Ethnic and Class Conflicts in Turkestan Essay
Despite the fact that the Russian mobilization of human and material sources during World War I
impressed for its self discipline, there was a considerable crisis in manipulating the civil industry.
Russia concentrated its main workforce on the military munitions, therefore, the railway system
paralysed, which meant a fail in militarytransportation. Administration needed to do something to
compensate the labour shortage. The problem was solved, though not decisively; by the issuing of
decree to conscribe a local tuzemcy for defence works. The local population of Central Asiastarted
to rebel soon after the issuing of decree. There was an uncertainty in whether the decree was issued
correctly or not; Russian officials were already... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This essay will attempt to emphasize the possible reasons of the rebellion and the motives of the
rebels of 1916 revolt in different areas, mainly in Turkestan and Semirechie oblast, providing deep
analysis of the primary and secondary sources.
At the beginning of the rebel of 1916 was considered as a minor one by Russian authorities. In
reality, it led to prolonged consequences. Question on whether the suppression of a revolt was
prepared or not is a source for debate amongst historians. While some of them seem to have
reasonable arguments on the preparedness of the Tsarist administration, others try to persuade the
contrary. The Ryskulov`s work Vosstanie Kirgizov i Kazakhov v 1916 godu. Sbornik Materialov
can be taken as an example that have quite reasonable arguments on that the suppression was
already planned. Ryskulov interprets a detailed analysis of business correspondence between the
General Governors of Turkestan and Semirechie Oblast` Folbaum and Kuropatkin, who were
corresponding on the plan of suppression. He claims that Kuropatkin has already prepared a plan
for the suppression before the rebel had started and accuses Folbaum of making an account to
military forces and of arranging military force in places where Kazakh Kyzgyzs might escape.
Ryskulov argues that arming the local Russian settlers with weapon (rifle) was a demonstration of
extermination of

Globalization And Globalization
With the changes in the global economy, pegged with the advancement of technology, companies in
the United States must reconsider their strategies to compete with international counterparts. It was
only 50 years ago, a company in anywhere town, America could carve out space in a market for
themselves and do well without a competitor in sight. Things have changed now and not is the
threat of a Wal Mart moving into your neighborhood a fear of the small to medium sized company,
international companies have also set their eyes on the United States. With as the leading consumer
market with a 28% of the world s consumer market, nearly four times larger than distant second
China, there is no wonder why any other country would want to penetrate the most lucrative market
on the planet. This is owed to the growth of globalization and the expansion of technology into
instruments beyond research, entertainment, and communication, and into the world of digital and
cryptographic currency. What the global economy is beginning to realize is: there are still
untapped markets where profits could be astronomical. Many developing countries are beginning
to adopt practices and methods of developed countries on a smaller scale, with the help of
technology. As the prevalence of new markets and a new form of currency grows, there is no doubt
larger companies will be able to seize the opportunity to make in these markets. One should consider
the following fragments and their stems that support

Renewable Energy On The Uav
What the renewable energy is?
Renewable energy is energy or power that is created from natural resources such as wind power,
oceanic waves, and the sun. These resources can be used to replace other energy generators such as
electricity and gasoline.
The aim:
On this project aiming is to use renewable energy on the UAV , therefore, it will be able to fly for
longer distance without needs of landing for recharging or filled with fuel.
In addition to that, solar panels are the reasonable solution for that which we can categorize these
panels into:
Polycrystalline
Monocrystalline
Hybrid
All Black
These types of panels have different standard and verity of reducing energy, also they are hard
panels and heavy which could produce a great amount of energy and mostly are used for house
usages .However, Ececom Flexible panels give us this option to have a very lighter weight and
great energy to be used on the UAV. Table 1 shows the details of these panels:

Loyalty In George Graham Vest s Tribute To The Dog
Some dogs are known for their mischief, but they can be trained to be obedient and loyal. The
speech Tribute to the Dog by George Graham Vest showed how loyalty is embedded in dogs.
George Graham Vest was a lawyer trying to win the jury s side in his dog s case. Dogs will be loyal
whether one is in poverty, when sick, and when alone. Homeless or not dogs will be by its master s
side. In this world, people judge others by their status and what they have aquried in life. As soon
as you lose all of your money, your friends and family will leave, but not dogs. On lines 15 16 on

The Anaconda Plan
In 1861, the United States was no longer united and its people were at war, in what is commonly
known as the American Civil War. This left President Abraham Lincoln in a tight spot on how to go
about dealing with the Southern states that had seceded, the Confederacy, who were now at war
with the Northern states, the Union. Lincoln met with his generals to devise a strategy by which
the Confederate states could be brought back into the Union. General Winfield Scott, commanding
general of the Union army, proposed one plan of battle that he had earlier proposed to Major
General George B. McClellan. His plan came to be known as the Anaconda plan. This plan,
although it was never technically adopted, ended up being extremely successful and... Show more

This was to prevent them from exporting cotton, tobacco, and other cash crops and to keep them
from importing much needed war supplies. Since cotton was the South s staple product and what
they relied on for economic success, if the trade of this were to be shut down then they would run
out of funds and lose all financial power. The Confederate government was able to purchase a
pound of cotton for as low as 8Вў, and sell it to Europe for as much as 54Вў.This sale was often
above 300% profit while considering the costs of transport.[4] Therefore, if they were to lose
this major source of income, they would begin to crumble and lose any financial power they
could possibly have over the Union. This plan was never adopted mainly due to Winfield Scott s
lack of planning. His proposal for the blockade was not properly a strategy, despite the fact that
it is often referred to by historians as one. It did not estimate the forces that would be needed to
guard the 3000 or more miles of coastline in the seceded states.[5] Nor did it consider an
allocation of resources, set out a time line, or even name points of particular concern. Due to this
lack of planning, Lincoln was extremely skeptical of the plan s possible success. It was because his
doubt of the plan s success that he chose to battle with the Confederacy in ground campaigns, rather
than waiting for a slow strangulation of the Confederacy to occur. In the

Physicality and Emotional Attachment in Shakespeare s...
Physicality and Emotional Attachment in Shakespeare s Sonnet 46
In Sonnet 46 of his works about the blond young man, William Shakespeare presents a unique
view on the classic debate about physical lust versus emotional love. The poet struggles to decide
if his feelings are based upon superficial desire and infatuation, represented by the eye (1), or true
love independent of the physical world, symbolized by the heart (1). With a deft movement from
violent imagery in the first two lines to the civilized language of law, Shakespeare dismisses the
commonly accepted view of a battle between the eye and the heart. The diction of warfare denotes
two very separate alien sides clashing in destructive confrontation. ... Show more content on

He even chooses to modify war (1) with the word mortal (1), signifying a conflict to the death
with no possibility for reconciliation or pacification. But in the next line he contradicts himself.
Though the poet continues to utilize martial imagery such as conquest (2), his choice of verbs
subtly changes the meaning. [D]ivide (2) suggests that both parties in the conflict will receive
some portion of the prize, an unlikely occurrence if the eye and heart are truly in mortal war (1).
Shakespeare underscores this change in direction by substituting a trochee for the standard iamb as
the initial foot of the line. Already, the poet is shifting focus away from the idea of warfare and
onto the image of a courtroom.
The second quatrain completes that movement and establishes equality between the two sides.
Words of violence are conspicuously absent from this point on in the poem, replaced by legal
vocabulary, such as plead (5), deny (7), and lies (8). No longer bitter enemies, the eye and the heart
become the plaintiff and the defendant (7) in a civil dispute over the possession of Shakespeare s
love. The diction in this section of the poem also serves to contradict the traditional negative
connotations of infatuation. Physical attraction is often portrayed as course or unclean, but
Shakespeare disagrees. He describes eyes, the tangible representation

Body for Sale
A woman in her twenties is in a luxurious suite surrounded by and is providing the service of sexual
gratification. Now, Imagine a girl about ten tied to a bed in a brothel and forced to service fifteen to
thirty men in one night. A large nonprofit scientific and educational institution, National
Geographic, presents the documentary, Taboo: Prostitution. The documentary takes you around the
world exploring behaviors and lifestyles that are acceptable in some cultures but forbidden, illegal
or reviled in others. The documentary, Taboo: Prostitution, displays different places around the
world, and demonstrates the different types of prostitution. It also presents some of the hardships
that women are left to face, once they are known as prostitutes. The argument about prostitution
being a choice is not black and white, to understand why prostitution is a lifestyle we must
understand what prostitution is, what people say about prostitution, and we must draw our
conclusions from an objective standpoint. Prostitution has been a profession for years all around
the world and it can take many forms and faces. Many people argue that prostitution is a choice,
and that these women prefer this type of lifestyle. On the other hand, poverty drives girls into the
sex trade. Once a woman joins the sex industry her dignity is irredeemable as a result to them
being objectified by society. When the word prostitute comes to mind we think of a fallen woman,
but that is not the case

Pro Life
Be the change you wish to see in the world is a great quote to live by because it guides you to
help others and make an impact. I use this quote to guide my life personally because I want to be
able to use what I believe in, and my goals to make a change. Abortion is a very common debate
in the world, and it has been this way for hundreds of years. There are two main arguments when it
comes to abortion, most people are either Pro Life or Pro Choice. People that are pro life are
against abortions and believe that every human life has equal worth and should have the
opportunity to live. While people who are pro choice believe that women should have the choice to
decide if they wanted to keep the child that they had growing inside of them or if she wants to
terminate the pregnancy. I am pro life because I believe that abortions are used as a way out of
something that people are in no hurry to try and prevent. I think that as a society we focus on sex
as a thing that everyone does and that makes young adults think that they need to be joining what
everyone is doing. This ends up creating a child that neither the mother nor the father are capable
of taking care of, and the mother feels her only way out of the situation is to terminate the
pregnancy in the form of an abortion. I want my impact on the world to be less of a... Show more

What Is Dimmesdale A Hypocrisy Of Sin
Life oftentimes presents multiple individuals with a shared obstacle, but the method which each
person uses in order to overcome is pivotal in determining each person s fate. In Boston,
Massachusetts during the 17th century, a cluster of men and women move away from the Old
world and quickly become known as the Puritansociety. The Puritan people leave in order to gain
freedoms yet formulate a hypercritical society based on strict conformity and theocracy. The
common members of the group appear bleek and monotonous as they dress and act the same as one
another. The society desires a perfect utopia, severely punishing and treating those who commit sin
as criminals. The society ultimately becomes one of ignorance, hypocrisy, and isolation... Show

Both characters are put down by their own struggles but naturally learn very different lessons.
Dimmesdale slowly but surely begins to understand how severe the damages of his guilt, hiding,
and hypocrisy are to his soul. He goes through intense episodes of self harm and abuse as he lives
with Chillingworth, the evil physician who acts as a catalyst to strengthening the grief and guilt
that shadows poor Dimmesdale. After seven long years of hiding his sin and relationship with
Hester from the public, Dimmesdale realizes how absurd his decision to conceal his struggle is.
While conversing with Hester in the shadowy forest, free from Puritan judgement, Dimmesdale
exclaims, Else, I should long ago have thrown off these garments of mock holiness, and have
shown myself to mankind as they will see me at the judgment seat. Happy are you, Hester, that
wear the scarlet letter openly upon your bosom! Mine burns in secret! (Hawthorne 167).
Dimmesdale is finally brought to his senses when he reveals his admiration for Hester s bravery
in being accountable for the sin. He realizes that if he could have adopted his sin upon the scaffold
as hester does seven years prior, he would be much better off. While Dimmesdale sees Hester
embracing her sin, he feels that she has put herself through much

Social And Psychological Factors Influence Economic...
Behavioural economics, as it is possible to understand from the definition of the field itself, studies
how social and psychological factors influence economic decisions. The main difference with the
classical economic approach is that, while economists use a normative approach in describing
extit{how decisions should be made} to optimise a reward function, by assuming that subjects are
rational decision makers citep{von2007theory}, behavioural economics describes extit{how
decisions are actually made} by using experiments that emulate real life decision problems
citep{kahneman2000choices, todd2003bounding}. This field of research has lead to the
development of heuristics that subjects use in different choice context
citep{holyoak2005cambridge}. However, these explanations only postulate disparate heuristics
for different choice settings and cannot describe the time course of a decision. In an attempt to
overcome such limitations, recently, sequential sampling models of choice widely studied in the
perceptual decision making field, have been used to explain the time course of preference
formation in value based choice in which the subject is no more integrating evidence over time,
but value instead, as for example in making a decision between different sources of food. An
example of a value based decision making choice is: shall I have an apple or a pear? From a
phenomenological approach this might seem a trivial question, however investigating how such a
decision is

History And History Of Fuel Cells
History of fuel cells according to Vladimir S. Bagotsky (2012)
Luigi Galvani (1737 1798)
In 1791, the Italian physiologist Luigi Galvani discovered that the muscle contractions, similar to
the discharged of a Leyden charge, will occur when two metals touch the nerve of a frog.
Alexandro Volta (1745 1827)
In 1800, Alexandro Volta designed a device called Volta pile that originated from the phenomenon
discovered by Galvani. The Volta pile is the prototype of electrochemical power sources such as
battery and was of significance of development is the science of both electricity and
electrochemistry.
Sir William Robert Grove (1811 1896)
In 1830s, A British chemist Sir William Robert Grove conducted a series of experiment on water
electrolysis. His device consisted of two platinum electrodes dipping into water acidified with
sulfuric acid. Grove assumed that by channeling current, water can be decomposed to hydrogen
and oxygen and the possibility of opposite reaction. But after disconnecting the current, the
electrodes at which the hydrogen and oxygen had been evolve as gasses were polarized. A certain
potential difference was preserve between the electrodes. Sir Grove named his invention as gas
voltaic battery. His invention becomes the first prototype of fuel cells.

Hormonal Therapy For Menopausal Women
In recent years the field of medicine has begun to use hormonal therapy as a form of treatment for
cancer patients. Through hormonal therapy the growth of a specific tumor is interfered, as the
tumor s growth is sensitive to the amount of hormones present (1). Since hormonal therapy appears
to be a great treatment for cancer, it can also be used as a treatment for menopausal women. Around
2.2 million women in the United States reach menopauseeach year (2). Menopause is a natural event
experience by women; it is the final menstrual period due to the loss of ovarian follicular function
and usually occurs around the age of 51 (2). In menopausal women hormonal replacement therapy
is not used to continue the function of the ovarian follicle, on the other hand, the therapy is used to
manage the symptoms commonly encountered by women. In the early transitional stages of
menopause, women begin to experience a variety of physical and psychological changes (3). Some
of the physical changes are unnoticeable to the menopausal women, while others are due to the
symptoms. The symptoms commonly experienced by women during menopause include: hot
flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, depression, irritability, headaches, and sleep disturbance,
each symptom varies among women (3). Certain symptoms such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness
have been associated to occur due to the loss of estrogen(4). In order to alleviate the patient s

Objectives Of Playing Millionaire
Based on this case study, as stated earlier on, the objective of playing millionaire is to own as

and collecting rent from their opponents, with the goal to drive them into bankruptcy. Therefore,
there are three parameters that we have considered while collecting some data regarding this game
which are dicerolls, the propertyand going in and out of jail. These three parameters are all

There are three possible ways for the players to end up in jail which are : by landing on the Go to
Jail space, by drawing a Go to Jail Chance card or either by rolling three doubles continuously. If
a player is in jail, they do not take their normal turn and must either pay a fine of RM50 to be
released from jail, use a Chance or Fate Get Out of Jail Free card , or they can try to roll doubles
on the dice. If the player fails to roll doubles they lose their turn. Failure to roll doubles in their
third turn will result in paying the RM50 fine to be released. Moreover, when the player is in
jail, they may not buy any property directly because they are currently not moving around and
does not land on any properties on the board. Nevertheless, they may sell, trade and mortgage
properties, purchase buildings, and collect rents while they are in jail. If the player does roll
doubles to exit jail, they may immediately move according to the roll, but they cannot roll a
second time after exiting jail. Therefore, there are changes in probability to land upon the ideal
property if the players end up in

Lion King and Hamlet
Similarities and Differences Between The Lion King and Hamlet
As innocent and young the Disney movie The Lion King may seem, it is, indeed, loosely based off
of the renowned Shakespeare play Hamlet . It would seem strange to the typical audiences of each,
but when looked at closer, it is seen that they are actually related underneath the youthful, animated
surface of The Lion King.
One of the main aspects that connects The Lion King and Hamlet is the characters. Simba and
Hamlet are both princes of their kingdoms. Hamlet, a man, and Simba, a lion cub, are in the same
situation which is coping with and avenging their fathers deaths. Hamlet goes crazy and creates a
whole plan of revenge but Simba simply runs from the problem altogether ... Show more content on

An enormous range of people was reached between these two works of literature.
The fact that animals were used in The Lion King is almost ironic. This is true because not only
were the characters in The Lion King more civil, but the people in Hamlet acted more like
animals territorial, aggressive, immature, and thoughtless. The irony in The Lion King continues
with a line from Pumbaa, All this time I thought that all of the sparkly dots in the sky were big
balls of burning gas billions of miles away. Rafiki, the baboon that acts almost as Simba s
conscience, calls Simba a baboon because he won t go back to his pride.
Another similarity between the two is the sighting of the father s ghost. Simba sees it and it
serves as his revelation moment before he returns to his pride. For Hamlet, his father s ghost is
his cue to avenge Hamlet Sr. s death. The word wind is used several times throughout Hamlet and
it is also used in one of Simba s lines before he sees Mufassa s ghost.
The end of Hamlet is completely different from that of The Lion King. As most Disney movies
go, there is a happy ending and all is well after justice is served. Shakespeare takes a different
position. At the end of Hamlet, almost everyone dies. The only survivor is Marcellus, the
extremely faithful and supportive best friend of Hamlet through the entire play. However, at the
end of The Lion King, Zazu who was held captive by Scar and the hyenas is set free. Scar is the

Men at Arms is the first installment of a book trilogy written by English author, Evelyn Waugh.
The novel follows the main character, Guy Crouchback, who just returned to England after living

Guy looking for a sense of himself began enlisting himself in the Army. Many of the army s he
enlisted turned him down, but he ultimately got accepted into the Royal Corps of Halberdiers, with
the help of his father s connection.

However, he does say that Guy never felt any guilt for being responsible for his death. Especially
when Ritchie Hook tells him What s all this I hear about you poisoning one of my officers? In
here, Guy did not respond to it, when it came time to board the boat, he just sat far back, away
from everybody s reach. However, you do get a sense that he recognizes that his actions damaged
his reputation.

Ann Taylor s target market primarily comprises of ages between 30 years and 60 years to whom,
the company offers a plethora of work related apparel and accessories. LOFT s target market
comprises of 18 to 34 year olds who have a wide variety of casual work related (can be used for
other purposes) apparel and accessories. Although the two divisions cater to different target
markets, their primary purpose is to provide to the working customer. Ann Taylor s expansion into
value based divisions (LOFT and its clearance centers) has captured the value market. The pricing
at LOFT is about 30% lower than its sister concept, Ann Taylor. The outlets too, have captured the
market that comprises of consumers seeking deeper value over traditional pricing and stores. The
corporation added more value to these clearance centers, by creating private labels for the outlet

the company would be its marketing strategies through celebrity associations. Some of the biggest
celebrities like Heidi Klum, Milla Jovovich, Rachel Bilson are the faces of the company. The brand
equity of the company, i.e. the image of the company in the minds of the consumers is enhanced

ABSTRACT
Edith Wharton was a Pulitzer Prize winning female author whose writing style was mainly affected
by her aristocratic upbringing. Growing up Edith Wharton was friends with former President
Theodore Roosevelt. The two were often compared and both were said to have been self made men
. Edith Wharton s novels were often critically acclaimed until Ethan Frome was published. The
novel was said to be cruel and violent by critics and casual readers. In my opinion, Edith
Wharton s Ethan Frome is a great book that reveals the harsh realities of failed relationships
hanging on by a thread combined with the struggle of being poverty stricken. For my original
piece, I will write a poem about Edith Wharton s failed marriage that lasted 28 years, as if I were
Edith Wharton after her divorce from Edward Wharton. I chose to do a report on Edith Wharton
because she was a female writer that believed women were just as capable as men during a time
when men were seen as superior in every aspect to women, and also because she achieved much
more than most male writers of her time. I believe Edith Wharton s aristocratic upbringing had the
main effect on her writing style.

Prostitution In The Philippines
Prostitution is one of the oldest professions that have widely been practiced around the world,
and the Philippines is no exception to this. With the advent of Spanish colonists in the late
1500s, Filipina slaves were sold as exotic sex objects or prostitutes to European brothels. During
the early 1940s, many Filipinas in Manila and surrounding towns served as comfort girls to
provide sexual favors to Japanese soldiers of the Japanese Imperial Army serving in the country
and in the Pacific region. Today, with the emergence of information technology and global travel,
the age old profession has begun to operate on a technological scale, and sex workers, mostly
young girls, have moved not only to the big cities but also online. To be specific, a new form of
prostitutionamong Filipina schoolgirls, called Prosti tuition, has surfaced recently in the country.
Prosti tuition, as the name suggests, is a term used among student sex workers to refer to the use
of prostitution as a means of earning money to send themselves to school. Sometimes called
survival sex, it is sex work that pays for these students tuition fees, school supplies, allowance,
cellphone load, and the like. Typically, the peak season for this tuition payment scheme is during
enrollment period or right before final/periodic exams (Santos, 2014).
Compared to traditional prostitution, what is interesting about prosti tuition is that the personal
services providers (PSPs) or walkers mostly rely on smartphones

Innovation Design and Planning Innovation is the process of using ideas within a company to
create new products, services, technology, or processes. Myths used to acknowledge that innovation
was the idea of one individual with no support from others. In reality, innovative ideas that become
new products and services require the support and knowledge of a significant amount of individuals.

* Rate of technological change: It is important for a company to identify the effects of change on
the company s current products and services. It is vital for the company to change the technology
used to keep up or stay ahead of the pack on a continual bases. According to Davila, Epstein, and
Shelton (2006), Internal factors are not the only formative forces; external forces can also shape the
innovation strategy (p. 77). Making aware of the internal and external factors can help to update
and improve the innovation strategies the company uses. If the factors are made aware and
followed, the factors will work hand in hand to support the company through the design and
planning process of the innovation strategies. Equally important to the innovation process are the
factors related to the innovation systems design. Factors that are analyzed include the creative
phase, execution phase, and creation stage. In the creative stage, ideas come together for everyone
to discuss. Next the innovation systems design will lead to the execution stage. During this stage,
management will discuss and decide which idea will be the best to benefit and support the mission
and principles of the company. Once a decision has been accomplished, the company moves to the
creation stage. At this point, every detail will become compiled into the functions of daily business.

By most objective metrics, Brazil is the least imposing of the BRICs countries less populous than
China and India, slower growing in recent years than China, India, or Russia, and the only member
of the group lacking nuclear weapons. We argue that Brazil s material capabilities are more

African Influence On Hip Hop

Music of Africa
African Influence in Hip Hop In the 1970s the shockwave that would be known as hip hop rose
from the economic situation of New York City, especially the black and Latino neighborhoods.
However, while hip hop music was born in the Bronx, it both is part of and speaks to a long line
of black American and African cultural traditions. Many observers also make a connection between
rap and West African griot tradition, the art of wandering storytellers known for their knowledge of
local settings and superior vocal skills. Additionally, rhymed verses are an important part of African
American culture in both the public and private realms. A great influence of rap and hip hop which

This African term is defined as rapping or fast pace speaking. This can involve rhyming patterns
or jokingly clowning or making fun of one another. This is where America gets the term
Roasting from and many know it as verbal battle between individuals mostly for entertainment
and fun. For its musical grooves, early hip hop incorporated elements of the party based sound
system subculture popular at the time in Jamaica. DJ Kool Herc also brought a form of the
verbal art of toasting to his parties. Jamaican DJs excited crowds by making up short raps to the
beat of music, adding vibes to the party. The toasts often referred to people in the crowd or to
events at the party itself. Dodd took rapping to Jamaica and Herc brought toasting back to the
United States, where it quickly became known as rap, the verbal side of hip hop music.
Afrika Bam Bambaataa fused the R B music of James Brown, the funk of George Clinton, and
even the sometimes synthetic and cold European electronic music of groups like Kraftwerk to
create songs like Planet Rock and Looking for the Perfect Beat, and helped deepen the musical

Being intrigued by the subject, I used the very concept to design a system as part of this project
that acts a platform to receive messages which in fact are commands sent to control different
appliances and devices connected to the platform. As my project, I designed a control system
based on the GSM technology that effectively allowed control from a remote area to the desired
location. The application of the suggested system is immense in the ever changing technological
world as it allows a greater degree of freedom to an individual while controlling the household
appliances or office equipment and eliminates the need of actual presence of individual. 1.4 This
desired system had to be a powerful and flexible tool offering the service at any time, and from
anywhere with the constraints of the technologies being applied. The possible target appliances that
can be attached to the system includes climate control system, security systems, lights and any
other thing with an electrical interface. The proposed approach for designing this system was to
implement a microcontroller based control module that received its instructions and command from
a cellular phone over the GSM network. The microcontroller then would carry out the issued
commands and communicate the status of a given appliance or device back to the cellular phone.

This has led to increased demand for industrial goods and expansion of industry. The commercial
banks help the large agricultural sector in developing countries in a number of ways. They provide
loans to traders in agricultural commodities. They open a network of branches in rural areas to
provide agricultural credit. They provide finance directly to agriculturists for the marketing of their
produce, for the modernisation and mechanisation of their farms, for providing irrigation facilities,
for developing land, etc.
They also provide financial assistance for animal husbandry, dairy farming, sheep breeding, poultry
farming, pisci culture and horticulture. The small and marginal farmers and landless agricultural
workers, artisans and petty shopkeepers in rural areas are provided financial assistance through the
regional rural banks in India. These regional rural banks operate under a commercial bank. Thus the
commercial banks meet the credit requirements of all types of rural people.

The Change Management Model And Management Strategies
As organization evolve, changes are inevitable. At CSAA insurance group, change is necessary to
support selling, marketing and management strategies (Hallenbeck, 2015). The leadership team at
CSAA has identified an opportunity to refine how sales production is tracked by their sales agents.
Implementing new processes to support fiscal responsibility is important as it will serve as a
foundation for successful goal achievement for the organization (Hallenbeck, 2015). This document
will provide details of the change needed to track salesproduction, outline the change management
model and discuss plans if resistance is given by team members.
Sales tracking change details:
Sales agents and their leadership team use several different platforms to manually enter production
details. This manual entry is the cause of the variance as it allows for human error. The current
tracking process of sales production is consistently inaccurate by approximately 30%. Final sales
production results are released approximately 15 days after the closing of the given month. This
variance causes a negative impact to real time reporting that is crucial in running a successful sales
team.
In order to remedy the sales tracking issue, the national sales executive of CSAA has agreed to
incorporate an existing enterprise platform within the sales division that manages customer
interactions. Implementation of the new platform will allow sales agents and leadership to
accurately track sales

benefit from the tuition increase being put back into it. With this extra money the economy could

recovery is very important for America, how can tuition increase help to rebuild a country that

Similarly, International Life can show that Maloney was working in the capacity of a salesperson

Libya, it makes up a lot of the country s GDP. The civil war that had just happened disrupted

Diversity of Mangroves
Introduction
Mangroves have different economic benefits. Nowadays, destruction of mangrove forest is very
alarming. During the year 1918, mangroves forest is about 500, 000 hectares wide. In the
Philippines, from the estimated 448, 000 hectares in 1920 s have been declined to 110, 000
hectares in the year 1990 and it reached 130, 000 hectares by the year 2000, as stated by Lunar and
Laguardia (2012). Human anthropogenic activities such as conversion of mangroves into fishpond,
shrimp farm, salt ponds, renovation and other forms of developing industries reduces the mangrove
areas. The continuous reduction of mangrove forest have been used as different kind of materials
like charcoal or for fire wood production, house materials and converting these mangrove forest
into fish ponds establishment and in addition the expansion of coastal communities (Becira, 2006).
According to Upadhyay et al., (2002), mangrove ecosystems have many ecological importances for
maintaining marine life. Mangrove ecosystems are being studied with more interest worldwide
because of their economic importance in support of commercial fisheries alone (Cintron et al.
1980). Uses and values of mangroves are many and varied. For example, they provide habitat as
well as spawning and nursery ground for various marine species like fish, shellfish, crustaceans and
other marine organisms, enrich the near shore environment, act as windbreakers and protects the

Remember the Titans is a film based on the true story of Coach Herman Boone, who takes on the
task of integrating a racially divided football team in order to achieve victory. In 1970, the Supreme
Court ruling in Swann v Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education permits busing students to
achieve racial integration in public schools. In 1971, T. C. Williams High Schoolhires successful,
black coach, Herman Boone as head coach to lead the school s newly integrated football team,
depriving Bill Yoast, former head coach and nominee for the Virginia High School Hall of Fame,
of the head coach position. Yoast debates pursuing opportunities elsewhere, but when most of his
white players vow to sit out the season unless he coaches, he changes his mind and stays on as
Boone s assistant and defensive coordinator. Throughout training camp and the season, Boone
and Yoast s black and white players learn to accept each other, to work together, and that football
knows no race. As they learn from each other, Boone and Yoast also learn from them and in turn,
the whole town learns from the team, the Titans. During their practices, black and white football
team members often clash in racial conflicts. The biggest fights occur between the white captain,
whom also acts as the unofficial leader for the white football players, Gerry Bertier, and black

Programme Music
During the Romanic period, there were many advances in regards to instrumentation, and the size
of a typical orchestra increased in size and range, adding in more instruments to the wind, brass and
percussion sections. Symphonie Fantastique, by Hector Berlioz, was no exception, and was written
for an extensive orchestra of 220 players, including, piccolos, flutes, oboes, horns, clarinets,
bassoons, cornets, trumpets, trombones, tuba (or ophicleides), timpani, bells, a wide variety of
percussion, bells, violins, violas, cellos and double basses. Through this symphony, various
instruments have programmatic purposes to develop the scene, such as the pizzicato strings in the
4th movement, representing the head bouncing after he was decapitated, and the clarinet in E flat
and bassoons in the 5th movement, depicting bubbles rising in a cauldron.
Both movements 4 and 5 were through composed, featuring various musical fragments and themes.

The post 9/11 world has bought about huge changes throughout the Middle East and many countries
are experiencing challenges unprecedented since the end of the Second World War. United States
foreign policy, the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, and the geopolitical struggle between Iran and
Saudi Arabia throughout the Middle Easthas made the region politically unstable and ripe with
conflict and human suffering. This dire situation is a great example of how interconnected the
relationships of Middle Eastern countries are and how these relations often disseminate out and
affect the region as a whole. As such, an analysis of the bilateral relations between two Middle
Eastern countries allows us to partly understand how, when given historical context, this situation
came to be and what factors influence these relationships.
The bilateral relationship between Syria and Lebanon provides a great and unique analysis of the
factors that influence relationships between Middle Eastern states because of their shared but
complicated history. Both these countries used to be one in the same up until the early twentieth
century and their relations have gone through various evolutionary stages that have had a greater
political impact on the region altogether. In this paper I will examine the relationship between Syria
and Lebanon and seek to explain the key factors that influence this relationship.
The current relationship between Syria and Lebanon has largely been defined by the civil war

Baton Rouge Road
The roads in the Greater Baton Rouge area are almost always in a state of disrepair.
Unfortunately the state does not have the funds to repair the road so it s up to Baton Rouge
drivers to make do with what they have. With the roads in such horrible conditions drivers must,
use the freeway whenever possible, plan out their routes, and drive carefully in order to avoid
traffic accidents. With roads in Baton Rouge is a terrible state, the freeways and interstate
highways that have been provided are one of the best ways to get around. The freeways are in a
better state than roads are and can get a driver almost anywhere in the city. It would be less
likely for an accident to happen due to road conditions because the freeways are under better
maintenance than most other city roads. This along with the highways that travel all around
Baton Rouge can get one to his or her desired destinations. However, with so many drivers on the
freeway there will be an increase in traffic so it would be wise for drivers to plan his or her route to
make it to his or her destination on time. In order to avoid bad roads as much as possible, drivers
must plan his or her route and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With roads in such substandard conditions and with no signs of repairs coming in the near future,
Baton Rouge drivers have to be careful on the roads. One cannot always take the freeway to get
to places and there might be heavy traffic if everyone tries to use it. Along with the fact that
sometime a route cannot be planned around a terrible road as it is the only way to the destination.
With these factors in mind, one must be prepared to drive for the safety of oneself and others.
Whenever coming to a pothole or any other danger that may come with an inadequate road, it is
important to drive slowly and cautiously. This is most important due to the fact that driving
carefully on even the safest of roads in order to avoid a vehicular

Abusive Relationships In Death And The Maiden
An Analysis on the Role of Abusive Relationships in Death and the Maiden Throughout the play
Death and the Maiden, Dorfman uses Paulina and Gerardo s abusive relationship to display how
gender roles affect characters interactions. Dorfman depicts Gerardo as controlling and
authoritative in contrast to Paulina. Paulina was presumably subservient and malleable before the
introduction of Roberto. After the introduction of Roberto, a shift in Paulina s character occurs
altering Gerardo s and Paulina s previous relationship. Paulina takes control, refusing subservience
to Gerardo. She still cares for him, but she no longer allows him to make decisions for her or treat
her with disrespect. She fights back fire with fire and this shift in gender... Show more content on

She s calculating, she had a plan to put Roberto on trial and she executed that plan. She instated
protective measures to prevent his escape, she was strategic in finding enough proof to satisfy
her that he was guilty. This newfound control Paulina has of herself and the people around her
causes a shift in the way interactions are conducted. Trapped as a sort of prisoner, Roberto and
Gerardo must obey Paulina or risk indirectly causing Roberto s death. Another example of the
inequality in Gerardo and Paulina s relationship is when Gerardo accepts a position on the
commission without discussing it with Paulina. He ironically believes decisions can be made
without her input or consent, but contrasty, if she makes any decisions he must play a role in
them, whether it be interrogating Roberto or lending the car jack out to her mother. The effect
of Paulina s new sense of self also results in Gerardo having difficulty communicating with
Paulina because she s in a position of power, for example when Paulina held a gun Gerardo states
while you point it at me, there is no possible dialogue, (24). Gerardo likes to be in a position of
power, where he can play the role of peacemaker, analyzing the situation, and coming up with
solutions. However, Paulina enjoys this new found power and Gerardo struggles with losing his
control over her, Gerardo s statement oh my baby, my baby. You re unrecognizable. How can you
possibly be

CSI: How to identify an unknown white powder
Jiayue Sun
Introduction
The Identity of a chemical compound is extremely critical to observe. The identity can lead to
discovering its properties and can aid in its classification. Thus scientist all around the world put
high emphasis on the procedure to identify a compound through the flame test and chemical testing.
Flame test works to identify the cation within the compound, while chemical testing using certain
compounds and acid identifies the anion.
Flame test uses the differences of energy levels of an element. When the flame, from the micro
burner used, excites the electrons in their ground state, the electrons absorb the energy and move to
a higher energy level. Yet since the ground state is preferred, the electrons tend to move down the
energy level and emit the extra energy absorbed. This type of energy is emitted through photon and
wavelength, a characteristic of light. Thus, each element emits a certain type light which can be
used to identify it by consulting a chart with all the documented flame test results. In Particular for
this experiment, the test for ammonia and Magnesium is conducted with the addition of sodium
hydroxide and the observing for the presence of the odor of ammonia for ammonia or precipitate
for magnesium.
The chemical testing uses compounds including acids and alkaline to combine with the element.

American Revolution Dbq Analysis
One of the biggest events in history is when the colonists decided to declare their independence and
break away from Great Britain. Was it necessary though? Yes, it was necessary for America to
declare independence from England as they had begun to outgrow their relationship for many years.
The three main reasons that contributed to the American Revolutionwere as follows. The first
reason was that the colonists were being taxed unfairly, the second reason was that colonists had
no representation in the English Parliament and the third reason was that the governing mother
country was an ocean away from the colonies. The colonies were first taken over by the British in
the early 1600 s, and by the 1700 s King George governed these Colonies.... Show more content on

the mother country that they felt was way too far way to exert control over them. They wanted to

share news, being that far away. When the colonists had a problem with the ruling of King George
it was hard to tell him because of the distance between them. Not to mention the fact that he knew
that whatever he did the colonists could not do anything about his

Comparing Pride And Prejudice And Our Mutual Friend, By...
During the 19th century, men were the ones who typically proposed to women. However, men
did not solely ask for their hand in marriage, they also had to formulate something to say. In the
books Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens, there are
two men who decide to propose to someone they take liking in. Those men are William Collins
who proposes to Elizabeth Bennett (Pride and Prejudice) and Bradley Headstone who proposes to
Lizzie Hexam. Although both of the men s proposal resulted in rejection, one of the proposals had
better diction than the other. The ideas such as bringing up [their significant other s] reputation or
having true love for [their significant lover] may indicate to the women they are truly sincere.
Due to the time period s typical romances, there were a limited amount of things a woman and
man can do with each other in public. Specifically, the men and women were not allowed to kiss,
go on dates alone, or hold hands. When the woman agrees to a marriageproposal, her and her fiance
were allowed to have a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The proposal featured in Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens has a better effectiveness than
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen due to the tone that is communicated to one another and the
persuasiveness of the speaker, which also creates strengths and weaknesses between the proposals.
Despite the fact that both men were denied of their hand in marriage, they both had strengths in
their proposals. In Charles Dickens story, William Collins professes to Lizzie Hexam, I love you.
What other men mean, I cannot tell; what I mean is that I am under the influence of some
tremendous attraction which I have resisted in vain and which overmasters me. By saying this, he
conveys a stronger confidence than that of William Collins, who spends

The Internal Revenue Code Provided Adjustments
Drafters of the Internal Revenue Code provided adjustments to the basis of partnership property as
a consequence to the sale or exchange of a partnership interest, including transfer of such an interest
on the death of a partner provided the partnership made an election or the partnership has a
substantial built in loss. Absent a basis adjustment, the incoming/transferee partner will be taxed on
the same gain when realized by the partnership if the interest transferred had appreciated. The
selling/transferor partner will recognize gain the sale regardless of consequences to the remaining
partners and partnership. Likewise if the partnership interest depreciated, the transferor partner
would recognize a loss on the sale, and the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
II. Section 743(b) Mechanics Section 743(b) provides for a special adjustment to the basis of
partnership assets to take into account the amount that the buyer actually paid for his interest in
each of those assets. The special basis adjustment is intended to reduce the buyer s outside basis
and inside basis disparity. This adjustment is deemed special because it is unique to the transferee
partner, without affecting the partnership s basis in the assets.
Equality between inside basis and outside basis in Subchapter K is central to its configuration.
Partnerships are intended to provide taxpayers with an entity carrying a single layer of tax. The
inside outside basis equality ensures that result. Absent nonrecognition provisions, when a third
party purchases, or receives by bequest, a partnership interest, the transferee s receives cost basis or
fair market value basis. That cost includes the partnership liabilities attributable to the acquired
interest. Section 743(a) disrupts Subchapter K s goal of basis uniformity by leaving the basis in
partnership assets unaffected by transfer of a partnership interest. The undisturbed basis most likely
leaves the transferee partner with basis different from the seller and from that interest s share of the
partnership s inside basis. As an entity, the purchaser obtains fair market value basis in the
purchased interest, but not in his share of the partnership s assets. Consequently, if the

The Influence Of Gangs In America
As a reader, I found thi¬¬s book very interesting and very easy to relate to. For me, life was
not easy growing up in Atlanta as a black male, as a child I consistently witnessed situations
similar to what Sudhir Venkatesh experienced such as gang beatings and the selling of illegal
substances. Growing up I moved homes and schools a few times and from this experience I
learned that initially you will not be accepted in a certain community, you have to slowly get
accustomed to the norms before you are welcomed in. Surprisingly the streets are a very
judgmental place, just for being different Venkatesh was called a Mexican and nigger when in fact
he was neither. I can recall numerous circumstances growing up when I was unfairly judged and...

At one point in time Venkatesh himself stated that he was a hustler among hustlers, but unlike the
gang he wasn t hustling narcotics or money he was hustling participants. I seemed to me that
Venkatesh was using the gang members for his personal benefit since he received academic
advancements and praise. While studying communities, confidentiality is very important but in
this research Venkatesh breaks this rule because once he discovered that members of the gang had
other sources of income such as babysitting or prostitution. Venkatesh ends up telling JT and Ms.
Baily about his findings. This was a problem because after finding out about this information JT
and Ms. Baily felt like they were owed more money so they taxed people more money. I didn t like
the way Venkatesh considered himself a hustler among hustlers because while conducting research
you should be straight forward to the participates and tell them exactly what you are researching.
Also, I hated how Venkatesh handled the privacy of the residents of Robert Taylor because many
people ended up losing money that they could have used to support their family. I believe that
everything in an interview should stay between the interviewer and the

Why I Don t Have A Home
In life, our goal is to find a place we belong. Some people find their belongingness in their craft.
Some find it in success. One may find it at their home. But for me? I don t have a home. The
year is 750 AD and I live in the capital of The Tang Dynasty(618 907), Chang an; the cultural
center where you can thrive as a person; making me part of Ancient China s Golden Age( Ancient
China For Kids 6). However, I don t feel my sense of belonging here. I m in a place I didn t ask to
be in: being a young orphan girl, trying to make a living on my own. I have no relation with the
top class imperial family, nor am I involved with any sort of aristocracy. Although, maybe if I were
a man, I would be able to study and work my way up to bureaucracy at least. However, that is not
the case; I am not a eunuch nor can I be a religious official! Therefore, I am a very low class; a
peasant orphan( Tang DynastySocial Structure 3). I wonder who could throw me out of this
helpless position. Shall I sell myself to slavery and be the lowest of the low? But then I
remember it is illegal to sell a free person into slavery( History of Slavery in China 3). What
could this mean for me then? If I am forced to be free, what good could it be? One may have
heard that women are more free in the Tang Dynasty just because we have a woman in power,
Empress Wu! Although this may be true, only women in relations with high class or aristocracy
are far more able to move up and get involved in

  • 2. Ethnic and Class Conflicts in Turkestan Essay Despite the fact that the Russian mobilization of human and material sources during World War I impressed for its self discipline, there was a considerable crisis in manipulating the civil industry. Russia concentrated its main workforce on the military munitions, therefore, the railway system paralysed, which meant a fail in militarytransportation. Administration needed to do something to compensate the labour shortage. The problem was solved, though not decisively; by the issuing of decree to conscribe a local tuzemcy for defence works. The local population of Central Asiastarted to rebel soon after the issuing of decree. There was an uncertainty in whether the decree was issued correctly or not; Russian officials were already... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This essay will attempt to emphasize the possible reasons of the rebellion and the motives of the rebels of 1916 revolt in different areas, mainly in Turkestan and Semirechie oblast, providing deep analysis of the primary and secondary sources. At the beginning of the rebel of 1916 was considered as a minor one by Russian authorities. In reality, it led to prolonged consequences. Question on whether the suppression of a revolt was prepared or not is a source for debate amongst historians. While some of them seem to have reasonable arguments on the preparedness of the Tsarist administration, others try to persuade the contrary. The Ryskulov`s work Vosstanie Kirgizov i Kazakhov v 1916 godu. Sbornik Materialov can be taken as an example that have quite reasonable arguments on that the suppression was already planned. Ryskulov interprets a detailed analysis of business correspondence between the General Governors of Turkestan and Semirechie Oblast` Folbaum and Kuropatkin, who were corresponding on the plan of suppression. He claims that Kuropatkin has already prepared a plan for the suppression before the rebel had started and accuses Folbaum of making an account to military forces and of arranging military force in places where Kazakh Kyzgyzs might escape. Ryskulov argues that arming the local Russian settlers with weapon (rifle) was a demonstration of extermination of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Globalization And Globalization With the changes in the global economy, pegged with the advancement of technology, companies in the United States must reconsider their strategies to compete with international counterparts. It was only 50 years ago, a company in anywhere town, America could carve out space in a market for themselves and do well without a competitor in sight. Things have changed now and not is the threat of a Wal Mart moving into your neighborhood a fear of the small to medium sized company, international companies have also set their eyes on the United States. With as the leading consumer market with a 28% of the world s consumer market, nearly four times larger than distant second China, there is no wonder why any other country would want to penetrate the most lucrative market on the planet. This is owed to the growth of globalization and the expansion of technology into instruments beyond research, entertainment, and communication, and into the world of digital and cryptographic currency. What the global economy is beginning to realize is: there are still untapped markets where profits could be astronomical. Many developing countries are beginning to adopt practices and methods of developed countries on a smaller scale, with the help of technology. As the prevalence of new markets and a new form of currency grows, there is no doubt larger companies will be able to seize the opportunity to make in these markets. One should consider the following fragments and their stems that support ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Renewable Energy On The Uav What the renewable energy is? Renewable energy is energy or power that is created from natural resources such as wind power, oceanic waves, and the sun. These resources can be used to replace other energy generators such as electricity and gasoline. The aim: On this project aiming is to use renewable energy on the UAV , therefore, it will be able to fly for longer distance without needs of landing for recharging or filled with fuel. In addition to that, solar panels are the reasonable solution for that which we can categorize these panels into: Polycrystalline Monocrystalline Hybrid All Black These types of panels have different standard and verity of reducing energy, also they are hard panels and heavy which could produce a great amount of energy and mostly are used for house usages .However, Ececom Flexible panels give us this option to have a very lighter weight and great energy to be used on the UAV. Table 1 shows the details of these panels: Peak Power Pmax 130(Wp) Open circuit voltage. Voc 20,32(V) Short circuit current lsc 8,61(A) Voltage at Pmax. Vmp 16,89(V) Current at Pmax. The speech Tribute to the Dog by George Graham Vest showed how loyalty is embedded in dogs. George Graham Vest was a lawyer trying to win the jury s side in his dog s case. Dogs will be loyal whether one is in poverty, when sick, and when alone. Homeless or not dogs will be by its master s side. • 6. The Anaconda Plan In 1861, the United States was no longer united and its people were at war, in what is commonly known as the American Civil War. This left President Abraham Lincoln in a tight spot on how to go about dealing with the Southern states that had seceded, the Confederacy, who were now at war with the Northern states, the Union. Lincoln met with his generals to devise a strategy by which the Confederate states could be brought back into the Union. General Winfield Scott, commanding general of the Union army, proposed one plan of battle that he had earlier proposed to Major General George B. McClellan. His plan came to be known as the Anaconda plan. This plan, although it was never technically adopted, ended up being extremely successful and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This was to prevent them from exporting cotton, tobacco, and other cash crops and to keep them from importing much needed war supplies. Since cotton was the South s staple product and what they relied on for economic success, if the trade of this were to be shut down then they would run out of funds and lose all financial power. The Confederate government was able to purchase a pound of cotton for as low as 8Вў, and sell it to Europe for as much as 54Вў.This sale was often above 300% profit while considering the costs of transport.[4] Therefore, if they were to lose this major source of income, they would begin to crumble and lose any financial power they could possibly have over the Union. This plan was never adopted mainly due to Winfield Scott s lack of planning. His proposal for the blockade was not properly a strategy, despite the fact that it is often referred to by historians as one. It did not estimate the forces that would be needed to guard the 3000 or more miles of coastline in the seceded states.[5] Nor did it consider an allocation of resources, set out a time line, or even name points of particular concern. Due to this lack of planning, Lincoln was extremely skeptical of the plan s possible success. It was because his doubt of the plan s success that he chose to battle with the Confederacy in ground campaigns, rather than waiting for a slow strangulation of the Confederacy to occur. In the ... • 7. Physicality and Emotional Attachment in Shakespeare s... Physicality and Emotional Attachment in Shakespeare s Sonnet 46 In Sonnet 46 of his works about the blond young man, William Shakespeare presents a unique view on the classic debate about physical lust versus emotional love. The poet struggles to decide if his feelings are based upon superficial desire and infatuation, represented by the eye (1), or true love independent of the physical world, symbolized by the heart (1). With a deft movement from violent imagery in the first two lines to the civilized language of law, Shakespeare dismisses the commonly accepted view of a battle between the eye and the heart. The diction of warfare denotes two very separate alien sides clashing in destructive confrontation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He even chooses to modify war (1) with the word mortal (1), signifying a conflict to the death with no possibility for reconciliation or pacification. But in the next line he contradicts himself. Though the poet continues to utilize martial imagery such as conquest (2), his choice of verbs subtly changes the meaning. [D]ivide (2) suggests that both parties in the conflict will receive some portion of the prize, an unlikely occurrence if the eye and heart are truly in mortal war (1). Shakespeare underscores this change in direction by substituting a trochee for the standard iamb as the initial foot of the line. Already, the poet is shifting focus away from the idea of warfare and onto the image of a courtroom. The second quatrain completes that movement and establishes equality between the two sides. Words of violence are conspicuously absent from this point on in the poem, replaced by legal vocabulary, such as plead (5), deny (7), and lies (8). No longer bitter enemies, the eye and the heart become the plaintiff and the defendant (7) in a civil dispute over the possession of Shakespeare s love. The diction in this section of the poem also serves to contradict the traditional negative connotations of infatuation. Physical attraction is often portrayed as course or unclean, but Shakespeare disagrees. He describes eyes, the tangible representation ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Now, Imagine a girl about ten tied to a bed in a brothel and forced to service fifteen to thirty men in one night. A large nonprofit scientific and educational institution, National Geographic, presents the documentary, Taboo: Prostitution. The documentary takes you around the world exploring behaviors and lifestyles that are acceptable in some cultures but forbidden, illegal or reviled in others. The documentary, Taboo: Prostitution, displays different places around the world, and demonstrates the different types of prostitution. It also presents some of the hardships that women are left to face, once they are known as prostitutes. The argument about prostitution being a choice is not black and white, to understand why prostitution is a lifestyle we must understand what prostitution is, what people say about prostitution, and we must draw our conclusions from an objective standpoint. Prostitution has been a profession for years all around the world and it can take many forms and faces. Many people argue that prostitution is a choice, and that these women prefer this type of lifestyle. On the other hand, poverty drives girls into the sex trade. Once a woman joins the sex industry her dignity is irredeemable as a result to them being objectified by society. When the word prostitute comes to mind we think of a fallen woman, but that is not the case ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I use this quote to guide my life personally because I want to be able to use what I believe in, and my goals to make a change. Abortion is a very common debate in the world, and it has been this way for hundreds of years. There are two main arguments when it comes to abortion, most people are either Pro Life or Pro Choice. People that are pro life are against abortions and believe that every human life has equal worth and should have the opportunity to live. While people who are pro choice believe that women should have the choice to decide if they wanted to keep the child that they had growing inside of them or if she wants to terminate the pregnancy. I am pro life because I believe that abortions are used as a way out of something that people are in no hurry to try and prevent. I think that as a society we focus on sex as a thing that everyone does and that makes young adults think that they need to be joining what everyone is doing. This ends up creating a child that neither the mother nor the father are capable of taking care of, and the mother feels her only way out of the situation is to terminate the pregnancy in the form of an abortion. • 10. What Is Dimmesdale A Hypocrisy Of Sin Life oftentimes presents multiple individuals with a shared obstacle, but the method which each person uses in order to overcome is pivotal in determining each person s fate. In Boston, Massachusetts during the 17th century, a cluster of men and women move away from the Old world and quickly become known as the Puritansociety. The Puritan people leave in order to gain freedoms yet formulate a hypercritical society based on strict conformity and theocracy. The common members of the group appear bleek and monotonous as they dress and act the same as one another. The society desires a perfect utopia, severely punishing and treating those who commit sin as criminals. The society ultimately becomes one of ignorance, hypocrisy, and isolation... Dimmesdale slowly but surely begins to understand how severe the damages of his guilt, hiding, and hypocrisy are to his soul. He goes through intense episodes of self harm and abuse as he lives with Chillingworth, the evil physician who acts as a catalyst to strengthening the grief and guilt that shadows poor Dimmesdale. After seven long years of hiding his sin and relationship with Hester from the public, Dimmesdale realizes how absurd his decision to conceal his struggle is. While conversing with Hester in the shadowy forest, free from Puritan judgement, Dimmesdale exclaims, Else, I should long ago have thrown off these garments of mock holiness, and have shown myself to mankind as they will see me at the judgment seat. Happy are you, Hester, that wear the scarlet letter openly upon your bosom! Mine burns in secret! (Hawthorne 167). Dimmesdale is finally brought to his senses when he reveals his admiration for Hester s bravery in being accountable for the sin. He realizes that if he could have adopted his sin upon the scaffold as hester does seven years prior, he would be much better off. • 12. Social And Psychological Factors Influence Economic... Behavioural economics, as it is possible to understand from the definition of the field itself, studies how social and psychological factors influence economic decisions. The main difference with the classical economic approach is that, while economists use a normative approach in describing extit{how decisions should be made} to optimise a reward function, by assuming that subjects are rational decision makers citep{von2007theory}, behavioural economics describes extit{how decisions are actually made} by using experiments that emulate real life decision problems citep{kahneman2000choices, todd2003bounding}. This field of research has lead to the development of heuristics that subjects use in different choice context citep{holyoak2005cambridge}. However, these explanations only postulate disparate heuristics for different choice settings and cannot describe the time course of a decision. In an attempt to overcome such limitations, recently, sequential sampling models of choice widely studied in the perceptual decision making field, have been used to explain the time course of preference formation in value based choice in which the subject is no more integrating evidence over time, but value instead, as for example in making a decision between different sources of food. An example of a value based decision making choice is: shall I have an apple or a pear? From a phenomenological approach this might seem a trivial question, however investigating how such a decision is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. History And History Of Fuel Cells History of fuel cells according to Vladimir S. Bagotsky (2012) Luigi Galvani (1737 1798) In 1791, the Italian physiologist Luigi Galvani discovered that the muscle contractions, similar to the discharged of a Leyden charge, will occur when two metals touch the nerve of a frog. Alexandro Volta (1745 1827) In 1800, Alexandro Volta designed a device called Volta pile that originated from the phenomenon discovered by Galvani. The Volta pile is the prototype of electrochemical power sources such as battery and was of significance of development is the science of both electricity and electrochemistry. Sir William Robert Grove (1811 1896) In 1830s, A British chemist Sir William Robert Grove conducted a series of experiment on water electrolysis. His device consisted of two platinum electrodes dipping into water acidified with sulfuric acid. Grove assumed that by channeling current, water can be decomposed to hydrogen and oxygen and the possibility of opposite reaction. But after disconnecting the current, the electrodes at which the hydrogen and oxygen had been evolve as gasses were polarized. A certain potential difference was preserve between the electrodes. Sir Grove named his invention as gas voltaic battery. His invention becomes the first prototype of fuel cells. Menopause is a natural event experience by women; it is the final menstrual period due to the loss of ovarian follicular function and usually occurs around the age of 51 (2). In menopausal women hormonal replacement therapy is not used to continue the function of the ovarian follicle, on the other hand, the therapy is used to manage the symptoms commonly encountered by women. In the early transitional stages of menopause, women begin to experience a variety of physical and psychological changes (3). Some of the physical changes are unnoticeable to the menopausal women, while others are due to the symptoms. The symptoms commonly experienced by women during menopause include: hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, depression, irritability, headaches, and sleep disturbance, each symptom varies among women (3). Objectives Of Playing Millionaire Based on this case study, as stated earlier on, the objective of playing millionaire is to own as much properties and gain profit by selling or renting it among the players. Players move around the game board buying or trading properties, developing their properties with their houses and hotel, and collecting rent from their opponents, with the goal to drive them into bankruptcy. Therefore, there are three parameters that we have considered while collecting some data regarding this game which are dicerolls, the propertyand going in and out of jail. There are three possible ways for the players to end up in jail which are : by landing on the Go to Jail space, by drawing a Go to Jail Chance card or either by rolling three doubles continuously. If a player is in jail, they do not take their normal turn and must either pay a fine of RM50 to be released from jail, use a Chance or Fate Get Out of Jail Free card , or they can try to roll doubles on the dice. If the player fails to roll doubles they lose their turn. Failure to roll doubles in their third turn will result in paying the RM50 fine to be released. Moreover, when the player is in jail, they may not buy any property directly because they are currently not moving around and does not land on any properties on the board. Nevertheless, they may sell, trade and mortgage properties, purchase buildings, and collect rents while they are in jail. If the player does roll doubles to exit jail, they may immediately move according to the roll, but they cannot roll a second time after exiting jail. • 17. Lion King and Hamlet Similarities and Differences Between The Lion King and Hamlet As innocent and young the Disney movie The Lion King may seem, it is, indeed, loosely based off of the renowned Shakespeare play Hamlet . It would seem strange to the typical audiences of each, but when looked at closer, it is seen that they are actually related underneath the youthful, animated surface of The Lion King. One of the main aspects that connects The Lion King and Hamlet is the characters. Simba and Hamlet are both princes of their kingdoms. Hamlet, a man, and Simba, a lion cub, are in the same situation which is coping with and avenging their fathers deaths. Hamlet goes crazy and creates a whole plan of revenge but Simba simply runs from the problem altogether ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An enormous range of people was reached between these two works of literature. The fact that animals were used in The Lion King is almost ironic. This is true because not only were the characters in The Lion King more civil, but the people in Hamlet acted more like animals territorial, aggressive, immature, and thoughtless. The irony in The Lion King continues with a line from Pumbaa, All this time I thought that all of the sparkly dots in the sky were big balls of burning gas billions of miles away. Rafiki, the baboon that acts almost as Simba s conscience, calls Simba a baboon because he won t go back to his pride. Another similarity between the two is the sighting of the father s ghost. Simba sees it and it serves as his revelation moment before he returns to his pride. For Hamlet, his father s ghost is his cue to avenge Hamlet Sr. s death. The word wind is used several times throughout Hamlet and it is also used in one of Simba s lines before he sees Mufassa s ghost. The end of Hamlet is completely different from that of The Lion King. As most Disney movies go, there is a happy ending and all is well after justice is served. Shakespeare takes a different position. At the end of Hamlet, almost everyone dies. The only survivor is Marcellus, the extremely faithful and supportive best friend of Hamlet through the entire play. However, at the end of The Lion King, Zazu who was held captive by Scar and the hyenas is set free. Scar is the only one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

ABSTRACT Edith Wharton was a Pulitzer Prize winning female author whose writing style was mainly affected by her aristocratic upbringing. Growing up Edith Wharton was friends with former President Theodore Roosevelt. The two were often compared and both were said to have been self made men . Edith Wharton s novels were often critically acclaimed until Ethan Frome was published. The novel was said to be cruel and violent by critics and casual readers. In my opinion, Edith Wharton s Ethan Frome is a great book that reveals the harsh realities of failed relationships hanging on by a thread combined with the struggle of being poverty stricken. For my original piece, I will write a poem about Edith Wharton s failed marriage that lasted 28 years, as if I were Edith Wharton after her divorce from Edward Wharton. I chose to do a report on Edith Wharton because she was a female writer that believed women were just as capable as men during a time when men were seen as superior in every aspect to women, and also because she achieved much more than most male writers of her time. I believe Edith Wharton s aristocratic upbringing had the main effect on her writing style. Background ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 22. Prostitution In The Philippines Prostitution is one of the oldest professions that have widely been practiced around the world, and the Philippines is no exception to this. With the advent of Spanish colonists in the late 1500s, Filipina slaves were sold as exotic sex objects or prostitutes to European brothels. During the early 1940s, many Filipinas in Manila and surrounding towns served as comfort girls to provide sexual favors to Japanese soldiers of the Japanese Imperial Army serving in the country and in the Pacific region. Today, with the emergence of information technology and global travel, the age old profession has begun to operate on a technological scale, and sex workers, mostly young girls, have moved not only to the big cities but also online. To be specific, a new form of prostitutionamong Filipina schoolgirls, called Prosti tuition, has surfaced recently in the country. Prosti tuition, as the name suggests, is a term used among student sex workers to refer to the use of prostitution as a means of earning money to send themselves to school. Sometimes called survival sex, it is sex work that pays for these students tuition fees, school supplies, allowance, cellphone load, and the like. Typically, the peak season for this tuition payment scheme is during enrollment period or right before final/periodic exams (Santos, 2014). If the factors are made aware and followed, the factors will work hand in hand to support the company through the design and planning process of the innovation strategies. Equally important to the innovation process are the factors related to the innovation systems design. Factors that are analyzed include the creative phase, execution phase, and creation stage. In the creative stage, ideas come together for everyone to discuss. Next the innovation systems design will lead to the execution stage. In Antigoneby Sophocles, Antigone did do the right thing when she buried her brother. Admittedly, Antigone is putting her sister, Ismene, at risk by telling her about her plan to bury her brother, Polyneices. However, Antigone thinks about the eternal life of her brother. Antigone says, I say that this crime is holy: I shall lie down / with him in death, and I shall be as dear / To him as he to me (56 58). Antigone challenges Ismene s feelings to their brother s eternal peace. • 36. Diversity of Mangroves Introduction Mangroves have different economic benefits. Nowadays, destruction of mangrove forest is very alarming. During the year 1918, mangroves forest is about 500, 000 hectares wide. In the Philippines, from the estimated 448, 000 hectares in 1920 s have been declined to 110, 000 hectares in the year 1990 and it reached 130, 000 hectares by the year 2000, as stated by Lunar and Laguardia (2012). Human anthropogenic activities such as conversion of mangroves into fishpond, shrimp farm, salt ponds, renovation and other forms of developing industries reduces the mangrove areas. The continuous reduction of mangrove forest have been used as different kind of materials like charcoal or for fire wood production, house materials and converting these mangrove forest into fish ponds establishment and in addition the expansion of coastal communities (Becira, 2006). According to Upadhyay et al., (2002), mangrove ecosystems have many ecological importances for maintaining marine life. Mangrove ecosystems are being studied with more interest worldwide because of their economic importance in support of commercial fisheries alone (Cintron et al. 1980). Uses and values of mangroves are many and varied. For example, they provide habitat as well as spawning and nursery ground for various marine species like fish, shellfish, crustaceans and other marine organisms, enrich the near shore environment, act as windbreakers and protects the shoreline from storms, stabilize the shoreline, and ... Remember The Titans Reflection Jocelyn0 Cash 10/31/2017 The U.S. Since 1865 Professor Abdul Salaam Remember the Titans is a film based on the true story of Coach Herman Boone, who takes on the task of integrating a racially divided football team in order to achieve victory. In 1970, the Supreme Court ruling in Swann v Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education permits busing students to achieve racial integration in public schools. In 1971, T. C. Williams High Schoolhires successful, black coach, Herman Boone as head coach to lead the school s newly integrated football team, depriving Bill Yoast, former head coach and nominee for the Virginia High School Hall of Fame, of the head coach position. Yoast debates pursuing opportunities elsewhere, but when most of his white players vow to sit out the season unless he coaches, he changes his mind and stays on as Boone s assistant and defensive coordinator. Throughout training camp and the season, Boone and Yoast s black and white players learn to accept each other, to work together, and that football knows no race. As they learn from each other, Boone and Yoast also learn from them and in turn, the whole town learns from the team, the Titans. During their practices, black and white football team members often clash in racial conflicts. The biggest fights occur between the white captain, whom also acts as the unofficial leader for the white football players, Gerry Bertier, and black player, whom also acts as the unofficial leader for the black football ... Beethoven was able to draw from his own internal emotional struggle and reveal some of these insecurities through his compositions but intensifying the Classical form and other practices. Programme Music During the Romanic period, there were many advances in regards to instrumentation, and the size of a typical orchestra increased in size and range, adding in more instruments to the wind, brass and percussion sections. Symphonie Fantastique, by Hector Berlioz, was no exception, and was written for an extensive orchestra of 220 players, including, piccolos, flutes, oboes, horns, clarinets, bassoons, cornets, trumpets, trombones, tuba (or ophicleides), timpani, bells, a wide variety of percussion, bells, violins, violas, cellos and double basses. Through this symphony, various instruments have programmatic purposes to develop the scene, such as the pizzicato strings in the 4th movement, representing the head bouncing after he was decapitated, and the clarinet in E flat and bassoons in the 5th movement, depicting bubbles rising in a cauldron. Both movements 4 and 5 were through composed, featuring various musical fragments and themes. Movement 4 features two key themes in addition to the idГ©e fixe, whilst Movement 5 centred around 3 musical themes; the Beloved (Harriet), the Great Shout, and the Fearsome Crowd. The Relations Between Syria And Lebanon The post 9/11 world has bought about huge changes throughout the Middle East and many countries are experiencing challenges unprecedented since the end of the Second World War. United States foreign policy, the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, and the geopolitical struggle between Iran and Saudi Arabia throughout the Middle Easthas made the region politically unstable and ripe with conflict and human suffering. This dire situation is a great example of how interconnected the relationships of Middle Eastern countries are and how these relations often disseminate out and affect the region as a whole. As such, an analysis of the bilateral relations between two Middle Eastern countries allows us to partly understand how, when given historical context, this situation came to be and what factors influence these relationships. The bilateral relationship between Syria and Lebanon provides a great and unique analysis of the factors that influence relationships between Middle Eastern states because of their shared but complicated history. Both these countries used to be one in the same up until the early twentieth century and their relations have gone through various evolutionary stages that have had a greater political impact on the region altogether. In this paper I will examine the relationship between Syria and Lebanon and seek to explain the key factors that influence this relationship. Abusive Relationships In Death And The Maiden An Analysis on the Role of Abusive Relationships in Death and the Maiden Throughout the play Death and the Maiden, Dorfman uses Paulina and Gerardo s abusive relationship to display how gender roles affect characters interactions. After the introduction of Roberto, a shift in Paulina s character occurs altering Gerardo s and Paulina s previous relationship. Paulina takes control, refusing subservience to Gerardo. This newfound control Paulina has of herself and the people around her causes a shift in the way interactions are conducted. Trapped as a sort of prisoner, Roberto and Gerardo must obey Paulina or risk indirectly causing Roberto s death. Another example of the inequality in Gerardo and Paulina s relationship is when Gerardo accepts a position on the commission without discussing it with Paulina. He ironically believes decisions can be made without her input or consent, but contrasty, if she makes any decisions he must play a role in them, whether it be interrogating Roberto or lending the car jack out to her mother. The effect of Paulina s new sense of self also results in Gerardo having difficulty communicating with Paulina because she s in a position of power, for example when Paulina held a gun Gerardo states while you point it at me, there is no possible dialogue, (24). Chemistry And Chemical Testing In Chemistry Priya Talwar Chemistry 1411 008, (Group 06 Partners: Esther, Bethany, Sophia) 19 October, 2017 CSI: How to identify an unknown white powder Jiayue Sun Introduction The Identity of a chemical compound is extremely critical to observe. The identity can lead to discovering its properties and can aid in its classification. Thus scientist all around the world put high emphasis on the procedure to identify a compound through the flame test and chemical testing. Flame test works to identify the cation within the compound, while chemical testing using certain compounds and acid identifies the anion. Flame test uses the differences of energy levels of an element. When the flame, from the micro burner used, excites the electrons in their ground state, the electrons absorb the energy and move to a higher energy level. Yet since the ground state is preferred, the electrons tend to move down the energy level and emit the extra energy absorbed. This type of energy is emitted through photon and wavelength, a characteristic of light. Thus, each element emits a certain type light which can be used to identify it by consulting a chart with all the documented flame test results. In Particular for this experiment, the test for ammonia and Magnesium is conducted with the addition of sodium hydroxide and the observing for the presence of the odor of ammonia for ammonia or precipitate for magnesium. The chemical testing uses compounds including acids and alkaline to combine with the element. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first reason was that the colonists were being taxed unfairly, the second reason was that colonists had no representation in the English Parliament and the third reason was that the governing mother country was an ocean away from the colonies. However, men did not solely ask for their hand in marriage, they also had to formulate something to say. In the books Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens, there are two men who decide to propose to someone they take liking in. Those men are William Collins who proposes to Elizabeth Bennett (Pride and Prejudice) and Bradley Headstone who proposes to Lizzie Hexam. Although both of the men s proposal resulted in rejection, one of the proposals had better diction than the other. The ideas such as bringing up [their significant other s] reputation or having true love for [their significant lover] may indicate to the women they are truly sincere. Due to the time period s typical romances, there were a limited amount of things a woman and man can do with each other in public. Section 743(b) Mechanics Section 743(b) provides for a special adjustment to the basis of partnership assets to take into account the amount that the buyer actually paid for his interest in each of those assets. The special basis adjustment is intended to reduce the buyer s outside basis and inside basis disparity. This adjustment is deemed special because it is unique to the transferee partner, without affecting the partnership s basis in the assets. Equality between inside basis and outside basis in Subchapter K is central to its configuration. Partnerships are intended to provide taxpayers with an entity carrying a single layer of tax. The inside outside basis equality ensures that result. Absent nonrecognition provisions, when a third party purchases, or receives by bequest, a partnership interest, the transferee s receives cost basis or fair market value basis. That cost includes the partnership liabilities attributable to the acquired interest. Section 743(a) disrupts Subchapter K s goal of basis uniformity by leaving the basis in partnership assets unaffected by transfer of a partnership interest. The undisturbed basis most likely leaves the transferee partner with basis different from the seller and from that interest s share of the partnership s inside basis. As an entity, the purchaser obtains fair market value basis in the purchased interest, but not in his share of the partnership s assets. Consequently, if the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
