In this essay, I will argue that Immanuel Kant fails to successfully establish lying as morally
impermissible because the claim that lying is morally impermissible goes against common sense.
Kant defines his Universal Law to demonstrate the necessary action one must take in order to act
in a way that is morally permissible and uses it in support of his belief that one s motive is the sole
determinant of the moral worth of his actions. He uses the Universal Law Theorem to determine

waveguide QED systems , Chen et al. have presented a dissipation model to study the Fock and
coherent state transport through waveguide QED (wQED) systems. As the main novelty of their
work, they have modelled the environment as a 3D scattering channel (described in a real space
picture similar to the waveguide modelling) and it has been shown that a reduced Hamiltonian can
be obtained for arbitrary photon number Fock state which can describe the photonic transport with
a restricted eigenstate. To illustrate, one , two , N photon and coherent state examples are
presented. Finally, two simple geometries of the scattering channel are considered namely the
uniform medium and a slab waveguide. Authors have also very briefly pointed out the applicability
of their model in cavity QED.
COMMENTS AND DECISION
Overall the paper has interesting findings and is systematically presented. In particular, the
modelling of the environment as a non excitable 3D scattering channel, is the key attraction in this
work. Moreover, the authors have made claims which seems not to be exaggerated. However, there
are some points in this work which can be ambiguous to the interested reader. Therefore, I can
recommend publication of this paper in the Optics Letters, provided the authors performs the

There are different versions of Please Mr. Postman . Listening to Marvelettes and Beatles versions,
I fall in love with song. There are some differences between these two versions. First of all, the
lyrics are different. Reading the background information, I know that the Marvelettes version
features a womanwho hopes the postman to bring a letter from her boyfriend to her, since her
boyfriend is away from her and at war. Reading the lyrics for just a card, or just a letter, saying he
s returning home to me , I can see a woman staring at outside of the house with tears in her eyes,
missing his man so much. On the contrary, Beatles version describe an opposite scene. They change
boy to girl , and he to she . With these changes, Beatles version describes a man looking forward to
hearing from his girlfriend. Second, the instrumentations in these two versions have some
differences. Even though both versions have some instrumentations in common, Marvelettes
