Diversity Within The Workplace Within Australia
Diversity in organizations has become a huge interest within the workplace due to many factors such
as globalization, migration, innovation and most importantly because it is morally correct. Generally,
as businesses main goal is profit, and the workforce diversity management is such a pervasive
business practice (Bowes, L. 2013) they need to keep up with global markets. Diversity in Australia is
important, as it is one of the most culturally diverse in the world, with 27% of Australian population
being born outside of Australia, however the management of cultural diversity in Australia has only
been mediocre (Fenwick, M. 2011). With only few Australian firms [having] established diversity
management practices (McCarthy, G 2009) and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moral case focuses on pursuing greater ethnic diversity, and the fact that it is the right thing to do
(Green, A. 2012). The Business case however does not celebrate diversity in itself, but that diversity is
supported only if and as long as it drives competitive advantage and organizational profit (Dijk, H, J.
2011). This represents that employees are suggested to be resources or assets not because what they
represent but how they benefit the business, this also shedding light between the differences between
utilitarianism and deontological and their differences; as the Business case being quite insensitive to
deontological principles and beliefs. The benefits of having a diverse workplace are endless such as
improving morale and productivity, exploiting the creativity and innovation latent within the
organisation, as well as generating trust within service populations (Green, A. 2012) not to mention
keeping up with fast changing markets.
An Australian organization, which highly regards diversity management, is Woolworths Limited.

The Main Theme of Tennyson s The Charge of the Light...
The Main Theme of Tennyson s The Charge of the Light Brigade
From the first few lines of The Charge of the Light Brigade, Tennyson plunges you into the poem,
creating an awesome, in depth feeling of reality. His words are so powerful, that they make you feel as
if you are one of the Light Brigade. With this war language he uses he gives the reader a feeling of
heroism and bravery, an inexorable feeling.
Charge for the guns! Into the valley of death rode the six hundred. This illustrates the great irony or
war, as they are marching into the valley on a misinterpreted command. The actual command that was
given was to ret rite from the valley and not to go into it.
Forward the Light ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In verse three it exclaims that there was a;
Cannon to the right of them,
Cannon to the left of them
Cannon in front of them.
This is an audio image of bombardment, which almost allows you to hear the cannons being set off.
This draws the reader in, making them think as if they were there.
Into the jaws of Death, into the mouth of hell . In this line I have come across personification, as the
valley has been brought to life by being given human attributes. This highlights the horror, torture and
suffering the soldiers uncovered and shows the wicked darkness of war.
In verse four there is a dramatic pause, All the world wondered. This line suggests that the whole
world knew of their bravery and that they would be always remembered as heroes of their era.
Reeled from the sabre stroke, in this short line you can nearly hear the sabres slashing through the air
violently.
Shattered and sundered tells us that they were beaten, but beaten as warriors of war.
Then they rode back, but not, Not the six hundred . This statement is very emphatic and stark, which
makes the reader dwell on their unfortunate defeat.
In the next verse Tennyson uses repetition of the cannons this brings them to life and makes the reader
reflect back on the previous verse in which

The Leather Boot As Evidence Against God Erlang s Impostor
The supernatural element of the sorcery in the story of The Leather Boot as Evidence against the God
Erlang s Impostor makes the story more appealing to me. As a comparison, in the story The Fan Tower
Restaurant as Witness to the Love of Zhou Shengxian , the dream encounter for Second Brother Fan
of Zhou Shengxian after she was died is somehow less interesting. When reading the God Erlang s
story, after god Erlang first appeared in Lady Han s garden I thought it was just her imagination of the
god coming down to the man s world because her mind was full of the image of the god at that time.
As the second time god Erlang appeared again in Lady Han s garden, I started to guess if this was
someone s prank on Lady Han. The way god Erlang ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Having all these doubtful points in mind, I cannot stop myself from continue reading the story until I
encountered the part where god Erland asked Lady Han for the jade waistband. I happened to need a
jade waistband. Should you be willing to part with it, that ll be an act of charity and gain you merit in
heaven (Feng, 260). After I read this sentence, I was sure that god Erland was just an ordinary person
who was attracted by Lady Han s beauty and wealth. The question of the uncertainty of the
supernatural element urged me to continue and finish the story in order to find out the truth about who
god Erlang was and how can he disappear by the windowsill without a trace. The supernatural element
in the Fan story is less interesting to me. The only part that interested me in the Fan story is when Zhu
Zhen opened Zhou Shengxian s coffin and Zhou Shengxian came back to life and ask Zhu Zhen,
brother, who might you be? (Feng, 284). After I read this part of the story, I was really curious of how
can a died person woke up suddenly (she was died a year ago). Even though Shengxian explained later
in the story saying that she was fainted at that time and did not die, but still, how can she woke up a
year later and appeared in Second

Equal Employment Opportunity Complaint Essay
Equal Employment Opportunity Complaint
In order for John to file a discrimination complaint against his employer, he is required to file a charge
with the Equal Employment Opportunity Complaint counselor or representative of the company. Once
the charge has been filed, an investigation is made, or the charge maybe selected to an EEOC program
and maybe dismissed. In this case, John is given a certain number of days to file a lawsuit on his
behalf. This process would have to go through several lengthy stages such as the EEOC administrative
process. If gone to trial it must go through filing of a summons, response and answer, discovery

The defendant at this time must plead any affirmative defenses and show that they are not liable
because the affirmative defense rules out liability. The next step is the Discovery Process, which is the
formal fact finding stage of litigation. There are several different types of discovery processes:
interrogatories, depositions, request to produce documents, physical and mental examinations and
request for admissions. Both sides would then request additional information from the other party or
third parties to develop their case. In most cases if privileged information is gathered, the opposing
party does not have to produce this information. In addition to information gathered, the parties may
be able to determine their opponent s theories and strengths of their courtroom presentation. Based on
their discovery plan and requests. Once the discovery process is completed, the Enlisting of Experts
process is required. The plaintiff early in the pre trial process to determine whether he has a viable
claim must obtain this expert. The defendant will also obtain an expert to support the defendant s
theory of the case and refute the plaintiff s expert. After sufficient discovery has been made and
experts are in place, either party may move for summary judgment. If the material at hand shows that
there is no genuine issue as to a material fact, the court may rule and motion that there is no need for a
formal trial. When either party

Stonewall Jackson Essay
Stonewall Jackson, born January 21, 1824 was one of the most famous confederate generals and one
of the best officers to serve for General Robert E. Lee. But Jackson wasn t just born a general, he
earned it. Since his parents died when he was very young, life was very rough for him. He was raised
by his uncle, Cummins Jackson, a miller who lived near what is now known as Weston, West Virginia.
Later on, he was appointed to the U.S. Military Academy. He had to work several times harder than
the other cadets to learn the lessons in school because of poor education when he was young. But his
grades slowly increased until he graduated. He was said to have been in the upper third of his class.
His military career had just begun.

In 1850, after the Mexican war was over he went to Florida to fight the Seminole Indians. Jackson left
the army in 1850 and became a math professor at Virginia Military Institute where he taught for ten
years. He was not a very good teacher of math. Many students mocked him and made fun of how
religious he was. In 1853, he married Elinor Junkin, who died a year later. In 1857, he married Mary
Anna Morrison.
Jackson joined the Confederacy and soon made his reputation as Stonewall Jackson at the First Battle
of Bull Run, also called Manassas. When his men were retreating he stood still while enemy soldiers
were firing at him. His troops saw him and one of them shouted quot; There is Jackson standing like a
stonewall. quot; Only then did his men have the courage to fight on and eventually win. In 1862, in
the Shenandoah valley Jackson earned international fame by defeating 60,000 Union soldiers with
only 17,000 troops. After the campaign ended he went to help Robert E. Lee in Richmond. He and Lee
were very close to each other and knew each other like brothers. Other battles Jackson fought in were
The Seven Days Battles, Cedar Mountain, the Second Battle of Bull Run, Antietam, and
Fredericksburg.
Jackson fought his greatest battle in May 1863. He and his Second Corps struck the Union from
behind near Chancellorsville and defeated them. At nightfall is when tragedy struck.

Essay on The PATRIOT Act is Necessary, Lawful and Effective
Two thousand nine hundred people from fifty four countries were killed on September 11, 2001. In
response to this tragedy, the United States of America passed the USA PATRIOT Act, an acronym
standing for Uniting and strengthening America by providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept
and Obstruct Terrorism Act, on October 26, 2001. The act gives law enforcement agencies and the
Foreign Intelligence Agency the right to share information. It also allows these agencies to tap phones
and gather other forms of information using delayed notice warrants. Investigators are also allowed to
get hold of personal information, such as library records, under this act (Update). Although critics of
the PATRIOT act say that it violates privacy, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even when the Central Intelligence Agency, CIA, told the FBI that al Mihdhar and other Bin Laden
related individuals were in the United States, the FBI refused to open a criminal investigation because
at that time it was illegal to share information among the agencies. If this case had been opened, the
investigation of al Mihdhar could have given key evidence regarding the participants of the 9/11
attack beforehand, helping to prevent the attack (Kyl 140). The delayed notice and sneak and peek
warrants that the USA PATRIOT act allows are just as crucial as the information sharing between
intelligence and criminal investigators. As Attorney General Gonzales explains,
Winning the war on [terrorism] requires winning the war of information. [The United state is] dealing
with a very dangerous, very patient, very diabolical enemy who wants to [harm it], and in order to be
effective in dealing with this enemy, [the country needs] to have information. [The United States
needs] to know who the enemy is ...[,] what the enemy is thinking ...[, and] where the enemy is
thinking about striking [next].(Domestic)
The only way for investigators to acquire this sort of information is through delayed notice and sneak
and peak warrants. These types of search warrants allow investigators to conduct searches without
informing the subjects before the investigation. If investigators followed the previous protocol for
searches, they would not be able to gather

The Link Between Nazi Propaganda And The Holocaust Essay
Hitler believed that propaganda from the allies was the main reason that the Germans lost during
World War I and felt that this form of warfare needed to be a primary tool in modern warfare. He
spoke of this belief in his book Mein Kampf well before the start of the second World War. Hitler felt
that the public needed to be inundated with the ideology of the state at all times and through all
mediums (Jowett and O Donnell 2). To do this, he said everything from child s story book to the last
newspaper, every theater, every cinema and every advertisement must be brought into the service of
this single mission (qt. in Qualter ix). This onslaught of propaganda led to the Holocaust by leaving no
other option open to the German people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Nazi s did use propaganda in this negative sense but in an underhanded and subversive way. They
backed up all their false reports with scientific studies and claims of a better human race.
Propaganda is hard to define as most definitions do not cover the full meaning of the word. The
Webster s Illustrated Encyclopedic Dictionary defines propaganda as the systematic propagation or
discrediting of a given doctrine or cause by circulation of polemical material, such as posters and
leaflets (1353). However, this definition does not cover the full scope of the of the word. Terence
Qualter also feels the definition for propaganda needs to be more refined for its new usage. The
definition that he gives is the deliberate attempt...(to) form, control, or alter the attitudes of other
groups...(with) the use of the instruments of communication (27 28). He goes on to say that the
propaganda must be aimed at the group in general because that is the basic nature of the word, in that
the most effective propaganda is the propaganda which has a large audience. Qualter does mention,
however, that there need be no difference in the propaganda to persuade one and the propaganda to
persuade the many (28). Germany did this by controlling the flow of information into the country.

discussed is the belief that the damaging effects of these curriculum changes are affecting primarily
low income children in urban areas and that there is little potential for these children to get a well

be given further consideration, however, as a whole the article does not adequately assess both sides of
the story and thus was generally ineffective in the end. Tim Walker s article The Testing Obsession

devastating effects on elementary curriculum, but his analysis came across as too biased on the whole
to be considered a legitimate argument. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He states, high poverty schools across the nation have been forced to narrow the curriculum much
more drastically than wealthier schools with worse consequences for low income students. While their
more affluent peers may routinely visit museums or other cultural resources, many poor urban and
rural students rely on their teachers to expose them to the kind of background knowledge that is
essential to subject mastery. Based on that opinion, he goes on to state that ironically the social justice
intended by the No Child Left Behind Act has instead created further social injustice. Walker writes
that an additional inconvenient truth of all this is that the impacts are irreversible, While no one
discounts the very real problem of students who can t read or do basic math, defenders of the status
quo often claim that glossing over science, arts and social studies is merely a fleeting elementary
school experience later to be recouped in middle and later high school. Following this close he quotes
Richard Milner, a professor of education and director of urban education at the University of

Binge Eating Disorder Case Study Pooh
Pooh clearly has a problem. He is obsessed with honey and will do anything to acquire some. This is
problematic since it interferes with his daily life. This can be called abnormal behavior, a behavior or
even mental state that is different from what one can expect in a culture. Abnormal behavior usually
comes from a psychological disorder (or multiple) where thoughts, feelings, and/or actions are
distressful and dysfunctional. The symptoms of a psychological disorder have to interfere with one s
health and daily activities, which Pooh experiences. This means that he has had an eating disorder.

I used to be very skeptical about those who would say that they have a binge eating disorder and even
to those who were just big that said that they try to stop. I would see other people actually lose weight
and look slimmer and not understand that not everyone works that way. I learned that everyone is
different and that people eat different things. With this franchise, I understand better that even though
it is fictional, there are still some issues that people have to deal with. I watched the franchise as if
each character was a person and saw that all of these characters actually have a problem and I could
watch a few characters as my own family members. This made me understand that even though it is a
problem, not all the time can problems be fixed, such as Pooh s problem. In the end of it all, Pooh
continues to eat honey and no one really stops him because it is what makes him happy. This creates
the possibility that there is a correlation between binge eating and happiness in Pooh s life. This
franchise challenges a few myths. One myth is that binge eating disorder is the same thing as bulimia.
Whenever Pooh ate pots of honey, back to back, he would not purge after, instead he would burp and
go to sleep. Another myth is that only women experience binge eating. Pooh is a male, his voice in the
movies and TV shows is a masculine voice. In reality, binge eating affects both

James Madison contributed to some of the most simple and complex events that have not been
recognized. For his job well done, I am willing to make those aspects known. The Life of James
Madison James Madison, also known as The Father on the Constitution , contributed to quite a few
intellectual events in the United States. Madison was an intelligent man with bright ideas that helped
this country become the one it is today. With all his appearances to debates, committee meetings, and
being elected in conventions, he was able to present us the federal government we have today and
some of our basic rights. James Madison s life and times, before, during, and after presidency is now
becoming more well known and interpreted. James Madison was born on March 16, 1751, in Port

What Was The Monroe Doctrine
The Monroe Doctrine was a United States policy of opposing European colonialism in the Americas
beginning in 1823. It stated that further efforts by European nations to take control of any independent
state in North or South America would be viewed as the manifestation of an unfriendly disposition
toward the United States . The Doctrine was issued on December 2, 1823 at a time when nearly all
Latin American colonies of Spain and Portugal had achieved or were at the point of gaining
independence from the Portuguese and Spanish Empires. By the end of the 19th century, Monroe s
declaration was seen as a defining moment in the foreign policy of the United States and one of its
longest standing tenets. It would be invoked by many U.S. statesmen and several U.S. presidents,
including Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan. Roosevelt
gave much thought while in office to the consideration of the Monroe Doctrine of 1823. He added the

Poetry Finds Its Most Memorable Moments In Its Least...
Poetry finds its most memorable moments in its least characterized elements. It is in the words that are

by purposely not saying anything that makes poetry stand out in an observer s mind. Things left

order to keep the rhythm through the piece and maintain his rhymes. He pronounces sirens like sireens

Failed Marriages In The United States Essay
Americans do not seem to be interested in a reality check on the topics of love and marriage. After all,
it seems to be more fun to believe in fairy tales (Hornblow). There is a large number of Americans
who would get married at least once in their lives, without thinking of the importance of a marriage
and the possibilities that could happen based on quick decisions. The true meaning to what marriage
is, issues involving marriage, which causes the divorce rate to rise in the United States, and the
importance of marriage, to what is being done to increase the chance of a happy long lasting marriage.
Marriages in the United States can be seen by the explanation of the effects of not being able to tackle
problems, or being able to learn how to work through complex issues of everyday life as a married
couple. All everyone needs to know about marriage is one thing, which is the purpose and meaning of
marriage. Marriage is a promise two people make in a relationship and make it permanent. This
important word marriage is supposed to be the joining of two people in a special bond that is supposed
to last until death, or what people like to call a forever and always. How can one manage the issues

How Does Overfishing Affect The Future
Nearly seventy one percent of Earth is covered by oceans. This massive body of water provides homes
to millions of species of marine life. Over the years, the amount of fish has decreased rapidly due to
the practice of overfishing. Overfishing has become such a massive problem that if there is no stop put
to it, it could destroy the ocean s and the Earth s future. Fortunately, an organization named Oceana
was founded for the sole purpose of saving the oceans. Due to the overuse of fishing, the population of
sea life is decreasing rapidly and the organization, Oceana, is helping to put a stop to overfishing to
save world hunger, ecosystem destruction, and economic destruction. Oceana is an organization that

the oceans and creating science based fishery management and by doing this, they can make a science

Aninut Religion
As in Hindu customs, the location and direction of the body are specified in sacred and important
texts. It is preferable to bury the corpse away from high traffic places like the synagogue to avoid
health problems, as a corpse can defile an area as it is a powerful source of impurity (Kraemer, 2000,
p.77). Altough this is the case now, Kraemer notes in ancient times people who had contributed to the
synagogue such as high priests and rabbis were laid to rest in the synagogue, if a person makes his life
his home in the synagogue, he will have the merit of locating his eternal home there as well . This
change in preference of burial site is evident in the midrash as the earliest versions of the midrash

Jews mourn in three stages called aninut, shiv ah, and sheloshim. The aninut stage is from death to
burial, meat wine and sexual activity are to be abstained from. The Shiv ah period is the seven days
after the funeral, mirrors are to be covered to remind oneself to not concern themselves with normal
life and focus on what is important. The sheloshim period lasts for 30 days, or one year if the deceased
is a parent. Life returns back to normal with only celebrations where music is played being restricted
(Gywnne, 2009).
Hinduism s samsaric view of life and Judaism s contrasting belief in one life on Earth before
resurrection of the body with the coming of the Messiah, leads to many differences in their funeral and
mourning customs and practices. For example the dissimilarity in the way in which the corpse is to be
treated and the funeral ceremony itself due to opposing ideas of mortality. However despite the vast
difference between traditions, there are still parallels to be noted such as directions for the location and
direction of the ceremony and the restrictive nature of the mourning

Industrial hemp is an attractive potential economic crop. Hemp has had been the subject of public

Battle Of Trenton Dbq
At the start of the Revolutionary war, the British government and army thought the war would be over
in 6 months. However, the war ended up lasting about 8 years from 1775 to 1783. During the war
from 1776 to 1777, Britain laid out a strategy that would enable them to bring this war to a close.
Their strategies to end the war, ultimately failed and costed them big time. Their actions in decisive
battles was part of the reason why they faltered and failed during this time. Overall, the sympathy of
the Howe Brothers, the failure to seize opportunities, and logistical problems, was what cause British
failure. In 1776, the Howe brothers and a large British armada arrived in New York City. When they

supposed to come to Burgoyne s rescue with reinforcements, however, he failed to help General

California s Court Of Appeal
California s Court of Appeal Clarifies Application of anti SLAPP Statutes to Attorney Malpractice
Actions California s anti SLAPP statute (codified in Code of Civil Procedure section 425.16) protects
the Constitutional rights to freedom of speech and right of petition by subjecting any cause of action
that chills these rights to be subject to a special motion to strike. In the context of a complaint against
an attorney for malpractice, the California Court of Appeal recently clarified its application under
existing precedent and held the anti SLAPP statute did not apply to claims against attorneys by former
clients. In Loanvest I, LLC v. Utrecht et al (2015) 235 Cal.App.4th 496, the plaintiff brought an action
against its attorneys for malpractice for failing to put its interests before a former client, resulting in
damage. At the trial level, the court granted the defendant law firm s special motion to strike under the
anti SLAPP statute, finding that the malpractice claim was based upon an act in furtherance of the
protected right of petition. The plaintiff thereafter appealed. In making its decision, the trial court
relied heavily upon Peregrine Funding, Inc. v. Sheppard Muillin Richter Hampton (2005) 133
Cal.App.4th 658 where the Court of Appeal previously held that claims based upon allegations made
by attorneys in judicial filings were within the scope of the anti SLAPP statute and protected. For a

The Fundamentals of Judaism
I am a very spiritual person and am always interested in learning about other religions, especially the

The Effects Of Sexual Assault On College Campuses
Look around at four of your female friends; according to Not Alone, a US Government report on
sexual assault, by the time you graduate college, one of you will become a victim of sexual assault.
For years, schools have struggled with figuring out how to handle this epidemic. Many schools just
don t focus on sexual assault; for example, according to Rolling Stone s article, Rolling Stone and
UVA: The Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism Report by Sheila Coronel, Steve Coll,
and Derek Kravitz, The University of Virginia has expelled 183 students for academic dishonesty and
0 students for sexual assault. This shows how policymakers have pushed sexual assault to the side for
decades on college campuses, despite frequent protests and requests from students for colleges to
make campuses safer. Sexual assaults on college campuses have been mishandled throughout history,
and colleges that have made policy changes have often made ineffective or misguided choices.
Colleges need to adopt a yes means yes policy for verbal consent and should model their policies after
the University of Kentucky s successful green dot program. Before discussing the sexual assault crisis
on college campuses, it is important to disprove some misconceptions. When someone reports a
sexual assault, society tends to immediately deny the assault happened, claiming false accusation, but,
according to Stanford s Men Against Abuse Now report, only two percent of allegations are false, a

By now, most Americans must have heard or be familiar with a chain of coffeehouses, named
Starbucks. Established in 1971 as a local coffee bean roaster and retailer, Starbucks has expanded
rapidly. By successfully adopting Italian coffee culture into a variety of beverages such as brewed
coffee, espresso, teas, Frappuccinos and related products such as music CDs, pastries or ice creams,
the Seattle based company has reported USD 7.9 billion in revenue with 22 percent annual growth
(Starbucks, 2006) . Operating 13,168 stores in 41 countries, Starbucks has, inarguably, become one of

In contrast, beverage items which are rarely consumed by Chinese people such as bottled water,
alcohol like brandy and vodka, vegetable juice and coffee are highly elastic to income (ibid).
Therefore, the combination of Starbucks price factors, strong tea culture and high elastic in demand
for coffee may turn many Chinese customers to local coffee shops or lower price coffee providers
such as McDonalds and KFC.
To cope with strong tea culture and high elasticity of demand, Starbucks has redefined its target
market. Since China is a country where tea culture usually associates closely with old people,
promotion activities directed to young people who are more open to change and learn from Western
culture will be most likely to succeed. Therefore, the company bets its entire marketing effort on
targeting the new Chinese generation, the so called petty bourgeoisie , whose ages range from 18 to 44
with higher spending power and being attracted easily by high status brands (Adamy, 2006). In China,
due to its high population, the Chinese government has enacted the one child policy which prohibits
having more than one child. This later resulted in what is known as the six pocket syndrome . The
syndrome refers to the new Chinese generations who have been pampered and receive much more

different authors on two different subjects can relate. I believe this is done by exampling how
Dawkins describes the general make up of individuals and how they interact in their specific groups
that they as a species have come up in over millennia and how Kozol describes that where you are

to live through those experiences. I felt it would initially be seen as discouraging but, ultimately,
sensitive readers would see the resilient and transcendent qualities of children and some mothers in the

finally. The most moving comments about it also pointed to its moral and religious texture. Jonathan
Kozol has remained in the Boston area for the majority of his life and still fights for the rights of
minorities and under privileged. A defining moment in Kozol s life occurred in 1964 when, shortly

Essay On Paul In Bloor s Coming To Tangerine
Coming to Tangerine Middle was quite the ride for Paul. Paul was able to see how the Tangerine
students are really like to compare to the dirty image that they have on them. First of all, transferring
to this school has made Paul develop confidence in himself to speak the truth, which builds up a
strong relationship with his teammates. Yet Paul still can t get over his main fear, Erik. Although it
may look like Paul grew an enormous amount, mentally in the novel, he still has a long way to go in
order to face Erik. At the end of Part 2, Edward Bloor expresses Paul s growth, emotionally in a strong
way. Paul has constructed more self confidence to speak the truth compared to his antecedent self.
When Paul first meets Tino, Victor and Hernando, on page 108 he states My stomach started to knot

suspension. In Paul s mind, if he tells the truth they will tear him apart in millions of pieces, which
makes Paul refuse to speak the truth. Later, Paul finally had the courage to admit that he was the one
who ratted them out, however Tino reacted surprisingly calm about it. Paul realizes that they are

The Issue Of Reproductive Rights
The topic of reproductive rights surrounding women in Texas has been a hot buttoned issue since the
closing of many reproductive centers across the state. Recently damaging abortion restrictions were
passed and therefor encroach on women s reproductive rights even more by decreasing access to
abortion care. Texas 84th Legislature, both passed HB 3994 as a law and had it Governor Abbott make
it effective with his signature on July 8, or this year. This law complicates access to abortion services
for mistreated and neglected minors and for those who do not possess specific identification cards in
Texas.
Specifically HB 3994 has four requirements of the bill that would explicitly hinder Latina minors. The
first provision it that the bill will make it harder for a minor to demonstrate that she needs a judge to
approve her for an abortion because the level of evidence that the minor must acquire is much more
encompassing. Secondly, it revises the requirement that a judges rule must be made immediately,
expanding the decision time from two days to five and prolonging the process. The third provision
withdrawals the requirement that in the case the judge cannot make an immediate rule, then the minor
s case was automatically granted. This third provision along with the extension of the ruling time,
could lead to a number of rules not being made and to the possibility of the minor s application being
denied. Fourthly, the new bill brings limits on who can have their appeals heard

Women In Persian Letters
Although the crux of Montesquieu s Persian Letters is in his political theory, there is another
component to his novel the status and treatment of women. Amongst the hundreds of letters detailing
Usbek and Rica s exploits throughout Europe, are revelations from Usbek s wives and eunuchs of a
disruption in the gender dynamics of the seraglio while he is abroad. Throughout the duration of
Usbek s journey lingers the persisting tension resulting from his deteriorating influence in his home in
Persia. Given the weight Montesquieu gives to the matters of Usbek s seraglio, it is irrefutable that not
only is the portrayal of the wives of Persian Letters worth examining, but also the power that the
author provides them. Yet, the difficulty of this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Formally, seraglio acts as an extension of Usbek s authority; a marker of his power as a man is in his
ability to govern the affairs of the household. Nonetheless, the progression of Persian Letters
coincides with the weakening of Usbek s hold on the seraglio, and thus, the weakening of his ability to
govern domestic affairs. The chief eunuch, assisted by the various slaves, is declared proxy for Usbek
during his European travels, and is directed to obey the wishes of the women, such as granting them
visits to the countryside, while simultaneously commanding them. Despite this, the wives quickly
establish that while the power of the seraglio may be formally vested in the chief eunuch, in actuality
it lays with them. Within the first year of Usbek s departure, the women already begin to assert their
authority among the eunuchs, issuing various demands that must be fulfilled. The chief eunuch
expounds on how his clout within the household is not absolute, revealing that between him and the
wives exists a kind of flux and reflux of power and submission (13). However, the idea of power
fluctuating between the wives and the chief eunuch is merely a pretense. The accountability for the
women s welfare rests with the chief eunuch, and if he is to fail in his duty to safeguard the inhabitants
of the seraglio, he is

Physical And Emotional Abuse Explored The Color Purple

awareness of the central issues. Both are novels that carry a lot of similarities, where the female
characters are portrayed as invisible , servants and child carers . However, after reading carefully into

written by an African American woman who may have truly experienced the harshness of what she
was writing about; on the other hand The Help by a white woman who had servants at an early age of

can have. Human teeth are not indicative of exactly what you will see in the mouth of all omnivores.
Each omnivore will have teeth that are specifically adapted to the diet these animals consume.
Animals with teeth like humans that use their molars for grinding and their incisors and canines for
ripping or tearing are said to have heterodont dentition. Each tooth is designed for a specific role in
processing the food eaten. Homodont dentition, found in most omnivorous reptiles, occurs when the
teeth are all relatively the same size and shape.

Write A Narrative Essay On The Relationship Between Mabel...
Yeah, that s because Max accused the redhead of cheating on him and is keeping her dog hostage.
~
Each evening, the little aristocrat went for a walk. Her little legs moved swiftly to the point that the
walker would have to run to keep up with her. She stopped to bark at large dogs, ignoring anyone her
own size.
It was extremely difficult to sit down after a hard day s work without Mabel hopping up onto Hanna s
lap. One afternoon, while the children were all at school, Hanna just wanted some peace and quiet.
Assured Mabel was sound asleep in her bed next to the dishwasher, Hanna quietly tiptoed into the
living room. Mabel bounded out of the kitchen, jumping onto the couch before Hanna even reached
the middle of the living room. Mabel ran ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jumping onto their bed, Mabel danced around slipping from Hanna s reach each time she tried to grab
the wiggly dog. Spotting greasy paw prints on the white and blue flowered bedspread, Hanna fumed,
This is the last straw! You have just been disinherited little dog! Get out of my sight!
With a fearful look in her eyes, Mabel bounded to the edge of the bed, jumped to the floor and
scurried underneath out of Hanna s reach. She yelled at the dog, Just you wait until Molly gets home!
Hanna headed for the stack of magazines inside the end table next to the couch, hoping to find any
information about removing greasy oil from fabric.
This was not the first time Hanna had dealt with Mabel s paw prints. One time, the children purchased
a Father s Day card. Each child signed his or her name. Deciding Mabel was now an official member
of the family, she needed to sign the card too. Carrying her to the basement, Molly placed Mabel on
the counter in the laundry room, painted her front right paw with bright red paint, and imprinted the
card with her foot, producing a perfect paw

Visual Analysis of the Hall of Supreme Harmony
Forbidden city is the imperial palace of China for many decays since the Ming dynasty. The imperial
palace was not only the home for the emperor but also the conference hall and workshops for the
emperor and his subjects. The Forbidden City is divided into two parts, the outer part and the inner
part. The outer part of the city is to the public and the inner part is where the emperor and his family
lived. The Hall of Supreme Harmony, Taihedian, is the first of the three halls in the Forbidden City
where the emperor sees his subjects. Yongle, one of the Ming emperors, first built the Hall of Supreme
Harmony in 1427.1 In both Ming and Qing dynasties there were twenty four emperors held the
enthronement ceremony in this hall. Because of many reasons such as fires that the Hall of Supreme
Harmony was under many times of construction. The building that visitors see today is not the original
from the Ming Dynasty. The Hall of the Supreme Harmony follows Chinese philosophies such as
Confucianism and Taoism into structures, setting, and symbols. The Hall of Supreme Harmony has
unique structures. Some parts of the architecture of the Hall of Supreme Harmony are based on the
Confuses philosophy called Confucianism. Confucianism is the ideology that created the Son of
Heaven, a person is given the right by heaven to rule China, which has the equivalent meaning to the
Mandate of Heaven. By the ancient Zhou ritual that the Ming and Qing emperors rigidly conformed,
prescribed that the

When Juana tries to tell him that the pearl is evil, he doesn t believe her. He says, No one shall take
our good fortune from us. Kino is determined to sell the pearl and become rich; no one seems to be
able to tell him otherwise. He also says, This pearl has become my soul. If I give it up, I shall lose my
soul. He has become so invested in this pearl that he feels like it is now a part of him. Kino says this
right after he killed someone and his house burned down, which all happens because of the pearl.
Despite all of the bad things that have happened, Kino is still unwilling to give up the pearl. He is so

George Lucas Influences
A long time ago in a galaxy not so far away a boy with a love of space operas and race cars would
grow into a man who would create a movie empire and change the world of cinema for years to come.
George Walton Lucas Jr. was born on May 14, 1944, in Modesto, California a small farming town east
of San Francisco (Barson). He attended Thomas Downey High School and later attended Modesto
Junior College to study social sciences. While he was there, Lucas took an interest in photography and
film and, subsequently, decided he wanted to go to art school. Then, he enrolled in the University of
Southern California film school and produced eight student films with his new friend Francis Ford
Coppola ( George Lucas Biography ). After many short film ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Most notably known for his creation of the Star Wars trilogy, the world renowned film writer created a
series which sparked a dutifully loyal fan base and an ever expanding franchise. However, Lucas did
not always want to create stories and produce films. Throughout his journey, the film writer George
Lucas experienced many influences; the most prominent being his friends, Francis Ford Coppola and
Steven Spielberg, and a traumatic car crash he experiences as a young adult
One of the major influences on Lucas life and career was Francis Ford Coppola, a filmmaker born in
Detroit, Michigan in 1939 ( Francis Ford Coppola ). George Lucas first met Coppola when he interned
at Warner Bros Studios in 1967 ( George Lucas 2000). He worked there for six months and assisted
Coppola with his productions like a movie version of the Broadway musical Finian s Rainbow

Warner Bros. They assisted each other on numerous films in addition to Lucas learning trade secrets,
film methods, and different movie designs. Then, the next year,

The Pros And Cons Of A Constitutional Republic
There is a common misconception that the United States is a Democracy , but the technical term for
the type of government that the U.S. is ruled under is a Constitutional Republic . A Republic is simply
a government where people whom were elected by a larger body of citizens make the laws, while a
Democracy is simply a government where the citizens make laws directly. A constitution is simply a
set of laws that are above all, and everything after cannot contradict those laws. Thus, a Constitutional
Republic is simply a government who rules under a set of laws and the government is elected by a
larger body of citizens to make future laws. However, it is not that simple. A constitutional
government is a government where the rule of law is paramount, ... Show more content on

An example of this separation of powers comes from the U.S. government itself, from which there are
three branches of government, the legislative branch, the judicial branch, and the executive branch,
and within the legislative branch rests two houses, the Senate and the House of Representatives, and
even deeper, there is the armed populace, from which, in theory, the final check is to come from.
These separations of power, defined mostly by the written Constitution of the U.S., makes it so that
any person who legislates, will face opposition in the event of a power grab, though it s worth noting
that it s entirely possible for large groups to overwhelm this system of checks and balances. In any
case, this separation of powers is necessary for a constitution, as it further enables a government to
secure the natural rights of person (in the way of not oppressing those

Brain stimulation therapies:
Brain stimulation therapies are non pharmacological method which involves activating or touching the
brain directly with electricity, magnets, or implants to treat depression and other disorders. Among
many techniques, electroconvulsive therapy is the most researched stimulation therapy.
Other stimulation therapies discussed here includes
 Vagus nerve stimulation
 repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation
 magnetic seizure therapy
 Deep brain stimulation.

Amnesia following the procedure.
Clinical guidelines/Pearls
It is used about three times a week until the patient s depression wears away (usually within six to 12
treatments) which is followed by the maintenance treatment in case of recurrence which range from
one session per week to one session every few months.
It is found that antidepressant medication or a mood stabilizing medication are also consumed by
patient undergoing ECT.
In the past, a sine wave was used to administer electricity in a constant, high dose. However, studies
have found that a brief pulse of electricity applied at frequent interval is less likely to cause memory
loss.
The patient wakes up after few minutes of the procedure with some dizziness (anesthetic effects) and
becomes alert after few hours and can resume normal activities.
Vagus nerve stimulation
Introduction
Vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) is an adjunctive treatment for certain types of intractable epilepsy and
treatment resistant depression .
Despite FDA approval, VNS remains a controversial treatment for depression because the studies have
not shown the promising outcome.

A Theoretical Framework for Energy Security Through Discourse
The current chapter presents the theoretical framework for the thesis and a method for the analysis.
The central question of the paper regards the evolution of the EU and Estonian energy security
discourses and the implications for the EU governance models in the changing global conditions. For
many years, studies of Europe have focused on the internal processes of integration and enlargement.
Nevertheless, in the context of growing global challenges and the need for innovative solutions for
gaining the competitive advantage signalled that there is a need to turn attention to external
developments and to the internal changes simultaneously. This chapter will introduce some analytical
perspectives which will help to examine developments in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Webber et al, as well as, Buzan et al, governance structures have a hierarchical
institutionalized dimension. The actors within the structure grant the authority to the institutions they
trust and choose to obey. Rod Rhodes, in his work on theorizing the problems of governance, outlines
that it is not possible to discuss the problems of governance without further specification of its sphere.
From the early 90s, the problems of governance have been mostly discussed within the schools of
political science. The enlargement of the EU and the increasing interdependence of the member states
triggered the academic interest towards the distinct structures of the European governance. In this
light, a number of analysts began to address the question of how should the relations between the
member states and the European institutions be examined in the framework of EU governance. Some
emerging approaches for considering these relations will be discussed in the sections below. 2.3.1. Top
down and bottom up approaches to the EU governance There are numerous approaches to study the
issues of European governance and the relations between its actors. Some analysts use top down
approaches and others bottom up approaches in addressing questions concerning power relations
between the EU and its member states. According to

How Does Hitchcock Use Suspense In The Birds
The birds compare and contrast essay While reading/watching both du Maurier s The Birds and
Hitchcock s The Birds, they both used suspense to enhance the story/plot. However, Hitchcock s does
a better job at creating and utilizing the element of suspense using pace, timing, and continuity. Alfred
Hitchcock uses suspense by slowing the movie down so it makes the audience wait and wait until the
climax appears and gives a more dramatic feeling. For example in the scene were the number of birds
keep on increasing as Melanie Daniels innocently sits on the bench next to the school. This is
suspenseful because as she sits we see the birds rapidly increasing but she is completely clueless. Thus
in du Maurier s The Birds she does not use the slow suspense in fact she has action in the begging of
her story. For example, children flung themselves, screaming, upon him, while in the darkness the
birds rose and dived and came for him again. (Page5). This shows that she goes straight out and doesn

For instance, when all the birds came fluttering out of the chimney exactly when you think they
would. This is suspenseful because you could hear sound of suicide birds hitting the house and you
knew something was going to happen. This was not shown by du Maurier s story because she used
very detailed descriptions and each part of the story followed a sequence. For example when she
explains that Jill was being attacked and then another room was attacked and so forth. This is shown
when she writes, Nat lit the candle, but when he opened the bedroom door to cross the passage the
draft blew out the flame. There came a second cry of terror, this time from both children (4). This
explains that she couldn t use timing because it was a book but she instead wrote horrifying events
that led up to one big one. Therefor Alfred s The Birds, was more

The Law Of Marijuana Film Analysis
The law of marijuana has grown rapidly throughout the last couple years. Marijuana has been
approved by 27 states, but now United States of America is rethinking its view. Due to the immediate
effects such as rapid heart beat, disorientations, lack of physical coordination, often followed by
depression or sleepiness. According to international statistics, over 94 million people in the US have
admitted using it at least once. In this paper, I will discuss my thoughts and opinions on the
documentary, five things I learned from it, and lastly if I still believe marijuana should be legal or
illegal in the United States. In my opinion the documentary on marijuana was very surprising, but also
very educational. By watching this documentary I learned a lot more about marijuana than I expected.

The documentary never explained why they tried it though. There could be numerous of reasons why
they did, such as medical concerns, dare, and even boredom. Another concern the documentary looked
at was that nine percent of Americans rely on marijuana on a day to day basis. Even though this
surprised me I believe the documentary could ve went more in depth of why these individuals relied
on it. The next thing it looked at was after smoking marijuana the high last for about two hours. This
fact grabbed my attention as I expected it to only last the time when you re smoking it or even fifteen
minutes after smoking marijuana. The reason I believed this is because when I drink caffeine I can
only feel it as I drink it and about thirty minutes after I finish the drink. As I know marijuana is a little
more powerful, I didn t expect that much of a difference. Another statistic the commentary added was
that fifteen million Americans get high every month. This statistic completely blew my mind when it

  • 2. Diversity Within The Workplace Within Australia Diversity in organizations has become a huge interest within the workplace due to many factors such as globalization, migration, innovation and most importantly because it is morally correct. Generally, as businesses main goal is profit, and the workforce diversity management is such a pervasive business practice (Bowes, L. 2013) they need to keep up with global markets. Diversity in Australia is important, as it is one of the most culturally diverse in the world, with 27% of Australian population being born outside of Australia, however the management of cultural diversity in Australia has only been mediocre (Fenwick, M. 2011). The Main Theme of Tennyson s The Charge of the Light Brigade From the first few lines of The Charge of the Light Brigade, Tennyson plunges you into the poem, creating an awesome, in depth feeling of reality. His words are so powerful, that they make you feel as if you are one of the Light Brigade. With this war language he uses he gives the reader a feeling of heroism and bravery, an inexorable feeling. Charge for the guns! Into the valley of death rode the six hundred. This illustrates the great irony or war, as they are marching into the valley on a misinterpreted command. The actual command that was given was to ret rite from the valley and not to go into it. Forward the Light ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In verse three it exclaims that there was a; Cannon to the right of them, Cannon to the left of them Cannon in front of them. This is an audio image of bombardment, which almost allows you to hear the cannons being set off. This draws the reader in, making them think as if they were there. Into the jaws of Death, into the mouth of hell . In this line I have come across personification, as the valley has been brought to life by being given human attributes. This highlights the horror, torture and suffering the soldiers uncovered and shows the wicked darkness of war. In verse four there is a dramatic pause, All the world wondered. This line suggests that the whole world knew of their bravery and that they would be always remembered as heroes of their era. Reeled from the sabre stroke, in this short line you can nearly hear the sabres slashing through the air violently. Shattered and sundered tells us that they were beaten, but beaten as warriors of war. Then they rode back, but not, Not the six hundred . This statement is very emphatic and stark, which makes the reader dwell on their unfortunate defeat.

The Leather Boot As Evidence Against God Erlang s Impostor The supernatural element of the sorcery in the story of The Leather Boot as Evidence against the God Erlang s Impostor makes the story more appealing to me. As a comparison, in the story The Fan Tower Restaurant as Witness to the Love of Zhou Shengxian , the dream encounter for Second Brother Fan of Zhou Shengxian after she was died is somehow less interesting. When reading the God Erlang s story, after god Erlang first appeared in Lady Han s garden I thought it was just her imagination of the god coming down to the man s world because her mind was full of the image of the god at that time. As the second time god Erlang appeared again in Lady Han s garden, I started to guess if this was someone s prank on Lady Han. The way god Erlang ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After I read this sentence, I was sure that god Erland was just an ordinary person who was attracted by Lady Han s beauty and wealth. The question of the uncertainty of the supernatural element urged me to continue and finish the story in order to find out the truth about who god Erlang was and how can he disappear by the windowsill without a trace. The supernatural element in the Fan story is less interesting to me. The only part that interested me in the Fan story is when Zhu Zhen opened Zhou Shengxian s coffin and Zhou Shengxian came back to life and ask Zhu Zhen, brother, who might you be? (Feng, 284). After I read this part of the story, I was really curious of how can a died person woke up suddenly (she was died a year ago). Hitler felt that the public needed to be inundated with the ideology of the state at all times and through all mediums (Jowett and O Donnell 2). The Nazi s did use propaganda in this negative sense but in an underhanded and subversive way. They backed up all their false reports with scientific studies and claims of a better human race. Propaganda is hard to define as most definitions do not cover the full meaning of the word. The Webster s Illustrated Encyclopedic Dictionary defines propaganda as the systematic propagation or discrediting of a given doctrine or cause by circulation of polemical material, such as posters and leaflets (1353). However, this definition does not cover the full scope of the of the word. Terence Qualter also feels the definition for propaganda needs to be more refined for its new usage. The definition that he gives is the deliberate attempt...(to) form, control, or alter the attitudes of other groups...(with) the use of the instruments of communication (27 28). He goes on to say that the propaganda must be aimed at the group in general because that is the basic nature of the word, in that the most effective propaganda is the propaganda which has a large audience. Qualter does mention, however, that there need be no difference in the propaganda to persuade one and the propaganda to persuade the many (28). Based on that opinion, he goes on to state that ironically the social justice intended by the No Child Left Behind Act has instead created further social injustice. Walker writes that an additional inconvenient truth of all this is that the impacts are irreversible, While no one discounts the very real problem of students who can t read or do basic math, defenders of the status quo often claim that glossing over science, arts and social studies is merely a fleeting elementary school experience later to be recouped in middle and later high school. With this franchise, I understand better that even though it is fictional, there are still some issues that people have to deal with. I watched the franchise as if each character was a person and saw that all of these characters actually have a problem and I could watch a few characters as my own family members. In the end of it all, Pooh continues to eat honey and no one really stops him because it is what makes him happy. This creates the possibility that there is a correlation between binge eating and happiness in Pooh s life. This franchise challenges a few myths. One myth is that binge eating disorder is the same thing as bulimia. Whenever Pooh ate pots of honey, back to back, he would not purge after, instead he would burp and go to sleep. The Doctrine was issued on December 2, 1823 at a time when nearly all Latin American colonies of Spain and Portugal had achieved or were at the point of gaining independence from the Portuguese and Spanish Empires. California s Court Of Appeal California s Court of Appeal Clarifies Application of anti SLAPP Statutes to Attorney Malpractice Actions California s anti SLAPP statute (codified in Code of Civil Procedure section 425.16) protects the Constitutional rights to freedom of speech and right of petition by subjecting any cause of action that chills these rights to be subject to a special motion to strike. In the context of a complaint against an attorney for malpractice, the California Court of Appeal recently clarified its application under existing precedent and held the anti SLAPP statute did not apply to claims against attorneys by former clients. In Loanvest I, LLC v. Utrecht et al (2015) 235 Cal.App.4th 496, the plaintiff brought an action against its attorneys for malpractice for failing to put its interests before a former client, resulting in damage. At the trial level, the court granted the defendant law firm s special motion to strike under the anti SLAPP statute, finding that the malpractice claim was based upon an act in furtherance of the protected right of petition. The plaintiff thereafter appealed. In making its decision, the trial court relied heavily upon Peregrine Funding, Inc. v. Recently damaging abortion restrictions were passed and therefor encroach on women s reproductive rights even more by decreasing access to abortion care. This law complicates access to abortion services for mistreated and neglected minors and for those who do not possess specific identification cards in Texas. Specifically HB 3994 has four requirements of the bill that would explicitly hinder Latina minors. The first provision it that the bill will make it harder for a minor to demonstrate that she needs a judge to approve her for an abortion because the level of evidence that the minor must acquire is much more encompassing. Secondly, it revises the requirement that a judges rule must be made immediately, expanding the decision time from two days to five and prolonging the process. The third provision withdrawals the requirement that in the case the judge cannot make an immediate rule, then the minor s case was automatically granted. Like in China the dragon represents goodness and inventions are goodness and help. But China is widely known for their pollution, which is negative. Connecting with other cultures the dragon is a negative character just like the pollution is negative. Additionally, according to http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Chinese_dragon#Chinese_mythology_and_culture , In Chinese mythology, the dragon was revered in several different ways. ... Those costs are materials, labor, or expenses related to producing the product or service. A quick glance at your own teeth will give you a sense of the variety of shapes and sizes of teeth an omnivore can have. Human teeth are not indicative of exactly what you will see in the mouth of all omnivores. Each omnivore will have teeth that are specifically adapted to the diet these animals consume. Animals with teeth like humans that use their molars for grinding and their incisors and canines for ripping or tearing are said to have heterodont dentition. Each tooth is designed for a specific role in processing the food eaten. Homodont dentition, found in most omnivorous reptiles, occurs when the teeth are all relatively the same size and shape. ... These separations of power, defined mostly by the written Constitution of the U.S., makes it so that any person who legislates, will face opposition in the event of a power grab, though it s worth noting that it s entirely possible for large groups to overwhelm this system of checks and balances. The actors within the structure grant the authority to the institutions they trust and choose to obey. Rod Rhodes, in his work on theorizing the problems of governance, outlines that it is not possible to discuss the problems of governance without further specification of its sphere. From the early 90s, the problems of governance have been mostly discussed within the schools of political science. The enlargement of the EU and the increasing interdependence of the member states triggered the academic interest towards the distinct structures of the European governance. In this light, a number of analysts began to address the question of how should the relations between the member states and the European institutions be examined in the framework of EU governance. How Does Hitchcock Use Suspense In The Birds The birds compare and contrast essay While reading/watching both du Maurier s The Birds and Hitchcock s The Birds, they both used suspense to enhance the story/plot. However, Hitchcock s does a better job at creating and utilizing the element of suspense using pace, timing, and continuity. Alfred Hitchcock uses suspense by slowing the movie down so it makes the audience wait and wait until the climax appears and gives a more dramatic feeling. For example in the scene were the number of birds keep on increasing as Melanie Daniels innocently sits on the bench next to the school. This is suspenseful because as she sits we see the birds rapidly increasing but she is completely clueless. Thus in du Maurier s The Birds she does not use the slow suspense in fact she has action in the begging of her story. For example, children flung themselves, screaming, upon him, while in the darkness the birds rose and dived and came for him again. (Page5).
