William Shakespeare Influences
To some, William Shakespeare is just a simple poet who wrote simple plays such as
Romeo and Juliet, but some don t realize how many things he changed and knew,
along with his entire persona, being a lie. Shakespeare influenced many modern day
things and for a poet did many interesting things that writers don t do. If you thought
you knew everything about Shakespeare, well you didn t. There are many things
about him that are either hidden or unknown. On top of all this theories and other
things are going around which can change. Shakespeare has many unknown things
about him and has done more than what people realize and give him credit for. He
has theories and ideas going around him that could change the way you think about
him entirely.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
William used these he combines basic words with others and added more to the
phrases, while doing so, making his own phrases in his plays. A good example of
this is Wild goose chase which is used in Romeo and Juliet. William s train of
thought was thinking of a wild goose and how hard they are to catch, so that s
where that phrase came from he made this term and added it. Many theories have
gone around questioning if Shakespeare s work was his own. Many suggest this,
due to the fact that Shakespeare came from such a modest and small ,background,
especially his education. Men with bigger and well known backgrounds, such as
Christopher Marlo, were suggested to be the original author but Shakespeare
scholars have proved they were his own and that most plays during the time had
sketchy histories and came from modest backgrounds. Specific pieces are missing
from Shakespeare s history between 1585 and 1592, d. Due to the fact there was no
record at this time scholars tried to piece together what happened during this time.
Many suggestions were made but nothing extremely important seemed to happen.

Ethos, Epistemology, Logic, Ontology, And Concept Of Self
Culture comprises traditional ideas and related values, and it is the product of actions
(Kroeber and Kluckhohn, 1952); it is learned, shared, and transmitted from one
generation to the next (Linton, 1945); and it organizes life and helps interpret
existence (Gordon, 1964).
Within each culture, paradigms exist. Paradigms determine what we perceive and
experience as real. Cultures are different due to paradigms. There are eight culture
dimensions, which are: Psychobehavioral modality, Axiology, Ethos, Epistemology,
Logic, Ontology, Concept of time and Concept of self. Psychobehavioral modality
refers to the mode of activity most preferred within a culture. Axiology involves the
interpersonal values that a culture teaches. Ethos refers to ... Show more content on

Racism is the systematic subordination of members of targeted racial groups who

Prejudice is defined as an antipathy; that is, a negative feeling, either expressed or
not expressed, based upon a faulty and inflexible generalization which places (a
group of people) at some disadvantage not merited by their actions (Allport, 1954,
Pg. 58). According to the text, individual racism refers to the beliefs, attitudes, and
actions of individuals that support or perpetuate racism. Institutional racism
involves the manipulation of societal institutions to give preferences and
advantages to Whites and at the same time restrict the choice, rights, mobility, and
access of people of color. Cultural racism is the belief that the cultural ways of one
group are superior to those of another. Each type of racism will exist forever. The
authority and power of racism is strong since it s been around for decades. Racism,
whether obvious or subtle, will continue to prevent diverse people from having a

A Note On The Blue Lines
Two blue lines. I knew then that I was pregnant. After being told I couldn t have
kids and tying for three years. This was a blessing or two. I was happy and scared.
Now to tell family and friends the news. How would they act, happy, mad, over
joyed. These was no telling. As a new mother I wanted everything to be perfect.
Always in back of my mind was to have a healthy and safe pregnancyand baby. But
with my history I was considered high risk. It was my 23rd birthday, my first
ultrasound. It was finally time to see my baby and to find out what I was having.
My heart was pounding and my nerves unsettling. Finally the nurse comes in the
room. She puts the camera on the right side of my stomach, and I see my baby. She
moves the camera to the left side, I see the baby again. Thinking to myself wow
that baby moved fast. But then she moved the camera to the middle of my stomach,
my heart went from barely pounding to about to beat out my chest. I was having
twins, they were laying on top of each other like the Ying yang sign. Now the real
journey begins. I was working and visiting the doctorevery two weeks. One week
was just to check my weight, blood pressure, checking babies, heart rates, and
measuring my stomach. The other was an ultrasound to check on babies and to
check me. I was happy that I got to see my babies once a month. Everything was
going well the first 7 ВЅ months. The babies were growing and their heart rates good
and strong. I was getting bigger,
The Happiest Refugee Analysis
Anh s success is ultimately defined by his parent s teachings. In Anh Do s memoir,
The Happiest Refugee , his accomplishments are explored through his relationship
with his family and his career as an established comedian. After fleeing the torn
society of Vietnam, the Do family resettle in Australia and begin their new life with
more opportunities and chances for success. Anh s parents are accountable for part of
his success. Although Anh seems to be the most accomplished in his family, none of
his accomplishments and personal traits would have been obtained if it was not for
his parents. Anh succeeds throughout his life because of his parents. Anh s resilience

His parent s reaction to failure was so positive, Anh s mindset towards failure was
completely changed forever. After losing the position of school captain, Anh
demonstrated resilience by celebrating his effort as well as celebrating the student
who won as opposed to dwelling on the loss with a negative and selfish attitude. The
mindset that Anh posed to the reader was explored through the teaching that failure
doesn t matter and Anh s resilience was strengthened as a result.
His mother sacrificed a lot so Anh could pursue his dreams and passions. His
mother Hein is extremely hard working. When she left her home country in

Ontology is about the reality of nature of things in life.Saunders, Lewis et al. (2009)
This raises concern about question the assumption of researcher themselves about the
way people operated in the world and their commitment and their particular view in

There are two characteristics of ontology which I want to describe and both have
their devotees among business and management researcher who are into business

The first characteristic of ontology which i want to define and discuss is the
Objectivism. These describe the social entities existing in reality in life and social
actors and their concern existence in life. The second aspect of ontology is the
Subjectivism which say that social phenomena are produced from the awareness and
the consequent action of those factors concern about their existence in our society.

Ruby Archuleta and Amarante Cordova Define Community
Community is defined as a group a people living in an area under the same conditions.
Realistically, a community is so much more than this definition. It is people and their
different beliefs that form a community. In the town of Milagro, Amarante Cordova,
Ruby Archuleta, and a town coming together to rescue a fellow community member
from jail exemplify the true spirit of what community is.
Ruby Archuleta makes the biggest difference in bringing the community together.
Ruby is the only member of the community to take intuitive and start fighting for the
rights of the Milagro citizens. While everyone is waiting around to see what will
happen, Ruby gets to work. She ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ruby knows the people are reluctant to sign it, but this does not stop her. During a
four day rain storm, where the whole town is shut down, she goes out and tries to get
people to sign the petition. The conditions are so treacherous that her truck gets stuck
in the mud. She is so determined to get people to sign the petition that she then rides
her horse until it almost dies from exhaustion. If it were not for Ruby Archuleta s
determination to the community the Milagro citizens would not have overcome Ladd
Devine s Miracle Valley Land and Water Project.
Amarante Cordova is one of the oldest people in Milagro, but age does not always
carry wisdom; it comes with experience. Amarante has experienced a lot living in
Milagro all of his life. He knows that the bean field is one of the best things ever to
occur in Milagro. He is sure of one thing, that he is there to protect the field and it is
his god give right to protect the field. Milagro is the only thing that matters to
Cordova. The community is everything, there is nothing going on outside of the
mountains. Milagro is the one thing that matters. Cordova is a very influential part of
the community, but he is too old to make a difference in the growth of Milagro.
Towards the ending there is a very powerful scene were the whole town comes and
meets in front of the police station. The energy is overwhelming and captivating.
While Joe Mondgragon is held captive in side the police station,
Impromptu Research Paper
Have you ever been tapped to make an impromptu group presentation with a half hour
s notice?
When is the last time someone asked you for a brief update on the status of an
upcoming project in about an hour ?
Did you ever stand up in the heat of a membership meeting where negativity
prevailed and asked members to consider a more positive stance on an issue?
These scenarios require you to think on your feet give an impromptu speech if you do
not want to embarrass yourself, and want to demonstrate your knowledge and mental
organization.
A well prepared presentation is possible at the last minute. Be the envy of your

You can apply the same mantra to impromptu presentations. Sear the basic structure
of a presentation into your memory and volunteer to give speeches on the spot. The
more you practice giving impromptu presentations, the more comfortable you
become doing so. Just as people trained to respond to emergencies at a moment s
notice, you will be able to respond with a solid presentation at a moment s notice.
Consider the following key points as well as how to best communicate the content
that is necessary for the requested presentation.
Please With Threes
A lesson I teach early in my presentation skills workshops, and that I learned in school
and in Toastmasters clubs, is to please with threes . Otherwise called the rule of
threes, this means that you create a presentation using a speech structure that consists
of three main components: an opening, a body, and a closing. Manage these three
major parts of a presentation and your speech will be organized every time.
Get Off on the Right Foot
Develop an attention grabbing opening. On short notice, few people expect you to be
witty or humorous. Typically, last minute presenters are expected to address a
specific issue or concern. Implement the following techniques, however, and you just
might come across as witty and instantly engaging in spite of your last minute

Introduction: Coordination chemistry is an important part of inorganic chemistry that
involves the association and dissociation of ligands to a metal. The size, shape, and
nucleophilic strength of a ligand will determine if a substitution reaction will
potentially take place. Also, the charge, size, and oxidation state of the metal will

Report Step 2: By adding the concentrated acid to carbonatotetraamminecobalt (III),
carbonate was lost from the complex and released as carbon dioxide. This allowed
for ammonia to take its place and also freed up a space for chloride ion to
coordinate. This gave the complex an 18 electron count, stabilizing the compound.
The compound was a redish purple color. The step was performed twice due to a
small amount of product (1.7421 grams) the first time. This may be because of not
getting the reaction hot enough the first time to avoid making aquopentamminecobalt
(III). The second time 3.4552 grams product was made, giving a total of 5.1973
grams for the two times the step was performed.
Experimental Step 3: Preparation of Nitropentamminecobalt (III) Chloride
[Co(NH3)5NO2]Cl2: 1.4983 grams of chloropentamminecobalt (III) chloride was
added to 15 mL water and 5 mL of 6M NH3. The solution was warmed for about 10
minutes on and off a hot plate until the salt dissolved. The solution was then
suction filtered to get rid of any remaining solid, then cooled and slightly acidified
using dilute HCl. 1.9986 grams of Na NO2 was added and heated slightly to
dissolve the initial red precipitate that formed. Again, the solution was cooled, and
20 mL of 12.1 M HCl was added. Bubbling occurred and yellow brown crystals were
formed. These crystals were filtered off and washed with ethyl
Ancient Greece s Influence On The Modern World
Athens was one of the most prestigious cities in the ancient civilization. Their
acropolis and how they held themselves to a higher standards than other cities in
ancient Greece is what makes Greece look like how it is popularly known as today.i
So what was ancient Athens like for one to live their?
First of all, let s cover what entertainment was like in ancient Athens. Theater s were
the primary source of entertainment. The ancient Greek theaters developed through
the ceremonial worship of the then God Dionysus and were always communal in
nature (arts and).ii Tragedies were the most popular play styles that the theater put
out, mostly because of the adventure that it brought to the people viewing the play.
However comedies and satyrs were also commonly produced. Theater was not an
everyday thing though. Play s were normally done on festival s or holidays.iii
Ancient theaters in Athens were set up a lot like how today s modern theaters are
set up. They included an orchestra, a main floor that the actor s presented
themselves on and the theatron which was the building that the play s were held
on.iv However the spectator s were not inside a building like today s are, they
viewed from the outside. The building that the actors were sometimes under was just
covering themselves. However it is thought that the stage was often rebuilt for
different plays. This is because the remains of ancient Greek theaters are hard to
come by because they were not made to last due to
Essay about Van Gogh s Painting Bedroom at Arles
When I first looked at this painting, I thought to myself, quot;It s boring. It s boring
to look at. Why paint a picture of an empty bedroom? quot; However, once I started
looking at all the elements, my mind changed.
Van Gogh s use of line really gives depth and character to the piece. The first line
that caught my eye was the line outlining the bottom of the bed. The strong stroke
really gives you a sense of distance between the bottom of the frame and the floor.
Had it been a thin line like those to depict the floorboards, it would look like the bed
was sitting directly on the floor. His use of brush strokes and the thickness of them
vary immensely in the painting to create depth. The strong strokes of ... Show more

In regards to depth, the use of lines in the floorboards creates depth, drawing your
eye to and from the back of the room.
Color values are strong in this painting. It goes back to what I said about color, but
I believe the soft hue of the blue walls against the strong hue of the bed frame and
floor provides enough contrast to pull you into the painting. I also like the strong hue
of the table. It connects the visual of looking at the chairs and the bed. When you
look at the table, your eye cannot help but look at the other furniture.
When I look at the texture of the painting, I do get a true sense of a wood floor, a
wooden bed frame and a piece of fabric hanging from a nail. I think he might have
used different techniques for creating various textures in the room. I think the
floorboards are of multiple layers of paint, as to create the tones of the wood. I
think that the bed frame, however, is just a single layer of paint, almost thin in
nature. The texture of the glass in the window gives you a sense that there is an
actual surface to the glass. His use of texture gives me a sense that I can walk right
into this room.
Obviously, lots of squares and rectangles are used in this painting. It helps the flow
of the painting. When you notice one square or rectangle in the painting, you notice
another one close by, which leads your eye around the room back
Saint Anne, The Mother Of Mary And The Mother Of Jesus
Saint Anne is easily identified as the Mother of Mary and the grandmother of Jesus.
Saint Anne was Palestinian, but born in Bethlehem (Asselin; The Editors of
Encyclopaedia Britannica). Sacred scripture does not mention... Mary s parents , but
there is not a total lack of information about them. Some sources believe that Saint
Annecould not have children (Asselin; Holweck; Saint Anne ; The Editors of
Encyclopaedia Britannica) . Because of this, she and her husband, Saint Joachim,
made many sacrifices and prayed to God for the gift of a child ( Saint Anne ). The
Protoevangelium of James states that an angel appeared to... them, saying that Saint
Anne would conceive and bear a child who would become famous throughout the
world regardless of her old age (Asselin; Holweck; Saint Anne. ; The Editors of
Encyclopaedia Britannica). St. Joachim and St. Anne are Jesus s grandparents and
belong, in a sense, to the Holy Family(Asselin). They are often referred to as a holy
model by Christian couples (Asselin). After Jesus and Mary, St. Anne is one of the
subjects that appears most frequently in iconography (Asselin). Saint Anne s feast
day is celebrated on July 26th (Asselin; Holweck; Saint Anne. ; The Editors of
Encyclopaedia Britannica).
While there are no eye witness descriptions of Saint Anne s active engagement in her
faith, her devotion to God is displayed through her actions and role as a mother. Saint
Anne is the patron saint of many different aspects of

Physical media is found on the physical layer of the OSI model. Therefore physical
media includes cabling and equipment, wiring and the frequencies defined to transfer
data between two points.
Physical media is what physically connects the computers connected on the
internet. For this network two physical media will be used to allow access to the
application layers of the system. The coaxial cables will be used to create a WAN.
While a wireless protocol will be used in allowing users to roam within the network.
A LAN will be represented as follows;
Coaxial cable are classified according to it impedance. The one used in this exercise
will use the impedance of 70 ohms with RG 58. This can be used for the discussed
high speed internet requirements discussed above.

Should Drinking Age Be Moved To 21 Essay
The drinking age should not be moved to 21, some people are suggesting moving it
to age 18. Even some states agree with the people. This law will only apply to beer.
Liquor will not be included do to high Alcohol percentage. People are against it
because they think the under age drinkers will not be responsible enough to take
care of the, selves or other people around them. People think, lowering the drinking
age will cause lots of problems in the community. Today s adults are still waiting
for the youth to show them how responsible we are without drinking before we
grab a beer and drink it. Living without being concern if we re safe or not, is not just
a stereotype. Stories about teenaged robberies and violence are all over the place, so
why should we give these children what they want? People who are against

The Conscience Of Huckleberry Finn Moral Essay
In the article The Conscience of Huckleberry Finn , Jonathan Bennett discusses the
conscience of Huckleberry Finn, Heinrich Himmler and Jonathan Edwards. For the
purposes of this essay I will focus on the argument of Huckleberry Finn. Bennett
concedes that that there is a relationship between sympathy and bad morality.
Sympathy : I use this term to cover every sort of fellow feeling, as when one feels
pity over someone s loneliness, or horrified compassion over his pain, or when one
feels a shrinking reluctance to act in a way which will bring misfortune to someone
else.

offers no feasible solution to the moral issue at hand. In the case of the wife, the
husband continues to circulate illegal images online and begins to defile innocent
children. This is due to the sympathy the wife had for her husband, whom she loved.
In the case of the child getting a vaccine, the mother spared her daughter the two
minute discomfort of receiving a flu shot but at the expense of being bed ridden for
due to the flu and recovery time during her Christmas break. Choosing sympathy is an
immediate solution to a problem that demands more. This is why Bennett is flawed

Martin Luther Reformer As A Reformer
2. Martin Luther is without a doubt the most influential figure during the
Reformation. He was born in Eisleben Germany where his father, Hans, was a
smelter master. Hans s occupation allowed Martin to obtain an education, which very
few were able to achieve during this time in history. In school Luther was able to
learn Latin while continuing his education. While in school, a teacher noticed his
talents and introduced Luther to Latin classics and history. This had a lasting
impression on Luther and would be the foundation to what would lead to his later
works in life. Luther s father wanted his son to become a lawyer to improve their
family status, therefore later Luther attended the University of Erfurt. While
attending the University of Erfurt, Luther was presented with the idea of humanism,
which was recovering the ideas from ancient sources. This idea of humanism was the
central point for Luther s works during the Reformation. Luther s first true steps to
becoming a reformer was following an incident returning to Erfurt, when he had an
epiphany and decide then and there to become a monk. Within the monastery Luther
attempted to be perfect to receive God s grace. After becoming a professor in
Wittenberg, he visited Rome and it was here where Luther had discovered the
corruption of the papacy. Luther discovered from his work in scripture that the
Catholic Churchwas restricting their followers of faith from understanding the true
meaning of the scriptures. However, the

Without enough dopamine and related catecholamines, such as serotonin and
norepinephrine, the frontal lobes are under stimulated and thus unable to perform
their complex functions efficiently. Attention Deficit Disorder is strongly considered
genetically inherited, however, not all cases of ADD may be genetically linked. .
Studies have shown that 20 30% of all hyperactive children have a least one parent
with ADD. The environment is a big influence on a child during pregnancy and after.
Some studies show that a small percentage of ADD cases were influenced by
smoking, drinking alcohol, and using drugs during pregnancy.
Exposure to toxins, such as lead, may also alter the brain chemistry and function. If
you suspect that you are suffering from Attention Deficit Disorder you will need to
discuss it with your medical doctor. In most cases the doctor will recommend that
you visit a psychologist for an evaluation. The psychologist is professionally trained
in human behavior and will be able to provide counseling and testing in areas related
to mental health. The psychologist is not able to prescribe medication to help you,

may be consulted in order to rule out neurological conditions causing your symptoms.

Nature And Nature In Coleridge s Frost At Midnight
Coleridge often explores the relationship between humanity and nature in his poetry.
These two groups are unified in his conversation poem Frost at Midnight , and allow
the reader into his internal thoughts. He meditates on comparisons by pairing the
magical appearance of frost on the windowpane to how his thoughts are in flux and
reflux. Coleridge shows how the thinking of the mindmirrors nature and how
repeating patterns reveal universal aspects of poetry, thoughts, and nature. Coleridge
makes use of the repetitive patterns in nature and uses them to capture the mind s
movement. The structure of the poem uses frost as a guide. Similar to how frost
propagates itself, the poem contains organic, repeating fractal patterns with small
variations within them. These patterns exist throughout nature in honeycombs,
mountains, clouds, and leaves. Furthermore, the speaker of the poem, Coleridge,
and his infant son, Hartley reflect the idea of repetition. Repetition exists as
Hartley is a replica of Coleridge as children can be seen as versions of their parents.
However, Coleridge also points out how he and his son are different as well.
Coleridge wants his son to be intimately familiar with nature, writing With tender
gladness, thus to look at thee, / And think that thou shalt learn far other lore / And in
far other scenes! (lines 49 51). Coleridge will make sure that his son will enjoy nature
and not have the experience he had in the city. The repetitive nature and movement of
Surrealism In Poetic Realism
1930 s France saw the growth of a small film movement known as Poetic Realism.
The tenants of this movement were loose at best and mostly consisted as a tendency
that a handful of independent filmmakers used in their films. Their influences came
primarily from literature of the time and the fantastic styles of Impressionism and
Surrealism. From great literature came the scripts and stories for this movements.
Great writers like Emil Zola and Leo Tolstoy had their tales appear on the screens of
French theaters.
From Impressionism, the Poetic Realist infused their films with stylized cinema,
optical effects, and editing to render reality as it is subjectively perceived ( (

and scenery that were indicative of the mood or perspective of a character. These
techniques were translated into the fantasy like worlds of Poetic Realism.
Surrealism also had a part to play in the creation of these poetic and fantastic worlds.
The dream like quality present in the Surreal movement found its way into Poetic

Essay On White Sox Vs Lance Armstrong
The Baseball World Series of 1919 involved the Chicago White Sox and the
Cincinnati Reds (Linder, 2010). The Series was an exciting exchange that boiled
down to the last game, which was taken by the victorious Cincinnati Reds (Linder,
2010). However, a year later, news broke that the game was rigged by the Chicago
White Sox (Linder, 2010). They threw the game in order to receive a large payout,
which was never given (Linder, 2010). The eight players involved disgraced the
sport and the American public (Linder, 2010). In today s world of sports, scandals
continue to happen. A recent example is the doping scandal of the United States
Postal ServicePro Cycling Team and, their captain, Lance Armstrong. While the US
Postal Service team s doping does not seem to be connected to the White Sox s
gambling problem, they share many similarities. The USPS team dominated the
cycling stage from... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both events shamed and disgraced the American public. George Gorman, as quoted
from Linder, said it the best, [t]housands of men throughout the chilly hours of the
night, crouched in line waiting for the opening of the first World Series game. All
morning they waited, eating a sandwich perhaps, never daring to leave their places
for a moment...Gentleman, they went to see a ballgame. But all they saw was a con
game! (Linder, 2010). The same is true for the USPS team. They led their fans to a
lie. Fans paid to watch them compete and win. The fans were cheated. What they saw
were superhumans dominating a very human sport. Moreover, both teams encouraged
the hopes and dreams of American youths. They inspired new generations of baseball
players and cyclists. However, their dishonesty disgraced these youths who believed
in them. The US Postal Service team and the White Sox affected American society.
Both, through scandal, humiliated supporters and discouraged
Let It Go Parody
Let It Brew Up Some Laughter Let It Go is a popular song from Disney s Frozen,
which is about a girl named Anna who searches for her sister, Elsa, to break the
spell of a perpetual winter she has cast on her kingdom. Elsa sings Let It Go after
years of fretting what others would think if they found out about her dangerous,
magical powers. Let It Brew is only one of many parodies of Let It Go that exist
because Frozen is such a well known movie. The parodies typically reflect on some
dramatic event which exaggerates the minor struggles teens and young adults
experience in America. For example, a college student changed the lyrics to express
her stress that comes from finals week. Another young girl changed the words to be

[It] has obvious affinities for the author s attitude toward his work, the way he felt,
what made him write (Beardsley and Wimsatt Jr.). I utilized the idea of intentional
fallacy in the creation of my parody by assuming my audience was familiar with Let
it Go and Starbucks terms. My diction throughout the song is thus intentional because
I wrote it in the exact way I thought would make people laugh. Moreover, my
targeted audience is intentional because I assume the reader would know the original
song. With this assumption, I also predict that my audience will find humor in the
parody since the song will elicit laughter if and only if the audience recognizes the
mimicry within the
Pros And Cons Of Technology Based Society
With the world we live in today, it s not a secret that we are moving towards a
more technological based society. Just like with other aspects of life, there are pros
and cons to this transition. First off, with technology becoming more of a necessity
in today s world, more people and businesses rely on this for their daily lives and
operations. For example, according to (Schiffer, 2017), a casino used an internet
connected fishtankto help keep track of the tank s temperature, cleanliness, and food.
The article goes on to tell how the casino s information was hacked by hackers
accessing to the fish tank. Personally, I was amazed by how the hackers could hack
an entire casino, through one fish tank. On the other hand, a technology based world
can also make life easier. For example, Amazon has now begun to use robots in their
warehouses to sort and pick items. Although this may threaten some employee s jobs,
these machines are easier to operate and can be monitored more closely than an
employee. The fish tank in the casino and the robots that Amazon use are classified as
the Internet of Things.
According to (Cornish, 2017), the internet of things refers to electronic devices that
transmits information back and forth of the internet. These items include but are not
limited to Fitbits and Amazon Echo with Alexa. I personally own an Amazon Echo
and I can say that I love using it. Using only your voice, it can play music, call
someone, or even search the Internet. With the
Benjamin Franklin Influence
Perhaps, one of the most quotable men in the United States history is Benjamin
Franklin. He was a visionary who coined multitudes of aphorisms such as, Have
you something to do tomorrow? Do it today and Industry gives comfort and plenty
and respect. However, his talent was not only limited to his ability to make
memorable phrases, he was also a pioneer in inventions from the stove to bifocals to
the lighting rod. He is a man who has become known as one of the founding fathers
of the United Statesand who, to this day, graces our hundred dollar bills. Ironically
enough, this man who has become engraved as an American national treasure was not
always a ferment nationalist, and even felt a sense of loyalty toward the mother

He believed that uniting the colonies and England would lead to a stronger nation.
Franklin was sure that having the crown, as a mother country, was not an ailment
but rather a powerful helping hand for the colonies. In fact, as he and the colonies
grew in independence and self sufficiency, Franklin and other leaders drew up a
proposal to ensure their voice in legislation without being free of the power of the
English. He states, By this plan the general government was to be administered by
a president general, appointed and supported by the crown, a grand council was to
be chosen by the representative assemblies (Franklin 102). However, the English
rejected the idea and deemed it too democratic and although the proposal was not
approved, Franklin still held some levels of patriotism towards Britain. Keeping in
mind the high regard he held England it is no wonder he was more so inclined
around the time of the Seven Years War to fight alongside the British. He was
quick to come up with plans on defense and was efficient in acquiring what was
needed in terms of money and defense. He worked closed with Generals and
Governors, and was an instrumental part of the war. Franklin was sure to solidify
his place as an American who was highly regarded by the English and in a sense
might have been due to his pursue of

Insurance Liability And Liability Insurance
There are many lines of different property and casualty insurances. Even though the
general purpose and utilization of these insurances is the same across the nation,
prices fluctuate from state to state. We will get into more detail in regards to Errors
and Omission Insurance (E O) in the State of California.
Errors and Omission Insurance, also called Professional Liability Insurance or
Malpractice Insurance, is used to cover legal expenses caused by potential errors and
omissions during operations and stipulation of cases.
When a company or firm is sued for making a mistake, performing services in a
negligent way or misrepresenting or financially harming a client, the consequences
can harm a company in an irreversible way.
This is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since E O insurance is important to carry when running a business most
professions have this type of insurance to cover a potential lawsuit that would
otherwise cause them to file for bankruptcy. It may come as a surprise that some
states do not require businesses to have E O insurance, but a large portion of
contracts with clients required insurance for the contract to be in effect. Having an
E O insurance policy may sometimes be a selling point for potential clients. When a
client sees that a business has this type of insurance it gives them peace of mind
knowing that if there happens to be any error or omission throughout the process
they will be compensated. The same applies to the actual company. It makes it easier
to accept new clients and cases knowing that in case of any alleged misunderstanding
or disputes, the policy would bring in protection and coverage.
According to techinsurance.com about 70% of businesses raise prices or cut hiring
when sued and yet, $35 billion = annual out of pocket cost of lawsuits for small
businesses. These numbers are a clear indication of how important E O is for a
business to operate.
Before getting into pricing, perhaps we should take a look at the overall market
around the E O, including how companies are hedging themselves against the
possibility of a lawsuit.

The Yellow Wallpaper Symbolism Essay
Commonly overlooked in its significance, the garden in The Yellow Wallpaper
successfully represents all elements of the main character s rebellious intentions.
Generally, a garden features well trimmed vegetation, which is guarded by a fence or
wall to keep away outside forces, whether it be humans or animals with intentions to
harm the plants. In contrast, nature operates in a free flowing manner, with its
greenery tangled in abundance and lacking any type of structure. On the surface, it
may seem that the gardens kempt appearance is a blessing to the plants within, as
they are saved from the uncertainties of natural life by being incubated in a specific
space. The main character of The Yellow Wallpaper originally follows this notion

The word choice the main character employs to describe the plants is particularly
notable, as it implies a disobedient appearance in a garden that expects conformity
in its essence. This oddly described foliage becomes the inanimate representation of
the main character herself, who is also trying to rebel against a world passionate in
its attempts to suppress and demean. The plants become riotous and gnarly to
actively resist attempts to be subordinated by the garden, and the main character s
observation of this conveys her desire to revolt, even though she cannot express her
displeasure in a communicable language. The main character s envy of the plants
makes this symbol even more powerful, as the greenery represents where she seeks
to be: in a position where she can fight her oppressors by being openly
nonconformist. Unfortunately for the main character, her rebellious behavior haves
to be tucked away in the subconscious and in her own thoughts, as she is unable to
voice legitimate concerns in a patriarchal
Freakonomics Rhetorical Analysis
An incentive is a bullet, a key: an often tiny object with astonishing power to
change a situation (Levitt Dubner 16). Freakonomics is a book written in 2005 by
award winning economist Steven Levitt and former New York Times journalist
Stephen Dubner while they both resided in different states. The use of simple
diction makes it so a larger audience can be reached; readers vary from everyday
people to students to economists. In order to better explain economics, Levitt and
Dubner appeal to their audience by forgoing economic jargon and using simpler terms
to ensure that the readers understand and relate to what is being explained throughout
the passages. The authors also appeal to the readers through their credible
background and logically by using statistics, researches, facts and parallelism.
The passage begins with the authors asking the readers to imagine for a moment...

When explaining economics instead of using large over complicated words, the
authors simply state that economics is, at root, the study of incentives. Rather than
utilizing economist argot, Levitt and Dubner describe economics in a way that
makes it easier to understand and put into perspective. As the passage continues,
the authors provide the audience with many relatable examples such as if you
break curfew you are grounded. People respond to incentives, it s the way our
society works, an incentive is simply a means of urging people to do more of a
good thing and less of a bad thing. Like Levitt and Dubner previously stated,
economics is the study of incentives and how it affects society and their decision

Main Reasons For The US Defeat In The Vietnam War
Defeat in Vietnam has left the United States deeply divided (Hallin, 1986:3). The
Vietnam War became a major Cold War conflict in the 1960s period. This essay will
evaluate the following question; what are the main reasons for the United States (US)
defeat in the Vietnam War? The research was done through the qualitative research
method which included books, journals and articles. This essay will argue that the
main reasons for the US defeat in the Vietnam War was because of their inefficient
tactics, inexperienced soldiers, and both international and home pressure. This
research is important because the question has not been answered to its fullest extent.
Additionally, it provides evidence that countries with powerful nuclear weapons and

however, due to conscription of young men the support decreased (Bottaro,

because of the propaganda which was against the US due to the Soviet Union. Also,
they supported the fact their country was preventing communism take over in
Vietnam. However, things changed after conscription of young men to fight and
media coverage of the war. The Vietnam War was complicated by factors that had
never before occurred in America of a war, because the American media had come

the Vietnam War was the first ever televised war, Americans and the world were able
to see the destruction caused by the US soldiers on Vietnamese land and people.
Americans did not understand why the US government allowed soldiers to continue a

the 1960s, the anti war movement was one of the most diverse forces in the 20th

The sleek bay horse that bore Reginald Windsor ambled down the forest path with
the comfortable, well known rhythm that he had become accustomed to. It was the

he had been on constant duty as his superiors worked out the details on the plan to
move out the native population from the area once and for all. Colonel Anderssen, a
stickler for the minutest detail and an old sort who preferred pen and paper to the

Behind the natives howled in anger, for while they had hit their mark they had not

Culling In Australia
Invasive species known as the red fox, feral cats and amels have proven to show that
Australia has suffered more than most countries around the world from invasive
species due to the species imposing huge costs on farming and threatening native
wildlife. Typically, the first response to such problems is Culling, not knowing that
by eradicating, reducing their abundance and impact can do more bad than good. A
recent wildlife study conducted by CSIRO Wildlife Research has shown that invasive

Level culling is often used to reduce their impact of reproducing, but in open wildlife
populations, thee effectiveness of culling is uncertain.

The data presented in the study showed trends in antibiotic resistance patterns of
methicillin resistant and methicillin sensitive Staphylococcus aureus in KYAMCH at
Enayetpur, Sirajgonj, teaching and referral hospital of Bangladesh.
Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is one of the major pathogens
associated with community acquired serious nosocomial infection because these
strains generally show multiple drug resistance which limits treatment possibilities
(7).
In this study, the isolation rate of MRSA on gender basis revealed more from male
(54.5%) than female (45.5%). Persons younger than 30 years of age were found to
be more MRSA carrier 112 (23%) and less found among below 10 years of age 50
(10%) (Figure 2). Our age and gender based findings did not agree with those
findings obtained by other studies where no significant variations were noticed. (8).
Population of this study is villagers of working group (30 years) who are financially
important. Through medical care they became subject of this study. On the contrary,
other studies are carried out in the city where all residents irrespective of gender and

to replace traditional laboratory or still have some weak point that need to be
reconsidered in order to replace it? In this topic, I will discuss about the merit and

As we all know, with the development of ICT, engineering education through ODL
is never a dream and Virtual Laboratory is also one of the ODL tool. It makes no
difference for students to either conduct the experiment in a campus or doing it in
their home. It is very convenient as student do not need to go to physical laboratories
to do the experiment. They can conduct it at anywhere and anytime whenever they
want.
As we all know, during the process of conducting an experiment, safety is the main
concern. With the use of virtual laboratory, there is no safe concerns as compared to
real laboratory. It is very useful especially when it comes to experiments that may
cause harm to human body.
Virtual laboratory also provide educational benefits. One of it is virtual laboratory let
students to learn methodology, pedagogy and user friendly. In normal laboratory
class, some student did not really able to understand some concepts that teach in the
lab. However, studies have found that instead of using the real lab, it is easier for the
students to learn difficult and complex concepts through the virtual laboratory.
Studies also found that students are more active in learning in a virtual laboratory
rather than in a real lab class. This is because virtual laboratory provides a user
friendly environment and easy to understand the concepts. Experiments can be
repeated many times and there are no inconveniences in failing the

Medical School And Becoming A Doctor
First, I plan to attend Auburn for four years under a pre med major. I plan on
taking difficult classes that will further my knowledge in medicine. Then, I plan on
going to medical school and becoming a doctor. To do this, I will have to work hard
and concentrate on my school work. I was unsure which field I want specialize in
(Anesthesiology, Pediatrics, Pharmacist), but hopefully throughout the course of my
education, I will narrow it down. I am currently enrolled in a medical program. The
program is offered to high schoolseniors who have a strong interest in medicine. The
application involved an essay, teacher recommendations, transcripts and SAT scores.
On Mondays and Wednesdays, I go to a school of health sciences and learn Anatomy
and Physiology, on Tuesday and Thursday I attend Penn State Berks, and go to a
chemistry lab and chemistry lecture. Then on Friday, I shadow different units of the
hospital. My favorite rotation is the surgical unit, I think this could potentially be the
area I specialize. This program is an amazing insight into the lives of hospital and
confirmed my thoughts about working in one.
Four years ago, I told my parents that I was interested in a career involving
medicine. I really wanted to help people, and at the time, I did not think I would be
comfortable working in the hospital, the thought of sick, dying people all in one

c. Corporate bond
A type of bonds is issued by a corporation.Corporate bonds often pay higher rates
than government or municipal bonds, because they tend to be riskier. The
bondholder receives interest payments (yield) and the principal, usually
100,000VND, is repaid on a fixed maturity date (bonds can mature anywhere
between 1 to 30 years). Generally, changes in interest rates are reflected in bond
prices. Bonds are considered to be less risky than stocks, since the company has to
pay off all its debts (including bonds) before it handles its obligations to
stockholders. Corporate bonds have a wide range of ratings and yields because the
financial health of the issuers can vary widely. The most popular types of this bond
is convertible bonds. However, nowadays, many corporations choose to issue
floating rate bonds; MOF estimated that there were about 18,000 floating rate bonds
are issued in 2011. The feature of this bond is time saving, reducing cost

concept behind Kezia : the literal meaning of it and the deeper meaning behind it.
The simple explanation is that you have three characters on who all describe a
certain situation from their point of view, which is the execution of a woman. A
priest, a prison guard who s also the executioner and the woman in question, Kezia.
First, they paint a general picture. Then they explain how the character feels
connected to Kezia. Last is their view on the shooting of Kezia. The deeper
meaning of the concept is the gradual downfall of our society. There are also
political and social critical messages in it. More in general, comments on the fact
that religion and power are getting more entwined every day. This is also about the
responsibility that everyone has as a member of our society. It s your civil duty to
act when you need to. The last excerpt is written in the form of Kezia s last words.
ACT I: THE PRISON PRIEST The scene begins where the preacher is speaking
against the church/illuminati which would harm him. The prison priest character is
saying that the church has become corrupt and hints possibly at a higher power
behind the church and the church s use of fear or war (death) to control people. The
fact that if people found out the church was corrupted, the foundations of their lives
would be broken down. They use propaganda to force people into war dying willing
for a cause they don t fully understand.
Humorous Wedding
Article 3
Dear Bride To Be: You Got Last 8 Minutes To Look Into Your Preparations
When you will look in your life, there must be the situation where you would have
realized that it is better to safe than being sorry. By the way, it is the truth of the life
and you must follow this at every point of life.
And when you consider the points of life, the auspicious and very important is
Wedding Day. It is the day when not only the bride but the groom is also thoughtful
about what to wear and do, let alone the hassles of the bride.
Therefore, it is said that before it is too late, get a quick check of all your
preparations that you have been doing since the time. It is the time when even the

In such cases, extra diaper pins will help you get the Wedding Alterations Manchester

require walking down the aisle with whole of the Wedding Accessories Manchester

the day that is only possible if she is on a good diet. This good diet comes after a

for on the day.

you must keep a portable steamer with you. That will keep moisturizing and maintain

The Velcrofessionals In The School System
The Velcro Effect article had many very good points and shared a lot of informative
information. The beginning story about Beth really opened my eyes to how we tend
to just assume the level of help a student needs, with out actually giving them the
chance to tell us or show us. The school system seems to label students and place
them with paraprofessionals, with out fully examining the situation and what can be
done. Paraprofessionals are much needed in the schoolsystem and play many roles,
however they are not qualified for all the roles they are given. The article shares how
many paraprofessionals are teaching and helping students with disabilities that they
are simply unable to teach, because they are not qualified. This is not beneficial
Rarity Blood Type
Another important consideration is the rarity of blood type. People with type AB
are, indeed, unique individuals sharing their blood type with only 3% of the
population. Because this type shows A and B genes, it inherits type A s low
stomach acid and type B s adaptation to meats, where meats get stored as fat due to
low stomach acid. Type AB also shows a correlation with anemia, heart disease and
bronchial infections. It is also common for this blood type to show inhibited insulin
production which may result in hypoglycemia and a less efficient metabolism of
foods. Another rare blood type is type O negative. It is a special type that is most in
demand by hospitals since it can treat people with any blood type due to its lack of
antigens. However,

When one observes a painting or drawing, the lines direct the eyes attention and
dictate the piece. Line is used in nearly every aspect of art, whether is an actual
mark on a piece of paper of if it is implied in the work. Some of the descriptive
characteristics of the line, often heard when describing a piece of art, are:
horizontal, vertical, angular, curving and diagonal. Lines are not only descriptive,
but they are also often expressive. For example, vertical lines often convey a feeling
of strength and balance, and thin lines convey fragility. In The Maundy Thursday
Festival before the Ducal Palace in Venice, by Canaletto, lines are used to guide the
audience s eye and to form the boundaries of the work at hand. Canaletto uses lots of
Max Weber, The Study Of Human Society
One of the world s most difficult, but also most important, endeavors is to analyze
and interpret humans and their behaviors. How can we understand the complexities
of humanity when there are infinite factors involved in the mind of each person?
Sociology, the study of human society, aims to accomplish this task. Many
intellectuals throughout the years have been essential to the formation of sociology,
including Auguste Comte, Harriet Martineau, Karl Marx, and Г‰mile Durkheim.
However, the work of Max Weber, one of the founders of sociology, aligns best with
my personal beliefs. Weber was born in Erfurt, Germany in 1864 and was raised
during a time when Germany was rapidly changing in response to the industrial
revolution. He observed the rise of a new economic system called capitalism,
prompting his later theory analyzing its foundations. Weber served in the military,
studied law, worked as a professor, and published his ideas. His work laid the
foundations of interpretive sociology. Weber took an interesting approach to
sociology by focusing on the characteristics and thought processes of the individual
rather than large amounts of quantitative data. His sociological approach is based on
the belief that each individual s actions are shaped by their surroundings, rather than a
set of universal laws that govern all of humanity. Weber s convincing argument about
the foundations of capitalism and his individualistic approach to sociology align with
my sociological beliefs.
Sentencing Of Sentencing And Sentencing Guidelines
Sentencing is a complicated, and sometimes extremely harsh set of rules. It has very
deterrence, and retribution based set of rules for the most part. Which is indicative of
the society we as americans live in. Through this paper i will explain each type of
sentencing guideline. They are Intermediate, Determinate, Mandatory, Concurrent,
and consecutive. Also we will talk about how in some states mandatory guidelines
actually can lower the total prisonpopulation. But how in states that are not resource
drive, incapacitationis on the rise. Finally i will convey my thoughts on sentencing.
How it is a flawed and ,mostly broken system.
Sentencing types: The text describes the five main types of sentencing. The first of
which is intermediate sentencing. This type of sentencing is considered to be more
in tune with rehabilitation than other sentencing. This is because the sentence a person
serves is not simply based on how many years a person serves. The book gives a
great example to help clarify, the person shall not be imprisoned for less than 2 or
3 years to 10 years (Stohr 73). What this means is that the person does not
necessarily have to serve the maximum of ten years. With good behavior, and by
showing that they have changed they may be released in as little as 2 years. Next
there determinate sentencing. This essentially serve as the opposite of indeterminate.
Meaning that the prisoner must serve a fixed number of years before release. In the
Performance Management System At Business
Performance Management System in Business 1
Performance management system is a set of instructions to ensure employees about
the level of performance which they are expected to follow. Their individual goals
which they are expected to follow to achieve the objectives of the organizations.
Employee performance is the competitive advantage for creating a successful
business. Performance management can focus on the performance of an organization,
a department, employee, or even the processes to build a product of service, as well
as many other areas (www.sucessfactor.com).
The main motive of the performance management system to ensure that all
employees are performing their responsibilities in a prescribed manner which is set
by the employer. Their commitment and dedication toward their job duties ensure
the success of the organization in which they are employed. Large organizations
have more formal ways to describe the performance of the employees where as in
small organizations informal approach is adopted by the manager to ensure the goal of
the organization and expected performance from an employee. Performance
management system provide feedback to employees about what they have learned
previously to achieve the targets of the organization and what they need to learn and
follow to meet the future goal of the organization.
In its traditional concept, performance management was seen as an approach to
directing and controlling the performance of individual by
Steve Rogers Character Analysis
The first thing it is important to know about Steve Rogers is that he has been
chronically ill since he was a child. There are conflicting reports about what illnesses
he suffered from, but there is some consensus even still: he had both scarlet and
rheumatic fever, chronic or frequent colds, sinusitis, heart palpitations, and, the most
important to this app, asthma. Now, the asthma alone would have been enough to
make his life difficult treatment wasn t very advanced in the days of Steve s
childhood, and it would have made it hard for him to do much but compounding that,
society s reaction to asthma was largely unfavorable. It was thought at the time that
asthma was a result of a mental weakness, rather than anything medically wrong,...

Steve feels an obligation to his country, to his fellow man, that his body initially
doesn t allow him to fulfill, but that doesn t stop him from trying. One might
imagine that this is due to his mother and father s influence in his life both of them
set aside their lives in the hopes of making life better for others. His mother was a
nurse in a TB ward, and his father died of mustard gas in World War I. Due to these
two influences, as well as his own intrinsic sense of moral obligation, Steve feels
compelled to fight in World War II, despite the fact that he is, by all measures,
completely unsuited for it. As the doctor at the beginning of Captain America: The
First Avenger states, Steve would be ineligible for service based on his asthma
alone but that doesn t stop him from trying to enlist five times. While there is an
element of having something to prove to the world Steve s illness throughout his
life and society s reaction to it has left him with a chip on his shoulder a mile wide
he also just plain wants to help, because he sees it as his moral obligation to. Now,
Bucky says that there are important jobs on the home front, and Steve could do
any one of them, but Steve denies this, saying There are men laying down their
lives. I ve got no right to do any less than them. Nearly 70 years later, Steve is
called back into service just over two weeks after having been pulled out of the ice,
and he goes without a complaint, even though he s still adjusting to the reality of
his new world. Steve s own mental well being is less important than his obligation
to the rest of the world. Two years after that, when Steve is forced to fight his best
friend, he begins by asking Bucky not to make him do it and then fights him anyway,
because Bucky is standing between him and his avenue to save the world, and Steve
s duty to the world is more important than his own
Hmong Family Cultural Analysis
Cultural Perspective in the Hmong Community The abuses that were mentioned the
Hmong community is still happening in America today, yet we do not hear much
about it. The reason being may be the cultural perspective in the Hmong community
that prohibit or limits an individual to report these abuses. In the article Hmong
Immigrants Perception of Family Secrets and Recipients of Disclosure, it examines
the issues that Hmong families have of keeping secrets and it discusses the things
that Hmong families consider to be secrets and why these families keep it within
themselves. The Hmong are a very conservative group of people and telling others
about their family problems can lead to stigma, shame, and humiliation (Xiong,
2006). This explains... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By choosing to come back home and live with the parents, it does not only bring
shame to the family and her but, now it has also ruined the husband s name and
reputation. In Hmong families, there are roles that differentiate one another. Men
are usually the head of the household, the one who makes most of the decisions.
Women are to take care of the children and the domestic work around the house.
Children are to listen and obey their parents command. Even the son and daughters
have different roles from one another. The sons will do all the heavy work and
would be most likely favored by the parents over the daughters. The daughters role
is to help the Mom with taking care of the other children and the domestic work
around the house (Owen, 2007). Because of the strict gender roles that everyone
has in the family, it makes it difficult for women and children to come forward
about their abuse (Her, 2013). It becomes difficult to look for help or resources when
the family consists of a hierarchy (CACF,
Christian Life Coaching Analysis
I like how Dr. Gary Collins, in his book Christian Coaching: Helping Others Turn
Potential into Reality (Collins, 2002), calls attention to the 1500 s description of the
word coach as a horse drawn vehicle that was used to get you to where you wanted to
go. You can use that definition as one way to define the word coach in the coaching
terms. In the presentation Coaching: The new helping relationship , Dr. Catherine
Hart Weber defines coaching as an ongoing intimate transparent relationship for those
making important changes in life. The big difference between coaching and all the of
the others, is that as a coach you aren t solving there problems or helping them heal
from the past, you are the motivation to think further into next steps of what they
want to accomplish. This can by in many different aspects of the clients life. I would
say that counseling, mentoring, and discipleship are all about relationship, but
coaching, even though there is a relationship, it is results driven. Coaching is focused
on the thing that the coachee wants to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The biblical worldview that a Christian coach should have would change the way
they would approach a situation. It is no longer just about results or being the best
you, a Christian coach should add in the biblical promises that scripture offers about
those who believe in Jesus. I love that in the presentation Christian Coaching:
Scriptural and Spiritual Foundations, the say that all coaching should be be rooted in
scripture. That way no matter what happens years from then the client can come back
to the promise found in scripture and relive the moment. Christian Coaching is based
on the fact that us as Christians have a purpose and a giftedness that God has blessed
us with. As we coach it should be our goal to make sure our clients understand this
and begin their journey to really figuring out what their kingdom impact is going to
Es G And Ehs Management Practices
In today s business matter, numerous perspectives emphasize sustainability. Several
environmental, social, and governance issues, including health and safety among
other factors, have contributed to the diverse aspects of sustainability. The complex
business reforms brought by the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), including
social and governance (ES G) issues remain indistinctive in several disciplines. Some
widespread proposals exist over the application of, ES G and EHS management
practices and methods. To understand sustainability, it is essential to discover how it
has emerged and maintained a business focus.
Sustainable Development
In 1987, the term sustainable development was introduced in the World Commission

Policymakers must consider a new development paradigm because it concerns public
welfare. Future generations must be taken into account when creating these
developments within the paradigm. Not only should the paradigm consider the
interdependence of economic, social, and environmental dimensions, but also human
needs must be met without compromising the future generation s quality of life.
One must observe that sustainability, is conceptually a broader interception of
environmental, social, and economic issues. In 1989, William Rees, a professor with
a creditable Ph.D. in population ecology, suggested that an agreeable universal
definition of the concept sustainable development was precondition to developing
acceptable policies and plans to support this concept. During the same year, Swedish
doctor named Karl Hendrick Robert, assembled a group of scientists and researchers.
Similarly, he believed the term lacked practical sense, thus his mission was to reach a
scientifically meaning for it. Subsequently, the research concluded that stainability is
the capacity of the human society to continue indefinitely within the cycles of natural
environment. A broad connotation on sustainable development created a complex

Assignment #1 Daniel Case INTRODUCTION Abalone populations are an economic
and recreational resource that is threatened by a variety of factors, which include
pollution, disease, loss of habitat, predation, commercial harvesting, sport fishing, and
illegal harvesting. As a result of the aforementioned factors, abalone populations have
declined considerably, pushing some abalone species to the verge of extinction. To
help curb over harvesting and better protect abalone populations, it is important for
biologists to efficiently and quickly determine the age composition of a regional
abalone population. The purpose of this report is to examine the data from an

The three likely independent data variables to predict abalone age are volume,

  • 2. William Shakespeare Influences To some, William Shakespeare is just a simple poet who wrote simple plays such as Romeo and Juliet, but some don t realize how many things he changed and knew, along with his entire persona, being a lie. Shakespeare influenced many modern day things and for a poet did many interesting things that writers don t do. If you thought you knew everything about Shakespeare, well you didn t. There are many things about him that are either hidden or unknown. On top of all this theories and other things are going around which can change. Shakespeare has many unknown things about him and has done more than what people realize and give him credit for. He has theories and ideas going around him that could change the way you think about him entirely.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... William used these he combines basic words with others and added more to the phrases, while doing so, making his own phrases in his plays. A good example of this is Wild goose chase which is used in Romeo and Juliet. William s train of thought was thinking of a wild goose and how hard they are to catch, so that s where that phrase came from he made this term and added it. Many theories have gone around questioning if Shakespeare s work was his own. Many suggest this, due to the fact that Shakespeare came from such a modest and small ,background, especially his education. Men with bigger and well known backgrounds, such as Christopher Marlo, were suggested to be the original author but Shakespeare scholars have proved they were his own and that most plays during the time had sketchy histories and came from modest backgrounds. Specific pieces are missing from Shakespeare s history between 1585 and 1592, d. Due to the fact there was no record at this time scholars tried to piece together what happened during this time. Many suggestions were made but nothing extremely important seemed to happen. during this

Now to tell family and friends the news. How would they act, happy, mad, over joyed. These was no telling. As a new mother I wanted everything to be perfect. Always in back of my mind was to have a healthy and safe pregnancyand baby. But with my history I was considered high risk. It was my 23rd birthday, my first ultrasound. It was finally time to see my baby and to find out what I was having. My heart was pounding and my nerves unsettling. Finally the nurse comes in the room. She puts the camera on the right side of my stomach, and I see my baby. She moves the camera to the left side, I see the baby again. Thinking to myself wow that baby moved fast. But then she moved the camera to the middle of my stomach, my heart went from barely pounding to about to beat out my chest. I was having twins, they were laying on top of each other like the Ying yang sign. Now the real journey begins. I was working and visiting the doctorevery two weeks. One week was just to check my weight, blood pressure, checking babies, heart rates, and measuring my stomach. The other was an ultrasound to check on babies and to check me. I was happy that I got to see my babies once a month. Everything was going well the first 7 ВЅ months. The babies were growing and their heart rates good and strong. I was getting bigger,

Realistically, a community is so much more than this definition. It is people and their different beliefs that form a community. In the town of Milagro, Amarante Cordova, Ruby Archuleta, and a town coming together to rescue a fellow community member from jail exemplify the true spirit of what community is. If it were not for Ruby Archuleta s determination to the community the Milagro citizens would not have overcome Ladd Devine s Miracle Valley Land and Water Project. Amarante Cordova is one of the oldest people in Milagro, but age does not always carry wisdom; it comes with experience. Amarante has experienced a lot living in Milagro all of his life. He knows that the bean field is one of the best things ever to occur in Milagro. He is sure of one thing, that he is there to protect the field and it is his god give right to protect the field. • 8. Impromptu Research Paper Have you ever been tapped to make an impromptu group presentation with a half hour s notice? When is the last time someone asked you for a brief update on the status of an upcoming project in about an hour ? Did you ever stand up in the heat of a membership meeting where negativity prevailed and asked members to consider a more positive stance on an issue? These scenarios require you to think on your feet give an impromptu speech if you do not want to embarrass yourself, and want to demonstrate your knowledge and mental organization. You can apply the same mantra to impromptu presentations. Sear the basic structure of a presentation into your memory and volunteer to give speeches on the spot. The more you practice giving impromptu presentations, the more comfortable you become doing so. Just as people trained to respond to emergencies at a moment s notice, you will be able to respond with a solid presentation at a moment s notice. Consider the following key points as well as how to best communicate the content that is necessary for the requested presentation. Please With Threes A lesson I teach early in my presentation skills workshops, and that I learned in school and in Toastmasters clubs, is to please with threes . Otherwise called the rule of threes, this means that you create a presentation using a speech structure that consists of three main components: an opening, a body, and a closing. Manage these three major parts of a presentation and your speech will be organized every time. Get Off on the Right Foot Develop an attention grabbing opening. On short notice, few people expect you to be witty or humorous. Typically, last minute presenters are expected to address a specific issue or concern. Implement the following techniques, however, and you just might come across as witty and instantly engaging in spite of your last minute

Introduction: Coordination chemistry is an important part of inorganic chemistry that involves the association and dissociation of ligands to a metal. Report Step 2: By adding the concentrated acid to carbonatotetraamminecobalt (III), carbonate was lost from the complex and released as carbon dioxide. This allowed for ammonia to take its place and also freed up a space for chloride ion to coordinate. This gave the complex an 18 electron count, stabilizing the compound. The compound was a redish purple color. The step was performed twice due to a small amount of product (1.7421 grams) the first time. This may be because of not getting the reaction hot enough the first time to avoid making aquopentamminecobalt (III). The second time 3.4552 grams product was made, giving a total of 5.1973 grams for the two times the step was performed. Experimental Step 3: Preparation of Nitropentamminecobalt (III) Chloride [Co(NH3)5NO2]Cl2: 1.4983 grams of chloropentamminecobalt (III) chloride was added to 15 mL water and 5 mL of 6M NH3. The solution was warmed for about 10 minutes on and off a hot plate until the salt dissolved. The solution was then suction filtered to get rid of any remaining solid, then cooled and slightly acidified using dilute HCl. 1.9986 grams of Na NO2 was added and heated slightly to dissolve the initial red precipitate that formed. Again, the solution was cooled, and 20 mL of 12.1 M HCl was added. Bubbling occurred and yellow brown crystals were formed. These crystals were filtered off and washed with ethyl
  • 10. Ancient Greece s Influence On The Modern World Athens was one of the most prestigious cities in the ancient civilization. Their acropolis and how they held themselves to a higher standards than other cities in ancient Greece is what makes Greece look like how it is popularly known as today.i So what was ancient Athens like for one to live their? First of all, let s cover what entertainment was like in ancient Athens. Theater s were the primary source of entertainment. The ancient Greek theaters developed through the ceremonial worship of the then God Dionysus and were always communal in nature (arts and).ii Tragedies were the most popular play styles that the theater put out, mostly because of the adventure that it brought to the people viewing the play. However comedies and satyrs were also commonly produced. Theater was not an everyday thing though. Play s were normally done on festival s or holidays.iii Ancient theaters in Athens were set up a lot like how today s modern theaters are set up. They included an orchestra, a main floor that the actor s presented themselves on and the theatron which was the building that the play s were held on.iv However the spectator s were not inside a building like today s are, they viewed from the outside. The building that the actors were sometimes under was just covering themselves. However it is thought that the stage was often rebuilt for different plays. This is because the remains of ancient Greek theaters are hard to come by because they were not made to last due to
  • 11. Essay about Van Gogh s Painting Bedroom at Arles When I first looked at this painting, I thought to myself, quot;It s boring. It s boring to look at. Why paint a picture of an empty bedroom? quot; However, once I started looking at all the elements, my mind changed. Van Gogh s use of line really gives depth and character to the piece. The first line that caught my eye was the line outlining the bottom of the bed. The strong stroke really gives you a sense of distance between the bottom of the frame and the floor. Had it been a thin line like those to depict the floorboards, it would look like the bed was sitting directly on the floor. In regards to depth, the use of lines in the floorboards creates depth, drawing your eye to and from the back of the room. Color values are strong in this painting. It goes back to what I said about color, but I believe the soft hue of the blue walls against the strong hue of the bed frame and floor provides enough contrast to pull you into the painting. I also like the strong hue of the table. It connects the visual of looking at the chairs and the bed. When you look at the table, your eye cannot help but look at the other furniture. When I look at the texture of the painting, I do get a true sense of a wood floor, a wooden bed frame and a piece of fabric hanging from a nail. I think he might have used different techniques for creating various textures in the room. I think the floorboards are of multiple layers of paint, as to create the tones of the wood. He was born in Eisleben Germany where his father, Hans, was a smelter master. Hans s occupation allowed Martin to obtain an education, which very few were able to achieve during this time in history. In school Luther was able to learn Latin while continuing his education. While in school, a teacher noticed his talents and introduced Luther to Latin classics and history. Coleridge shows how the thinking of the mindmirrors nature and how repeating patterns reveal universal aspects of poetry, thoughts, and nature. Coleridge makes use of the repetitive patterns in nature and uses them to capture the mind s movement. The structure of the poem uses frost as a guide. Similar to how frost propagates itself, the poem contains organic, repeating fractal patterns with small variations within them. These patterns exist throughout nature in honeycombs, mountains, clouds, and leaves. Furthermore, the speaker of the poem, Coleridge, and his infant son, Hartley reflect the idea of repetition. Repetition exists as Hartley is a replica of Coleridge as children can be seen as versions of their parents. However, Coleridge also points out how he and his son are different as well. Coleridge wants his son to be intimately familiar with nature, writing With tender gladness, thus to look at thee, / And think that thou shalt learn far other lore / And in far other scenes! The dream like quality present in the Surreal movement found its way into Poetic Realism through bizarre and incongruitous scenes and sequences. Just like with other aspects of life, there are pros and cons to this transition. First off, with technology becoming more of a necessity in today s world, more people and businesses rely on this for their daily lives and operations. For example, according to (Schiffer, 2017), a casino used an internet connected fishtankto help keep track of the tank s temperature, cleanliness, and food. The article goes on to tell how the casino s information was hacked by hackers accessing to the fish tank. Personally, I was amazed by how the hackers could hack an entire casino, through one fish tank. On the other hand, a technology based world can also make life easier. For example, Amazon has now begun to use robots in their warehouses to sort and pick items. Although this may threaten some employee s jobs, these machines are easier to operate and can be monitored more closely than an employee. The fish tank in the casino and the robots that Amazon use are classified as the Internet of Things. Having an E O insurance policy may sometimes be a selling point for potential clients. • 45. Max Weber, The Study Of Human Society One of the world s most difficult, but also most important, endeavors is to analyze and interpret humans and their behaviors. How can we understand the complexities of humanity when there are infinite factors involved in the mind of each person? Sociology, the study of human society, aims to accomplish this task. Many intellectuals throughout the years have been essential to the formation of sociology, including Auguste Comte, Harriet Martineau, Karl Marx, and Г‰mile Durkheim. However, the work of Max Weber, one of the founders of sociology, aligns best with my personal beliefs. Weber was born in Erfurt, Germany in 1864 and was raised during a time when Germany was rapidly changing in response to the industrial revolution. He observed the rise of a new economic system called capitalism, prompting his later theory analyzing its foundations. Weber served in the military, studied law, worked as a professor, and published his ideas. His work laid the foundations of interpretive sociology. Weber took an interesting approach to sociology by focusing on the characteristics and thought processes of the individual rather than large amounts of quantitative data. His sociological approach is based on the belief that each individual s actions are shaped by their surroundings, rather than a set of universal laws that govern all of humanity. Weber s convincing argument about the foundations of capitalism and his individualistic approach to sociology align with my sociological beliefs.

Also we will talk about how in some states mandatory guidelines actually can lower the total prisonpopulation. But how in states that are not resource drive, incapacitationis on the rise. Finally i will convey my thoughts on sentencing. How it is a flawed and ,mostly broken system. Sentencing types: The text describes the five main types of sentencing. The first of which is intermediate sentencing. This type of sentencing is considered to be more in tune with rehabilitation than other sentencing. This is because the sentence a person serves is not simply based on how many years a person serves. The book gives a great example to help clarify, the person shall not be imprisoned for less than 2 or 3 years to 10 years (Stohr 73). What this means is that the person does not necessarily have to serve the maximum of ten years. With good behavior, and by showing that they have changed they may be released in as little as 2 years. Next there determinate sentencing. This essentially serve as the opposite of indeterminate. Meaning that the prisoner must serve a fixed number of years before release. In the
