Burmese Pythons and their effect on native species in the Everglades Burmese Pythons is a non native
pest in the United States of America, which originated from South Asia. The species is becoming an
established breeding population in South Florida and its environs. The python was illegally freed in
the Everglades National park where the marshy grasses and water provide a conducive environment
for its survival. Burmese python was recognized as a reproducing population around the year 2000.
The python has been classified as an invasive species in Florida. The species has disrupted the
ecosystem by preying on native species and out competing them for food. The python is a successful

The Characters Of Johnny And Outsiders In The Outsiders
Two different age kids in The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton, turn out to have a lot in common but, also a
lot dissimilar. Johnny and Dally both do not have a strong relationship with their abusive, neglectful
parents but, at least they have the gang. On the other hand, Dally likes to fight and Johnny does not, so
in the end Johnny dies as someone to look up to and Dally dies a thief. Throughout the story they both
show different emotions towards their parents, gang members, and each other. Johnny and Dally have
a lot in common, and one of them is that they do not really have people to call their family, so they
call their gang their family. When Darry hits Ponyboy, Pony runs to Johnny, who is sleeping in the lot,

In The Tortilla Curtain, T.C. Boyle strives to show the economic and social divide between illegal
immigrants and middle class American citizens. He does this by showing Candido Rincon, an
immigrant from Tepoztlan, Mexico, crossing paths multiple times with Delaney Mossbacher, a white
middle class American living in the complex of Arroyo Blanco. Delaney, a self proclaimed Democrat,
over his interactions with Candido and other Hispanics, deviates from his liberal views and descends
into overt racism. Likewise, Candido has the intentions that mirror his name the name Candido comes
from the latin word candidus, a, um which has a connotation of pureness but as he gets more and more
desperate, he diverges from his honest work and resorts to stealing and scavenging. Candido s and
Delaney s actions display each s descent into savagery. The coyote, a traditional symbol of savagery,
applies to both Candido and Delaney. Delaney writes an entire entrance into his nature blog Pilgrim at
Topanga Creek regarding the coyotes: yet I can t help thinking too of the missing pets, the trail of
suspicion, the next baby left unattended on the patio. The coyotes keep coming, breeding up to fill in
the gaps, moving in where the living is easy. They are cunning, versatile, hungry and unstoppable

legendary MC s, giving the viewer an inside perspective of this music and the art of MC ing. This film
also heavily resonates with the book Rap Music and Street Consciousness. Ice T interviews many
influential and important MC s in the rap game, both old school and new school, enabling the viewer
to really gain knowledge on the role of the MC. Three MC s interviewed that really explain the role of
the MC is Grandmaster Caz, Ice T, and Big Daddy Kane. During Grandmaster Caz s interview, he
explains how he started out as an MC, taking his parents old funk and soul records and rapping over
the beats. He believes the most important part of rap is the lyrics, explaining his technique of trying to
go beyond what the next MC is going to do. Throughout the film, Ice T adds in his own commentary

The cultural beliefs impacted the characters of this book is when Lena recalled her mother telling her
that if a spouse didn t eat their food, the other spouse would develop pock marks on their face. In the
book it states, If my mother had been in the room, she would have told me these poor people were
victims of future husbands and wives who had failed to eat platefuls of food (153). When Lena heard
this warning as a little girl, she also thought that she would have to marry a neighborhood boy named

This quote is a flashback from an elderly Vianne, and it is the first line in the book. This quote
foreshadows the effect that war has on many characters, and how such a horrible event can put
everything under a microscope and show the courageous battles fought, and not just by the soldiers.
War is an abhorrent event that has the ability to destroy everything. That is no different in the novel
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. The Nightingale is about two French sisters, Vianne and Isabelle
Rossignol and tells their stories while living in a German occupied France. Right from the very
beginning, it seems that the two sisters have completely opposite characteristics. When Vianne was 14
and Isabelle was 4 their mother died. This is obviously a very emotional time for the two and they
both cope with the death of their mother in very different ways. Vianne is forced to take over the
mother role which is courageous at any age, but at 14 it is simply gallant: You will be the mother now.
Her father said to Vianne while her eyes were swollen from crying, her grief unbearable (7). Vianne
did not even have the opportunity to cope with her mother s loss before she had to fill her mother s
shoes, whose shoes were not easy to fill by any means. Isabelle on the other hand is a fiercely
rebellious girl who refuses to listen to anyone. She is expelled from a dozen boarding schools
throughout her teenage years, and she is unwilling to settle down and be the proper lady her father so
desperately wishes her to be. At the beginning of the novel, both sisters appear to have distinctive
differences in regard to their personality and values.
In 1940, the war begins to intensify at a rapid rate, and it appears that when the war begins the
rebellious side of Isabelle will end up costing her her life or someone around her. The difference in the
two sisters is evident when Sophie questions why they have to relinquish their radio to the Germans,

membrane. Diffusion in plant and animal cells is the spontaneous net movement of ions and molecules
