Argumentative Essay On Death Penalty
Writing an essay on the topic of the death penalty can be a challenging endeavor that requires
careful consideration of various perspectives and a thorough examination of the ethical, legal,
and social implications surrounding this controversial issue. The difficulty lies in navigating
through a complex web of arguments and counterarguments, each supported by historical
precedents, cultural influences, and moral principles.
Crafting a compelling argumentative essay on the death penalty demands not only a deep
understanding of the subject matter but also a keen awareness of the emotional and ethical
nuances that surround it. The writer must grapple with questions of justice, human rights, and
the state's role in administering punishment. Moreover, the essay must be grounded in well-
researched facts and statistics to substantiate claims and counter opposing viewpoints.
One of the challenges in addressing the death penalty is the inherent emotional intensity that the
topic carries. It requires a delicate balance between presenting logical reasoning and
acknowledging the profound emotional impact on individuals and society. Navigating this
balance while maintaining a coherent and persuasive argument can be a daunting task for any
writer.
Furthermore, the death penalty is a topic that is subject to evolving societal attitudes and legal
developments. Staying abreast of current events, legal precedents, and changing public opinions
adds an additional layer of complexity to the essay-writing process. The writer must be vigilant
in ensuring that their arguments remain relevant and up-to-date in the ever-shifting landscape of
public discourse.
In conclusion, tackling the subject of the death penalty in an argumentative essay is no easy feat.
It demands a writer's ability to navigate through intricate ethical considerations, emotional
sensitivities, and dynamic legal landscapes. However, by approaching the task with diligence,
empathy, and a commitment to thorough research, a writer can construct a compelling and
thought-provoking essay on this contentious issue.

Descriptive Essay On The Storm
The sky is alive, rain crashes furiously to the ground. Trees topple, lightning
shatters the sky, thunder shakes the ground. Two travelers from two worlds watch
the storm only long enough to know it is a monsoon worthy of legends. Ashely
had gone camping only this morning under clear skies and tamed weather. She is
a lover of the wild, mostly for the quiet. She plans every three or so months to
spend a week living off the land. She is young and her skills as a hunter are not yet
refined. But you don t need to trap and kill your own food when there are places
like Midnight Market where you can pick up all the oatmeal and sun dried grapes
one can eat for barely more than pocket change.
Ashley has been doing this ever since she was in her early teens. She had noticed
when she was thirteen that her sent had a powerful effect on other foxes, and in
exponentially greater one if she happened to be in estrus. So she mapped out her heat
cycle and made the arrangements to always be out of town when her heat hit.
In the seven years now Ashley has done this she has seen the strange, and the
unsettling out in the woods, but never has she seen rain so harshly that the rain burns
the skin and darkens one s vision. Her clothes are soaked through in moments and her
backpack saturates, her hunting coat offers her no protection for the vengeful storm.
There is only one thing Ashley can think to do.
Maybe 2 summers ago Ashley had discovered a natural cave only a mile or so from
her camp
Department Of Youth Rehabilitation Services
The Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services is what we decided to do our
project on. It appeals to us because we can easily see ourselves working with this
organization at various points in our careers. To begin with we wanted to give a
description of the history of the organization as well as its purpose as an overview to
understand its uses.
The Department of YouthRehabilitation Services has a relatively short history but it
is a very impactful one. The department is headed by Clinton Lacey. The
Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services was founded in 2004 in the District of
Columbia and was made to be a cabinet level agency for the districts juvenile justice
system. This means that it is a board that reports to a president. Before ... Show more

After Schiraldi led the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services through its first
several years he helped lower the runaway status of supervised youth from 26 percent
down to seven percent. Through his tenure the homicide rate among supervised youth
also fell quite considerably. One of the most remarkable changes was the fact that the
recidivism rate for youth under the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services care
decreased by 47 percent.
Today DYRS has a fully comprehensive and functional website. It has easy access to
links that include Community based treatment, DC YouthLink Services, New
Beginings Youth Development Center, Youth Services Center, DYRS Case
Management, as well as a variety of other resources that can be helpful to any youth
in need.
One of the largest contribution that the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services
today is Family Empowerment and its Grant Program Incentives to help the
familys of at risk or troubled youth work to combat possibilities of negative
behavior. They also work to bring families in as a primary support system of a child
who has already made mistakes so that they can turn their lives

Let Us Start With A Brief Overview Of Electromagnetic...
Let us start with a brief overview of Electromagnetic Radiation ;
Radiant energy released by certain electromagnetic processes is Electromagnetic
Radiation. It is radiant energy that is all around us and takes many forms whether it
be visible, such as, visible light, or invisible electromagnetic radiations, such as radio
waves, infrared light, sunlight, and x rays.
Electromagnetic radiation covers a large spectrum of wavelengths, these waves of
radiant energy have different usage according to their energy, in example; the rays
from the sun, sunlight is vital to life on earth, radio waves allow us to
communicate, microwaves allow us to cook our foods, infrared radiation provides
us with warmth/heat, visible light illuminate and is also used essentially for
growth of our trees, flowers, and the many foods we grow on earth, ultraviolet
rays, which also comes from the sun, provide us with Vitamin D which is vital for
our bones, and x rays are used for medical diagnostic such as diagnosing a fractured
or broken bone or pathology, it is also used in airports to check our luggage and
help us be safe onboard to our paradise destinations. Gamma rays are used in the
medical field to sterilize surgical equipments, it is also used to sterilize baby
nipples, and cosmetic products, just to name a few; And for the past 60 years or so,
the combination of Radiation, Cobalt 60, Cesium 137, and Gamma Rays have been
used for Irradiating food.

the subject of her divorce could have been difficult and awkward for M to reflect

the topics of her divorce could have been awkward for the future of the friendship.
The awkwardness was felt through her unwillingness to expand upon her feeling and
it was evident in her delivery as compared to the subject of her family and friends. I

Vasco Da Gama, Ferdinand Magellan And Hernan Cortes
Throughout the fifteenth and sixteenth century, Europeans widened their views on
exploration. They ventured out into unknown territories and countries that have
never before seen a person from Europe. These explorers would search the world,
mainly looking for new people to convert to Christianity or for wealth and riches.
Countries such as Portugal, Spain, and England all developed ways to gain wealth
through travel, whether it be sending people to explore and hopefully find valuables,
or expanding economic theories. People such as Vasco da Gama, Ferdinand Magellan,
and Hernan Cortes, along with the idea of mercantilism, attempted to gain wealth
through exploration.
Vasco da Gama, a Portuguese explorer, tried to gain wealth by venturing to India.
The king had asked da Gama to find a route to India that was easy to access. Vasco
da Gama left for India on July 8, 1497, and reached India for the first time on May
20, 1498 (Biography.com). When he arrived at India for the second time, Portugal
was able to set up trading posts and gain more money, all because he had made the
journey overseas. Throughout his adventures in India, Vasco da Gama documented
his experiences in his journal. His arrival in India and confrontation with the king
was one of these things. Da Gama says, They asked what he [da Gama] sought so
far away from home, and he told them that we came in search of Christians and of
spices, (Document 1a). In response, the King of India said You owe great thanks to
Hydrofracking Research Paper
Humans have been burning fossil fuels even before the Industrial Revolution, and
most scientists acknowledge that our planet has warmed ten times faster than ever
before. Throughout previous history, we have established that the Earth s average
rate of change has been about one degree per thousand years. However, in the
previous 100 years, the Earthhas warmed about one degree. This alarming fact has
frightened scientists, as the change has occurred ten times faster than usual. We need
to find alternative energy resources in order to prevent this immense change from
occurring.
A solution to this problem is using natural gas, which is obtained through hydraulic
fracturing. This is a fairly simple process, which involves getting at underground ...

Hydraulic fracturing also causes a great change on our planet that most people are
not aware of earthquakes. Earthquakes induced by human activity have been
documented in a few locations in the United States, Japan, and Canada. The cause
was injection of fluids into deep wells for waste disposal and secondary recovery
of oil, and the use of reservoirs for water supplies (Reader, 2011). The process of
hydrofracking involves using millions of gallons of water, which an estimated 200
tankers can bring. This is greatly harming our environment as it is draining our water

What Caused The Crusades Dbq Analysis
How Desire for Personal Gain Caused the Crusades
With total autonomy to kill and plunder as they please alongside a godly, miracle
like victory in their first ever attempt in a series of holy wars, the Crusades stand out
as a key point in the history of both Christianity and the medieval world as a whole.
It is undeniable that religious devotion played a factor in the Crusades; in an era
where Europe was a land of chaotic violence, a quick chance to absolve oneself
from any sin was immensely appealing. Yet from the wars very origin to their ways
of recruiting and actions on the battlefield, this apparent devotion that is the heart of
the Crusades is repetitively contradicted. The holy wars would never have reached
the height they did or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though it was not their key goal, protecting the Christian people, monuments, etc.
still was something the Crusaders stuck by. Yet, as the wars continued, faith seemed
to be ever more forgotten than it was when they first prioritized material gain.
Mesarites, a church official in Constantinople recounts their takeover in the Fourth
Crusade. As the proclaimed protectors of Christianity invaded, their actions seemed
driven by a brutal desire to simply take; whether that be gold ornaments or lives.
The church official describes the Crusaders as barking like Cerberus and exhaling
like Charon (Document 6). These comparisons to the creatures of Greece s
underworld are something you d expect to hear about the Muslim Turks, their
original enemies . In this holy city, seemingly precious to Christians Orthodox or
not the Crusaders actions are again something expected of some other warring
faith. Whether it was trampling divine buildings and artifacts, killing without care,
raping women, or tearing children away from their parents, it was clear that the
Crusaders were maddened by war and murderous in spirit [...] fearing neither God s
anger or man s vengeance (Document 6). Even if some had started waging in the
holy wars out of pure religious devotion to God, by now the thrill of war had
overtaken even the most God fearing
An Essay About Edm
A New Type Of Music EDM EDM is a real music. Since 1980, electronic music first
appeared in nightclub, and soon became popular. It also being highly accepted in
nowadays society. Furthermore, EDM had been widely used in many singer
songs, for instance, Not today , a song from a Korea s boy band, also a famous
song let me love you , which made by both DJ Snake and Jutin Bieber. EDM is not
just a club music. However, cause the electronic music doesn t involve any
instrument, some critics oppose the idea that EDM is a genre of music. The
argument about EDM has been sustained for a long time, it s time for those rigid
people accept the new technology. EDM doesn t really mean electronic dance music.

As a popular music in nowadays, EDM doesn t involve any instrument in it. In
people s common sense, musics are all create with instruments, can EDM also
count as a music, which break up the tradition. The definition for music shouldn t
be that confined. In the ancient time, there s no instrument , people knocked
desks, bowls, bows as the beats for their songs. With time elapsing, instrument been
created, and defined as instrument. Let s say instrument is a thing which give
people beats and complete the song. As well as electronic device also can give
people beats and complete songs, electronic dance music can also be a music. I
had read a article about whether EDM can be a genre music. In this article, author
mentioned a important idea that who or which group of people can decided the
genre of music. In my opinion, no one can decided it. Music is a thing about
emotion, everyone have different emotion. We can t say somebody s emotion is
wrong. The things is, when we heard a song, a group of people may have the same
felling about it, they may like it and become fans, they may not like it, then just skip
it and find another song they like. We have no right to deny someone s

The Fan s electric motors used in the fans are completely assembled third party
units. A local Chinese company provides Riordan with the units and while the
company tries to maintain enough of the electric motors in stock, its on time
deliveries over in the past year have averaged only 93% (Riordan Manufacturing,
2013). The short Cummings of the third party are affecting the delivery rates and
customer satisfaction. Metric two that should be considered is the shipping cost to
the consumer and the manufacturer. According to the Riordan supply chain report
orders of electric fans can be either picked up at the China plant by the customers
themselves or else they can be shipped to the customers anywhere in China. The
China Plant uses a Chinese shipping company that offers services comparable to
FedEx, but is less expensive. Orders are also shipped internationally by either FedEx
or a Chinese shipping company that competes with FedEx. Two shipping companies
are used by the China Plant for international shipments to assure that timely delivery
services will always be available. The services both shippers offer are very similar and
their shipping charges are competitive (Riordan Manufacturing, 2013). Streamlining
shipping options and contractually investing in one shipping provider might decrease
the amount of money spent in shipping causing profits to increase. Providing non
shipping incentives to customers that pick up
Disobedience In Paradise Lost
Have you ever seen a big red button that says do not push and then pushed it? We
have all been there; it was just too tempting to not push it, right? In John Milton s
Paradise Lost, mankind presses that big red button. Through Adam and Eve s free
will to eat from the Tree of Knowledge, they fall from Paradise. It is not like God
did not warn the pair; he made it abundantly clear that their one rule was to not eat
from the tree. God, being omniscient, knows that they will fall, but makes their
choice of disobedience an easy decision. Although God foresees the expulsion of
Adam and Evefrom the garden, they have free will and fall on their own; however,
God makes it too easy for Satan to succeed. God lets mankind fail through their own
choices. At the start of the epic, Milton asserts that Paradise Lostwill display Man s
first disobedience (1.1). Right from the get go, Milton claims that the fall is
mankind s fault, so we know that Man must have made their ill fated decision on
their own free will. Jumping forward to Book Three, God discusses the future of
mankind with the Son. Being all knowing, God can see the choice Adam and Eve
will make: Man will hearken to [Satan s] glozing lies... [and] will fall (3.93 95).
Despite knowing what is to come for the pair, God recognizes that mankind s fall is
a result of their own choices. God could have easily intervened and made the right
choice for them, but he wants Adam and Eve to have the free will to make their own
choices. In

what made this series so recognizable? The open world? The sound track? The
adventure? Or just the sheer thrill of figuring out one of the game s many puzzles?

The Sports Of An Athletic Games
The hosting of an athletic games is a mammoth task that requires in depth planning
and huge amounts of labor. In modern times, and arguably more so in Ancient
Greece, sports must be viewed as the intersection of many eclectic parts of society.
While running an athletic event on this scale, we can break the planning
chronologically into three main categories that will determine success: attracting an
audience, the actual logistics of the game, and judging and the distribution of prizes.
Each of these topics has many facets which must all be taken into consideration for
our games to successfully attract people and sustain the popularity of the sanctuary
and its God.
Attracting large audiences is the crux of putting on a successful games. To do this,
we must acknowledge one very crucial fact about sports in Ancient Greece it is a
result of, maybe even an extension of, religion. Therefore, if we are to host a
successful event, we must first create a strong religious element to our sanctuary. For
this I would suggest the creation of an oracle at our sanctuary. Oracles, such as the
Pythia at Delphi, provide a steady influx of people while also increasing the
popularity of the God with each prophecy (Jones). This will feed directly into the
popularity of our event. Religious fervor could be further augmented by the creation
of a large monument of some kind. Just like the gold and ivory statue of Zeus at
Olympia which drew in large crowds, our idol would serve as an
Charles Van Doren Research Paper
My honest reaction to Charles Van Doren pretending to know the answers on a
television show but was in fact given the answers is that it doesn t surprise me that
the game show was rigged. Television networks want ratings; all that ever seems to

have done if given the opportunity. By partaking in being coached, he became a
celebrity, walked away a large amount of money, and was provided with
opportunities he may have never had available to him without his new found
celebrity. His dad seemed to have an inkling of what really transpired when he urged
Van Doren to wipe the slate clean, start over. Van Doren initially continued to lie and
deny being told the answers.

REINTEGRATING YOUNG OFFENDERS INTO THE COMMUNITY
Introduction
This paper is a report of an analysis of the concept of working with young offenders
to prevent them from reoffending. The aim of this paper is to learn about the
experiences of individuals who have been released from prison into the community so
as to make contributions into developing relevant interventions based on the
difficulties/barriers faced by these individuals. To add to this, this paper will explore
whether everyone of these offenders experiences are different or similar from another.
This paper aims to answer a number of questions questions, among them whether the
offenders ever have the thought that by reoffending or breaching their conditions they
would go back to prison. Whether they used drugs. Whether they had any children
and if they did whether they had contact with them if they see them when they are
released or when they last saw them and if they have not seen them the reason why.

While he was waiting he had an earrings in his hand that he bought as a gift to Erin

Essay Mapping The Violence in Colombia
Mapping The Violence in Colombia
The peace researcher Johan Galtung proposes a typology of violence, constructed as
direct and indirect, formal informal and visible invisible. Regarding it as a triangle,
Galtung (1990) states that typology of violence corresponds roughly to the ABC
levels of the conflict triangle: Attitude, Behaviour and Contradictions. In the first
level Direct violence (acts of violence as such) and in second and third level
underneath the surface; Structural violence and Cultural violence. See figure below.
The Structural Violence concept by Galtung (1969) asserts that the structure and
culture in societies are a central facet on the explanation of violence; thus, human
beings are being influenced so that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, to define violence is a highly intricate process that has taken many decades
for social researchers. Violence is understood differently in the cities than the
countryside, in the north and south, and in places directly affected by conflict (see
appendix 1). In general terms, the characteristics that intersect the general violent map
in the whole country can be summed up in four types; structural, institutional, cultural
and interpersonal. Violence and survival are another two elements to analyse, as
citizens have created mechanisms of co existence with violence by fitting the rules of
paramilitary, guerrilla, drug cartels besides the government structural norms.
Therefore, these power agents in the country condition the behaviour of the
population living in the middle of the war.
By applying Galtung s cultural structural violence theories to Colombia, it can be
analysed that references to cultural structural violence in this country can be found
from popular culture to politics. Depicting its reality, TV, soap operas, cinema,
journalism, news and literature illustrate violence as a part of their life where many
rough stories are told and some are still happening. The vox populi says that
everyone in Colombia has been exposed to a violent incident either that has happened
to them or somebody close. Inside Colombia, its people see themselves as a
disorganised state with diverse confrontations. In addition, popular culture references
The World Business Council For Sustainable Development

Since the global financial crisis in 2008, the society s trust in organizations has

organizations are entrusted significant power among the society, people are
increasingly care about the behavior of the organization, in other words, the society
consider the organizations should take the responsibility to make an effort to improve
the society, environment and economic. For example, the World Business Council for
Sustainable Development (WBCSD) has outlined several environmental issues and
has provided suggestions to corporations in terms of not exhausting the natural
resources. Due to the increasingly consciousness of the whole world, this essay is
focused on two main questions: Why some corporations are not willing to take
corporate social responsibilityand why should they take the it? Then, how can we
measure an organization s performance in terms of social responsibility?
There are quite a lot theories related to corporate social responsibility, and enlightened
self interest theory and managerial stakeholder theory are two major theories that
prevent the corporation from taking their social responsibility. Enlightened self
interest theory held the opinion that corporate social responsibility will be taken and
only will be taken when the corporation can be benefited by the activity and
shareholders value can be increased, and this theory inevitably has a great impact on

Driving while Drinking
What are the effects of alcohol on driving?
Driving a vehicle is a very complex activity that demands proper decision making,
total concentration, good co ordination and rapid reflexes. In order to drive safely, it
is essential to be alert, aware and able to make quick decisions in response to a
constant rapidly changing environment.
Alcohol alters the ability of the brain and body to function normally. It interferes
with even the most experienced driver s ability to drive safely.
When alcohol is consumed, many of the required skills to drive safely such as

The severity of alcohol induced impairment on driving depends on the amount of
alcohol present in the bloodstream, this is based on a person s blood alcohol

Studies have shown that when under the influence of alcohol, drivers are not able

perception of distance is increased. For example, in an ordinary scenario, a driver

When PETA and Premature Ejaculation Collide
What could the animal rights group PETA possibly have in common with premature
ejaculation? When we think of PETA, we generally think about activists staging
protests, demonstrations against animal testing, and incredibly sad commercials that
make us tear up. However, a commercial advertisement produced by the group in
2014 has reappeared this year, and now viewers are wondering if the advertisements
message is true.
PETA Promotes the Vegan Diet for Premature Ejaculation
During this quirky and intriguing PETA commercial a couple is seen engaging in the

Affects of the Vegan Diet on Premature Ejaculation
As a solely plant based diet, vegans do not ingest any meat or dairy products,
including fish. On the whole, people who remove the excess fats and proteins found
in meat and dairy are healthier, and often more physically fit. While the human body
does require fat and protein to function correctly, the amounts are negligible compared
to the levels of both that we generally ingest daily. It is well understood that too much
fat in the human diet can be unhealthy, and eventually deadly. No one, however, ever
thinks that we may be eating too much protein.
On a daily basis, a normal human male only requires 50 grams of protein. To put it
in perspective, a small hamburger patty inherently has 25 grams of protein in it. So
that one double cheeseburger you ate today actually has all of the protein you need
for an entire 24 hours. Something that many people do not understand about protein
is that each of the grams of protein that we ingest but do not need, turns into fat.
Therefore, all of the excess proteins we take in become fat cells, which in turn
damage our overall
Hero Cycle Harry Potter
From living with his aunt and uncle and sleeping under the stairs to his life being
completely changed around to practicing magic and becoming one of the most
well known wizards in history. The character Harry Potter in the well known book
Harry Potter and the Philosopher s stone is an astonishing example of how the hero
cycle is applied to the protagonist. Harry is living his most ordinary life in the
regular world and suddenly the call to adventure approached him when Harry begins
to receive mysterious letters. Refusal of the call comes next and after that the
meeting of the mentor. Secondly, the crossing of the threshold is used when Harry
joins the wizarding world. Tests, Allies and enemies when he arrives at Hogwarts,
school of witchcraft and wizardry. Approach when the trio prepare themselves to
face Voldemort. Ordeal death and rebirth, reward and seizing the sword. Lastly. The
road back when Harry, Ron and Hermione try and face Voldemort. Resurrection and
the return of the elixir. Is Harry Potteris an amazing example of the hero cycle? The
hero cycle is a pattern of narrative that appears in drama, storytelling, myth, religious
ritual, and psychological development. It describes the typical adventure of the
archetype known as The Hero in twelve stages.
Harry Potter is living in the ordinary world with his Aunt, Uncle and Cousin who
treat him with very little respect. He begins to receive mysterious letters which are
addressed explicitly to him. His aunt and
Why Corporations Should Not Hire Military Veterans
Military veterans have many characteristics that show good leadership and courage,
which is what companies should be aspiring to have in their employees. Instead,
many corporations are purposely not hiring military veterans; resulting in thousands
becoming homeless. Corporations are discriminating against our soldiers and the
government is not endeavoring to help these soldiers either. Companies automatically
assume that vets suffer from mental illnesses, are irrational and violent, and are
uneducated and incompetent. Our government needs to establish more programs that
will benefit our soldiers such as: creating shelter homes; providing them with
therapists to help them with newly developed mental disorders; and allowing them
to gain stability by giving them more job opportunities. There are numerous reasons
as to why corporations are choosing to not hire military veterans. There are two sets
of reasons: one being the reasons that corporations tell the public and, two being
what they truly mean but will not announce freely to the public. In the article, 5
Reasons Why Employers Are Not Hiring Vets by Lisa Nagorny and Dan Pick,
student veterans at Wharton s MBA for Executives program, Nagorny and Pick

end of their study, they concluded five main reasons on why employers do not hire
veterans. Those reasons came down to being: skill translation; negative stereotypes;
skill mismatch; concern
Health Tourism
Health Tourism A Boon or Curse?
What is it?
Medical tourism (also called medical travel, health tourism or global health care) is a
term initially coined by travel agencies and themass media to describe the rapidly
growing practice of traveling across international borders to obtain health care. Such
services typically include elective procedures as well as complex specialized
surgeriessuch as joint replacement (knee/hip), cardiac surgery, dental surgery, and
cosmetic surgeries. However, virtually every type of health care, including psychiatry,
alternative treatments, convalescent care and even burial services are available. As a
practical matter, providers and customers commonly use informal channels of
communication connection contract, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, patients are finding that insurance either does not cover orthopedic
surgery (such as knee/hip replacement) or imposes unreasonable restrictions on the
choice of the facility, surgeon, or prosthetics to be used. Medical tourismfor knee/hip
replacements has emerged as one of the more widely accepted procedures because
of the lower cost and minimal difficulties associated with the traveling to/from the
surgery. Colombia provides a knee replacement for about $5,000 USD, including all
associated fees, such as FDA approved prosthetics and hospital stay over expenses.
However, many clinics quote prices that are not all inclusive and include only the
surgeon fees associated with the procedure.[7]
According to an article by the University of Delaware publication, Udaily:
The cost of surgery in India, Thailand or South Africa can be one tenth of what it is
in theUnited States or Western Europe, and sometimes even less. A heart valve
replacement that would cost $200,000 or more in the US, for example, goes for
$10,000 in India and that includes round trip airfare and a brief vacation package.
Similarly, a metal free dental bridge worth $5,500 in the US costs $500 in India, a
knee replacement in Thailand with six days of physical therapy costs about onefifth
of what it would in the States, and Lasik eye surgery worth $3,700 in the US is
available in many other countries for only $730. Cosmetic surgery savings are
Transnational History Research Paper
What is transnational history? Well transnational history, can be seen in a varying
amount of ways. It can be seen through images of the media, E.g. the broadcasting
networks which produce news, shows for the whole world. It can be seen through
novels and readings, base on subjects relating to individuals and groups. No matter
where people go there has always been an idea of transnational historywether it has
always been rectified or not.

Good And Evil In Anthony Burgess s A Clockwork Orange
The biggest battles in history is, has been, and always will be between good and
evil, but where does evil originate? Is it something inherited, or is it something
learned? Anthony Burgess attempts to answer this question in his dystopian
fiction, A Clockwork Orange. The novel, written during the Cold War, is a
reflection of Burgess s viewpoint on Communism and its overall impact on
society. Burgess was appalled at the degree to which the communist state
controlled people s lives (Galens). He felt that when a man cannot choose he ceases
to be a man (Burgess 63). Throughout the novel, Burgess tried to decide whether or
not it is better to be forced to be good or choose to be evil. A Clockwork Orange
shows that humans are inherently evil, but they have the potential to change as
demonstrated with diction, use of imagery, and character development.
Throughout the entire novel, Burgess tries to show that humans are naturally
immoral. This is demonstrated through his diction. The language in the book, Nadsat,
is a mixture between English and Russian, which allows Burgess to hide the darker
events in the book. For example, while out with his gang, Alex and his friends run
into a scholar, destroy his books, and beat him up. In regards to this Alex says, The
old veck began to make sort of chumbling shooms wuf waf wof so Georgie let go of
holding his goobers apart and just let him have one in the toothless rot with his ringy
fist, and that made the old veck start moaning a

My Counseling Goals
My first goal was to be able to use basic counseling skills within my counseling
sessions and working on learning more about creating appropriate treatment plans
on my own. I did quite a bit of reading of books, such as treatment planners and also
met with both of the Post Docs at my site to learn how they approach treatment
planning. I was able to get some good insight on how my approach may differ from
others and that this is okay. I learned that in this journey it is very important to know
what theoretical orientation you are using to think about change.
In order to measure the progress of this goal, I have worked to develop a better
understanding of the intake/interviewing process here at the PRACTICE and have

an opportunity to facilitate the Young Adult Group for a few weeks while
someone else will be on vacation next month. In order to measure the progress of
this goal, I have reviewed my group counseling textbook from last semester and
watch videos that were recommended based on Yalom s group teachings for about
one hour every two weeks thus far. I have investigated the 11 curative factors so
that I could write appropriate group formatted notes. Also, I have joined a research
project at our clinic related to individual and group tracking that will better our
clinics group program. I have worked with one of our Post Docs and my
undergraduate supervisee to explore how group outcomes and tracking can be
implemented in a clinic, such as the PRACTICE. The expected outcome was that I
would understand the process group dynamics and the 11 curative factors further. I
have done so this far and am continuing to better understand what it would mean to
track group experience in my current research project at the clinic. This also has
helped me as a counselor in training to see if what I am doing is working within the
group setting. By doing my own research I can see, which measures work best within
the group setting and
Good Vs. Evil In The Scarlet Letter By Nathaniel
Hawthorne
Themes of Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter
Nathaniel Hawthorne is an American Writer, born in the 1800s. His family has a
strong, strict puritan belief, which is why he writes about Puritanism in his stories,
and why more than half of his novels are centered around it. Nathaniel Hawthorne s
The Scarlet Letter is a story that illustrates different pieces of Puritanism. The novel
is based on it s main character, Hester Prynne, and the sin she committed before the
novel even begins. Hawthorne s novel shows how one sin can escalate into how the
person behind the sin is lost. Nathaniel Hawthorne uses his characters to develop the
themes of strength, good versus evil, and sin versus purity to create a strikingly
historical tragedy. Nathaniel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hester Prynne is considered to be evil because of the sin she committed. The
people of the town consider themselves as the good citizens of the puritan society.
Nathaniel Hawthorne uses his writing skills and tone to bring this theme to life.
Hester Prynne and Reverend Dimmesdale s act of adultery is obviously seen as
sinful in God s eyes and the puritan society, yet they are still beneficial to their
community. They suffer the consequences of the sin, Hester publicly and
Dimmesdale in secret. They continue to using their citizenship in positive ways.
Hawthorne describes Hester as a humble woman that is caring and helpful to
anyone in their society, and Dimmesdale s profession is a high level pastor in
Boston. The theme of good is represented in how everyone treats one another.
Nathaniel Hawthorne portrays evil in other characters throughout the novel. One of
the main antagonists in the novel is Roger Chillingworth. He is considered to be the
most evil person in the story because he devoted his entire life to torturing his wife s
lover for the transgression of adultery they committed. The theme of good versus evil
clashes the most on this specific topic in the
Bishop And Roethke On The Contradictions Of Perception
Date
Overwhelming Sensuousness: Bishop and Roethke on the Contradictions of
Perception My Papa s Waltz by Theodore Roethke and The Fish by Elizabeth Bishop
depict the seemingly disparate subjects of a rough, playful dance between a drunken
father and his son and a fish just pulled from the sea. Different in this way, the poems
share an intense desire to render the ambiguity of subjective experience. More
specifically, they show how embracing this ambiguity produces rich, potentially
ecstatic modes of perception. While My Papa s Waltz centers on the subjective
oscillation between what John McKenna calls love and fright; excitement and
concern, The Fish probes the dichotomy between life and death, the human and the
inhuman (38). Roethke s speaker seems to remain caught within the binary aspects
of his sensory perception, struck by its contradictory richness, but Bishop offers a
glimpse of how the oscillation gives way to epiphany, to what C.K. Doreski calls a
leap from perception to wisdom (112). By directing readers attention to the
importance of engaging subjective experience in a way that does not smooth over its
contradictory elements, both poems are able to powerfully render the heightened
modes of being that can emerge from an immersion in the sensuality of daily
existence. I will demonstrate this claim via a close examination of the poems
imagery, diction, tone, and autobiographical contexts. In order to approach the poems
on their own terms, to
Problems During The Gilded Age
The United States faced serious social problems during the late 19th century. This
time period was later named the Gilded Age because the problems seemed to be
veiled by thin coat of gold. Although the Gilded Age brought great wealth among
many and new products and technology for the middle class, it did nothing for the
poor but keep them working in dangerous conditions with low pay. Most Americans
wanted political and social reforms due to the greed in the marketplace and
corruption in politics. Most of these problems faced in the past, are problems
prevalent in todays American society. We are living in the new Gilded Age
. The
evidence that proves this statement can be found in Mark Twain and Charles

Critical Incident Analysis Paper
It is estimated that nearly 100,000 people die each year from medical errors in
hospitals, with an estimated cost of between $17 and $29 billion per year. Finding a
solution to this crisis has become a priority for every healthcare organization, with
the realization that most errors are not caused by reckless staff, but by poor systems
and processes (Institute of Medicine, 2000). Consequently, healthcare has begun to
look to outside organizations in order to find solutions, by examining industries that
are considered highly reliable, despite operating in hazardous situations. The lessons
learned by these Highly Reliable Organizations (HROs) can be used to promote safe
and reliable performance, which in turn should improve patient and staff... Show

Using variations in combinations of Boolean search terms including communication,

has been identified as useful to create arguments for this review question.
Bierly, Gallagher and Spender (2014) discuss multidisciplinary communication as
a vital part of the growth of submarine programs into high reliability systems,
providing a rich learning environment and the opportunity to receive information
from a broad range of sources. This argument is also made for the healthcare
environment by Miller, Riley and Davis (2009), Weaver et al (2013), Gillespie,
Gwinner Chaboyer and Fairweather (2013) and Okuyama, Wagner, and Bijnen
(2014). Bierly, Gallagher and Spender (2014) also identify that the structure of
communication is important, including dedicated meeting times, with committed
staff that combine individual authority into a powerful coalition, led by an
advocate for safety. This advocate is then able to direct attention to issues that
require follow up. Such briefings are recommended by McDowell and McComb
(2014), Mills, Neily and Dunn (2008) and Bowie, Pope and Lough (2007). The
issue of withholding, or non reporting of, issues is identified by Bierly, Gallagher
and Spender (2014). Bowie, Pope and Lough (2007) acknowledge that this has been
an issue with incident reporting within healthcare systems; and the benefits of full
reporting in a protected forum is advocated

Some of the key features of these components are ultra small size, low insertion loss
and high rejection. These components also ensure reliability in high power and
temperature conditions. Advantages of these components are listed below:
1.The used of copper bumps dissipates heat better than traditional interconnects. This
ensures less thermal radiations from the device.
2.The wafer level packaging ensures mechanical protection for the filters enhancing
interference reducing.
3.The dual output power mode enhances the talk time even in portable conditions.

Generally the power amplifier operated in 2 modes standby and output modes. To
increase the efficiency lowest standby mode must be used. But the sudden jump from

A Study Of Bitopological Spaces
Abstract. In 1995, A.A. Nasef and T. Noiri [6] introduced the notion of strongly
пЃў irresolute functions. In the present paper, we generalize this notion to the setting
of bitopological spaces and obtain some characterizations and properties of pairwise
strongly semi preirresolute functions.
AMS Mathematics Subject Classifications (2010): 54E55, 54A05, 54C10, 54D05.
Key words and phrases: semi preopen, (i, j) semi preopen, semi preirresolute,
pairwise strongly semi preirresolute.
1. Introduction and preliminaries
The study of bitopological spaces was initiated by Kelly [4] in 1963. Abd ElMonsef
et al. [1] introduced the notion of
пЃў open sets and
пЃў continuity in topological spaces. On the other hand, Andrijevic [2] called
пЃў open sets semipreopen and obtained many properties of such subsets. Recently,
Khedr et al. [5] have investigated the notions of semi preopen sets and semi
precontinuity in bitopological spaces. In 1995, Nasef and Noiri [6] defined and
studied the concept of strongly
пЃў irresolute functions. The purpose of the present paper is to extend the concept of
strongly пЃў irresoluteness to the setting of bitopological spaces.
Throughout the present paper, (X, пЃґ1, пЃґ2) and (Y, 1, 2) always mean
bitopological spaces. For a subset A of a space X, пЃґi c1(A) (resp. пЃґi int(A))
denotes the closure (resp. interior) of A with respect to пЃґi

пЃґi int(A) are briefly denoted by c1i(A) and inti(A), respectively, if there is no

Outdoor Sports Is An Integral Part Of Our Culture
Among the many things that Americans enjoy, basketball has always been an
integral part of our culture. I picked up the game when I was in the first grade and
still find myself playing it whenever I get the chance. Nowadays, there seems to be
a lack of parks and such for people to go to and have some fun with others.
Streetball has made its own culture and kids grow up idolizing older players that are
out on the courts making the gamelook so enjoyable. With that being said, it is in my
firm belief that outdoor basketballcourts are an essential part of communities and
need to be given more attention because they are great places for kids to go and play
and stay out of trouble while being in touch with their surroundings. There is... Show

Most players began playing basketball as compared to other sports because it was
easily accessible and relatively cheap with basically everything provided when
going to a local court. I was not surprised to find that one of my favorite basketball
players of all time was a streetballer. He was a troublemaker, and was previously
sentenced to serve fifteen years in prison but managed to turn himself around with
the game of basketball. Allen Iverson spent his days at the park working on his
lethal crossover that would one day even make Michael Jordan look silly. Those
days spent at the court led him to a full scholarship to attend Georgetown, in which
he later entered the NBA Draft after his sophomore year, and ended up being
selected first overall by the Philadelphia 76ers. Not only did Allen Iverson change
the NBA because of streetball. There is also Stephon Marbury, Jason White
Chocolate Williams, and Jamal Crawford (Walter). They all are scrappy and flashy
players which helped bring some toughness and excitement back to the NBA. If it
were not for the parks out there allowing these players to pick up the game, they
may have went a different way in life and been stuck in their slums. A twenty dollar
basketball and a place for them to go and use it got them to the point where they are
making a career out of it. Given those previous players making a name for themselves
on the courts, why
Classical Conditioning
One of the first methods of describing a phobia was classical conditioning, most
famously known by Pavlov s dog experiment. In that study, dogs were trained to
correlate a light with the coming of food. When they say the light come on, their
salivary glands began to salivate, indicating that the dog was waiting and thinking
about the food that he knew would

appear shortly. But this study did not train the dogs to fear the light, like some others
do. For example, if every time a rat is presented with a low buzzing noise, it is
electrically shocked, eventually, when it hears the noise alone (with no shock), it will
exhibit symptoms of fear. (8)
These kinds of studies used to make scientist think that a phobia came from and event
that happened in one s past, but this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, some people who have Aerophobia, the fear of flying, have never
been on a plane, so there would be no way for them to have a scarring experience
with one. Other theories believe that phobias originate from an evolutionary need to
avoid danger and survive.
As scientist Martin Seligman put it, people may be inherently prepared to learn
certain phobias. Those who avoided obvious danger, such as snakes, heights,
lightning, or disease, most likely survived the longest, and the others died off. Some
scientists, such as LeDoux, believe that preparedness and the ease of conditioning are
the result of certain preexisting neurological connections that exist evolutionarily.
(12) Wild rhesus monkeys fear snakes while domestic rhesus, unless conditioned, do
not. In the experiment, domestic rhesus monkeys are shown a video in which peers
respond fearfully to both snakes (fear relevant stimuli) and flowers
(neutral stimuli). When exposed to the two stimuli, the monkeys all exhibited a fear
response to snakes but not to flowers. (12) This shows that there must have been a
preexistent link in the brains of the monkeys. A phobia is clinically defined as and
irrational fear, but these kinds
Correlation Between Music and IQ in Children Essay
1. Introduction
This project investigates the effect which the playing of a musical instrument namely
the drums has on one s intelligence and academic ability. A search of the literature
reveals that studies of this kind have been conducted by other researchers in many
parts of the world and has led to the conclusion that music is an extremely healthy
activity to be involved in.
A study conducted on school children in America concluded that children who took

The aim of this study is to ascertain whether learning to play the drums increases one
s IQ score or not. Will learners who take daily drum lessons for two weeks improve
their intelligence by improving their memories and having their brains stimulated?
2.Review of Literature
A number of studies showing the relationship between the playing of musical
instruments and IQ development are discussed below. A few studies on the effect of
drum lessons on brain development are also considered.
2.1 Correlation between Music and IQ in children
In Canada, Schellenberg conducted a study on school children and college students
and concluded that those who took voice or piano lessons had higher IQ s at the
end of the year than those who did not (Munsey, 2006). Schellenberg also studied
whether the effect of an increase in IQ would continue to improve with more than a
year s lessons and his most recent work has proven that this is in fact the case. The
study found that young adults who had taken music lessons in childhood did have
higher IQ s and better high school grades than people who didn t. He concluded that
college students who had played a musical instrument regularly as children were two
points ahead in IQ compared to their
Elisa In The Chrysanthemums By John Steinbeck
In John Steinbeck s The Chrysanthemums, we are introduced to Elisa, an
intelligent, talented woman living on a ranch in the Salinas Valley with her
husband. She is thirty five years old with no children and no real human
interaction with anyone other than her husband, who is mostly dismissive of her in
all matters other than her gardening. The ranch is located in a remote area of the
Salinas Valley with no real neighbors to speak of. The story mostly consists of Elisa
s encounter with a traveling tinker man in search of work repairing kitchen utensils
and blades of all sorts. The encounter with the tinker man brings out a side of Elisa
that contradicts her everyday androgynous appearance and brings her desire to be
noticed as a womanto the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While working in her garden, the covered wagon of a traveling tinker man pulls
onto the ranch property. At first, Elisa stands her ground and refuses the man s
offers. After some observation, the tinker man realizes that there is a way to
connive his way into her world. He starts to talk with her about her gardening.
When he mentions her chrysanthemums, he has her full attention. He uses flattery
to engage her in conversation regarding something about which she is passionate.
She gets involved in describing the feeling with which she tends to her flowers and
begins to feel like someone in whom another man might be interested. She has
gone so long with no real interest from her husband and here is this man who
seems genuinely interested in what she does. He feigns an interest in the flowers
and even convinces her that he has a customer who would love to be able to grow
chrysanthemums as spectacular as hers. She loses herself in her description of how
to care for these flowers and, as a reader, one can sense the substitution these
flowers represent for the children that she does not have in her life. She gives this
man some of her sprouts to deliver to his customer and instructs him to tell the
alleged customer how to care for them. After this interaction, she feels renewed as a
woman. She has opened herself to feel desire and
The Effect Of Explicit Lexical Elaboration On Second...
Several researchers in the area of input modification have examined the effect of this
technique on second language learner s comprehension (Oh, 2001; Brewer, 2008;
Maxwell, 2011) and others investigate its effect not only on comprehension but also
on vocabulary learning (Urano, 2000; Kim, 1996). Some studies showed that there
was no significant difference in learning second language vocabularies between using
readingelaborated text with unmodified texts (Chung, 1995; Kim; 1996; Silvia, 2000).
Mosavi (2014) investigate the effect of explicit lexical elaboration on second
language vocabulary learning in writing of 70 Iranian learners. Learners were
randomly divided into two groups, both groups had the same reading text but for
elaborated version target words had its synonyms or definitions right after them, for
example, X has the same meaning as Y, which can be named as the most explicit
elaboration device. A time limit was conducted for learners to read the text, in the
elaborated group, learners were asked to pay attention to the target form while
reading. When they finished the reading process they had to answer the reading
comprehension questions and after that write a paragraph with the same topic with
the reading comprehension text. This writing considers as the post test which
learners do not have the permission for using dictionaries, peer help or teacher
guidance. They just had the topic familiarity. The results of this study revealed that if

Prescription Drug Abuse
One in three Americans are prescribed opioids from their doctor. Once someone is
prescribed a medication and take it daily, as told to do so by the doctor, it is
extremely easy to become dependent on the pills. Dependency on a drug means
that the body physically craves it and may experience withdrawals when the
prescription is stopped. Addiction characterizes as a mental need for the drug. The
behavior changes and abusing the medication will begin. Almost half of all
Americans know someone addicted to the pain pills they are prescribed to. Heather
VanderSloot knows the thoughts an addict has because four years ago she was an

well as the Arab boys wear stylish Western clothes. And even students with more
conservative dresses seem more Western than Eastern. No matter how young Arab

However, Kesserwani strongly believes that Arabizi might have severe cultural and
linguistic consequences (Salhani, 2013). Education System and Language
The impact of Arab s over reliance on English based technology has affected many
other critical aspects of Arab society. As Warschauer explained throughout his book,
university level courses that are taught in English are expanding nowadays to further
include other linguistic courses such as Arabic. Consequently, parents are forced to
register their children in English based schools so they can afford a good job in the
future and maintain a high status in society (2002). However, this desire for upward
social mobility has led to cultural linguistic dualism (Findlow, 2006). Therefore, Arab
youth can speak, interact and even live with a linguistic mixture of Arabic and
English. However, this phenomenon can lead us to recognize these dramatic concepts
language death , language loss , language decay and even linguistic genocide , which
convey the increasing concerns about the future of the Arabic language (Findlow,
2006).
Education has a critical role to play in the discourse of how the Arabic language is
rapidly disappearing from new generations lives and heavily displaced by English.
Schools nowadays in the Middle East adopt English as the major language of
teaching and as a consequence they are teaching Arabic to Arab students as a foreign
language:
In Depth Analysis Of Emicho And His Crusaders
The first crusade started in 1096 B.C. when Pope Urban II called for the for a holy
war. This was the beginning of the first crusade. What originally was supposed to
be the taking back of Jerusalem led to the death of thousands of Jewish people.
This with previous persecution of the Jews, by Christians, led to even more
persecution of Jews. Pope Urban II called for a holy war in 1095. Urban wanted
the Christians to take over the holy city of Jerusalem. He also said the Islamic
people committed crimes against Christendom. When he called for this crusade he
expected to have trained soldiers partake in the war and taking over of Jerusalem.
What he didn t expect were thousands of untrained peasants, but that s what he got.

Women In Renaissance Italy
In Renaissance Italy a woman s personal identity wasn t of any great importance.
Her worth in society was calculated on how well she fit into the ideological image of
the Renaissance woman. Women depicted in art were from the upper class and
nobility, these women were confined to their domestic duties as their unions were to
further the fortunes of their families. The rise of humanism in RenaissanceItaly lead
to an enlightened sense of the importance of individualism; however the belief failed
to extend to women. The impact of Humanism in female portraiture showing the sitter
as a fully realised person with intellect, talents, and personality is frustratingly absent
with few works displaying a grasp on the humanity of their female subjects.... Show

the other hand, symbolises corruption, immorality, disobedience to wifely duties and
defiance to God. Poetry written by the fourteenth century writer Petrarch described
the ideal woman and her beauty: the ideal woman had blonde hair, a high forehead,
pale skin, and a long neck. She was to be educated but only to provide
conversational fodder for the entertainment of men. She was to be devoted to God
and to her husband. This ideal heavily influenced the way in which women were

Integrated Approach In Early Childhood
Early childhood classrooms serve as the environment for young children to learn and
develop. In order to effectively facility students learning a teacher must have well
organized, evidence based, exciting, teaching strategies and approaches. One effective
approach teacher can utilize is integrated curriculum approach. An integrated
approach allows students to engage in purposeful, relevant learning. Integrated
learning encourages students to see connections and relationships between
curriculum areas. Rather than focusing on learning in an isolated curriculum area,
an integrated program is based on skill development around a particular theme that
is relevant to the children in the class. Mrs. Gonzalez s 3k through 3rd grade
Spanish class is a great example of a well organized integrated approach. Through
my observation of Mrs. Gonzalez s Spanish class I was able to comprehend the
impact an integrated approach can have on students learning and development.

range of contexts both social and educational. Effective ... Show more content on

Gonzalez s integrated Spanish curriculum is a great idea for her young students
because each student becomes more engaged in different activities that combine
different skills. As the students sing different Spanish songs Mrs. Gonzalez layers
rhythm, which is math, then the melody, which is music, and the lyrics, which is the
new language of Spanish, then she adds some fun dance moves, for a layer physical
development. This type of learning is more meaningful for the children as each one
feels positive about their accomplishment in the scheme of the overall lesson. Mrs.
Gonzalez s Spanish class is a balanced learning approach that is fun. She keeps her
students interested and focused on learning Spanish. In Mrs. Gonzalez s integrated
Spanish class the kids feel knowledgeable enough about Spanish to answer simple
questions, which make them feel important and
The Pros And Cons Of Political Polarization
With increasing political polarization sweeping over America, we now are seeing a
decrease in effective political discussion. Solutions to America s problems are no
longer up for debate, but decided strictly on voters party ideology. With this being
said, how should the voice of the people be properly represented, and not silenced?
Specifically, how should members of Congress navigate political polarization, and
successfully represent all of their constituents? One lackluster answer to this
question has been exhibited by some members of Congress those shall stay
nameless have decided that they cannot please everyone and therefore have only
focused on appeasing their base. Their lack of town halls, lack of listening, and the

It s important to me, to give everyone a seat at the table regardless if someone is
agrees with me or not. It was shown during the town hall as constituents gave their
heartfelt personal stories that Congressman Taylor was intently listening. This is an
essential skill as Congressman Taylor understands that people come from all
different backgrounds, experiences, different races, and socio economic
experiences. Beck backs this up, To resolve contradictory effects of political
disagreement on deliberation and participation, we go back to a very simple but
important fact of political discussions: citizens do not begin a political discussion as
blank slates(Beck, Dalton, Greene, Huckfeldt, 2002; Mutz Martin, 2001). Members
like Congressman Taylor do not feel that people who disagree with them are a waste
of time, but they see these unique people as teachers, who can teach members of
congress who their constituents actually
Analysis Of The Next Exhibit Planned For The Museum
In accordance with the board meeting s decision, the next exhibit planned for the
museum will be focused around the struggles faced by civilians on the southern home
front during the American Civil War. Although controversial due to recent events
surrounding Confederate symbolism in America, the focus of the exhibit will be
unique and powerful in its depiction of the conflicts surrounding daily life. When
speaking of war, the common man is pushed to the side in favor of the glory of battle
and the stories of the citizens are left unsaid. With the Union victory over the
Confederacy, the experiences of those living within the South were devalued in
comparison to their northern counterparts. Many museums and articles exist that
explore life in the North, but only a handful have been done for those of the
Confederacy. The exhibit s goal will be to showcase these untold experiences through
the objects left behind by those who lived under the northern siege. Five objects were
chosen as the centerpiece of the exhibit and to demonstrate four main hardships that
southern civilians lived through. A photograph of the ruins of Richmond, Virginia
and a sketch of the bombardment of Petersburg, Virginia speak of how the threat of
death was a constant companion for those living in the South. The serious shortages
of commodities along with the rampant inflation plaguing the Southern economy are
illustrated by an almanac printed during the siege of Vicksburg, Mississippi and a

Essay On Old South Medicine
Medicine and Diseases Diseases in the late 1800s were on the rise, however, doctors
and doctoral schools were not. Since there were very few physicians in this time,
black and white men and women were often left to treat illnesses, bring new life into
the world, and handle medical emergencies (Plantation Medicineand HealthCare in
the Old South). People relied on self help manuals a lot of the time to hopefully give
them the insight they needed for the specific disease or illnessthey had or were
treating. This was not very effective because the people with the diseases were not
getting proper care and there was a lack of sanitary facilities that could be used. The
Old South only had 5 medical schools by 1845, and medical students only studied
for one to two years on their medical training (Plantation Medicine and Health Care
in the Old South). Because of the lack of physicians, there were more patients in the...

To protect against diseases West African slaves wore necklaces of wild liquorice
seeds and captains used native roots to treat fevers that could wipe out their human
cargo (Slave Medicine). Many physicians and ordinary people would use prayer
and herbs as a way to treat the patient. They thought that healing plants were a gift
from god, so they would pray to him as a thanks for the remedy. Slaves used many
of the plants used by the community of their white owners: snakeroot, mayapple, red
pepper, boneset, pine needles, comfrey, and red oak bark, to name a few (Slave
Medicine). Being that there were almost no doctors or physicians, the wounded
needed people to find other things that could potentially work, they used so much
more than what is listed. Medical conditions such as tuberculosis, diphtheria,
whooping cough, yellow fever, malaria, worms, yaws (an infection of the skin,
bones, and joints), and cholera were all diseases that they had at this
Self-Efficacy And Social Learning Theory
Social Learning Theory emphasises the principles of learning through the
observation of others, this is where the concept of self efficacy is derived from.
Defined by Bandura (1977), self efficacy is the belief in ones capabilities to organise
and execute the courses of action required to produce given attainments . Simply put,
self efficacyis how an individual perceives their control over their own ability to
complete behaviours and reach goals set. The belief that a behaviour will lead to a
particular outcome, known as outcome expectancies is important in determining
behaviour, incorporating self efficacy and ones beliefs that they are capable of
reaching goals.
At the present time there is a vast number of health related problems facing the
current generation, possibly receiving the most media attention is the obesity
epidemic, caused by lack of physical activity and unhealthy diets, vast evidence has
been presented showing that self efficacy is a reliable predictor of many health
related behaviours, including healthy eating, safer sexual behaviour and smoking
(Luszczynska Schwarzer, 2005). Self efficacy has been shown to be a reliable
predictor of changes in many health related behaviours (Luszczynska Schwarzer,
2005), fortunately self efficacy can be changed, in turn influencing the behaviour.
Due to self efficacy being highly situation dependent, i.e. a person could have high
self efficacy in the view of their ability to stop smoking, while self efficacy towards
Chauntecleer And The Motif Of Dreams In The Canterbury
Tales
Throughout Medieval literature, the motif of dreams pops up relatively
frequently, and as a central part of the story. In The Canterbury Tales, specifically
The Nun s Priest s Tale, Chauntecleer experiences a prophetic dream, warning him
of the fox that will eventually try to attack him. In Malory s Morte Darthur, King
Arthur also sees two prophetic dreams the night before his battle with his
illegitimate son Mordred. These illusions of the mind persuade Arthur enough to
call for a treatise the following day, which ends up backfiring and leading to his
demise. Specifically in the first of the two dreams, allusions and symbolic imagery
create the looming sense of urgency for Arthur to take action in order to prevent
what ends up being the inevitable. This dissonance between the supposed prophecy
of the dreams and the actual turn of events backs up the Medieval question of the
validity of dreams such as these. As seen in the debate between Chauntecleer and
Pertelote within The Nun s Priest s Tale, Medieval academics would debate the
science of dreams : what they mean and why they happen. Malory s work also poses
these questions through this key scene before the grand ending, painting an air of
ominousness but also inquisition on whether Gawain s ghost s predictions will come
true.
Homelessness In Untouchables By Jonathan Kozol
When you see the homeless what do you think about? Do you see them and feel
disgust or are you someone who wonders how and why they are where they are, or
maybe, you are one of the few who want to help and who are able to. In the U.S.,
more than 3.5 million people experience homelessness each year and that number is
growing. They are families with little children, people who are trying to escape
domestic violence, people with mental illness, veterans who have served our country,
and many more. From what I read in Jonathan Kozol s Untouchables city officials in
various places are only coming up with short termsolutions, that aren t helping the
homeless. City officials are just trying to get rid of the homeless from their cities
or area. I think it s time that more individuals and groups, really gets involved and
figure out a way to help those who are already homeless, and stop future people
from becoming homeless. We have to come up with ways to help the homeless
readjust and get back into the world. The first thing we as people need to do, is
really educate other younger and older people on the homeless. People don t have a
clear insight into who homeless people are. For example, I went and asked several
young kids in my neighborhood who they think the homeless are and for the most
part they said they are drug addicts and people who just don t want to live within
society. People have so many misconceptions about homeless people they judge them
so harshly. Yeah,

  • 2. Descriptive Essay On The Storm The sky is alive, rain crashes furiously to the ground. Trees topple, lightning shatters the sky, thunder shakes the ground. Two travelers from two worlds watch the storm only long enough to know it is a monsoon worthy of legends. Ashely had gone camping only this morning under clear skies and tamed weather. She is a lover of the wild, mostly for the quiet. She plans every three or so months to spend a week living off the land. She is young and her skills as a hunter are not yet refined. But you don t need to trap and kill your own food when there are places like Midnight Market where you can pick up all the oatmeal and sun dried grapes one can eat for barely more than pocket change. Ashley has been doing this ever since she was in her early teens. She had noticed when she was thirteen that her sent had a powerful effect on other foxes, and in exponentially greater one if she happened to be in estrus. So she mapped out her heat cycle and made the arrangements to always be out of town when her heat hit. In the seven years now Ashley has done this she has seen the strange, and the unsettling out in the woods, but never has she seen rain so harshly that the rain burns the skin and darkens one s vision. Her clothes are soaked through in moments and her backpack saturates, her hunting coat offers her no protection for the vengeful storm. There is only one thing Ashley can think to do. Maybe 2 summers ago Ashley had discovered a natural cave only a mile or so from her camp

  • 7. Vasco Da Gama, Ferdinand Magellan And Hernan Cortes Throughout the fifteenth and sixteenth century, Europeans widened their views on exploration. They ventured out into unknown territories and countries that have never before seen a person from Europe. These explorers would search the world, mainly looking for new people to convert to Christianity or for wealth and riches. Countries such as Portugal, Spain, and England all developed ways to gain wealth through travel, whether it be sending people to explore and hopefully find valuables, or expanding economic theories. People such as Vasco da Gama, Ferdinand Magellan, and Hernan Cortes, along with the idea of mercantilism, attempted to gain wealth through exploration. Vasco da Gama, a Portuguese explorer, tried to gain wealth by venturing to India. The king had asked da Gama to find a route to India that was easy to access. Vasco da Gama left for India on July 8, 1497, and reached India for the first time on May 20, 1498 (Biography.com). When he arrived at India for the second time, Portugal was able to set up trading posts and gain more money, all because he had made the journey overseas. • 9. What Caused The Crusades Dbq Analysis How Desire for Personal Gain Caused the Crusades With total autonomy to kill and plunder as they please alongside a godly, miracle like victory in their first ever attempt in a series of holy wars, the Crusades stand out as a key point in the history of both Christianity and the medieval world as a whole. It is undeniable that religious devotion played a factor in the Crusades; in an era where Europe was a land of chaotic violence, a quick chance to absolve oneself from any sin was immensely appealing. Yet from the wars very origin to their ways of recruiting and actions on the battlefield, this apparent devotion that is the heart of the Crusades is repetitively contradicted. The holy wars would never have reached the height they did or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though it was not their key goal, protecting the Christian people, monuments, etc. still was something the Crusaders stuck by. Yet, as the wars continued, faith seemed to be ever more forgotten than it was when they first prioritized material gain. Mesarites, a church official in Constantinople recounts their takeover in the Fourth Crusade. As the proclaimed protectors of Christianity invaded, their actions seemed driven by a brutal desire to simply take; whether that be gold ornaments or lives. The church official describes the Crusaders as barking like Cerberus and exhaling like Charon (Document 6). These comparisons to the creatures of Greece s underworld are something you d expect to hear about the Muslim Turks, their original enemies . In this holy city, seemingly precious to Christians Orthodox or not the Crusaders actions are again something expected of some other warring faith. Whether it was trampling divine buildings and artifacts, killing without care, raping women, or tearing children away from their parents, it was clear that the Crusaders were maddened by war and murderous in spirit [...] fearing neither God s anger or man s vengeance (Document 6). Even if some had started waging in the holy wars out of pure religious devotion to God, by now the thrill of war had overtaken even the most God fearing

It also being highly accepted in nowadays society. Furthermore, EDM had been widely used in many singer songs, for instance, Not today , a song from a Korea s boy band, also a famous song let me love you , which made by both DJ Snake and Jutin Bieber. In the ancient time, there s no instrument , people knocked desks, bowls, bows as the beats for their songs. With time elapsing, instrument been created, and defined as instrument. Let s say instrument is a thing which give people beats and complete the song. As well as electronic device also can give people beats and complete songs, electronic dance music can also be a music. I had read a article about whether EDM can be a genre music. In this article, author mentioned a important idea that who or which group of people can decided the genre of music. In my opinion, no one can decided it. Music is a thing about emotion, everyone have different emotion. We can t say somebody s emotion is wrong. The things is, when we heard a song, a group of people may have the same felling about it, they may like it and become fans, they may not like it, then just skip it and find another song they like. We have no right to deny someone s

A local Chinese company provides Riordan with the units and while the company tries to maintain enough of the electric motors in stock, its on time deliveries over in the past year have averaged only 93% (Riordan Manufacturing, 2013). The short Cummings of the third party are affecting the delivery rates and customer satisfaction. Metric two that should be considered is the shipping cost to the consumer and the manufacturer. According to the Riordan supply chain report orders of electric fans can be either picked up at the China plant by the customers themselves or else they can be shipped to the customers anywhere in China. The China Plant uses a Chinese shipping company that offers services comparable to FedEx, but is less expensive. Orders are also shipped internationally by either FedEx or a Chinese shipping company that competes with FedEx. Two shipping companies are used by the China Plant for international shipments to assure that timely delivery services will always be available. The services both shippers offer are very similar and their shipping charges are competitive (Riordan Manufacturing, 2013). Streamlining shipping options and contractually investing in one shipping provider might decrease the amount of money spent in shipping causing profits to increase. • 12. Disobedience In Paradise Lost Have you ever seen a big red button that says do not push and then pushed it? We have all been there; it was just too tempting to not push it, right? In John Milton s Paradise Lost, mankind presses that big red button. Through Adam and Eve s free will to eat from the Tree of Knowledge, they fall from Paradise. It is not like God did not warn the pair; he made it abundantly clear that their one rule was to not eat from the tree. God, being omniscient, knows that they will fall, but makes their choice of disobedience an easy decision. Although God foresees the expulsion of Adam and Evefrom the garden, they have free will and fall on their own; however, God makes it too easy for Satan to succeed. God lets mankind fail through their own choices. At the start of the epic, Milton asserts that Paradise Lostwill display Man s first disobedience (1.1). Right from the get go, Milton claims that the fall is mankind s fault, so we know that Man must have made their ill fated decision on their own free will. Jumping forward to Book Three, God discusses the future of mankind with the Son. Being all knowing, God can see the choice Adam and Eve will make: Man will hearken to [Satan s] glozing lies... [and] will fall (3.93 95). Despite knowing what is to come for the pair, God recognizes that mankind s fall is a result of their own choices. God could have easily intervened and made the right choice for them, but he wants Adam and Eve to have the free will to make their own choices. In

In modern times, and arguably more so in Ancient Greece, sports must be viewed as the intersection of many eclectic parts of society. While running an athletic event on this scale, we can break the planning chronologically into three main categories that will determine success: attracting an audience, the actual logistics of the game, and judging and the distribution of prizes. Each of these topics has many facets which must all be taken into consideration for our games to successfully attract people and sustain the popularity of the sanctuary and its God. Attracting large audiences is the crux of putting on a successful games. To do this, we must acknowledge one very crucial fact about sports in Ancient Greece it is a result of, maybe even an extension of, religion. Therefore, if we are to host a successful event, we must first create a strong religious element to our sanctuary. For this I would suggest the creation of an oracle at our sanctuary. Oracles, such as the Pythia at Delphi, provide a steady influx of people while also increasing the popularity of the God with each prophecy (Jones). This will feed directly into the popularity of our event. Religious fervor could be further augmented by the creation of a large monument of some kind. Just like the gold and ivory statue of Zeus at Olympia which drew in large crowds, our idol would serve as an

Essay Mapping The Violence in Colombia Mapping The Violence in Colombia The peace researcher Johan Galtung proposes a typology of violence, constructed as direct and indirect, formal informal and visible invisible. Regarding it as a triangle, Galtung (1990) states that typology of violence corresponds roughly to the ABC levels of the conflict triangle: Attitude, Behaviour and Contradictions. In the first level Direct violence (acts of violence as such) and in second and third level underneath the surface; Structural violence and Cultural violence. See figure below. The Structural Violence concept by Galtung (1969) asserts that the structure and culture in societies are a central facet on the explanation of violence; thus, human beings are being influenced so that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, to define violence is a highly intricate process that has taken many decades for social researchers. Violence is understood differently in the cities than the countryside, in the north and south, and in places directly affected by conflict (see appendix 1). In general terms, the characteristics that intersect the general violent map in the whole country can be summed up in four types; structural, institutional, cultural and interpersonal. Violence and survival are another two elements to analyse, as citizens have created mechanisms of co existence with violence by fitting the rules of paramilitary, guerrilla, drug cartels besides the government structural norms. Therefore, these power agents in the country condition the behaviour of the population living in the middle of the war. Depicting its reality, TV, soap operas, cinema, journalism, news and literature illustrate violence as a part of their life where many rough stories are told and some are still happening. The vox populi says that everyone in Colombia has been exposed to a violent incident either that has happened to them or somebody close. Driving a vehicle is a very complex activity that demands proper decision making, total concentration, good co ordination and rapid reflexes. In order to drive safely, it is essential to be alert, aware and able to make quick decisions in response to a constant rapidly changing environment. Alcohol alters the ability of the brain and body to function normally. It interferes with even the most experienced driver s ability to drive safely. When alcohol is consumed, many of the required skills to drive safely such as judgment, concentration, comprehension, coordination, visual acuity, and reaction time become impaired. (Anelli Xavier, 2013) The severity of alcohol induced impairment on driving depends on the amount of alcohol present in the bloodstream, this is based on a person s blood alcohol concentration (BAC) percentage. People begin to feel the effects of alcohol when their BAC ranges between 0.03% and 0.059%. (2014 Motor Accident Commission South Australia) Drink driving is a factor in about 18 per cent of all fatal crashes in NSW. On the whole, people who remove the excess fats and proteins found in meat and dairy are healthier, and often more physically fit. While the human body does require fat and protein to function correctly, the amounts are negligible compared to the levels of both that we generally ingest daily. It is well understood that too much fat in the human diet can be unhealthy, and eventually deadly. No one, however, ever thinks that we may be eating too much protein. On a daily basis, a normal human male only requires 50 grams of protein. To put it in perspective, a small hamburger patty inherently has 25 grams of protein in it. So that one double cheeseburger you ate today actually has all of the protein you need for an entire 24 hours. Companies automatically assume that vets suffer from mental illnesses, are irrational and violent, and are uneducated and incompetent. Our government needs to establish more programs that will benefit our soldiers such as: creating shelter homes; providing them with therapists to help them with newly developed mental disorders; and allowing them to gain stability by giving them more job opportunities. There are numerous reasons as to why corporations are choosing to not hire military veterans. There are two sets of reasons: one being the reasons that corporations tell the public and, two being what they truly mean but will not announce freely to the public. Is it something inherited, or is it something learned? Anthony Burgess attempts to answer this question in his dystopian fiction, A Clockwork Orange. The novel, written during the Cold War, is a reflection of Burgess s viewpoint on Communism and its overall impact on society. Burgess was appalled at the degree to which the communist state controlled people s lives (Galens). He felt that when a man cannot choose he ceases to be a man (Burgess 63). Throughout the novel, Burgess tried to decide whether or not it is better to be forced to be good or choose to be evil. A Clockwork Orange shows that humans are inherently evil, but they have the potential to change as demonstrated with diction, use of imagery, and character development. Throughout the entire novel, Burgess tries to show that humans are naturally immoral. This is demonstrated through his diction. The language in the book, Nadsat, is a mixture between English and Russian, which allows Burgess to hide the darker events in the book. Bishop And Roethke On The Contradictions Of Perception Date Overwhelming Sensuousness: Bishop and Roethke on the Contradictions of Perception My Papa s Waltz by Theodore Roethke and The Fish by Elizabeth Bishop depict the seemingly disparate subjects of a rough, playful dance between a drunken father and his son and a fish just pulled from the sea. Different in this way, the poems share an intense desire to render the ambiguity of subjective experience. More specifically, they show how embracing this ambiguity produces rich, potentially ecstatic modes of perception. While My Papa s Waltz centers on the subjective oscillation between what John McKenna calls love and fright; excitement and concern, The Fish probes the dichotomy between life and death, the human and the inhuman (38). Roethke s speaker seems to remain caught within the binary aspects of his sensory perception, struck by its contradictory richness, but Bishop offers a glimpse of how the oscillation gives way to epiphany, to what C.K. Doreski calls a leap from perception to wisdom (112). By directing readers attention to the importance of engaging subjective experience in a way that does not smooth over its contradictory elements, both poems are able to powerfully render the heightened modes of being that can emerge from an immersion in the sensuality of daily existence. I will demonstrate this claim via a close examination of the poems imagery, diction, tone, and autobiographical contexts. In order to approach the poems on their own terms, to

  • 36. Critical Incident Analysis Paper It is estimated that nearly 100,000 people die each year from medical errors in hospitals, with an estimated cost of between $17 and $29 billion per year. Finding a solution to this crisis has become a priority for every healthcare organization, with the realization that most errors are not caused by reckless staff, but by poor systems and processes (Institute of Medicine, 2000). Consequently, healthcare has begun to look to outside organizations in order to find solutions, by examining industries that are considered highly reliable, despite operating in hazardous situations. The lessons learned by these Highly Reliable Organizations (HROs) can be used to promote safe and reliable performance, which in turn should improve patient and staff... Bierly, Gallagher and Spender (2014) discuss multidisciplinary communication as a vital part of the growth of submarine programs into high reliability systems, providing a rich learning environment and the opportunity to receive information from a broad range of sources. This argument is also made for the healthcare environment by Miller, Riley and Davis (2009), Weaver et al (2013), Gillespie, Gwinner Chaboyer and Fairweather (2013) and Okuyama, Wagner, and Bijnen (2014). Bierly, Gallagher and Spender (2014) also identify that the structure of communication is important, including dedicated meeting times, with committed staff that combine individual authority into a powerful coalition, led by an advocate for safety. This advocate is then able to direct attention to issues that require follow up. Such briefings are recommended by McDowell and McComb (2014), Mills, Neily and Dunn (2008) and Bowie, Pope and Lough (2007). The issue of withholding, or non reporting of, issues is identified by Bierly, Gallagher and Spender (2014). Bowie, Pope and Lough (2007) acknowledge that this has been an issue with incident reporting within healthcare systems; and the benefits of full reporting in a protected forum is advocated

In the present paper, we generalize this notion to the setting of bitopological spaces and obtain some characterizations and properties of pairwise strongly semi preirresolute functions. AMS Mathematics Subject Classifications (2010): 54E55, 54A05, 54C10, 54D05. Key words and phrases: semi preopen, (i, j) semi preopen, semi preirresolute, pairwise strongly semi preirresolute. 1. Introduction and preliminaries The study of bitopological spaces was initiated by Kelly [4] in 1963. Abd ElMonsef et al. [1] introduced the notion of пЃў open sets and пЃў continuity in topological spaces. On the other hand, Andrijevic [2] called пЃў open sets semipreopen and obtained many properties of such subsets. Recently, Khedr et al. [5] have investigated the notions of semi preopen sets and semi precontinuity in bitopological spaces. In 1995, Nasef and Noiri [6] defined and studied the concept of strongly пЃў irresolute functions. The purpose of the present paper is to extend the concept of strongly пЃў irresoluteness to the setting of bitopological spaces. I was not surprised to find that one of my favorite basketball players of all time was a streetballer. He was a troublemaker, and was previously sentenced to serve fifteen years in prison but managed to turn himself around with the game of basketball. Allen Iverson spent his days at the park working on his lethal crossover that would one day even make Michael Jordan look silly. Those days spent at the court led him to a full scholarship to attend Georgetown, in which he later entered the NBA Draft after his sophomore year, and ended up being selected first overall by the Philadelphia 76ers. Not only did Allen Iverson change the NBA because of streetball. There is also Stephon Marbury, Jason White Chocolate Williams, and Jamal Crawford (Walter). They all are scrappy and flashy players which helped bring some toughness and excitement back to the NBA. If it were not for the parks out there allowing these players to pick up the game, they may have went a different way in life and been stuck in their slums. A twenty dollar basketball and a place for them to go and use it got them to the point where they are making a career out of it. In that study, dogs were trained to correlate a light with the coming of food. When they say the light come on, their salivary glands began to salivate, indicating that the dog was waiting and thinking about the food that he knew would 1 appear shortly. But this study did not train the dogs to fear the light, like some others do. For example, if every time a rat is presented with a low buzzing noise, it is electrically shocked, eventually, when it hears the noise alone (with no shock), it will exhibit symptoms of fear. Other theories believe that phobias originate from an evolutionary need to avoid danger and survive. As scientist Martin Seligman put it, people may be inherently prepared to learn certain phobias. Those who avoided obvious danger, such as snakes, heights, lightning, or disease, most likely survived the longest, and the others died off. Some scientists, such as LeDoux, believe that preparedness and the ease of conditioning are the result of certain preexisting neurological connections that exist evolutionarily. (12) Wild rhesus monkeys fear snakes while domestic rhesus, unless conditioned, do not. In the experiment, domestic rhesus monkeys are shown a video in which peers respond fearfully to both snakes (fear relevant stimuli) and flowers (neutral stimuli). When exposed to the two stimuli, the monkeys all exhibited a fear response to snakes but not to flowers. (12) This shows that there must have been a preexistent link in the brains of the monkeys. As Warschauer explained throughout his book, university level courses that are taught in English are expanding nowadays to further include other linguistic courses such as Arabic. Consequently, parents are forced to register their children in English based schools so they can afford a good job in the future and maintain a high status in society (2002). Defined by Bandura (1977), self efficacy is the belief in ones capabilities to organise and execute the courses of action required to produce given attainments . Simply put, self efficacyis how an individual perceives their control over their own ability to complete behaviours and reach goals set. The belief that a behaviour will lead to a particular outcome, known as outcome expectancies is important in determining behaviour, incorporating self efficacy and ones beliefs that they are capable of reaching goals. These illusions of the mind persuade Arthur enough to call for a treatise the following day, which ends up backfiring and leading to his demise. Specifically in the first of the two dreams, allusions and symbolic imagery create the looming sense of urgency for Arthur to take action in order to prevent what ends up being the inevitable. This dissonance between the supposed prophecy of the dreams and the actual turn of events backs up the Medieval question of the validity of dreams such as these. As seen in the debate between Chauntecleer and Pertelote within The Nun s Priest s Tale, Medieval academics would debate the science of dreams : what they mean and why they happen. Malory s work also poses these questions through this key scene before the grand ending, painting an air of ominousness but also inquisition on whether Gawain s ghost s predictions will come true.
  • 56. Homelessness In Untouchables By Jonathan Kozol When you see the homeless what do you think about? Do you see them and feel disgust or are you someone who wonders how and why they are where they are, or maybe, you are one of the few who want to help and who are able to. In the U.S., more than 3.5 million people experience homelessness each year and that number is growing. They are families with little children, people who are trying to escape domestic violence, people with mental illness, veterans who have served our country, and many more. From what I read in Jonathan Kozol s Untouchables city officials in various places are only coming up with short termsolutions, that aren t helping the homeless. City officials are just trying to get rid of the homeless from their cities or area. I think it s time that more individuals and groups, really gets involved and figure out a way to help those who are already homeless, and stop future people from becoming homeless. We have to come up with ways to help the homeless readjust and get back into the world. The first thing we as people need to do, is really educate other younger and older people on the homeless. People don t have a clear insight into who homeless people are. For example, I went and asked several young kids in my neighborhood who they think the homeless are and for the most part they said they are drug addicts and people who just don t want to live within society. People have so many misconceptions about homeless people they judge them so harshly. Yeah,
