qualitative in nature but there are elements of a quantitative nature. By using a
combination of sampling methods it will allow the research to be more realistic and not skewed. The
researcher will apply a non probability purposive method and using the Heterogeneous sampling
technique while analyzing the phenomenon at InterChem Limited as well as a probability technique of
a cluster to ascertain the influence of strategic innovation in the SME sector.
3.7.2 Sample Size
The researcher will be using a census as a result of the population size to ascertain the influence of
strategic innovation on Interchem. According to the central limit theorem which states that if the
minimum number with the sample is 50 or less then a census should be conducted. This is the most
appropriate technique to use due to the size of the population. The population at InterChem limited is
below 30 and they will be developed as the sample frame. The nature of this research is a case study
of Interchem Limited and how strategic innovation can influences it as an SME.

My Experience In School
There are about 180 days of school in a year and this was the last one of my 7th grade year. I had just
finished my 6th hour exam and I was instructed to help clean some of the basses. Once that was done
it was almost time to leave. As time winded down, I stood anxiously at the door waiting for the bell to
ring. When it rang, we all ran out of the school. Summer vacation had started. When I got home, I
finished packing up my clothes because the next day, my dad and I were going to Colorado.
When I woke up the next day, my dad and I got in the car and drove to Chicago. It took around 2
hours to drive to the airport, but after we arrived there, we checked our bags and went through
security. We then walked around the concourse for a while, got some food to eat and then sat down in
the waiting area located at our gate. After waiting for what seemed like 10 hours, our plane finally
arrived and we got on. The flight lasted around 3 hours, and when we finally touched down, we waited
for the plane to arrive at the gate.
Once we got there, we went to our hotel, walked around Denver and then went to a Colorado Rockies
baseball game. After this, we went back to our hotel and slept. We woke up the next day and drove to
