Blood Donation Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of blood donation may initially appear to be a straightforward
task, but as one delves into the intricacies of the subject, the complexity becomes evident. The
challenge lies not only in presenting the fundamental information about the importance of blood
donation but also in conveying it in a compelling and engaging manner.
To begin with, the writer must conduct thorough research to gather accurate and up-to-date
information on various aspects of blood donation, such as its significance in medical treatments,
the process involved, and the impact it has on both donors and recipients. The ability to sift
through a plethora of data and select the most relevant and impactful information is crucial.
Additionally, addressing potential counterarguments and providing a well-rounded view on the
topic adds an extra layer of complexity. This requires a nuanced understanding of the subject and
the ability to anticipate and counter opposing viewpoints effectively.
Moreover, the challenge lies in creating a narrative flow that captures the reader's attention from
the introduction to the conclusion. The essay should not only educate but also evoke emotions
and leave a lasting impression on the audience. Balancing factual information with a persuasive
tone is an art that requires careful consideration.
Furthermore, the writer must pay attention to the language and style of the essay. Achieving
clarity while maintaining a level of sophistication is essential. Avoiding jargon and ensuring that
the content is accessible to a wide range of readers is a delicate balancing act.
In conclusion, writing an essay on blood donation is not merely about compiling information; it
involves synthesizing complex concepts, presenting them cohesively, and delivering a persuasive
argument that resonates with the audience. It demands research skills, critical thinking, and the
ability to communicate effectively. While challenging, successfully navigating these complexities
results in a powerful essay that can make a meaningful impact on the reader.

What Is The Theme Of Prejudice In The Merchant Of
Venice
Prejudice is when one has a preconceived, negative opinion concerning an individual
or group of people who possess a collective trait. Discrimination is acting on those
prejudice opinions. In William Shakespeares, The Merchant of Venice, prejudice and
discrimination is expressed to and from several characters in the play, affecting their
motifs and actions, ultimately resulting in their downfall. Set during the Elizabethan
era in Venice and Belmont, a bond between a Jewish man and two Christian men is
created to win over Portia, the heiress of Belmont, which will be decided through a
casket lottery. In the beginning, Shylockis targeted with prejudice, despite anyone
knowing him beyond his job. In addition, Portia and Nerissa rebel against the social
normality of the time concerning gender to aid those who need it. Similarly, the
Prince of Morrocco is mocked for his skin tone, despite having done nothing but be
fair.
Shylock faces the prejudice and discrimination of the Venitiens at the cause of his
faith, influencing his actions and emotions to be hateful towards Antonio and
Bassanio as well as vengeful towards those who have forsaken him. Shylock is
portrayed as devilish according to myths surrounding his religion but remains silent
about the prejudice he has faced. When Salanio and Salerio discuss the tragedy
concerning Antonio s ships as well as Jessica s departure from her father, they
discover the reasoning behind Shylocks desire for the pound of flesh when

An Important Moment I could see the rain pouring down onto the track. It was the
fall of my fourth grade school year. I was at Goddard Middle School for my fourth
grade cross country meet. My fourth grade cross country race shaped me to be the
person I am today by showing me the feeling of winning and it taught me
sportsmanship. The rain, a monster, had been going on all day. People waited
patiently around the track to hear if the meet would be cancelled. The rain was
starting to form puddles of mud all over the wimpy track. The rain seemed like it
would never end.
Finally, the rain cleared and the meet was able to start. I was standing at the starting
line of the mile long course. All of the girls lined up around me finally made feel

Exhaustion was getting to me and made me want to give up. My legs felt like jelly,
and I did not think I could keep going. Hearing the crowd cheer gave me the courage
to finish the race. I could see someone getting really close behind me, so with all of
my strength left, I took off on a sprint.
As I sprinted, I pulled ahead of all of my competitors. I could see the finish line
getting close, and the cheering from the stands was louder than that at a football
game. The finish line, welcoming and grand, stood just a few hundred feet away.
Then, after what felt like a hundred years, I got to the finish line.
Happiness overcame me as I broke the finish line tape. I stopped for a moment to
enjoy my big win. The amazing feeling of winning filled me with pride. People were
crowding around me to say congratulations. That was the best moment of my life.
Cheering and yelling, I could hear my mom and little sister from the stands. Then,
the medals were given out. When I got my medal, I was so excited because of all
of the hard work I had put into that one race. After the medals were given out, my
little sister ran over to me and embraced me.
Good job! she congratulated me. Thank you! I m so glad that you came! I

Industrial And Technical Review For Hadoop
This chapter introduces an industrial and technical review for Hadoop framework
with other technologies used with Hadoop system to process bigdata. Hadoop project
originally was built and supervised by Apache community. In addition to Apache
many other companies whose businesses run on Hadoop are adding more interesting
features to Hadoop, some of them announced their own Hadoop distributions replying

Data Warehouse Systems DWHs are platforms used to report and analyse the data
by integrating data from different disparate sources and creating a central
repository of data data warehouse . This is achieved through storing the current
and the historic data to create reports for management or technical reporting based
on some pre defined configurations. Currently nearly every discussion recently of
big data analysis begins with a debate over what is the best way to perform the
analysis, whether the DWHs will be replaced by the new frameworks like Hadoop or
not. Some went very far thinking relational databases are going to
Zadar Research Paper
Zadar is a vibrant and unique city that combines medieval architecture from the
Roman occupation with a modern flair, attracting thousands of tourists every year. As
an important touristic city of Croatia, Zadar is also a connection point for tourists
that wish to visit this country and prefer to fly to Zadar Airport and then use other
means of transportation to their near destinations. While travelling to an unknown
city in a foreign country without a thorough research is almost madness, many
tourists arrange their transportation from the airport to their hotels or to the next
town from home or they at least save a couple of taxi numbers in their phones just

travelling abroad fearing they will get lost or get too delayed, but are these fears
relevant for Zadar as well?

What Role Did The Power Play In The Battle Of Hastings
William became Duke of Normandy at age eight when his father died; however,
people questioned his power of authority because his parents were not technically
married. This empowerment brought upon many issues early on. Nevertheless, the
battles started when William was agreed under the table to succeed as the next of
King of England. With no witnesses or documentation proving this agreement,
Harold Earl of Essex took reign after King Edward s death. This power move
infuriated William, which created tension and provoked William. In1066, William
and his troops set sail to invade England. William was not the only man promised to
succeed King Edward; therefore, King Harold had many people after him because he
was named the throne. Harald Hardrada, king... Show more content on

Norman knights fought on horseback. They wore chain mail and carried kite shaped

was the first of many battles for the William. In the famous Battle of Hastings both
Harold and his brother were killed; therefore, William the crowned himself king. His
conquest of power did not stop there. William marched into several other countries
including Scotland and France with intentions to win authority. He continued
conquering lands surrounding England and distributed a portion to Norman
followers. This was when William developed the feudal system, which gave Barons
authority under the King s rule. The Baron s then split their land up giving sections
to Knights who rented their land out to serfs. This idea of feudal allowed William to
have control over these manors. The Barons and Knights were indebted to the King
for their military services. The serfs were required to

Energy Vs. Beauty in Coal Mining Essay
Every day in the United States people turn on a light, use the oven, and watch
television. The energy needed to do these trivial everyday tasks is often taken for
granted, yet it is greatly required at all times. A small percentage of this energy is
provided by the burning of coal to produce power. The removal of coalfor energy has
been a long thought out process since the early 1960 s (Holzman). The removal of
coal up until around the 1990 s was all done underground, removing the coal by
using pick axes, mules, and rail cars. During the early and late 1990 s, the extraction
of coal was modernized to mountain top removal (Holzman). Mountain top removal
is the process of blasting the top of a mountain away to retrieve coal from inside the...

Mountain top removal often occurs in states such as West Virginia, Kentucky,
Tennessee, and Virginia. These states are rich in coal deposits and have many areas
where mining may occur. Quite often, coal companies use huge deposits of coal to
make money, but mining these areas have been damaging to the Appalachian region
for decades. Environmental issues have become apparent with massive flooding, rock
slides, water contamination, and sludge impoundment (Community). All of these
have become major issues within communities among the eastern region, because
they may cause a community or environment to lose its significance.
Flooding is caused by the removal of trees and vegetation of an area on a steep
grade mountain. Hence, when this particular area has rainfall, the water has
nowhere to go, thus causing a flash flood. Blasting of a mountain can also cause
rock falls to occur. Many strip mining sites are located near a town or neighborhood,
often endangering residents or homes to be struck by boulders or large amounts of
fly rock. Injuries can also be an issue with fly rock. Boulders have been known to
come crashing into houses and causing serious injury and even death. These massive
boulders are pieces that have been blown off by the blasting at the tops of the
mountain. Water contamination takes place around mountain top removal sites and
causes runoff that feeds

Disadvantages In my life, disadvantages have been a setback in my path to success.
My advantages have not always overruled them. The worst part of my disadvantages
is that I have no control over them. As I continue to live life, I struggle to overcome
my disadvantages and to shine bright. My biggest disadvantage would be my race.
Being an African American in the United States has always been seen as a negative.
From the moment my ancestors were brought to the United States, they were forced
to adjust to European customs. They were slaves, forced to do labor and were
considered property of the white man. Although slavery was abolished, discrimination
occurred. Many African American activist fought and died for African Americans
rights. There would only be nuance, but today things are going downhill again.
Today, the stereotypes of African Americans are put upon me. I am often judged
due to my race. I have been treated intellectually inferior multiple times. People
often assume me to be living in poverty and fatherless. Sometimes, people are
suspicious of me due to media and newscasts displaying African Americans as
criminals and dangerous. Due to my color, people even believe silly things like me
having a love for watermelon, grape soda and fried chicken.
Although, none of those things are true about me. As I mentioned, I have a strong
sense of analytical intelligence. I also have an active father in my life who goes

Introduction
The 2006 Census Public Use Microdata File (PUMF) involved a total of 844,476
people. Participants were randomly selected in a manner that represented all social
characteristics that existed among Canadians. Technically, it was estimated that the
number represented only 2.7% of the Canadian population. It is also on record that the
2006 PUMF involved a total of 123 population variables, of which 83% (102)
represented individual variables, while the remaining 17% (21) of all variables used
represented family, dwelling, and household variables. The purpose of this research
is to determine how the cost of shelters and age distribution affects the Aboriginal
people of Canada in relation to the 2006 Census Public Use Microdata File (PUMF)
on individuals. The research employs both age distribution and shelter cost as major
variables affecting the Aboriginal population. The research will conduct an inferential
statistical analysis on three major variables: Aboriginal population, shelter cost, and
age. For the purpose of this research, both age and shelter costs will be employed as
independent variables relating to the overall Aboriginal population, which is the
dependent variable. Another question that the paper aims to research is whether there
exists a relationship

Analysis Of Heidegger s Building Dwelling Thinking
After the destruction in Germany due to the World War 2, the struggle for survival
and inhabitation had been the most and immediate business for the people. The war
caused the destruction of near one fifth of the German houses between 1939 and
1945. In West Germany, there were required almost two and a half million houses for
the refugees and another million for younger families. It was where the German
philosopher Martin Heidegger s Freiburg and Black forest were located. People
shared accommodation there till they could find their own. Then arose the question
of termed as Wohnungsfrage that means Dwelling Question due to this housing crisis.
In its response Heidegger wrote his famous Building Dwelling Thinking .

In his essay, Heidegger discusses the type of dwelling which is poetic in a sense. He
then questions further that are the dwellings poetic in a true sense if yes then are
other dwellings incompatible with the poetic ones? He further questions about the
coexistence of the man s social and historical life. For Heidegger, poetry is the things
that let the man dwell and dwelling is through building. He believes that art of
building is very much similar to the art of poetry. The way the verses in a poem
depict a simple fact in a really creative way is same as that of the technique of
constructing a building and then making the building alive by dwelling in that
particular building. This philosophy of Heidegger is reflected in his architectural
design sense that he connects the building styles with human life. This poem tends to
remove the misconceptions that poems snatch away the realities of this world or
poetry is mere fantasy but it s not like that. Actually, poetry brings fantasy to life.

different contrasting things as

Hardware Access Point with Internet
Wireless connected computers using a Hardware Access Point for shared Internet

If I have more than one hardware access point, how can I share a single Internet

If an existing wired LAN already has an Internet connection, then the hardware access
points simply connect to your LAN and allow wireless computers to access the
existing Internet connection in the same way as wired LAN computers.
IEEE 802.11:
Wireless networking hardware requires the use of underlying technology that deals

A wireless computer can roam from one access point to another, with the software

strength from in range access points and locking on to the one with the best quality.
Usually this is completely transparent to the user; they are not aware that a different
access point is being used from area to area. Some access point configurations require
security authentication when swapping access points, usually in the form of a
password dialog box.
Access points are required to have overlapping wireless areas to

and beautiful. She rarely looks older than 25, has a flawless body, and her hair and

women, and women judge themselves, against this standard. It is forgotten that
beauty pornography , as Wolf says, focuses on underweight models that are usually
15 to 20 years old. Flaws, wrinkles and other problems are airbrushed out of the

Truck Drivers Thesis
My research paper is on Truck drivers around the world and exactly what their job
is and what they do. I ve chosen this career because it s something that runs in the
family and I feel connected with it. My grandpa, step dad, uncle, and brother have
gone into some type of truck driving career. This is my thesis statement, You don t
have to make money to necessarily be happy. Truckdrivers don t get paid a whole lot
but it s enough and you get to basically travel the countryside. Truck Drivers usually
go long distances to transport loads where they need to go. Truck drivertypically get
up and start running their routes at the crack of dawn. Truckers are required to
check over their rigs for inspection purposes and follow all laws of the road. They
usually work long hours on the road, it helps to keep the truck and everything else

The requirements for a starting out truck driving job is that you have your CDL
for you to be able to drive a rig. For people to get their CDL, they need to take a
CDL course that allows you to learn about truck driving and take a written test. If
you pass the test, you move on to the next test which is you driving a semi rig and
moving around obstacles in order to get your licenses. I have researched Fox
Valley Technical College and the tuition of the course is $1,200 including books.
For the tuition be so low, you are not eligible to receive financial aid going through
this course. This course outline last for 3 4 weeks. (CDL Straight Truck). The
second school that I did research on is North Central Tech College. They offer a

is not eligible for financial aid ( Truck Driving.
The World Of Sports Arenas
Introduction
In the world of sports arenas there is one that stands as a pivotal high point above
almost all other stadiums. The University of Southern California s mammoth of a
stadium, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is one of the biggest sports stadiums
in college football, and has been a standard by which others are judge. Being declared
a land mark by the state of California after nearly 80 years of use, this structure has
had many different uses other than its current purpose of housing one of the most
dominate teams in college football, the Trojans. Since its opening day the stadium has
set world record in attendance and then beaten the same records hosting some of the
most famous people in the world. (Coliseum History) Throughout the 92 years of the
stadiums existences many changes have taken place and the facility has had to adapt
to the new century. Advances in construction and design have allowed the Trojans to
stay current and competitive with the new stadiums. One thing remains, and that is
the fact that USC Trojan fans love the unique feel and history that has been made
throughout the walls of the stadium.
History of facility Erected in 1923 the Trojans did not waste time until the first
footballs game was played. On October 6th the team faced off against Pomona
College finding their first home victory in the new stadium. In the first opening
game the Trojans played in front of a 12,836 people which was a relatively small
number of people considering they
The Film American History X
The film American History X begins with an average American middle class
family; four well behaved children and two all American parents living in Long
Beach, California. The father is killed in a shooting, leaving his eldest son, Derek,
the head of the household. Derek becomes enveloped in Neo Nazi culture from the
end of his adolescent years into early adulthood, and he becomes the leader of a gang.
At this point, his younger brother, Danny, is an adolescent and begins mimicking
his older brother s behavior. But the turning point of the movie is when Derek is
convicted for murdering a black man and serves three years in prison. This film is
primarily an example of moral growth, ontological shock, and choosing what kind of
influence one wants to project onto others. Derek realizes that he is going to be held
accountable for all of the viewpoints he has endorsed to others, that with drastic
actions come drastic consequences, and that autonomy is a powerful force when
fueled with willpower. The importance of social influence is a strong theme to
American History X, which is why I think Lev Vygostky s socio cultural theories
surrounding cognitive development can explain the film s meaning well. According
to Vygotsky, the interactions a person has between the environment and other human
beings determines the learning that takes place. The type of environment that a child
grows up in also greatly affects a person throughout life, as well. Vygostky also
believed that tutors
Mcdonaldization Society
McDonaldization and the modern society.
McDonaldization is a terminology created by George Ritzier a sociologist in the book
The McDonaldization of Society (1993). Ritzier explains on how the modern society
is adopting the physiognomies of the fast food industry. McDonaldization is a
reconceptualization of rationalization, or moving from traditional to rational modes
of thought, and scientific management. McDonaldization has become a way life and
it s affecting society in all aspects of life and not only the food industry, from Health
care, education, and the workplace. The reason for this is because society is moving
at a faster and a moderate pace.
McDonaldization has become the new face of employment, with this phase
employees are being deskilled, dehumanized and exploited. Computerized system
such as self service aisle is being used to replace employees. Due to
McDonaldization customers are used to do the job of employee s example is
cleaning up after eating in a restaurant, another is pumping your gas at the gas
station. As time goes by, more and more jobs are becoming less interactive because
McDonaldization is wiping away human customer service due pace the present
generation is moving. Ritzier stated in his book the kind of principles used to run this
kind of employments is efficiency, uniformity, predictability and control. The above
mentioned principles have been used ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These changes reflect on the daily lives of everyone in the society. Most consumers
choose quantity over quality and prefer the bigger, less time consuming product they
can get for the worth of their dollar. Another is the creation of jobs through franchise
nationwide; Job created through the model of McDonaldization does not need
complex skill, experience, or any form of higher education requirements. The
downside of these jobs is that employee earns very low income since it s less
stressful and demands just a little

Similarities Between The Snake And Delia
The parallel that exists between the snake and Sykes that emphasizes the opposing
moral principles of Sykes and Delia is demonstrated in their respective invocations
of God. Provoked at Delia s washing white peoples clothes, Sykes lashes out against
her, displaying a contemptuous disregard for her labor. Instead of invoking his faith
to resist enmity, Sykes exploits it to condemn Delia: Yeah, you just come from de
church house on a Sunday night, but heah you is gone to work on them clothes (2).
He labels her a hypocrite, an amen corner Christian who worships at church, only to
come home and work on the Sabbath (2). He declares he had promised Godhe would
not have her washing white peoples clothing in his house, threatening her with
physical abuse should she defy him (2). Thus, he manipulates religionto justify his
acrimony and to validate the venom that he spews. In contrast, Delia uses her faith
to deny Sykes provocations: Ah aint for no fuss t night Sykes. Ah just come from
taking sacrament at the church house (1). It is Sunday, a holy day for Delia in
which she furnishes her soul with relief, and she will not let Sykes taint it with his
malice. The moral superiority of Delia is represented in her soaking laundry
deliberately on Sunday evenings. Delia preps for the week ahead of her by soaking
the white things in a tub (1). White is symbolic of purity in the Bible, and Hurston
references it here to reflect Delia s character. As a wash woman, her job is to
Analysis Of The Letter K S
Character comes from overcoming adversity in life; without hardship there can be
no growth. The way a conflict is handled defines who each person is and what
matters to her the most. My personal disaster came on August 29, 2005 in the form
of a hurricane deadly, surging, ravenous. Hurricane season kicked off the same for
me as it had every year, a lot of false alarms and small storms struck in my area just
outside of New Orleans. Occasionally there would be a storm threatening enough
for my family to evacuate north into the heart of Cajun country, where my sister
and I would spend a good portion of our three hour drive crudely laughing at jokes
of which buildings would still be standing on our way back. We were young and had

The Louisiana sun sizzled upon the black bed like the devil s smile. Two of the labs
had been used to the heat. Not Fudge. Halfway through our trip, nearing Opelousas
in the heavy traffic, Fudge was no longer visible in the truck. Fear began to set in.
We pulled over and saw her limp, unresponsive body sprawled out in agony,
collapsed from heat stroke. We sped off in the opposite direction to find her water
and a vet. Time seemed to speed by and drag on as the search for any open
veterinarian office nearby who could take Fudge for the day continued until our
prayers were answered twenty miles away in the town of Eunice. There was
nothing left for us to do but continue on to my great grandfather s packed house in
Mamou, Louisiana. No one slept that night. Between the news reports urging New

In order to yield more of the ОІ glucose pentaacetate, the precursor: ОІ glucose must
be present as much within the mixture in which the sodium acetate comes in to
play, Sodium acetate will allow the rotation of the hydroxyl of the anomeric carbon
to its equatorial position whereas a strong acid will do the reverse process: Reverse
to it axial position. Based on the study by Perles et al. 2008, the equatorial structure
of ОІ glucose pentaacetate and it respective interactions with a polar solvent such as
water used in this experiment provided more stability and when glucose pentaacetate
recrystallizes, a larger amount of ОІis shown to be a perfect fit in the three
dimensional structure clusters within water. The О± glucose doesn t as it is more
sterically hindered and disturbs the three dimensional arrangement of water which is
the less stable in an aqueous solution. The studies also find that at higher
temperatures, there is a shift of ratio between О±: ОІwhich at T= 293.2 K, the ratio is
at 32:68. This changed of ratio affected by temperatures support the study by Bonner

Political Communication
Politics and the media have long been intimately involved with each other, with
media strongly setting an agenda in which politics is very important. (Harris
1999,p.167) Our perceived reality of the real world is largely a product of the
media. (Harris 1999,p.186) It is not known which influences more but there are
definitely two sides to the story. Many studies have been done to decide but each
comes out with different answers. Many say that the media has more of an impact on
politics than does politics on the media. The two have always been natural
adversaries. Skewering each other in print and in conversation, but generally enjoying
each other s company. (Forum)

There is still argument for both sides but leaning more towards the media.
Presidential elections, campaigns, and policies have always been important in the
media and to the public. The media creates a political world that is the basis of the
public s knowledge and the later behavior, such as voting for the president or any
public official. The themes and issues that are repeated in the media become
important to viewers. Those that are highlighted become especially influential
when it comes to choosing a candidate. The media affects evaluations of presidents.
Presidential approval is strongly influenced by how the media portrays the
candidate to the public. For example, during the Gulf War, George Bush received
bad publicity based on his performance with the war even though his prior
economic performance was exceptional. (Edwards 1999, p329) The values in which
people used to evaluate him on were influenced by what the media had to say.
Particular televised political advertising, televised candidate events. And news
articles also affect the preferences and opinions of the voters. For example, Bob Dole
in the 1996 election. His age arose early from the media. During the primary
election, over 800 news stories dealt with Dole s

The first benefit is centered on the need for visual communication. Before
electronic television there was mainly radio or telegraph communication, which
required a plethora of description. Also it also causes deception between the

listeners that aliens had invaded the world but it was actually a Halloween joke.
While electric television was visually see an event unfold in real time. Another
benefit is the vast opportunities for marketing. Electronic television has presents
itself as an effective tool to demonstrate products. These demonstrations are placed
at a certain moments on a program to ensure that people will see these products,
but visually seeing a product led the masses to desire the product more. Also it
allows a wider range of people to be aware that the product exists. Lastly, going out
to the theaters to see a play had become a novelty of the past with the creation of the
electronic television. Plays or show were recorded to entertain the masses who owned
electronic television. No longer hand they the need to venture out of their home for
entertainment. Thus, the benefit of electronic television mainly lay with the ability

Information from the outside world comes through our senses. The information is
then interpreted, and this interpretation gives meaning to what is sensed. For
example, when you hear your alarm clock, the actual sound you hear is the
sensation. How you construe the meaning of the alarm is your interpretation. If it is
7 a.m. on a weekday, you would probably interpret the alarm as a signal to get

Impact Of The French Revolution On The 19th Century
Europe
The period 1815 1914 in Europe was important, as it was the time of the growth of
constitutional government, however events from the French Revolution had a
significant impact on the 19th century Europe. French revolutions has began when
in 1774 Louise XVI had to deal with a financial crisis cause by seven year s war .
Louise XVI had agreed to summon Estate General , which represented the clergy,
nobles and the Third Estate(the commoners). Inspired by the issues with the voting
system of the estate general, the third assembly has called themselves National
Assembly, and threatened to proceed without the clergy and nobles if necessary. On
9 of July 1789 under king s agreement clergy and nobles has joined the assembly,
which was officially called National Constituent Assembly. On the 4 of august 1789
the assembly issued a Declaration of the Rights of Man , which stated that the nation,
not the monarchy, was the superior authority, and that the elected representatives of
the state would proclaim liberty and equality for the citizens, the right to property
and to resit oppression. In respond to peasant riots and attacks on chateaux, the
assembly abolished feudalism. By the 1792 both radicals, full of hope to spread the
ideas of the Revolution, and the king, optimistic that war would either improve his
authority or support from foreign armies. As both agreed in April 20, 1792 France
proclaimed a war against Austria. Louise XVI hoped that the war would strengthen his

Everyone has a biological family, but sometimes people give up their children or
when children grow up they sometimes decide to leave this biological family. But,
this does not mean that these children have given up a family forever. According to
dictionary.com, a family is a group consisting of parents and children living together
in a household . This definition generates the idea that familydoes not have to be
biological. In The Bean Trees, Kingsolver uses the intimacy between the character to
suggest the idea that non biological families can be as strong or even stronger than
biological ones.

Information technology and IT innovations in banking sector Information Technology
(IT) is the automation of processes, controls, and information production using
computers, telecommunications, software and ancillary equipment such as
automated teller machine and debit cards (Khalifa 2000, Agboola, 2004). It is a term
that generally covers the harnessing of electronic technology for the information
needs of a business at all levels. Innovations in information processing,
telecommunications, and related technologies known collectively as information
technology (IT) are often credited with helping fuel strong growth in the many
economies (Coombs et al, 1987). IT is defined as the modern handling of information
by electronic means, which involves its access, storage, processing, transportation or
transfer and delivery (Ige, 1995). According to Alu (2002), IT affects financial
institutions by easing enquiry, saving time, and improving service delivery. In recent
decades, investment in IT by commercial banks has served to streamline operations,
improve competitiveness, and increase the variety and quality of services provided.
According to Yasuharu (2003), implementation of information technology and
communication networking has brought revolution in the functioning of the banks
and the financial institutions. It is argued that dramatic structural changes are in store
for financial services industry as a result of the Internet revolution; others see a

I would like to share with you what I, at this point in my life, believe what being a
Christian is all about. These beliefs may develop over time as I become closer with
christ but at this time, this is what I think being a Christian is all about. I believe
God the father created the earth and everything on it for us to live. Godthe son, Jesus
Christ, was sent to earth and made the ultimate sacrifice to forgive us of all sins.
And finally, God the Holy Spirit, will always be with us whether we feel him or
not. He is here to watch over his children. To me personally, it is important that
Jesus Christ died on the cross to forgive us for our sins, not so that it is ok to sin,

Personally, I felt closest to God during church camp at Imago Dei because just

One part of confirmation I will always remember are the youth events, it was cool
going out into the community and helping through the church. I was connecting
what I was doing to what I was learning about being a Christian. Another part of
confirmation I will always remember will be my teachers. Confirmation teachers
have always told us stories about events in their life and how it impacted them as
Christians, and it made me think more about my life. These stories made me
remember how every event that happens has a connection to Christ. Finally, youth
group conventions at the hotel in downtown Neenah were always a fun way to
connect to Christ and meet new people. I would like to leave you with a bible verse

sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis is more likely to affect certain organs in certain populations.
For example, sarcoidosis of the heart and eyes appear to be most common in Japan.
People from Northern Europe, most often, have painful skin lumps on the legs.
Treatment
Sarcoidosis symptoms will often get better on their own slowly without treatment.
But in those cases that do need treatment, it is treated aggressively. Sarcoidosis
cannot be cured, so the treatments are just to control symptoms or improve the
function of the affected organ. There are several medications used to treat
sarcoidosis. Some of these are anti inflammatory drugs, anti rejection drugs or anti
malarial drugs (Table 2). These drugs can be used one at a time or together
depending on the severity of the disease. Organ transplant may be considered if the
disease has severely damaged the lungs or the liver.
Prevention
With the cause of sarcoidosis unknown, belief of infections and exposure to
chemicals may bring on the disease.

I. Background information on industry and workers
A. Between the period of 1865 1900, industry exploded in growth
B. There were many contributors that included government action, labor unions,
immigration, and technological changes.
1. Government action tried to help the workers by decreasing corporations control
over employees
2. Labor unions tried to increase benefits and make working easier
3. Immigration helped by having a cheap, abundant labor source for businesses to use
4. Technological changes both helped and hurt workers by making it easier to work
but making it harder by causing a need for skilled labor.
C. All of these affected workers, but in some more than others, however, labor unions
and technological changes had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
B. Inventions like the Bessemer process, railroads, and the production plant all
affected jobs and the economy.
C. The Bessemer process allowed steel to be created at a much faster rate.
1. This called for more workers in order to maximize production
(a) Most workers were immigrants that worked two 12 hour shifts, seven days a week.
2. The Bessemer process greatly affected the worker by providing more jobs, but at
a lower wage, lower benefits, and higher hours, a negative effect.
D. In the 1860 s, the government finally commissioned the first transcontinental
railroad.
E. Then from the 1860 s to about 1893, four more transcontinental railroads were
created.
1. These transcontinental railroads stimulated industry greatly, creating more jobs in
both industry and working on the rails.
F. The invention and development of the production plant affected the worker greatly.
1. There were now more jobs due to the openings in factories.
(a) Machines replaced skilled workers in factories
G. Technological changes often replaced workers, however, it often created more

Consumer-Brand Relationships
CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION
Background
In the present day, relationship marketing is a popular concept in marketing research
and practice (Wang and Head, 2005).
Morgan and Hunt (1994) define relationship marketing as all marketing activities
directed towards establishing, developing and maintaining relational exchanges.
The goal of relationship marketing is to increase customer loyalty. Research proves
the premise that loyal customers are actually more profitable. Loyal customers are
less costly to serve, are usually wiling to pay more for brand choices than non loyal
customers, and act as word of mouth marketers for the company (Reinartz and
Kumar, 2002).
It may not be wrong to say that customer loyalty could be achieved ... Show more

All the respondents have foreign brands as their preferred brands.
Nearly all of them have brand awareness since they can imagine and quickly recall
how their favorite perfume brand looks. They prefer it over other brands based on
some reason, for e.g. some respondents reported that they prefer their favorite brand
of perfume because of its unique fragrance.
Most of the respondents have very positive feelings about using their favorite perfume
brand and consider it a representation of their taste and personality.
A significant number of the respondents are interested in being informed about their
favorite brand and some are also willing to give feedback to the brand manufacturer,
regarding the product, which in turn shows a desire for communication.
Majority of the respondents claim that their favorite brand is their first choice
when they go for shopping. Some of the respondents are not ready to settle for any
other perfume brand in case of non availability of their favorite brand at a particular
store. They are ready to wait till it is available or try finding it at some other store.
However, some of them do not mind trying other brands in that case. Nonetheless, the
existence of a relationship is evident between product brands and
Supply Of Good Quality Electrical Power
The customer must be satisfied that a solution to his problem is found getting a
secure, safe and continuous supply of good quality electrical power. The main
concerns related to the supplied power were: that voltage levels were too low and
variations too high (i.e. not within В±5% tolerance), regular powerfailures, and phase
reversal issues on certain days. To address these concerns the initial plan was to
determine if the claims made by the customer were true and then find ways in which
to first address it without the least inconvenience to the customer. I sat down with
the Head of Network and Plant Performance and worked out that I needed to arrange
for: Voltage levels to be measured and adjusted it if possible (by adjusting tap
positions on transformers, switching in of Capacitor banks or voltage regulators),
remove unnecessary loading on supply feeders to the Taung Substation and
reconfigure the networkwhere possible to provide alternative paths for load to flow,
measure the three phase load balance and reconfigure connected loads to provide an
even spread of loads across the three phases. If these actions couldn t resolve the
problems then proceed with recruiting a team of subject matter experts to conduct
more detailed investigation to ascertain the physical condition of the Taung Village
11kV feeder, then verify and record what hardware was used in the construction of
the feeder and also the standard to which the structures were build and the hardware
used.
Clustering Methods
B. Descriptive techniques
Clustering It involves identifying clusters and grouping similar objects together in
each cluster. The main focus is on evaluating and implementing Partitioned (K means)
algorithms, other clustering methods include Hierarchical (CURE, BIRCH), Grid
based (STING, WaveCluster), Model based (Cobweb), and Density based
(DBSCAN). Author [31] presented work to enhance the performance of one of the
most well known pop ular clustering algorithms (K mean) to produce near optimal
decisions for telcoschurn prediction and retention problems. Due to its performance
in clustering massive data sets. The final clustering result of the k mean clustering
algorithm greatly depends upon the correctness of the initial centroids, ... Show more

Random k mean initialization generally leads k mean to converge to local minima i.e.
inacceptable clustering results are produced.
Summarization Summarization is abstraction of data. It is set of relevant task and
gives an overview of data. For example, long distance race can be summarized total
minutes, seconds and height.
Association Rule Association is the most popular data mining techniques and fined
most frequent item set. Association strives to discover patterns in data which are
based upon relationships between items in the same transaction. Because of its
nature, association is sometimes referred to as relation technique . This method of
data mining is utilized within the market based analysis in order to identify a set, or
sets of products that consumers often purchase at the same time
Sequence discovery Sequence discovery is the identification of associations over
times or pattern over time. Sequential pattern mining has become the challenging task
in data mining due to complexity. Most common tools are statistics and set theory
[32].
Visualization Visualization refers the presentation of data so that users can view
complex patterns. Visualization involves mapping of the data into some types of
drawing or graphical objects. The visualization also helps in acquiring knowledge
more comprehensively and most important, very quickly. Data can be presented in
visual form, such as curves, surfaces like graphs. Data
Bill Wisenski s Threaten
In a documentary film directed by Bill Wisenski, Threatened: The Controversial
Struggle of the Southern Sea Otter, it reveals some of the reasons why the California
sea otter population is declining. In addition, it shows the controversy surrounding the
No Otter Zone . Furthermore, it ensures why the California sea otterpopulation is
important to the marine ecosystem. In the film, sea otter populations are endangered
because of the significant impact by some human factors. In the 1700 s and 1800 s,
fur traders hunted sea otter population to near extinction. Besides this, threatened
events such as shipping and drilling oil across the Pacific and along coastal areas; the
California sea otters is vulnerable to oil contamination. As a result,
A Study Of Provincial Life By George Eliot
Introduction
Middlemarch, A Study of Provincial Life is a novel by English author George Eliot,
first published in eight installments during 1871. The novel is set in the fictitious
Midlands town of Middlemarch during 1829 32, and it comprises several distinct
stories and a large cast of characters. Significant themes include the status of women,
the nature of marriage, idealism, self interest, religion, hypocrisy, political reform, and
education
Middlemarch was written in the years leading up to 1832, during the Reform act,
this act was for the benefit of middle class people. Male defense of narrowing of
options was the female brain was not equal to the demands of commerce or the
professions, and women, simply by virtue of their sex, had no business mingling
with men in a man s world (Altick 54). Contrast with men without the added profit of
a formal education put conditions in front of many Victorian women to find the only
possibility available, marriage as a main occupation. Marriage is one of the important
themes in Middlemarch as most of the characters marry for love and yet marriage still
appears unpleasant and unromantic. Unlike other novels of that time, marriage is not
considered the fundamental source of happiness. An ill advised or not wise marriage
between two people who are inherently compatible never becomes completely tuneful.
Analysis
Marriage at a glance
Marriage is one of the major themes in Middlemarch as, according to critic Francis

West was born in Farmville, Va. He enjoyed learning how things worked when he
was young. West had became very interested in electricity after he had became
shocked when he was playing with his old radio.West had studied physics in the

The Skin I m in by Sharon G. Flake
The Skin I m In
Laurianna Atkins tripped over a stack of magazines in the middle of her room,
bumped her leg against the dresser, and dropped her books on the floor. Ouch my
leg! She howled, This room is a mess!
Lydia Atkins, Laurianna s mother, came out of the next bedroom, briskly blow
drying her hair. Stop whining baby and just straiten up things before you leave for
school. I would help but I m late for work.
I don t want to go to school today, Laurianna declared. She paused to see if her
mother would start up a speech or insist that she go. Laurianna was a freshman at
Versas High. Even though it was mid January, she was pretty nervous about
starting in the middle of the semester and being behind. Well that s no way to start
off your second semester in a new school her mother exclaimed. She could hear her
mother babbling about making new friends in the other room, but she was more
focused on what she was going to wear on her first day. She had always dressed
comfortably but still strived to keep up with the trends of her old classmates.
She first tried on a plain black skirt with ruffles at the bottom that fell to the middle
of her thigh. I wonder if wearing skirts are popular at this school? she mumbled
under her breath. She quickly changed into shorts that seemed to be so old that she
couldn t even remember when she d bought them. What if showing my legs are a bit
much for the first day, she mumbled again. I ll just play it safe by slipping on
Dynamic Characters Of Amari And Polly
Dynamic characters are characters whose personalities transform from the
beginning of the story to the end. The narrator in COPPER SUN makes a look of
dynamic change in the characters with Both Amari and Polly but, Amari had the
greater change. Amari doesn t start out strong. She is terrified, grief stricken, and
doesn t understand the language of her captors. She has no idea how strong she is
until she manages to endure and survive. Others who befriend her and help her are
vital to her success. She shows us that being a winner is a journey, a process, not
something that comes wrapped in a package. Polly doesn t starts out nice. she didn
t like the idea of being put on the same level of Amari, a black slave, and was very
snotty about it. She looked down on blacks and felt that they shouldn t have a place
in the world. She comes to like Amari and it showed when she was worried about
Myna when they were traveling to Fort Mose.
To begin, Amari doubts herself through most of the book, Amari gains strength
through her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the text it states, Freedom is a delicate idea, like a pretty leaf in the air: It s hard
to catch and may not be what you thought when you get it {213}. This explains
Polly s view on slavery. She believes that freedom may not be what they are
expecting, and that it will be extremely hard to become free. On the other hand,Amari
has the greater change than polly, by going from being terrified, and grief stricken to
being Strong, caring, and understanding. In the text it states, Freedom not big.
Freedom not pretty. But freedom sure do feel good. (284 ). This shows that Amari
was the main character who tried to help get Polly, Tidbit and herself free from
slavery. This quote shows that Amari had saved them from slavery and reached
freedom. This shows that Amari was dynamic change the book. Therefore, Amari
change is greater than polly
Sondra, By Margaret Atwood
In Atwood s depiction of Sondra, she draws a comparison between her and the
many rape victims that remain silent. Sondra is described in terms of how she
plays bridge. Sondra is not the world s best bridge player (Atwood 102). This gives
Sondra an insignificance to the narrator and the other characters. She is ignored and
made to seem silly even though she is the only one who actually knew what rapewas.
Sondra responds to the notion of rape fantasies by saying You mean, like some guy
jumping you in an alley or something, Sondra said (Atwood 102). This is dismissed
by the other characters because it doesn t fit into the setup Chrissy, the woman who
asked everyone what their fantasies were, established. Nancy Workman, an English

The realization that Estelle has been telling her fantasies to a stranger in a bar
creates an unexpected and unpredictable twist. Estelle tells the audience that she
frequents a bar and in doing this it s implied that she is talking to someone that
doesn t know her. Like here for instance, the waiters all know me and if anyone
bothers me ... (Atwood 110). Revealing this, Estelle makes herself even more
vulnerable than she already is. Estelle continues by saying, I don t know why I m
telling you all this, except I think it helps you get to know a person, especially at
first, hearing some of the things they think about (Atwood 110). Having Estelle
say this makes the irony all the more powerful especially since she said: ...or
someone you just met, who invites you up for a drink... (Atwood 110). Estelle is
telling all of this to someone she just met and in doing this she makes herself
vulnerable instead of making it so that she won t get raped. Estelle believes this
because she later says ...how could a fellow do that to a person he s just had a long
conversation with... (Atwood 110). Conversing with someone does not prevent rape
and Estelle knows this because ... the statistics in the magazine, well, most of them
anyway, they say it s often someone you do know (110). Estelle ignores the statistics
to make what she thinks become the truth. Estelle doesn t understand that she is
making herself vulnerable by talking to this stranger. Estelle is trying to make
herself appear strong and powerful, but talking to a stranger makes Estelle lose her
power. A further irony lies in Estelle s revelation, at the end of the story, that she has
fantasized these heuristic rape incidents in a bar, perhaps telling them to a new
acquaintance, a potential rapist (Jacobsen). This further shows Estelle s
Case Study Of Disneyland
I would like to choose Hong Kong Disneyland (Case 6 20) for conducting an
analysis. The Walt Disney Company was created in 1923. The mission of the
company is to provide superior entertainment experiences for the guests of all ages.
Walt Disney Company opened the two theme parks in United State. Afterwards, they
adopted the international expansion strategy which opened Disney in Tokyo and
Paris. However, the outcomes of theme parks in Tokyo and Paris were very extreme.
Tokyo Disney Resortwas one of the most successful theme park in the world. On the
Contrary, Disney Resort Paris was much less successful. The major reason causes this
extreme result was the cultural differences between two countries which I would
discover below.

At the beginnings, there were some startup problems encountered by them. The
first problem was about the miscalculation on the capacity limit of the park. The
capacity limit of park which HKDL estimated was 30,000 visitors per day. On the
first day of the operation, there were 29,000 guests entered the park. This caused
the average waiting time for the attractions more than two hours. And the average
queuing time of the restaurants was 45 minutes. HKDL has experienced the lesson
and decrease the capacity limit afterwards. On the other hand, they extend the park
s opening time by one hour and encourage weekdays visit by providing several
discounts to solve this problem. The second issue which HKDL had restricted the
police or the inspectors from hygiene department to get into the park. Unless there is
a pre arrangement with the park s security department. For examples, a guest and his
daughter were in the Main Street, U.S.A. and they were hurt by detritus. HKDL
refused to call ambulance as they would not like to damage the happiness or
fantasized image of the theme park. To solve this problem Disneyland appease the
guest and his daughter with a Winnie the Pooh ride with priority

  • 2. What Is The Theme Of Prejudice In The Merchant Of Venice Prejudice is when one has a preconceived, negative opinion concerning an individual or group of people who possess a collective trait. Discrimination is acting on those prejudice opinions. In William Shakespeares, The Merchant of Venice, prejudice and discrimination is expressed to and from several characters in the play, affecting their motifs and actions, ultimately resulting in their downfall. Set during the Elizabethan era in Venice and Belmont, a bond between a Jewish man and two Christian men is created to win over Portia, the heiress of Belmont, which will be decided through a casket lottery. In the beginning, Shylockis targeted with prejudice, despite anyone knowing him beyond his job. In addition, Portia and Nerissa rebel against the social normality of the time concerning gender to aid those who need it. Similarly, the Prince of Morrocco is mocked for his skin tone, despite having done nothing but be fair. Shylock faces the prejudice and discrimination of the Venitiens at the cause of his faith, influencing his actions and emotions to be hateful towards Antonio and Bassanio as well as vengeful towards those who have forsaken him. Shylock is portrayed as devilish according to myths surrounding his religion but remains silent about the prejudice he has faced. When Salanio and Salerio discuss the tragedy concerning Antonio s ships as well as Jessica s departure from her father, they discover the reasoning behind Shylocks desire for the pound of flesh when

I was at Goddard Middle School for my fourth grade cross country meet. My fourth grade cross country race shaped me to be the person I am today by showing me the feeling of winning and it taught me sportsmanship. The rain, a monster, had been going on all day. People waited patiently around the track to hear if the meet would be cancelled. The rain was starting to form puddles of mud all over the wimpy track. The rain seemed like it would never end. Finally, the rain cleared and the meet was able to start. I was standing at the starting line of the mile long course. All of the girls lined up around me finally made feel nervous ... Hearing the crowd cheer gave me the courage to finish the race. I could see someone getting really close behind me, so with all of my strength left, I took off on a sprint. As I sprinted, I pulled ahead of all of my competitors. I could see the finish line getting close, and the cheering from the stands was louder than that at a football game. The finish line, welcoming and grand, stood just a few hundred feet away. Then, after what felt like a hundred years, I got to the finish line. Happiness overcame me as I broke the finish line tape. I stopped for a moment to enjoy my big win. The amazing feeling of winning filled me with pride. People were crowding around me to say congratulations. That was the best moment of my life. Cheering and yelling, I could hear my mom and little sister from the stands. Then, the medals were given out. When I got my medal, I was so excited because of all of the hard work I had put into that one race. After the medals were given out, my little sister ran over to me and embraced me. Good job! she congratulated me. Thank you! I m so glad that you came! I

Environmental issues have become apparent with massive flooding, rock slides, water contamination, and sludge impoundment (Community). All of these have become major issues within communities among the eastern region, because they may cause a community or environment to lose its significance. He believes that art of building is very much similar to the art of poetry. The way the verses in a poem depict a simple fact in a really creative way is same as that of the technique of constructing a building and then making the building alive by dwelling in that particular building. This philosophy of Heidegger is reflected in his architectural design sense that he connects the building styles with human life. She is not human. She is often shown in pieces a stomach, a pair of legs, a beautifully made up eye or mouth. Our culture judges women, and women judge themselves, against this standard. It is forgotten that beauty pornography , as Wolf says, focuses on underweight models that are usually 15 to 20 years old. Flaws, wrinkles and other problems are airbrushed out of the picture. Wolf discusses the effect that these standards are having on women in the workplace. A woman s beauty, or lack of it, can be used against her. In 1986, Mechelle Vinson lost a sexual harassment case. Vinson was young and beautiful and carefully dressed. The district court ruled that her appearance counted against her. (Wolf 38) In Hopkins v. The Film American History X The film American History X begins with an average American middle class family; four well behaved children and two all American parents living in Long Beach, California. The father is killed in a shooting, leaving his eldest son, Derek, the head of the household. Derek becomes enveloped in Neo Nazi culture from the end of his adolescent years into early adulthood, and he becomes the leader of a gang. At this point, his younger brother, Danny, is an adolescent and begins mimicking his older brother s behavior. But the turning point of the movie is when Derek is convicted for murdering a black man and serves three years in prison. This film is primarily an example of moral growth, ontological shock, and choosing what kind of influence one wants to project onto others. Derek realizes that he is going to be held accountable for all of the viewpoints he has endorsed to others, that with drastic actions come drastic consequences, and that autonomy is a powerful force when fueled with willpower. The importance of social influence is a strong theme to American History X, which is why I think Lev Vygostky s socio cultural theories surrounding cognitive development can explain the film s meaning well. According to Vygotsky, the interactions a person has between the environment and other human beings determines the learning that takes place. To me personally, it is important that Jesus Christ died on the cross to forgive us for our sins, not so that it is ok to sin, but to forgive us when we do. One part of confirmation I will always remember are the youth events, it was cool going out into the community and helping through the church. I was connecting what I was doing to what I was learning about being a Christian. Another part of confirmation I will always remember will be my teachers. Confirmation teachers have always told us stories about events in their life and how it impacted them as Christians, and it made me think more about my life. These stories made me remember how every event that happens has a connection to Christ. Finally, youth group conventions at the hotel in downtown Neenah were always a fun way to connect to Christ and meet new people. It can occur in anybody organ, but mostly found in the lungs or lymph nodes. This disease can appear suddenly and disappear just as fast. It can also develop gradually and produce symptoms that come and go. No one yet, since it was first discovered over 100 years ago, knows what causes sarcoidosis. Treatment Sarcoidosis symptoms will often get better on their own slowly without treatment. But in those cases that do need treatment, it is treated aggressively. Sarcoidosis cannot be cured, so the treatments are just to control symptoms or improve the function of the affected organ. There are several medications used to treat sarcoidosis. Some of these are anti inflammatory drugs, anti rejection drugs or anti malarial drugs (Table 2). These drugs can be used one at a time or together depending on the severity of the disease. Organ transplant may be considered if the disease has severely damaged the lungs or the liver. Prevention With the cause of sarcoidosis unknown, belief of infections and exposure to chemicals may bring on the disease.

  • 41. Consumer-Brand Relationships CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION Background In the present day, relationship marketing is a popular concept in marketing research and practice (Wang and Head, 2005). Morgan and Hunt (1994) define relationship marketing as all marketing activities directed towards establishing, developing and maintaining relational exchanges. The goal of relationship marketing is to increase customer loyalty. Research proves the premise that loyal customers are actually more profitable. Loyal customers are less costly to serve, are usually wiling to pay more for brand choices than non loyal customers, and act as word of mouth marketers for the company (Reinartz and Kumar, 2002). Most of the respondents have very positive feelings about using their favorite perfume brand and consider it a representation of their taste and personality. A significant number of the respondents are interested in being informed about their favorite brand and some are also willing to give feedback to the brand manufacturer, regarding the product, which in turn shows a desire for communication. Majority of the respondents claim that their favorite brand is their first choice when they go for shopping. Some of the respondents are not ready to settle for any other perfume brand in case of non availability of their favorite brand at a particular store. They are ready to wait till it is available or try finding it at some other store. However, some of them do not mind trying other brands in that case. Nonetheless, the existence of a relationship is evident between product brands and

The main concerns related to the supplied power were: that voltage levels were too low and variations too high (i.e. not within В±5% tolerance), regular powerfailures, and phase reversal issues on certain days. To address these concerns the initial plan was to determine if the claims made by the customer were true and then find ways in which to first address it without the least inconvenience to the customer. I sat down with the Head of Network and Plant Performance and worked out that I needed to arrange for: Voltage levels to be measured and adjusted it if possible (by adjusting tap positions on transformers, switching in of Capacitor banks or voltage regulators), remove unnecessary loading on supply feeders to the Taung Substation and reconfigure the networkwhere possible to provide alternative paths for load to flow, measure the three phase load balance and reconfigure connected loads to provide an even spread of loads across the three phases. If these actions couldn t resolve the problems then proceed with recruiting a team of subject matter experts to conduct more detailed investigation to ascertain the physical condition of the Taung Village 11kV feeder, then verify and record what hardware was used in the construction of the feeder and also the standard to which the structures were build and the hardware used.

Association Rule Association is the most popular data mining techniques and fined most frequent item set. Association strives to discover patterns in data which are based upon relationships between items in the same transaction. Because of its nature, association is sometimes referred to as relation technique . This method of data mining is utilized within the market based analysis in order to identify a set, or sets of products that consumers often purchase at the same time Sequence discovery Sequence discovery is the identification of associations over times or pattern over time. Sequential pattern mining has become the challenging task in data mining due to complexity. Most common tools are statistics and set theory [32]. Visualization Visualization refers the presentation of data so that users can view complex patterns. Visualization involves mapping of the data into some types of drawing or graphical objects. The visualization also helps in acquiring knowledge more comprehensively and most important, very quickly. Data can be presented in visual form, such as curves, surfaces like graphs. Data

An ill advised or not wise marriage between two people who are inherently compatible never becomes completely tuneful. Stop whining baby and just straiten up things before you leave for school. I would help but I m late for work. I don t want to go to school today, Laurianna declared. She paused to see if her mother would start up a speech or insist that she go. Laurianna was a freshman at Versas High. Even though it was mid January, she was pretty nervous about starting in the middle of the semester and being behind. Well that s no way to start off your second semester in a new school her mother exclaimed. She could hear her mother babbling about making new friends in the other room, but she was more focused on what she was going to wear on her first day. She had always dressed comfortably but still strived to keep up with the trends of her old classmates. She first tried on a plain black skirt with ruffles at the bottom that fell to the middle of her thigh. I wonder if wearing skirts are popular at this school? she mumbled under her breath. She is ignored and made to seem silly even though she is the only one who actually knew what rapewas. Estelle continues by saying, I don t know why I m telling you all this, except I think it helps you get to know a person, especially at first, hearing some of the things they think about (Atwood 110). Having Estelle say this makes the irony all the more powerful especially since she said: ...or someone you just met, who invites you up for a drink... (Atwood 110). Estelle is telling all of this to someone she just met and in doing this she makes herself vulnerable instead of making it so that she won t get raped. Estelle believes this because she later says ...how could a fellow do that to a person he s just had a long conversation with... (Atwood 110). Conversing with someone does not prevent rape and Estelle knows this because ... the statistics in the magazine, well, most of them anyway, they say it s often someone you do know (110). Estelle ignores the statistics to make what she thinks become the truth. Estelle doesn t understand that she is making herself vulnerable by talking to this stranger. Estelle is trying to make herself appear strong and powerful, but talking to a stranger makes Estelle lose her power. A further irony lies in Estelle s revelation, at the end of the story, that she has fantasized these heuristic rape incidents in a bar, perhaps telling them to a new acquaintance, a potential rapist (Jacobsen). This further shows Estelle s
