containing 127 code fragments, extracted directly from the Eclipse and NetBeans Official

March 29, 1998 was just another typical day for headline news in Sioux Falls. The Argus Leader
was filled with your everyday politics, sports, entertainment, weather, and life news. Eight inmates
serving life sentence in the South Dakota State Penitentiary met to discuss better living conditions
for all prisoners (Steen). On a more positive note, the annual Sioux Empire water festival was held
at the University of Sioux Falls. Around 2,200 fourth graders, from surrounding communities,
gather to learn more about the abundance of their natural resources, and how to preserve them.
Thirty booths were set up at the site displaying how to make snow, how to snorkel, and how to

The least persuasive essay out of the four was Harlan Ellison s An Edge in My Voice. Ellison
presents his argument in a style that seems to me is more of a disgruntled rambling about both
famous and infamous people that die from gun shot, than an article about gun control. Ellison
spends the first few pages asking the reader if they cried when a certain person died; he begins
with famous people such as Martin Luther King, Bobby Kennedy, and John Lennon, and then
moves on to more obscure examples. Instead of trying to build an argument, Ellison seemed to be
more caught up with anger and the notion of conspiracies. He does however try to use the intensify
technique of Rank s model, to persuade the reader of the horror of deaths caused by guns and their
importance. Although Ellison did try to persuade his audience in a different manor, I felt it was
ineffective at best,

Michel Foucault was a French philosopher, historian, social theorist, philologist and literary critic
whose work had a tremendous impact on several disciplines. He was not a sociologist by training,
but he worked diligently on sociological issues and otherwise had significant influence on the work
of other sociologists. One of his most famous works is the The History of Sexuality, in which he
examines the emergence of sexuality as a discursive object and separate sphere of life. According to
Foucault, the idea that everyone has a sexuality is relatively a recent development in the West. In
Volume 1, Foucault discusses the relationship between sex and power in a historical context. He
states that the ways in which humans think about sexuality is primarily shaped by the repressive
