Donald Trump Interpretation
Accomplishments will prove to be a journey, not a destination. Dwight D. Eisenhower
This quote represents all that an american president, and really just any leader of any country
should be. A president should be able to take the trip through elections or even their past political
or even business experiences and still be able to get to their final destination. No, the journey may
not be easy, but what it proves to the people they are trying to persuade is that they have the effort
to put forth and keep going. No matter what happens or how far they fall, the fact that they get
back up, brush off the dirt and trudge on through the slop of politics is enough the prove they have
more than what it takes to perform well in the white house.
Donald trump won the presidential election due to many reasons, but some reasons were stronger
than others. His stance on gun control and abortion touched the heart of many true americans, while
hilary was winning the average foreign vote, Donald trump was out getting the votes from the true
red, white, and blue supporting American citizens. The issue of gun control was an issue weighing
heavily on many Americans across the nation. Some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The choice of life is something that a person should not be able to take away. If two people have
sex and the female gets pregnant, whether it be by accident or on purpose it is their
responsibility to care for the infant that they produced. Life is a blessing to everyone, even if the
baby was not planned, it is not the parents choice to decide if the child lives or dies. That baby
has its own life and its own future to live to. Trump says that on the topic the government should
not pay for the process of abortion because it is denying a person its right. It is denying a person its
right to live and diminishing that on which this country stands

Recreation Evaluation
The therapeutic recreation process is a systematic method of planning and providing services for
individuals with disabilities. The process is based on a systems theory approach. The system is
designed for a guide for a well defined, goal oriented purpose to the activity or program being
provided. It involves four phases: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Use of the
therapeutic recreation process is not dependent on location, but on systematic and consistent use of
assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating services for people with disabilities. The process
is applied in settings like hospitals, long term facilities and useful in leisure educationand recreation
participation settings, like park and recreation... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The implementation phase involves coordinating and executing recreation activities proposed in the
plan, as well as documenting information about the individual (i.e. his or her responses), the
program (i.e. time of day, duration), and the activities (i.e. competitive vs. learning).
Implementation of the individual plan in the recreation setting requires focusing to social (i. e.
attitudinal), programmatic (i.e. adaptations), and environmental (i.e. accessibility) issues. For
example, general recreation programs in which people with disabilities can be included may not be
structured to accommodate people with a variety of disabilities. The therapists may implement
numerous adaptations or accommodations according to the individual s disability and have
knowledge and skills to make these adaptations to facilitate participation. Other factors that could
affect the implementation of the individual plan include inconsistent attendance of a participant
with a disability, unanticipated facility/environmental issues, lack of support from family
/caregivers, inconsistency of general recreation staff, and inappropriate program placement.
The therapist conducts evaluations on the client s skills at the end of the twelve week program by
asking the same series of questions asked in the assessment phase and conducting an

Congress Rule 1937
Government of India Act, 1935:
The Government of India Act, 1935 was formulated after long deliberations but was not fully
promulgated but the only provincial part was introduced in the country, the central part was not
introduced. The British govt deliberated on it and then the British parliament passed this law and
then the king signed this law and this became the govt of India Act of 1935, under which the
elections of 1937 would be held elections were held. The Muslim League criticized this law for a
number of reasons and the same was the case with the Congress party but agreed to contest
provincial elections to make advantage of the opportunities being provided under the govt of India
Act.
The 1937 Elections:
Provincial elections were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Congress won 18 seats and the Akali Dal, 10.[8] In Bengal, though the Congress was the
largest party (with 52 seats), The Krishak Praja Party of A. K. Fazlul Huq(with 36 seats) was able
to form a coalition government.
[edit]The Muslim League
The election results were a blow to the League. After the election,Muhammad Ali Jinnah of the
League offered to form coalitions with the Congress. The League insisted that the Congress should
not nominate any Muslims to the ministries, as it (the League) claimed to be the exclusive
representative of Indian Muslims. This was not acceptable to the Congress, and it declined the
League s offer.
Projection of Congress:
The Congress projected itself as an all India force representing all religions and factions of the
society. The Muslim League contested for the Muslim seats. The ML focused only on the
Muslims because it claimed to be the sole representative of the Muslims. There was a tough
competition from the other Muslim organizations in different provinces which were also claiming
to be the representatives of the Muslims. In this way the ML was not only competing with the
Congress only but with a number of other Muslim groups and political parties at the provincial
level. The elections were completed in February 1937. And if we look at the results of these
elections we

Location Plan Essay
Location Plan
The Location Plan includes the purchasing of Insurance policy, contacting the City of Minneapolis,
and obtaining various permits. The permits required are:
Park permit apply immediately after insurance
Alcohol permit 30+
Insurance post park permit
Food permit 10+
Planning an event of this scale requires obtaining many permits from the city. First however we
need to purchase an insurance policy with at least $300,000 of coverage probably more in order
to be eligible for the permits. Once we have this policy we need to first get the permits for the
park we wish to hold the event in, namely Van Cleve Park in Como. These first permits include the

specific operations. As purchases start rolling around, the financial analyst must ensure all the bills
are being paid in the right amount and on time. Lastly, it is the job of the financial analyst to work
with retail vendors, food vendors, and visitors to collect the slot and admission fees and transferring
them to organizations that support the homeless in Minneapolis. A person in this role must have
some financial background and have an eye for detail.

European Union s Foreign Policy
Introduction
Many authors over several decades have made an attempt to conceptualize and analyze European
Union s Foreign policy. Some interpret the policy to be an ongoing puzzle , emerging from the
distinction of either being a derivative policy of a common Union, or being a policy of
cooperation amongst the independent EU member states, while the others consider the policy area
to be a moveable feast in a state of constant flux . (Christiansen Tonra, 2005) (Smith H. , 2002) .
There are even those academicians who presume that European Union does not have a foreign
policy as it is not a sovereign institution, but is a common negotiation body institutionalized by the
member states in order to formulate certain mutually favorable ... Show more content on

Thus, the GOALS Means End approach is an essential element of an international policy actor
(Tocci , 2007). Through a series of official and legal arrangements, EU under the Maastricht Treaty
declarations in 1992, outlined a set of five Foreign Policy objectives submitted under the Joint
Action of Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) . Further in 2003, the European Council
agreed on a a European Security Strategy (ESS) comprising of three core strategies: addressing
security threats; enhancing security in the EU s neighbourhood ; and creating an international order
based on effective multilateralism .
Arnold Wolfers, an eminent theorist of International Relations in 1962 advanced a theory,
outlining the differences amongst state policies pressing for preservation of POSESSION
GOALS against the ones putting efforts to reach the MILIEU GOALS . (Wolfers, 1962) The
policies drafted to enhance or preserve the national possessions such as the territory, citizenship,
etc. reflect the possessive nature of selfish states. In contrast, the policies drafted to shape the
environment of the state or in our case, the EU in order to provide stabilizing conditions beyond
the borders with a positive sum game for all, reflects the milieu goal policies.
The EU member states seek to

Sophocles The Greatest Minds
Sophocles is an Ancient Greek writer and philosopher, who wrote one of the greatest stories of all
tome Antigone. Sophocles is also said to be one of the greatest minds in achievements and times of
Sophocles . Sophocles was born about 496 BC at Colonus in Attica, near Athens and died 406 BC.
He lived in the most brilliant intellectual period of Athens. Sophocles, his father, was a wealthy
Athenian citizen and gave him a sound education in music, gymnastics, and dancing. He was well
known as having a reputation for leaving and esthetic taste. He was well versed in Homer and the
Greek lyric poets, and because of his industriousness he was known as the Attic Bee . Do to his

Sophocles wrote more than 120 tragedies, only a mear seven have survived. Plutarch tells us that
there were three periods in Sophocles literary developed: imitation of the grand style of
Aeschylus, use of artificial and incisive style, and use of the best style and that which is most
expressive of character. It is only from the third period we have examples of. The seven tragedies
that survive are Ajax 447 BC, Antigone 442/441 BC, Oedipusat Colonus 401 BC, and Tracheniae
437 432 BC, Oedipus Rex as a perfect tragedy. Sophocles made many improvements to plays such
as adding scene painting and a third actor. He increased the number of the chorus from twelve to
fifteen, and reduced the proportion of the play given to the chorus, thereby accelerating the progress
of the action; he also made better tragic masks and made many other technical improvements. A
grandmaster in the delineation of characters, he is credited with the invention of the heroic maiden,
and the ingenuous young man. Antigone is the young princess who pits herself against her uncle,
King Creon. She defies his cruel judgement forbidding the burial of her brother Polyneicess who in
attempt to invade Thebes and seize the thrown from his brother Eteocles, slew himself into mortal
combat and in turn was slain. Against the pleas of her sister Ismene and her fiancГ© Haemon.

Lake Forest University, an integrated community, consisting of various races was later renamed
Lake Forest College. Founded in 1857, this liberal arts college was established by Presbyterian
ministers and leaders who were also involved in the designs of most of the campus buildings
standing today. Campus buildings such as the Deerpath Hall, a residence hall, and the still in
process Lillard Science Center are what contribute to the representation of this private institution.
The Deerpath Hall was made in 1956 by architect Naess and Murphy and was later renovated in

It is after close examination of both the Lillard Center and the Deerpath Hall, that the viewer can
realize the presence of gravity defying elements present in both structures. Even though these
elements do not enhance each building s own function, it does, however, act as an ornament to the
overall design that attracts viewers attention. To portray this idea, the Deerpath Hall front structure
displays an illusion of even flatness in the building s main front wall. This is created by the top,
front section of the building s wall being indented inwards and thus, creating a hollow space. To
then create a sense of flatness, a small portion of its roof hovers over the indented part of the wall
in such a way that the illusion is formed. Not only does this added ornament conveyed a sense of
awe in the viewer, but also demonstrates the college s in this century attempt to portray a sense of
the future through the incorporation of modern elements present in architecture during this time
period. The used of modern architectural elements such as transparent glass present in the front
of the building as well as around it creates a sense of openness to the viewer as well as helps
portray the environment s ability to be open minded. Moreover, instead of the Lillard Center
having a gable roof such as the one in Deerpath Hall, Lillard s rooftop is flat. The building s

which is responsible for offering British government and military foreign intelligence, was
founded over 100 years ago. Yet, its existence had been kept as secret for almost a century and

Special Operations Executives (SOE) the SIS expanded their faculties and started a new agenda:
against Soviet Union. During the Cold Warera, there were constantly penetrations from both Britain

the numerous Soviet s agents who were in the vital position inside the British Intelligence

Cambridge Spies which consisted of three other graduated students from the University of

how the Underground Railroad thrived. The book describes the abolition movement and how it

Case Study of Developmental Theories Essays
Maslow s hierarchy of needs can be presented in a pyramid, featuring the most basic and
necessary needs for survival in the bottom levels. The hierarchy of needs says that we must fulfil
our needs in a particular order; the lowest level must be fulfilled first before being able to move up
the pyramid. Reference: http://www.simplypsychology.org/maslow.html The first level of the
hierarchy is the physiological needs, which include, the need for food, water, shelter and warmth.
Most people should achieve this as a baby. These are the needs that are necessary for survival.
Without these it is impossible for a human to function. The second level of the hierarchy is safety
needs, which include, the need for security (financially,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The last level is self actualisation, which is the hardest level to achieve. This level is where a
person realises their full potential and works to be the best that they can be. This can be
achieved anywhere from mid adulthood. To achieve this level of the hierarchy a person must
not only fulfil the other levels, but they must master them. In the case study, Amy seems to be in
the love and belonging level. It s evident that Amy is in a safe, secure environment and that her
physiological needs are taken care of. Amy lives comfortably with her family, meaning she has
achieved the first two levels of Maslow s hierarchy of needs. This makes it possible for Amy to
be beginning to achieve the third level. Amy s strong and positive relationship with her older
sister Claire and her strong bond with her grandparents convey the loving relationships and the
acceptance that is needed to achieve this level. Amy gains a sense of belonging and acceptance
through the group of friends outside of her life at home as well. Piaget s theory states that there
are four different stages in cognitive development. These stages are the Sensorimotor stage, Pre
operational stage, Concrete Operational stage and the Formal Operational stage. The first stage,
Sensorimotor occurs from birth to two years. This stage was based off of the ideas and images we
have about what things are and how we use or deal with them or schemas. Much of the focus

The door to the bulky module unlatched to a whirr, and from behind it emerged a figure cladded

theorists, who will swear by their beliefs despite the standard opinion of the television and the

As the New York Herald in Paris remarked, It is difficult to fly. It is easy to say, We have flown,
two things fueled skepticism in the face of scientific achievement: a disbelief in technological
capabilities, and a lack of demonstrable results. The Apollo missions extinguished both
concerns. In terms of technology, hoax believers frequently mention the Soviets constant lead in
the Space Race. They achieved many firsts, but were never able to send men to the moon; it
seems logical, then, that this feat must have been beyond the Americans as well. But in reality,
the United States was never far behind. In fact, by 1965, it overtook its rival, reaching many
milestones that were key to manned lunar missions (e.g. space rendezvous). NASA, thus, was
in a good position to travel to the moon and to the moon it traveled. As noted in Lunar Rocks and
Soils from Apollo Missions, it even brought back some souvenirs, in the form of 842 pounds of
moon rocks. These samples possess unique properties unseen in any Earth counterparts, and to
forge these rocks in such large volumes would have been impossible. Rocks aside, there are other
reasons to believe in the moon landings as well: reflectors left on the lunar surface, or landing site
imagery, to name a few. Surely, the validity of the landings lacks no evidence in support. Then
again, the vast majority of us have never been in space, on the moon,

Amelia At Devil s Bridge Sparknotes
The Effects of Father Abandonment in the Caribbean
Amelia at Devil s Bridge by Joanne Hillhouse is a short Caribbean literary work that focuses on
the life of a 13year old teenage girl who is found lifeless at Devil s Bridge in the island of
Antigua and Barbuda. Amelia s dad walks out of her life despite that fact that she is just an
adolescent. Her mom is filled with vexation and repeatedly lashes Amelia drawing the attention and
interference of the social workers from the island. Child parent relationship is crucial in a young

The author makes it clear to the reader that Amelia had internalize the fact that her father had
abandoned her. This is evident when Amelia said, When Daddy left she wanted to go with him,
but he walked away and didn t look back implying that frustration and pain of not having her
father around and not being called Daddy s girl any more emotionally affects her (Hillhouse 127).
In Huffington Post article, Moskovitch stated that the abandonment of a father may convince a
child that it resulted entirely because of something they did or did not do or that they are not
worthy of any future accolades or love in life. So then, the absence of a father damages a child self

They don t contemplate the one thing with the most beauty, the beach. When most hear the word

Conclusion:
Within this experiment we could verify the passage of water from a region of high concentration
through a region of a lower concentration for when the potato was surrounded by a concentrated
environment (lower water potential) the potato lost mass, and when it was surrounded by a dilute
environment (higher water potential) it gained mass.
We could also estimate, with the graph, the concentration at which the potato neither loses nor

Henry V Irony
The Irony Depicted in Shakespeare s Henry V
As Norman Rabkin has observed, Henry V is a play which organizes critics into rival camps of
interpretation (35). It can be seen as a play that is ambiguous; a play that exposes the playwright s
own indecision; a play that aggressively takes sides in favour of nationalistic fervour which
Shakespeare himself didn t believe in (35). All of these views, writes Rabkin, are wrong since
according to him the play s ultimate power lies in its ability to point in two opposite directions,
virtually daring us to choose one of the two opposed interpretations (36). In fact, it is Rabkin that is
wrong: not in his supposition that the play dares the audience to choose, but rather, that a reading ...

In the case of the duplicity of Scrope and the other traitors, Henry makes them examples during
their public humiliation (Brennan 42), a public demonstration, furthermore, of his sense of
injury. In Rabkin s words, he knows how to give a good performance, verification of his political
acumen (Either/Or 45). Unlike his predecessors, this is a king who can recognize that he is in
fact a role more than he is a man, and that ceremony consists only in what is conferred by others.
(Rabkin 46). He is so dangerously pragmatic because he is far less detectable and unsettling
because he has none of Richard III s vice like propensity, and we are liable to find his image
building similar to modern politicians (Brennan 24).
This is precisely the kind of brutal clarity that helps in his construction and use of the U.K. s
burgeoning state hood as we know it in the modern sense: the modern world in which every
action of a leader is shaped for public consumption (Brennan 32). The nation is but a mass of
potential chaos, a multiplicity which only reaches its potential as a political, unitary force when it
is summoned for battle. Henry s use of his soldiers for instance, and stress on unity (their shared
experience and camaraderie of Act ....), leads to the illusory notion that there is a possibility of
nobility for those who earn it (Brennan

Rights Revolution In Canada
The concept of the rights revolution in Canada is one that is thoroughly explored by Michael
Ignatieff in The Rights Revolution, 2007. To Michael Ignatieff the rights revolution (the creation
of laws surrounding the rights of a diverse Canada) achieved what it set out to accomplish equal
rights for all Canadians, no matter their ethnicity, gender, social status, sexual orientation, or age
(Ignatieff, 2007). For modern day Canadian families it is important to recognize that this is not the
case. In many cases the laws enacted around family law do not protect the interests of the
individual or the group. In divorce court women are often favoured over men, simply because of
their gender. Furthermore, there are cases where the race of the child... Show more content on

He explores the idea of adoption by same sex couples and the adversity they face in becoming
parents. He believes that recognition is the way to achieve equality in adoption. Ignatieff still
believes that the rights revolution has done its duty, regardless of the severe lack of rights for
all people (Ignatieff, 2007, 86). The idea of same sex adoption was explored by Epstein,
Goldfinger, Ross, and Yager, 2009. They found that despite the fact that adoption by same sex
couples has been legal in Canada since the early 2000s, there are still barriers preventing them
from adopting. Same sex couples often experience rampant homophobia or heterosexism (the
belief that all people should be heterosexual). As adoption is handled on a best interest policy, it
is very easy for decision makers personal beliefs to cloud their judgement and to decide not to
place a child with a family based on their sexual orientation. In spite of the laws and rights
surrounding adoption, many same sex couples are considered unfit parents (Epstein et al, 2009,
453 454). It is clear that the rights of all Canadians are not

The Tasks Of A Freelancer
As 16th April is observed as Stress Awareness Day and April as Stress Awareness Month, I wish
to share a few tips that can help you all, specifically freelancers, to lead a stress free and happy
life. Nevertheless, stress is often contemplated as negative feeling, but preparing yourself to
reducing and pacing with it is the gateway to many great opportunities.
The tasks of a freelancer, is a slackly defined amalgam of projects, tasks, time, and a plethora of
other responsibilities to stretch you in all direction possible. There are times, it often happens to
me, when it all gets too much to handle and you burry under the weight of what seems to be almost
impossible. Any freelancer at some stage of his/her career is going to encounter such situation. But
such moments of anxiety are like water bubbles which fade away instantly. To alleviate stress and
remain focused on your business you can do a lot in your daily life. Here are some tips that have
always worked as panacea for me.
1. Optimistic Thinking: Positive thinking is a powerful weapon in weeding out the negative vibes.
Going Orwellian is not the solution, it means you appropriately address the negative and emphasize
the positive.
2. Take it lightly: Most of your worries are not within your control, especially if you are a
freelancer. Let the worries go. There is no point of worrying over something that is beyond your
territory.
3. Relax: Take time off your schedule to learn some relaxation techniques and

What Is The Theme Of The Waking By Theodore Roethke
Poem Analysis: The poem titled The waking written by Theodore Roethke (1908 1963) made in
the year 1953. Analyzing this poem, it has a deeper meaning than what it implies on the surface.
As a whole, the poem tries to connote the big idea of life and death. With the additional twist of
fate and the flow of life included. Of how the logicof being awake is rather bleak in comparison of
being asleep, somewhat to the otherworldly. Considering the time period, and author s
background; it isn t surprising to think why Roethke wrote this type of poem. This poem is a
villanelle, a 19 line poem made out of 5 tercets and followed by a quatrain. There are two key
repeating rhymes written on the first and last lines of the first stanza, which is repeated alternatively
until the end of the poem (quatrain), where it is joined together as an... Show more content on

place. The ground being a symbolism as part of the cycle of life, where the dead will dissolve,
and produces new life. Enforcing the key lines of learn by going where I have to go. Again,

The Visual Recognition Of Image Patterns
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1. Background to the Study
As a scientific discipline, computer vision is concerned with the extraction of information from
images to be employed in a decision making process. The image data can take many forms, such
as video sequences, still images, digitized maps, diagrams and sketches. These images may be in
colour format, grey scale or in binary format. The common approach is to extract characteristic
features from the image either in the spatial domain or in some suitable transform domain. Whether
the goal is classification or recognition, a measure of similarity or distance must be formulated and
the success rate of the system evaluated. Some of the application areas of computer vision are:
1.1.1.Robotics
The visual recognition of image patterns is a fundamental human attribute that uses the eye as a
sensor and dedicated parts of the brain as the decision making processor. The visual recognition
enables humans to perform a variety of tasks such as target identification, ease of movement,
handling tools, communication among others. Advances in sensing and visual perception
techniques have enabled some of these attributes to be transferred to robots. For example,
identification of colour is a useful asset in a robot in an industrial automation process that involves
sorting. [1], [2], [3]
1.1.2. Industrial Inspection
Industrial inspection is an area in which pattern recognition is of importance. A pattern recognition
system captures images

Job Description
Producers have financial and administrative control over the making of movies, plays, and TV
shows. Producers hire directors, principal members of the cast, and negotiate contracts with artistic
personnel, often in accordance with collective bargaining agreement ( Actors, Directors, and
Producers 180). Together with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Producers who work for large film companies usually have experience both in films and
business. The job of producer can be approached from either field. A lot of money goes into
these productions, and the producer s job is to raise the money needed and see that it s spent
wisely. It s the producer s responsibility for ultimately turning a profit for the investors. A good
producer would recognize a successful show or movie while it s still in planning stages. A smart
producer spots a bad idea, more often than not, before too much money is wasted on it (CIC 154).

have also trained as actors in dramatic arts schools. People who may be accepted need at least a
bachelor s degree or two years of on set experience and also must pass written tests. Courses in
acting and communications can be helpful. College drama courses in liberal arts, stage speech and

Prosocial Behavior And Behavior Behaviors
Prosocial behavior is behavior that is intended to benefit someone else; behaviors such as helping
others, comforting, sharing, cooperative, reasoning, defending, and showing (Fiske, 2014).
Prosocial behavior is doing things for others with expecting something in return, but their different
types of prosocial behaviors. There are Egoism, altruism, collective and principlism (Fiske, 2014),
all similar but also different. Altruism is helping someone out of consideration rather than one owns
needs (Fiske, 2014)). When you are thinking about helping someone you always assume they are
only doing it so they can receive something in return but why not think they are doing it just
because they wantto. When it comes to altruism, it is said that people to do things because they
feel empathy. The empathy altruistic hypothesis states if a person is in need empathetic feelings
come such as sympathy, compassion, tenderness and like (Hogg Cooper, 2007). If there is a car
on the side of the road with a flat tire, many people will not stop they will keep going, they may
have the assumption that a tow truck is coming or someone else is going to come, especially if
they are in a rush they will not stop. But you have some people who will feel emotions and stop
because they would not want this happening to them, they will pull over and help regardless of
what they have to do, or about to be late to. There could also be a downfall to this. Beggars take

The United States Vs. The Federal Election Commission
One of the most controversial court cases that has pitted the main political forces against each other
this past decade has been the controversial Citizens United vs. the Federal Election Commission.
The background of the case, as taken from the website of the FEC states the following:
The Federal Election Campaign Act (the Act) prohibits corporations and labor unions from using
their general treasury funds to make electioneering communications or for speech that expressly
advocates the election or defeat of a federal candidate.
With the advent of this court decision, the Supreme Court of the United states found that Citizens
United fim degrading a political candidate (Hillary Clinton to be exact) through the process of
marketing and advertising a film was protected under the umbrella of the First Amendment
guarding political speech. Such monetization of the political process calls into question the strength
of the current democracy and the ounces of corruption that could soon turn into pounds. There are
few nation states that one could point to as being truly corruption free (Denmark hosts the most
corruption free gov t according to Transparency International s 2014 Corruption Perceptions Index).
However, this is a trait that holds back the growth of the whole of society, weakening the
disadvantaged and emboldening the powerful. As Transparency International goes on to state:

The Social Factors Of Public Interest In Public...
Public interest refers to the social factors or influence decision making by administrators in public
administration. Public interest in public administration falls in four broad categories. Firstly is the
perfectionist point of view. Under this, public interest is viewed from the point of excellence
promotion in social activities. According to this view, public resources should be spent in a manner
that most of the society members benefit fully from. Herring, E. P. (1936). Public administrationand
the public interest.
Secondly is the intuitionist category. Under this category in case of conflicting situations, the
administration chooses an option by intuition. This is to say that an organization chooses an
intuitionist solution that seems the right course of action to be undertaken in given circumstances.
Herring, E. P. (1936). Public administration and the public interest. Another on is derived from the
theory of justice. This is as pronounced by the philosopher John Rawls. He suggests that two basic
principles of justice to be followed in testing public interest n public administration . Actually, one
of this is that every individual ought to have equal right to the most extensive basic liberty that is
compatible with another liberty for others. Finally, is the utilitarianism category. According to this
particular category public interest is served when a given public policy makes one a little better off
even though it may make some individuals somehow worse.

Comparing Baz Luhrmann s Romeo And Juliet
When people think about Shakespeare they may think it is serious and boring, but really it
doesn t have to be. The stories can be exciting and dramatic to all ages. A director named Baz
Luhrmann made a film that was a modern day version of Romeo and Juliet. In Baz Luhrmann s
film of Romeo and Juliet, he made decisions regarding actors, setting and costumes because he
wanted to attract a younger crowd since Romeo and Juliet is a story about two young lovers.
One way Luhrmann attracted a young crowd was by making the time and place of the film
more modernized. Luhrmann s film was located in Verona beach, NY, instead of filming in
Verona, Italy. Filming in Verona beach gives the film more of a interesting feel for young adults
to watch, because some of the play is in the city area and some is on the beach. In contrast to,
Verona, Italy, where it was filmed in a boring and old town. In addition, the film is set in the 1900
s instead of the 1500 s which makes the film feel more modernized. Changing the setting of the
film to be more modern appeals a younger crowd because it makes the film less tedious.... Show

In the play, the Montagues wear hawaiian shirts, and the Capulets wear suits. At the Capulet s
party, Romeo dresses up as a knight and Juliet dresses up as an angel. This was clever of
Luhrmann because it relates to the phrase, Carried away by a man in knight in shining armour.
Another clever decision he makes was when he has Tybalt dress as a devilish looking man. This
is coincidentally showing that he is Romeo s devil and is always trying to ruin Romeo s life.
These costumes make it easier to follow and understand the story, tell characters apart, and make
the Shakespeare story less formal. This contributes to the interest of the younger eye because a
more modern looking play is more

all started with the Indian Act in 1867. The British believed that their culture was superior to the

Density And Sg By Hydrometer Method
Density and SG by Hydrometer Method
Objective
The purpose of this practical is to determine the specific gravity and density of samples of
methylated spirit of different concentrations, using a hydrometer.
Introduction
Theory
Specific gravity (SG) is defined as the ratio between the density of a liquid to the density of water
at a temperature of 4oC and pressure of 1 atm. It is of great importance when quoting the
specific gravity of a substance to refer to the temperature and pressure at which the measurement
was taken, especially because the density of water tends to vary significantly with temperature.
For example, at 15oC the density of water is 0.9991 g/cm3, while at 4oC the density is at its
maximum of 1 g/cm3. Pressure, on the other hand, is almost always 1 atm. It is most common to
refer specific gravity to a temperature and pressure of 4oC and 1 atm.
Hydrometer
The hydrometer is an instrument usually made of glass, which is used to measure the specific
gravity or density of a liquid. It is composed of a cylindrical stem over a bulb that is weighted with
a small amount either mercury or lead to ensure it floats upright.
The function of a hydrometer is a result of Archimedes principle which states that any body which
is partially or completely submerged in a fluid at rest, is acted on by an upward buoyant force
which is equal in magnitude to the weight of the fluid displaced by the body. Consequently, the
hydrometer will sink further, the lower the density of the

Personally, I didn t mind the novel s plot, which despite the racy sex scenes, is based on the young

Examples Of Direct Characterization In Of Mice And Men
One of the most astounding books Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, took place in one of the
darkest time period in American History, the Great Depression. The setting of the book took
place in a small country town in Soledad California, near the Salinas River. This book introduces
the two main characters, George Milton, and Lennie Small with real life struggles of being
migrant farm workers for a ranch. The story opens up with one of the many conflicts that George
and Lennie will face throughout the whole story; George and Lennie running away from Weed
after feeling a girls red dress. Although Lennie commits certain acts of violence in Of Mice and
Men John Steinbeckportrays Lennie Small as having the traits common to the innocent archetype.
John Steinbeck portrays Lennie s characterizations through indirect and direct characterizations.
Indirect characterization is when the author will describe a person about how they are through
context clues but not directly saying it. For example, No whatta want? Let s have different color
rabbits George. (Steinbeck 16). That is indirect characterization for Lennie being childish because
John Steinbeck does not come straight out and say that Lennie is childish, but readers can tell by
the context that he is childish. Direct characterization is when the author comes right out to the
readers and says the characters traits. For instance, Behind him walked his opposite, a huge man...
(Steinbeck 2). This being direct characterization

Supportive Nature In The Goldfinch
Tartt s novel, The Goldfinch, portrays that humans are inherently good in spite of their mistakes
and wrongdoings. This is displayed through Theo s journey as guided by Boris supportive
nature, Hobie s eternal wisdom and the compassion exhibited by even those who play a
seemingly insignificant role in Theo s life. Argument Number One Boris Supportive Nature: In
the desolate and forlorn area of Las Vegas where Theo resides, Boris provides comfort and
support to Theo as he begins a new life without his mother. Although Boris makes many
reprehensible decisions, it is his kind nature and inherent goodness that allow him to provide
Theo with a sense of excitement, loyalty and direction to his life, leading him to discover his
inner morality. When you feel homesick, he said, just look up. Because the moon is the same
wherever you go (254). In a time of grief and loneliness, Boris aids Theo in finding comfort in
what he has. Even though the rest of his life and the world around him are uncertain, the moon is
stationary and unchanging, providing a sense of familiarity and comfort, no matter the location.
None of us ever find enough kindness in the world, do we? (282) Again, in a time of sadness and

nobody is ever satisfied with what they have and that Theo must hold onto whatever kindness
exists, for if one is never able to find enough, it is not worth letting any slip

Voodoo In African American Culture
Voodoo is the modernized term for Haitian Vodou. It developed in Haiti during the slavery era
when African Caribbean slaves were working on plantations. It has roots in African American
spirituality, in Native American practices, and in Roman Catholicism. The central understanding in
voodoo is that it is more about what you do than it is what you believe. While it may be referred to
as a religion, this is actually more of a way of life for those who practice and participate in rituals.
In doing these rituals, the practitioners are engaging in worship of the Lwa which is Haitian
Creole for a group of spirits. These spirits act as an intermediary between the practitioners and God

The Hon gan began by addressing the spirits they serve in the form of prayer. Everyone has spirits
that they serve in this community. These spirits are usually adopted from your ancestors. For
example, my Hon gan explained to me that he adopted his spirits from his parents and he has other
specific spirits that walk with him which mean that are just with him. To continue with, in order for
the ritual to commence they needed to ask the spirits for authorization. Each one of the Hon gan
s spirits were called on and asked if he could proceed with the ritual. After they gave him that
authorization, he pulled out a powder. Powders in these rituals are generally used to amplify the
ritual. In this case, the powder was used so that the spirits can carry the message of the Hon gan.
It is the powder that allows the Hon gan to ask for what he needs. The priest blowed this powder
into the air in four directions. Then he took out a white jar candle. Traditionally white is a color
which is used to signal spiritual blessings. He marked this candle with a knife. This is done so

prayer, that the spirit gives the Hon gan passage. The Hon gan entered this passage and lit a

The Solution To Save Many Lives From The War Over Land Between Israel And Palestine
Mr. Virmani
World History Honors
The Arab Israeli conflict is a battle for land between two sides. One side is the Arabian community
and the other side is the Palestinian community. The Arabians are saying that the land belongs to
them because God told them that it was their promised land or holy land. The Palestinians are
coming into the land a attempting to claim it as theirs. This conflict is insane because both
communities are killing each other almost daily. It is also absurd because they could split the land
equally instead of harming or killing each other (Virmani, n.d.).

They also deserve to have the land because it has been discovered that the Arabs are related to the
original Arabs/Israelis.
I would create a state for the Palestinians people because it would probably stop the conflict
between the two communities. I also think it would lower the amount of terrorism drastically. Also
I believe that giving Palestine a state would lower the amount of civilians dying between Arabs and
Palestinians. If we give Palestine their own state we should let the Arabs and PAlestine have their
own separate government so that each state could live the way the wanted to and they would not
have to divide the rules and then argue over that(Karsh, n.d.) (Whitbeck, 2012). I would split Israel
in half and make them share Jerusalem and split that in half so that the Arabs would get half and
the Palestinians would get half of Jerusalem although it would be difficult. I would split Israel in
half so that the Arabs and the Palestinians would get an equal share of the land so that the Arabs
would get their holy land back. Even though the Palestinians will be getting less than they have now
it will work out because they are both getting equal land and they will both have a government to
govern each state separately(Virmani, n.d.) (Whitbeck, n.d.).
The positive effects of the U.S. keeping a close alliance with Israel are that Israel provides a lot of

Black Elk Speaks By John G. Neihardt
Black Elk Speaks is a book written by John G. Neihardt as well as Black Elk the Lakota healer.
This recounts the events in Black Elk s life including: Ghost Dances, Battle of Little Bighorn, and
Wounded Knee. The accounts of history in Black Elk Speaks reveals the late culture of the Plains
Indians as they were being eliminated by the America soldiers as well as American settlers pushing
into untamed territory. The Ghost Dance religion, tribal life, and reservation habitats were
portrayed very close to accurate in this book. Black Elks first hand account contributed greatly to
this. Black ElkSpeaks is constructed in an interview style of writing. The book uses phrases such
as: He said this or I asked this referring to Black Elk and Neihardt respectively. The book has little
symbolism and is written in more of a simplistic and straightforward manner. Black Elk Speaksis
considered a spiritual classic. At the beginning Black Elk and John Neihardtsmoke the red willow
in a traditional way in an offering to the Great Spirit (Elk). Smoking was a common occurrence
in Indian life and smoking red willow or the mixture named kinnikinnick was used to make the
tobacco go further due to short supply (Mails 101). According to Mails, horses were able to
smell the scent of the Indians due to kinnikinnik from great distances (Mails 101). Black Elk
begins telling his life story introducing his boyhood as we ll as his first vision. Black Elk, a Lakota
healer, has visions that inspire

Scientist Why Research is ImportantSchool professionals have an increased awareness of the way
the term research based is being used by publishers. It has become a completely meaningless
phrase in recent years. Every type of intervention, assessment, or curriculum product now carries
the label research based. In particular, intervention publishers shamelessly proclaim that their
products are based upon research despite a complete absence of scientifically based research.
Reasonable care can be taken by school based professionals to determine if a product has ... Show

These skills or behaviors are arranged in an instructional hierarchy which, when properly
understood and used, takes students to very high levels of achievement. This view has
influenced the development and nature of iSTEEP assessments. The assessments used in RTI
are most frequently those which derive from curriculum based measurement (CBM). CBM type
assessments originated in Precision Teaching (PT) with individuals such as Clay Starlin using
oral reading fluency probes and phonemic awareness probes in the late 1960 s and early 1970 s
prior to the invention of CBM by Stan Deno in the late 1970 s. The use of assessment in iSTEEP
is more aligned with the original goals of PT than with CBM as it has evolved. A major
difference between PT and CBM is the manner in which performance criteria are established
used. Binder (1990) conducted an analysis of CBM and PT and observed differences in how
standards for performance (now called benchmarks) are developed and used. PT uses
performances standards. A performance standard is the level of performance for a skillthat will
support retention, maintenance and application of the skill. Data are used to set performance
standards for important prerequisite skills such as phonemic awareness and oral reading fluency so
that acquisition of these tool skills leads to smooth and quick progression through a curriculum or
skill hierarchy. In contrast CBM

Immature And Mature Love
In The Art of Loving , the difference in immature and mature love is discussed. In the former, love
is indicated by craziness while in the latter, it is a state of productiveness with elements such as
care, respect and responsibility (Formm, 1989).
Immature love says I love you because I need you whereas immature love says I love you because I
need you . (Insert reference) Immature love is more or less based on emotions and couples are
attracted to each other s physical appearance more than their personality. After having read their
answers, I feel that they had displayed mature love. They knew one another from before but they
were attracted to each other after over a year of friendship. This attraction was not based solely on
good looks but by each other s personality. They ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Intimacy refers to a feeling of attachment, closeness, warmth and understanding between the couple.
Passion refers to physical arousal and desire, sexual longing and a strong emotional need. Lastly,
commitment refers to the decision to denote oneself and maintaining it. Although the two have
been together for only 8 months now, they have exhibited the different elements at different
points. One good example is the point of spending time together at different stages. Samuel is
present during her stressful period like exams. All he does is grabs some snacks for her and reads
a book while she studies. This displays the commitment and dedication to the relationship. Although
they have become close and are connected emotionally, they have yet to become passionately
involved or think about the far future. I would classify them under the liking category and are high
on intimacy as of now. Especially that it is an inter racial relationship, they are understanding of
each other s differences and work towards maintaining a fruitful

The First Japanese Dive Bombers
At 0755 the first Japanese dive bombers appeared over Hickam Field as well as Ford Island with
seconds between the two. Enemy torpedo planes and dive bombers swung in from various
sectors to concentrate their attack on the heavy ships moored in Pearl Harbor. This was the
beginning on the attack which would last for several hours destroying much of the Navy s
Pacific Fleet. The Empire of Japan surprised the US with the intention of crippling the country s
defenses, destroy the Pacific Fleet. Crippling America so they wouldn t be able to fight back as
Japan s armed forces spread across the South Pacific. On December 7, after months of planning
and practice, the Japanese launched their attack. On this day we lost more than 2,500 people
wounded at least 1,000 more. Of the ships 18 was lost and or damaged and the largest death toll
was from the USS Arizona where half of the casualties occurred. According to the US Navy s
after action report of the day 7 December, 1941 With the dropping of the first bombs on Ford
Island, Commander Patrol Wing TWO, at 0758, broadcast the warning to Al Ships Present: AIR
RAID, PEARL HARBOR. THIS IS NOT DRILL! A similar message from the Commander in
Chief followed a few minutes later.(NAVY) At 0730 the first wave of attacks which consisted of
torpedoes and dive bombers flew threw a dead zone in between the mountains of Oahu when the
planes emerged they radioed back to the carriers Tora, Tora, Tora which was the Japanese code

  • 2. Donald Trump Interpretation Accomplishments will prove to be a journey, not a destination. Dwight D. Eisenhower This quote represents all that an american president, and really just any leader of any country should be. A president should be able to take the trip through elections or even their past political or even business experiences and still be able to get to their final destination. No, the journey may not be easy, but what it proves to the people they are trying to persuade is that they have the effort to put forth and keep going. No matter what happens or how far they fall, the fact that they get back up, brush off the dirt and trudge on through the slop of politics is enough the prove they have more than what it takes to perform well in the white house. Donald trump won the presidential election due to many reasons, but some reasons were stronger than others. His stance on gun control and abortion touched the heart of many true americans, while hilary was winning the average foreign vote, Donald trump was out getting the votes from the true red, white, and blue supporting American citizens. Even though these elements do not enhance each building s own function, it does, however, act as an ornament to the overall design that attracts viewers attention. To portray this idea, the Deerpath Hall front structure displays an illusion of even flatness in the building s main front wall. They achieved many firsts, but were never able to send men to the moon; it seems logical, then, that this feat must have been beyond the Americans as well. All of these views, writes Rabkin, are wrong since according to him the play s ultimate power lies in its ability to point in two opposite directions, virtually daring us to choose one of the two opposed interpretations (36). Analyzing this poem, it has a deeper meaning than what it implies on the surface. As a whole, the poem tries to connote the big idea of life and death. With the additional twist of fate and the flow of life included. Of how the logicof being awake is rather bleak in comparison of being asleep, somewhat to the otherworldly. Considering the time period, and author s background; it isn t surprising to think why Roethke wrote this type of poem. This poem is a villanelle, a 19 line poem made out of 5 tercets and followed by a quatrain. • 22. The Visual Recognition Of Image Patterns CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1. Background to the Study As a scientific discipline, computer vision is concerned with the extraction of information from images to be employed in a decision making process. The image data can take many forms, such as video sequences, still images, digitized maps, diagrams and sketches. These images may be in colour format, grey scale or in binary format. The common approach is to extract characteristic features from the image either in the spatial domain or in some suitable transform domain. Whether the goal is classification or recognition, a measure of similarity or distance must be formulated and the success rate of the system evaluated. Some of the application areas of computer vision are: 1.1.1.Robotics The visual recognition of image patterns is a fundamental human attribute that uses the eye as a sensor and dedicated parts of the brain as the decision making processor. The visual recognition enables humans to perform a variety of tasks such as target identification, ease of movement, handling tools, communication among others. Advances in sensing and visual perception techniques have enabled some of these attributes to be transferred to robots. For example, identification of colour is a useful asset in a robot in an industrial automation process that involves sorting. [1], [2], [3] 1.1.2. Public interest in public administration falls in four broad categories. Firstly is the perfectionist point of view. Under this, public interest is viewed from the point of excellence promotion in social activities. According to this view, public resources should be spent in a manner that most of the society members benefit fully from. Herring, E. P. (1936). Public administrationand the public interest. This is to say that an organization chooses an intuitionist solution that seems the right course of action to be undertaken in given circumstances. Herring, E. P. (1936). Public administration and the public interest. Another on is derived from the theory of justice. This is as pronounced by the philosopher John Rawls. The stories can be exciting and dramatic to all ages. A director named Baz Luhrmann made a film that was a modern day version of Romeo and Juliet. In Baz Luhrmann s film of Romeo and Juliet, he made decisions regarding actors, setting and costumes because he wanted to attract a younger crowd since Romeo and Juliet is a story about two young lovers. One way Luhrmann attracted a young crowd was by making the time and place of the film more modernized. Luhrmann s film was located in Verona beach, NY, instead of filming in Verona, Italy. Filming in Verona beach gives the film more of a interesting feel for young adults to watch, because some of the play is in the city area and some is on the beach. In contrast to, Verona, Italy, where it was filmed in a boring and old town. In addition, the film is set in the 1900 s instead of the 1500 s which makes the film feel more modernized. • 33. Density And Sg By Hydrometer Method Density and SG by Hydrometer Method Objective The purpose of this practical is to determine the specific gravity and density of samples of methylated spirit of different concentrations, using a hydrometer. Introduction Theory Specific gravity (SG) is defined as the ratio between the density of a liquid to the density of water at a temperature of 4oC and pressure of 1 atm. It is of great importance when quoting the specific gravity of a substance to refer to the temperature and pressure at which the measurement was taken, especially because the density of water tends to vary significantly with temperature. For example, at 15oC the density of water is 0.9991 g/cm3, while at 4oC the density is at its maximum of 1 g/cm3. Pressure, on the other hand, is almost always 1 atm. It is most common to refer specific gravity to a temperature and pressure of 4oC and 1 atm. Hydrometer The hydrometer is an instrument usually made of glass, which is used to measure the specific gravity or density of a liquid. It is composed of a cylindrical stem over a bulb that is weighted with a small amount either mercury or lead to ensure it floats upright. The function of a hydrometer is a result of Archimedes principle which states that any body which is partially or completely submerged in a fluid at rest, is acted on by an upward buoyant force which is equal in magnitude to the weight of the fluid displaced by the body. Consequently, the hydrometer will sink further, the lower the density of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Examples Of Direct Characterization In Of Mice And Men One of the most astounding books Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, took place in one of the darkest time period in American History, the Great Depression. The setting of the book took place in a small country town in Soledad California, near the Salinas River. This book introduces the two main characters, George Milton, and Lennie Small with real life struggles of being migrant farm workers for a ranch. The story opens up with one of the many conflicts that George and Lennie will face throughout the whole story; George and Lennie running away from Weed after feeling a girls red dress. Although Lennie commits certain acts of violence in Of Mice and Men John Steinbeckportrays Lennie Small as having the traits common to the innocent archetype. John Steinbeck portrays Lennie s characterizations through indirect and direct characterizations. Indirect characterization is when the author will describe a person about how they are through context clues but not directly saying it. For example, No whatta want? Let s have different color rabbits George. (Steinbeck 16). That is indirect characterization for Lennie being childish because John Steinbeck does not come straight out and say that Lennie is childish, but readers can tell by the context that he is childish. Direct characterization is when the author comes right out to the readers and says the characters traits. For instance, Behind him walked his opposite, a huge man... (Steinbeck 2). Argument Number One Boris Supportive Nature: In the desolate and forlorn area of Las Vegas where Theo resides, Boris provides comfort and support to Theo as he begins a new life without his mother. None of us ever find enough kindness in the world, do we? (282) Again, in a time of sadness and wistfulness, Boris is able to comfort Theo.
