Bioteknologi adalah usaha terpadu dari
beragai disiplin ilmu, seperti mikrobiologi,
genetika, biokimia, sitologi dan biologi
molekuler yang bertujuan untuk mengolah
bahan baku menggunakan
mikroorganisme sehingga didapatkan
barang dan jasa

Bioteknologi itu memanipulasi bahan
agar dapat produk/jasa yang baru

● Adanya pendayagunaan teknologi
dan industri

ekstraksi dan pemurnian
