Any form of innovation that will benefit students, is welcomed by teachers. Asidefrom trying out these
innovations, teacher leaders see the value of having a support they can get from colleagues,
administrators and students (Butkevika and Zobena,2017). Butkevika and Zobena (2017) further
suggest that teacher leaders also provide other teachers a safe space to experiment and try innovative
approaches. These are important in a sense that teachers need to be in an environment where they can
rejoice over successes and support in times of failures.
