EV-Werx Van pool EV Accelerator
Biz-Bikes
Our program was designed to bring environmentally
friendly transportation solutions to Fresno. We use
public transportation to maximize mobility in the
South West and Downtown Fresno communities.

4. WHY COMMUNITY
INVOLVEMENT
Deepening and expanding public engagement has
increased globally. The importance of community
engagement has become pivotal for well-functioning
community projects.
Community engagement is desirable, necessary, and
viable, as it is likely to lead to more equitable, sustainable
public decisions and improve the liveability of local
communities.
Community engagement is essential for individuals,
public organizations, and governments alike.

5. SERVICE AREA
SW & Downtown Fresno
Our program is in the community and
for the community.
We empower communities in
southwest and downtown Fresno that
have been disenfranchised by
historical redlining, the divide of HWY
99, and poor air quality from
industrialization.

OUR ENGAGEMENT
We started by gaining the community's trust and
insight. Our primary focus was to gauge ways
transportation could empower people.
It was also important to educate communities on
greenhouse gasses and ways to alleviate their air
quality.
We hosted and attended community events,
engaging with residents and gathering data on
where and how transportation systems should
work for them.

9. Map Data
A part of the survey data collection is
map data. We ask for input on where
community members frequent to
understand where they will benefit from
Hub stations.
Clusters have formed near schools,
government service buildings, and
entertainment.
