Summary Of The Novel The Bungalow Mystery
The book The Bungalow Mystery is about a girl, Nancy Drew. Nancy is a detective and loves solving
mysteries. One day, Nancy and her friend Helen are on a boat ride, and they come across a huge
storm. Their boat sinks, and they almost drown when someone named Laura Pendleton comes and
rescues them. She then explains that her mother just recently passed away, and she came here to meet
her new guardians. Her mother had said that they were nice, but when Laura met them, they seemed
awfully rude. She had mentioned that her mother had left her a large inheritance, but her guardians
said that she was penniless. Something just seems off. Nancy s father, Carson Drew was in the middle
of this case, and he needed Nancy to go to some peoples houses and judge if they robbed the bank. No
one fits the description, but 2 people are on vacation, or so they thought. A couple of days later Laura
runs away, and ends up at Nancy s house, and she said that she had over heard the Aborns saying that
they were going to steal Laura s priceless jewelry collection! Nancy goes to their house on the lake,
and sees Mr. Aborn going into the woods with a plate of food. Nancy follows him, and sees him go
into a bungalow in the middle of the woods. She then runs off before he came back out. Then she went
home and decided she would go back in the evening. Nancy told Hannah (her housekeeper) that she
would be gone and to call the police if she did not return within a couple of hours. Nancy gets to their

Accounting Standard AASB 112 (Income Taxes) prescribe the accounting treatment for income taxes.
As stated by Leo, Hoggett, amp; Sweeting (2012), transactions undertaken by an entity and other
events affecting the entity have two separate effects, which are current and future tax consequences.

Development cost is capitalised over future period in determining accounting profit but deducted in
the period they are incurred when calculating taxable income (IAS 12, 2012). This will cause Gravatt
Ltd to pay more taxes in the future. Moreover, the company actually had a deferred tax liability of
$80million. This is considered material when comparing to equity of $570million. Thus, it should be
disclosed in annual report as required by AASB 1031.
2.2.3 Tax losses Directors believed that neither current tax liability nor a deferred tax liability was
necessary as the company was making tax losses because of huge allowable deductions available for
exploration and development costs. According to Leo, Hoggett, amp; Sweeting (2012), tax loss
provides future deduction for the company, hence deductible temporary difference exists and deferred
tax asset arises. In facts, Gravatt Ltd had an income tax expense of $24.3million instead of tax losses
if it followed the accounting standard. This might be due to its taxable income was still more than tax
deduction after considering the development costs. Therefore, argument of directors is invalid as
according to AASB 112, tax loss arises when a company s tax deductions exceeds its taxable income.
2.3 Information utility to users of financial report of deferred tax liabilities AASB 112 provides
disclosure requirement in relation to tax in general purpose of financial statement prepared for

Spending Plan Research Paper
Planning and arranging are crucial controls for any association. They guarantee savvy usage of assets
to expand benefit and efficiency. Associations techniques are inadequate without spending plans
which give gauges of the money related endeavors that an association ought to subscribe to.
Profit does not simply happen. It must be arranged. Setting up a financial plan is essential, since
without an arrangement there is no ability to know east from west or clarity of reason at working
levels, however it is critical to go about it the right path all together for the monetary allowance to be
valuable for the reasons it proposes. It needs to give medium term budgetary arrangements to all

building up of checking of the differences and putting forward restorative arrangements of activity. In
this manner, a prescribed way to deal with planning would incorporate setting the income piece of the

Hospice Nurse Role
Hospice is a concept of care that is based on the belief that meaningful living is achievable during a
terminal illness that is free of interventions that prolong physiologic dying. The role of a hospice nurse
is to take on a holistic approach to patient care that involves a careful evaluation of not only physical
problems but also the psychosocial and spiritual dimensions of the patient and the patient s family
(Hinkle Cheever, 2014). The hospice nurse is culturally aware and sensitive in their approach to
communication that respects beliefs, attitudes, and values of the patient and family about end of life
care. The hospice nurse also provides support to families even after the death of the patient (Nies
McEwen, 2015).

Mrs. Keith practiced hospice nursing for over 10 years. Mrs. Keith became a hospice nurse because
her mother was dying and choosing to put her on hospice was the best decision she has ever made.
Although retired, Mrs. Keith still volunteers time to time to sit with patients. Mrs. Keith stated,
You walk with families, with all the issues families may have; you walk with them, through their fears
and anger, through love, laughter, and tears. You see great healing and forgiveness at times. A healing
that traditional medicine may not understand. But it is the healing a medicine cannot touch. It is the
healing of love and compassion and presence. It is our presence, love, and compassion, as patients and
families journey, step by step, closer and closer to saying goodbye to each other. (personal
communication, April 26, 2018)

Teijlingen (2014), assert that semi structured interviews consists of predetermined questions where
every participant gets the same key question asked. However, on the other hand there is flexibility in
how the questions are asked and what follow up or probing to use (p.20). Similarly, Clifford, French
and Valentine (2010), describes semi structured interview as a verbal interchange where one person,
the interviewer attempts to elicit information from another person by asking questions (p.103).
Furthermore, the use of semi structured interview unfolds in a conversational manner which offers
participants the chance to explore issues they feel are important regardless of the already
predetermined questions prepared by the researcher. Additionally,

2.0 Arguments For Software Piracy Essay
2.0 Arguments for software piracy
In economical and ethical terms, they are different arguments used to defend the practice of Software
Piracy. For example, some customers might say purchasing software is expensive so the computer
dealers pirate the software and sell it to the customers for a lower price which consists of a bit torrent ,
this is protecting the customers.
2.1 Cost
As broadband internet technology continues to flourish, the price of software continues to increase.
Some people have the opinion that software costs too much which leads them to pirate software at a
lower price as it is expensive to purchase it commercially [9]. This is beneficial to the people that
suffer financially and don t have a good paid job which is likely to help them with the cost of the
software. Pirating software also comes in handy for the university students as it is not always available
at low cost and most good software costs hundreds to thousands and this is the amount that students
can t afford when it comes to purchasing software such as Microsoft in order to get their projects and
assignments done without money to purchase the original software. Therefore, software piracy casts
significant benefits to those who cannot afford the software at such a great price. With some consumer
software packages costing up to $500, the amount of money saved by pirating is not negligible [9].
Consumers also believe that manufactures are not hurt by pirates making illegal copies of their

Abstract:
This paper is about electronic document management and standards for records management. The
author had introduced about the Electronic Document Management (EDM), Full Text Retrieval (FTR)

The author had mentioned about the EDM, FTR and the WWW at the first discussion. This had shown
that many EDM vendors had to promote the off the peg systems. Its means here this system relied on
the use of automated indexing for the retrieval purpose. Then, FTR is limited by its reliance on natural
language. This is because every different records creator will use different terms in order to show the
same or closely meaning. Meanwhile, for the WWW it has great demands and also can facilitate the
searching. This can be seen through the hits that was produces after conducting a searching.
(b) Directories As File Plans
There is a strong argument about the transmitting physical directories of files and filing system into
the electronic channel. Since the emergence of technology, the names of files and directories cannot be
secure. Besides that, this directory structure must be attached within the metadata. The embedded
directory structures have a potential to become an effective damage control mechanism, as a tool for
making searching process becomes more precise. The author had argues that there are also strong
historical precedents in order to advocate electronic records management

been done to further this knowledge. A lot of these other studies were comparable to Scheingold s
studies he had already done on ideology and legal culture, but many of these new studies done in the
late 1970 s also put their attention towards practical legal discourse, dispute resolution and legal
mobilization tactics. These newer studies have dug deeper and found more intrinsic views on the

Police Enforcement Agency Of Bangladesh Essay
Introduction:
The Bangladesh Police is the main law enforcement agency of Bangladesh. It is administered under
the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh. It plays a crucial role in maintaining
peace, and enforcement of law and order within Bangladesh. Though the police are primarily
concerned with the maintenance of law and order and security of persons and property of individuals,
it also plays a big role in the criminal justice system.
After decades of misuse and neglect, Bangladesh police is a source of instability and fear rather than a
key component of a democratic society. A friend asks another friend How many people were there at
the tea shop? He replies, Oh, only a few, just a couple of gentle men and a cop. You must have heard
this joke or one of its many variations. The implied hint is clear. There are obvious reasons behind this
common perception. But like all generalizations, these do not portray the whole truth.
Abstract:
Police is one of the important law enforcing agencies to control the pace of crime and law and order
situation. Subordinate Police Officers are the key role players in this context. At present, crime is
increasing; the criminal justice system is cracking under heavy workload; society s expectations from
the police are high but the police s status and resources, working and living conditions leave a lot to be
desired. Moreover, the law enforcers are encountering some humanitarian issues and limited facilities.

Music in the past has changed over time and has become more complex as each musical age has

Essay about Co Sleeping
Kamy Snodgras English 10:45 Tues. Thurs. Stephen Dufrechou 12/03/13 Benefits of co sleeping with
your infant for the first six months For as long as we can remember we are always told to never sleep
with your baby that you could suffocate them by rolling over on them or what not. In a study by
Davies, he found that prior to the 1700 s co sleeping was a normal thing around the world. It was not
until the 1800 s when the western society moved away from co sleeping to an independent sleeping

Migrant Workers and Xenophobia
In addition, the continued increase of the migrant workers in Singapore might lead to xenophobia in
the country. According to Khan, Rola and Ruxandra migrant workers continue to suffer economic
prejudice because government employment policies operate in favor of national workers (1). In
Singapore, migrant workers make up a larger percentage of the population thereby leading to
competition over employment with the natives. As such, the possibility of xenophobia prevailing in
Singapore is high. This is because competition between natives and foreigners over meager economic
resources has always led to xenophobia in many other countries. For example, xenophobia has been a
problem in South Africa because the residents accuse African immigrants from the horn of Africa for
stealing their jobs (Slier, para. 3). The xenophobia problems come from unemployed South Africans.
Nonetheless, most of the immigrants struggle to earn a living in the same way the natives do but the
natives view them as competitors. For instance, most successful immigrant groups are Somalis. The
reason for the success of the Somalis is their entrepreneurial skills as well as their strong intra ethnic
ties that resemble those of the Indians. Each slum has an isolated Somali neighborhood where most
Somali refugees live and work (Abdi, para. 7). Nonetheless, most Somali refugees and immigrants
face insecurity from the local vigilante groups and gangs because they view them as aliens. However,
there has been

A World Order By Jhumpa Lahiri
Nair attempts to interpret and relocate the characters from their succinct semantic images on paper and
re cast them as believable entities embodying social, economic and psychological baggage in an
essentially postmodern world order. In Lahiri s novel, a world order presents itself where people like
Ashoke and Ashima are subconsciously put on the fringes of the mainstream American society, in part
by their attitude and approach to the new, almost alien societal and cultural experiences and
circumstances and in part by the reaction to their reaction by the world around them. And this is
essentially a conflicting world order where there is an intent to adapt to this bewildering newness
around while there is equally strong a yearning for the familiar and much cherished roots. The two
characters (Ashima more visibly so) are torn, as it were, between the two worlds, and struggling to
conform to either! Into this palpable melee comes the son. The second generation of Indian

explaining the genesis of the universe and how people first came to inhabit it, reveals a parallelism
with the Greek s Theogony. The conquest of Mesopotamia by the Greeks in the year 331 126 BC can
be theorized as one of the potentiality for the Mesopotamian influence on the Greek s Theogony. The
influence of the Mesopotamian tradition is seen in the Greek s account of the creation myth through
parallel concepts. Although Enuma Elish and Theogony have a unique account of how the world
began, and how people first came to inhabit it, they are both analogous in the sense that these creation
myths are based on the foundation of: a successive motif whereby the newer gods overthrow the older,
the rise of an ambitious hero, and an imperfect creation.
In Theogony, and analogous to Enuma Elish, there exists a sequential motif whereby the newer gods
overthrow the older.
The rise of the hero Marduk became one of the most important conceptions in explaining the creation
of the universe and the

Holden Caulfield Red Hunting Hat Analysis
In the novel Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger, Holden Caulfield is a 17 year old junior who is
expelled from Pencey Prep because of academic failure. He then decides to travel around New York
taking it easy before returning home to face his parents. Holden has experienced a lot, the death of his
younger brother, Allie who he idolizes. As the novel progresses the reader can sense that Holden is a
strange boy, from his constant lies to his peculiar views on things. A major symbol mentioned
throughout the novel is Holden s red hunting hat which represents his uniqueness and individuality. In
the beginning of the novel Holden is in New York. Holden is the manager of his school s fencing
team, the team was supposed to have a game in but he forgot the foils in a subway station. After they
get off the subway, a red hunting hat in the window of a sports shop catches Holden s attention and he
ends up buying it for a buck. I put on this hat that I d bought in New York that morning, it was a red
hunting hat, with one of those very, very long peaks. (pg. 17) Even though Holden is aware that the
hat is a hunting hat, he doesn t wear it to hunt. He wears it just because he likes how it looks,
symbolizing the rebellious side of Holden. Near the end Holden is meeting up with Phoebe, Holden
plans on hitch hiking out west that afternoon and wants to return her Christmas money back to her as
well as to say goodbye. Finally, I saw her through the glass part of the door. The reason I

Comparison Of Authority Figures In Romeo And Juliet And...
Comparison of Authority Figures in Romeo and Juliet and Shakespeare in Love Stoppard s satirical
movie, Shakespeare in Love, is a play on Shakespeare s tragic love story, Romeo and Juliet. Stoppard
places Shakespeare himself into a relationship with Viola De Lesseps, that resembles the relationship
between Romeo and Juliet. Stoppard incorporates countless parallels into the film from Shakespeare s
love story, including the character development of major authority figures. The prince and the queen,
Capulet and Viola s father, and the Friar and the Priest are all figures of authority and parallel between
the two works; Stoppard gave his cast similarities to Shakespeare s characters, but they also varied in
some aspects. Stoppard s decision to both keep some and change some character attributes of these
authority figures helps contribute and develop the ending of the movie, just as Shakespeare s character
developments contributed to the outcome of his plays. In Romeo and Juliet, the supreme authority is
the Prince; he is the governing individual in Verona, Italy where the setting takes place, just as Queen
Elizabeth is shown as the highest authority in England in Shakespeare in Love. One key difference
between these leaders in the stories is that the Prince is mostly concerned with keeping the peace,
while the Queen also appreciates and respects Viola s risk and is excited by Viola and her relationship
with Shakespeare. The Queen is exhilarated by the whole ordeal. She

Who Is Boose In To Kill A Mockingbird
When I look back on my experience in Maycomb County, I remember the kinds of things people
thought of others, just cause they were different, or just cause they didn t take part in normal things.
Arthur Boo Radley definitely was one of those people who was judged harshly by normal folk. People
believed that he was a malevolent phantom (8) who committed crimes and peeped in windows (9).
Even after the real culprit of the crimes was revealed, everyone was unwilling to discard their initial
suspicions (9). Jem and I also believed it ourselves, completely oblivious to the fact that the town
folks gossip was nothing but lies. But we realized soon enough that we had only scratched the surface
of this one man s story. One night, Jem and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dubose, one of our neighbors, certainly was a very peculiar woman. She was very old, and seemed
very mean and stingy to Jem and I. She also insulted Atticus on numerous occasions for his standing
in the trial, and that made Jem so furious that he cut the tops off every camellia bush Mrs. Dubosed
owned (103). Of course, when Atticus found out about this, there were consequences. Jem was to
come every afternoon after school and Saturdays and read to her aloud for two hours (105). I chose to
go with Jem, just so that he wouldn t be alone, but that was not the only reason as I soon would find
out. I realized that each day we had been staying a little longer at Mrs. Dubose s, and that she was well
into one of her fits by the time it sounded (109). At the time, I didn t understand why this was the case,
and neither did Jem. However, Atticus later explained to us that Mrs. Dubose was a morphine addict
(111). That drug was supposedly for pain, but before Mrs. Dubose died, she said she meant to break
herself of it (111). Her effort of getting clean of the drug was not a useless one and she die[d] free

Nietzsche s View On Religion
To answer to question if Nietzsche would know really what is god were analyzed all 197 incidences of
the term isolated or in derivation combination in The AntiChrist. [FNTAC F. Nietzsche. The
AntiChrist. Translator: H. L. Mencken. New York: Alfred A. Knopf. Project Gutenberg EBook

The translator s point of view is that Nietzsche argues against Christianity, that is:
1. The abandonment of the purely moral view of life;
2. The rehabilitation of instinct;
3. The dethronement of weakness and shyness as ideals;
4. The renunciation of the whole abracadabra of dogmatic religion;
5. The extermination of false aristocracies (of the priest, of the politician, of the plutocrats);
6. The rebirth of the healthy, noble innocence that was the Greek man.
Nevertheless, one can raise several questions: against which Christianity Nietzsche rebels? If he

Abstract: In this experiment we were provided a cereal box spectrometer to observe the emission lines
of noble gases and hydrogen. Based on the scale readings on the spectrometer and the Balmer Rydberg
formula, their wavelengths and percent error were able to be extrapolated. Based on the literature
values, the cereal box spectrometer proved its value as a decently accurate spectrometer.

reading and colors were then recorded on table 1.1 which can be found below. These values where
then put into an excel spreadsheet and graph was formed (table 1.2). An equation was then
extrapolated from the data that would give the experimental wavelength (expt λ) values that will be

wavelength and scale readings.

Essay The Psychodynamic Approach
The psychodynamic approach focuses on individuals who behave in a certain way due to having
emotional feelings buried deep inside their unconscious mind. The theory was developed by Sigmund
Freud who was a psychologist. The use of the psychodynamic approach within health and social care
helps individuals understand and support patients who are undergoing the psychodynamic process as it
is generally used around the world. This essay aims to show my understanding of the approach and the
ways health and social care workers could apply the theory to a health and social care setting. By
explaining what psychodynamic counselling is and how it helps individuals it shows how I am able to
identify the solutions to the problems.

It is the part that makes people obey the rules and that makes them behave the way they do. It judges
people, criticizes them, and makes them feel guilty when they do something incorrect. It is what
makes people feel guilty and ashamed, it is their inner judge. It is the part of personality which holds
all of individual s ideals that are required from parents and society (individual s sense of right and
wrong). The Super Ego provides guidance in creating judgments. Freud had stated that the Super Ego
starts to appear at age five.
There are two parts of the Super Ego: * The Ego Ideal this involves the rules and standards for good
behaviour. These behaviours consist of those which are permitted by parental and other authority
figures. Following these rules leads to feelings of pride, value and achievement
* The Conscience consists of details about things that are thought of being bad by parents and society.
These sorts of behaviours are regularly not allowed and lead to bad consequences, punishments or
feelings of guilt and remorse.
The Superego s purpose is to act and improve the behaviours of individuals. It operates to suppress all
inappropriate urges which comes from the id and struggles to make the ego act upon the idealistic
standards rather than upon realistic principles. The Superego is present in the conscious, preconscious
and unconscious.

Importance Of Education In Computer Science
Ultimately, education in its real sense is the pursuit of truth. It is an endless journey through
knowledge and enlightenment.
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
I truly adhere to the above mentioned axiom, which made me to realize and understand the importance
of continuous learning and helped me in reaching greater heights. The inherent curiosity for the field
of computers started, right from childhood when I was able to perceive that this magical machine
possesses the potential to simplify the lives of people and empower them. Initially, to my mind, this
machine is a huge calculator, in which the advanced calculations are performed, that cannot be done
using normal calculator. This idea led me to initiate the learning about computers. Tally is the first
software which proved me that I was wrong about this intelligent machine and it is capable of solving
many complex problems that are plaguing in the society. My strong affinity towards latest
technologies, subsequent industry experience and a strong will to reinvent myself through my coding
skills helped me to go beyond horizons. I believed a Master s Program could be a solution for my
never quenching quest for knowledge. Also, the four years worth experience in various application
developments, boundless potential in programming and interest in coding industry drove me to make a
commitment to embark a Master s Program in Computer Science.
Serious interests evolved in me to learn more about science and computers when I was in

Determination And Determination Is The Most Important In Life
Determination means something different to everyone, to me it means persevering through any and all
the obstacles life throws at me. Without any willpower, I d never get anything done, and for that
reason, I m glad to say that determination and strength are most important in my life. It serves a role in
my current life, as well as it will in my future to enable me to be the best version of myself.
Every day is a new struggle, passing tests, turning in homework, keeping my GPA from tanking, it s
almost impossible for me to get through all of this without tenacity. When I m staying up until 2:00
a.m finishing loads of homework and projects, the one thing that keeps me from cuddling up in a
warm blanket and passing out, is my determination to finish the work I ve been given. I nurture this
human capacity in my day to day life, not only in my schoolwork but in my social life. Like any pair,
me and my best friend fight, we ll have friendship droughts , as my mom would say. In spite of all the
fighting, I stick with her because I know all the bickering won t last and there will come a day when I
ll be glad to have my best friend by my side. However, sometimes we do lose people for good and it s
hard to let go of the past and move on into the future. When my grandfather passed away, I felt like I
didn t know how to live anymore. I couldn t imagine getting through life without the one person I
confided in most, the person that always put a smile on my face. I was grief stricken, and the only
thing that allowed me to keep my composure and not fall apart like a brittle vase was my hope that I d
make it past this chapter of my life and move on to better things. Hope is what drives us, it s what
makes us strong, and enables us to keep on keepin on , as some would say.
This determination I ve referenced is what is needed in large amounts for my future job prospects as
well. For a while now, I ve dreamt of starting up my own restaurant or maybe becoming a lawyer, both
require enormous quantities of mental and emotional strength. For the restaurant, I would have to
endure restless nights studying for culinary school, after which I proceed to acquire a building suitable
for my business, hire a staff, spend numerous hours

The Importance Of Free Day At School
When all of the children enter the room, they are automatically greeted with the song, The Ants Are
Marching . This will get them excited for another day at school. After the song, any announcements
that need to be made will be said and children will then be dismissed to free play at the center of their
choosing.
This free play time at any center will give the children time to socialize and talk about any exciting
news they have with their friends so that they will be quieter through the lessons that are planned the
rest of the day. During this time the teacher is free to check in on any kids if need be.
The children will know that free time is done once the teacher rings the bell. After the children quiet
down the teacher will then begin to sing The Soap on Your Hands . The children will know that when
this song is sung that it is time for then to wash their hands. Once they are done washing their hands,
the teacher will instruct the kids to get to their assigned seat.
Breakfast will be served once all of the children are seated. Wednesday the breakfast will be whole
grain oatmeal that has raspberry halves, strawberry quarters, and blueberries in it. Children will wash
this delightful meal down with a nice glass of ice cold 2% milk. Once each child is finished eating,
they will put their plates and silverware on a tray for the teacher to take care of.

subject matter achievement, instructional experiences, and school environment. It covers twelve
different subject areas: the arts, civics, economics, foreign language, geography, mathematics, reading,
science, technology and engineering literacy, U.S. history, world history, and writing. Each assessment
takes 90 minutes. Currently it is a paper and pencil test, but it is moving into computer based
applications. It is conducted in a group setting and submitted to another party for scoring. The results
do not provide individual scores. The goal of this assessment is to represent a report card for the

Ronald Stuart Thomas, born in Cardiff, on the 29th of March 1913 2000, He was a well known poet

mirrors Cynddylan to be part of the machine. Cynddylan seems to have lost connection to the land and
animals as he emptying the wood and scatters hens as contrasted with The Hill Farmer Speaks as the

first describing how Cynddylan has become dehumanised as he has become one with the machine, as

Landmark Civil Rights Cases In Special Education
Landmark civil rights cases clearly prove that segregation does not provide equal access to quality
services. Historically, students with disabilities were segregated, or not allowed access to education at
all, leading the passage of the Education of the Handicapped Act. Least restrictive environment (LRE)
is the special education term which refers to the mandate; children with disabilities should be educated
to the maximum extent appropriate with their peers who do not have disabilities. There is an inherent
paradox with LRE, in that students have a right to be educated with their peers in the general
classroom setting. However instances occur where the general education setting is not what is
appropriate for the individual needs of the student.
School administrators should be familiar with the concepts involved in providing a LRE for qualifying
students. Leaders should pay particular attention to, first and foremost developing a plan which meets
the individual needs of the student. Once this has been accomplished, as Yell (2016) points out, the

harm to her loved ones. Pilate s flight is represented by the bird that flies away with the earrings

production and elimination of H+ hydrogen ions (pH) within the body fluids (William, Simpkins,
2001, p.236). Metabolic reactions within the cells often produce a huge excess of H+. Lack of any
mechanism for its excretion would lead H+ levels in body fluids rise quickly to the lethal levels
(Tortora, Grabowski 2006, p.1001); therefore the homeostasis of the right H+ levels is ... Show more

Simple act of breathing also regulates blood s pH.. When the ventilation rate increases, more CO2 will
be excreted, leading to decreased H+ concentration and raise in pH. Contrarily, when the ventilation
rate decreases, less carbon dioxide will get excreted, leading to its accumulation, therefore increase in
H+ and decrease in blood s pH (Tortora, Derrickson, 2009, p.1002).
As we can see, lungs and brain control blood s pH minute by minute.
When the respiratory system fails to control the pH of the blood through ventilation it can lead to
respiratory acidosis or alkalosis.
Respiratory acidosis is an excess of carbonic acid that is caused by conditions resulting in
hypoventilation and CO2 retention. The major effect of acidosis

Middle School Documentary Techniques
When we made our video we incorporated a few techniques one of them was only wanting them to
reply positively. This was because we only wanted to hear the good parts of middle school. When we
came up with the topic for our documentary, we had to decide if it was going to be subjective or
objective; we decided to choose objective. This is because we thought it would be easier to work with.
The documentary is mainly objective with a little bit of subjective in it. In the documentary, we
recorded it in a way so that we couldn t be seen. We said to everyone to wave and look at the camera
so that they seemed happier. We did this to change the opinion of the person who is watching it so that
they will think that this is how people act in middle middle school but in reality, this is not what
happens. The shots of the middle school also show parts of the building and some other teachers
which talk about what they do and who they are. When the teachers were discussing middle school,
they talked about the good things which influences the grade sixes. We did this to relate to them. ...

We also recorded the other main buildings when you re not in the middle school. We chose a lot of
teachers that were either the main teacher of a subject, or a Year 7 specialist teacher. We did this so
that the target audience would know where to go if they had something wrong. The reason why we
recorded Mrs Deer and Mr Collins, was so then the grade sixes knew what roles they did in our school
and if they needed to discuss anything they could go to them. We showed our video in this way so that
when it is being watched, it isn t too boring watching just teachers getting interviewed, but also other
places that the grade sixes are going to be taught and different teachers that they may not

Kelly Outbreak Analysis
The Kelly outbreak is a famous phenomenon in Australia s colonial history. Whilst some people prefer
to see the outbreak as a simple criminal incident between an outlaw and the police, most historians
view it as a broader sociological phenomenon, involving conflict between a larger rural community
and the colonial authorities. An important issue for historians has been to understand the underlying
causes of this criminal outbreak, whether it was mainly due to personal, ethnic or socio economic
factors. This essay will critically examine each of these explanations and argue that the actions of the
Kellys and their supporters, and the reactions of the police can best be understood in terms of broad
socio economic developments in rural Victoria at the time. In his article, Ned Kelly s Sympathisers,
Doug Morrissey suggests that Kelly s Irish heritage was largely responsible for the Kelly outbreak 1.
To support his claim, he points to the intense emotional relationships in the Quinn/Kelly clan and the
high percentage of Irish sympathisers among Ned s supporters 2. Ned Kelly was clearly imbued with a
sense of his Irish heritage, but the evidence does not suggest that this was a major contributing factor
in the outbreak. Public sympathy, it seemed, crossed social and ethnic barriers 3 and was quite
widespread, especially after the Euroa National Bank robbery, where the efficiency, lack of violence
and manner of the gang were well noted 4. Furthermore, Ned once stated that he

The Art Of Public Speaking Summary
In chapter one of The Art of Public Speaking , Lucas begins by talking about the power of public
speaking he lists all the incredible people foreign and domestic who have spread there ideas and
influences through the art of public speaking. Lucas uses a quote from the Greek leader Pericles , One
who forms a judgement on any point but cannot explain it clearly might as well never have thought at
all on the subject ( Lucas,2012,p.4) Lucas uses this point to clarify the fact that you have to know a lot
about the subject you are speaking on to gain credibility. Later on in chapter one Lucas talks about
developing confidence while speaking in front of a group of people . Lucas goes on to give statistics
like public speaking is the number one fear for 40% of americans according to a 2001 Gallup Poll.
After stating some statistics he begins to give some tips on how to gain confidence in public speaking.
Lucas ends chapter one by discussing speaking in a multicultural world. America is the most diverse
society on earth, therefore as cultural diversity increases speechmaking becomes more complex. the
complexity comes from the differences in languages and meaning. Even basic messages are culturally
based. Lucas is trying to convey that you have to be culturally aware when you are giving speeches to
a large group of people. After reading chapter 1 of The Art of Public Speaking , I have came to the
realization that preparing for a speech is more than doing research and planning out

Benefits Of Liberal Arts Education
The way children are educated early on has a direct influence on their development. There are two
primary forms of education that children are exposed to, the first being liberal arts. In a liberal arts
education the primary subjects taught are, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and formal
sciences. The goal of a liberal arts education is to prepare the student to deal with complexity,
diversity, and change to assist in their adaption to the world later on. The second form of education is
STEM, standing for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM education focuses
more on the analytical side of the school system with not as much thought given to the social and
artistic side as liberal arts does. STEM chooses to integrate science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics in a practical way with emphasis on real world application. The more beneficial of the
two is liberal arts because it exposes students to a more diverse education, it is affordable, and it helps
students gain an awareness of cultural diversity and varied perspectives. One of the advantages found
through a liberal arts education is that it exposes students to more diverse way of learning. Liberal arts
covers general areas of study which includes a variety of subjects such as, humanities, social sciences,
creative arts, and sciences. This is done without the intent of preparing students for a specific field of
work, but to instead equip them with an invaluable set of skills to

Career And Educational Goals Research Paper
My career and education goals are to go UARM and focus on Machine tool technology. Right now I
am currently taking the class after my high school classes and I would like to keep working in this
area because so far I really enjoy the class and I love the hands on work we do with the machines and
computers. In Mena the are lots of jobs in this field and I would still like to live here. My Education
goal is to go UARM and take classes because it s the most bang for your buck and I live in Mena so I
am so close. With it being a smaller school you have a better student to teacher ratio so there are
smaller classes so a student can find it easier to get help when needed. So it s the most logical solution
for me when I am choosing this college.

The Color White In The Great Gatsby Analysis
The color white is one of the clearest examples of deceivery in the novel because of its role in
covering up and blurring the truth. Many characters in the novel display this theme. Daisy is most
closely associated to the color white because of her effort to appear innocent and pure. Daisy wears
white clothes and decorates her house in white to hide the scandal and lies that is her real life. Tom
also displays the color white, not through his clothes, but through his behavior. Tom is a raging racists
clearly shown when he says, if we don t look out for the white races we will be utterly submerged
(P.13). Tom associates the color white with superiority and dominance not only in regards to race, but
also in regards to money. His pride and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The color blue is another clear example of the theme of deceptive appearances. The color blue
represents depression, unhappiness, and loneliness. Gatsby s first piece of wealth is a blue coat given
to him by Dan Cody, signifying the beginning of his life as a rich person. In addition, Gatsby s blue
lawn, and blue garden, where he hosts his extravagant parties reveals his sadness and loneliness
everytime Daisy does not show. All of this blue represents an aspect of Gatsby s personality and
identity that he tries to hide. Gatsby is known by the public because of his extravagant parties even
though Gatsby does not attend them. Because of this, everyone speculates on the real identity of
Gatsby. Gatsby has worked hard his entire childhood and development to achieve his dream of wealth
and happiness, yet once he is granted just that he he can not even show his face to those he aspired to
be. Gatsby is constantly held back by his blue life despite his effort to ignore it which is a clear
depiction of a deceiving the world through outward appearances.
Green is one of the best examples of deception in the novel. Green represents all of the things that
Gatsby desires like hope, happiness, money, and Daisy, but is all covered by green envy instead. One
of the most crucial parts of the novel is when Gatsby reaches out from the dock at his house towards
the green light at the end of Daisy s. Gatsby sees a

Alicia Giving Up
Life in the 24th ward will either make or break a man, at least this is what Alicia defines it as. Being
exposed to the horrors of the 24th ward has forced her to grow thick skin and a strong will. Don t even
think of trying to bait her psychologically, insults are nothing to her, shrugging them off as if they didn
t mean anything. Her unbroken and strong spirit will drive her forward even in the hardest of times.
Giving up is something she simply doesn t do, it s cowardly in her mind. Her personal thought is that
those who are cowardly are setting themselves up for failure. Alicia wasn t turned into a emotionless
brute though. Beyond her strength is a kind and understanding individual, willing to understand her
enemies rather then blatantly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Striving to be at the head of authority of anything yes she s the type that if given the chance would
rule the entire world. Not that she d ever believe it but, she could probably be convinced to destroy
humanity if it meant power. Consciously she may have her set of morals and personality but,
underneath that she s driven by ambition. It smolders within her waiting for the chance to take her to
new heights. This ambition is the strongest thing about her yet she ll never admit it believing herself to
be someone standing for justice. With quite a few hobbies Alicia never has a problem keeping herself
busy, most of the time. Alicia travels everywhere on her bike, if she s seen without it she s either doing
something or left it at her home. This also justifies her wearing a mask around Tokyo as she rides her
bike. When she isn t riding her bike she s studying plants a big hobby of hers even going as far as
basing her tattoo around plant symbolism. Music is one of her favourite things in this world enjoying a
nice relaxing time to just enjoy her music. Of course she can t play it herself as she has no time to

Do Nations Truly Last
Do Nations Truly Last
Do nations last forever? As Noah Feldman put it, Empires inevitably fall, and when they do, history
judges them for the legacies they leave behind. Many countries have shown this including Rome,
Ancient Greece and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The leaders and citizens of these
powerful nations all believed as if they were God among men and their country was the shining light
in a world full of darkness. As you know, they all eventually came to an end. No nation can last
forever, but it can leave a lasting impact on the world.
As we go through our lives, we learn by the experiences of ourselves and others. We might recall how
stupid and foolish our actions were and what we could have done better. Governing ... Show more

Somalia has neither law nor solid punishment system. Columbia has a weak centralized government
that fails to provide services that are considered essential .This does not look promising for people
hoping to buy land. Monopolies is another big factor. They put all the cash flow to one place and
discourage other companies for starting jobs, halting job and economic growth. Other economic
troubles include debt, which is destroying current Greece, and inflation, which is why people stopped
using Soviet money. Political struggle can destroy a country as well. The USSR fell when challenged
by NATO and the United States. Political struggle can also be internal. Civil war tore apart Sierra
Leone and is currently tearing apart Syria, Iran, and Iraq. Weak leadership has destroyed civilizations
from the beginning of time, for some odd reasons people thought being the son of a ruler makes them
qualified to rule.
It seems that when your country is on the brink of destruction, you would band together with your
political enemies. However, this doesn t seem to be the case for most empires. We can look to Rome
and Greece as examples of this. They were unable to unite and ultimately signed their own death
sentences. Again, it is impossible to say how current leaders would react and what decisions they
would make, but history tends to repeat

Induced Abortion In The United States
The world is full of controversial issues such as abortion, same sex marriage, terrorism, the death
penalty, global warming, legalizing marijuana, healthcare, plastic surgery, illiteracy, use of stem cells,
and much more. People will continue arguing about these topics. According to studies, it shows that
four out of ten American women s pregnancies are terminated by abortion (Induced Abortion in the
United States). Sondra Forsyth, a journalist, wrote stories about three teens that got pregnant and their
process of making the decision to have an abortion or not. These three young women had to make a
difficult decision about whether to get an abortion or to keep their baby. One woman decided to keep
her baby and the other two teens decided to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First, there is the medical abortion. Medical abortion, sometimes called Mifeprex™, RU 486, is a non
surgical abortion done using medication. There are two different methods of medical abortion
available: mifepristone followed by misoprostol and methotrexate followed by misoprostol.
Mifepristone is a pill that is swallowed by the patient. It interferes with a woman s ability to produce a
hormone called progesterone, which is needed for the fetus to grow. MTX or methotrexate is a drug or
injection that stops embryonic cell growth and stops from growing outside the uterus. Misoprostol is
either swallowed by the patient or placed in the vagina by the doctor. The second type of abortion is
surgical abortion, also known as vacuum aspiration. Surgical abortion is when a doctor removes a
fetus from the uterus. Ectopic pregnancy is an abnormal pregnancy that grows outside the uterus and
is often found in the fallopian tube, and it is very dangerous because it can harm a woman or threaten
her future fertility (Abortion: Which Method is Right for Me?).
In conclusion, abortion should not be legal, even though abortion may take a burden off the woman s
shoulders. Abortion should be illegal because it is the killing of an innocent human being. A baby
deserves the right to live. Not only does abortion destroy a human life, but it can also severely affect
the mother, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Life is sacred and not meant to be broken. It goes
against the sixth commandments, and the landmark case of Roe v. Wade. People should be more
responsible for their actions instead of choosing the easy way out of

  • 2. Summary Of The Novel The Bungalow Mystery The book The Bungalow Mystery is about a girl, Nancy Drew. Nancy is a detective and loves solving mysteries. One day, Nancy and her friend Helen are on a boat ride, and they come across a huge storm. Their boat sinks, and they almost drown when someone named Laura Pendleton comes and rescues them. She then explains that her mother just recently passed away, and she came here to meet her new guardians. Her mother had said that they were nice, but when Laura met them, they seemed awfully rude. She had mentioned that her mother had left her a large inheritance, but her guardians said that she was penniless. Something just seems off. Nancy s father, Carson Drew was in the middle of this case, and he needed Nancy to go to some peoples houses and judge if they robbed the bank. No one fits the description, but 2 people are on vacation, or so they thought. A couple of days later Laura runs away, and ends up at Nancy s house, and she said that she had over heard the Aborns saying that they were going to steal Laura s priceless jewelry collection! Nancy goes to their house on the lake, and sees Mr. Aborn going into the woods with a plate of food. Nancy follows him, and sees him go into a bungalow in the middle of the woods. She then runs off before he came back out. Then she went home and decided she would go back in the evening. Nancy told Hannah (her housekeeper) that she would be gone and to call the police if she did not return within a couple of hours. Nancy gets to their lake ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This is considered material when comparing to equity of $570million. Thus, it should be disclosed in annual report as required by AASB 1031. 2.2.3 Tax losses Directors believed that neither current tax liability nor a deferred tax liability was necessary as the company was making tax losses because of huge allowable deductions available for exploration and development costs. According to Leo, Hoggett, amp; Sweeting (2012), tax loss provides future deduction for the company, hence deductible temporary difference exists and deferred tax asset arises. In facts, Gravatt Ltd had an income tax expense of $24.3million instead of tax losses if it followed the accounting standard. This might be due to its taxable income was still more than tax deduction after considering the development costs. Therefore, argument of directors is invalid as according to AASB 112, tax loss arises when a company s tax deductions exceeds its taxable income. 2.3 Information utility to users of financial report of deferred tax liabilities AASB 112 provides disclosure requirement in relation to tax in general purpose of financial statement prepared for ... Stephen Dufrechou 12/03/13 Benefits of co sleeping with your infant for the first six months For as long as we can remember we are always told to never sleep with your baby that you could suffocate them by rolling over on them or what not. In a study by Davies, he found that prior to the 1700 s co sleeping was a normal thing around the world. It was not until the 1800 s when the western society moved away from co sleeping to an independent sleeping arrangement claiming the child will be too attached and have security problems; you will never get the child to sleep in their own bed; the child will not learn independence; or, the child could suffocate in various ways. In 1997, anthropologist James Mckenna and his colleagues conducted a study in a sleep laboratory at the University of California s Irvine School of Medicine. The study was to observed thirty five nursing mother infant pair sleeping together as well as apart for three consecutive nights. The infants were between eleven to fifteen weeks old. Twenty of the infants had been co sleeping since birth and the other fifteen had been independent sleepers. To observe they used many tools such as polygraph to record mother and infants heart rate, breathing rhythms, body temperature, the nursing cycles and even monitored their brain waves all of this along with watching their test subjects simultaneously on an infrared video monitor. What they found was quite unique, the infant and mother were highly responsive to each other and their movements. The infant and mother changed position of sleeping to face each other. • 19. Migrant Workers and Xenophobia In addition, the continued increase of the migrant workers in Singapore might lead to xenophobia in the country. According to Khan, Rola and Ruxandra migrant workers continue to suffer economic prejudice because government employment policies operate in favor of national workers (1). In Singapore, migrant workers make up a larger percentage of the population thereby leading to competition over employment with the natives. As such, the possibility of xenophobia prevailing in Singapore is high. This is because competition between natives and foreigners over meager economic resources has always led to xenophobia in many other countries. For example, xenophobia has been a problem in South Africa because the residents accuse African immigrants from the horn of Africa for stealing their jobs (Slier, para. 3). The xenophobia problems come from unemployed South Africans. Nonetheless, most of the immigrants struggle to earn a living in the same way the natives do but the natives view them as competitors. For instance, most successful immigrant groups are Somalis. The reason for the success of the Somalis is their entrepreneurial skills as well as their strong intra ethnic ties that resemble those of the Indians. Each slum has an isolated Somali neighborhood where most Somali refugees live and work (Abdi, para. 7). Nonetheless, most Somali refugees and immigrants face insecurity from the local vigilante groups and gangs because they view them as aliens. However, there has been ... • 20. A World Order By Jhumpa Lahiri Nair attempts to interpret and relocate the characters from their succinct semantic images on paper and re cast them as believable entities embodying social, economic and psychological baggage in an essentially postmodern world order. In Lahiri s novel, a world order presents itself where people like Ashoke and Ashima are subconsciously put on the fringes of the mainstream American society, in part by their attitude and approach to the new, almost alien societal and cultural experiences and circumstances and in part by the reaction to their reaction by the world around them. And this is essentially a conflicting world order where there is an intent to adapt to this bewildering newness around while there is equally strong a yearning for the familiar and much cherished roots. The two characters (Ashima more visibly so) are torn, as it were, between the two worlds, and struggling to conform to either! Into this palpable melee comes the son. The second generation of Indian immigrants and a first born American citizen of Bengali origin who is bestowed with a name borrowed from a Russian writer of repute, Gogol Ganguly endeavours to be efficaciously functional in a space that might be essentially regarded as an interstice or gap between the American public sphere as Nikhil, truncated or anglicised to the convenient Nick , and the Indian home sphere as Gogol, while trying to make peace or strike a middle path with his baffling name and social, national, cultural and ethnic ... • 21. The Mesopotamian Civilization For 7000 years the sweltering sand of the Iraqi desert has held remnants of one the earliest known civilization, the Mesopotamians. Since then, literary historians and scholars have uncovered myths revealing an unforeseen buried past. These hallowed accounts have become the center focus of explaining the early history of the Mesopotamian civilization, and the natural phenomenon s that have existed. In particular, the Babylonian epic of creation, Enuma Elish, which served the purpose of explaining the genesis of the universe and how people first came to inhabit it, reveals a parallelism with the Greek s Theogony. The conquest of Mesopotamia by the Greeks in the year 331 126 BC can be theorized as one of the potentiality for the Mesopotamian influence on the Greek s Theogony. The influence of the Mesopotamian tradition is seen in the Greek s account of the creation myth through parallel concepts. Although Enuma Elish and Theogony have a unique account of how the world began, and how people first came to inhabit it, they are both analogous in the sense that these creation myths are based on the foundation of: a successive motif whereby the newer gods overthrow the older, the rise of an ambitious hero, and an imperfect creation. In Theogony, and analogous to Enuma Elish, there exists a sequential motif whereby the newer gods overthrow the older. The rise of the hero Marduk became one of the most important conceptions in explaining the creation of the universe and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 23. Comparison Of Authority Figures In Romeo And Juliet And... Comparison of Authority Figures in Romeo and Juliet and Shakespeare in Love Stoppard s satirical movie, Shakespeare in Love, is a play on Shakespeare s tragic love story, Romeo and Juliet. Stoppard places Shakespeare himself into a relationship with Viola De Lesseps, that resembles the relationship between Romeo and Juliet. Stoppard incorporates countless parallels into the film from Shakespeare s love story, including the character development of major authority figures. The prince and the queen, Capulet and Viola s father, and the Friar and the Priest are all figures of authority and parallel between the two works; Stoppard gave his cast similarities to Shakespeare s characters, but they also varied in some aspects. Stoppard s decision to both keep some and change some character attributes of these authority figures helps contribute and develop the ending of the movie, just as Shakespeare s character developments contributed to the outcome of his plays. In Romeo and Juliet, the supreme authority is the Prince; he is the governing individual in Verona, Italy where the setting takes place, just as Queen Elizabeth is shown as the highest authority in England in Shakespeare in Love. One key difference between these leaders in the stories is that the Prince is mostly concerned with keeping the peace, while the Queen also appreciates and respects Viola s risk and is excited by Viola and her relationship with Shakespeare. The Queen is exhilarated by the whole ordeal. She ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is the part of personality which holds all of individual s ideals that are required from parents and society (individual s sense of right and wrong). The Super Ego provides guidance in creating judgments. Freud had stated that the Super Ego starts to appear at age five. There are two parts of the Super Ego: * The Ego Ideal this involves the rules and standards for good behaviour. These behaviours consist of those which are permitted by parental and other authority figures. Following these rules leads to feelings of pride, value and achievement * The Conscience consists of details about things that are thought of being bad by parents and society. These sorts of behaviours are regularly not allowed and lead to bad consequences, punishments or feelings of guilt and remorse. Without any willpower, I d never get anything done, and for that reason, I m glad to say that determination and strength are most important in my life. It serves a role in my current life, as well as it will in my future to enable me to be the best version of myself. Every day is a new struggle, passing tests, turning in homework, keeping my GPA from tanking, it s almost impossible for me to get through all of this without tenacity. When I m staying up until 2:00 a.m finishing loads of homework and projects, the one thing that keeps me from cuddling up in a warm blanket and passing out, is my determination to finish the work I ve been given. I was grief stricken, and the only thing that allowed me to keep my composure and not fall apart like a brittle vase was my hope that I d make it past this chapter of my life and move on to better things. How it began, what it is today and where it will be going in the future. This study will prove that e commerce has grown because it adds value to people s lives. It will show that e commerce will not disappear but evolve into something even greater than what it is right now. 2.7 Significance of solution to theory: The idea behind this study is of great significance because e commerce (online shopping) has grown tremendously since the turn of the century. It has shaped the way people do shopping for the most part. The availability of products that could only be bought at certain shops which may have been difficult to reach now sits at just the click of a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Controversy Of The Batgirl-41 Cover The Batgirl #41 cover has created a great deal of controversy with the Joker holding Batgirl against her will, causing DC comic to terminate the publication? Artist Rafael Albuquerque designed the cover as a tribute to Batman: The Killer Joke, written by Alan Moore. DC Comic s purpose was to issue the comic as a 75th anniversary celebration for collectors. The cover generated a large amount of controversy, with the illustration of the Joker painting a red clown smile face on a terrified Batgirl, while pointing a weapon downward in his other hand. As a result of the image, many people took to social media to voice their opinions on the violent and out of character representation for the upcoming release of the new Batgirl comic book. Historically, students with disabilities were segregated, or not allowed access to education at all, leading the passage of the Education of the Handicapped Act. Least restrictive environment (LRE) is the special education term which refers to the mandate; children with disabilities should be educated to the maximum extent appropriate with their peers who do not have disabilities. There is an inherent paradox with LRE, in that students have a right to be educated with their peers in the general classroom setting. However instances occur where the general education setting is not what is appropriate for the individual needs of the student. School administrators should be familiar with the concepts involved in providing a LRE for qualifying students. Leaders should pay particular attention to, first and foremost developing a plan which meets the individual needs of the student. The third instar larva has more distinct bands which is particularly on the abdomen. By contrast, Pilate had flown around the expectations for her to cling to strong male figures, and she had avoided the greed that many of her male neighbors displayed, but she had done so without causing harm to her loved ones. With reference to acid base balance explore the role of the respiratory system in maintaining blood pH? We live and die at the cellular level (Reid, 2011). Homeostasis is crucial for normal cellular function. Acid base homeostasis is the part of human homeostasis and refers to the balance between the production and elimination of H+ hydrogen ions (pH) within the body fluids (William, Simpkins, 2001, p.236). Metabolic reactions within the cells often produce a huge excess of H+. Lack of any mechanism for its excretion would lead H+ levels in body fluids rise quickly to the lethal levels (Tortora, Grabowski 2006, p.1001); therefore the homeostasis of the right H+ levels is ... • 43. Simple act of breathing also regulates blood s pH.. When the ventilation rate increases, more CO2 will be excreted, leading to decreased H+ concentration and raise in pH. Contrarily, when the ventilation rate decreases, less carbon dioxide will get excreted, leading to its accumulation, therefore increase in H+ and decrease in blood s pH (Tortora, Derrickson, 2009, p.1002). As we can see, lungs and brain control blood s pH minute by minute. When the respiratory system fails to control the pH of the blood through ventilation it can lead to respiratory acidosis or alkalosis. Respiratory acidosis is an excess of carbonic acid that is caused by conditions resulting in hypoventilation and CO2 retention. The major effect of acidosis ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This was because we only wanted to hear the good parts of middle school. When we came up with the topic for our documentary, we had to decide if it was going to be subjective or objective; we decided to choose objective. This is because we thought it would be easier to work with. The documentary is mainly objective with a little bit of subjective in it. In the documentary, we recorded it in a way so that we couldn t be seen. We said to everyone to wave and look at the camera so that they seemed happier. We did this to change the opinion of the person who is watching it so that they will think that this is how people act in middle middle school but in reality, this is not what happens. • 45. Kelly Outbreak Analysis The Kelly outbreak is a famous phenomenon in Australia s colonial history. Whilst some people prefer to see the outbreak as a simple criminal incident between an outlaw and the police, most historians view it as a broader sociological phenomenon, involving conflict between a larger rural community and the colonial authorities. An important issue for historians has been to understand the underlying causes of this criminal outbreak, whether it was mainly due to personal, ethnic or socio economic factors. This essay will critically examine each of these explanations and argue that the actions of the Kellys and their supporters, and the reactions of the police can best be understood in terms of broad socio economic developments in rural Victoria at the time. In his article, Ned Kelly s Sympathisers, Doug Morrissey suggests that Kelly s Irish heritage was largely responsible for the Kelly outbreak 1. To support his claim, he points to the intense emotional relationships in the Quinn/Kelly clan and the high percentage of Irish sympathisers among Ned s supporters 2. Ned Kelly was clearly imbued with a sense of his Irish heritage, but the evidence does not suggest that this was a major contributing factor in the outbreak. Public sympathy, it seemed, crossed social and ethnic barriers 3 and was quite widespread, especially after the Euroa National Bank robbery, where the efficiency, lack of violence and manner of the gang were well noted 4. • 47. Benefits Of Liberal Arts Education The way children are educated early on has a direct influence on their development. There are two primary forms of education that children are exposed to, the first being liberal arts. In a liberal arts education the primary subjects taught are, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and formal sciences. The goal of a liberal arts education is to prepare the student to deal with complexity, diversity, and change to assist in their adaption to the world later on. The second form of education is STEM, standing for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM education focuses more on the analytical side of the school system with not as much thought given to the social and artistic side as liberal arts does. STEM chooses to integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in a practical way with emphasis on real world application. The more beneficial of the two is liberal arts because it exposes students to a more diverse education, it is affordable, and it helps students gain an awareness of cultural diversity and varied perspectives. One of the advantages found through a liberal arts education is that it exposes students to more diverse way of learning. Liberal arts covers general areas of study which includes a variety of subjects such as, humanities, social sciences, creative arts, and sciences. There are two different methods of medical abortion available: mifepristone followed by misoprostol and methotrexate followed by misoprostol. Mifepristone is a pill that is swallowed by the patient. It interferes with a woman s ability to produce a hormone called progesterone, which is needed for the fetus to grow. MTX or methotrexate is a drug or injection that stops embryonic cell growth and stops from growing outside the uterus. Misoprostol is either swallowed by the patient or placed in the vagina by the doctor. The second type of abortion is surgical abortion, also known as vacuum aspiration.
