Persuasive Essay On Tuition Fee
Persuasive Essay Tuition Fee
Have you ever wondered, why more graduated students aren t going to universities and colleges
because, every year, their tuition fee are always increasing? The cost for attending a variety of
universities and colleges programs are students responsibilities, that they need to pay to learn. Every
year, our tuition fee is always increasing that we always wonder why. In 2001, the average for one
year in Ontario was about 3,500 to 5,500 but to this year our average tuition fee for one year is 7,200
to 10,800. Universities and Colleges should decrease their tuition fee.
At first, we should decrease the tuition fee because it s unfair for the cost of international students. For
the cost of an International student is three to four times more expensive than a Canadian student. In
2017, for one year in University our average cost for Canadian student is $8,454 but for International
student average cost is $25,180. In College, their tuition fee is based on what program their choosing
but, it s the same that they need to pay three to four times more expensive. Therefore, when they don t
have enough money to pay, they don t have the opportunity to borrow money from OSAP that they
need to borrow money from banks. When they return back their money to the bank it s not the same as
OSAP. In OSAP, when they return their money to them, they don t need to pay them back with
interests but for banks you ll need to pay back interests, which that depends on their

Compare and Contrast Gibson’s and Gregory’s theories of...
Compare and Contrast Gibson s and Gregory s theories of perception Gibson s and Gregory s theories
of perception both suggest that eye retina is important for perception. The both believe that without
eye retina, a person will not be able to see. This is a common view of both of the theories of
perception. The idea is supported by the case of SB. SB was a man who had been blind from birth due
to cataracts. When he was 52, he had an operation which restored his sight and hence he could see.
Thus, this case has shown the importance of eye retina for things to be perceived. And therefore,
supports both of theories of perception which eye retina is essential for perception.
Gibson believes in the direct theories of perception which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It may be that a genetic predisposition to perception exists, but that situational factors also have to be
in place for it to develop.
Apart from the above, there are a few more differences between Gibson s and Gregory s theories of
perception. Gregory believes that additional processing is required for perception which some forms
of background knowledge is needed to make sense of the environment than just the sensory input
while Gibson believes that perception is part of an inbuilt adaptive mechanism for survival which does
not rely on stored knowledge or past experience.
Gregory believes that expectations have an impact on perceptions which Gibson disagrees. There is
empirical evidence supporting the idea of Gregory, and this comes from a study carried out by Simons
and Levin. 50% of the participants failed to realise that there was a switch of people. This is probably
due to the fact that the participants had not expected a change of person. Hence, they were unable to
perceive it. Furthermore, a study carried out by Selfridge also supports the idea of Gregory. Selfridge s
study demonstrates that our perceptions are mediated by our expectations as people are able to read
the figures as the cat . This is because people have the expectations of the cat as they are words in
common usage. These studies have shown that people saw what they have been

Mexican Cartel War
The Mexican government has gained some control over the war against the cartels, with the financial
aid from the US, and alongside the Mexican Army. Mr. Calderon, previous president, had a successful
plan into crushing these cartels by weakening their positions and taking power away from them. Mr.
Calderon s goal was to destroy the cartels by all and any means. In Mexico s history, Mr. Calderon
during his presidency, he had the most captured, as well as the war against the cartels was maintained
under control. By the time Felipe Calderón left office, 25 of the 37 most wanted men in Mexico had
been either captured or killed (Krauze). Back in December 2006, when Mexican President

Since former president Felipe Calderon launched an all out war against the cartels in 2006, about
80,000 people have been killed, (Dana). From 2007 to 2014 the crime affairs in Mexico have claimed
more lives all together than the war that has been taking place in the Middle East with Iraq and
Afghanistan. Not only has the number of casualties include cartel members themselves but also those
numbers include young children, men and women of a variety of ages. More than 164,000 Mexicans

Why Is Electronic Voting A Bad Idea
Is Electronic Voting a Bad Idea?
Is electronic voting a bad idea? Some people believe it is and others do not. In my opinion, I think
electronic voting is not a good idea. I do not trust electronic voting due to hacking problems, also
because its very expensive as well and not everyone knows or can use an electronic device.
One reason I believe electronic voting is not a good idea is because of hacking problems. I dont feel
like its a secure way to vote. Just with basic electrical knowledge and tools someone can easily hack
the system and tamper with the votes. For example: in my experience i knew someone that was very
skilled in computers. This person easily showed me how he can use certain codes and hack into
cameras from other places. That in fact scared me because he made it look so easy. No matter how
good the technology may be these days there is always someone out there that can easily hack and
tamper with very important information. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The article states that it s 115 million on EVM upgrades. Not only will you have to put a lot of money
to install and get all that you need to make this electronic voting possible, you also have to keep up
with it as well. Not everyone can make this possible because of the costs for this new technology. For
example: my husband and I bought a computer a few years ago, after a good year our computer started
having problems out of no where. This computer cost us a lot of money and this is only for a computer
imagine for this new technology. I strongly agree that not all electronics last that long without having
any problems and this will cost us a

The Coach Research Paper
Sports are a form of entertainment, whether it is playing them or watching them. Yet part of the
entertainment is also the audience. The fans can have a large impact on the game itself as well as your
experience. We all have that one friend who is way too competitive, whether it involves sports or just
who finishes eating first. They cannot choose what things to be competitive at, for that nature is in
their blood. The Coach is the most competitive player out of the fans. In a game, you will scarcely, see
them sit down, and they are so competitive that they act as if they are actually playing the game. They
could be sitting as high as the nosebleed seats and shouting at the players, telling them what to do, as
if the players could somehow hear them. Yet they are being obnoxious to the people around them, for,
unfortunately, they can hear them quite clearly. Coaches are essentially the backseat drivers of sports.
The next fan we have is the complete opposite of a Coach, hence the quotation marks. Phonies come
for the experience, not for the game. Phonies often come wearing all of the team s gear, yet it is all for
the aesthetics and for the sports façade. You may think that the game is on their phone because that is
what they ll spend most of their time watching. Unlike the Coach, others will not notice or pay much
attention to Phonies, yet you will know they were there because it will be posted on social media or
other public accounts. Coaches tend to be stubborn and close minded, so not much bothers them.
Except for the Rookie. Rookies are the bane of Coaches. Unlike Phonies, they are genuinely interested
in the game. Unfortunately, they know little to nothing about the sport, and the people to suffer are the
ones like Coaches. They are constantly asking questions about how it works and what s going on in
the game, preventing others from fully enjoying and experiencing the game. Unlike Coaches, Rookies
do not bother the rest of the fans, but only the ones they are close with. One good thing about Rookies
is that they are honest. Followers also are not completely familiar with the game, yet they try to be
discreet about it. They go with the flow of the crowd, yet you

Decency, Violence, And The Moral Life Of The Inner City By...
Life in the Inner City In the novel Code of the Street: Decency, Violence, and the Moral Life of the
Inner City written by Elijah Anderson, Elijah discusses how socioeconomic problems affect the
choices that youths in the inner city make. Elijah asserts in order not to be harmed, individuals need to
understand the code in these areas. An important key point to remember from this novel is that
violence happens because of the social disorganization and socioeconomic issues that surround these
cities. Issues like poverty impact how people live their lives. In order for Elijah to explain what life in
the inner city is like, he engaged in participant observation, direct observation, and conducted
interviews in the state of Philadelphia. He used ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First, most of the time s gang s form because poverty is an issue. For example, the MS 13 gang formed
in El Salvador, where poverty is a big issue. The reason why they form is that there are no other
opportunities out there for them. In addition, gangs also revolve around drugs, violence and street
crime. Drugs are common in some gangs, but mostly all gangs revolve around violence. Violence
within gangs is a big issue because gangs must prove themselves and show others that they should not
be messed with. This is where another key point comes into play, respect. Gang members are expected
to receive respect if they are giving it. For instance, if a gang messes with another, this is when the
violence grows because retaliation is common. Furthermore, when talking about gangs in class
another issue that was discussed is that most gang members talk about not having that father figure to
look up to. In the videos that we watched in class, the former gang members would talk about how
they never had their father in their lives while growing up and that it was difficult to understand what
was right from wrong. They would also talk about how they became involved in gangs because the
gang members would provide the love that they did not receive from their family. As emphasized by
Elijah, parent involvement in a kid s life can help shift the role they take in the future and can make a
positive impact in their lives. Important points that were made in the novel are similar to why
individuals involve themselves in

The camera films a close up shot of the children eating the meat to imply that what they are doing is
something they do not usually do, as their father does not allow it. This is emphasized when a long

stairs and a low angle shot is used to show how he is looking down on his siblings for eating pork.
When Meenah notices that George is coming up the street, the camera does a very far zoom on him.
This emphasizes that he is not far away from the house. Music is also used in this clip to show how
the kids are frantic about their father coming home and fast cuts scenes are also used to build up the
suspense and make the situation seem frantic. The music shifts from dramatic to an up tempo melody,

Bajaj vs Lml
BAJAJ VS LML
A Comparative Analysis
In today s world the two wheeler segment is a very competitive industry and there is a very stiff
competition among the various companies. There have been many two wheeler companies in India
present in the market since a long time, some have been able to transform itself and cope with the
modern market and some have faded away into the past. Companies like Hero Honda, Bajaj and TVS
have transformed themselves into major giants, while companies like LML and Rajdoot have failed
miserably and collapsed and had to shutdown. So in our case study we are taking into consideration
two such companies like Bajaj and LML which have been there from the very beginning and trying to
analyse why Bajaj was a huge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With a larger selection of two wheelers on the Indian market, consumers started to gain influence over
the products they bought and raised higher customer expectations. The industry produced more
models, styling options, prices, and different fuel efficiencies. The foreign companies new
technologies helped make the products more reliable and with better quality. Indian companies had to
change to keep up with their global counterparts.
Motorbikes are a major segment of Indian two wheeler industry, the other two being scooters and
mopeds. Indian companies are among the largest two wheeler manufacturers in the world.
In the initial stages, the scooter segment was dominated by API; it was later overtaken by Bajaj Auto
and LML. Although various government and private enterprises entered the fray for scooters, the only
new player that has lasted till today is Bajaj.
The motorcycle segment was initially dominated by Enfield 350cc bikes and Escorts 175cc bike.
The two wheeler market was opened to foreign competition in the mid 80s. And the then market
leaders Escorts and Enfield were caught unaware by the onslaught of the 100cc bikes of the four Indo
Japanese joint ventures, namely; Hero Honda, TVS Suzuki, Bajaj Kawasaki and Kinetic Motor
Company (Kinetic Honda). With the availability of fuel efficient low power bikes, demand swelled,
resulting in Hero Honda then the only producer of four stroke bikes (100cc category), gaining a

Advantages Of Juvenile Delinquency
There are several ways that juvenile delinquency is measured in which each way consists of

types of juvenile delinquency measuring crimes statistics are from collected from the Uniform Crime
Reporting Program (UCR), National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS), Victimization

categorized topics starting with the crimes that are known to the police, the number of arrests made,
and the person arrested. Crimes known to the police consist of the data which the crimes are known to
the police whether it was from public citizen reporting or were discovered by the law enforcement
agency themselves. The collected data containing the number of arrests consist of individuals
committing the crime accounting for individual that may be arrested more than once within the time

Importance Of Phonemic Awareness In Reading Comprehension
Fluency is important because it provides a bridge between word recognition and comprehension Kelly
L. Briggs. Phonemic awareness is the ability to notice, think about, and work with the individual
sounds in spoken words. Phonemic awareness instruction is a crucial building block of the reading
process. It is most effective when students master phonemic awareness skills by the first grade so that
as the student move into higher grade levels, they will be able to learn new things at a more efficient
rate. Many first grade students at JH Hines Elementary School do not know or understand the concept
of phonemics, causing them to fail when learning new sight words. These students are being tested on
words and books that they cannot comprehend because they have not been taught phonics correctly.
This affects the community surrounding the school because if the school s scores do not increase soon,
the school will have to shut down because it will no longer be funded by the state. Future tutors and
teachers at JH Hines Elementary need to be aware of this problem and help fix the problem by
teaching the students phonemic awareness, which will then help their reading comprehension increase
significantly.
JH Hines Elementary School has been having the same issue of students not being able to decode
words or find patterns within the words as they read them. These students will guess at words by just
using the first letters or they will skip the word entirely. These kids are not understanding the phonics
behind the words. Phonemic awareness is important to understand because it affects the student s
reading skills and how fast they will read for the grades to follow. Results indicate that children who
processed the phonemic awareness targets more slowly in Grade 2 tended to be slower readers in
Grade 3. Processing difficulty during a receptive spelling task was related to reading fluency within
Grade 2. Findings suggest that inefficient phonemic processing contributes to poor silent reading
fluency after second grade (Ashby). The student that I tutor at JH Hines was reading at a level two
when I first got assigned to him. Being a first grade student, he should be reading at least at a level
seven. During the

My Observations At Rose Rock School Commenced
My observations at Rose Rock School commenced at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, I climbed the
steps to get the doors and knocked on the door and only then noticed a small sign that said for people
to use the back door. The front door was then opened by a woman that asked if I was Megan, I said
yes. When I walked in I noticed that the rooms had no doors and the first room had most likely been a
living room and the room next to it a dining room. The lady that had let me in said she would get
Shanah and let her know I was here. I met Shanah and she explained that I would be observing in the
room that is next to the living room and that parents start dropping off their children at eight in the
morning.
While we talked, I asked Shanah how many children are in her group and she said thirteen children,
which included her own son that is one and a half years old. As we talked, the children started arriving
and she got them to sit down at the table and told them that they were going to make art craft for their
mother for mother s day. While Shanah was cutting the cloth, another caregiver came into the room
and I asked her what the ages the children in this group was and she replied that the children in this
group were between 1 ½ and 6 years old. After this caregiver left, I noticed one of the older children
asked who I was and she responded that I was watching their class to learn.

The Character Analysis Of Guy Monttag, By Ray Bradbury
Life has no meaning. Each of us has meaning and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the
question when you are the answer (Campbell). Guy Montag is very dedicated to his work as a fireman,
he fits the stereotypical role due to his physical appearance. His job is to burn and destroy illegal
books. The book is named after the temperature at which book papers ignite. Montag is prideful of his
work, he burns everything to the ground, devoid of thinking or feeling. Montag is the protagonist,
although there are countless others who could have taken his place as the protagonist; there were also
others who fought against society, nevertheless he was the one fireman that went against his ideals and
changed significantly due to meeting Clarisse, Faber and the old woman, because he was searching for
the meaning of his existence. After meeting Clarisse, Montag begins to question society. Clarisse is
very straightforward and clear to Montag. He said that he can see himself in her eyes. How rarely did
other people s faces take of you and throw back to your own expression, your own innermost
trembling thought? (Bradbury 11). She makes him aware that he never stops to think. He tells Mildred
that Clarisse was the first person I can remember who looked straight at me as if I counted (Bradbury
72). Through his friendship with Clarisse McClellan, Montag recognizes how cruel society can be as
opposed to the joys of nature in which he rarely experiences. When Clarisse makes

Charles I Turning Point
How far can the abdication of Charles I in 1555 be considered a key turning point in Spanish History
1474 1598?
After the abdication of Charles I in 1555, his son Philip II became King of Spain, leaving a country
that had experienced many difficulties through the last century. Events such as Civil rebellions, an
uncertain monarchy and non uniform religions had struck Spain, and various events had affected its
history. However, while the abdication was an important turning point in Spanish history, there are
various other events that also impacted it greatly. Events such as Ferdinand and Isabella establishing

the Mediterranean, where Spanish interests were mainly threatened, he took action in 1530, but in the

while generally supported by Spain due to its religious policy, led to the financial trouble Spain

historical institution of slavery has not allowed for change to come. The emancipation has set all
enslaved people free from slavery but has not made enslaved people free from the effects of slavery.
The damage that the institution of slavery inflicted on the people of the South has conflicted with
perusal of freedom and change. The major theme of the passage is the conflict of the historical past

Tee Bob kills himself with these repeated generational teachings haunting him. He starts to hear the

How To Write A Descriptive Essay On Malabar Farm
Mount Jeez overlooks the Malabar Farm and much of the Pleasant Valley. In its actuality it really is

During the winter season, the snow festoons the mountain peak and embalmed with the tiaras of the

Dbq World War 1 Analysis
As stated by Roosevelt, We have nothing to fear but fear itself. Fear and paranoia were only one force
adding pressure to Europe before it burst into full out war. Anyone with extensive knowledge on The
Great War could probably give a list of copious causations, among those being nationalistic
tendencies, the alliance system, paranoia, and the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. World
War I was primarily sparked through the assassination, with underlying tones of nationalism, alliances,
and paranoia fueling the fire. Nationalistic ego on part of Europe as a whole boiled Ferdinand s
assassination into action, pushing Europe into war. [Serbia] has done nothing to suppress
these[rebellious] movements (Doc 3). Austria Hungary had no compassion to the thoughts of the
Serbian citizens while they ruled over them, only thinking of more territory they could dominate, and
in turn, terrorist groups like The Black Hand, sprouted and eventually were successful in their

Everything That Rises Must Converge Analysis
Flannery O Connor grew up immersed in the culture of the American South during the enactment of
the Jim Crow laws. Her short stories contributed immensely to the literary genre known as Southern
Gothic. She incorporated tone, imagery, and dialogue to showcase the way life existed in the South. In
Everything that Rises Must Converge, Julian s mother displayed a very ignorant tone. Julian s mother

Shoulder Replacement Versus Traditional Hip Replacement Essay
Hip Replacement Versus Traditional Hip Replacement The continuous aging of the human body
combined with the stress of physical activities create a repeated stress on the joints of our bodies that
carry the potential risk of developing osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is one of the most common forms of
arthritis that is the worsening of the joints occurring particularly in the hands, knees, and hip.
Osteoarthritis occurs primarily with elderly individuals who have severely worsened their joints
leading to disability. When studying joint deterioration radiographic signs of OA include joint space
narrowing, subchondral bone sclerosis, and osteophyte formation (Bennell, Poquet, Williams, 2016, P.
1689). These signs prove detrimental for some individuals who begin to suffer severe pain leading to
the inability of performing simple tasks such as writing and/or walking. Hip disabilities are especially
common as a result of osteoarthritis, leaving individuals with several choices of treatment. Whether it
s physical therapy, exercise, or taking medicine, these options might not prove helpful depending on
the severity of the hip joint. In this essay, I will be comparing minimally invasive hip replacement to
traditional hip replacement to determine why someone need s a hip replacement procedure, which
option more favorable, and the physical therapy following post replacement. The gradual wear and
tear that is put on the joints of our human body causes cartilage to begin to gradually

Advantages and Disadvantages of the Baning of Somiking...
According to the article, the Houston Housing Authority has placed a smoking ban on public housing
properties, whereby residents can no longer smoke inside their homes, nor within 25 feet of a main
entrance . This is an example of an externality, a side effect on third parties caused by production or
consumption activities. This is a negative consumption externality, where the marginal private benefits
(benefits to consumers of consuming one more unit of a good) are greater than the marginal social
benefits (benefits to society of consuming one more unit of a good. The externality causes welfare
loss, a loss to society as a result of misallocation of resources, as shown in Diagram 1, where for every
unit of output, marginal private benefits (MPB) are greater than marginal social benefits (MSB). The
vertical difference between MPB and MSB is the external cost to society. For this reason, there is a
welfare loss; the market overallocates resources to the production of cigarettes at units greater than
Q/optimum, which is the socially desirable equilibrium, as there is market efficiency. However,
because MPB represents actual demand, the equilibrium is at the intersection of S=MPC=MSC and
D=MPB, at P/market and Q/market.
The reason the marginal private benefits of smoking are greater than the social ones is because
smoking has external costs affecting others; they not only affect their own health and get lung cancer,
but can also cause lung cancer to others. This is

The minute you close your hand and squeeze tightly to hold on, the sand trickles through your fingers.
You may hold onto some of it, but most will be spilled. A relationship is like that. Held loosely, with
respect and freedom for the other person, it is likely to remain intact. But hold too tightly, too
possessively, and the relationship slips away and is lost. (Kaleel Jamison Quotes)
To save a marriage in modern times there are four basic qualities: trust, restraint, intimacy, and
communication. For starters, trust is something that has to be earned. Some people do not seem to
understand that trust can be broken easily but trying to rebuild it could involve time and effort from
both sides. It is difficult to trust again. Being wounded once is enough for some individuals to
completely fall back on their relationships. However, being able to forgive someone can help a
relationship more forward.
A commitment can be defined as an obligation to do something. The institution of marriage is a huge
commitment because it involves becoming exclusive to a single person for the rest of their lives.
Couples must be able to resist temptation and remain true to each other. In moments of temptation, the
individual feels conflicted between their instincts and their long term goal to stay committed. Self
control is important for both partners to have because it takes two loyal people stay in a healthy long

The most obvious advantage of video marketing is that it s so highly engaging. The human brain has
evolved in order to pay attention to moving images and sounds and this is why we are naturally
inclined to stop and watch the television when it s on in the background. Have you ever been talking
to someone when there s a television in the room only to notice that they re actually looking straight
past you and at the screen? The sound could be off and it could even be playing adverts but still some
people will be almost unable to turn away. This isn t anything personal (usually), it s just a perfect
example of how moving images hold our attention.
Another great example is a classroom. Do you remember when the teacher would say they were going
to put on a video for a particular lesson? Even the noisiest of classes would fall silent and become very
well behaved at this point even when the topic of the video wasn t anything particularly interesting.
Video has an almost hypnotic quality and this is an excellent trait for any internet

Head: the brain grows rapidly before birth, and therefore the newborn s head is larger compared to the
rest of the body. The head circumference must be measured and should range from 32 36cm (Leifer,

Height/weight/chest and head circumference: the following must be measured right after birth. There
are several ways to measure height, but the most common and simple way is to place the infant on a
scale paper and mark the paper at the top where the head is and extend the legs and marked where the
foot is located. This marked length on the paper is then measured in centimeters. The infant is

There is Only One Cleopatra
Almost every pharaoh queen was named Cleopatra, yet only one is ever thought of, Cleopatra Thea
Philopator VII, The Goddess and Beloved of her Father . Every moment of her life from 69 BCE until
August 12, 30 BCE was a story larger than life, epic in scale, and over the top in its grandeur. As the
last reigning pharaoh of the Ptolemaic Dynasty in Ancient Egypt, she is remembered for her ability to
rule as a political genius and a strong female leader living in a male dominated world despite all odds
being against her. Firstly, Cleopatra grew up in the Ptolemaic palace living a life of luxury, yet her
subjects worshipped and even felt connected to her as more than just their queen. Secondly, after
Cleopatra was exiled by her incompetent brother, Ptolemy XII, she came back with an army of
mercenaries and took back Egypt to be its sole and more qualified ruler. Lastly, Cleopatra went to any
means to secure her power and to ensure her nation s financial and political strength; therefore what
started off as a strategic alliance with Rome slowly became her dominance over most of the ancient
world. Pharaohs for centuries had put themselves on a pedestal, those in the Ptolemaic Dynasty rarely
ever connected with their subjects, but Cleopatra defied this ideology. The Ptolemies were
descendants of a general in Alexander the Great s military and therefore were aligned with Greek and
Macedonian traditions. Previously, Greek rulers and Egyptian subjects caused great division among

How Does Huck Finn Show Morality
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Throughout the entire novel, The Adventures of Huckleberry
Finn, Huck shows two main traits or themes in the book. Huck shows loyalty to Jim on their
adventures. However, Huck also shows morality in chapters 25 to 31, something we really did not see
in the earlier chapters. In this essay I will give a brief summary of the chapters, then an example or
two of how Huck displays loyalty and morality. One example of morality starts in the beginning of
chapter 25 when Huck expressed how disgusted he was by the duke and dauphin being so selfish and
only trying to con everyone. Huck says, I never see anything so disgusting (Twain, 193). The duke and
dauphin are pretending to be the brothers of Peter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Huck is not sure at this point if the coffin was looked in or not, he is not sure if the con men have the
money or not. Huck thought he would write a letter to Mary Jane telling her to dig up the coffin after
he leaves town. Another example of morality is Huck contemplating whether or not he will tell Mary
Jane where he hid the money. Says I, if it could stay where it is, all right; because when we get down
the river a hundred mile or two I could write back to Mary Jane , and she could dig him up... (Twain,
210 211). The con artists end up selling the land and the slaves. Huck is white, mind you. Huck knows
how wrong slavery just naturally and he truly does have a morally correct conscience. Mary Jane was
also feeling very upset about splitting the salve family, but Huck promises her in a few weeks they
will unite again, knowing that the con men will be caught by then. Huck eventually told Mary Jane the
truth about the con men but asked her to keep quiet until Jim could escape. Which shows Huck was
staying very loyal to Jim. Huck ended up writing Mary Jane a note where the money was. By the end
of chapter 28 two men showed up stating they were the real Harvey and William

A Narrative Criticism Of The Political Ideological Lens
The second criticism I enjoyed was looking at the political ideological lens. Also, having a BS in
Political Science with minors in International relations and Pre Law, this criticism fully caught my
attention. This lens focuses on the resistance of Jesus in his time to motivate Christians today to stand
against institutionalized power that often disenfranchises and demeans the opportunity to obtain the
American dream. When viewing the New Testament, we must be honest in evaluating the aspects that
do not contribute to public health. The issue of poverty and political culture as it relates to the
condition of the oppressed is always front and center. My first paper even though a narrative criticism
paper focused on the need for political expediency over the true application of justice. This was
demonstrated in Matthew 27: 11 26, where Jesus is brought before Pontius Pilate. The purpose of this
unit was to illuminate the affair between politics and justice. The charge the high priests brought
against Jesus before Pontius Pilate displays that political expediency takes precedence over justice.
This unit is less about Jesus, partly due to his refusal to respond, and ... Show more content on

Essay On Colonoscopy
The American College of Gastroenterology Guidelines recommend colonoscopy,as the preferred

Resection (EMR) was developed for removingsessile or flat lesions confined to the superficial layers
(mucosa and submucosa) of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, including the colon, esophagus, stomach,
and duodenum. EMR with submucosal injection helps facilitate complete resection of polyps (Hwang

protruding the snare tip 2 3 mm beyond the catheter, followed by application of coagulating current
while lightly touching the tip directly onto the bleeding point. Vigorous irrigation with the foot pump
clears the resection field of blood and helps localize the bleeding vessel. In the minority of cases
where STSC does not achieve hemostasis, coagulating forceps or through the scope (TTS) clips may
be used, both of which have been associated with a low rate of re bleeding and complications. (Ma

Delayed post polypectomy bleeding (DPPB) is rare after cold snare polypectomy and is usually
related to thermal injury following hot snare polypectomy, occurring in 1 2% of patients with sessile
polyps 20mm in size. The risk of DPPB is directly related to polyp size (risk increases by 9% to 13%

Swot On The Pestle Analysis Of Lego
Executive Summary
In this report, the association, Lego, its image and present business sector standing have been
inspected in subtle element. Lego (adapted and trademarked as LEGO) is a line of plastic development
toys that are made by The Lego Group, a secretly held organization situated in Billund, Denmark. The
organization s lead item, Lego, comprises of vivid interlocking plastic blocks going with a variety of
apparatuses, puppets called minifigures, and different parts. Lego pieces can be collected and
associated from numerous points of view, to develop protests, for example, vehicles, structures, and
working robots. Anything developed can then be dismembered once more, and the pieces used to
make different articles.

The PESTLE model investigations the macroeconomic elements of political, natural, social,
innovative, lawful and ecological parts. These parts are examined due to their incredible significance
in the outside environment of the LEGO group. An adjustment in any of these variables can make new
open doors or dangers, which the association will need to adapt to make an effective business. Since
macroeconomic elements are nation particular and the LEGO group is a multinational association then
it is essential that every single significant countries will be investigated to give a sound assessment of
the LEGO group s macroeconomic surroundings.
One of the weaknesses of the PESTLE analysis is that all factors effect each other in various ways. A
political factor like a tax reduction will always have a great impact on the economy and a change in
the technological perspective could change political parameters like trade restrictions.

Welcome to the Museum of Medieval Art! Today we will take you on a guided tour to view four
religious artworks, two from the Late Antique era and two from the Early Byzantine era. Todays topic
will be how works of art express religious ideas and at the end of this tour you will be able to
understand why there is the transition from the physical depiction of Jesus in the Early Christian
artworks to a more divine depiction in the Early Byzantine. First we must start in during the Late
Antiquity period. Not many pieces of the Early Christian art works survived, therefore little is known
about them. However, the Christian artworks that remain we have inferred that many of the creators
may have not even been religious. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our first piece is the choir apse of San Vitale with a mosaic of Christ, Saint Vitale, and Bishop
Ecclesius, Ravenna Italy, 526 547. During this period of time the emperor Constantine had previously
arisen and founded Constantinople and later, which is where we will begin, the emperor Justinian
arises. During the reign of Justinian we see the construction of the San Vitale church in which there
lies our first piece of art to discuss. The mosaic depicts the second coming and it has Jesus sitting on
the world and extending a wreath to the martyr Saint Vitalis. The artist here chose to add a small
landscape, but Christ is not in it. We can infer that this shows that the artists has a more divine
rendition of Jesus and we can see this also rendered in the separation of contact with the saints.
Between them and Jesus are angels preventing direct contact and we can see that the saints hands are
covered for the passing of the wreath as well. This piece shows the hardening of the Byzantine style
and the distancing of Christ that contradicts the views of the Early Christian s. This is evident in the
Byzantines choice of a gold sky over the Early Christians traditional blue one in Galla Placidia. The
artist chose a movement towards the divinity of Christ and he represents this in the elevation. We can
infer that this happened due to the imperial influences during the period and we can see these
influences reflected in the artists choice for purple robes that represent royalty and present Christ as
ruler of the

Pi is at sea for 227 days. Surviving that long alone is nothing short of a miracle. Another thing is that
in Pi s second story, Pi states the tragic events that he is put through. For example, he watched his
mother get murdered, he killed the cook, and he was forced to resort to cannibalism. Pi says, I
descended to a level of savagery I never imagined possible (197). This shows his particular struggle
with keeping to his vegetarian way and how much it hurt him that he had to break his vegetarian ways
to survive. All these show why he would want to suppress this experience with a story filled with
animals. Additionally, late in his journey Pi says, It was natural that, bereft and desperate as I was, in
the throes of unremitting suffering, I should turn to God (283 284). This shows how religiously
connected he was throughout his journey. In addition, it shows how Pi could have created the Richard
Parker story to align it with a miracle filled story that was created to show belief in religion can save
you. Pi s story s main purpose may be to make the listener believe in god and attribute his survival to
such higher power. Pi s specific reason for creating the Richard Parker story is unclear, but there is no

Spaying And Neuter Pets Essay
the Arms of an Angel and there are dogs and cats sitting behind a closed kennel door looking at the

on the radio. There are many millions of animals that are unloved, neglected and abandoned in shelters
each year because people do not participate in getting their animals spayed or neutered or the animals
are over bred for profit.
Animal overcrowding in shelters is only one reason of many as to why pet owners should spay or
neuter their pets, but it is the most important reason of all. Shelters all over the United States are past
the overcrowded level and even dog rescue groups are finding it harder and harder everyday to find

When you think about all these situations, the amount of animals in a shelter can rapidly increase
every day, and this is very sad that we have done this to our furry friends .
Spaying and neutering your animal can not only help with the overcrowding in shelters but can
actually be beneficial to your home and pets. Male dogs and cats when un neutered have a tendency to
mark their property. When they mark their territory it can lead to a very unpleasant smell in and
around your home. Have you ever walked a dog and noticed them peeing frequently on fire hydrants,
trees, corners or certain sections in the yard? This would be your male animal stating that he is a male.
When you neuter your male animal, this behavior decreases and thus you can have a cleaner smelling
house. Also, it is a recognizes concept amongst pet owners that getting your animal fixed can help
with behavioral issues such as aggression, dominance, and also sexual arousal around a female animal.
Female dogs and cats go into a heat cycle, similar to that of a female human. Their cycle causes them
to bleed for about two weeks and can make quite the mess if you are not planning for it. Also, spaying
can help with the females behavior as well; they mellow down and are less fussy. If you re a female
you know that when you re on your cycle you can be temperamental, it s the same for female dogs and
cats.

of the disease is no longer than half an hour, leaving the victim s face and body covered with blood.
Prince Prospero has grown scared, so he recruits some of his closest friends and goes to a secluded
castle in order to rebel against the plague (Poe 4). Months have passed and the Prince decides to
celebrate their health and throws a masquerade ball. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The figure looks like a victim of the Red Death with His vesture was dabbled in blood and his broad
brow, with all the features of his face, was besprinkled with the scarlet horror (Poe 6). As soon as he
enters, Prince Prospero and his a thousand knights, one by one, fall bleeding out of their mouths into
their inevitable death. The concept of the Red Death seems to come from the influences Poe has had
with Tuberculosis and the epidemics of the Black Death. These three deadly diseases share similarities
in symptoms and on how much lives they have taken. This story is a great reminder that death is
nondiscriminatory and inevitable. This story not only reflects the events in his personal life but it
explores the ways in how certain situations help shape people s actions and emotions (Caldwell par

Disadvantages Of Union City
Union City, Pennsylvania is where I have lived my entire life. It is a great, small, friendly town,
depending on who you ask. Over the span of my lifetime, I have heard comments that vary about the
residents overall satisfaction with Union City. To me, it is about neutral because the several
advantages and disadvantages are nearly equal in my eyes. However, depending on your home life,
social status, and personal liking, Union City may or may not be the town for you. Over the years, I
become more thankful for my hometown because of the low crime rate unlike many other cities.
Union City, previously known as Miles Mills ( History of Union City, PA ), was discovered by David
Watts and William Mills in the year 1785 ( History... ). At one time, Union City, was considered The
Chair Center of the World due to all the sawmills and chair factories within the city ( History... ). But
sadly, now the town is only referred to as Incest City or Union Shitty, which is offensive to the citizens
of the town. The sawmills and chair factories in the earlier centuries, currently are not functioning or
have burned down in recent years, including the Ethan Allen building which burned down during my
lifetime in 2010. The history of Union City may not be as exciting compared to larger cities, but it
means so much to the residents or ancestors of people from here. The town of Union City is a very
small, friendly, tight knit community. As a citizen, me nor my family have never had any

What Are The Causes Of Chicago Crime
Over the past three years Chicago violent has kept at a steady rate causing terror and for a generation
to lose hope. According to the 2013 FBI Crime Report; someone is shot in Chicago every three hours
and 16 minutes, an individual dies from a gunshot every 18 hours. The black on back crime rate is
about 90%. In 2014 the FBI Crime Report, reported that even though Chicago s population is one
fourth of the size of New York, it has nearly five times the homicides. This year Chicago crime has
taken a turn for the worst, with a devastating murder that was truly shocked the nation and was a first
for its kind. Tyshawn Lee was a 9 year old boy who was lured into an alley and shot execution style,
as retaliation for his father s gang affiliation.

Recent Work On Follow The Perturbed Leader ( Ftpl )...
Recent work on follow the perturbed leader (FTPL) algorithms for adversarial multi armed bandit
problem has highlighted the role of the hazard rate of the distribution generating the perturbations.
Assuming that the hazard rate is bounded allows one to provide regret analyses for a variety of
FTPL algorithms for the multi armed bandit problem. This paper pushes the inquiry into regret bounds
for FTPL algorithms beyond the bounded hazard rate condition. There are good reasons to do so:
natural distributions such as the uniform and Gaussian violate the condition. We give regret bounds for
both bounded support and unbounded support distributions without assuming the hazard rate
condition. We also disprove a conjecture that the Gaussian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The former corresponds to infimal convolution smoothing and the latter corresponds to stochastic (or
integral convolution) smoothing (Abernethy et al., 2014). Having a generic framework for
understanding perturbations allows one to study a wide variety of online linear optimization games
and a number of interesting perturbations.
There has also been some work on understanding perturbation approaches in bandit problems.
Kujala and Elomaa (2005) and Poland (2005) both showed that using the exponential (actually double
exponential/Laplace) distribution in an FTPL algorithm coupled with standard unbiased estimation
techniques yields near optimal O(NT logN) regret in T rounds with N arms. Unbiased estimation
needs access to arm probabilities that are not explicitly available when using an FTPL algorithm. Neu
and Bart´ok (2013) introduced the geometric resampling scheme to approximate these probabilities
while still guaranteeing low regret. Recently, Abernethy et al. (2015) analyzed FTPL for adversarial
multi armed bandits and provided regret bounds under the condition that the hazard rate of the
perturbation distribution is bounded. This condition allowed them to consider a variety of perturbation
distributions beyond the exponential, such as gamma, Gumbel, Frechet, Pareto, and Weibull.
Unfortunately, the bounded hazard rate condition is violated by two of the most widely known
distributions: namely the uniform1 and the Gaussian distributions. As a result, the

Keats Poetry And The Imitation Of Spenser
According to Scott, Keats followed Spenser and Shakespeare to represent the faeries in his Poems and
Imitation of Spenser. Keats extended meditation on the faery world to begin the more mature
Hyperion fragments. The poem was read as conflating the defeat of the Titans by the Olympians with
the defeat of the British Celts by the romans: Keats was attempting to write the epic of the Celts (226).
Here Saturn was paralleled with Ossian and Moneta was seen as the Druids in The Fall Hyperion who
picked out sacrificial victims. Keats major poem, The Eve of St Agnes was the most widespread and
convincing, perhaps because, along with La Belle Dame sans Merci, the poem was obviously taken up
with the world of faerie. In The Eve of St. John, Porphyro ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Scott writes in Keats s Poetry and the Politics of the Imagination that Keats himself wished, among
the English poets (Scott, Keats s Poetry and the Politics of the Imagintion by Daniel P. Watkins, 1991,
p. 408) His studies had been much more taken with language and psychology than with history or
politics. It was given in Watkins s book that Keats spent more time reading The Examiner than reading
Milton and Shakespeare and due to that reason he was more influenced by Hunt than the library of
Cowden Clarke (409). At that time, Keats appeared too much like an essayist, a journalist, a
commentator, and not enough like a poet. In this light, Watkins reads the extreme individualism and
subjectivity of Keats s poetry as a sign of the bourgeois fragmentation of human life (409). In his
longer poem Endymion, he built a journey for liberating individual power as a response to social
disintegration. This involved the active denial of the public world and the ensuing sacrifice of history,
society, and women for the designs of the private self. In Isabella, the relations of production and
human experience under capitalism; in Hyperion, the true complexity of the social and historical
conflict that threatens the Titans; in Lamia, the realities of existence in a market economy; and in Ode
on a Grecian Urn there was everything: history, politics, colonialism, the oppression of women, rape,
and the destruction of Greece. In this book, Keats s use and misuse of history were also provoking,
that was to say, the Marxist machinery was appeared too large and Keats s politics were viewed
through an example governed by reductive oppositions, broad definitions of the bourgeoisie, and
unchallenged ideological assumptions about the peaceful conditions of the pre capitalist agricultural

The Effects Of Nextgen On Nas Delays At Major Airports
The Effects of NextGen on NAS Delays at Major Airports The national aviation system is under
increasing demand for more and more flights as air passenger numbers continue to rise. The Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) Aerospace Forecast Fiscal Years 2015 2035 report estimates an annual
growth of 2.0 percent per year from 2016 2035. This will equate to an average of 1.14 billion
passengers flying within the U.S. per year by the end of year 2035 (n.d., p. 47). As the number of
aircraft flying increase to accommodate passenger demand, the number of aircraft delays and risk to
flight safety are also likely to increase. The current air traffic control (ATC) infrastructure evolved
from the World War II era and wasn t designed to handle the predicted air traffic loads of the 21st
century (Hopkin, Wise Garland, 2010). In order to update the ATC system to increase its capacity, the
FAA, along with other select governing bodies have started implementing NextGen. At an estimated
cost of $18 billion through the year 2018, the NextGen system uses emerging technology and is
constantly facing challenges (United States Federal Aviation Administration, 2010). These challenges
delay the benefits received through the use of NextGen which add to the ongoing NAS delays and risk
the safety of future flights in the oversaturated airways. Although some delays are being experienced
in NextGen prorams, 30 major airports now have NextGen capabilities (NextGen Airports, 2016). The

David And Goliath
The story of David and Goliath is an iconic story from the bible, which many artists have tried to
capture in sculptures. The story goes that there was a young boy that tended sheep, and one day he
went to go see his brothers that were in the Israel army called Israelites. The Israelites were at war
with the Philistines whom had a great warrior his name was Goliath, he stood nine feet tall and was
enormous compared to everyone else. Goliath carried giant weapons and was afraid of no man. For
Forty days Goliath would go to the battlefield and demand to give him a man and let them fight each
other but everyone was too scared. But while David was there to see his brothers he saw Goliath and
was not afraid so he asked the king to let him fight ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But to compare the age I would say that Donatello s David is the youngest and most boy like of all
three. Michelangelo s and Bernini s depict David as a young man or someone that could actually fight,
they make him look muscular and more defined than Donatello s depiction also Donatello s is the only
sculpture casted in bronze rather than the other two being made of marble. Also the hair in Donatello s
David is longer and more of a biblical looking David than the others. They are all in different times as
well the first made sculpture was Donatello s and his David was made after the battle of him and
Goliath, but Michelangelo s is seen as right before the battle when he is looking at Goliath. And the
last made was Bernini s and in his David is in the action of throwing the stone at Goliath. In
Michelangelo s David he is just made by himself with one thing keeping him up where in the others
David s is in a action like throwing in Bernini s or is standing on something like in Donatello s. The
facial expressions in all of these are actually quite different as well if you really look at them. In
Bernini s his face is distressed and in concentration. But in Michelangelo s his face is almost blank but
with a look as if to no shock of the giant in front of him. And finally Donatello s has a face of a grin or
smirk where he has defeated the great Goliath and he is now happy. They also have

Tex Mex vs. Mexican Tex Mex and Mexican are both very common foods. In the 1500s Native
Americans lived in the area that is now Texas for thousands of years. More than 300 years before that
Texas was part of the spanish colony known as New Spain. In the years since a number of have been
completely combined to produce what is known as Tex Mex cuisine today. The history of Mexican
food is long and diverse. It is said that authentic mexican food might of been made by the Mayans.
The Mayans were nomadic hunters and gatherers who mostly ate wild game, tropic fruits, and fish, but
corn and tortillas with a bean paste was also a popular food item. This is the history of both Tex Mex
and Mexican food.Tex Mex has an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The introduced new livestock. For example sheep, pigs, and cows. These animals brought dairy
products and garlic along with many different herbs and spices. It was around this time that the
Mexican people saw the vision of many other cuisines. Such as Caribbean, South American, French,
West African, and Portuguese. Overall Mexican food and Tex Mex are now enjoyed
nationwide.People often confuse Mexican and Tex Mex, because it turns out while there are difference
between the two there are many similarities also. For example flour tortillas are commonly used in
both Mexican and Tex Mex dishes. Another similarities is some of the dishes. For example chile con
queso,or chile with cheese, is a common dish in the Mexican and Tex Mex category. The last
similarity that I m going to talk about is While there are many similarities between mexican and tex
mex food there are many differences too. For example cheese. In tex mex foods they use melted
cheddar cheese in many dishes such as nachos and enchiladas. But, in Mexican food they rarely uses
yellow cheese and they rely heavily on white cheeses. For example queso blanco, queso fresco, queso
panela, etc. Another example of how Mexican and Tex Mex food is

Spanish and English Exploration Essay
*********** HS 201 005 Paper #1 Sept. 8, 2010 Spanish and English had similar motivations for
exploration of the New World, such as gaining land, goods from the natives, and gold. However, their
motivations also differ greatly. The Spanish conquistadors also gained slaves from the native people,
as well as spreading the word of Christianity. The English settlers came to the New World to get away
from the religious oppression in England and to practice religion freely, and to grow tobacco to send
back to England. The Spanish gained much more land quickly because, upon landing in places like the
Caribbean and Brazil, because of their conquering and enslaving of the natives. The English came to
the New World much less prepared, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eventually one of Cortes men led a massacre of the Mexican nobles, and murdered Montezuma. These
conquests led to other conquests with the motivation of more gold and more land. Another conqueror,
Francisco Pizarro, also led his men to capture an emperor, Atahualpa of the Incans, and held him for a
ransom of silver and gold. With this gold and silver, as well as land, they executed Atahualpa. These
violent raids proved beneficial to the Spanish, helping them spread their conquered land further south
in the Americas. This quest made the Spanish not only rich in silver and gold, but in land and with
slaves, by use of violent force. The English had similar motivations to that of the Spanish, and were
even inspired by the success of the Spanish conquistadors to come to the New World and settle on new
land. However, the motivations differed greatly as well. The English hoped to provide jobs for people
in the New World that could not find them in England, also in hopes of helping England s economy.
The colonists set up a colony at Jamestown to defend themselves against the Indians, and eventually
Powhatan s people came forward to open the trade of corn with the colonists. This corn eventually
kept the colonist alive until another ship of more people and supplies came in. This however, did not
prepare the colonists for the winter of 1609 1610, or the starving time , when only 60 of the original

  • 2. Persuasive Essay On Tuition Fee Persuasive Essay Tuition Fee Have you ever wondered, why more graduated students aren t going to universities and colleges because, every year, their tuition fee are always increasing? The cost for attending a variety of universities and colleges programs are students responsibilities, that they need to pay to learn. Every year, our tuition fee is always increasing that we always wonder why. In 2001, the average for one year in Ontario was about 3,500 to 5,500 but to this year our average tuition fee for one year is 7,200 to 10,800. Universities and Colleges should decrease their tuition fee. At first, we should decrease the tuition fee because it s unfair for the cost of international students. For the cost of an International student is three to four times more expensive than a Canadian student. In 2017, for one year in University our average cost for Canadian student is $8,454 but for International student average cost is $25,180. In College, their tuition fee is based on what program their choosing but, it s the same that they need to pay three to four times more expensive. Therefore, when they don t have enough money to pay, they don t have the opportunity to borrow money from OSAP that they need to borrow money from banks. When they return back their money to the bank it s not the same as OSAP. In OSAP, when they return their money to them, they don t need to pay them back with interests but for banks you ll need to pay back interests, which that depends on their ... • 3. Compare and Contrast Gibson’s and Gregory’s theories of... Compare and Contrast Gibson s and Gregory s theories of perception Gibson s and Gregory s theories of perception both suggest that eye retina is important for perception. The both believe that without eye retina, a person will not be able to see. This is a common view of both of the theories of perception. The idea is supported by the case of SB. SB was a man who had been blind from birth due to cataracts. When he was 52, he had an operation which restored his sight and hence he could see. Thus, this case has shown the importance of eye retina for things to be perceived. And therefore, supports both of theories of perception which eye retina is essential for perception. Gibson believes in the direct theories of perception which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It may be that a genetic predisposition to perception exists, but that situational factors also have to be in place for it to develop. Apart from the above, there are a few more differences between Gibson s and Gregory s theories of perception. Gregory believes that additional processing is required for perception which some forms of background knowledge is needed to make sense of the environment than just the sensory input while Gibson believes that perception is part of an inbuilt adaptive mechanism for survival which does not rely on stored knowledge or past experience. Gregory believes that expectations have an impact on perceptions which Gibson disagrees. There is empirical evidence supporting the idea of Gregory, and this comes from a study carried out by Simons and Levin. 50% of the participants failed to realise that there was a switch of people. This is probably due to the fact that the participants had not expected a change of person. Hence, they were unable to perceive it. Furthermore, a study carried out by Selfridge also supports the idea of Gregory. Selfridge s study demonstrates that our perceptions are mediated by our expectations as people are able to read the figures as the cat . This is because people have the expectations of the cat as they are words in common usage. These studies have shown that people saw what they have been ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Mr. Calderon, previous president, had a successful plan into crushing these cartels by weakening their positions and taking power away from them. Mr. Calderon s goal was to destroy the cartels by all and any means. In Mexico s history, Mr. Calderon during his presidency, he had the most captured, as well as the war against the cartels was maintained under control. By the time Felipe Calderón left office, 25 of the 37 most wanted men in Mexico had been either captured or killed (Krauze). Since former president Felipe Calderon launched an all out war against the cartels in 2006, about 80,000 people have been killed, (Dana). From 2007 to 2014 the crime affairs in Mexico have claimed more lives all together than the war that has been taking place in the Middle East with Iraq and Afghanistan. Not only has the number of casualties include cartel members themselves but also those numbers include young children, men and women of a variety of ages. • 5. Why Is Electronic Voting A Bad Idea Is Electronic Voting a Bad Idea? Is electronic voting a bad idea? Some people believe it is and others do not. In my opinion, I think electronic voting is not a good idea. I do not trust electronic voting due to hacking problems, also because its very expensive as well and not everyone knows or can use an electronic device. One reason I believe electronic voting is not a good idea is because of hacking problems. I dont feel like its a secure way to vote. Just with basic electrical knowledge and tools someone can easily hack the system and tamper with the votes. For example: in my experience i knew someone that was very skilled in computers. This person easily showed me how he can use certain codes and hack into cameras from other places. That in fact scared me because he made it look so easy. No matter how good the technology may be these days there is always someone out there that can easily hack and tamper with very important information. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example: my husband and I bought a computer a few years ago, after a good year our computer started having problems out of no where. • 8. The Coach Research Paper Sports are a form of entertainment, whether it is playing them or watching them. Yet part of the entertainment is also the audience. The fans can have a large impact on the game itself as well as your experience. We all have that one friend who is way too competitive, whether it involves sports or just who finishes eating first. They cannot choose what things to be competitive at, for that nature is in their blood. The Coach is the most competitive player out of the fans. In a game, you will scarcely, see them sit down, and they are so competitive that they act as if they are actually playing the game. They could be sitting as high as the nosebleed seats and shouting at the players, telling them what to do, as if the players could somehow hear them. Yet they are being obnoxious to the people around them, for, unfortunately, they can hear them quite clearly. Coaches are essentially the backseat drivers of sports. The next fan we have is the complete opposite of a Coach, hence the quotation marks. Phonies come for the experience, not for the game. Phonies often come wearing all of the team s gear, yet it is all for the aesthetics and for the sports façade. You may think that the game is on their phone because that is what they ll spend most of their time watching. Unlike the Coach, others will not notice or pay much attention to Phonies, yet you will know they were there because it will be posted on social media or other public accounts. Coaches tend to be stubborn and close minded, so not much bothers them. Except for the Rookie. Rookies are the bane of Coaches. Unlike Phonies, they are genuinely interested in the game. Unfortunately, they know little to nothing about the sport, and the people to suffer are the ones like Coaches. They are constantly asking questions about how it works and what s going on in the game, preventing others from fully enjoying and experiencing the game. Unlike Coaches, Rookies do not bother the rest of the fans, but only the ones they are close with. One good thing about Rookies is that they are honest. Followers also are not completely familiar with the game, yet they try to be discreet about it. They go with the flow of the crowd, yet you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Life in the Inner City In the novel Code of the Street: Decency, Violence, and the Moral Life of the Inner City written by Elijah Anderson, Elijah discusses how socioeconomic problems affect the choices that youths in the inner city make. Elijah asserts in order not to be harmed, individuals need to understand the code in these areas. An important key point to remember from this novel is that violence happens because of the social disorganization and socioeconomic issues that surround these cities. Issues like poverty impact how people live their lives. In order for Elijah to explain what life in the inner city is like, he engaged in participant observation, direct observation, and conducted interviews in the state of Philadelphia. He used ... The reason why they form is that there are no other opportunities out there for them. In addition, gangs also revolve around drugs, violence and street crime. Drugs are common in some gangs, but mostly all gangs revolve around violence. Violence within gangs is a big issue because gangs must prove themselves and show others that they should not be messed with. This is where another key point comes into play, respect. Gang members are expected to receive respect if they are giving it. For instance, if a gang messes with another, this is when the violence grows because retaliation is common. Furthermore, when talking about gangs in class another issue that was discussed is that most gang members talk about not having that father figure to look up to. In the videos that we watched in class, the former gang members would talk about how they never had their father in their lives while growing up and that it was difficult to understand what was right from wrong. They would also talk about how they became involved in gangs because the gang members would provide the love that they did not receive from their family. As emphasized by Elijah, parent involvement in a kid s life can help shift the role they take in the future and can make a positive impact in their lives. Important points that were made in the novel are similar to why individuals involve themselves in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Indian companies had to change to keep up with their global counterparts. Motorbikes are a major segment of Indian two wheeler industry, the other two being scooters and mopeds. Indian companies are among the largest two wheeler manufacturers in the world. In the initial stages, the scooter segment was dominated by API; it was later overtaken by Bajaj Auto and LML. Although various government and private enterprises entered the fray for scooters, the only new player that has lasted till today is Bajaj. The motorcycle segment was initially dominated by Enfield 350cc bikes and Escorts 175cc bike. The two wheeler market was opened to foreign competition in the mid 80s. • 13. Importance Of Phonemic Awareness In Reading Comprehension Fluency is important because it provides a bridge between word recognition and comprehension Kelly L. Briggs. Phonemic awareness is the ability to notice, think about, and work with the individual sounds in spoken words. Phonemic awareness instruction is a crucial building block of the reading process. It is most effective when students master phonemic awareness skills by the first grade so that as the student move into higher grade levels, they will be able to learn new things at a more efficient rate. Many first grade students at JH Hines Elementary School do not know or understand the concept of phonemics, causing them to fail when learning new sight words. These students are being tested on words and books that they cannot comprehend because they have not been taught phonics correctly. This affects the community surrounding the school because if the school s scores do not increase soon, the school will have to shut down because it will no longer be funded by the state. Future tutors and teachers at JH Hines Elementary need to be aware of this problem and help fix the problem by teaching the students phonemic awareness, which will then help their reading comprehension increase significantly. JH Hines Elementary School has been having the same issue of students not being able to decode words or find patterns within the words as they read them. These students will guess at words by just using the first letters or they will skip the word entirely. These kids are not understanding the phonics behind the words. Phonemic awareness is important to understand because it affects the student s reading skills and how fast they will read for the grades to follow. Results indicate that children who processed the phonemic awareness targets more slowly in Grade 2 tended to be slower readers in Grade 3. Processing difficulty during a receptive spelling task was related to reading fluency within Grade 2. Findings suggest that inefficient phonemic processing contributes to poor silent reading fluency after second grade (Ashby). The student that I tutor at JH Hines was reading at a level two when I first got assigned to him. Being a first grade student, he should be reading at least at a level seven. During the ... • 15. The Character Analysis Of Guy Monttag, By Ray Bradbury Life has no meaning. Each of us has meaning and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer (Campbell). Guy Montag is very dedicated to his work as a fireman, he fits the stereotypical role due to his physical appearance. His job is to burn and destroy illegal books. The book is named after the temperature at which book papers ignite. Montag is prideful of his work, he burns everything to the ground, devoid of thinking or feeling. Montag is the protagonist, although there are countless others who could have taken his place as the protagonist; there were also others who fought against society, nevertheless he was the one fireman that went against his ideals and changed significantly due to meeting Clarisse, Faber and the old woman, because he was searching for the meaning of his existence. After meeting Clarisse, Montag begins to question society. Clarisse is very straightforward and clear to Montag. He said that he can see himself in her eyes. How rarely did other people s faces take of you and throw back to your own expression, your own innermost trembling thought? (Bradbury 11). She makes him aware that he never stops to think. He tells Mildred that Clarisse was the first person I can remember who looked straight at me as if I counted (Bradbury 72). • 19. How To Write A Descriptive Essay On Malabar Farm Mount Jeez overlooks the Malabar Farm and much of the Pleasant Valley. In its actuality it really is just a big hill. Mount Jeez lays in a great line, like a spine of land, providing a crystal clear view of the sky. The rumbling and roaring white wave surge down the mountain side, at some point the wrinkled mountain seems to be cocoon quite whenever a right of snow covered the sky punching the mountain. During the winter season, the snow festoons the mountain peak and embalmed with the tiaras of the powdery snow, while the foot of the mountain is covered with mist in the morning. The purple sky reflected the beautiful and flaky snow that covers the mountain like a blanket while silence remains in the air as the animals sleep and hibernate in the winter. Anyone with extensive knowledge on The Great War could probably give a list of copious causations, among those being nationalistic tendencies, the alliance system, paranoia, and the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. World War I was primarily sparked through the assassination, with underlying tones of nationalism, alliances, and paranoia fueling the fire. Nationalistic ego on part of Europe as a whole boiled Ferdinand s assassination into action, pushing Europe into war. [Serbia] has done nothing to suppress these[rebellious] movements (Doc 3). Austria Hungary had no compassion to the thoughts of the Serbian citizens while they ruled over them, only thinking of more territory they could dominate, and in turn, terrorist groups like The Black Hand, sprouted and eventually were successful in their mission. • 22. Shoulder Replacement Versus Traditional Hip Replacement Essay Hip Replacement Versus Traditional Hip Replacement The continuous aging of the human body combined with the stress of physical activities create a repeated stress on the joints of our bodies that carry the potential risk of developing osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is one of the most common forms of arthritis that is the worsening of the joints occurring particularly in the hands, knees, and hip. Osteoarthritis occurs primarily with elderly individuals who have severely worsened their joints leading to disability. When studying joint deterioration radiographic signs of OA include joint space narrowing, subchondral bone sclerosis, and osteophyte formation (Bennell, Poquet, Williams, 2016, P. 1689). These signs prove detrimental for some individuals who begin to suffer severe pain leading to the inability of performing simple tasks such as writing and/or walking. Hip disabilities are especially common as a result of osteoarthritis, leaving individuals with several choices of treatment. Whether it s physical therapy, exercise, or taking medicine, these options might not prove helpful depending on the severity of the hip joint. In this essay, I will be comparing minimally invasive hip replacement to traditional hip replacement to determine why someone need s a hip replacement procedure, which option more favorable, and the physical therapy following post replacement. According to the article, the Houston Housing Authority has placed a smoking ban on public housing properties, whereby residents can no longer smoke inside their homes, nor within 25 feet of a main entrance . This is an example of an externality, a side effect on third parties caused by production or consumption activities. This is a negative consumption externality, where the marginal private benefits (benefits to consumers of consuming one more unit of a good) are greater than the marginal social benefits (benefits to society of consuming one more unit of a good. The externality causes welfare loss, a loss to society as a result of misallocation of resources, as shown in Diagram 1, where for every unit of output, marginal private benefits (MPB) are greater than marginal social benefits (MSB). The vertical difference between MPB and MSB is the external cost to society. For this reason, there is a welfare loss; the market overallocates resources to the production of cigarettes at units greater than Q/optimum, which is the socially desirable equilibrium, as there is market efficiency. However, because MPB represents actual demand, the equilibrium is at the intersection of S=MPC=MSC and D=MPB, at P/market and Q/market. The reason the marginal private benefits of smoking are greater than the social ones is because smoking has external costs affecting others; they not only affect their own health and get lung cancer, but can also cause lung cancer to others. This is ... Every moment of her life from 69 BCE until August 12, 30 BCE was a story larger than life, epic in scale, and over the top in its grandeur. As the last reigning pharaoh of the Ptolemaic Dynasty in Ancient Egypt, she is remembered for her ability to rule as a political genius and a strong female leader living in a male dominated world despite all odds being against her. Firstly, Cleopatra grew up in the Ptolemaic palace living a life of luxury, yet her subjects worshipped and even felt connected to her as more than just their queen. Secondly, after Cleopatra was exiled by her incompetent brother, Ptolemy XII, she came back with an army of mercenaries and took back Egypt to be its sole and more qualified ruler. Lastly, Cleopatra went to any means to secure her power and to ensure her nation s financial and political strength; therefore what started off as a strategic alliance with Rome slowly became her dominance over most of the ancient world. Pharaohs for centuries had put themselves on a pedestal, those in the Ptolemaic Dynasty rarely ever connected with their subjects, but Cleopatra defied this ideology. Also, having a BS in Political Science with minors in International relations and Pre Law, this criticism fully caught my attention. This lens focuses on the resistance of Jesus in his time to motivate Christians today to stand against institutionalized power that often disenfranchises and demeans the opportunity to obtain the American dream. When viewing the New Testament, we must be honest in evaluating the aspects that do not contribute to public health. The issue of poverty and political culture as it relates to the condition of the oppressed is always front and center. My first paper even though a narrative criticism paper focused on the need for political expediency over the true application of justice. This was demonstrated in Matthew 27: 11 26, where Jesus is brought before Pontius Pilate. The purpose of this unit was to illuminate the affair between politics and justice. During the reign of Justinian we see the construction of the San Vitale church in which there lies our first piece of art to discuss. The mosaic depicts the second coming and it has Jesus sitting on the world and extending a wreath to the martyr Saint Vitalis. The artist here chose to add a small landscape, but Christ is not in it. We can infer that this shows that the artists has a more divine rendition of Jesus and we can see this also rendered in the separation of contact with the saints. This piece shows the hardening of the Byzantine style and the distancing of Christ that contradicts the views of the Early Christian s. This is evident in the Byzantines choice of a gold sky over the Early Christians traditional blue one in Galla Placidia. The audience cannot deny that increased motivation and self improvement are essential in becoming successful. There is also pathos since the argument is optimistic by ... • 40. Spaying And Neuter Pets Essay the Arms of an Angel and there are dogs and cats sitting behind a closed kennel door looking at the camera with sad eyes. This breaks my heart every time I see this commercial or hear the song playing on the radio. There are many millions of animals that are unloved, neglected and abandoned in shelters each year because people do not participate in getting their animals spayed or neutered or the animals are over bred for profit. Animal overcrowding in shelters is only one reason of many as to why pet owners should spay or neuter their pets, but it is the most important reason of all. Shelters all over the United States are past the overcrowded level and even dog rescue groups are finding it harder and harder everyday to find homes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When you think about all these situations, the amount of animals in a shelter can rapidly increase every day, and this is very sad that we have done this to our furry friends . Spaying and neutering your animal can not only help with the overcrowding in shelters but can actually be beneficial to your home and pets. Male dogs and cats when un neutered have a tendency to mark their property. When they mark their territory it can lead to a very unpleasant smell in and around your home. Have you ever walked a dog and noticed them peeing frequently on fire hydrants, trees, corners or certain sections in the yard? This would be your male animal stating that he is a male. When you neuter your male animal, this behavior decreases and thus you can have a cleaner smelling house. Also, it is a recognizes concept amongst pet owners that getting your animal fixed can help with behavioral issues such as aggression, dominance, and also sexual arousal around a female animal. Female dogs and cats go into a heat cycle, similar to that of a female human. Their cycle causes them to bleed for about two weeks and can make quite the mess if you are not planning for it. Also, spaying can help with the females behavior as well; they mellow down and are less fussy. If you re a female you know that when you re on your cycle you can be temperamental, it s the same for female dogs and cats. There is also health related issues that are more prominent in animals that aren t ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. Symbolism In The Masque Of The Red Death Edgar Allan Poe s Masque of the Red Death , is a short story that takes place in the heart of a terrible time where a deadly pestilence takes the lives of those who face it. The main symptom of the Red Death is blood. The other symptoms include sharp pains, and sudden dizziness, and then profuse bleeding at the pores, with dissolution (Poe 4). What makes this plague so deadly is that the duration of the disease is no longer than half an hour, leaving the victim s face and body covered with blood. Prince Prospero has grown scared, so he recruits some of his closest friends and goes to a secluded castle in order to rebel against the plague (Poe 4). Months have passed and the Prince decides to celebrate their health and throws a masquerade ball. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The figure looks like a victim of the Red Death with His vesture was dabbled in blood and his broad brow, with all the features of his face, was besprinkled with the scarlet horror (Poe 6). As soon as he enters, Prince Prospero and his a thousand knights, one by one, fall bleeding out of their mouths into their inevitable death. The concept of the Red Death seems to come from the influences Poe has had with Tuberculosis and the epidemics of the Black Death. These three deadly diseases share similarities in symptoms and on how much lives they have taken. This story is a great reminder that death is nondiscriminatory and inevitable. This story not only reflects the events in his personal life but it explores the ways in how certain situations help shape people s actions and emotions (Caldwell par ... • 42. Disadvantages Of Union City Union City, Pennsylvania is where I have lived my entire life. It is a great, small, friendly town, depending on who you ask. Over the span of my lifetime, I have heard comments that vary about the residents overall satisfaction with Union City. To me, it is about neutral because the several advantages and disadvantages are nearly equal in my eyes. However, depending on your home life, social status, and personal liking, Union City may or may not be the town for you. Over the years, I become more thankful for my hometown because of the low crime rate unlike many other cities. Union City, previously known as Miles Mills ( History of Union City, PA ), was discovered by David Watts and William Mills in the year 1785 ( History... ). At one time, Union City, was considered The Chair Center of the World due to all the sawmills and chair factories within the city ( History... ). But sadly, now the town is only referred to as Incest City or Union Shitty, which is offensive to the citizens of the town. The sawmills and chair factories in the earlier centuries, currently are not functioning or have burned down in recent years, including the Ethan Allen building which burned down during my lifetime in 2010. The history of Union City may not be as exciting compared to larger cities, but it means so much to the residents or ancestors of people from here. According to the 2013 FBI Crime Report; someone is shot in Chicago every three hours and 16 minutes, an individual dies from a gunshot every 18 hours. The black on back crime rate is about 90%. In 2014 the FBI Crime Report, reported that even though Chicago s population is one fourth of the size of New York, it has nearly five times the homicides. This year Chicago crime has taken a turn for the worst, with a devastating murder that was truly shocked the nation and was a first for its kind. • 44. Recent Work On Follow The Perturbed Leader ( Ftpl )... Recent work on follow the perturbed leader (FTPL) algorithms for adversarial multi armed bandit problem has highlighted the role of the hazard rate of the distribution generating the perturbations. Assuming that the hazard rate is bounded allows one to provide regret analyses for a variety of FTPL algorithms for the multi armed bandit problem. This paper pushes the inquiry into regret bounds for FTPL algorithms beyond the bounded hazard rate condition. There are good reasons to do so: natural distributions such as the uniform and Gaussian violate the condition. We give regret bounds for both bounded support and unbounded support distributions without assuming the hazard rate condition. We also disprove a conjecture that the Gaussian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The former corresponds to infimal convolution smoothing and the latter corresponds to stochastic (or integral convolution) smoothing (Abernethy et al., 2014). Having a generic framework for understanding perturbations allows one to study a wide variety of online linear optimization games and a number of interesting perturbations. There has also been some work on understanding perturbation approaches in bandit problems. Kujala and Elomaa (2005) and Poland (2005) both showed that using the exponential (actually double exponential/Laplace) distribution in an FTPL algorithm coupled with standard unbiased estimation techniques yields near optimal O(NT logN) regret in T rounds with N arms. Unbiased estimation needs access to arm probabilities that are not explicitly available when using an FTPL algorithm. Neu and Bart´ok (2013) introduced the geometric resampling scheme to approximate these probabilities while still guaranteeing low regret. Recently, Abernethy et al. (2015) analyzed FTPL for adversarial multi armed bandits and provided regret bounds under the condition that the hazard rate of the perturbation distribution is bounded. This condition allowed them to consider a variety of perturbation distributions beyond the exponential, such as gamma, Gumbel, Frechet, Pareto, and Weibull. Unfortunately, the bounded hazard rate condition is violated by two of the most widely known distributions: namely the uniform1 and the Gaussian distributions. As a result, the ... • 45. Keats Poetry And The Imitation Of Spenser According to Scott, Keats followed Spenser and Shakespeare to represent the faeries in his Poems and Imitation of Spenser. Keats extended meditation on the faery world to begin the more mature Hyperion fragments. The poem was read as conflating the defeat of the Titans by the Olympians with the defeat of the British Celts by the romans: Keats was attempting to write the epic of the Celts (226). Here Saturn was paralleled with Ossian and Moneta was seen as the Druids in The Fall Hyperion who picked out sacrificial victims. Keats major poem, The Eve of St Agnes was the most widespread and convincing, perhaps because, along with La Belle Dame sans Merci, the poem was obviously taken up with the world of faerie. Scott writes in Keats s Poetry and the Politics of the Imagination that Keats himself wished, among the English poets (Scott, Keats s Poetry and the Politics of the Imagintion by Daniel P. Watkins, 1991, p. 408) His studies had been much more taken with language and psychology than with history or politics. It was given in Watkins s book that Keats spent more time reading The Examiner than reading Milton and Shakespeare and due to that reason he was more influenced by Hunt than the library of Cowden Clarke (409). At that time, Keats appeared too much like an essayist, a journalist, a commentator, and not enough like a poet. In this light, Watkins reads the extreme individualism and subjectivity of Keats s poetry as a sign of the bourgeois fragmentation of human life (409). In his longer poem Endymion, he built a journey for liberating individual power as a response to social disintegration. This involved the active denial of the public world and the ensuing sacrifice of history, society, and women for the designs of the private self. In Isabella, the relations of production and human experience under capitalism; in Hyperion, the true complexity of the social and historical conflict that threatens the Titans; in Lamia, the realities of existence in a market economy; and in Ode on a Grecian Urn there was everything: history, politics, colonialism, the oppression of women, rape, and the destruction of Greece. In this book, Keats s use and misuse of history were also provoking, that was to say, the Marxist machinery was appeared too large and Keats s politics were viewed through an example governed by reductive oppositions, broad definitions of the bourgeoisie, and unchallenged ideological assumptions about the peaceful conditions of the pre capitalist agricultural ... • 46. The Effects Of Nextgen On Nas Delays At Major Airports The Effects of NextGen on NAS Delays at Major Airports The national aviation system is under increasing demand for more and more flights as air passenger numbers continue to rise. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aerospace Forecast Fiscal Years 2015 2035 report estimates an annual growth of 2.0 percent per year from 2016 2035. This will equate to an average of 1.14 billion passengers flying within the U.S. per year by the end of year 2035 (n.d., p. 47). As the number of aircraft flying increase to accommodate passenger demand, the number of aircraft delays and risk to flight safety are also likely to increase. The current air traffic control (ATC) infrastructure evolved from the World War II era and wasn t designed to handle the predicted air traffic loads of the 21st century (Hopkin, Wise Garland, 2010). In order to update the ATC system to increase its capacity, the FAA, along with other select governing bodies have started implementing NextGen. At an estimated cost of $18 billion through the year 2018, the NextGen system uses emerging technology and is constantly facing challenges (United States Federal Aviation Administration, 2010). These challenges delay the benefits received through the use of NextGen which add to the ongoing NAS delays and risk the safety of future flights in the oversaturated airways. Although some delays are being experienced in NextGen prorams, 30 major airports now have NextGen capabilities (NextGen Airports, 2016). The cost ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Michelangelo s and Bernini s depict David as a young man or someone that could actually fight, they make him look muscular and more defined than Donatello s depiction also Donatello s is the only sculpture casted in bronze rather than the other two being made of marble. Also the hair in Donatello s David is longer and more of a biblical looking David than the others. They are all in different times as well the first made sculpture was Donatello s and his David was made after the battle of him and Goliath, but Michelangelo s is seen as right before the battle when he is looking at Goliath. And the last made was Bernini s and in his David is in the action of throwing the stone at Goliath. In Michelangelo s David he is just made by himself with one thing keeping him up where in the others David s is in a action like throwing in Bernini s or is standing on something like in Donatello s. The facial expressions in all of these are actually quite different as well if you really look at them. In Bernini s his face is distressed and in concentration. However, their motivations also differ greatly. The Spanish conquistadors also gained slaves from the native people, as well as spreading the word of Christianity. The English settlers came to the New World to get away from the religious oppression in England and to practice religion freely, and to grow tobacco to send back to England. These conquests led to other conquests with the motivation of more gold and more land. Another conqueror, Francisco Pizarro, also led his men to capture an emperor, Atahualpa of the Incans, and held him for a ransom of silver and gold. With this gold and silver, as well as land, they executed Atahualpa. These violent raids proved beneficial to the Spanish, helping them spread their conquered land further south in the Americas. This quest made the Spanish not only rich in silver and gold, but in land and with slaves, by use of violent force. The English had similar motivations to that of the Spanish, and were even inspired by the success of the Spanish conquistadors to come to the New World and settle on new land. However, the motivations differed greatly as well. The English hoped to provide jobs for people in the New World that could not find them in England, also in hopes of helping England s economy. The colonists set up a colony at Jamestown to defend themselves against the Indians, and eventually Powhatan s people came forward to open the trade of corn with the colonists.
