Party, Simmons was anguished by Macdonald s decision to form the National Government in
1931. As an MP, the rights of ex servicemen of all ranks remained one of his priorities; a disabled
private soldier himself, he utilized his experience to campaign for others. He also spoke in favour
of disarmament, limitations on military expenditure and support for the League of Nations. The
strength of his convictions on these issues led him to defy the Labour Whip on occasion; in March
1930 he spoke in favour and voted for an amendment to the Air estimates that would have virtually
abolished the Air Force.

field of digital art was originally explored and created by Morton Heilig, who thought of extending
the cinematic experience to something that would involve the human senses and enable them to
