Determination of Saponification Number
Oil used were lauric oil, vegetable oil and lard. Each triacylglycerol was weighed to 1.0g. Each
were placed n separate round bottom flask.. 15mL of 5% alcoholic KOH was added into each
flask from a burette. KOH was used in order to hydrolyze the glyceryl esters to glycerol and the
potassium salts of fatty acids. Alcoholic KOH was used to allow oil be soluble in it. [1] Two to
three pieces of boiling chips were added so as to prevent formation of large bubbles [1]. It was
then subjected to reflux for an hour. After which, it was then cooled to room temperature. The
solution was then transferred into an Erlenmeyer flask. Small amounts of hexane were added to
rinse of remaining oil from the round bottom flask. It was then titrated with 0.5M HCl, using 1%
phenolphthalein as the indicator. Volume of KOH used was used to determine the saponification

number by using the eq. 2

This disorder is one of the most arguably common faced encounters clinicians deal with today.

Generalized anxiety disorder begins at the onset of a worry and or tension that carries on into more

Design arguments are weakest when asserting that the existence of God is attributable to
characteristics displayed by the universe. Aquinas concluded that objects without knowledge
cannot have goals unless a higher power is directing them (Davies 76). Davies uses an example of
acorns consistently growing into oak trees to support this statement (76). However, David Hume

Final Critique
The client that my group chose to work with was the College Republicans of Liberty University.
Since this semester was during presidential election cycle, the client was happy to have our
assistance with helping promote the club. During this semester, many challenges occurred that both
the club and our group faced; however, we were able to accomplish the goals that the client wanted
to accomplish from our project.
Goal and Organization at Initial Development of Project
At the beginning of the semester, our group spoke with the client to develop several goals that
they wanted our group to achieve throughout this semester. After speaking to the Vice Chairman
John Wood (2016), one of the main tasks that he wanted our group to assist the club with
accomplishing was to use the election to boost engagement within the club for both club meeting
attendance and also visibility on social media. Since the media was covering he election for a
large part of the day, Wood discussed the idea that since the media is covering the election for a
large part of the day, politics is on the mind of people more now than it would be during midterm
elections. By using the fact that the election is top of mind for many individuals at Liberty, the
club wanted to take advantage of this season and also gain members. The last goal that the club
wanted to accomplish was to increase voter registration and voter turnout on Election Day.
