Current Trends Of Data Mining
Current Trends in Data Mining
Sardor Khodjaev
I. INTRODUCTION
Data itself is useless, until it is mined and transformed into a valuable source of knowledge discovery.
Due to its conversion into useful information, data mining has become the leading source being used
in many fields worldwide. Data mining is based on complex algorithms that allow for the
segmentation of data to identify patterns and trends, detect anomalies, and predict the probability of
various situational outcomes. [1] Many organizations from healthcare to multimedia and more are
relaying on data and getting developed through the use of it. Regardless of how, data warehouse
changed its rhythm and dimension in terms of measurements such as: variety, volume and velocity.
Today, one can see the current trends of data mining in different fields such as social networks,
healthcare and businesses. As data mining is giving the opportunity for those fields to get advanced,
Big Data is also opening up new doors within itself as the new trends emerge.
However, Big Data suggests something more than just an analysis of huge volumes of information.
The problem is not that the organizations create high volume of data, but the fact that most of them are
presented in a format consisting with traditionally poor structured form of database such as: a web
based magazines, images, videos, text documents, machine code and geospatial data . All of these are
allocated in a distributed storages, sometimes even

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Bio-Plastics
Bio plastics are made from two words bio + plastics. The plastics made from biomass material or
dispose easily as soil or both properties called bio plastics. Bio Plastics are not a single class of
polymers but rather a family of products, which vary considerably. A bio plastic is a substance made
from organic biomass sources unlike conventional plastics which are made from petroleum. Bio
plastics are made from a number of different processes. Some uses a microorganism to process base
material, such as vegetable oil, cellulose, starch, acid and alcohol. Great revolution has come up in
packaging industry due to bio plastics. Plastics made up of natural resources are easy to produce. It is
an evergreen plastic because resources grow annually e.g. Corn starch, potato, sugarcane etc. As price
of petroleum is sky rocketing now a day. Climate is highly affected by using conventional plastics.
Policies of government are push bio plastics. Bio plastics can be fully bio degradable, or can be fully
bio based or can be both properties.

Caprolactone has following properties: It is good resistant to water, oil resistant, solvent resistant. Its

adhesion barrier. Caprolactone is fully biodegradable bio plastic. Caprolactone low melting point
makes it suitable for composting as a means of disposal. Degradation time is very short. In Sweden
there has been an attempt to produce caprolactone bags, but they degrade before reaching to
customers. Mostly caprolactone is used by mixing with starch to obtain a good biodegradable material

Mulberry Executive Summary
Mulberry will be introducing a more affordable range of products and focus on improving the
productivity of existing stores.
This change in strategy may finally begin to see a turnaround in Mulberry s fortunes. Investment into
the supply chain to build a more scalable business and new factory in place which will be expanded
the UK production capacity by 50% should fit with a lower price, higher volume business. This will
recommend Mulberry for a hold for now.
The British luxury goods will cut prices of new products and focus on cheaper bags that made
Mulberry a household name, in a move that will knock pre tax profits by 25% to £14m.

Significance Of Duterte
Teodoro D. Padilla November 21, 2016 Comm1 2016 00717 Duterte s Popularity: Waxing or Waning?
Rodrigo Duterte, the 16th president of the Republic of the Philippines, assumed office on June 30,
2016 after a landslide victory the month before. That he is unlike his predecessors is an
understatement. Never before has the Philippine presidency belonged to someone who swears in
public and matter of factly calls the US ambassador gay and both the Pope and the US President sons
of a bitch. This abrasive rhetoric has left some people angry and ... Show more content on

Other politicians have made poverty alleviation top priority, but the pro poor discourse of Duterte s
competitors such as those of Mayor Binay and Mar Roxas fell on deaf ears as voters had by that time
grown weary of false promises. These people wanted something different and in Duterte they saw an
outsider, like them, trying to make way in a world dominated by elites. During the 6 year period
before his presidency the Philippines experienced a major economic boom that vanquished its title as
the sick man of Asia. From 2011 to 2016, Aquino s term, the Philippines was consistently the fastest
growing economy in Southeast Asia. Republic of the Philippines sovereign bonds reached investment
grade status. The peso appreciated and held steady at PHP44 to one USD. These gains unfortunately
did not translate into a change in per capita among the poor. A Huffington Post article in evaluating
Aquino s record says that The incidence of poverty remains virtually unchanged at 25 percent since
2009 as has the unemployment rate, which has remained in the 6 7 percent range. This skewed
economic progress played directly into Duterte s hands. He capitalized on this frustration, cultivated it,
and gave it roots. In a speech in Los Baňos Duterte said I m really disgusted the way government is
being run because it is oppressing the

The Eltanin Civilizations, The Civilizations Of The Middle...
Welcome to Crash Course Civilizations 101! Today we will discuss one of the most prominent
civilizations of the middle kingdom, the Eltanin civilization. Now before we jump in let s talk about
what exactly is a civilization. Textbook definition defines it as: the process by which a society or place
reaches an advanced stage of social development and organization, but a civilization is more than just
that. It is the culture a group of people possesses which is sustained over a period of time which
shapes history in one way or another. Most civilizations all stemmed from one life changing event, the
agricultural revolution. As the first agricultural revolution occurred from 10,000 BC to 2000 BC,
people started to settle and cultivate land by planting crops and raising animals. Although blossoming
from different areas around the world, they all had certain similar aspects such as developing unique
ways of supporting themselves and upholding their society. The start of this transition is known as the
middle kingdom. Today we will be discussing one of the most prominent civilizations of the middle
kingdom, the Eltanin civilization, who lasted what scientists like to call, A LONG TIME..Before we
dive into who they were and how they impacted history, let s talk about how they originated.
The Eltanin civilization originated from the foothills of the Andes Mountains in 2055 BC, where they
migrated northeast to modern day south Brazil and north Argentina, slowly transitioning

Socratic Reflective Essay
As I timidly shuffled across the noisy fourth grade classroom and into an empty seat, all motion and
sound ceased as everyone stretched their necks for a quick glimpse of the new kid. The teacher, Mrs.
Leach, surprised by my abrupt arrival, gestured for me to stand up and introduce myself to the class.
By this point, my cheeks were already as red as a beet and standing up in front of 29 strangers only
made me feel naked as a newborn. I tried to speak in complete sentences, but only managed to
squeeze out a mere Hi : my English wasn t exactly good back then. There goes your first impression to

other worries: What can I do to draw less attention ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The curriculum was harder and the Socratic seminars we held were even more challenging. Through a
process of listening and speaking, Socratic seminars aimed to encourage discussions filled with
distinctive interpretations and unique theories about recent books we have read. What was intended to
be an innovative method of learning was rather a direct exploit of my greatest weakness: talking in
front of people. I mean I used to break out in a cold sweat when the teacher picked on me to answer
questions and my Chinese accent will automatically reappear as soon as I speak in front of the class.
However, the seminars were absolutely beneficial to me. It offered a place to discuss without any
restrictions; it offered a place to listen and take on the opinions of others; and it offered a place where
my opinions were finally appreciated! No longer did I feel as if I was left out of conversations and
these seemingly small discussions acted as springboards for me to start expanding my social circle. I
simply wasn t afraid of socializing

Comparing The Survival Story Of Like Turtles And Buffalos
Can you imagine cow s milk being used to tame an animal? The Robinsons tame many animals in the
classic survival story, Like Turtles and Buffalos. First off the Robinsons tamed the turtles. The
robinsons snuck up on the turtles and caught them, they made sure to not let them loose. (WYSS,
Pg.167) Then they grabbed some cords and carefully strung it through the turtle s shells. (WYSS,
Pg.167) The turtles fought back a little but they were able to tie the cords to a stake. (WYSS, Pg.167)
Finally they flipped the turtles on their backs to soothe and calm the turtles. (WYSS, Pg.168) The
turtles use was to have more facility along the shore for finding food. (WYSS, Pg.168) The second
animal they tamed was the Buffalo, a fierce creature. With

Pertussis Case Studies
Bordetella pertussis, causes fairly mild symptoms and a prolonged cough in adolescents and adults
that have been vaccinated, however in very young, unvaccinated children the infection typically
develops into an acute disease called whooping cough, which can become life threatening (1). Often
times it is the older, vaccinated family members that unknowingly bring the bacteria home. Bordetella
pertussis diverged from Bordetella bronchiseptica fairly recently, however they are so closely related
that they should be considered different strains of the same species, rather than separate species (2).
The biggest difference between the two lines are their host populations. B. pertussis infects humans,

polysaccharide is necessary for B. pertussis to form a biofilm in the nasopharynx, however it is not
involved in the colonization of the lungs (1). The biofilms are the reason the bacteria is able to survive

The Iron Age According to Toler (2012), now, in the twelfth century BCE, humans enter a new era of
history, shaped by the first alphabet, the new idea of democracy, and a new metal that gives the era its

Instructional Design Models And Learning Theories Are Used...
Sink, D (2008), claims that Instructional Design Models and Learning Theories are used after the
needs of an organization have been identified (Sink, D. 2008). Instructional Systems Design Models
provide designers effective ways to identify solutions to support the needs of an organization. This
paper will discuss the characteristics of the Experiential Learning Model, Attention, Relevance,
Confidence, Satisfaction Model, and the Gerlach and Ely Models along with providing a comparison
and contrast of these models.
Characteristics of ELM, ARCS, and Gerlach and Ely Models
Experiential Learning Model (ELM): Based on early work from John Dewey, Kurt Lewin, and Jean
Piaget, ELM was developed in 1974 by David A. Kolb and Ron Fry in 1974. This model emphasizes
the idea that learning occurs when the student takes interest in the subject matter and engages in self
initiated learning. Learning is an on going process that is based on experience, interactions with the
environment, and involves obtaining knowledge through social interactions. The ELM is composed of
four elements: Concrete experience, observation and reflection, Forming abstract concepts, and testing
in new situations and five steps which consist of: Experience, Share, Process, Generalize, and Apply
(Moore, Eric T. 2013).
Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction (ARCS) Model: The model was developed by
John Keller in 1979 who believed that motivation of students had direct correlation to their ability to

Food safety and assistance is a big problem in the United States. The government has many different
programs to help the needy and keep the food regulated. The FDA and USDA have different programs
and acts to help protect the people that buy the food products. There are tons of ways that food can be
contaminated through the production process; for example, cross contamination. The Supplemental
Nutrition Assistance Program provides the assistance for low income families or individuals to
purchase the nutritious food they need and the Hunger Free Kids Act is a government run program that
helps get kids the nutritious lunches they need at school to keep them full throughout the day. Two, of

Ephesians 3
During the first week the class was divided into eight small groups. Each group was given the task to
collectively agree on a common definition on the gospel founded in the Bible. During that time
students including myself had to compromise and possible argue their point. As I reflect on the
experience of working in a group to provide a working definition for the gospel three things stand out
persuasion, pressure, and practice. Persuasion from outside influences mainly NT Wright s book. In
my group one of the members was quickly persuaded by Wright i.e. The gospel is news not advise. As
christians I think we aren t to be easily persuaded. Ephesians 4 preaches supports this point well. And
he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds, and teachers, to equip the saints for
the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and
of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness
of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by
every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. (Ephesians 4:11 14

answer, however if I were to do it again I d argue against using NT Wright s words, because we didn t
have enough time to compare Wright s claims to that of the Bible. Accepting someones teaching

General Dwight Eisenhower as a Critical Thinker
Strategic decisions made by General Dwight Eisenhower during WWII were significant and give
excellent examples of four components of Steve Gerras Critical Thinking model. Generals during
World War II faced daily innumerable difficult and grave decisions. Critical decisions made during
WWII did not have the depth and speed of today s modern communications infrastructure. Eisenhower
quoted, Making decisions is of the essence in leadership. 1 During World War II, while in command of
the Mediterranean theater, Eisenhower made the strategic decision of making the commitment to
radiate confidence no matter how dire the circumstances or how pessimistic he might actually feel. He
wrote, My mannerisms and speech in public would always reflect the cheerful certainty of victory that
any pessimism and discouragement that I might ever feel would be reserved for my pillow. 2 Critical
thinking according to Professor Steve Gerras is deliberate. Gerras Critical Thinking Model
components are as follows: clarify the concern, point of view, assumptions, inferences, evaluation of
information, and implications. The model is not meant to be sequential or linear, however always
starts with clarify the concern . Evaluation of Eisenhower s decision to radiate confidence no matter
how dire the circumstances in context to Gerras Critical thinking model spotlights clarify the concern
and point of view . Application of these two components to his strategic decision demonstrates

An analysis of eHarmony, including the five forces according to Porter
1.1 The threat of new entrants
The biggest threat to eHarmony and other paid dating sites was the free dating sites that were the
newest entrants into the market. These sites did not have major restrictions to joining and did not
necessarily do the match making for the members. According to Piskorski, Halaburda Smith, very
many people subscribed to such sites as witnessed by the rise of Plenty of Fish in 2007 to become the
most frequently visited in Canada and the U.K, and fourth in the United States(8).

However, even non paying members could be matched with potential partners only that the former
could not send messages. This caused paying members to complain that sometimes they sent messages
to non paying members and never got any response, meaning it was a loss in investment. This made
the company consider showing paying members which messages had been read and which ones had
not.
2. eHarmony s value proposition
At eHarmony, the customer gets the chance to communicate with a potential partner after having paid
for the communication process. The value provided in eHarmony s business model concerns giving
the paying member guided communication with a potential partner. The company ensures that they
consider the preferences of the applicants before starting on the match making process. According to
Piskorski, Halaburda Smith, the company considers the similarities among applicants in order to start
the match making process (6).
In line with this, the company considers a person s characteristics, interests, and values and looks for a
person whose profile is similar. In fact, the company has gone against the traditional idea that
opposites attract and opted for the similar traits while match making. This assures the customer of the
value of the investment they make when subscribing for the site as it offers more personalized and
workable options than other sites.

Questions On The High School Girls
Readings: Bettie and Loewen
Question #1: Do the high school girls conform to these stereotypes because of peer pressure and what
they think they are supposed to do, or is there another reason? Although pressure to look and act a
certain way based on their supposed class places the girls in groups, teachers and the school also
played a role in this segregation and division. By separating the classes into college prep, vocational
prep, or job prep, the students are already being placed into groups. This limits the opportunity the girl
may have if they were to be placed in a college or vocational prep because they feel they only have
one option. This also limits the diversity in the groups, even though there are some exceptions in the
various groups. The school should have mixed all the supposed cliques into multiple classes with
different groups in one classroom. This would help break up the cliques and promote more diversity
among the girls. It would also allow teachers to reach some students who may have felt pressured to
act a certain way and avoid college prep, even if they actually wanted to attend college. By separating
the girls even farther apart than they have separated themselves, the school and environment is making
it harder and harder for girls to break out of their supposed class and get to know each other. Several
schools pride itself on diversity because it allows them o teach in a different manner while
encouraging all of the students that they can achieve

The Negative Impacts Of The Creation Myth On The Earth
Damiana Schell
September 1, 2017
World Mythology
Nicholas Morris
Man was created to keep the earth but we have failed at that, we have not listened to the Genesis myth
about being the caretakers, we have destroyed and pillaged the land. The creation myth was supposed
to keep the earth pure but we justified it as a way to do what we want with it(Earth) and therefor have
had a negative effect on the earth due to the genesis creation myth.
Positive:
The Genesis myth made man and woman more curious, God put a mysterious tree straight in front of
man and we took it in our palms to try and understand what it was. After Eve bit into the apple we had
ultimate truth and we wanted more knowledge, thus began man s inexhaustible search for
knowledge.Without the Genesis myth man would never have considered knowledge as a powerful
thing, but since God did not want to share the apple man began to crave it and eventually took part of
it. Without genesis we would have stayed behind the line, not touched the tree, and would have stayed
blind.
Power, the apple gave us power, after eve bit into the apple we became self aware and thus had power
over ourselves as well as our surroundings. And just like knowledge we yearned for power, some
came in information, some in goods, and others in people s lives; such as human contact and families.
We wanted to have it all and with ought the Genesis myth we would not have been given that power,
the power to realize we are our own.
Negative:
They myth

human history, agriculture has lead humans to conquer, develop and prosper and therefore cause the
rise of civilizations. In 1972 he was in New Guinea when he met a local named Yali who asked him a
simple question that took years for Diamond to answer. Yali said Why is it that you white people
developed so much cargo [goods] and brought it to New Guinea, but we black people had little cargo
of our own . [Work cited 7] Diamond was profoundly puzzled and couldn t answer right away. In fact
it took him many years to come up with what he thinks is the right answer. Yali s question plays a
central role in Professor Diamond s enquiry into a short history of everybody for the last 13,000 years
, leading him into a wide ranging discussion of the history of human evolution and diversity through a
study of migration, socio economic and cultural adaptation to environmental conditions, and
technological diffusion. (Diamond, Guns, Germs and Steel, p. 22 23)

The company owns 17 gardens spread over 9500 hectares. Goodricke has built up a strong equity in
the tea business with its superior quality of tea enabled by continuous investments in upgrading
production and manufacturing facilities. Primarily a seller in the auction market, Goodricke now has
an equal proportion of sales in the bulk and packet tea segments, besides a significant presence in the
export market. India is the largest producer and consumer of tea in the world. Tea plantations in India
are concentrated in the North East (Upper Assam, West Bengal (and the South (Kerala, TamilNadu).
Tea production in 1998 was a record 870mnkg. Domestic tea consumption is estimated at around
625mn kg. and has been growing at an average annual rate of 4% p.a. Production on the other hand
has grown at a CAGR of 3%. The exportable surplus has therefore been declining over the last few
years. Exports in 1998 amounted to 206mn kg. Global tea production is highly concentrated in a few
countries like India, China, Kenya and Sri Lanka Indian tea bushes are very old and therefore
productivity is quite low. This leads to a higher cost of production as compared to the same in
countries like Kenya and Malawi. While India and China have a large domestic market, other
countries mainly produce for exports. International tea prices are therefore largely linked to the tea

Scarlet Fever Research Paper
Disease: Scarlet fever
B. Scarlet fever is an acute and communicable disease. The symptoms associated with scarlet fever are
a red rash that feels like sandpaper, a sore throat, and a high fever. It is a disease that mainly affects
children who are 5 15 years old, but anyone can get scarlet fever. (CDC, 2017). Scarlet fever is
acquired through a bacterial infection caused by group A strep (CDC, 2017). This group A strep is the
same bacteria that causes strep throat (CDC, 2017). The fever is acquired when Group A strep bacteria
inhabits a person s nose and throat. Scarlet fever is caused by group A strep bacteria that is able to be
transmitted through contact with droplets from an infected person s sneeze or cough (CDC, 2017). In
addition, it could also spread when a person drinks from the same glass or eats from the same plate as
the person who is ill (CDC, 2017). This means that scarlet fever can be transmitted in an airborne or
vehicle borne way. Taken from a publication in the pharmacist ... Show more content on

Treatment: With scarlet fever, prevention is more important than intervention because there is no
vaccine for scarlet fever. If someone is infected with scarlet fever, a doctor can prescribe antibiotics
which help clear up symptoms faster and reduce spread to other people (CDC, 2010). Antibiotics are
useful because there help get rid of scarlet fever faster.

Americans Should Eat Healthy Foods Essay
Americans Should Eat Healthy Foods The overall health of the nation should concern every American
within the United States. The populous has acquired a bad habit of turning to convenience foods
because of availability, taste and comfort. Thus to re direct the health of the nation, people need to
stop crippling their health by convenience foods and replace it with healthy, natural choices, otherwise
the health of all will continue to decline. The body responds differently to food types, either healthy or
convenience, and determines the mood and daily productivity of an individual. According to Donald
D. Hensrud, in order to enjoy an increase in energy and good feelings, eat more fruits and vegetables

On an average, large amount of fast foods consumed on a daily basis, leads to the deterioration of an
individuals bodily health over time. Consuming more fruits, vegetables and healthy foods, will
increase the life expectancy of most individuals. According to Donald D. Hensrud of the Mayo Clinic
on Healthy Weight, Eating well choosing a plant based diet, which emphasizes vegetables, fruits and
whole grains also will reduce your risks of some of our nation s biggest killers and related conditions.
Many cancers, heart disease and high blood pressure, among other conditions, are linked to diet, most
notably to diets high in fat and saturated fat. Even without weight loss, adopting a healthier eating
style can be beneficial. (Hensrud 49) The majority of Americans give the argument that healthy food
takes up too much time. They state that they do not have enough time to prepare healthy meals with a
busy schedule, whereas convenience foods are easily squeezed into a day. This common
misconception often inhibits the populous from exerting any energy toward trying to accommodate a
healthier lifestyle. As Hensrud states, Cooking healthfully is not difficult to do, but it may involve
rethinking your approach. (Hensrud 49) Just a little prior preparation cuts time and effort in a tight
schedule and healthy foods generally taste much better than foods from the local convenience
restaurant. When going the healthy route, many choices

Spongebob Vs. Squidward Tentacles
Nickelodeon s Spongebob Squarepants has two main characters, Spongebob (of course) and
Squidward Tentacles. The two have some similarities but many difference between each other. Even
though they both live under the sea and next neighbors, it s clear that they are two different characters.
One obvious difference between Mr. Tentacles and Squarepants is their appearance. For one,
Spongebob is a yellow sponge where Squidward is, well a gray squid. Spongebob has only four limbs
and Squidward has eight. One is a long, lanky character and the other is more of a short, stubby
individual. It s clear when you look at Spongebob, you see his white shirt, brown box pants, red tie,
white tube socks and black shoes. On the other hand, Squidward only ... Show more content on

Spongebob is a joyful character that loves life itself. Squidward just seems to mope and complain bout
everything. You can see how much Spongebob loves Squidward but he always knows to shut
Spongebob out of life. Squidward is more of a matured character because he doesn t goof around like
Spongebob does with his best friend, Patrick. Kind of explains why Squidward is continuously yelling
at him and telling him to grow up.
Spongebob and Squidward (like their personalities) have interest in absolutely two different things.
For example, Spongebob loves his job work as a fry cook as compared to Squidward, who hates the
fact that he even works as a cashier for Mr. Krabs. Spongebob loves to go jellyfishing with Patrick
while Squidward enjoy staying in his house to play his clarinet, Claire. When it comes to food,
Spongebob s favorite food is the Krabby Patty and jelly from jellyfish. Squidward s taste buds are
completely different because he likes the taste of bread in a can.
There are a couple of similarities that Spongebob and Squidward share when you see the two on tv.
Both characters work for Mr. Eugene Krabs, himself. Even though, Squidward hates being around

Problem Statement
When changing the dimensions of a pool table I was assigned to find what corner the ball would land
in, and how many rebounds or times it would have to hit off a wall in order to go into a corner pocket.
Every time the ball is hit at a 45 degree angle including when it bounces off the wall. To find the
number of rebounds the equation you use is, (h+w) 2. The way to recognize which corner pocket the
ball will land in is that if the height of the table is a multiple of 2 then it will land in the top left corner
(since the ball starts in the bottom left corner), but any other height will direct the ball to either pocket
on the right side.
Process
The way I found this equation was by simply looking to find any ways there could

Applying The World Is Flat to Canada
Title: The World is Flat Canada and the Flat World There are many challenges and opportunities that
the Flat World has provided and allowed for in the world we live today. Canada needs to be prepared
for this Flat World. The following hopefully explores just that. 1. How has/does a flat world impact
world trade and Canada. The flat world, with the advent of advancements and exposure to technology,
infrastructure, culture, cost, education, political change and ideology has changed both World Trade
and Canada has a whole. The flat world has changed a traditional top down (vertical) type command
and control to a horizontal one (collaborate and connect), in our global economy. This in turn impacts
the World and Canada. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The approach described in the book is excellent one, to establish and emphasize in education. It
focuses on four strategies. 1) The ability to learn how to learn be inspired and love doing it. 2) Be
passionate and curious. Having strong combination of curiosity quotient and passionate quotient
would foster motivation, innovation and creativity, and thus self education in turn developing the
individual s intelligence quotient. 3) Development of strong interpersonal/interactive skills. This shall
allow for strong interactions with other people within the collaborative world. 4) Development of the
right hemisphere of the brain, which addresses relationship skills, and creativity, and seeing the big
picture . An area that I would also emphasize in education that is not really focused on is financial
education. Being able to understand and interpret how the economic and financial aspects of the
global marketplace work would be a very strong asset to students. This includes understanding
financial reporting, investment strategies, and application of financial well being (i.e. minimization of
debt, asset acquisition and allocation, etc.). In terms of de emphasizing teaching activities I would
address some minimization of low skill type elective courses which may potentially detrimental for
student growth and development. 5. What are the specific challenges for Managers to be better
equipped to work in a flat world?

Important Data Compression Techniques For Reducing The...
Abstract: one of the important data compression techniques for eliminating the duplicate copies of
repeating data is the data deduplication, and has been widely used in cloud storage to reduce the
amount of storage space and save bandwidth. This method is useful when there are number of copies
that having the duplication in private cloud, which will reduce the amount of repeated files after
applying this technique we will be obtaining the files with no duplication .To protect the
confidentiality of sensitive data while supporting deduplication, the convergent encryption technique
has been proposed to encrypt the data before outsourcing. To better protect data security, this paper
makes the first attempt to formally address the problem of authorized data deduplication. Different
from the traditional deduplication systems, the differential privileges of users are further considered in
duplicate check besides the data itself. We also present several new deduplication constructions
supporting authorized duplicate check in private cloud architecture. As we are using the private cloud
architecture which makes our processing removal of the duplicate files easily. more than that security
that is been provided in this is mostly high . Security analysis demonstrates that our scheme is secure
in terms of the definitions specified in the proposed security model. As a proof of concept, we
implement a prototype of our proposed authorized duplicate check scheme and conduct testbed

Different Ways Organisms Make Sounds
Five different ways organisms make sounds would be by sonar (echolocation), drumming, clicking,
beating, and singing. First, bats use sonar, also known as echolocation, to help them navigate through
their surroundings and catch food. A sound wave is produced from the bat and returns as an echo. A
bat s sonar helps them comprehend the size, location, and the direction the object is moving in by
listening to the echoes that return. Second, termites, as well as many other animals and insects, use
drumming as a way of communication. Termites bang their heads against the ground to warn other
termites about danger or when they feel threatened. In most termite species, only soldier termites
would produce the warning signal by drumming their heads against the ground. Other ... Show more

Next, gorillas beat their chest to communicate with one another. Usually male gorillas beat their chest
to display their dominance among the group or to challenge another gorilla when approached. Most
gorillas will beat their chest when they feel threatened, whether it s by another gorilla, an animal, or
even a human. Gorillas will also beat their chest when they re excited, alarmed, or marking their
territory when another group of gorillas advance. Finally, Toads/frogs and birds are two common
species that sing to communicate. Male toads/frogs sing to attract the attention of female toads/frogs
during mating season. Other times, toads/frogs will sing to mark their territory or because the weather
is going to change. During the morning, usually around dawn, most male birds sing to attract a mate
and keep other male birds away from their area. Male birds have their own signature song, each with a
different variation. The songs sung during dawn are clearer and more consistent than those heard
throughout the day. Birds will sing warning calls when they feel threatened and/or notify nearby birds

INTRODUCTION Data itself is useless, until it is mined and transformed into a valuable source of knowledge discovery. Due to its conversion into useful information, data mining has become the leading source being used in many fields worldwide. Data mining is based on complex algorithms that allow for the segmentation of data to identify patterns and trends, detect anomalies, and predict the probability of various situational outcomes. [1] Many organizations from healthcare to multimedia and more are relaying on data and getting developed through the use of it. Regardless of how, data warehouse changed its rhythm and dimension in terms of measurements such as: variety, volume and velocity. Today, one can see the current trends of data mining in different fields such as social networks, healthcare and businesses. As data mining is giving the opportunity for those fields to get advanced, Big Data is also opening up new doors within itself as the new trends emerge. However, Big Data suggests something more than just an analysis of huge volumes of information. The problem is not that the organizations create high volume of data, but the fact that most of them are presented in a format consisting with traditionally poor structured form of database such as: a web based magazines, images, videos, text documents, machine code and geospatial data . All of these are allocated in a distributed storages, sometimes even ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Rodrigo Duterte, the 16th president of the Republic of the Philippines, assumed office on June 30, 2016 after a landslide victory the month before. That he is unlike his predecessors is an understatement. Never before has the Philippine presidency belonged to someone who swears in public and matter of factly calls the US ambassador gay and both the Pope and the US President sons of a bitch. This abrasive rhetoric has left some people angry and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Other politicians have made poverty alleviation top priority, but the pro poor discourse of Duterte s competitors such as those of Mayor Binay and Mar Roxas fell on deaf ears as voters had by that time grown weary of false promises. These people wanted something different and in Duterte they saw an outsider, like them, trying to make way in a world dominated by elites. During the 6 year period before his presidency the Philippines experienced a major economic boom that vanquished its title as the sick man of Asia. From 2011 to 2016, Aquino s term, the Philippines was consistently the fastest growing economy in Southeast Asia. Republic of the Philippines sovereign bonds reached investment grade status. The peso appreciated and held steady at PHP44 to one USD. These gains unfortunately did not translate into a change in per capita among the poor. A Huffington Post article in evaluating Aquino s record says that The incidence of poverty remains virtually unchanged at 25 percent since 2009 as has the unemployment rate, which has remained in the 6 7 percent range. This skewed economic progress played directly into Duterte s hands. He capitalized on this frustration, cultivated it, and gave it roots. Socratic Reflective Essay As I timidly shuffled across the noisy fourth grade classroom and into an empty seat, all motion and sound ceased as everyone stretched their necks for a quick glimpse of the new kid. The teacher, Mrs. Leach, surprised by my abrupt arrival, gestured for me to stand up and introduce myself to the class. By this point, my cheeks were already as red as a beet and standing up in front of 29 strangers only made me feel naked as a newborn. I tried to speak in complete sentences, but only managed to squeeze out a mere Hi : my English wasn t exactly good back then. What was intended to be an innovative method of learning was rather a direct exploit of my greatest weakness: talking in front of people. I mean I used to break out in a cold sweat when the teacher picked on me to answer questions and my Chinese accent will automatically reappear as soon as I speak in front of the class. However, the seminars were absolutely beneficial to me. It offered a place to discuss without any restrictions; it offered a place to listen and take on the opinions of others; and it offered a place where my opinions were finally appreciated! During that time students including myself had to compromise and possible argue their point. As I reflect on the experience of working in a group to provide a working definition for the gospel three things stand out persuasion, pressure, and practice. As christians I think we aren t to be easily persuaded. Ephesians 4 preaches supports this point well. And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds, and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. General Dwight Eisenhower as a Critical Thinker Strategic decisions made by General Dwight Eisenhower during WWII were significant and give excellent examples of four components of Steve Gerras Critical Thinking model. Generals during World War II faced daily innumerable difficult and grave decisions. Critical decisions made during WWII did not have the depth and speed of today s modern communications infrastructure. Eisenhower quoted, Making decisions is of the essence in leadership. 1 During World War II, while in command of the Mediterranean theater, Eisenhower made the strategic decision of making the commitment to radiate confidence no matter how dire the circumstances or how pessimistic he might actually feel. He wrote, My mannerisms and speech in public would always reflect the cheerful certainty of victory that any pessimism and discouragement that I might ever feel would be reserved for my pillow. 2 Critical thinking according to Professor Steve Gerras is deliberate. Questions On The High School Girls Readings: Bettie and Loewen Question #1: Do the high school girls conform to these stereotypes because of peer pressure and what they think they are supposed to do, or is there another reason? Although pressure to look and act a certain way based on their supposed class places the girls in groups, teachers and the school also played a role in this segregation and division. By separating the classes into college prep, vocational prep, or job prep, the students are already being placed into groups. This limits the opportunity the girl may have if they were to be placed in a college or vocational prep because they feel they only have one option. This also limits the diversity in the groups, even though there are some exceptions in the various groups. The school should have mixed all the supposed cliques into multiple classes with different groups in one classroom. This would help break up the cliques and promote more diversity among the girls. It would also allow teachers to reach some students who may have felt pressured to act a certain way and avoid college prep, even if they actually wanted to attend college. By separating the girls even farther apart than they have separated themselves, the school and environment is making it harder and harder for girls to break out of their supposed class and get to know each other. The creation myth was supposed to keep the earth pure but we justified it as a way to do what we want with it(Earth) and therefor have had a negative effect on the earth due to the genesis creation myth. Positive: The Genesis myth made man and woman more curious, God put a mysterious tree straight in front of man and we took it in our palms to try and understand what it was. After Eve bit into the apple we had ultimate truth and we wanted more knowledge, thus began man s inexhaustible search for knowledge.Without the Genesis myth man would never have considered knowledge as a powerful thing, but since God did not want to share the apple man began to crave it and eventually took part of it. Without genesis we would have stayed behind the line, not touched the tree, and would have stayed blind. The book was very interesting but a lot of the information could have been cut because it s a bit too long. Jared Diamond is a scientist, not a historian and he s American. He upset many historians around the world by the way he bashes Europeans. However, he did win a Pulitzer Prize for the book so that says something. Jared Diamond is a professor of Geography at UCLA and a world traveler. He believes that in the past 13,000 years of human history, agriculture has lead humans to conquer, develop and prosper and therefore cause the rise of civilizations. In 1972 he was in New Guinea when he met a local named Yali who asked him a simple question that took years for Diamond to answer. Yali said Why is it that you white people developed so much cargo [goods] and brought it to New Guinea, but we black people had little cargo of our own . [Work cited 7] Diamond was profoundly puzzled and couldn t answer right away. In fact it took him many years to come up with what he thinks is the right answer. Yali s question plays a central role in Professor Diamond s enquiry into a short history of everybody for the last 13,000 years , leading him into a wide ranging discussion of the history of human evolution and diversity through a study of migration, socio economic and cultural adaptation to environmental conditions, and technological diffusion.
