My Reflection Of Computers
I am currently enrolled in Calculus and I am feeling overwhelmed because just the
year before I had only taken Algebra II so a jump from Algebra to Calculus is
pretty big because I skipped Trigonometry and Precalculus. I felt overwhelmed so I
saw this choice on the Application Activity 2 I chose to go for tutoring. The tutor I
chose is the Valedictorian and she could have chose to graduate as early as last year.
She is currently taking this last semester here and then graduating and going to New
Mexico Tech.
I had a C in calculus when I chose to get my tutor to help me with test corrections
and a few homework assignments that were worth a lot of points. Alyssa my tutor
really helped me understand what I did wrong on my test and with the corrections
she had me do I was able to bring my grade from a C to a B. The test had me deal
with limits of functions and before I really didn t understand on the first question I
was very close to the correct answer but I factored incorrectly and on the second
question I remembered a vital rule in limits which is 1 divided by an X to a power
is 0. The next question had me deal with graphing functions within a function and
that confused me quite a lot and after getting tutored these functions make sense to
me and I can graph them as easy as a normal function, but we also had to evaluate if
the limits exist and if they do exist where they are on the graph and that was very
confusing to me because I did not know which function I had to

In the last two decades, palm oil has been one of the most imported goods around
the world. In fact, the top industries are located in Sumatra, Indonesia, holding up to
90% of the world s exported palm oil. Palm oil comes from the palm fruit of the

When the narrator s wife tells the narrator that Robert recently lost his wife, he thinks
that it is a tragedy that Robert s wife was a woman whose husband could never read
the expression on her face (Carver 70). This proposition sounds atrocious to the
narrator, because he and the other men of the other stories are used to determining
their masculinity through the eyes of other men (Kimmel). Moreover, the insecurity
of the male narrator is demonstrated by his apprehension of Robert, for whom his
wife once worked. The narrator is clearly uncomfortable having the Robert in his
house. Although he claims that this is because Robert is blind, it is rather obvious
that it is due to the fact that the narrator fears that Robert is a rival for his wife and

s wife falls asleep on the couch with her robe open and showing a juicy thigh , at

glances at the blind man, and realizes that the he is no longer an intimidation, he
flip[s] the robe open again (Carver 71). In other words, the narrator does not care
that his wife probably would rather not be showing a juicy thigh. He would only
consider the decency of his wife if he felt the another man was threatening his
masculinity. Moreover, once the narrator is no longer insecure, he is actually able to
connect with Robert, without fearing that Robert will steal his wife. The narrator
agrees to help Robert understand what a cathedral is. Because the narrator s
insecurity is only present when the narrator believes that Robert will emasculate him,

Due Process Model And Crime Control Model
The two models that we have encountered in this class are the due process model
and the law and order, or the crime control model. The due process model can be
observed, most famously, during the Warren Court in the 1960s, during Warren s
time as Chief Justice the court was most concerned with protecting and extending
the rights of the accused. The due process model puts more strain on the prosecution
to prove that the criminal s rights were not infringed upon and that he actually
committed the crime. In contrast, the crime control model is most concerned with
lowering crime and deterring future criminals by prosecuting and processing
criminals and cases as fast as possible. In some ways, this model resembles an
assembly line, in the sense that it attempts to process cases as quickly and efficiently
as possible. This model is much more concerned with convictions rather than
