Low Birth Weight Research Essay
The term low birth weight is used in describing infants weighing less than 5 lbs 8 ounces (2500g)
whereas the average weight is 8 lbs (Stanford, 2015). An infant with a low birth weight has a
significantly higher chance of neonatal and perinatal mortality (Maheswari Behera, 2014). Babies who
do persevere and survive are documented of having inadequate neurosensory, cognitive, behavioral
development and limited school performance (Guyatt Snow, 2004). Shiono and Behrman (1995) state
that infants with low birth weight consist of 7% of live births, however, 35% of the cost of health care
goes towards caring for low birth weight infants. Studies show that African American infants are twice
more than Caucasian infants to have a low birth weight. To bring a life into this world takes more than
conception; sacrifices need to be made, nurturing, and providing a safe home for the child, but many
minorities struggle to fulfill these needs. Health and health care are imperative when it comes to being
an expecting mother; therefore, it is important that to address what influences the birth weight of
African American infants in my research paper. I hope to address how factors such as racial
discrimination within the American health care system, prenatal care, stress, and the age of the mother
contributes to the low birth weight (LBW) disparities between African American infants and
Caucasian infants.

Let There Be Light And There Is Light
And God said, Let there be light, and there was light (Genesis 1:3). This sentence can be the most
famous sentence that has ever been written. When the light was created, the faith of the universe, earth
and humanity were completely redesigned. The control of our universe was given to its owner, light.
We were born into a universe that light governs us. However, we couldn t realize it in a short span of
time. After that moment, the perception of humanity towards light, a mysterious phenomenon, has
altered a lot; nevertheless, light has never lost its meaning of being fundamental for anything related to
human, conversely, we discovered beyond what we knew about it.
Light exhibited its significance since the existence of early humans. Thousands of years ago, humans,

Sean Vander Meulen remarks, Light is one of the fundamental forces. It is one part of the council that
governs our universe. (Vander Meulen). We learned that light is in this council after scientific
discoveries. Before these discoveries about light, we knew that light was important for sight and art;
however, scientific perspective provided much more information about light. Other than technological
developments, we learned the role of light in the universe. According to scientific discoveries of
Albert Einstein, speed of light is the speed limit in our universe, and there is nothing that can move
faster than light or reach it. This is not about how big the energy needed is, or the friction force. Even
if we will be able to provide too much energy to a spaceship someday, it won t be able to reach the
speed of light. That is a law in our universe, and it is an unbreakable one. With this new discovery, our
understanding of light completely changed again; hence, it became the fundamental limit in our
universe, from just a tool for our technological

Security Threats Of Network Security
As the technology is growing the security threats are also increasing at higher rate. So, as to protect an
organization from such network security threats severe actions and several steps have to be taken by
network security administrators. In any large organization that is having large number of big servers,
firewalls and interconnected network of hundreds of computers, security is one of the most important
aspects so as to secure its network from intruders. Within the organization, all the computers and
devices are interconnected in a LAN network or using a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network). So,
the most important task of network security administrator to secure its internal as well as external
network from intruders because there are several ways intruders can sniff the network and resulting in
heavy loss of data. There are several threats that can affect network security of an organization such
as: Wireless Sniffing, DoS (Denial of Service), sniffing of VoIP network, trojans and unauthorized
access to FTP server. Wireless Sniffing and potential measures to secure wireless Networks
In today s business scenario, within the organization most of the operations taken place over a wireless
network such as transferring data between systems using wireless, accessing internet and sending
Mails over Internet. Large number of rooters is used for providing internet access and wireless access
to computers. Consider a situation, in which if one of the network get sniffed by

Review Of Benvenuto Cellini

History of European civilizations
Dr. Kruse
Benvenuto Cellini
Benvenuto Cellini was born on November 3rd in the year 1500 in Florence, Italy. His father was
Giovanni Cellini and his mother was Marisa Lisabetta Granacci. The time period Cellini was born is
considered to be the beginning of the Cinquecento period of the arts in Italy. By the end of Cellini s
life he was successful in many aspects of cinquecento arts. This paper gives highlights on Cellini s life
as a whole including descriptive examples of his various art works.(Cellini 128) The cinquecento
period in which Cellini was born references the 16th century as a period of Italian art, architecture, or
literature, with a reversion to classical forms. This is significant because it gives you greater
understanding of some of the cultural influences Cellini would have been subjected to in Italy as he
grew up.(O Brien) Its possible that this influence helped to lead him to be one of the prominent
mannerist artist. Another culturally significant factor of the time is that Cellini lived his life in the era
of Italy being ruled by kings as the Roman Empire had dissipated and been split into the Eastern and
Western Empires. The Western Empire fell in 476 when the barbarian chieftain Odoacer deposed
Romulus Augustus and didn t take the title of emperor.(O Brien) Cellini s father was a musician and
wanted Cellini to pursue a career in music but at the age of fifteen Cellini

Happiness Is An Impossible Dream Essay
For centuries, people had been seeking happiness. Everybody wants it, but it seems like nobody has it.
Everywhere you go at work, at home, in school, at the market, in church you see people struggling;
they exist but are not alive, like they are designed to be slightly dissatisfied with everything.
Male and female, rich and poor, young and old, no one is free. Everyone is in a cloud of discontent.
For all the things they do have, they re always wanting something they don t and can t have... to be
happy.
As if happiness is an impossible dream that one should forever chase. As if happiness is always there
in some end of time, future dimension, not available in this present full of disappointments.

He is anxious all the time. Worrying doesn t have any use but to cart off happiness. It doesn t solve a
problem or influence the result of anything. Anxiety only affects the worrier. It makes him, well, not
happy.
3. His life is complicated. He runs three companies simultaneously, has five wives and seven
mistresses, twenty four children from nineteen different women, a board director of the home owners
association, president of the national businessmen s club, avid golfer and congressman. No wonder he
is unhappy.
4. He hoards and doesn t give. He keeps everything for himself, and only cares about himself. He
doesn t need anyone, and in effect no one needs him either. This hoarding isn t only about money and
things; it s also about compassion, time, and talents. As Chris McCandless said before he died,
Happiness is only real when shared.
5. He expects too much. Expectations are the source of life s stress, frustrations, annoyance, misery,
and pain. He creates these expectations in his head of what things should be, what his wife and kids
and employees should do, what life should be like, and when they are not met happiness goes out of
the window.

Presidential Elections And Election Elections
Political elections, especially presidential elections have many variables that influence the voters when
they go to the polls. Many researchers use various methods to figure out all the possible outcomes of
the election and what the voters are looking for in a particular year. This year has been unique because
of the different personalities that the candidates own. This new diversity has caused researchers to
revise their tactics from earlier years. Also, negative political ads for this election year have had some
impact on voters. Furthermore, a candidate s religious affiliation will also have an effect on different
segments of the population. Finally, in previous presidential elections, divided parties rarely won
presidential elections. Will this year have the same end result? Finally, the exact effects caused by
these variables can sometimes only be determined by research studies. These studies have to be ready
to hit the core of the issue affecting the outcome. Furthermore, the questions have to be tailored,
balanced and presented the same way in all outlets.
Multitude of Media Outlets
Voting for the next President of the United States is very important in our country. In our society today
voters want to know if the next President will solve the issues that effects them and how well will he
or she keep this country moving forward. Voters have more media outlets now than ever before when
trying to decide who they want to support as a leading candidate to run for

National Incident Management System Response Paper
The Critical infrastructure, or CI, is a subcategory of infrastructure that includes those assets, systems,
and networks, whether physical or virtual, which are so vital that their failure or destruction would
have a debilitating impact on security, governance, public health and safety, public confidence,
commerce, or other societal factors (Bullock, Haddow, Coppola, 2016). According to the 2013 US
National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) there are 16 of these sectors and throughout this paper
we will discuss a cyber attack on the water supply sector. The best way to discuss the above will be

49). In order for all of the leaders of the different infrastructures to be successful at eliminating or
mitigating such attacks they will need a common form of communication as all of their systems have
been proven to affect each other. One tool to help eliminate such communication barriers is the
National Incident Management System (NIMS). This system is a standardized management plan that
provides a core set of concepts for incident command and multi agency coordination during
emergency response (Kamien, 2012, p. 486). With such systems as NIMS the government realized that
no one system can work without the other and if one fails they all fail causing wide spread panic and
various other hurdles for emergency responders to respond to. It is up to the government to realize that
our world is no longer ran manually, but rather digitally so that we can better prepare for possible
cyber attacks on our key critical infrastructures.
Throughout this research we have shown the affects of a cyber attack on our water supply. We have
also evaluated the impact that a cyber attack could have on our water supply. Lastly we looked at the
probable third and fourth order effects from the cyber attack on this critical infrastructure to include
the effects on other critical infrastructures that may be affected by the initial cyber attack. If we do not
take the actions of those who seek to harm us through either a physical attack or cyber attack seriously

According to Gregor Mendel, he came across two different inheritances laws found in genes:
segregation and independent assortment. Mendel s Law of Segregation states that each individual gene
carries two alleles that segregate each allele into a different gamete during the phase of meiosis. The
offspring have two different alleles coming from each parent that passes one allele down to their
offspring. Mendel s Law of Independent Assortment states during meiosis the alleles of the two
different genes segregate split from each other and sent to the offspring. Mendel s law cannot be put
into every inheritance pattern because it might not be 100 percent reliable. The purpose of this lab was
to develop the understanding of the inheritance patterns using fruit flies, Drosophila Melanogaster. We
chose Drosophila Melanogaster because of the fact that they are small and are an easy use in the
laboratory. As well, they have qualifying characteristics to be able to use. They are very easy to
distinguish the differences between female and males, have a short life cycle, inexpensive, and
understandable traits to be a perfect example. Also, fruit flies produce a large amount of offspring,
which helps us out when finding out pattern of inheritance (Morris and Cahoon, p. 5). In

George Herbert Walker Bush and George Walker Bush Essay
Like Father Like Son George Herbert Walker Bush and George Walker Bush
Although all individuals are unique no matter how closely related they might be, sometimes their
similarities over shadow their differences, and yield a very interesting combination of events that
almost have a deja vu effect on its audience. The Bush family serves as the perfect illustration for this
phenomenon. From their family history and business life, to their life as the Presidents of the United
States, Bush Senior and Junior have led quite parallel lives. The thesis seems to be more complex than
this.

Public Attitudes Toward African Americans With Mental...
This paper examines the inequalities that African Americans with mental disabilities face in their daily
lives. It argues that this constituency receives inadequate medical access and services, different
treatment of their disability, and is highly stigmatized as compared to Whites. In order to support my
argument I examine public attitudes towards blacks with mental illnesses, their depiction in the media,
and contemporary issues related to the topic. I draw on specific course concepts such as ableism and
use an intersectional approach to show that African Americans are not given the proper attention they
deserve. In the first section of this paper, I examine public attitudes toward African Americans who
have mental disabilities and how this affects their treatment options. In the second section, I explore
the limited portrayal of blacks with mental disabilities in television and film. In the third and final
section, I discuss recent issues regarding the lack of Black disability studies. By researching this topic,
I hope to bring more awareness and acceptance of African Americans with mental disabilities. I also
want to add more scholarship to the field, which is much needed.
I. Views Towards Blacks with Mental Disorders
Although several years have passed since the civil rights movement, there continues to be
discrimination against people of color. This discrimination is even more prominent towards people of

Data Classification Of Neuro Fuzzy Link Based...
To predict the links in the dataset we have used the Fuzzy Link Based Classification algorithm a
subpart of Neuro Fuzzy Link Based Classification algorithm, which is a combination on the
Feedforward Neural Networks (FFNet) Backpropagation techniques and fuzzy logic. FFNet was
inspired from the neural system the human body. In this chapter we will first explain about the system
design involved in setting up the network followed by explaining the FFNet and Backpropagation
algorithm, explain the reasons for using the algorithm and then discuss about how we worked on our
dataset and the steps involved in obtaining the desired output.
5.1 System Design
From selecting the dataset to be worked on to data classification and link prediction, many steps are
involved in like clustering data, classification of data, data extraction etc. These steps are performed in
a proper order as mentioned in the below figure of System architecture.
Fig 5.1 System Architecture [9]
Initially the dataset must be selected to retrieve the data so that classification can be performed.
In user interface model data is retrieved from the dataset and represented in a readable format. On this
data pattern recognition and analysis can be performed.
In clustering and classification phase dissimilar data is differentiated from similar data. In our project
this step can be omitted because the dataset is already in the form of a CSV file, divided according to
the respective link types.

What Are The Negative Effects Of The Santa Ana By Joan Didion
In her essay, Didion uses a very ominous and foreboding tone to convey the topic of the Santa Ana
winds. From the very beginning of the essay, the reader is given a feeling that these Santa Ana winds
possess a type of evil in them that seem to affect people for the worse. The reader is never allowed to
look past the negative effects of the Santa Ana winds. I will explain how Joan Didion does this in the
following examples.
In order to give a greater sense of authenticity and awe, Didion utilizes a wide range of descriptive
phrases. For example, There is something uneasy in the L.A. air this afternoon, some unnatural
stillness, some tension. What it means is that tonight a Santa Ana will begin to blow, a hot wind from
the northeast whining down through the Cajon and San Gorgonio Passes, blowing up sandstorms out
along Route 66, drying the hills and the nerves to the flash point. This opening group of sentences
clearly describe the Santa Ana winds and give them a corporeal form. These sentences ... Show more

sulks. I rekindle a waning argument with the telephone company . This excerpt is a good example of
Didion writing how the winds affect people in general, it tells about how a sense of unease or worry

feelings brought out in her essay by selecting what data or biased observations are allowed in her

The Chaser Alan strode out the door just as skittish as he was when he walked in. He went over his

going to put the potion into her wine. Diana wasn t aware that Alan had such a tremendous admiration

the love potion from Alan s grip. Ah ah oh you come back here bird! That s mine! shrieked Alan. He

the potion. Alan s jaw dropped. He pondered upon what it would do to animals. The wise man hadn t

spoke out loud to himself. The bird was staring at him. Go away bird. However, the bird did not go
away. Instead, it flew over to Alan and landed right on his shoulder. Alan shooed the bird off of his
shoulder and started pacing towards the restaurant where he was meeting Diana. He was still going to

The Effect Of Sucrose Concentration On The Rate Of...
Determining the effect of varying sucrose concentration on the rate of anaerobic cell respiration in
yeasts
Introduction:
The research question asks how varying sucrose concentrations affect the rate of anaerobic cell
respiration in yeast, measured in CO2 production. The rate of anaerobic respiration will be determined
by measuring the rate of CO2 production by the yeast cells.
The hypothesis stats that as the sucrose concentration is increased, rate of respiration will increase and
therefore the CO2 production of yeast cells will rise. Sucrose is a disaccharide composed of the
monosaccharaides glucose and fructose. Glucose is a reactant in anaerobic cell respiration. In the
absence of oxygen, glucose will react with the yeast producing ethanol and CO2.
Independent variable Sucrose concentration The sucrose concentration in the solution was varied to
10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% in order to examine the effect of varying sucrose concentration on the
CO2 production of yeast cells.

Mustafa Kemal and the Battle of Gallipoli Essays
At the onset of World War 1 in 1914, the sick man of Europe known as Turkey, or the Ottoman
Empire, sought foreign financial aid after the stress of the Balkan Wars. The belligerents of World War
1 saw an opportunity in the Ottoman misfortune, as a Turkish alliance equated to control of the
Dardanelles Strait near the peninsular city of Gallipoli. To the Allies consisting of Russia, Britain, and
France, the Dardanelles was Russia s primary contact route, and also facilitated the movement of 90%
of Russia s grain exports and 50% of Russia s exports overall. Conversely, to the Central Powers of
Germany and Austria Hungary, control of the strait posed a major threat to the Allies. When Britain
failed to deliver two battleships which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pasha dismissed Kemal s contributions in the final intelligence report, even though Kemal s superior
understanding of the enemy and terrain were justified with the Allies landing at the predicted
locations. In contrast to General Pasha, Mustafa Kemal valued all input from his staff, subordinate
commanders, and Soldiers to achieve a holistic approach to understanding the situational environment.
Before the war ended, nearly every top Turkish military official had personally interacted with
Mustafa Kemal in Gallipoli. By interacting with his staff and subordinates, Kemal maintained accurate
running estimate reports which he could validate in a real context on the battlefield. Staff estimates
played vital roles in the operations process, but Kemal s way of framing problems to include factors
like troop morale assisted in more effective placement and employment of key personnel.
Understanding enemy forces played as important of a role as with friendly forces. The Western world
was not familiar with Ottoman culture or capabilities, and the prevailing Western view was that Kemal
was in charge of a disorganized group of Arabs. Mustafa Kemal served in the Italo Turkish War and
ensured that he and his Soldiers were well trained in the latest German doctrine, providing a powerful
understanding of Western military operations. With superior understanding of the terrain, the enemy,
and his troops,

Master Data Information Essay
INTRODUCTION
Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) is one of the integral production control techniques used in
Enterprise resource planning(ERP). It calculates the net requirements for materials based on its
dependence on other materials and develop procurement proposals which are often in the form of
purchase requisitions and planned orders. The MRP creates planned orders for all finished and semi
finished products and aims to make sure that the company has sufficient availability of material to
meet its requirements. In ERP, the Master Data is a key factor in the successful implementation of the
production process. It sorts and stores data automatically, based on their functions and distinctive
characteristics. The Material Master Data ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Before the production process commences, we have to take inventory of our available stock to
determine whether the company needs to make procurement of materials or not. This is achieved by
performing a net requirements calculation. The net requirements calculation considers all the critical
elements of the MRP to identify whether there is a shortage of material that would require
procurement. If a procurement proposal is needed, the system is able to determine the amount of
material needed by using the Lot size function. Our lot size in the production of the Aluminum Door
DR are HB (Replenishment to maximum stock level) and FX (Fixed order quantity) for our Raw
material and semi finished products respectively, as highlighted in the screen shots below. Also the
MRP requires the specification of a plant and storage location. For this production 1000 and 0001
have been assigned as our plant and storage location requirements respectively.
We used the Multi level single item planning approach for our MRP run. With this approach, the MRP
is able to calculate the materials used in our production process for all levels, down to the level of
individual raw materials.

The Christian Doctrine Of The Trinity
Outline the development of the Christian doctrine of the Trinity from the New Testament Church to
the Nicene Creed.
I will like to crave your indulgence to the fact that Nicene concept of Trinity is never stated in the
Bible, and it is that early Christians as well as the scriptures clearly points out the fact that Jesus was
fully divine and pre existent. For the fact that, none of the early Christian theologians fully asserted
the doctrine of the Trinity, not even a speculation about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. According to
the father of the paganism description of Trinity God can in no way be described. (Schindler 148).
In the 4th century there are different schools of thought that were developed in Antioch, were they try
to literarily interpret the Scriptures with a great deal of emphasis on the historical context of Trinity.
Arius who is also known as Nicene, came up with the Nicene Creed by arguing the fact that Jesus was
not God, and the Father by itself is true God. Base on the fact that God created Jesus, Arius was able
to support his argument with the books of (Proverbs 8:22 and John 14:28) the Father is greater than I
as a proof.
On the other hand, a number of philosophy was able to argue that Christ was homoousios (same or
one substance) in a way to debunk Nicene Creed by describing the relationship that exist between the
father and Son, by stating the fact that Jesus is God that come to earth as a man which is also the
Father. Arius believes that it

Christian Morality Has Become A Tale Of Shame
According to Nietzsche genealogy of Christian morality has become a tale of shame wherein the weak
promote the propagation of a lie and foster a mistaken explanation for suffering. By overlooking the
will to power that occurs naturally in all the people, Christianity cages, and dulls the will preventing it
from expressing itself. This in turn creates problems by removing the individual s ability to master
their own life turning them into puppets under the guidance of the government. From the Christian
perspective, nihilistic views empower the people giving them hope and a belief in internal strength.
From Nietzsche s view point Christianity and its by product democracy in fact remove any sense of
power or self from the realm of the weak. There is no room for advancement until death. Nietzsche
points to alternative sources of suffering and punishment noting a sadistic expression of will to power
that in some ways is reminiscent of sociopathic tendencies. The best human life uses will to power as
a motivator. The weak and the strong seek to fulfill their desires and the expression as such can be
varied. It can be the source of punishment as expressed in the past and modernity. According to
Nietzsche, man should murder and taunt to fulfill his needs. This all became restricted with the advent
of modern society creating only a space for internal suffering and anger. In moments of public
suffering, will to power is expressed but is still primarily constrained by

Corruption In The Bloody Chamber
Because The Bloody Chamber consists of a first person narrator it could suggest that the young female
is not trapped as she has an outlet and her own voice, A. R, Sheets explains she is not trapped in a
visual representation. Because she has a voice, she can be heard without seen (648). Conversely, I
believe this view can be challenged as the young narrator is often found to refer to herself in the third
person, therefore signifying that she does not have confidence in her judgements, nor is she
comfortable with herself, Aidan Day supports this idea as he suggests she comments on the image of
herself in the mirror as if she were an outsider (1998, 154), for example the narrator states:
I saw him watching me in the gilded mirrors with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A counter gaze can be seen in both The Bloody Chamber and The Collector. In The Collector we are
often allowed insight into the character of Miranda through the use of her diary entries and her
conversations with Clegg for example You re very difficult to get. You re so featureless. Everything s
nondescript. I m thinking of you as an object, not as a person (62), Though Miranda may not be
looking at Clegg erotically it is clear that she objectifies him and that she has the active role here as
she looks upon him, Miranda here does not come across as passive nor does she in many other
instances in the novel. In Miranda s diary entry she proclaims I m so superior to him. I know this
sounds wickedly conceited. But I am. (139) this claim stands as an argument against Berger s notion
that she turns herself into an object as Miranda sees herself as above Clegg. Kaplan further states that
men wish to be taken over by an aggressive woman (5), suggesting that some men, arguably Clegg
would desire to have a passive role in the relationship opposed to an active role, evidenced when
Miranda states Go away. You exhaust me. You re like a sea of cotton wool (he stood up at once) (145),

The Classical Style Of The Ancient Greece And The United...
Neo Classicism in France and the United States
The classical style of the ancient Athens, derived from Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome in the 15th
century, has had a universal impact on many cultures during previous time periods. The classical
period reflected traditional forms focused on symmetry and elegance; it flourished during the time of
the Renaissance through artist such as Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo De Vinci. The artists
main goal was to attain the absolute beauty in their art by showing emotion through detail, almost
through perfection. Some examples of well known classical arts during the Renaissance were
Belvedere Torso and the Medici Venus . In the 17th century the classical style was revived, now called
the neo classical style. It was born in Rome but its popularity flourished all over Europe. The neo
classical movement clashed with the age of Enlightment and continued through the 19th century. The
neo classical principles were based around the same characteristics as the classical arts such as:
balance, proportion, order, simplicity, clarity, and reason. It was strongest in architect, sculpture, and
decorative arts. The neo classical style continued to spread throughout the world and became sought
after in the 17th and 18th century in countries such as France and The United States, and it influenced
some of the greatest government buildings in America.
Neoclassicism can be seen as a political movement as well as an artistic and cultural one.

The Circulatory System and Fluid Dynamics Essay
1. Conductive arteries Conductive arteries are the most proximal compartment of the coronary arterial
system. Their diameter is generally ranging from 500 μm up to 2 5 mm. These are large epicardial
coronary arteries that work as a capacitance function for the blood flow. They have very low
resistance to blood flow and therefore, the pressure drop along the length of conductive arteries is
negligible. The conductive arteries have an inbuilt characteristic of maintaining the shear stress by
changing epicardial dilatation. This characteristic is called being responsive to flow dependent
dilatation. They are not very responsive to intravascular pressure or metabolites. [1]
Prearterioles Prearterioles are the intermediate compartment to ... Show more content on

This would help to maintain a constant pressure at the origin of the arterioles. The entire process is
vasodilatory in nature and takes places due to the release of vasodilators. Nitric Oxide (NO) is one of
the most common vasoactive substances. They are released by the endothelium as a response to the
shear stress changes in the coronary arteries. Since the entire process is about automatic dilatation of
the coronary arteries and proximal arterioles in response to changes in pressure, it is called as
endothelial dependent dilatation. [1][4][5]
3. The arterioles are very responsive to the changes in the concentration of metabolites released by the
myocardium, unlike the conductance arteries and the prearterioles. Arterioles play a key role in
regulating the blood flow across it and also maintaining the metabolic balance. The arterioles remain
very relaxed and balanced i.e. they have a good resting tone. When the myocardium releases
metabolites, there is an increase in the oxygen consumption by the metabolites. As a result of this, the
arterioles dilate and decrease the resistance of blood flow in the entire network. This in turn decreases
the pressure in distal prearterioles. Thus, the vessels dilate. As the distal prearterioles and the arterioles
dilate, the shear stress in the larger prearterioles and conductance arteries increases. Thus,

My Plan For A Capstone Project
At SNHU, I have acquired a lot of skills that allowed me to complete my capstone project. I have
learned many concepts that help me to successfully finish with my entire program. To prepare such a
capstone project, it is indispensable to have some skills and knowledge. I received that knowledge
from the course I had at SNHU. I got the project management skills. I now have knowledge of the
healthcare informatics. My communication skills have been ameliorated. Since the project is about the
healthcare system, I used my knowledge of healthcare studies to prepare my report. Those studies
included, but not limited to: Health Policy and Financing; Leadership in Clinical Microsystems;
Global Health and Diversity; and Health Policy, Law, Ethics and Regulations. In Addition to that
knowledge, the marketing skills have been helpful for preparing the report. In sum; the courses I took
at SNHU have considerably helped me to appropriately prepare the capstone project.
All of those skills and knowledge are helping me in my workplace. For example, I have learned from
the Healthcare Informatics study, the concept of EMR and EHR and their meaningful use in health
care settings. Through that concept; nowadays, I have a solid EMR user in my workplace. I will apply
that concept in my future high position in the healthcare organizations here in the USA or somewhere
in the world. The Project Management and the Marketing studies ameliorated my communication
skills. One of my favorite classes was

Abstract
This research paper discusses the qualities that are necessary for an effective counseling and as such
any counselor considered effective must posses them. The paper has a separate discussion of both
personal and professional qualities required for any good counselor. The personal qualities form a
larger part of the discussion because the professional qualities depend wholly on the individual
characteristics since professional qualities alone can t qualify a counselor but effective personal

This respect will enable a counselor explore chances for change and provide accepted and genuine
attention and caring. More importantly, effective counselors should respect themselves first before
expecting the same to be extended by others. This can be done through building strong realistic and
self worth virtues as well as receiving and giving support to others. They shouldn t isolate themselves
or have any sense of self destructiveness. Furthermore, effective counselor must first know who they
are and what they are capable of doing concerning guidance and counseling before they get to know
their clients. They should have clear goals of what they want o achieve in their line of career by a clear
sense of values and priorities that are very important in attending individuals who actually need
counseling such as drug addicts and family violence victims.
Effective counselors must recognize the limits of their power especially influential and convincing
powers because they may compromise the effectiveness of a counseling program thus they should be
able to tame their power (Whiston, 2009). However, effective counselors do not use their power for
their own gain but to help and support the clients in the best reform procedures. On the other hand,
Gladding (2008) confirm that effective counselors must always be in touch with themselves especially
when dealing with clients who present the same experiences as those of the counselor. In such cases

Societal Values Of The Buck V. Bell Decision
Societal Values of the Buck v. Bell Decision The Supreme Court decision in Buck v. Bell displays
some clues to the values of early twentieth century American society. The interpretation of the 14th
Amendment of the United States Constitution is the lynchpin of the decision, and the values of the
court can be derived from it. In this essay I will demonstrate that the ambiguity of the Amendment in
question has significant consequences, the ethics of the interpretation of the Amendment is derived
form the paternalistic nature of the Constitution, and that equality of the law is subservient to the
desire for a homogeneous and comfortable cultural environment. Interpretation of the 14th
Amendment The central contention of the case is of the interpretation of the 14th Amendment of the
US Constitution. The court argued that it was within the power of the State under the Fourteenth
Amendment to provide sexual sterilization to those who were found to be with an heredity form of
insanity or imbecility. Upon close examination of the 14th Amendment, one can see the ambiguity it
contains. The Amendment can be read as really saying that the state shall make or enforce any law
which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; ...deprive any person
of life, liberty, or property as long as due process of law is followed, and granted the equal protection
of the laws. And this seems to be the way the Supreme Court read it. Since due process was

Music s Music On Pop Music
Most of the music on the radio today sounds very similar, and even those that sound a bit different still
have the same subject matter. It seems that the lyrics to songs don t matter much in pop culture,
judging by the songs played on pop radio that involve sex, drugs, and partying. Those like me who
truly have passion for music realize that lyrics are, in fact, important, if not the most important part of
a song. Those that are as passionate about music as I am tend to appreciate a song more if its melody
is nice and its lyrics are meaningful, rather than one or the other. Most of the overplayed music on pop
radio has lyrics that take less deep thinking than adding two plus two. On the other hand, less popular
genres of music, including indie and alternative, two genres much less likely to be found on pop radio,
incorporate some of these same themes drugs, sex, and partying are still referenced in genres other
than pop, and I refuse to lie and tell you all indie and alternative music is completely innocent and
wholesome it definitely isn t. But the themes that occur constantly in pop music are translated into
these genres in a way that means something far more in depth. For example, where a song like We
Can t Stop by Miley Cyrus blatantly states the lyric dancing with Molly and talks about how she and
her friends can do whatever they want because they re high at a party, a song like The A Team by Ed
Sheeran yes, this song does play on the radio, and yes, I do

Following the collapse of the first Babylonian Dynasty and the so termed golden age of Hammurabi s
reign, the Babylonian kingdom eventually stabilised under the influence of the new Kassite Dynasty.
The Kassites promptly implemented the Babylonian language as well as Babylonian cultural values
and traditions. They introduced the use of stone steles known as kudurrus. The evidence of the use of
kudurrus dictates that later dynasties continued the practice until the 7th century BC.

I would like to include a brief explanation of the refocus of my initial question. Prior to my study tour,
after several meetings with my study tour supervisor I was advised that I should broaden my question
to investigate depictions and representations of religion within Mesopotamia, and simultaneously to
keep an open mind regarding objects from European collections which could potentially help me
narrow down my ideas if I was inspired to do so. During the study tour it became apparent that many
of the objects which I had initially expected to be able to assist me in answering my question were not
usable in my report. One of the major obstacles was the design of some exhibitions and displays.
Although I found these exhibitions to be innovative and extremely accessible to the public, an
unfortunate consequence was that various objects became difficult to properly represent through
photography, obscured by magnifying glasses, mirrors and specialised lighting. These factors
ultimately led to a minor refocus and a narrowing down of my question to focus on

Superpowers in WOrld War II
In World War, two great superpowers in Europe, Germany and Britain clashed through aerial warfare.
Hitler planned to lead the invasion of Britain with the Luftwaffe through intensive attacks against the
Royal Air Force in England. Britain was the only nation left standing against the Germans after France
was forced to sign an armistice on June 22, 1940; Hitler knew that air power was the only way to
reach the isolated island nation. The Battle of Britain lasted from mid June, when Hitler launched
Operation Sea Lion, codenamed as such for the invasion of England, to mid September of 1940, when
Operation Sea Lion was postponed indefinitely. The Second World War went from September 1st,
1939 to September 2nd, 1945. The German Luftwaffe had a substantial impact on the military,
economic and social systems of Britain throughout the Second World War. Britain s air force was a
vital part of their military and defence when Hitler attempted to gain air superiority over England
through the German Luftwaffe which was led by Hermann Göering. The radar system used to detect
aerial attack in Britain was flawed in the beginning of the war and there was a shortage of anti air craft
guns. Radar could not predict the size and height of incoming enemy bombers and lacked detail that
was necessary and vital for effective defence preparations. At the start of the Blitz, there were only 92
anti air craft guns to defend London and the guns were outdated with a terrible fire control system.

Examples Of Symbolic Interactionism Of Marijuana
Marijuana is a very well known and commonly used drug. Yet, there are many different attitudes and
meanings attached to it. So why is there such a variation in people s attitudes towards marijuana. This
can be explained and understood by using the symbolic interactionism theory. Marijuana is a very
controversial topic among Americans and much research has been done regarding it. The Pew
Research Center has gathered information on the opinions Americans have towards the legalization of
marijuana. The data shows what percentage of Americans think it should be legal or not. There is also
data on reasons why they have their opinions and meanings toward marijuana. This data helps to
further understand and apply this theory to the use of marijuana.
Symbolic interactionism perspective is a theory that is used to study social life. To do this, this theory
relies on studying and observing the interactions among people and how they form meanings to things
from those interactions. Although, there is much more to this theory than that. Blumer, the man who
invented the term symbolic interactionism, presented three premises which help to understand this
theory. The first one is, people act a certain way towards things depending on their meaning for that
thing. The second premise is that we get meanings from social interaction, so we are taught meanings
or we witness them from others. Lastly, the third premise is that meanings are able to change because
people have the mental capacity to

Cuban Revolution Extended Essay
To what extent were Fidel Castro s policies consistent to his pre revolutionary goals?
Abstract goes here
Introduction.
In 1959, Fidel Castro led a group of rebel forces to end and overthrow Fulgencio Batista s regime in
an effort to free the Cuban people from his tyrannous rule. For very many different political reasons
this has been portrayed as an act of great injustice and hypocrisy in the modern world. A lot of this has
of course been advocated primarily by the US due to the high level of political tension between the
two nations that developed in the mid 1950s. Believing this conventional wisdom that Castro was
simply an evil communist who oppressed his people and stripped them of their human rights is very

Also and perhaps most importantly, this law prohibited the ownership of any sugar plantations by any
foreigners, something that Castro felt so passionately was the blame for the dysfunctional economy
that was in place during Batista s regime due to him allowing foreign industries to take advantage of
the island s resources.
After it became officially globally acknowledged that Cuba was in fact a communist state and was
being led through a dictatorship run by Castro, it did not take long before powerful enemies and
essential allies were formed. The act of seizing all foreign land with none or very little compensation
was received with great hostility amongst those who lost in their property through this process, and
probably the reaction that had the biggest impact on Cuba s economy was that of the US. Castro s
communistic policies did not of course help calm this resentment and also took part in leading to the
establishment of trade embargos with Cuba from the US. This meant that Cuba would now lose a very
valuable buyer of their precious sugar, [5] but they did however gain another one, a powerful nation
that shared quite similar Marxist ideals and were quick to form an alliance with the Cubans, the
USSR.

A Christian At The Age Of 14
Author Information: (see attached resume for additional information) I became a Christian at the age
of 14, partly as a result of being taught evolution in public school. Learning about evolution made me
very unsettled. I reasoned that if evolution were true, then my life was a result of a series of random

as my savior as a freshman in high school. Since that time, I have had an avid interest in the scientific
evidence that proves the biblical creation account true and evolution false. I worked for 35 plus years
as a hydrologist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Initially, as a research hydrologist studying

The Disaster Of Nuclear Reactors
An earthquake centered 130 km off shore of the city of Sendai in Miyagi caused 11 nuclear reactors
that were operating at 4 different nuclear plants to shut down on March 11, 2011(Fukushima Accident,
2015). The earthquake had a magnitude of 9.0, which is classified as one of the worst earthquakes/
greatest earthquakes on the earthquake scale, the tsunami following the earthquake was about 560 sq
km resulting in over 19,000 human deaths. The earthquake and tsunami caused the following nuclear
units to shut down, Tokyo Electric Power Company s (Tepco) Fukushima Daiichi 1, 2, 3, and
Fukushima Daini 1, 2, 3, 4, Tohoku s Onagawa 1, 2, 3, and Japco s Tokai, total 9377 MWe net (ibid).
Nuclear plants create energy through radioactive substances that help the creation of energy.
Substances can become radioactive because the nucleus of each atom is unstable and can decay giving
off nuclear radiation in the form of alpha particles, beta particles or gamma rays (What is
Radioactivity, n.d.). Most power reactors use water as a coolant, in light water reactors, the core is
surrounded by the coolant under pressure. The nuclear fuel contains uranium that contains 2 to 4
percent uranium 235. For fuel rods the uranium is changed to uranium dioxide (Nuclear Energy, n.d.).
Heat is created by the uranium 235 atoms splitting which is called fission then steam is made which
spins a turbine to drive a generator and produces electricity, this is a nuclear reaction. Fukushima are

The Reasons For And Against Euthanasia
1.0 Introduction
Euthanasia is a widely discussed topic around Australia. Many individuals are in favour however,
other individuals are strongly opposed to it. This report will investigate the reasons for and against
euthanasia and suggest amendments to the law to enhance the legislation. Euthanasia should be
governed by legislation however leniency should be extended to certain individuals under strict
guidelines. Establishing the optimal result is very difficult due to the complexity of the subject at
hand. There are also Ethical values to also consider. When the topic at hand is concerned with the life
or death of a person the decision will not be taken lightly.

2.1 Definition

(Zdenkowski, 1996, pg. 2 3).
As research for this paper a survey was conducted of 70 people to assess their knowledge and
understanding of euthanasia. (SurveyMonkey) Of those surveyed, 94% stated they had an
understanding of the topic while 6% stated they had no knowledge.
The priorities as identified by the respondents include:
To die with dignity
The right to end your life
The right to choose your time of death
The choice to end your life
The ending of life using medical drugs
A humane death for people and animals
Assisted death
The term Euthanasia is interpreted differently by many individuals. The reason for this can be because
of personal experience(s) and/or beliefs and feelings.
2.2 Current Legislation
The current legislation that is in place regarding euthanasia is the Euthanasia Laws Act 1997 (Cth) ,
and the Voluntary Euthanasia Legislation Act 2012 (Cth) which was created to amend the considerably
out dated Euthanasia Laws Act 1997 (Cth). The Bill however, has not yet been passed by parliament.
The Legislative Assembly, (as noted in schedule 2, sub section 23(1)) has the power to construct
legislation in regards to the withdrawal/withholding of medical and/or surgical treatments that will
extend the life of a patient; the provision of medical treatment whilst the patient is undergoing
palliative care and the repeal of legal sanctions that prevent attempted suicide

The Gynamic Character In Raymond Carver s Cathedral
William H. Macy is well known for his role as Frank Gallagher in the hit TV show Shameless. From
the beginning, we learn that Frank, who is a father of six, is extremely narrow minded and selfish. He
has a hard time understanding his children s thoughts and feelings, which is unusual for the average
father. Like Frank, the narrator in Raymond Carver s short story Cathedral demonstrates his inability
to understand others thoughts and emotions because of his own narrow minded, selfish thoughts and
actions. This is portrayed throughout the beginning of the story. First, we are shown his prejudicial
thoughts towards the blind man simply because he is blind. He then expresses his selfishness as well
as a hint of jealousy when he comments on the relationship between the blind man and his wife, while
displaying an overall negative attitude about the man s visit. Despite his negative characterization,
much like many other intriguing dynamic characters, the narrator comes realize his own blindness
towards the end of the story. This encourages him to be more self aware, as well as sympathetic to
others and the world around him.
Raymond Carver chose to make the narrator a dynamic character to successfully illustrate how many
people, at some point in their life, will realize a certain, unsettling conflict they have within
themselves and learn from it. The narrator being a dynamic character, symbolizes those members in
today s society. In the story, the narrator realizes his internal conflict when despite the image of a
cathedral being on the TV right in front of him, he cannot verbally explain what it is. This creates an
unsettling feeling within the narrator. This then helps him to later realize his own shallow nature and,
in a sense, how he himself is blind . Many people experience this unsettledness within themselves at
some point throughout their life. Once they see these issues within themselves, and overcome their
conflict, they grow as a person, just as the narrator demonstrates throughout the story.
From the start, author Raymond Carver, expresses the narrator s selfishness by his inability to
understand others thoughts and feelings. This is a major factor indicating his overall blindness. In the

Coach Carter
Coach Carter 1. Coach Carter shows many qualities of different styles of leader ship throughout the
movie. At the start when Ken first sees the basketball team he takes an autocratic style of coaching
them. An autocratic coaching is where the coach has complete power over the team. Team members
have little opportunity to put forward ideas or make suggestions. The benefit of this approach of
leadership by Coach Carter is that it was incredibly efficient and his decisions are made quickly and
the work gets done. This is displayed in the film effectively when he first walks into the gym and
states that they must abide by this contract if they want to be apart of the team. Coach carter expresses
his personal expectations and intent. You ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also when he straight away gets to the point and states the contract the team must follow. Carter also
maintains the situation and shows awareness in order to anticipate needed actions. Ken also has a
quality to improvise to handle the changing situation such as when he locks the team out of the gym
due to there poor grades or when he hypes them up during a game and gives the tips and motivation
talks. Qualities that a good coach much posses are qualities like Ken Carter. He ensures that the task is
understood, supervised and accomplished. To do this he clearly states his expectations, such as the
contract he gives them to sign and follow if they want to play. Ken also considers the teams
development needs, such as maintaining a 2,3 in there academic studies and also ensuring that they
will be winners regardless the outcome of the game, like when they just loose the final match. A good
quality that Coach Carter has is his respect for the players and his term of the word respect. When Ken
Carter took on the responsibility of coaching this team it was clear that he was more4 concerned with
the people under his care that winning games. This shows a great amount of respect for the players
and in the journey the players come to respect him for it. When Coach Carter cared about the future of
the people in this team, the team became winners and not often are the coaches that set there sights on
winning and influencing the lives

  • 3. Low Birth Weight Research Essay The term low birth weight is used in describing infants weighing less than 5 lbs 8 ounces (2500g) whereas the average weight is 8 lbs (Stanford, 2015). An infant with a low birth weight has a significantly higher chance of neonatal and perinatal mortality (Maheswari Behera, 2014). Babies who do persevere and survive are documented of having inadequate neurosensory, cognitive, behavioral development and limited school performance (Guyatt Snow, 2004). Shiono and Behrman (1995) state that infants with low birth weight consist of 7% of live births, however, 35% of the cost of health care goes towards caring for low birth weight infants. Studies show that African American infants are twice more than Caucasian infants to have a low birth weight. To bring a life into this world takes more than conception; sacrifices need to be made, nurturing, and providing a safe home for the child, but many minorities struggle to fulfill these needs. Health and health care are imperative when it comes to being an expecting mother; therefore, it is important that to address what influences the birth weight of African American infants in my research paper. I hope to address how factors such as racial discrimination within the American health care system, prenatal care, stress, and the age of the mother contributes to the low birth weight (LBW) disparities between African American infants and Caucasian infants. • 4. Let There Be Light And There Is Light And God said, Let there be light, and there was light (Genesis 1:3). This sentence can be the most famous sentence that has ever been written. When the light was created, the faith of the universe, earth and humanity were completely redesigned. The control of our universe was given to its owner, light. We were born into a universe that light governs us. However, we couldn t realize it in a short span of time. After that moment, the perception of humanity towards light, a mysterious phenomenon, has altered a lot; nevertheless, light has never lost its meaning of being fundamental for anything related to human, conversely, we discovered beyond what we knew about it. Light exhibited its significance since the existence of early humans. Thousands of years ago, humans, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sean Vander Meulen remarks, Light is one of the fundamental forces. It is one part of the council that governs our universe. (Vander Meulen). We learned that light is in this council after scientific discoveries. Before these discoveries about light, we knew that light was important for sight and art; however, scientific perspective provided much more information about light. Other than technological developments, we learned the role of light in the universe. According to scientific discoveries of Albert Einstein, speed of light is the speed limit in our universe, and there is nothing that can move faster than light or reach it. This is not about how big the energy needed is, or the friction force. Even if we will be able to provide too much energy to a spaceship someday, it won t be able to reach the speed of light. That is a law in our universe, and it is an unbreakable one. With this new discovery, our understanding of light completely changed again; hence, it became the fundamental limit in our universe, from just a tool for our technological ... So, as to protect an organization from such network security threats severe actions and several steps have to be taken by network security administrators. In any large organization that is having large number of big servers, firewalls and interconnected network of hundreds of computers, security is one of the most important aspects so as to secure its network from intruders. Within the organization, all the computers and devices are interconnected in a LAN network or using a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network). So, the most important task of network security administrator to secure its internal as well as external network from intruders because there are several ways intruders can sniff the network and resulting in heavy loss of data. There are several threats that can affect network security of an organization such as: Wireless Sniffing, DoS (Denial of Service), sniffing of VoIP network, trojans and unauthorized access to FTP server. Wireless Sniffing and potential measures to secure wireless Networks In today s business scenario, within the organization most of the operations taken place over a wireless network such as transferring data between systems using wireless, accessing internet and sending Mails over Internet. Review Of Benvenuto Cellini Robert Mitchell Russell 10/28/2015 History of European civilizations Dr. Kruse Benvenuto Cellini Benvenuto Cellini was born on November 3rd in the year 1500 in Florence, Italy. His father was Giovanni Cellini and his mother was Marisa Lisabetta Granacci. The time period Cellini was born is considered to be the beginning of the Cinquecento period of the arts in Italy. By the end of Cellini s life he was successful in many aspects of cinquecento arts. This paper gives highlights on Cellini s life as a whole including descriptive examples of his various art works.(Cellini 128) The cinquecento period in which Cellini was born references the 16th century as a period of Italian art, architecture, or literature, with a reversion to classical forms. This is significant because it gives you greater understanding of some of the cultural influences Cellini would have been subjected to in Italy as he grew up.(O Brien) Its possible that this influence helped to lead him to be one of the prominent mannerist artist. Another culturally significant factor of the time is that Cellini lived his life in the era of Italy being ruled by kings as the Roman Empire had dissipated and been split into the Eastern and Western Empires. The Western Empire fell in 476 when the barbarian chieftain Odoacer deposed Romulus Augustus and didn t take the title of emperor.(O Brien) Cellini s father was a musician and wanted Cellini to pursue a career in music but at the age of fifteen Cellini ... Male and female, rich and poor, young and old, no one is free. Everyone is in a cloud of discontent. For all the things they do have, they re always wanting something they don t and can t have... to be happy. As if happiness is an impossible dream that one should forever chase. • 9. Presidential Elections And Election Elections Political elections, especially presidential elections have many variables that influence the voters when they go to the polls. Many researchers use various methods to figure out all the possible outcomes of the election and what the voters are looking for in a particular year. This year has been unique because of the different personalities that the candidates own. This new diversity has caused researchers to revise their tactics from earlier years. Also, negative political ads for this election year have had some impact on voters. Furthermore, a candidate s religious affiliation will also have an effect on different segments of the population. Finally, in previous presidential elections, divided parties rarely won presidential elections. Will this year have the same end result? Finally, the exact effects caused by these variables can sometimes only be determined by research studies. These studies have to be ready to hit the core of the issue affecting the outcome. Furthermore, the questions have to be tailored, balanced and presented the same way in all outlets. Multitude of Media Outlets Voting for the next President of the United States is very important in our country. In order for all of the leaders of the different infrastructures to be successful at eliminating or mitigating such attacks they will need a common form of communication as all of their systems have been proven to affect each other. One tool to help eliminate such communication barriers is the National Incident Management System (NIMS). This system is a standardized management plan that provides a core set of concepts for incident command and multi agency coordination during emergency response (Kamien, 2012, p. 486). With such systems as NIMS the government realized that no one system can work without the other and if one fails they all fail causing wide spread panic and various other hurdles for emergency responders to respond to. It is up to the government to realize that our world is no longer ran manually, but rather digitally so that we can better prepare for possible cyber attacks on our key critical infrastructures. Throughout this research we have shown the affects of a cyber attack on our water supply. We have also evaluated the impact that a cyber attack could have on our water supply. Lastly we looked at the probable third and fourth order effects from the cyber attack on this critical infrastructure to include the effects on other critical infrastructures that may be affected by the initial cyber attack. • 13. Drosophila Melanogaster Lab Summary Documenting independent assortment and genetic linkage In Drosophila melanogaster Marina Gayed BIOL 3251 004 Mr. Matthew Fuller 11 October 2017 Lab Partners Abdelrahman Sedik Aida Abdalla Eriny Saad According to Gregor Mendel, he came across two different inheritances laws found in genes: segregation and independent assortment. Mendel s Law of Segregation states that each individual gene carries two alleles that segregate each allele into a different gamete during the phase of meiosis. The offspring have two different alleles coming from each parent that passes one allele down to their offspring. Mendel s Law of Independent Assortment states during meiosis the alleles of the two different genes segregate split from each other and sent to the offspring. Mendel s law cannot be put into every inheritance pattern because it might not be 100 percent reliable. The purpose of this lab was to develop the understanding of the inheritance patterns using fruit flies, Drosophila Melanogaster. We chose Drosophila Melanogaster because of the fact that they are small and are an easy use in the laboratory. As well, they have qualifying characteristics to be able to use. They are very easy to distinguish the differences between female and males, have a short life cycle, inexpensive, and understandable traits to be a perfect example. Also, fruit flies produce a large amount of offspring, which helps us out when finding out pattern of inheritance (Morris and Cahoon, p. 5). In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It argues that this constituency receives inadequate medical access and services, different treatment of their disability, and is highly stigmatized as compared to Whites. In order to support my argument I examine public attitudes towards blacks with mental illnesses, their depiction in the media, and contemporary issues related to the topic. I draw on specific course concepts such as ableism and use an intersectional approach to show that African Americans are not given the proper attention they deserve. In the first section of this paper, I examine public attitudes toward African Americans who have mental disabilities and how this affects their treatment options. In the second section, I explore the limited portrayal of blacks with mental disabilities in television and film. In the third and final section, I discuss recent issues regarding the lack of Black disability studies. By researching this topic, I hope to bring more awareness and acceptance of African Americans with mental disabilities. I also want to add more scholarship to the field, which is much needed. I. From the very beginning of the essay, the reader is given a feeling that these Santa Ana winds possess a type of evil in them that seem to affect people for the worse. The reader is never allowed to look past the negative effects of the Santa Ana winds. I will explain how Joan Didion does this in the following examples. In order to give a greater sense of authenticity and awe, Didion utilizes a wide range of descriptive phrases. For example, There is something uneasy in the L.A. air this afternoon, some unnatural stillness, some tension. What it means is that tonight a Santa Ana will begin to blow, a hot wind from the northeast whining down through the Cajon and San Gorgonio Passes, blowing up sandstorms out along Route 66, drying the hills and the nerves to the flash point. The hypothesis stats that as the sucrose concentration is increased, rate of respiration will increase and therefore the CO2 production of yeast cells will rise. Sucrose is a disaccharide composed of the monosaccharaides glucose and fructose. Glucose is a reactant in anaerobic cell respiration. In the absence of oxygen, glucose will react with the yeast producing ethanol and CO2. Independent variable Sucrose concentration The sucrose concentration in the solution was varied to 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% in order to examine the effect of varying sucrose concentration on the CO2 production of yeast cells. Dependent variable CO2 production The CO2 production was measured with a CO2 meter (+/ 1ppm), in order to determine the rate of anaerobic cell respiration in yeast. Controlled variable Yeast 10.0 mg (+/ 0.5mg) of yeast were added for each trial Time For every trial, the CO2 production was constantly measured for 300 seconds (+/ 1 second) Temperature The room temperature was measured throughout the lab and kept constant at 24°C (+/ 1°C), as the lab was conducted during the same time of ... Mustafa Kemal and the Battle of Gallipoli Essays At the onset of World War 1 in 1914, the sick man of Europe known as Turkey, or the Ottoman Empire, sought foreign financial aid after the stress of the Balkan Wars. The belligerents of World War 1 saw an opportunity in the Ottoman misfortune, as a Turkish alliance equated to control of the Dardanelles Strait near the peninsular city of Gallipoli. To the Allies consisting of Russia, Britain, and France, the Dardanelles was Russia s primary contact route, and also facilitated the movement of 90% of Russia s grain exports and 50% of Russia s exports overall. Conversely, to the Central Powers of Germany and Austria Hungary, control of the strait posed a major threat to the Allies. When Britain failed to deliver two battleships which ... Pasha dismissed Kemal s contributions in the final intelligence report, even though Kemal s superior understanding of the enemy and terrain were justified with the Allies landing at the predicted locations. In contrast to General Pasha, Mustafa Kemal valued all input from his staff, subordinate commanders, and Soldiers to achieve a holistic approach to understanding the situational environment. Before the war ended, nearly every top Turkish military official had personally interacted with Mustafa Kemal in Gallipoli. By interacting with his staff and subordinates, Kemal maintained accurate running estimate reports which he could validate in a real context on the battlefield. Staff estimates played vital roles in the operations process, but Kemal s way of framing problems to include factors like troop morale assisted in more effective placement and employment of key personnel. Understanding enemy forces played as important of a role as with friendly forces. The Western world was not familiar with Ottoman culture or capabilities, and the prevailing Western view was that Kemal was in charge of a disorganized group of Arabs. Mustafa Kemal served in the Italo Turkish War and ensured that he and his Soldiers were well trained in the latest German doctrine, providing a powerful understanding of Western military operations. • 23. Master Data Information Essay INTRODUCTION Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) is one of the integral production control techniques used in Enterprise resource planning(ERP). It calculates the net requirements for materials based on its dependence on other materials and develop procurement proposals which are often in the form of purchase requisitions and planned orders. The MRP creates planned orders for all finished and semi finished products and aims to make sure that the company has sufficient availability of material to meet its requirements. In ERP, the Master Data is a key factor in the successful implementation of the production process. It sorts and stores data automatically, based on their functions and distinctive characteristics. The Material Master Data ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before the production process commences, we have to take inventory of our available stock to determine whether the company needs to make procurement of materials or not. This is achieved by performing a net requirements calculation. The net requirements calculation considers all the critical elements of the MRP to identify whether there is a shortage of material that would require procurement. If a procurement proposal is needed, the system is able to determine the amount of material needed by using the Lot size function. Our lot size in the production of the Aluminum Door DR are HB (Replenishment to maximum stock level) and FX (Fixed order quantity) for our Raw material and semi finished products respectively, as highlighted in the screen shots below. Also the MRP requires the specification of a plant and storage location. For this production 1000 and 0001 have been assigned as our plant and storage location requirements respectively. We used the Multi level single item planning approach for our MRP run. With this approach, the MRP is able to calculate the materials used in our production process for all levels, down to the level of individual raw materials. • 24. The Christian Doctrine Of The Trinity Outline the development of the Christian doctrine of the Trinity from the New Testament Church to the Nicene Creed. I will like to crave your indulgence to the fact that Nicene concept of Trinity is never stated in the Bible, and it is that early Christians as well as the scriptures clearly points out the fact that Jesus was fully divine and pre existent. For the fact that, none of the early Christian theologians fully asserted the doctrine of the Trinity, not even a speculation about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. According to the father of the paganism description of Trinity God can in no way be described. (Schindler 148). In the 4th century there are different schools of thought that were developed in Antioch, were they try to literarily interpret the Scriptures with a great deal of emphasis on the historical context of Trinity. Arius who is also known as Nicene, came up with the Nicene Creed by arguing the fact that Jesus was not God, and the Father by itself is true God. Base on the fact that God created Jesus, Arius was able to support his argument with the books of (Proverbs 8:22 and John 14:28) the Father is greater than I as a proof. On the other hand, a number of philosophy was able to argue that Christ was homoousios (same or one substance) in a way to debunk Nicene Creed by describing the relationship that exist between the father and Son, by stating the fact that Jesus is God that come to earth as a man which is also the Father. • 25. Christian Morality Has Become A Tale Of Shame According to Nietzsche genealogy of Christian morality has become a tale of shame wherein the weak promote the propagation of a lie and foster a mistaken explanation for suffering. By overlooking the will to power that occurs naturally in all the people, Christianity cages, and dulls the will preventing it from expressing itself. This in turn creates problems by removing the individual s ability to master their own life turning them into puppets under the guidance of the government. From the Christian perspective, nihilistic views empower the people giving them hope and a belief in internal strength. From Nietzsche s view point Christianity and its by product democracy in fact remove any sense of power or self from the realm of the weak. There is no room for advancement until death. Nietzsche points to alternative sources of suffering and punishment noting a sadistic expression of will to power that in some ways is reminiscent of sociopathic tendencies. The best human life uses will to power as a motivator. The weak and the strong seek to fulfill their desires and the expression as such can be varied. It can be the source of punishment as expressed in the past and modernity. According to Nietzsche, man should murder and taunt to fulfill his needs. This all became restricted with the advent of modern society creating only a space for internal suffering and anger. In moments of public suffering, will to power is expressed but is still primarily constrained by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Conversely, I believe this view can be challenged as the young narrator is often found to refer to herself in the third person, therefore signifying that she does not have confidence in her judgements, nor is she comfortable with herself, Aidan Day supports this idea as he suggests she comments on the image of herself in the mirror as if she were an outsider (1998, 154), for example the narrator states: I saw him watching me in the gilded mirrors with ... • 27. The Classical Style Of The Ancient Greece And The United... Neo Classicism in France and the United States The classical style of the ancient Athens, derived from Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome in the 15th century, has had a universal impact on many cultures during previous time periods. The classical period reflected traditional forms focused on symmetry and elegance; it flourished during the time of the Renaissance through artist such as Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo De Vinci. The artists main goal was to attain the absolute beauty in their art by showing emotion through detail, almost through perfection. Some examples of well known classical arts during the Renaissance were Belvedere Torso and the Medici Venus . In the 17th century the classical style was revived, now called the neo classical style. It was born in Rome but its popularity flourished all over Europe. The neo classical movement clashed with the age of Enlightment and continued through the 19th century. The neo classical principles were based around the same characteristics as the classical arts such as: balance, proportion, order, simplicity, clarity, and reason. It was strongest in architect, sculpture, and decorative arts. The neo classical style continued to spread throughout the world and became sought after in the 17th and 18th century in countries such as France and The United States, and it influenced some of the greatest government buildings in America. Their diameter is generally ranging from 500 μm up to 2 5 mm. These are large epicardial coronary arteries that work as a capacitance function for the blood flow. They have very low resistance to blood flow and therefore, the pressure drop along the length of conductive arteries is negligible. The conductive arteries have an inbuilt characteristic of maintaining the shear stress by changing epicardial dilatation. This characteristic is called being responsive to flow dependent dilatation. They are not very responsive to intravascular pressure or metabolites. [1] Prearterioles Prearterioles are the intermediate compartment to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This would help to maintain a constant pressure at the origin of the arterioles. The entire process is vasodilatory in nature and takes places due to the release of vasodilators. Nitric Oxide (NO) is one of the most common vasoactive substances. They are released by the endothelium as a response to the shear stress changes in the coronary arteries. Since the entire process is about automatic dilatation of the coronary arteries and proximal arterioles in response to changes in pressure, it is called as endothelial dependent dilatation. [1][4][5] 3. The arterioles are very responsive to the changes in the concentration of metabolites released by the myocardium, unlike the conductance arteries and the prearterioles. Arterioles play a key role in regulating the blood flow across it and also maintaining the metabolic balance. The arterioles remain very relaxed and balanced i.e. they have a good resting tone. When the myocardium releases metabolites, there is an increase in the oxygen consumption by the metabolites. As a result of this, the arterioles dilate and decrease the resistance of blood flow in the entire network. This in turn decreases the pressure in distal prearterioles. Thus, the vessels dilate. As the distal prearterioles and the arterioles dilate, the shear stress in the larger prearterioles and conductance arteries increases. Thus, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Bell displays some clues to the values of early twentieth century American society. The interpretation of the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution is the lynchpin of the decision, and the values of the court can be derived from it. In this essay I will demonstrate that the ambiguity of the Amendment in question has significant consequences, the ethics of the interpretation of the Amendment is derived form the paternalistic nature of the Constitution, and that equality of the law is subservient to the desire for a homogeneous and comfortable cultural environment. Interpretation of the 14th Amendment The central contention of the case is of the interpretation of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution. The court argued that it was within the power of the State under the Fourteenth Amendment to provide sexual sterilization to those who were found to be with an heredity form of insanity or imbecility. Upon close examination of the 14th Amendment, one can see the ambiguity it contains. The Amendment can be read as really saying that the state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; ...deprive any person of life, liberty, or property as long as due process of law is followed, and granted the equal protection of the laws. It seems that the lyrics to songs don t matter much in pop culture, judging by the songs played on pop radio that involve sex, drugs, and partying. Those like me who truly have passion for music realize that lyrics are, in fact, important, if not the most important part of a song. Those that are as passionate about music as I am tend to appreciate a song more if its melody is nice and its lyrics are meaningful, rather than one or the other. Most of the overplayed music on pop radio has lyrics that take less deep thinking than adding two plus two. On the other hand, less popular genres of music, including indie and alternative, two genres much less likely to be found on pop radio, incorporate some of these same themes drugs, sex, and partying are still referenced in genres other than pop, and I refuse to lie and tell you all indie and alternative music is completely innocent and wholesome it definitely isn t. Hitler planned to lead the invasion of Britain with the Luftwaffe through intensive attacks against the Royal Air Force in England. Britain was the only nation left standing against the Germans after France was forced to sign an armistice on June 22, 1940; Hitler knew that air power was the only way to reach the isolated island nation. The Battle of Britain lasted from mid June, when Hitler launched Operation Sea Lion, codenamed as such for the invasion of England, to mid September of 1940, when Operation Sea Lion was postponed indefinitely. The Second World War went from September 1st, 1939 to September 2nd, 1945. The German Luftwaffe had a substantial impact on the military, economic and social systems of Britain throughout the Second World War. Britain s air force was a vital part of their military and defence when Hitler attempted to gain air superiority over England through the German Luftwaffe which was led by Hermann Göering. The radar system used to detect aerial attack in Britain was flawed in the beginning of the war and there was a shortage of anti air craft guns. So why is there such a variation in people s attitudes towards marijuana. This can be explained and understood by using the symbolic interactionism theory. Marijuana is a very controversial topic among Americans and much research has been done regarding it. The Pew Research Center has gathered information on the opinions Americans have towards the legalization of marijuana. The data shows what percentage of Americans think it should be legal or not. There is also data on reasons why they have their opinions and meanings toward marijuana. This data helps to further understand and apply this theory to the use of marijuana. To do this, this theory relies on studying and observing the interactions among people and how they form meanings to things from those interactions. Although, there is much more to this theory than that. Blumer, the man who invented the term symbolic interactionism, presented three premises which help to understand this theory. The first one is, people act a certain way towards things depending on their meaning for that thing. For very many different political reasons this has been portrayed as an act of great injustice and hypocrisy in the modern world. A lot of this has of course been advocated primarily by the US due to the high level of political tension between the two nations that developed in the mid 1950s. The act of seizing all foreign land with none or very little compensation was received with great hostility amongst those who lost in their property through this process, and probably the reaction that had the biggest impact on Cuba s economy was that of the US. Castro s communistic policies did not of course help calm this resentment and also took part in leading to the establishment of trade embargos with Cuba from the US. • 43. The Disaster Of Nuclear Reactors An earthquake centered 130 km off shore of the city of Sendai in Miyagi caused 11 nuclear reactors that were operating at 4 different nuclear plants to shut down on March 11, 2011(Fukushima Accident, 2015). The earthquake had a magnitude of 9.0, which is classified as one of the worst earthquakes/ greatest earthquakes on the earthquake scale, the tsunami following the earthquake was about 560 sq km resulting in over 19,000 human deaths. The earthquake and tsunami caused the following nuclear units to shut down, Tokyo Electric Power Company s (Tepco) Fukushima Daiichi 1, 2, 3, and Fukushima Daini 1, 2, 3, 4, Tohoku s Onagawa 1, 2, 3, and Japco s Tokai, total 9377 MWe net (ibid). Nuclear plants create energy through radioactive substances that help the creation of energy. Substances can become radioactive because the nucleus of each atom is unstable and can decay giving off nuclear radiation in the form of alpha particles, beta particles or gamma rays (What is Radioactivity, n.d.). Most power reactors use water as a coolant, in light water reactors, the core is surrounded by the coolant under pressure. The nuclear fuel contains uranium that contains 2 to 4 percent uranium 235. For fuel rods the uranium is changed to uranium dioxide (Nuclear Energy, n.d.). Heat is created by the uranium 235 atoms splitting which is called fission then steam is made which spins a turbine to drive a generator and produces electricity, this is a nuclear reaction.
