I definitely agree with Simon when he talks about the creativity and ingenious of humans. The
innovations we have today in not just the world of food production are absolutely mind blowing.
The machines we use for farming and how we change plants at the genetic level to suit us are
some of the many examples. Granted those inventions can somewhat be debated they are still
great examples of human s ability to problem solve. The part I am less hesitant to agree with is
that there is no problem at all. I think eventually we will reach some sort of semi Malthusian

Research Sites The proposed research study will take place in two schools within two separate
school districts in Tennessee. In order to protect the identity of the research sites, pseudonyms

That something is the truth. Now it is incumbent upon us lawyers not to just talk about the truth,
but to actually seek it, to find it, to live it. What is it in us that seeks the truth? Is it our minds, or
is it our hearts? In his final defense, Jake makes a very valid point. The reputation of lawyers
leads many people to believe that all they want is to win the case, regardless of the consequence
that it may put upon the community. Though sometimes this can be true, Jake tells the
courtroom that the job of a lawyer is to find the truth. That task may sound easy, but when
considering all the influence from the media, people who lie to influence the case, and unclear
information, it can be hard to find the truth in a web of lies. An attorney s job is to inform the
jury of true events so that they can make a proper judgment. During his pain and suffering
caused by the loss of his daughter, Carl Lee loses his sanity and attacks the two boys, killing
them and injuring an officer who is also a friend. He did not mean to injure the officer, thereby
proving his actions were out of control and not what he would do in a normal state of mind. Jake
helps the jury see that it is not fair to judge Carl Lee simply by his act on killing the two boys. He
shows them that they must look at the entire picture. Carl Lee was not himself when he committed
his crime, but rather a grieving father who s actions were controlled by his unbearable
