An Passive Activity Loss Rules
Introduction
For persons dealing with real estate property, the use of the aggregation election to meet the material
participation test may have a significant impact on their tax liability. There is a lot of confusion
surrounding this topic for taxpayers, CPAs, and lawyers alike. A thorough understanding of the
mechanics and the advantages and disadvantages of the real estate professional s use of the
aggregation election to meet the material participation test is crucial for any persons dealing with real
estate property.
The Internal Revenue Code (referenced later as IRC or the Code ) separates all income/loss into three
categories: (1) Active income/loss, (2) Portfolio income, and (3) Passive income/loss.

Active income/loss v. Passive income/loss
In order to properly understand why a taxpayer would rather have active income/loss versus passive
income/loss, one must first understand the differences between these two types of income/losses and
how they are treated for tax purposes.
A trade or businesses is considered a passive activity according to the IRC if the taxpayer does not
materially participate in that respective trade or business. Any income or loss derived from the passive
activity is to be treated as passive income/loss. Additionally the Code automatically classifies
income/loss from most rental activities as passive, regardless of whether the taxpayer materially
participated or not. Net losses generated from passive activities cannot offset income from portfolio or
active income. If a taxpayer s passive activities result in net income, then the income must be reported,
but if they result in a net loss then the loss must be suspended until they generate passive income to
offset the loss.
Inversely, active income/loss is any income derived from wages and profit or loss from a trade or
business where the taxpayer materially participated in the corresponding tax year. Active income/loss
is more attractive than passive income/loss to a taxpayer is that net active losses are fully deductible in
the corresponding taxable year, rather than having to be suspended until it can be offset by

Essay about The Problem of God in Devils and The Brothers...
The Problem of God in Devils and The Brothers Karamazov
In contemplating the creation of the novel The Idiot, Dostoyevsky wrote in a letter to A.N. Maikov
that he hoped to focus the work around a question with which I have been tormented, consciously or
unconsciously all my life that is, the existence of God. 1 Dostoyevsky s personal struggle with the
question of faith, and also his own experience with trying doubts as a believer, are manifested in the
characters he writes. A large number of Dostoyevsky s books are written within the framework of a
Christian doctrine, juxtaposing characterizations of believers and non believers, enforcing the ultimate
good and reason that follow from possessing a faith. Dostoyevsky also ... Show more content on

Moreover, these childhood associations seem to have strongly imprinted upon his mind, This book
[the book of Job] Anna [his wife], it s strange is one of the first which made an impression on me in
life, I was just then only a little boy. 5
While a large portion of Dostoyevsky s nurturing seems to have occurred in a Christian nest, he was
also exposed to the harsh qualities possessed by man. His father was, though reverent, a drunk, and
was later murdered by serfs on account of his inhumane treatment.6
This rougher sphere of his upbringing manifested itself in Dostoyevsky s early adulthood. He became
involved in a group known as the Russian Utopian Socialists, influenced by Belinsky, a well known
literary critic. The partnership formed by the two presumably shook Dostoyevsky s faith, as his
revered mentor found that as a socialist, he had to destroy Christianity in the first place. He knew that
the revolution must necessarily begin with atheism. 7 Later, though, Dostoyevsky broke off from the
specific branch of the movement, forming the Durov circle. He was arrested for the circulation of a
private letter full of insolent expressions against the Orthodox Church. 8 Evidently, he had forgotten
his mother s teachings.
While in prison (where the only book allowed was The Bible) it appears Dostoyevsky began to
reemerge as a believer, writing in a letter to Mrs. N.D. Fonvizin:
I believe that there

Essay on Conscience of Queen Gertrude in Shakespeare s...
The Conscience of the Queen William Shakespeare s play Hamlet is perhaps one of his most
intriguing and scandalous pieces of work. One character who is liable for much of this excitement and
outrage is Hamlet s mother, Queen Gertrude. To some readers and critics, Gertrude is conceived as an
erratic, superficial and sensual woman. Others discern the Queen as an earnest, intellectual and
sagacious woman whose tragic fault is her yearning for sexual satisfaction. Throughout the text, there
are several legitimate arguments for both sides, but in the end, Hamlet seems to sum up the Queen s
true persona with the words Frailty, thy name is woman . Evidence of Gertrude s true nature can be
found in many instances through out the play such ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hamlet s conflict with Gertrude is a main part of this play. A few characters in this play give insight on
Gertrude that point in the direction of her being shallow and evil. One example is late in the first act
when Hamlet cries O most pernicious woman! O villain, villain, smiling, dammed villain! This is
when, deep in thought, Hamlet realizes that his mother could have possibly taken part in his father s
death and he thinks she s evil. In Hamlet s head, everything makes sense now because it is now
understandable how she got over the death so quickly. This is the first time that Hamlet realizes his
mother s true character. This is a very imperative notion about Gertrude s personality because for her
very own son to think a validation like this is extreme. Often times a man will love and defend his
mother until the day he dies, while Hamlet, on the other hand, is thinking of her playing a role in his
father s death. When the ghost speaks of Gertrude s speedy marriage, it provides more evidence of her
shallowness. The King s ghost says that she is seeming virtuous . He is basically saying that while she
looks holy and righteous, she isn t. The new King offered her something (or many things) that she
wanted, and she took the bait and married him. She didn t care that her husband had just died, or how
her son would react to this

Evelyn Waugh s Vile Bodies
Evelyn Waugh lived in the time of the World Wars, which greatly influenced his writing and the
actions of his characters. People were affected by WWI in multiple ways. They often suffered a lack
of confidence in themselves and in the state of the world. In Vile Bodies, Evelyn Waugh s characters
often misuse and take advantage of technology, which helps to depict the loss of identity and
emotional connection in the wake of World War I.
Technology demonstrated a disconnect, particularly an emotional disconnect between Adam and some
of the other characters. Adam and Nina s relationship ends over a phone call, which could have been
read in a very monotone manner. Nina calls Adam up, I m engaged to be married. I don t believe it.
[...] Well, I am. That s all there is to it. [...] I see. Well? I said, I see (260). Adam should feel more

The telephone is known for downplaying the context of conversation and the loss of personal touch,
just like modern day cellular phones have the ability to text, which is an even more extreme example
of a lack of personality. Their relationship had already been lacking a physical disconnect, but the lack
of closeness on the telephone also demonstrated a widening emotional gap. The emotional gap is
representative of the loss of identity which is caused by the strain that was put on their generation after
WWI. The telephone was also a way to spread information faster than if one would have to travel by
foot or write their news through a letter. For a brief time period Adam worked as one of the gossip
writers for the paper. Lord Balcairn was another one of the gossip writers and he said, I ve just

shows how they are too caught up in the idea of technology. This

The United States Supreme Court Decisions
As a student or professional in the criminal justice field, one will undoubtedly cross paths with the
Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution. The right of the people to be secure in their
persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated,
and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and
particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. (U.S. Const.
amend. IV) The source of many United States Supreme Court decisions, these often debated words
seek to protect citizens against abuses of power by the government. Although the intent of these few
words are clear, the debate stems from the attempts to interpret the intent of the framers. Three major
interpretations have been developed from the debates surrounding the Fourth Amendment to the U.S.
Constitution. These interpretations are the warrant approach, the reasonableness approach and the
special needs approach. We will begin by discussing the warrant approach which is also the traditional
approach to interpret the Fourth Amendment. The warrant approach focused on limiting valid searches
to those done with a warrant based on probable cause (Bacigal, 1979). This meant that in order for a
search to be valid under the Fourth Amendment there had to be judicial approval in advance of the
search except when justified by absolute necessity (Stelzner, 1979). Proponents of this approach

The Argument For And Against The Labour Movement

Demonstrate your familiarity with the discussion set out in the course materials.
Introduction
The publication of the Unfair Advantage by the Worker s Freedom of Association [this is not in your
list of references. Where is it found?] in the United States saw a major turn on Human Rights watch in
the Labour ministry all over the world. Countries such as Canada and Australia came into the lime
light in the fight for labour struggles as human rights. [explain] This move [what move?] was aimed at
revitalization of the labour movement. It is a move that saw the International Human Rights Day
declared a holiday [where?] as it is does Labour Day. The advocates on the human rights approach
work hand in hand with the human rights allies of the inexorable internationalization of the labour
struggles.[source?] They allowed the naming and shaming of the labour laws abusers and
infringement. These acts were more responsive to the current political and economic zeitgeist than the
traditional labour influences. On the other hand, reframing of human rights was seen to result to
authoritativeness to the labour discourse that would undermine trade unionists. [explain] While the
voices of those advocating for the framing of human rights was loud enough, others saw this move as
misplaced. It was a fact that the

Suv And Crossover Vehicles Of Cars
SUV and Crossover vehicles are starting to take over the US car market. 2016 is the year of the SUV
and pickup truck. Each month the car sales share of the market slips a bit (NPR, 2016). This means
that sales of your average car are starting to slip. If you pay attention while driving down the road you
may notice this. I believe there are several reasons why this is starting to be the case. SUVs and
Crossover vehicles sit higher than an average commuter or luxury car. They tend to have more space
inside for passengers and cargo. They are starting to rival the fuel economy of cars. Four wheel drive
is a feature available to all of them. Now before I get started I said SUVs and Crossovers. While these
two types of vehicles are broadly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is especially true if a person has to commute long distances to work. A new study by
TrueCar.com finds tooling around in a small SUV is no longer that wasteful. The sales weighted fuel
economy average is only 2 miles per gallon apart (26.83 mpg SUV vs. 28.84 mpg sedan) SUV owners
typically will pay only another $3 more tankful to fill up their SUV compared to a sedan. (USA Today,
2015). Granted those numbers are for a Crossover, However manufactures like Nissan and RAM
Trucks are starting to place small diesel engines in half ton trucks in order to gain fuel economy
without sacrificing payload capability. RAM is claiming to make up to 29 MPG with their small diesel
(I was not able to find fuel economy numbers for the Nissan engine). So it is likely fair to assume that
it is only a matter of time before traditional SUVs get engines of that type. Height is also an apparent
factor in the purchase of these vehicles. People reportedly like the fact that they sit higher than an
average car. It gives people the feeling that they have command of the road . As someone that drives a
full size truck I can confirm that being able to see over the car(s) in front of you does give you a
certain commanding feeling. Driving a low sitting sedan just feels like you are dragging your backside
across the pavement. However I think there may be more to the height factor.

The Five Characteristics Of A Good President
Presidents are very important to the country, but the 3 most important requirement to become a
president of the United States include, being the age of 35, a natural born citizen and a resident within
the United States for 14 years. When looking at the American history today and trying to figure out the
best one, it is important to look at individual traits that make a good president. For example, some
presidents were loved by the public but barely made any accomplishment in the office while on the
other hand some presidents made massive accomplishments for the economy and the country but were
overlooked with disregard. The five important traits for a good president are Intelligence/ wisdom,
honesty, leadership quality, respecting and hard working.
Intelligence also known as wisdom means having the quality of experience, knowledge, and good
judgment to make great decisions. Intelligence and wisdom are important due to various reasons.
Firstly, a president must know every criteria and should be very knowledgeable regarding his job.
Also, presidents are people who make decisions and judge for the ... Show more content on

Another important trait is honesty as it is very important for the country to have a trustworthy leader
who doesn t cheat on his people; every president in the history of America has made a false and a fake
promise to his people before being elected as the president to win the heart of the people and later not
complete the promise that he had made. The president should not lie to his people; he should also be
honest to other countries for alliances and unions and without the alliance the country might suffer and
not be well known. For example, if the president of the United States lies to the Chinese government,
there is a high chance for the Chinese government to stop exporting their products which a lot of the
U.S. citizens rely on. Thus, honesty or being honest is an important trait to be in a

Grace Nichols Island Man
The mood of this poem is very soothing and is a sense of relaxation and security. Grace Nichols is
showing that the island mans first home is the Caribbean. the steady breaking and wombing. The word
wombing is a made up word by the writer. It has many associations but it makes us the readers
imagine a place of comfort and security but more importantly a sense of home and belonging. The
reason why this image is put in to the readers mind is because babies grow in the mothers womb, so
we could say that the womb is everyone s first home . The word wombing can also mean his mother
land.
The first line in this poem is only taken up by one word, morning this may represent a peaceful
approach to the day. I came to this conclusion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This signals to the reader that he is not actually in this place. This makes me imagine that he carries
his homeland in his head. This also gives you an idea that island man is both in London and
Caribbean.
The writer makes us envision a scene of beauty and only something we can dream of. The scene is
also revealed as precious to the island man. small emerald island portrays that the island is an emerald.
An emerald is very hard to get and in many cases people could only dream of getting one. The writer
uses a technique called a metaphor. The reason why the writer uses this technique is because it allows
the reader to imagine the scene better. For example the writer compares an emerald with the island .
Emeralds can be green this then represents green tress and most islands usually have a lot of trees.
Grace Nichols describes the sun as a positive image. the sun surfacing defiantly makes the reader
picture an image of the sun climbing in to the sky. The word defiantly allows the sun to stand out. sun
surfacing defiantly could also represent that he doesn t want the sun to rise, he just wants to lye here in
his small island and just relax but know matter what he does the sun still rises.
Another technique the poet uses is something called sibilance which is a repetitive s sound. The sound
of the s is actually trying to recreate the sounds of the island as well as having the mellow imagery of
the blue surf. One of the examples the letter s creates

Critical Thinking Skills And The Little Albert Episode
Critical Thinking Skills and the Little Albert Episode
Ethics remains unavoidable in most disciplines, and psychology is no exception. John Watson s
experiment deserves the current criticism because it failed to observe informed consent and protection
from harm principle. The controversy arises from the principle of beneficence and non maleficence.
The principle requires psychologists, in this case, John Watson, and his student to benefit and care for
his subjects. During the Experiment, Albert was nine months old. The age of the infants forms the first
unethical behavior by Watson. The APA code requires psychologists to ensure justice, integrity,
respect for people s rights and dignity, responsibility and fidelity, and beneficence and non
maleficence. The experiment is unethical as most of the activities did not practice justice and integrity
to the involved human subject.
The Little Albert experiment was conducted to underline the methods to an unlimited extent. Beneath
the research among John Watson, and Rosalie Rayner s Little Albert there were many controversy
behaviors linked to the code of ethics. During the controversial psychological study conducted the
experiment among a nine month old child; Albert little, and Watson. The experiment was based on the
emotional behavior of fear by Pavlov. He pursued to reveal how human being stimulus to the
emotional responses of fear by contact. In 1920, the study by Watson exposed a 9 month baby; Albert

Argumentative Essay On Food Stamps
Food Stamp of Approval Everyone is guilty of judging another person at some point in his or her life
whether they realize it or not. For instance, if you see a child screaming uncontrollably in Wal Mart,
you might think his parents didn t raise him in a correct way. Society makes it so easy to criticize
others between all the tabloids and articles on social media. While criticizing others may be easy, we
all know it is wrong. While the problem remains in our judgement of the people around us, the
solution centers around tolerance and equality. Because I am a cashier at Town Country, I see many
different people come into the familiar regularly. It is my job to treat customers with utmost respect
while they are shopping there. However, I sometimes tend to silently disprove of some people due to
their payment methods. Most states offer food stamps to people who need some financial assistance.
Food stamps allow people to buy strictly food items without using their own money. The initial
purpose of food stamps is simply to provide help for those families who qualify for the program.
Although food stamps are meant to assist those in need, some individuals tend to abuse the system.
That infuriates the taxpayers in the United States. Taxpayers get frustrated when individuals on food
stamps come in and buy very expensive or unhealthy groceries. The taxpayers then think their money
is being used to support an individual s unhealthy eating habits.
Society has twisted the meaning

The Cauchy Stress Principle
The Cauchy stress principle is one of the main hypotheses in mechanics of solids. The study of linear
and nonlinear wave processes is very important. Elastic waves are high performance instrument to
research strained and deformed state of solids an also to study their structure and properties. Elastic
waves can propagate deeply inside the material without disturbing the material state. The elasto
dynamic problem is a challenging predicament to the modern material scientists. In the last twenty
years the concept of structural deformation levels obtained the recognition in physics of solids and
especially in the science of materials [Panin (1995)]. According to which the concept, each point of a
solid body is a complex system of interacting structures of lower level. In the present work
elastodynamic problem of in elastic solids and the finite deformation in such materials are studied
analytically and investigated the process of wave propagation in the solid.
The elastic solid is assumed as a heterogeneous medium which is homogenized and then applied the
principle of anisotropic expansion to suppress the effects of anisotropy. Due to homogenization the
nonlinear effects are resulted, these non linear effects should be suppressed in the material to clearly
understand the wave propagation in an elastic solid. To investigate the wave propagation in such a
material a thorough study of the internal force and its distribution is to be expected, the action of all

Descriptive Essay Beach
Have you ever had everything before you play out in slow motion, where you are aware of everything
around you, yet don t knowing what is going on? I have. In the movies, when someone is drowning, it
s loud and splashy, someone yelling for help and waving their arms, they are dipping below the harsh
currents of the waves and coming back up in a dramatic fashion while those who are standing by
scramble to rescue them. Yeah, it doesn t really go down like that. Drowning is silent, movements are
subtle; they rarely make any noise at all. One minute, they re trying to keep their head above the
water, and then next minute, they re gone. What began as a simple day at beach became a near death

Arguments Against Influenza Vaccines
Vaccines have allowed humans to avoid contracting terrible diseases for over 200 years now, but are
these same vaccines that are meant to help actually hurting us? Influenza kills more people in the
United States than any other vaccine preventable disease (Immunization Partnership), 1.5 million
children die from vaccine preventable diseases every year (Children s Hospital) and 3,000 to 6,000
people develop Guillain Barre Syndrome each year on average (CDC). There are billions of people in
this world who need to be protected from everyday viruses. Scientists have come up with a way to
avoid contracting many diseases, but many of these vaccines lead to more problems that threaten our
health. Scientists and doctors need to ensure that enough is being done to prevent vaccinations from

Participaative Leadership And Authoritarian Government
A leader, at least according to a Google search, is a person who commands a group, organization, or
country. This however is not true as leadership almost transcends just giving orders. Leadership
requires knowledge and charisma to properly pull it off along with some way of being bonded to your
people (either by totalitarian government or by a complete anarchy). Leadership is something else,
though I don t know quite yet. To lead, you ve got your choice of not one but three different leadership
styles; Participative, Delegative, and Authoritarian. Participative is where the leader, played by you,
asks your subordinates what to do, though you still have the final say over what is done. A good
example of a participative leadership is a democracy; as the president asks the people and

Delegative is where your still top dog but you have other employees look over certain sections in your
place. A great example of this is with the Roman Empire, as they had local leaders serve in place of
the overall emperor but had to answer to the emperor themselves. Authoritarian is the easiest to do and
explain (at least on paper), simply put, all the power is yours and you don t have to ask anyone or
share it. The best real world example would be a dictatorship (like Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, and Kim
Jong Un s family) as the leader there has absolute power without any question or feedback.
What I m going to attempt here to retell the story of a man who lead a broken nation back to power, a

Annotated Bibliography On Disease During The Elizabethan Era
Annotated Bibliography on disease in the Elizabethan Era. Summary: The site explains what diseases
were common during the Elizabethan era. It also explains why they were affected by said diseases so
much. It also says why people didn t live very long because all of the diseases were common.
Evaluation: This site is a okay site for learning what diseases there were during the Elizabethan era,
and why they were so common. Even though it was written by a student, it is still an okay source of
information. But it doesn t have a lot of information. Reflection: I think this site would be helpful for
knowing what illnesses there were in the Elizabethan era and what made them so common. I wouldn t
use it as my only source, though. I d make sure it s correct with other sources that are more reliable. ...

Evaluation: This site is great for learning what doctors did during Elizabethan times. It tells about
what doctors did to patients, what they thought happened to them, and even what they wore. It also is
good for learning about how people became sick during that time. It also has a few links I can use to
research more on this topic. There s no mention of the credentials of the author, but it s a solid source
overall. Reflection: I think that this site would be helpful for knowing what practices doctors used for
certain ailments, and how people got sick during the time. I could also be useful for knowing why
doctors did what they did back then. Summary: This site tells about the worst diseases during the
Elizabethan era and what their symptoms were. I even has quotes from Shakespeare s work that talk
about the diseases mentioned in this site. It also shares how people got the disease and who it affected

Revenge In Hamlet
Hamlet is one of the most influential and time withstanding plays of all time. Created by William
Shakespeare, Hamlet dabbles with the concepts of deceit, revenge, and death. Hamlet, the protagonist
in Hamlet, is confronted with the challenge of taking part in revenge for his father s death, but he often
finds himself lacking in taking action. Friedrich Nietzsche, a German philosopher, accounts this lack
of action for something far deeper than what lies on the surface. He construes that Hamlet is burdened
with the knowledge that death triumphs over all being. What kills Hamlet s action is knowing that
what lies in everyone s path is death and that since we all die there is no point in correcting your
earthly state, in Hamlet s case: getting revenge. This explanation for Hamlet s delay, however, is not
fully represented throughout the play. Hamlet has his bouts of hope and prevalently believes in taking
revenge. However, it s in his subconscious that Nietzsche s statement holds true. Hamlet, fueled by his
cynicism, slowly finds himself falling deeper into this state of depression throughout the play. The
farther he falls down this rabbit hole, the clearer his understandings shine through from the beginning
of the play. Hamlet s mind is clouded with grief when he is first introduced. He likens everything of
this earth as weary, stale, flat, and unprofitable (I.ii.132), as if the mere thought of being on this earth
is useless. Hamlet from the get go, in his

The Outer Banks Of North Carolina
Out of all the places in the world to visit, one might consider the Outer Banks of North Carolina with
the vast grassy nature preserves to the warm sand between your fingers and toes. A good place to be
with me would be a week at the beach, a place of healing and relaxation. On the beach, you can live in
bliss. There are many beaches all over the world that people enjoy going to for different reasons;
however, the Outer Banks of North Carolina has vibrant beaches where people can enjoy their
vacations at any time of day.
Located about 330 miles south of New York City is the Outer Banks, there is much more to do than
just lay around on one of the many beautiful beaches. The Outer Banks are barrier islands off the coast
of the U.S. state of North Carolina, separating the Atlantic Ocean from the mainland. Their open sea
beaches, state parks and shipwreck diving sites make them a popular holiday destination. The Outer
Banks is a 200 mile long string of narrow peninsulas and barrier islands off the coast of North
Carolina and a small part of Virginia, beginning in the southeastern corner of Virginia Beach on the
east coast of the United States.
Reasons to visit the Outer Banks, in North Carolina would be the gorgeous beach, the wild horses and
the views of the historic lighthouses. In North Carolina, when the fresh breeze in the air hits you in the
early morning, then it s time to start the day. In the morning, the waves are slow and calm, rolling in
and out to the shore. The

Pros And Cons Of Graphic Design
If you or someone close to you have ever had any interest in the graphic design field, you have
probably faced the dilemma yourself or have seen them agonize over the decision to go to college.
Graphic design is a fairly new field, but especially in the past decade the career field has gained
momentum with the increasing improvements with technology and the need for logo branding,
advertisements, and web or app platform aesthetics. Some prefer to call the degree Mass
Communications or Digital Media because of the relation with Graphic Design as designing physical
media such as magazines, while more and more of our modern media is consumed digitally. The major
is usually a new program or class and becoming a very common major, however many famous graphic
designers, such as Alexey Brodovitch or Karen X. Cheng, decided not to attend or finish college
because their portfolio was impressive and they simply did not need to, or because of the cost. While a
degree in Graphic Design is an art degree that can almost guarantee you some type of job, it is still an
art degree. With inflation and tuition costs through the sky, 50K a semester for an art degree does not
seem like highway robbery, it absolutely can be.
So let s look at the pros for attending college for graphic design. If you or that friend or acquaintance
you know is like me, then you know the stress of making a portfolio. For those who do not know what
a portfolio quite is, it is basically the art equivalent of a resume.

Music Is The Most Popular Music
According to Oxford s dictionary, music is the vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in
such a way as to produce beauty of form harmony, and expression of emotion. Music has been around
for a very long time. Music has been an influenced since the beginning of time from the beats and
rhythm to just make a nice flow of a song. Music history is sometimes a historical viewpoint in
society. Besides, music is breaking down into five main categories: Jazz, Classical, Rhythm and Blues,
Pop, Rap, and Country. But, Rap music is the most popular music in today s society. In addition, being
that Rap music is popular, Rap music is also the most corrupted music now a day. So, how does music
influences positive and negative effects on people and society? Although, music has been around for
several years, there are so many differences and similarities in music; for instance, all music can be
related by old music that was made, or there is new music that is originated. The differences in music
is the many genres and its effects on people and the society. The cost of albums from the 1960 s to
today s music are much higher. Another difference in music is back in the 1960 s talent was a part of
music, but in today s music all you need is auto tunes. The similarities are that all music is alike in
some way. Also, that music may sound the same. For instance, Marvin Gaye s song Got to Give It Up
sounds similar to Robin Thicke s Blurred Lines , because I believe both songs give

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets Essay
When people watch or think of their favorite movie, they don t usually sit and analyze the underlying
philosophical themes within them. However, in reality, understanding the philosophical ideas is an
important aspect if someone wants to perceive the movie as a whole. So why do people not catch these
important aspects within their favorite movies? There could be many reasons, but the two most
prominent are that the viewers lack philosophical knowledge or the directors disguise these issues so
well they re almost impossible to notice. One of my favorite films, Harry Potter and the Chamber of
Secrets, contains many hidden philosophical themes I never detected in a multitude of previous
viewings. Although the movie contains multiple philosophical ideas, the most significantly recurring
philosophical theme is that there is strength within a community and in our relationships with others.
Furthermore, it is important to understand that our relationships with others can ultimately determine
our choices.
Before analyzing the severity of this philosophical theme, it is necessary to have a basic understanding
of the overall plot of this movie. The movie begins with the protagonist, Harry Potter, spending a
dreadful summer with his only surviving family, the Dursleys. During a dinner party, Harry is visited
by a house elf, Dobby. When Harry declines Dobby s warning to not return to Hogwarts, he turns the
dinner into a disaster. The enraged Dursley s lock Harry in his

Greed And Greed In The Gift Of The Magi
Greed and Charity
Greed is a selfish desire for more than is needed. Charity is the kindhearted goodwill toward or love of
humanity. Both terms are used to create central themes for the four stories we read in our english
class. All of these stories include characters that present greed or charity. In The Gift of the Magi, the
wife and the husband both gave up their prized possessions to get their significant other a gift. Since
the couple were poor and wanted to satisfy each other with a wonderful gift, they had to give up what
they never thought they would have before. I believe this shows charity in their relationship. They
both wanted the best of the best for each other and kindheartedly gave up whatever they had. Della,
the wife, asked someone to buy her long, silky, brown hair. Will you buy my hair? asked Della. I buy
hair, said Madame. Take yer hat off and let s have a sight at the looks of it. As you can see, the wife
sold her hair to buy her husband a gift which was a watch band for his watch. The husband then
revealed to his wife that he sold his watch to buy her a comb. In The Fisherman and His Wife, both
greed and charity are presented. The fisherman consisted of a lot of charity. He was willing to give his
wife whatever she wanted. The fisherman s wife had so much greed. She wanted more than she
already had. She was so greedy that she thought of herself to be just like God. The couple first owned
a pig stye of a house. From this,

Hamlets Oedipus Complex Essays
Various works of literature contain characters who embody the elements of the classic Oedipus
Complex, that of a son with an undue and unhealthy attachment to his mother. D.H Lawrence
amp;#8217;s Sons and Lovers, along with other early modernist works, shows how a son amp;#8217;s
bond to his mother can lead to that character amp;#8217;s major downfall. Even earlier than works of
the late 19th Century does the Oedipus Complex appear, in this case, William Shakespeare

Religion, Acceptance, And Social Change
Throughout time, the views of homosexuality throughout a country can change. Whether its religion,
acceptance, laws, or social change, the views will evolve. Greece serves as an example of a country
that was once accepting of homosexuality, but is slowly progressing to not be as accepting. In Ancient
Greece, homosexual relationships occurred regularly between an older man, and a younger child. As
stated on pbs.org, Traditionally these relationships involved an older man and a youth and lasted until
the youth reached full adulthood. Thereafter this type of relationship was frowned upon because
physical love was perceived as always involving one person in a position of submission, something
that was unacceptable for a full Greek citizen. In Ancient Greece, homosexuality wasn t much of an
issue because of gender, it was an issue based on age. The acceptance of homosexuality throughout
Ancient Greece has made a sharp turn in modern day Greece. Although there are currently no laws
against gay marriage, there are no laws that protect homosexuals. For example, households where the
main head is a homosexual couple s do not have the same rights to protection as compared to couples
that are heterosexual. Greece has experienced a turning point on their stance regarding homosexuality.
A concept that was once highly accepted and viewed as common is now beginning to be looked down
upon. Hate crime against homosexuals in Greece has begun to increase. As Fragkiska Megaloudi

Dinosaurs In Juvenile Persuasive Speech
Vicious Reptile terrorises school
As unusual as it seems, dinosaurs are back, and are back for good. Disaster has struck Brisbane once
again. Investigated by Maya Cumming.
Dinosaurs are reoccurring in Brisbane
Have you ever wondered how the world would be like if dinosaurs came back to life? Or how people
would react? Well, early Monday morning on May 31st 2017, a Tyrannosaurs Rex changed people s
lives by killing 33 innocent people including young school children.
The police claimed responsibility after the dreadful incident at Blossom Hill High School (BHHS).
This is by far the worst terrorist attack Brisbane has experienced.
There were 50 taken to hospital and 55 others treated at the scene.
The traumatised witnesses have stated that the vicious reptile has torn down the entire school, leaving
over millions of pieces scattered across school grounds.
Classrooms left ripped apart and school buses been squashed to the ground.
Some school students at the incident ran for their lives, while others were shocked and whipped out
their phones to record the outrageous event. Tyrannosaurs Rex large, vicious reptile hovered over the
school for over one hour, taking down everything in its sight.
The school yard, which was usually bursting out with happiness and laughter, was now as still as the
night sky.
The unforgettable incident occurred at 10:23 am, when all you could hear were the sounds of
buildings crashing down and screaming
A few minutes later everything was wiped out completely. After the dinosaur roamed around the
school, the police captured the dinosaur for further examination.
Surprisingly, some survived after the awful episode. Andrew Smith, was a survivor who captured this
image of the dinosaur. He and 3 other staff members of (BHHS) survived and witnessed the whole
attack.
(Tyrannosaurs Rex wandering around Blossom Hill High School.)
Andrew 29 said, I heard lots of screaming from across the hall. The next thing I saw is something I
will never forget. It was a dinosaur peering over me. He started to stomp and crush all the buildings
surrounding us
I was honestly so petrified. I yelled at the remanding students to run.

Hiroshima Essay examples
Hiroshima The stories and events that unfold in John Hersey s, Hiroshima, have certainly been eye
openers for me. As a child in middle school and high school I, we have all heard of the atomic bomb
and of course of Hiroshima, but never in as much detail or on such a personal level as these stories.
Not even in chemistry or physics class, where I learned some of the specifics as to how the bomb
works, had I known of the destructive force of the bomb or it s gruesome effects on human beings. As
I mentioned before, this book was quite an eye opener for me because it has taught me just how
deadly nuclear weapons can be not only on material properties, but on human beings, and why nuclear
weapons must never again be used is such a way. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first story of the book we hear is that of the Reverend Tanimoto. He is dropping off some goods at
a friend s house for safekeeping some 3,500 yards, or two miles, away from the center of the
explosion and that house crumbles to the ground from the force of the blast. That seems so amazing to
me because in such a huge city, most of the time, you cannot even see two miles away. It may be
difficult for most people to appreciate the force of a bomb that can destroy something two miles away,
but most airplane bombs only destroy things within about 100 yards. That would be everything within
a football field completely wiped out, now imagine something that could level everything within 35
football fields!
The book also accounts just how much pressure the bomb exerted and how hot the bomb blast was
according to scientists of the time. These were two other awesome statistics. The pressure of the blast
was estimated to be somewhere between 5.3 to 8 tons per square yard. A yard is slightly larger than a
person s arm and most people cannot lift more than a hundred pounds on one arm. Imagine having
over 10,000 pounds, or five tons, of pressure being exerted on your arms? It s almost unbelievable.
The heat given off by the blast is just as astonishing a number as the pressure. There was evidence that
clay tiles, whose melting point is thirteen times hotter than that of the boiling point of water, had

Similarities Between The Inferno And The Odyssey
An epic is a long narrative poem that relates the great deeds of a larger than life hero who embodies
the values of a particular society. A comedy is a literary genre and a type of dramatic work that starts
off with an unpleasant scenario and ends up with a happy ending. The Odyssey, by Homer, and The
Inferno, by Dante Alighieri, are both comedic epics because they both start off with very distasteful
events and end happily, has a broad setting that includes supernatural realms such as the Underworld,
and gods, plus some other supernaturals, become involved in the character s journey. The undesirable

How Employee Empowerment Is The Most Important Resource...
Literature Review
Organizations need their employees to feel like they are a part of the family in order for them to
perform well and become an asset to the organization which is related to them feeling empowered. An
employee is the most important resource for any company. How employees are treated and how much
they value the company will have an impact on the overall company s performance. Empowerment
refers to a process in which a manager shares power with a subordinate. The dictionary s definition of
empowerment is to give someone the authority to do something. Employee empowerment is the
process of enabling an employee to think, behave, act, react and control their work in more
autonomous ways as to be in control of one s destiny. Employee empowerment is a motivational
technique that is designed to improve performance if managed properly through increased levels of
employee s participation and self determination (Veccho, 1995). Blanchard et al. (1996) for instance
argued that that empowerment is not only having the freedom to act, but also having higher degree of
responsibility and accountability. It has to deal with creating a working environment where an
employee is allowed to make his own decisions in specific work related situations (Fryer 2012).
According to Herzberg 1968, empowering employees had a link between job enrichment and
employee participation. By empowering employees, leaders and managers have the freedom to
dedicate their time to more important matters

Adolf Hitler And The Nazi Party
In 1933, Adolf Hitler was legally named chancellor of Germany by President Paul von Hindenburg. In
the following years, Hitler would take power as Führer and the Nazi party would create laws that
pretty much allowed them to kill eleven million people. While the anti semitic laws and the laws
against undesirables were horrible, they were still laws. The truth of the matter was that Hitler
belonged to the Nazi party and it was a legitimate political party with a substantial following; and their
laws were enacted legally. In this essay, I will explain how both Hart s and Fuller s theories play into
why I believe that the Nazis had laws. It begins with Hart s idea of a sovereign body enacting
legitimate laws and the complexity of the people following despite the immorality of the laws and
ends with the laws becoming nullified as they lose respect. I will also address the idea that the Nazi s
power didn t have legitimate laws because they went against laws that came before them. Hart, often
credited as being the father of modern legal positivism , built his ideas off the legal positivists who
came before him: Jeremy Bentham and John Austin. Hart took their ideas and softened their especially
Austin s harder, more cynical view that laws were purely followed because of a the threat coming
from a reigning power. Hart argued that laws were more complex than that. He believed that the
incentives, negative or positive, put forth by the ruling power was only part of the

Effects Of Rms On The Weekly Calls
As RMS continues to indicate, based on our observations and more importantly on the review of
assets during our weekly calls with Altisource, RMS continues to believe on many of these assets, the
condition or location of the property is the primary driver behind not only the large reduction in list
price, but ultimately a sales price well below the initial list price, all of which contribute to extended
days on market and an increase in carrying costs incurred by the Trust. We believe one of the
contributors to this relates to the Altisource process where the listing agent is not local to the property
and typically has not personally visited the asset to assess the condition, the location, drive by the
comps and generally may not be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because Altisource cannot be directed to set the list price of an asset, RMS attempts to get Altisource
to recognize assets that are listed too high and to make appropriate adjustments that will generate
activity and offers.
RMS continues to review assets where we believe the list price set by Altisource is high relative to our
opinion of market value. On listed assets with DOM of more than 60 days, RMS and Altisource
discuss the list price and agent feedback to understand why purchase offers have not been received.
RMS targets these assets for review every 2 weeks.
Another recent observation is an increase in the number of assets in pending contract that fall out
because the buyer fails to return the purchase agreement. This trend has continued to increase over the
past several months. Although Altisource does not provide statistics regarding overall fallout, RMS
has seen an increase based on our observations and the weekly calls. We believe this relates to the
process by which Altisource sells REO assets (on the HUBZU website), where there is no economic
penalty to the bidder if they place an offer on a property but fail to deliver an executed purchase
agreement (similar to what would happen in a traditional sale transaction). In addition, we believe the
lack of agent to agent contact and knowledge of whether a buyer visits the property prior to making an
offer also play a role in the increased fallout. Altisource reports

  • 2. An Passive Activity Loss Rules Introduction For persons dealing with real estate property, the use of the aggregation election to meet the material participation test may have a significant impact on their tax liability. There is a lot of confusion surrounding this topic for taxpayers, CPAs, and lawyers alike. A thorough understanding of the mechanics and the advantages and disadvantages of the real estate professional s use of the aggregation election to meet the material participation test is crucial for any persons dealing with real estate property. The Internal Revenue Code (referenced later as IRC or the Code ) separates all income/loss into three categories: (1) Active income/loss, (2) Portfolio income, and (3) Passive income/loss. Due to the government s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Active income/loss v. Passive income/loss In order to properly understand why a taxpayer would rather have active income/loss versus passive income/loss, one must first understand the differences between these two types of income/losses and how they are treated for tax purposes. A trade or businesses is considered a passive activity according to the IRC if the taxpayer does not materially participate in that respective trade or business. Any income or loss derived from the passive activity is to be treated as passive income/loss. Additionally the Code automatically classifies income/loss from most rental activities as passive, regardless of whether the taxpayer materially participated or not. Net losses generated from passive activities cannot offset income from portfolio or active income. If a taxpayer s passive activities result in net income, then the income must be reported, but if they result in a net loss then the loss must be suspended until they generate passive income to offset the loss. Inversely, active income/loss is any income derived from wages and profit or loss from a trade or business where the taxpayer materially participated in the corresponding tax year. Active income/loss is more attractive than passive income/loss to a taxpayer is that net active losses are fully deductible in the corresponding taxable year, rather than having to be suspended until it can be offset by ... • 3. Essay about The Problem of God in Devils and The Brothers... The Problem of God in Devils and The Brothers Karamazov In contemplating the creation of the novel The Idiot, Dostoyevsky wrote in a letter to A.N. Maikov that he hoped to focus the work around a question with which I have been tormented, consciously or unconsciously all my life that is, the existence of God. 1 Dostoyevsky s personal struggle with the question of faith, and also his own experience with trying doubts as a believer, are manifested in the characters he writes. A large number of Dostoyevsky s books are written within the framework of a Christian doctrine, juxtaposing characterizations of believers and non believers, enforcing the ultimate good and reason that follow from possessing a faith. Dostoyevsky also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Moreover, these childhood associations seem to have strongly imprinted upon his mind, This book [the book of Job] Anna [his wife], it s strange is one of the first which made an impression on me in life, I was just then only a little boy. 5 While a large portion of Dostoyevsky s nurturing seems to have occurred in a Christian nest, he was also exposed to the harsh qualities possessed by man. His father was, though reverent, a drunk, and was later murdered by serfs on account of his inhumane treatment.6 This rougher sphere of his upbringing manifested itself in Dostoyevsky s early adulthood. He became involved in a group known as the Russian Utopian Socialists, influenced by Belinsky, a well known literary critic. The partnership formed by the two presumably shook Dostoyevsky s faith, as his revered mentor found that as a socialist, he had to destroy Christianity in the first place. He knew that the revolution must necessarily begin with atheism. 7 Later, though, Dostoyevsky broke off from the specific branch of the movement, forming the Durov circle. He was arrested for the circulation of a private letter full of insolent expressions against the Orthodox Church. 8 Evidently, he had forgotten his mother s teachings. While in prison (where the only book allowed was The Bible) it appears Dostoyevsky began to reemerge as a believer, writing in a letter to Mrs. N.D. Fonvizin: I believe that there ... • 4. Essay on Conscience of Queen Gertrude in Shakespeare s... The Conscience of the Queen William Shakespeare s play Hamlet is perhaps one of his most intriguing and scandalous pieces of work. One character who is liable for much of this excitement and outrage is Hamlet s mother, Queen Gertrude. To some readers and critics, Gertrude is conceived as an erratic, superficial and sensual woman. Others discern the Queen as an earnest, intellectual and sagacious woman whose tragic fault is her yearning for sexual satisfaction. Throughout the text, there are several legitimate arguments for both sides, but in the end, Hamlet seems to sum up the Queen s true persona with the words Frailty, thy name is woman . Evidence of Gertrude s true nature can be found in many instances through out the play such ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hamlet s conflict with Gertrude is a main part of this play. A few characters in this play give insight on Gertrude that point in the direction of her being shallow and evil. One example is late in the first act when Hamlet cries O most pernicious woman! O villain, villain, smiling, dammed villain! This is when, deep in thought, Hamlet realizes that his mother could have possibly taken part in his father s death and he thinks she s evil. In Hamlet s head, everything makes sense now because it is now understandable how she got over the death so quickly. This is the first time that Hamlet realizes his mother s true character. This is a very imperative notion about Gertrude s personality because for her very own son to think a validation like this is extreme. Often times a man will love and defend his mother until the day he dies, while Hamlet, on the other hand, is thinking of her playing a role in his father s death. When the ghost speaks of Gertrude s speedy marriage, it provides more evidence of her shallowness. The King s ghost says that she is seeming virtuous . He is basically saying that while she looks holy and righteous, she isn t. The new King offered her something (or many things) that she wanted, and she took the bait and married him. She didn t care that her husband had just died, or how her son would react to this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Evelyn Waugh s Vile Bodies Evelyn Waugh lived in the time of the World Wars, which greatly influenced his writing and the actions of his characters. People were affected by WWI in multiple ways. They often suffered a lack of confidence in themselves and in the state of the world. In Vile Bodies, Evelyn Waugh s characters often misuse and take advantage of technology, which helps to depict the loss of identity and emotional connection in the wake of World War I. Technology demonstrated a disconnect, particularly an emotional disconnect between Adam and some of the other characters. Adam and Nina s relationship ends over a phone call, which could have been read in a very monotone manner. Nina calls Adam up, I m engaged to be married. I don t believe it. [...] Well, I am. That s all there is to it. [...] I see. Well? I said, I see (260). Adam should feel more betrayed, he should show more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The telephone is known for downplaying the context of conversation and the loss of personal touch, just like modern day cellular phones have the ability to text, which is an even more extreme example of a lack of personality. Their relationship had already been lacking a physical disconnect, but the lack of closeness on the telephone also demonstrated a widening emotional gap. The emotional gap is representative of the loss of identity which is caused by the strain that was put on their generation after WWI. The telephone was also a way to spread information faster than if one would have to travel by foot or write their news through a letter. For a brief time period Adam worked as one of the gossip writers for the paper. Lord Balcairn was another one of the gossip writers and he said, I ve just telephoned my story through (61). • 6. The United States Supreme Court Decisions As a student or professional in the criminal justice field, one will undoubtedly cross paths with the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. (U.S. Const. amend. IV) The source of many United States Supreme Court decisions, these often debated words seek to protect citizens against abuses of power by the government. Although the intent of these few words are clear, the debate stems from the attempts to interpret the intent of the framers. Three major interpretations have been developed from the debates surrounding the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. These interpretations are the warrant approach, the reasonableness approach and the special needs approach. We will begin by discussing the warrant approach which is also the traditional approach to interpret the Fourth Amendment. The warrant approach focused on limiting valid searches to those done with a warrant based on probable cause (Bacigal, 1979). This meant that in order for a search to be valid under the Fourth Amendment there had to be judicial approval in advance of the search except when justified by absolute necessity (Stelzner, 1979). • 7. The Argument For And Against The Labour Movement Assignment 3 Angela Holdbrook Athabasca University 2959254 Question 1: What are the arguments for and against reframing labour rights as human rights? Demonstrate your familiarity with the discussion set out in the course materials. Introduction The publication of the Unfair Advantage by the Worker s Freedom of Association [this is not in your list of references. Where is it found?] in the United States saw a major turn on Human Rights watch in the Labour ministry all over the world. Countries such as Canada and Australia came into the lime light in the fight for labour struggles as human rights. [explain] This move [what move?] was aimed at revitalization of the labour movement. It is a move that saw the International Human Rights Day declared a holiday [where?] as it is does Labour Day. The advocates on the human rights approach work hand in hand with the human rights allies of the inexorable internationalization of the labour struggles.[source?] They allowed the naming and shaming of the labour laws abusers and infringement. These acts were more responsive to the current political and economic zeitgeist than the traditional labour influences. On the other hand, reframing of human rights was seen to result to authoritativeness to the labour discourse that would undermine trade unionists. [explain] While the voices of those advocating for the framing of human rights was loud enough, others saw this move as misplaced. It was a fact that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Suv And Crossover Vehicles Of Cars SUV and Crossover vehicles are starting to take over the US car market. 2016 is the year of the SUV and pickup truck. Each month the car sales share of the market slips a bit (NPR, 2016). This means that sales of your average car are starting to slip. If you pay attention while driving down the road you may notice this. I believe there are several reasons why this is starting to be the case. SUVs and Crossover vehicles sit higher than an average commuter or luxury car. They tend to have more space inside for passengers and cargo. They are starting to rival the fuel economy of cars. Four wheel drive is a feature available to all of them. Now before I get started I said SUVs and Crossovers. While these two types of vehicles are broadly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is especially true if a person has to commute long distances to work. A new study by TrueCar.com finds tooling around in a small SUV is no longer that wasteful. The sales weighted fuel economy average is only 2 miles per gallon apart (26.83 mpg SUV vs. 28.84 mpg sedan) SUV owners typically will pay only another $3 more tankful to fill up their SUV compared to a sedan. (USA Today, 2015). Granted those numbers are for a Crossover, However manufactures like Nissan and RAM Trucks are starting to place small diesel engines in half ton trucks in order to gain fuel economy without sacrificing payload capability. RAM is claiming to make up to 29 MPG with their small diesel (I was not able to find fuel economy numbers for the Nissan engine). So it is likely fair to assume that it is only a matter of time before traditional SUVs get engines of that type. Height is also an apparent factor in the purchase of these vehicles. People reportedly like the fact that they sit higher than an average car. It gives people the feeling that they have command of the road . As someone that drives a full size truck I can confirm that being able to see over the car(s) in front of you does give you a certain commanding feeling. Driving a low sitting sedan just feels like you are dragging your backside across the pavement. However I think there may be more to the height factor. The Five Characteristics Of A Good President Presidents are very important to the country, but the 3 most important requirement to become a president of the United States include, being the age of 35, a natural born citizen and a resident within the United States for 14 years. When looking at the American history today and trying to figure out the best one, it is important to look at individual traits that make a good president. For example, some presidents were loved by the public but barely made any accomplishment in the office while on the other hand some presidents made massive accomplishments for the economy and the country but were overlooked with disregard. The five important traits for a good president are Intelligence/ wisdom, honesty, leadership quality, respecting and hard working. Intelligence also known as wisdom means having the quality of experience, knowledge, and good judgment to make great decisions. Intelligence and wisdom are important due to various reasons. Firstly, a president must know every criteria and should be very knowledgeable regarding his job. Also, presidents are people who make decisions and judge for the ... The president should not lie to his people; he should also be honest to other countries for alliances and unions and without the alliance the country might suffer and not be well known. Grace Nichols is showing that the island mans first home is the Caribbean. the steady breaking and wombing. The word wombing is a made up word by the writer. It has many associations but it makes us the readers imagine a place of comfort and security but more importantly a sense of home and belonging. The reason why this image is put in to the readers mind is because babies grow in the mothers womb, so we could say that the womb is everyone s first home . The scene is also revealed as precious to the island man. small emerald island portrays that the island is an emerald. An emerald is very hard to get and in many cases people could only dream of getting one. The writer uses a technique called a metaphor. The reason why the writer uses this technique is because it allows the reader to imagine the scene better. For example the writer compares an emerald with the island . Emeralds can be green this then represents green tress and most islands usually have a lot of trees. Grace Nichols describes the sun as a positive image. the sun surfacing defiantly makes the reader picture an image of the sun climbing in to the sky. The word defiantly allows the sun to stand out. sun surfacing defiantly could also represent that he doesn t want the sun to rise, he just wants to lye here in his small island and just relax but know matter what he does the sun still rises. Elastic waves are high performance instrument to research strained and deformed state of solids an also to study their structure and properties. Elastic waves can propagate deeply inside the material without disturbing the material state. The elasto dynamic problem is a challenging predicament to the modern material scientists. In the last twenty years the concept of structural deformation levels obtained the recognition in physics of solids and especially in the science of materials [Panin (1995)]. The elastic solid is assumed as a heterogeneous medium which is homogenized and then applied the principle of anisotropic expansion to suppress the effects of anisotropy. Due to homogenization the nonlinear effects are resulted, these non linear effects should be suppressed in the material to clearly understand the wave propagation in an elastic solid. • 23. Revenge In Hamlet Hamlet is one of the most influential and time withstanding plays of all time. Created by William Shakespeare, Hamlet dabbles with the concepts of deceit, revenge, and death. Hamlet, the protagonist in Hamlet, is confronted with the challenge of taking part in revenge for his father s death, but he often finds himself lacking in taking action. Friedrich Nietzsche, a German philosopher, accounts this lack of action for something far deeper than what lies on the surface. He construes that Hamlet is burdened with the knowledge that death triumphs over all being. What kills Hamlet s action is knowing that what lies in everyone s path is death and that since we all die there is no point in correcting your earthly state, in Hamlet s case: getting revenge. This explanation for Hamlet s delay, however, is not fully represented throughout the play. Hamlet has his bouts of hope and prevalently believes in taking revenge. However, it s in his subconscious that Nietzsche s statement holds true. Hamlet, fueled by his cynicism, slowly finds himself falling deeper into this state of depression throughout the play. The farther he falls down this rabbit hole, the clearer his understandings shine through from the beginning of the play. Hamlet s mind is clouded with grief when he is first introduced. He likens everything of this earth as weary, stale, flat, and unprofitable (I.ii.132), as if the mere thought of being on this earth is useless. Hamlet from the get go, in his ... Music history is sometimes a historical viewpoint in society. Besides, music is breaking down into five main categories: Jazz, Classical, Rhythm and Blues, Pop, Rap, and Country. There could be many reasons, but the two most prominent are that the viewers lack philosophical knowledge or the directors disguise these issues so well they re almost impossible to notice. Both terms are used to create central themes for the four stories we read in our english class. All of these stories include characters that present greed or charity. In The Gift of the Magi, the wife and the husband both gave up their prized possessions to get their significant other a gift. Since the couple were poor and wanted to satisfy each other with a wonderful gift, they had to give up what they never thought they would have before. I believe this shows charity in their relationship. They both wanted the best of the best for each other and kindheartedly gave up whatever they had. Della, the wife, asked someone to buy her long, silky, brown hair. Will you buy my hair? asked Della. I buy hair, said Madame. Take yer hat off and let s have a sight at the looks of it. As you can see, the wife sold her hair to buy her husband a gift which was a watch band for his watch. The husband then revealed to his wife that he sold his watch to buy her a comb. In The Fisherman and His Wife, both greed and charity are presented. The fisherman consisted of a lot of charity. He was willing to give his wife whatever she wanted. Whether its religion, acceptance, laws, or social change, the views will evolve. Greece serves as an example of a country that was once accepting of homosexuality, but is slowly progressing to not be as accepting. In Ancient Greece, homosexual relationships occurred regularly between an older man, and a younger child. As stated on pbs.org, Traditionally these relationships involved an older man and a youth and lasted until the youth reached full adulthood. Thereafter this type of relationship was frowned upon because physical love was perceived as always involving one person in a position of submission, something that was unacceptable for a full Greek citizen. • 35. Dinosaurs In Juvenile Persuasive Speech Vicious Reptile terrorises school As unusual as it seems, dinosaurs are back, and are back for good. Disaster has struck Brisbane once again. Investigated by Maya Cumming. Dinosaurs are reoccurring in Brisbane Have you ever wondered how the world would be like if dinosaurs came back to life? Or how people would react? Well, early Monday morning on May 31st 2017, a Tyrannosaurs Rex changed people s lives by killing 33 innocent people including young school children. The police claimed responsibility after the dreadful incident at Blossom Hill High School (BHHS). This is by far the worst terrorist attack Brisbane has experienced. There were 50 taken to hospital and 55 others treated at the scene. The traumatised witnesses have stated that the vicious reptile has torn down the entire school, leaving over millions of pieces scattered across school grounds. Classrooms left ripped apart and school buses been squashed to the ground. Some school students at the incident ran for their lives, while others were shocked and whipped out their phones to record the outrageous event. Tyrannosaurs Rex large, vicious reptile hovered over the school for over one hour, taking down everything in its sight. The school yard, which was usually bursting out with happiness and laughter, was now as still as the night sky. The unforgettable incident occurred at 10:23 am, when all you could hear were the sounds of buildings crashing down and screaming A few minutes later everything was wiped out completely. After the dinosaur roamed around the school, the police captured the dinosaur for further examination. Surprisingly, some survived after the awful episode. Andrew Smith, was a survivor who captured this image of the dinosaur. He and 3 other staff members of (BHHS) survived and witnessed the whole attack. (Tyrannosaurs Rex wandering around Blossom Hill High School.) Andrew 29 said, I heard lots of screaming from across the hall. The next thing I saw is something I will never forget. • 36. Hiroshima Essay examples Hiroshima The stories and events that unfold in John Hersey s, Hiroshima, have certainly been eye openers for me. As a child in middle school and high school I, we have all heard of the atomic bomb and of course of Hiroshima, but never in as much detail or on such a personal level as these stories. Not even in chemistry or physics class, where I learned some of the specifics as to how the bomb works, had I known of the destructive force of the bomb or it s gruesome effects on human beings. As I mentioned before, this book was quite an eye opener for me because it has taught me just how deadly nuclear weapons can be not only on material properties, but on human beings, and why nuclear weapons must never again be used is such a way. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first story of the book we hear is that of the Reverend Tanimoto. He is dropping off some goods at a friend s house for safekeeping some 3,500 yards, or two miles, away from the center of the explosion and that house crumbles to the ground from the force of the blast. That seems so amazing to me because in such a huge city, most of the time, you cannot even see two miles away. It may be difficult for most people to appreciate the force of a bomb that can destroy something two miles away, but most airplane bombs only destroy things within about 100 yards. That would be everything within a football field completely wiped out, now imagine something that could level everything within 35 football fields! The book also accounts just how much pressure the bomb exerted and how hot the bomb blast was according to scientists of the time. These were two other awesome statistics. The pressure of the blast was estimated to be somewhere between 5.3 to 8 tons per square yard. A yard is slightly larger than a person s arm and most people cannot lift more than a hundred pounds on one arm. Imagine having over 10,000 pounds, or five tons, of pressure being exerted on your arms? It s almost unbelievable. The heat given off by the blast is just as astonishing a number as the pressure. There was evidence that clay tiles, whose melting point is thirteen times hotter than that of the boiling point of water, had ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A comedy is a literary genre and a type of dramatic work that starts off with an unpleasant scenario and ends up with a happy ending. The Odyssey, by Homer, and The Inferno, by Dante Alighieri, are both comedic epics because they both start off with very distasteful events and end happily, has a broad setting that includes supernatural realms such as the Underworld, and gods, plus some other supernaturals, become involved in the character s journey. The undesirable beginning that The Odyssey starts off with, which is the comedy s distinctive, is that people think Odysseus is dead or lost somewhere, but ... • 38. How Employee Empowerment Is The Most Important Resource... Literature Review Organizations need their employees to feel like they are a part of the family in order for them to perform well and become an asset to the organization which is related to them feeling empowered. An employee is the most important resource for any company. How employees are treated and how much they value the company will have an impact on the overall company s performance. Empowerment refers to a process in which a manager shares power with a subordinate. The dictionary s definition of empowerment is to give someone the authority to do something. Employee empowerment is the process of enabling an employee to think, behave, act, react and control their work in more autonomous ways as to be in control of one s destiny. Employee empowerment is a motivational technique that is designed to improve performance if managed properly through increased levels of employee s participation and self determination (Veccho, 1995). Blanchard et al. (1996) for instance argued that that empowerment is not only having the freedom to act, but also having higher degree of responsibility and accountability. It has to deal with creating a working environment where an employee is allowed to make his own decisions in specific work related situations (Fryer 2012). According to Herzberg 1968, empowering employees had a link between job enrichment and employee participation. By empowering employees, leaders and managers have the freedom to dedicate their time to more important matters ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Adolf Hitler And The Nazi Party In 1933, Adolf Hitler was legally named chancellor of Germany by President Paul von Hindenburg. In the following years, Hitler would take power as Führer and the Nazi party would create laws that pretty much allowed them to kill eleven million people. While the anti semitic laws and the laws against undesirables were horrible, they were still laws. The truth of the matter was that Hitler belonged to the Nazi party and it was a legitimate political party with a substantial following; and their laws were enacted legally. In this essay, I will explain how both Hart s and Fuller s theories play into why I believe that the Nazis had laws. It begins with Hart s idea of a sovereign body enacting legitimate laws and the complexity of the people following despite the immorality of the laws and ends with the laws becoming nullified as they lose respect. I will also address the idea that the Nazi s power didn t have legitimate laws because they went against laws that came before them. Hart, often credited as being the father of modern legal positivism , built his ideas off the legal positivists who came before him: Jeremy Bentham and John Austin. Hart took their ideas and softened their especially Austin s harder, more cynical view that laws were purely followed because of a the threat coming from a reigning power. Hart argued that laws were more complex than that. He believed that the incentives, negative or positive, put forth by the ruling power was only part of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. Effects Of Rms On The Weekly Calls As RMS continues to indicate, based on our observations and more importantly on the review of assets during our weekly calls with Altisource, RMS continues to believe on many of these assets, the condition or location of the property is the primary driver behind not only the large reduction in list price, but ultimately a sales price well below the initial list price, all of which contribute to extended days on market and an increase in carrying costs incurred by the Trust. We believe one of the contributors to this relates to the Altisource process where the listing agent is not local to the property and typically has not personally visited the asset to assess the condition, the location, drive by the comps and generally may not be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because Altisource cannot be directed to set the list price of an asset, RMS attempts to get Altisource to recognize assets that are listed too high and to make appropriate adjustments that will generate activity and offers. RMS continues to review assets where we believe the list price set by Altisource is high relative to our opinion of market value. On listed assets with DOM of more than 60 days, RMS and Altisource discuss the list price and agent feedback to understand why purchase offers have not been received. RMS targets these assets for review every 2 weeks. Another recent observation is an increase in the number of assets in pending contract that fall out because the buyer fails to return the purchase agreement. This trend has continued to increase over the past several months. Although Altisource does not provide statistics regarding overall fallout, RMS has seen an increase based on our observations and the weekly calls. We believe this relates to the process by which Altisource sells REO assets (on the HUBZU website), where there is no economic penalty to the bidder if they place an offer on a property but fail to deliver an executed purchase agreement (similar to what would happen in a traditional sale transaction). In addition, we believe the lack of agent to agent contact and knowledge of whether a buyer visits the property prior to making an offer also play a role in the increased fallout.
