Love Is Not All By Edna St. Vincent Millay
Love cannot fill the thickened lung with breath (L.5). Love is not all is a poem by Edna St.
Vincent Millay. Edna St. Vincent Millay was born on the February 22, 1892, in Rockland, Maine,
United States and later after 58 years in 1950 she passed away. Her mother forced her father out in
1899. In addition, her mother Cora Louella had influenced her children to value literature and
music. Edna St. Vincent Millay had published her first poem in 1912, which won her a scholarship
into Vassar College in New York, America. Furthermore, Love
is not all is a poem that is enthuasitic,
disillusionment and was published on 1931.
The poem begins by describing many things that love cannot do, including its inability to heal.
The poet observes, however, that many have died for lack of love alone ; and considers whether,
in moments of suffering, she would trade love (which keeps the individual alive) for peace
/release. Although the poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay is short, the first half of the poem deals
with what love cannot do. Love is not a lifesaver, shelter, or a doctor. The second half is about the
power that love has. Love is not all is a sonnet with a traditional structure of octave and sestet in its
fourteen lines. Its focus is a personal message addressing the ... Show more content on

This audacious moral has attracted many young people and into their change of society. In
consequence, Love is not all poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay, is relevant to young people. Edna
further explains that love cannot provide shelter by saying, nor a roof against the rain (L. 2). The
word rain in this line implies uncontrollable circumstances that even love cannot protect against.
Accordingly, the nature of the poem and its meaning to the world has a boastful and encourageful
value, as the poem depicts that love is something, but not

Samurai Dbq Analysis
The samurai the warrior for Japan, they were determined to defend their ruler no matter what the
cost is for example torture, Death or imprisonment. The knight was the warrior for Europe. They
kept order in Europe when there was none. Even though samurai and knights have many
similarities, in a one on one battle, the advantage would be to the samuraiand this can be seen in
their armor, training and beliefs. The first way samurais would have an advantage is their armor.
In document D written by the DBQ Project it states The helmet bowl was made of 8 12 iron
plates. This gives them the upper hand because they had more head protection, this allows them to
take more blows to the head. Another piece of evidence that supports my claim is in document D
written by the DBQ Project it says Below it was a 5 piece neck guard . Their neck protection is
probably one of the most important place to protect because one hit to the neck can paralyze them
or kill them. Although armor is important, there are more subjects that could lead them to victory....

but without he keeps his weapons ready for use . Because they should always be ready it would be
hard for them to be struck from behind. Their beliefs are are something that could have a major

The Capture Of Jerusalem
The Crusades were a series of wars over the holy lands such as Jerusalem between European
Christians and the Ottoman Empire between the 11th and 15th centuries. They fought for many
reasons such as control over religious sights, access to trade and protection of fellow christians.
According to the Christian Faith Jerusalem holds significant religious importance due to the
crucifixion of Jesus Christ and many other important religious sites. This is detailed in The
Capture of Jerusalem by John France Jerusalem had a special place in the religion and culture of
medieval europefor it was the place Christ had died and his empty tomb in the church of the holy
sepulchre was the very symbol of christian belief . Pope Urban II called for the crusadesto secure
these sites for christians in that area and around the world. These sites also hold a religious
importance to the Islamic Faith to this day, which is also seen in The Capture of Jerusalem For

Boeing Company s Goals and Actions
Abstract This paper analyzes the goals and actions of Boeing by analyzing its critical success
factors as well as its strategic roadmap.
Introduction The Boeing Corporation is one of the largest manufacturers in the world. Rivaled only
by European giant Airbus in the aerospace industry, Boeingis a leader in research, design and
manufacture of commercial jet airliners, for commercial, industrial and military customers. Despite
enjoying immense success in its market and dominating an industry that solely recognizes
engineering excellence, it is crucial for Boeing to ensure continued growth through consistent
strategy formulation and execution to avoid falling behind in market share to close and coming
rivals. Boeing s goals are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Steady Defense Business Growth The Boeing Company s defense business has been growing
steadily over the past few years. Revenues from the integrated defense system grew from $27,361
million in 2003 to $30,791 million in 2005. The defense business accounts for over 55% of the
company s revenues. Continued strong performance of this division of the Boeing Company would
counter any downturn in the commercial aircraft industry (DATAMONITOR).
Strong Growth from Developing Geographic Markets The Boeing Company has registered
strong growth in the developing markets in China, Oceania and Africa (Boeing Frontiers, Nov.
2005). For the fiscal year 2005, revenues from China grew by 87.9%; revenues from Oceania
grew by $32; and revenues from Africa grew 61.8% over the 2004 fiscal year. These regions
represent some of the fastest growing economies of the world. The Boeing Company s growing
market share in these regions would boost the company revenues of the future (DATAMONITOR).
Strategic Analysis and Choice
The main objective of Boeing s strategy is to analyze the commercial aircraft industry, to understand
the demand that is present, and to formulate a solution that will fulfill that segment. Currently, there
are only two major players in the global market: Boeing and Airbus. Boeing is widely known as the
free market champion, while Airbus represents the not so free approach of the European Union s

Active Play
While researching this website I found out a lot of useful and interesting information about play.
The first thing I found on this website that was interesting was the active play section. Active play
is a huge part of physical development for children. It will help with gross motor skills,
coordination, and sometimes fine motor skills depending on the activity the child is doing. This
also increases the child s health because of having an active lifestyle. This is really important today
because most children are spending way too much time in front of electronic devices and don t get
many opportunities to playoutside. I also love that the active section gives you different ideas to
develop physical skills. My favorite activity was Jumping Jack Syllables, which is kids doing
jumping jacks whenever they hear a syllable. This activity is for children between the ages of 4 5.
You could also adapt this activity with math by counting numbers and jumping at the same time. I
really enjoyed this portion of the website because of all of the ideas it has as a preschool teacher
and or parent.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This section talked about children expressing and regulating their feelings through play. They
can sometimes express these feelings during imaginary play. Having children play together
helps them develop control of their feelings while you guide them sometimes at a young age. It
will help them develop empathy and understanding for others feelings. My favorite part of this
section was Crafty Cards. Crafty Cards is making cards for your friends, family, or even pets. I
would adapt this in my classroom by having them make a card for people in the classroom during
the friendship week of school. This is a great activity for children between the ages of 3 5. This

Circumcision Research Argumentative Essay
Let s say breakfast cereal was invented to prevent you from masturbating and keep men pure and
sane. In Jewish, Islamic, and Christian practices a newborn boy must be circumcised in order to be
accepted by their god. Others have formed organizations fighting circumcision a surgery that
removes the foreskincovering the glans of the penisbecause it is viewed as inhumane and extremely
traumatic to a newborn boy. Thankfully, people have found scientific proof which provide the
public with medical reasons and facts as to why circumcision might or might not be necessary in
a male s life. In American Culture, circumcision has been a medically suggested practice in order
to prevent penile cancer, urinary tract infections(UTIs) and a lower risk of sexually transmitted
diseases (STDs). Not to mention the astounding amount of numbers that show over 2.1 million
males in America that have been circumcised since 2008 at some point in their lives. Despite what
side a parent or adult male may side on as far as getting a circumcision research is important.

Guidance Of Pressure Compressions
2.1.3. Guidance for obtaining accurate measurements
In practice, strain measurements are usually below a few millistrain. Therefore, the changes in
resistance need to be measured accurately.
Temperature coefficient of gauge factor is the change of sensitivity of the element to change its
length with change in temperature. A fixed resistance in the input leg can be introduced to
compensate for it. As a result, the effective supplied voltage increases when temperature increases.
This compensates for the decrease in sensitivity.
When more than one strain gauge are used, the temperature coefficient of gauge factor might be
different, there will be a zero shift with temperature. One or more resistors can be placed on the
compensation network ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Secondly, record the imaging parameter and the orientation for each sensor with respect to each
other, so that the position of each object point in the x, y and z axis can be calculated.
Thirdly, calculate the position of each object point in the images by applying a correlation
algorithm with the use of a stochastic intensity pattern on the object surface.
Fourthly, the tracked grey value pattern is the basis of the correlation algorithm. The pattern is
transformed because of the loading applied to the object. The following equations illustrate the
transformation, and the results are calculated using softwares.

Equation 4: x1=a0+a1x+a2y+a3xy
Equation 5:y1=a4+a5x+a6y+a7xy

Law Of Precedent Essay
Law of Precedent
One of the major considerations on how someone is tried in a court of law depends upon the
previous convictions of similar cases. This law of precedent (stare decisis) was founded
hundreds of years ago as part of our common law. The literal translation of stare decisis is
quot;that like cases be decided alike. quot; Precedents in law play a fundamental role in the
judicial processes of Canada. From stealing a loaf of bread ranging to murder in the first degree,
there are precedents for any type of case that has ever occurred in Canada, and even many cases
from Britain (prior to 1949 and the abolishment of the JCPC). Unfortunately, the law of precedent
does have its downfalls.

Unfortunately, sexual harassment at the workplace is going too far. It used to be a threat of one s
job in return for sexual favors to qualify as quid pro quo harassment. Yet in today s context, simply
inquiring about an employee s sexual status is de emed as sexual harassment.
There are problems with old laws and precedents that may need to be rectified. Previous decisions
by judges do not necessarily embody the law. Here is where a judge s duty is to apply the law, not
another justice s determination of it. quot; The law and the opinion of the judge may not always be
one and the same. quot; For judges, it is important to correct any precedent that is now viewed as a
mistake. Making sure that precedents are kept quot;in check quot; is a vital role of the courts.
The second case of changing precedent is that of court sentencing and decision making. This part
of stare decisis troubles many people along with myself for a good reason, court cases are getting
out of hand! Here offered is another example. Fifty years ago, a convicted serial killer would have
been hung by the laws of capital punishment. Yet nowadays, the taking of a convicted killer s life is
deemed as cruel and unusual punishment, even if he murdered the
Prime Minister on national television. If that example is too drastic, here is another, more
reasonable example. In the United States, court rulings dealing with personal injury or damages
are becoming out of this world. Here are a couple of

Magical Realism In Beloved
From early classics like The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde to somewhat recent stories
like The Haunting of Hill House, it seems that no matter what great works are added to horror as
a whole, the genre is never given respect. Consequently, when highly respected works involve
horror elements, critics tend to describe these elements as magical realism to the effect of denying
that any high end literary novel could come from the horror genre. In this case Beloved, a magical
realism interpretation feels lacking because the title character is different from a fairytale ghost or
creature; she is a legitimate threat in the book who should not exist. The entire time Beloved is at

Stretching out her arms she tried to circle it around Sethe.
Firstly, Morrison draws out Beloved s entrance in the first paragraph, building up tension before it
is revealed to the reader that it is Beloved approaching. For the first three whole clauses of the
second sentence, there is no indication that this entrance is for any character readers know. It isn t
until the fourth clause that readers get a strong hint that the figure is Beloved, and the confirmation
that it s Beloved doesn t even come until the second paragraph. In this way, the belated inclusion of
her name almost jolts readers. The pacing feels slow, and the effect is to build tension in the
readers gradually for every clause in the second sentence with no real relief until Beloved s name is
mentioned afterward. This use of isolated clauses to create unease is also found when Beloved is
entering the house after the events in the clearing: Breathing and murmuring, breathing and
murmuring, Beloved heard them as soon as the door banged shut behind her, (page 118). Breathing
and murmuring is just an unusual clause; it puts emphasis on breathing, a normal human action,
and it s repeated twice. The effort Morrison puts into telling us Beloved is breathing makes her
seem abnormal, suggesting breathing is not a given for Beloved. Simultaneously, the repetition of
murmuring makes her seem unstable because of how murmuring is associated with obsessiveness.

Essay on The Training and Job Information on Carpenters
Introduction
Ever wonder who had built your home? Carpenters did. They build many different kinds of things,
from door frames to houses. You have to complete high school, and then get some training in order
to become one. The carpenters in Alaska get a higher pay than those in the lower 48, which is nice.
Carpenters do many types of things, like cutting lumber and installing insulation. Being a carpenter
is very important because they build the homes of Americans.

Carpenters have many tasks, and it is important that they carry them out.
Skills Many different types of skills are required to be a carpenter. In order to be a successful
worker, they have to have good math problems. Most of the time, workers have to cut and shape
materials to fit in perfectly, which requires math. Another important part is that they have to
make them quick. If a person is slow, then everybody else can be waiting for them. That would
slow the process down, and they may get laid off to get more training. Manual dexterity is a very
significant part of carpentry. People have to have good eye hand coordination. If someone is too
clumsy, they can possibly injure someone. They have to be able to handle high powered tools and
machines. Another thing a person needs is good stamina. Most of the time, workers have to lift
heavy equipment and materials. Being strong will keep one from getting an injury. Having good
problem solving skills is important too. Sometimes, plans change. They will need to figure out
how to solve problems, and modify building plans. A big thing that carpenters need to know
about is raw materials and the costs and delivery of them. Knowing these can make big difference
in expenses when working on a project. One thing carpenters are always working with: tools.

Analysis Of Where Have All The Flowers Gone
Where Have All the Flowers Gone
Where did Seeger s song come from? Are the words even his or did he read them in a book a long
time ago? Did he steal the melody? It might be from a railroad song. Many questions surround this
song as the research will show.
Where Have All the Flowers Gone was originally written by Pete Seeger. He took words from the
book And Quiet Flows the Don by Mikhail Sholokhovl, in which Czarist Russia soldiers sang
while riding to join the army. He added a few lines changing the mood from semi mocking to
melancholy. He gave it a melody. His version originally only had the first three verses. Joe
Hickerson, a camp counselor, heard Seeger perform in 1955 and later added two more verses and
a rhythm to the song. Seeger gave him a percentage of the royalties for his contributions and
writing credit. The resulting song is a haunting narrative of the futility and endlessness of the peace
war peace cycle. Seeger included it in 1960 on his The Rainbow Quest album (Hutchinson).
There have been several controversies alluding to plagiarism but by other artists and Seeger
himself. Attempts have been made to clear these up. Since Seeger spoke of one in the 2006
documentary about the KT 50 Years Of Having Fun and a major information website published the
other it has been difficult for those seeking the truth behind them (Moran).
One of the many controversies surrounding the song is that Kingston Trio heard Peter, Paul and

The Four Roles Of Mentoring And Mentoring In The Odyssey
The origin of the term mentor dates back to the near end of 18th century BC, when the Greek
epic poem Odyssey, written by Homer, is believed to have been composed. As the main character,
Odysseus, embarks in a 20 year long journey, he asks his friend, Mentor, to guide his son during
his absence. Mentor accepts it, and acts as a father figure, teacher, role model, leader, and friend to
Telemachus (Online Etymology Dictionary).
Modern interpretations of mentoring pinpoint four distinct roles which mentors are expected to
play: role modeling, sponsorship, coaching, and counseling the mentee. These many roles are
played by the mentor so the mentee is able to accomplish personal and professional growth. These
mentoring roles are focused on end ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus they search for different ways of carrying out their activities successfully. Also organizations
must consider a range of factors that meet stakeholder s expectations since no organization exists
without their cooperation.
Meyer and Herscovitch (2001) argue that commitment is an energy that attracts an individual to
behave in accordance to the importance of a given task. Additionally, they claim that varying levels
of dedication result in different behaviors. Thus, it can be said that commitment also has the
potential to affect employees performance and loyalty to the organizations (Schminke 2011).
Although there are many different concepts of the connection between personal and organizational
values, Kristof (as cited in Finegan 2010) has defined it as:
The compatibility between people and organizations that occurs when: (a) at least one entity
provides what the other needs, or (b) they share similar fundamental characteristics, or (c) both (p.

Therefore, the nature and extent of the relationship between organization and stakeholder, and also
its dynamics must be considered in mentoring programs (Pettinger

Social Policies And Welfare And Social Issues
Social policies are public policies of which the government uses for welfare and social issues.
Welfare, according to American Politics Today, is the financial or other assistance provided to
individuals by the government, usually based on need (Bianco 448). These welfare programs play
a role in citizen s lives, especially those of low income. However, in some instances, they are there
to help the wealthy as well, such as bailouts of the financial sector. As the textbook reads, the
persistence of povertyremains the primary motivator for most social policy today (Bianco 450).
The rapid growth of social policy is proving that the rate of income inequality in the United
States is growing at a steady pace. For example, the income distribution from 1979 to 2009 the
average income of the top 1 percent grew by $700,000 to $1,220,100 (a 133 percent gain),
compared to a $2,600 gain to $18,900 (16 percent) for the bottom fifth of the income levels. The
wealth gap is even greater: the median networth of U.S. households in 2007 was $120,300, but the
median wealth for the top 10 percent was $1.89 million, and this group held 73 percent of that
nation s wealth (Bianco 450). The economy in America has an unequal wealth distribution where a
small percentage of the population posses most of the wealth in the country, while the rest of the
country has little to spare. This leads to poverty and income inequality. To measure income equality
economists often measure how much income

Canoeing Short Story
One day I asked my dad to go canoeing. I had never gone canoeing before but I was trying new
things and canoeing sounded intriguing. My dad told me he hadn t been canoeing for over 47
years. I asked him why and he suddenly got quiet like he was trying to think of something to say.
Eventually he just said he didn t like it anymore. I thought that was the end of the story because
we never did go canoeing that day. A few days later my dad came up to me and said there was

water with the canoe, me sitting in front and my dad steering in the back, he started to tell me a
story. He felt bad for not taking me sooner but he felt that I wasn t ready to hear what he was
about to tell me. It was a story he had never told anyone before, and it was quite intriguing. He
started off saying that he forgot the ending but he knew how it at least started so he decided to tell
me that at least. It went a little bit like this:
He slithered up the muddy slope, slipping on the moss and mud. Canoes parked on the edge of the
river. He had never been so scared in his life. He might ve been climbing to what would eventually

One of the most influential groups of the 20th Century the Beatles revolutionized rock and roll
into what we know it as today. Not only were they great musicians, they wrote and composed each
of their songs. The band proved to be popular and exciting causing mass hysteria at each of their
public performances. The Fab Four s talent was so great that the phenomenon was termed
Beatlemania in Britain and eventually erupted in the United States being called the British Invasion
of the Beatles (Britannica Online, 2005).
The Beatles was composed of four members: Paul McCartney (born June 18, 1942), John Lennon
(born October 9, 1940), George Harrison (born February, 25, 1943), and Ringo Starr (born Richard
Starkey; July 7, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
1963 proved to be the beginning of the Beatles phenomenon with the release of their hit Please
Please Me . This hit topped the British charts early in 1963 and remained there for 30 weeks
(Unterberger, 2005). The Beatles continued evolving rock by adding a unique style of their own
and continuously trying new ideas and adding a new flare to their music. Each of the albums
showed a progression of the artists.
Beatlemania broke out in Britain in late 1963 with the release of the songs She Loves You and I
Want to Hold Your Hand with each single selling over a million copies (Unterberger, 2005). The
British Invasion in the United States began in late 1963 when Capitol records first released I
Want to Hold Your Hand . In a short time the song was at the top of the record charts. Many
would say that Beatlemania officially occurred in the United States when the Beatles made their
first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 (Unterberger, 2005). It didn t take long for their
popularity to soar in the U. S. with best selling singles and albums. This dominance of the music
industry was unparalleled by any artist at the time and probably even today.
The Beatles expanded their music success to the movie industry with the making of A Hard Day s
Night (1964). The fame and international tours continued for the next two years, as did the
successful albums and singles. Help! was another musical film that featured the

Oil Drilling and Pollution
One way that drilling for oil destroys animals homes is that fossil fuels create carbon dioxide, and
then that burned carbon dioxide goes into the atmosphere and then Global Warming is starting to
melt the ice caps that animals live on. Also, drilling the new wells that we have to drill to get the
oil, that makes the amount of land for the animals to make homes go down, and when the land
amount goes down so does the length of the animals, like the polar bear, go down. The average
length of the polar bears mating season is about from the months March until May. Where they
want to reproduce is normally around where seals like to be. But then When Global Warming
gets more and more threatening, they have nowhere to go now. Males tend to be very
aggressive during the mating period, so that kills off the population even more. When the
female gets pregnant, she gains at least 44o pounds because once the ice breaks, she won t be
able to hunt for food. Another reason is that if we happen to have an oil spill, that will devastate
all the animals in the Arctic. For example, the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico oil spill was created
because when the BP operated rig Macondo Prospect exploded. The area in the Gulf that was
affected by the spill was eight thousand five hundred miles, to nine thousand, four hundred and
twenty one miles in 2010. But, the use of technology has really helped the oil and gas industry
because it has stopped useless drilling. An example of this would be the

Essay on Honor
It is better to die with honor than to live with shame
It has been said, quot;I would rather die standing than live on my knees! quot; (Emiliano Zapata).
All things are possible to a person who stands on the foundation of honor. The definition of honor is
a high regard or respect; personal integrity; reputation; privilege (Webster s Dictionary). The word
honor comes from Latin Honos. Honor shapes lives everyday, and provides the glue that holds a
family, community and country together.
To have a fantastic family is the best honor a person can have. Parents always teach their children
to be good to other and make a well name for themselves but it is in them whether or not they will
truly do it. Being proud of where you came from and then ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

If they did not have family to lean back on during troublesome times they would not be the family
they are now; strong and reputable. Honor is what keeps our families striving to do better.
The price of honor can be great, and can even cost a person his or her life. A brilliant orator by
the name of Malcolm X helped to break the prejudiced way of life. He came to America with a
new message to all the people. Even in his death he is still a much honored man not only by the
African Americans but also by anyone who has been affected by any type of prejudice. How honor
shaped this Islamic leader s life is clear; he lived what he preached, and fought for his community.
September 11, 2001 was a very tragic day but at the same time a very heart shaping experience.
The men and women who ran into burning building trying to help the helpless had great courage
and personal honor. Every person that had been hurt or killed during this horrific ordeal were
rescued and treated as needed. The fallen rescuers did not even think of their own lives, just the
people who needed the help. The personal honor that drives a man to search for up to 18 hours
straight, looking for any sign of life, honors those lost, and honors his country.
Honor can be from saluting a flag to helping the helpless, but to me the greatest honor is being
able to honor my family wherever life takes me. With honor, a person has a fixed place from which
to create a life. Though it may not be the fastest, the

Is It Moral To End The Life Of A Fetus
Abortion is one of the most debated issues in society today. For now avoid the question of legality
and ask the moral question. Is it moral to end the life of a human fetus? Does the fetus have any
rights and any value? Science tells us that you have human life at the moment of conception. Keith
L. Moore and T.V.N. Persaud write A zygote is the beginning of a new human
being. A human being
begins at fertilization, the process by which a male sperm and the female egg combine to form a
single cell called a zygote. Pro choice advocates say that a fetushas no rights because it is not a
person. If this is the case that doesn t mean a fetus has no value or rights. Dogs, giraffes, lions,
even chickens are all living beings, not people, yet they have rights and value. A living being
doesn t have to be a human in order to have value and rights.
Another argument pro choice advocates make is the rights of the mother, that she has the right to
end her fetus s life for whatever reason she deems necessary. This is only moral if we believe that
the fetus has no worth. We can agree that most people think that a fetus has infinite worth if the
mother wants to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Women use the common argument, My body, my choice. Now that is completely correct.
However the fetus is not her body, it is in her body. It is a separate body from her own, that s
why the mother doesn t die when you kill the fetus. The fetus has its own heart and brain. Keith
Moore writes, By the time a baby is eighteen to twenty five days old...the heart is already beating.
At forty five days after conception, you can pick up electroencephalographic waves from the
baby s developing brain. At eight weeks, there is a brain. The fetus is its own separate body. No
one ever asks, How s your body? when referring to the fetus. People ask, How s the baby?
Therefore it is not the woman s body and the argument, My body, my choice. is

Essay on Life Along the Silk Road
Susan Whitfield writes Life along the Silk Road based on character stories occurring between the
eight and tenth century, all living at different times. She writes this history for several reasons.
First, she writes it to change the negative perception of the history of Central Asia that we know
through the annals of its neighbors. By explaining the history of the region through the eyes of its
own occupants, it rids the history of any distorted views from neighboring civilizations. She uses
the comparison of trying to examine the life of the Atlantic Ocean by studying the ecology of
Europe. Another perception Whitfield attempts to overcome is that of the present day Silk Road.
Today, it is largely Islam, and it is occupied by Turkic

All of these stories give accounts of what life was like on the Silk Road. The Soldier s Tale is a
very bloody account of what life was like. For twenty five years, Seg Lhaton, a Tibetan soldier,
had been at battle. The Silk Road was his home during this time. The Tibetan army controlled a
large region of the Silk Road between Sogdiana and China. They blocked all trade and diplomatic
missions through that region. They only way trade could persist was to go another route
through Uighur territory. They, however, charged tolls for safe passage. China and Tibet were at
war for years. Many battles were fought that resulted in much blood shed. The story of these
battles gives a better insight as to what happened, rather than simply spitting out facts about who
won. Whitefield also uses this story to describe some of the harsh conditions along the road. She
mentioned that at some points water was extremely scarce. However, at other times there were
major floods that acted as major barriers. Often dividing the Chinese from the Tibetans, and
postponing a battle. There was also a story about a Chinese officer who lost his foot to frostbite
while traveling through the mountains. In the end of the story, Seg Lhaton has to travel over 1,500
miles to get back to his home. The Princess s Tale shows a lot of the harsh conditions that one
would face when traveling on the Silk Road. Princess Taihe journey begins traveling

Analysis Of The Boy In The Box
Out of all homicide cases in the US, about one third of them end up unsolved. The unfortunate
murder of The Boy In The Box is no exception. The spine chilling case of The Boy In The Box is
about the devastating death of a little boy found in Philidelphia and no one knows who or what
killed him. The mysterious deathleft many investigators baffled about who the boywas and how he
died. Many people from different places developed their own theories to conclude his death, but like
any other theories, there s always something that disproves them.
In February of 1957, a man came across a big box that contained what he thought was a doll, but
upon further inspection, he found out that he had actually discovered the body of a little boy. ...

The hat was made by Hannah Robbins who remembered the man because the cap was costume
made to have a leather strap and a buckle added. She described the man to be: blonde, between
the ages of 26 30. She said that he paid in cash and that she never saw him again. This lead to
detectives searching over 100 stores nearby but they eventually got nowhere. The next and last
clue about the poor boy s mysterious case was the box he was found in. The box was from a
JCPenny store 15 miles away. The investigators used the serial number on the box in which they
later traced down and found out that it had previously contained a bassinet. 12 boxes of the
bassinets were shipped but there was no record because since all 12 paid in cash. 8 out of the 12
people who bought the bassinets called to clarify that they had either thrown the box away or still
have it.
Apart from the clues given they still had one more mystery to solve and it was who the boy was.
Investigators still wanted to continue with the case so they kept the boy in a morgue. Many
people from 10 different stated came to look at the boy to see if he was a missing family member.
Unfortunately, nobody claimed him. Foot prints and fingerprints of the boy were taken and
compared to hospital records but nothing was found. 400,000 flyers of the boy were sent out and
even the AMA sent out a description but nothing came through. The fact that there is no proof that
the boy even existed led to many theories of who

Analysis Of The Movie Slumdog Millionaire
Danny Boyle s film Slumdog Millionaire follows two brothers from the Juhu slum in Mumbai as
they face the trials and tributes of growing up in poverty. Although Salim, the elder brother, is
given the same childhood experiences and trauma as his younger brother Jamal, his drive and
hunger for power lead him to a life of crime, corruption and misconduct. These actions later have a
detrimental effect on his relationship with Jamal, which in turn, becomes his demise. Boyle uses a
range of effective film techniques to develop Salim s growth as a character which helps to
communicate the idea that ambition can enhance an individual or be the reason for their downfall.
Throughout the film, Boyle uses the varying stages of Salim s life through... Show more content on

This in itself begins to twist and corrupt Salim as he is trying to become powerful by acting
controlling and aggressive to the other children, which, in turn, alienate him for their group as
they consider him controlling and greedy. Boyle s use of these film techniques to show how
Salim s ambition is being used against him. Maman see s this hunger for power and control in
such a young child and uses it to harness control over Salim, moulding Salim into a replica of
himself. Boyle continues to develop these ideas in Salim s adolescents as his childish naivety is
replaced by a stern front that is brought about by the denial of his childhood trauma. At this point
in his life, Salim has changed a lot due to the effects of the tough life he has had. His childhood
trauma has simply been pushed to the back of his mind, but these forgotten memories are
constantly biting at the back of his thoughts further corrupting his ideas of morality and his
hunger for power. Salim is face to face with his idol again. When Maman first enters the room a
Dutch angle is used to show the confusion and shock from both parties. Salim and Maman have
not seen each other for years and Salim has changed a lot in that time. Maman and Salim are seen
in a mid shot together. Salim is no longer looking up to Maman as he now understands that he is
slimy and heinous, the men have come face to face

Louisiana Purchase Dbq
Louisiana Purchase Seminar Write Up The Louisiana Purchase today, is considered one of the
greatest things an acting president has ever done. However, when Jefferson did buy the
territory, it was viewed by many of his fellow Republicans as Federalistic, and an act of viewing
the Constitution very loosely. Many claimed that he was abandoning his political principles,
which he had fought for so strongly in the past. However, amid all the claims of his betrayal of
his political principles by buying the territory without consulting congress, it is clear that he didn t
abandon them, because he did it for an agrarian expansion, and because he believed that it was best
for Americans. Both of these reasons are two of the main ideals of the Republican... Show more

This was for several reasons, primarily being the hypocrisy of using the necessary and proper
clause after having attacked Hamilton relentlessly for having used the same clause to set up a
National Bank. It is obvious just how much hypocrisy was taking place when we see Jefferson
comments regarding the National Bank, in which he said, To take a single step beyond the
boundaries specially drawn around powers of Congress is to take possession of a boundless
field of power, no longer susceptible of any decision. By using the necessary and proper clause,
Jefferson managed to avoid having to go through Congress to get approval, and also managed to
avoid the state governments, just as Hamilton did. This was the exact opposite of what a typical
Republican would do, as they believed that the states should have much more power than the
federal government. Given that he appears to go against many of the Republican main ideals, he
was considered by several as a neo Federalist. However, even amongst all of this, it is still clear that
he didn t throw away his political ideals as many said he did, which can be seen in the ways that he

In correlation, a recent business decision my employer made was to host, and honor, an Annual
Partners in Business Ethics Conference for a second year to integrate corporate social responsibility
into the university (UT McCombs School of Business, 2017). This decision implies that there is a
concern that being socially responsible is important to their organization and the individuals it
serves employees, patients, students or other abiding citizens. Furthermore, other businesses have
become aware of unethical behavior of their employees. Research reveals a majority of managers
have no tactic nor did they know about CSR or that it maintains a good reputation for the company
(Bakos, 2013). Although, the initial obligation of a manager is to generate profits while making
ethical business decisions companies need to contribute CSR objectives by integrating the strategy
into the core of business practices, management tools and processes. However, regardless of the
opportunities, there are a few implications such as concerns about the environment, health and new
technologies. While some people affirm the decisions in regard to business ethics and social
responsibility should not be that problematic, the implications and results take weight in the
decision making process that may have a huge impact on local consumers, communities, and even
global ramifications. Critics

Summary Of Andre Caplet s Myrrha
CAPLET
Andre Caplet was a man of many talents. He was a great French conductor, composer, pianist,
and editor for many musician s works including Claude Debussy. On his first attempt, in 1901,
Caplet won the Prix de Rome for his piece Myrrha. This prestigious competition enabled the
winner to stay in Rome for 3 5 years to study music; It often took many great composers several
years to obtain. Caplet mainly made his career as a conductor though. He brought a very precise
element to the French music scene that had not yet been explored. He was recruited in 1910 to
be the conductor for the Boston Opera Company after which only two years he was promoted to
artistic director. After another two years, he would volunteer for the French army where he would
be injured and end his conducting career. Caplet died at the early age of 47 in 1925 from pleurisy.
Deux Divertissements was written in 1924, only one year before Caplet s death. The word
divertissements in a French context means to interject a short dance and or song in the middle of
an opera or ballet. The piece, containing many downward moving melodic lines, represents in a
historical context perhaps the way in which Caplet felt about his life after his injury in the war.
This piece contains a repeated sequence (phrase that modulates keys throughout) that drives the
melody forward with its pull in one direction (either an upward or downward movement) This
music is representative of Caplet s patriotism for his country in

Countries at very low levels of economic development face such a huge challenge that they cannot
hope to address them without the assistance from the rest of the world To what extent do you agree
with this view? [40]
In this essay I shall try and explore if countries of low levels of economic development; LICs, can
only develop if they receive aid from already developed countries; HICs. I shall be weighing up
both the benefits of aid and it downfalls, as well as the possibilities presented through trade alone.
Is it easier for an LIC to develop through aid or by letting itself trade its way forward?
With two thirds of the world being made up by LICs, economic growth, the increase in output of
goods and services that a country produces ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
LICs fail to act upon the aid in order to develop but instead many see it as a way to keep afloat.
Why put the time, resources and effort into developing when you will always be bailed out by
these HICs. Another problem associated with aid is the idea that an LIC can receive too much of
it. As free aid such as food and clothing comes in, LICs citizens, instead of purchasing these
commodities, simply pick them up for free. This dumping of goods leads to unemployment as
markets are forced to close down due to the option of getting their produce for free instead.
With failures such as these it s clear to see why many opted instead to trade with LICs in order to
cause some sort of knock on effect. LICs are often provided with trade rather then aid due to
modernization. Essentially this consists of two key elements, the first being an increase in
international trade and the second being a process of intensive industrialization to help provide
goods for export. In effect, the developing countries were being encouraged to use the same kind
of model that Western HICs had used to develop many decades ago. These modern socialist ideas
of trade and economic growth took hold and became known as neoliberalism. This concept
consisted of the idea that free trade is essential for economic growth, so markets should be as open
as possible. This economic

Floor hockey is a stick and ball game played indoors on a flat floor. Players typically wear indoor
sports shoes. There are several different variations of floor hockey. Floor hockey evolved from ice
hockey. British soldiers invented modern ice hockey in the 1950 s when they were stationed in
Canada. The first organized indoor hockeygames took place in Battle Creek Michigan in 1962. Tim

Artemis Vs Amaterasu Essay
Amaterasu and Artemis are two gods that unsurprisingly enough are vastly different. What I found
though was it was not what power they held that made them different, but the culture that
surrounded them. That the birth of two goddesses could divide how one is closer to us humans
than the other. Of how a role in a pantheon and just a few myths can shatter you re understanding
of why a goddess has power. Last of all, how the nature of what symbolizes a godhow we perceive
her.
In discussing the two goddesses I find that is important to look back their conception and how they
were brought into being comes to affect our understanding from a theological standpoint. As with
most gods in ancient myth, the birth of the two is unusual but for two very different reasons.
Starting with Artemis it should be noted that she actually does have parents, in this case, Zeus and
Leto. Her birth on the island of Delos where she was able to act as midwife for her brother
Apollo. Now, what s interesting here is that besides for Leto s prolonged pregnancy that was
brought forth by Hera is that Artemis s birth is very human. It s the act of acting as a midwife that

What Is A Fairy Trip Essay
One sunny day, I found myself in a strange city on a mountain covered with something white and
cold. Everything started when I was reading a story about fairy creatures in a forest. While I was

problem was that it is hard to go back home again. Thus, my journey trying to go back had started.
What I needed was a magician, who could give me the wishes box, and so, I would be able to go

The Apprentice Is A Tv Arrangement
The Apprentice is a TV arrangement, at the first event in the US with 16 applicants attempting to
become the apprentice of the multibillionaire Donald Trump. The accomplishment of the
arrangement was big to the point that few seasons were made after that, even outside the US. The
show observes hopefuls divided into two groups, contending with one to another for a position to
work for Donald Trump. Every week the applicants participate in performing multiple tasks
assigned by Mrs. Trump, and every group will select a Project Manager for that assignment. Sir

Therefore, the absence of these elements can influence negatively on the team performance and
develop a potential conflict.
One of the big mistakes of versacorp that week was selecting Sam as a project manager, despite
his reputation in the last two weeks as a follower. To lead the group, the team leader must have
confidence, experience, and knowledge in managing and coordinating the skills, the efforts, and the
actions equally between the group members in order to achieve the goal wanted. Sam did not have
all these characteristics, which made his mission troublesome. But certain factors, like pressure,
lack of skills, improper management styles, and biases can make team leaders weak (Retrieved

especially when he rejected to give a telephone number to his gathering when bill and Kwame were
searching for the store area. Also, as a project manager, Sam did not motivate his team members by
giving them helpful instructors to perform and to avoid committing errors. Leaders are supposed to
be firm, decisive and empowering. They can also motivate their members without imposing or

Literary Scholarship And Criticism Of Shakespeare s The...
Shakespeare critic and Harvard literature professor, Harold Bloom, asserts that Shakespeare is the
metaphorical inventor of man. Bloom writes:
The plays remain the outward limit of human achievement: aesthetically, cognitively, in certain
ways morally, even spiritually. They abide beyond the end of the mind s reach, we cannot catch up
to them. Shakespeare will go on explaining us, in part because, he invented us (pp. 19 20).
Bloom s audacious evaluation of Shakespeare has been echoed throughout the canon of literary
scholarship and criticism. In fact, Bloom s invention thesis, found in Shakespeare: The Invention of
the Human, represents a culmination of centuries of teaching and reflection upon the famous
English poet s craft. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hamlet: The Prince of Denmark is a hallmark example of Shakespeare s contemplation of social
tolerance and equity in the exploration of human sociology. In this play, we see the malignant
ambition of newly throned King Claudius, the questionable decision making of Queen Gertrude,
and the emotionally preying and encompassing force of murdered King Hamlet s ghost,
construct the grounds for contemplation of human drama; this contemplation is essentially
distilled and literally embodied by the character of Prince Hamlet. Moreover, the truth, hidden at
the onset of this play, sets the internal and external conflict for Prince Hamlet as well as the
figurative stage for a study of human character and action, or alternatively, ego and power.
Prince Hamlet s own ego is festered by the crime against his father: a murder committed by
Hamlet s ambitious uncle, Claudius, whose own ego has led him down a the path of a usurper.
Yet, Shakespeare exposes that the pains of human ego are not morally equivalent between these
two. Hamlet s pain and feelings of slight come at the potential truth that his father was murder. His
ego is that of a wounded sense of self created out of the anguish he feels in his inability to take
deliberate action against Claudius, driven out of the lack of evidence to truly

Scaphoid Report Sample
Summery
Background
Clinical evaluation of suspected scaphoid injury is based on history, inspection and physical
examination. Improving the accuracy of the non radiological part of the evaluation will limit
unnecessary immobilization and expensive imaging modalities when standard radiographs appear
normal.
Objectives
To provide an overview of available clinical evaluation tests for scaphoid fractures and to compare
their diagnostic accuracies.
Methods
We performed a systematic review of all studies assessing diagnostic characteristics of clinical
evaluation in scaphoid fractures by searching MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane, and CINAHL
databases. Only studies on clinical testing prior to radiographic evaluation and with acceptable
reference standard for occult fractures were included. Thirteen relevant articles were analysed that
described a total of 25 tests. Diagnostic characteristics of the tests were used to construct
contingency tables. If possible, data were pooled and summary receiver operating characteristic
curves (SROC) were fitted.
Results
The search provided 2072 titles of which 13 were relevant and eligible for data extraction. A total

The Effects Of Cheap Labor Bad Jobs At Bad Wages
Currently there are 168 million child laborers in the world. More than half of them, 85 million,
employed at hazardous jobs, according to the International Labour Organization. In the article
In Praise of Cheap Labor Bad jobs at bad wages are better than no jobs at all , Paul Krugman
Professor of economics at MIT, explains that child labor cannot just be wiped away like so
many other distasteful practices. That it takes a perfect storm of economic success and low child
labor numbers for a full transition to labor laws that ban it. Employers will agree to follow the
law; similar to what happened in the U.S. in the 1930 s when Congress passed the Fair Labor
Standards Act. This Act established standards for the basic minimum wageand overtime pay. It
restricts the hours that children under age 16 can work and forbids the employment of children
under age 18 in certain jobs deemed too dangerous. Krugman believes that many developing
countries are not at a point where they can support a full ban on child labor. He gives the
example of countries like Indonesia [who are,] still so poor that progress is measured in terms
of how much the average person gets to eat (Krugman 4). Professor of economics at Yale
university, Christopher Udry, in his article Child Labor provides a definition of child labor as the
sacrifice of the future welfare of the child in exchange for additional income (243). The causes of
Child labor are not as simple as cultural or economic reasons, and a

Factors Affecting The Human Capacity
Introduction:
The experiment involves test subjects with different heights blowing into same elasticity
balloons in one breath to discover if there are any correlations between human s vital capacity
and height. This experiment is categorized as biology as vital capacity is due to lungs and lungs
are organs in a human body. Vital capacity is the amount of air that can be forcibly expelled from
the lungs after breathing in as deeply as possible. The vital capacity is about 4,800 mL (4.8L) for
an average human, which is the total amount of air that can be expired after fully inhaling. The
vital capacity is= approximately 80 percent of total lung capacity. = Tidal volume + inspiratory
reserve volume + expiratory reserve volume The total lung capacity (TLC) is the volume of air
contained in the lungs after maximal inspiration plus residual volume and for an average male is
around 6000ml (6L). To remain a fair test, many factors could affect one s vital capacity.
Pregnancy for woman would decreases her vital capacity as during pregnancy the diaphragm is
compressed by the uterus, which decreases total lung capacity. Pulmonary diseases such as asthma,
Bronchitis, Common Cold, Lung cancer and other diseases can also affect vital capacity. Asthma
restricts the airway allowing less air to pass through to their lungs which unable their lungs to
stretch as much. Previous researches has shown woodwind and digeridoo players have larger lung
capacity due to their experience and

Summary Of The Poem Let Evening Come
When I first read this poem, I was taking into a place of uncertainty but yet, a place of being
relaxed and calm. This poem was hard in trying to really understand the literal meaning in order to
dive in to find a deeper meaning.
Let Evening Come by Jane Kenyon was a very interesting poem. It was very short, but had a lot of
detailed sentences. Another interesting element of the poem was the repetitive use of the title
phrase let evening come throughout the poem. My idea of this poem is that the literal meaning of
this poem is someone being trapped. As the poem goes on, every stanza starts with the word let.
This shows me that whoever the speaker is speaking to, that they have no power and they just
have to let the actions that follow in the poem just happen to them. Another question I have on
this is who is the speaker? Is the speaker trapped in his own mind and trying to cope with
himself? It kind of seems this way in how the speaker justifies himself by saying let evening
come after he says Let the fox go back to its sandy den. Let the wind die down. Let the shed go
black inside (1251). My thought of him saying this line is that he is stating, no matter what is going
on in the world, that nothing is perfect and evening will come no matter what happens during the
day. Also, that there s things that are out of one s control and people just have to let those
uncontrollable things happen. Only focus on the actions that you can control and if you do that,
good things will happen. I think that deep down, the speaker is talking to himself and trying to
convince himself that focusing on actions that they can control and blocking out everything else,
that something good will come. Another question I had was what is the significance of the ending
sentence and the author mentioning God in it. (Last sentence) God does not leave us comfortless,
so let evening come ?
Adding God into this this puts a religious spin on it that could mean something deep down. I really
liked this poem because there s so many questions at first about the meaning that I had to really
think about my interpretation.
Part II: Reaction after Class Discussion After class discussion, this poem made more sense to me in
the fact that I got

he distinction between bullies and bully victims, or between socially integrated and socially
marginalized bullies, is an informal heuristic, useful for communicating the considerable variability
in social functioning among youth who display aggressive and bullying tendencies. Bullying
classifications have not been subjected to the level of statistical scrutiny as have taxonomic
classifications such as Moffitt s (1993) distinction between adolescence lim ited and life course
persistent antisocial behavior, which indeed may show extensive overlap with bully and bully victim

Future research will have to be devoted to the issue of whether bullying behavior is better described

Examples Of Dichotomy In Beowulf
Beowulf: a Wonderful Example of Dichotomies in Literature
In the epic poem Beowulf, characters with vast differences and similarities appear and blend
together to foil each other to make for a very interesting read. Many examples of dichotomies exist
in the multitude of characters introduced throughout the poem. One of the most prevalent examples
is demonstrated by the relationship between Beowulf and Grendel. There are varying dichotomies
that continuously show up throughout the poem, and Beowulf and Grendel embody several
themes that overlap with one another. The most evident dichotomy is good versus evil, but other
dichotomies displayed align with the overarching theme of good versus evil, such as bravery
versus cowardice, and dark versus light. This essay focuses on bravery versus cowardice as a
theme for the main characters Beowulf and Grendel, but this dichotomy is also demonstrated by
other characters such as Wiglaf and the other soldiers because of their fear of the dragon, and
when Beowulf s soldiers stay with him to help fight Grendel despite not really having a chance to
beat him. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Hobbit Themes
The Hobbit is a fantasy novel written by English author J. R. R. Tolkien and it was published on
21 September 1937. The novel is about quest and adventures of Bilbo Baggins through to the
Lonely Mountain. The book still remains popular in children s literature. The story is told in a
heroic way and basically is about Bilbo gaining new level of maturity, wisdom and losing his
innocence. Themes are pretty much personal growth, heroism and war. Tolkien had four children
and he used to write stories for his kids to enjoy. Then he collected these stories and created whole
new world in the literature.
In order to understand plot and what s going in that universe, I will give brief information about
characters first. Bilbo Baggins is our protagonist and by far the most important character of the
novel. The plot is shaped around his actions and feelings. He is a hobbit. Hobbits are small people,

suffering with memory loss due to dementia. Their mission is to care for the whole person in a
manner that promotes freedom, choice and the opportunity to live a meaningful life (n.a., 2017).
The Arbors of Bedford promotes a therapeutic environment by creating an open and welcome
environment and by giving the residents as much choice in their lives as possible. For example,
they can choose whether to sit by the window in a seat by themselves, or in a living room chair
with a group of people. There is usually a television or music playing in one section, while another
section is quiet which allows the residents to choose the setting that is best for them. They host a
variety of activities that focus on different therapy areas. The activities offered include listening to
spiritual hymns, tai chi, craft designs, piano performances, and invention trivia. These components
together, along with a caring and competent staff, allow The Arbors of Bedford to fulfill their
mission statement. In order to develop a therapeutic relationship with the residents I use active
listening skills to communicate effectively with them and I practice empathy to make them feel

The Chevrolet Cobalt Vehicle
General Motors acted in an unethical and negligent way by choosing not to take action when
becoming aware of a fault in their ignition switch of the Chevrolet Cobalt vehicle. This caused the
engine and electrical system to shut off if the keys were knocked, and ultimately resulting in
multiple deaths due to the airbags not deploying during car accidents.
General Motors first became aware of the problem in 2004 after a situation of the ignition switching
off the vehicle after accidentally making contact with the key. Other employees soon replicated the
ignition switch defect during test drives throughout that year. While engineers for G.M. suggested a

I feel saddened for the families of those involved in the fatal crashes that are a consequence of
G.M. s negligent action in pursuing and correcting this problem. They were let down by a large
corporation who knowingly were aware of a defect in the Chevrolet Cobalt, and if I was to be put
in their situation, I would feel deep resentment towards General Motors. However, I am not
surprised as I do already have a strong distrust for large corporations. After having read countless
reports on the news of the unethical, and often illegal, courses of action that companies will do in
order to essentially reduce costs and increase profits. While I feel angered by this, my feelings are
irrelevant to corporations as they are only interested in ways in which they can increase profit.
I felt the same way after having studied the Enron case earlier in the semester. Though I feel
Enron has acted more unethically and unscrupulous intentionally than General Motors, I am still
saddened and sorrowful for the individuals and families who were unknowingly being lied to by
the corporations. Individuals and families involved in these cases feel both an emotional and
physical loss. I feel as someone who values honesty, it angers me that innocent people were
affected in this way and taken advantage of. Enron s profit driven executives treated these

The story states that, One day, a high summer flood washed him out of the burrow... (Kipling
143). While the movie represented the high summer flood as a thunderstorm, in a jungle( movie
00:21). If it was a high summer flood, then why would the movie include thunder noise or the
noises of scarred animals(movie 00:29). This three evidence points out the difference of how a
movie represents the wording of the story. In conclusion the setting of the story changes a little
because the movie specifies the setting. Thirdly, the resolution of the story and the movie doesn
t change, because both are part of the same story, if the resolution were to change, the story
wouldn t make sense. Both medium resolutions are about what Rikki Tikki did to defeat
Nagaina, like killing her eggs. As the text shows, Nagaina saw that she had lost her chance of
killing Teddy, and the egg lay between Rikki Tikki s paws ( Kipling 154). Another piece of
evidence is shown in the movie, where Rikki Tikki smashes the eggs, but keeps the last egg and
shows the egg to Nagaina( movie 19:07). The resolution also has to do with how Nagaina died
or how the text states never came back. As told by the story his little white teeth were clenched
on her tail and he went down with her and very few mongooses, however wise and old they may
be, care to follow a cobra into its hole ( Kipling 155). As

  • 2. Love Is Not All By Edna St. Vincent Millay Love cannot fill the thickened lung with breath (L.5). Love is not all is a poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay. Edna St. Vincent Millay was born on the February 22, 1892, in Rockland, Maine, United States and later after 58 years in 1950 she passed away. Her mother forced her father out in 1899. In addition, her mother Cora Louella had influenced her children to value literature and music. Edna St. Vincent Millay had published her first poem in 1912, which won her a scholarship into Vassar College in New York, America. Furthermore, Love is not all is a poem that is enthuasitic, disillusionment and was published on 1931. The poem begins by describing many things that love cannot do, including its inability to heal. The poet observes, however, that many have died for lack of love alone ; and considers whether, in moments of suffering, she would trade love (which keeps the individual alive) for peace /release. Although the poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay is short, the first half of the poem deals with what love cannot do. Love is not a lifesaver, shelter, or a doctor. The second half is about the power that love has. Love is not all is a sonnet with a traditional structure of octave and sestet in its fourteen lines. Its focus is a personal message addressing the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This audacious moral has attracted many young people and into their change of society. • 3. Samurai Dbq Analysis The samurai the warrior for Japan, they were determined to defend their ruler no matter what the cost is for example torture, Death or imprisonment. The knight was the warrior for Europe. They kept order in Europe when there was none. Even though samurai and knights have many similarities, in a one on one battle, the advantage would be to the samuraiand this can be seen in their armor, training and beliefs. The first way samurais would have an advantage is their armor. In document D written by the DBQ Project it states The helmet bowl was made of 8 12 iron plates. This gives them the upper hand because they had more head protection, this allows them to take more blows to the head. Another piece of evidence that supports my claim is in document D written by the DBQ Project it says Below it was a 5 piece neck guard . Their neck protection is probably one of the most important place to protect because one hit to the neck can paralyze them or kill them. Although armor is important, there are more subjects that could lead them to victory.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Yamamoto Isunetomo says There is only the quick choice of death . This is gives them an upper hand because because they would rather die than give up, which means they would probably persevere in this situation. Another piece of evidence that supports my claim is in document E written by Yamaga Soko, they state Within his heart he keeps to the ways of peace but without he keeps his weapons ready for use . Because they should always be ready it would be hard for them to be struck from behind. Their beliefs are are something that could have a major influence in the battle but there is another thing that could effect the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They fought for many reasons such as control over religious sights, access to trade and protection of fellow christians. According to the Christian Faith Jerusalem holds significant religious importance due to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and many other important religious sites. This is detailed in The Capture of Jerusalem by John France Jerusalem had a special place in the religion and culture of medieval europefor it was the place Christ had died and his empty tomb in the church of the holy sepulchre was the very symbol of christian belief . Pope Urban II called for the crusadesto secure these sites for christians in that area and around the world. These sites also hold a religious importance to the Islamic Faith to this day, which is also seen in The Capture of Jerusalem For Jerusalem is sacred to islam: its name al Kuds, the city of the sanctuary , refers to the important shrine we now call the... • 7. Active Play While researching this website I found out a lot of useful and interesting information about play. The first thing I found on this website that was interesting was the active play section. Active play is a huge part of physical development for children. It will help with gross motor skills, coordination, and sometimes fine motor skills depending on the activity the child is doing. This also increases the child s health because of having an active lifestyle. This is really important today because most children are spending way too much time in front of electronic devices and don t get many opportunities to playoutside. I also love that the active section gives you different ideas to develop physical skills. My favorite activity was Jumping Jack Syllables, which is kids doing jumping jacks whenever they hear a syllable. This activity is for children between the ages of 4 5. You could also adapt this activity with math by counting numbers and jumping at the same time. I really enjoyed this portion of the website because of all of the ideas it has as a preschool teacher and or parent.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This section talked about children expressing and regulating their feelings through play. They can sometimes express these feelings during imaginary play. Having children play together helps them develop control of their feelings while you guide them sometimes at a young age. It will help them develop empathy and understanding for others feelings. My favorite part of this section was Crafty Cards. Crafty Cards is making cards for your friends, family, or even pets. I would adapt this in my classroom by having them make a card for people in the classroom during the friendship week of school. This is a great activity for children between the ages of 3 5. In Jewish, Islamic, and Christian practices a newborn boy must be circumcised in order to be accepted by their god. Others have formed organizations fighting circumcision a surgery that removes the foreskincovering the glans of the penisbecause it is viewed as inhumane and extremely traumatic to a newborn boy. Thankfully, people have found scientific proof which provide the public with medical reasons and facts as to why circumcision might or might not be necessary in a male s life. In American Culture, circumcision has been a medically suggested practice in order to prevent penile cancer, urinary tract infections(UTIs) and a lower risk of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Not to mention the astounding amount of numbers that show over 2.1 million males in America that have been circumcised since 2008 at some point in their lives. • 9. Guidance Of Pressure Compressions 2.1.3. Guidance for obtaining accurate measurements In practice, strain measurements are usually below a few millistrain. Therefore, the changes in resistance need to be measured accurately. Temperature coefficient of gauge factor is the change of sensitivity of the element to change its length with change in temperature. A fixed resistance in the input leg can be introduced to compensate for it. As a result, the effective supplied voltage increases when temperature increases. This compensates for the decrease in sensitivity. When more than one strain gauge are used, the temperature coefficient of gauge factor might be different, there will be a zero shift with temperature. One or more resistors can be placed on the compensation network ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Secondly, record the imaging parameter and the orientation for each sensor with respect to each other, so that the position of each object point in the x, y and z axis can be calculated. Thirdly, calculate the position of each object point in the images by applying a correlation algorithm with the use of a stochastic intensity pattern on the object surface. Fourthly, the tracked grey value pattern is the basis of the correlation algorithm. The pattern is transformed because of the loading applied to the object. The following equations illustrate the transformation, and the results are calculated using softwares. Equation 3: Gt(xt, yt)=g0+g1G(xt, yt) Equation 4: x1=a0+a1x+a2y+a3xy Equation 5:y1=a4+a5x+a6y+a7xy Finally, the results are plotted on computers and can be used to represent different measurements, including calibration, contour measurement, deformation measurement, strain calculation and more. 2.2.3. • 10. Law Of Precedent Essay Law of Precedent One of the major considerations on how someone is tried in a court of law depends upon the previous convictions of similar cases. This law of precedent (stare decisis) was founded hundreds of years ago as part of our common law. The literal translation of stare decisis is quot;that like cases be decided alike. quot; Precedents in law play a fundamental role in the judicial processes of Canada. From stealing a loaf of bread ranging to murder in the first degree, there are precedents for any type of case that has ever occurred in Canada, and even many cases from Britain (prior to 1949 and the abolishment of the JCPC). Unfortunately, the law of precedent does have its downfalls. Despite the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unfortunately, sexual harassment at the workplace is going too far. It used to be a threat of one s job in return for sexual favors to qualify as quid pro quo harassment. Yet in today s context, simply inquiring about an employee s sexual status is de emed as sexual harassment. There are problems with old laws and precedents that may need to be rectified. Previous decisions by judges do not necessarily embody the law. Here is where a judge s duty is to apply the law, not another justice s determination of it. quot; The law and the opinion of the judge may not always be one and the same. quot; For judges, it is important to correct any precedent that is now viewed as a mistake. Making sure that precedents are kept quot;in check quot; is a vital role of the courts. The second case of changing precedent is that of court sentencing and decision making. This part of stare decisis troubles many people along with myself for a good reason, court cases are getting out of hand! Here offered is another example. Fifty years ago, a convicted serial killer would have been hung by the laws of capital punishment. Yet nowadays, the taking of a convicted killer s life is deemed as cruel and unusual punishment, even if he murdered the Prime Minister on national television. If that example is too drastic, here is another, more reasonable example. In the United States, court rulings dealing with personal injury or damages are becoming out of this world. • 11. Magical Realism In Beloved From early classics like The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde to somewhat recent stories like The Haunting of Hill House, it seems that no matter what great works are added to horror as a whole, the genre is never given respect. Consequently, when highly respected works involve horror elements, critics tend to describe these elements as magical realism to the effect of denying that any high end literary novel could come from the horror genre. In this case Beloved, a magical realism interpretation feels lacking because the title character is different from a fairytale ghost or creature; she is a legitimate threat in the book who should not exist. It isn t until the fourth clause that readers get a strong hint that the figure is Beloved, and the confirmation that it s Beloved doesn t even come until the second paragraph. In this way, the belated inclusion of her name almost jolts readers. The pacing feels slow, and the effect is to build tension in the readers gradually for every clause in the second sentence with no real relief until Beloved s name is mentioned afterward. This use of isolated clauses to create unease is also found when Beloved is entering the house after the events in the clearing: Breathing and murmuring, breathing and murmuring, Beloved heard them as soon as the door banged shut behind her, (page 118). Breathing and murmuring is just an unusual clause; it puts emphasis on breathing, a normal human action, and it s repeated twice. The effort Morrison puts into telling us Beloved is breathing makes her seem abnormal, suggesting breathing is not a given for Beloved. Simultaneously, the repetition of murmuring makes her seem unstable because of how murmuring is associated with obsessiveness. Looking at these two ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Analysis Of Where Have All The Flowers Gone Where Have All the Flowers Gone Where did Seeger s song come from? Are the words even his or did he read them in a book a long time ago? Did he steal the melody? It might be from a railroad song. Many questions surround this song as the research will show. Where Have All the Flowers Gone was originally written by Pete Seeger. He took words from the book And Quiet Flows the Don by Mikhail Sholokhovl, in which Czarist Russia soldiers sang while riding to join the army. He added a few lines changing the mood from semi mocking to melancholy. He gave it a melody. His version originally only had the first three verses. Joe Hickerson, a camp counselor, heard Seeger perform in 1955 and later added two more verses and a rhythm to the song. Seeger gave him a percentage of the royalties for his contributions and writing credit. The resulting song is a haunting narrative of the futility and endlessness of the peace war peace cycle. Seeger included it in 1960 on his The Rainbow Quest album (Hutchinson). There have been several controversies alluding to plagiarism but by other artists and Seeger himself. Attempts have been made to clear these up. Since Seeger spoke of one in the 2006 documentary about the KT 50 Years Of Having Fun and a major information website published the other it has been difficult for those seeking the truth behind them (Moran). The Four Roles Of Mentoring And Mentoring In The Odyssey The origin of the term mentor dates back to the near end of 18th century BC, when the Greek epic poem Odyssey, written by Homer, is believed to have been composed. As the main character, Odysseus, embarks in a 20 year long journey, he asks his friend, Mentor, to guide his son during his absence. Mentor accepts it, and acts as a father figure, teacher, role model, leader, and friend to Telemachus (Online Etymology Dictionary). • 16. Social Policies And Welfare And Social Issues Social policies are public policies of which the government uses for welfare and social issues. Welfare, according to American Politics Today, is the financial or other assistance provided to individuals by the government, usually based on need (Bianco 448). These welfare programs play a role in citizen s lives, especially those of low income. However, in some instances, they are there to help the wealthy as well, such as bailouts of the financial sector. As the textbook reads, the persistence of povertyremains the primary motivator for most social policy today (Bianco 450). The rapid growth of social policy is proving that the rate of income inequality in the United States is growing at a steady pace. For example, the income distribution from 1979 to 2009 the average income of the top 1 percent grew by $700,000 to $1,220,100 (a 133 percent gain), compared to a $2,600 gain to $18,900 (16 percent) for the bottom fifth of the income levels. The wealth gap is even greater: the median networth of U.S. households in 2007 was $120,300, but the median wealth for the top 10 percent was $1.89 million, and this group held 73 percent of that nation s wealth (Bianco 450). The economy in America has an unequal wealth distribution where a small percentage of the population posses most of the wealth in the country, while the rest of the country has little to spare. This leads to poverty and income inequality. To measure income equality economists often measure how much income ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Oil Drilling and Pollution One way that drilling for oil destroys animals homes is that fossil fuels create carbon dioxide, and then that burned carbon dioxide goes into the atmosphere and then Global Warming is starting to melt the ice caps that animals live on. Also, drilling the new wells that we have to drill to get the oil, that makes the amount of land for the animals to make homes go down, and when the land amount goes down so does the length of the animals, like the polar bear, go down. The average length of the polar bears mating season is about from the months March until May. Where they want to reproduce is normally around where seals like to be. But then When Global Warming gets more and more threatening, they have nowhere to go now. Males tend to be very aggressive during the mating period, so that kills off the population even more. When the female gets pregnant, she gains at least 44o pounds because once the ice breaks, she won t be able to hunt for food. Is it moral to end the life of a human fetus? Does the fetus have any rights and any value? Science tells us that you have human life at the moment of conception. Keith L. Moore and T.V.N. Dogs, giraffes, lions, even chickens are all living beings, not people, yet they have rights and value. A living being doesn t have to be a human in order to have value and rights. Another argument pro choice advocates make is the rights of the mother, that she has the right to end her fetus s life for whatever reason she deems necessary. This was the exact opposite of what a typical Republican would do, as they believed that the states should have much more power than the federal government. Given that he appears to go against many of the Republican main ideals, he was considered by several as a neo Federalist. However, even amongst all of this, it is still clear that he didn t throw away his political ideals as many said he did, which can be seen in the ways that he did all of this to help the people who he was ... Furthermore, other businesses have become aware of unethical behavior of their employees. Research reveals a majority of managers have no tactic nor did they know about CSR or that it maintains a good reputation for the company (Bakos, 2013). Although, the initial obligation of a manager is to generate profits while making ethical business decisions companies need to contribute CSR objectives by integrating the strategy into the core of business practices, management tools and processes. However, regardless of the opportunities, there are a few implications such as concerns about the environment, health and new technologies. • 30. Summary Of Andre Caplet s Myrrha CAPLET Andre Caplet was a man of many talents. He was a great French conductor, composer, pianist, and editor for many musician s works including Claude Debussy. On his first attempt, in 1901, Caplet won the Prix de Rome for his piece Myrrha. This prestigious competition enabled the winner to stay in Rome for 3 5 years to study music; It often took many great composers several years to obtain. Caplet mainly made his career as a conductor though. He brought a very precise element to the French music scene that had not yet been explored. He was recruited in 1910 to be the conductor for the Boston Opera Company after which only two years he was promoted to artistic director. After another two years, he would volunteer for the French army where he would be injured and end his conducting career. Caplet died at the early age of 47 in 1925 from pleurisy. Deux Divertissements was written in 1924, only one year before Caplet s death. The word divertissements in a French context means to interject a short dance and or song in the middle of an opera or ballet. The piece, containing many downward moving melodic lines, represents in a historical context perhaps the way in which Caplet felt about his life after his injury in the war. This piece contains a repeated sequence (phrase that modulates keys throughout) that drives the melody forward with its pull in one direction (either an upward or downward movement) This music is representative of Caplet s patriotism for his country in ... Countries at very low levels of economic development face such a huge challenge that they cannot hope to address them without the assistance from the rest of the world To what extent do you agree with this view? [40] In this essay I shall try and explore if countries of low levels of economic development; LICs, can only develop if they receive aid from already developed countries; HICs. I shall be weighing up both the benefits of aid and it downfalls, as well as the possibilities presented through trade alone. Is it easier for an LIC to develop through aid or by letting itself trade its way forward? LICs fail to act upon the aid in order to develop but instead many see it as a way to keep afloat. Why put the time, resources and effort into developing when you will always be bailed out by these HICs. Another problem associated with aid is the idea that an LIC can receive too much of it. As free aid such as food and clothing comes in, LICs citizens, instead of purchasing these commodities, simply pick them up for free. This dumping of goods leads to unemployment as markets are forced to close down due to the option of getting their produce for free instead. With failures such as these it s clear to see why many opted instead to trade with LICs in order to cause some sort of knock on effect. LICs are often provided with trade rather then aid due to modernization. Essentially this consists of two key elements, the first being an increase in international trade and the second being a process of intensive industrialization to help provide goods for export. In effect, the developing countries were being encouraged to use the same kind of model that Western HICs had used to develop many decades ago. These modern socialist ideas of trade and economic growth took hold and became known as neoliberalism. This concept consisted of the idea that free trade is essential for economic growth, so markets should be as open as possible. This economic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In this play, we see the malignant ambition of newly throned King Claudius, the questionable decision making of Queen Gertrude, and the emotionally preying and encompassing force of murdered King Hamlet s ghost, construct the grounds for contemplation of human drama; this contemplation is essentially distilled and literally embodied by the character of Prince Hamlet. Moreover, the truth, hidden at the onset of this play, sets the internal and external conflict for Prince Hamlet as well as the figurative stage for a study of human character and action, or alternatively, ego and power. Prince Hamlet s own ego is festered by the crime against his father: a murder committed by Hamlet s ambitious uncle, Claudius, whose own ego has led him down a the path of a usurper. Yet, Shakespeare exposes that the pains of human ego are not morally equivalent between these two. Hamlet s pain and feelings of slight come at the potential truth that his father was murder. More than half of them, 85 million, employed at hazardous jobs, according to the International Labour Organization. In the article In Praise of Cheap Labor Bad jobs at bad wages are better than no jobs at all , Paul Krugman Professor of economics at MIT, explains that child labor cannot just be wiped away like so many other distasteful practices. That it takes a perfect storm of economic success and low child labor numbers for a full transition to labor laws that ban it. Employers will agree to follow the law; similar to what happened in the U.S. in the 1930 s when Congress passed the Fair Labor Standards Act. This Act established standards for the basic minimum wageand overtime pay. It restricts the hours that children under age 16 can work and forbids the employment of children under age 18 in certain jobs deemed too dangerous. Krugman believes that many developing countries are not at a point where they can support a full ban on child labor. He gives the example of countries like Indonesia [who are,] still so poor that progress is measured in terms of how much the average person gets to eat (Krugman 4). Factors Affecting The Human Capacity Introduction: The experiment involves test subjects with different heights blowing into same elasticity balloons in one breath to discover if there are any correlations between human s vital capacity and height. This experiment is categorized as biology as vital capacity is due to lungs and lungs are organs in a human body. Vital capacity is the amount of air that can be forcibly expelled from the lungs after breathing in as deeply as possible. The vital capacity is about 4,800 mL (4.8L) for an average human, which is the total amount of air that can be expired after fully inhaling. Pregnancy for woman would decreases her vital capacity as during pregnancy the diaphragm is compressed by the uterus, which decreases total lung capacity. • 43. Summary Of The Poem Let Evening Come When I first read this poem, I was taking into a place of uncertainty but yet, a place of being relaxed and calm. This poem was hard in trying to really understand the literal meaning in order to dive in to find a deeper meaning. Let Evening Come by Jane Kenyon was a very interesting poem. It was very short, but had a lot of detailed sentences. Another interesting element of the poem was the repetitive use of the title phrase let evening come throughout the poem. My idea of this poem is that the literal meaning of this poem is someone being trapped. As the poem goes on, every stanza starts with the word let. This shows me that whoever the speaker is speaking to, that they have no power and they just have to let the actions that follow in the poem just happen to them. Another question I have on this is who is the speaker? Is the speaker trapped in his own mind and trying to cope with himself? It kind of seems this way in how the speaker justifies himself by saying let evening come after he says Let the fox go back to its sandy den. Let the wind die down. Let the shed go black inside (1251). My thought of him saying this line is that he is stating, no matter what is going on in the world, that nothing is perfect and evening will come no matter what happens during the day. Also, that there s things that are out of one s control and people just have to let those uncontrollable things happen. Only focus on the actions that you can control and if you do that, good things will happen. I think that deep down, the speaker is talking to himself and trying to convince himself that focusing on actions that they can control and blocking out everything else, that something good will come. Another question I had was what is the significance of the ending sentence and the author mentioning God in it. (Last sentence) God does not leave us comfortless, so let evening come ? Adding God into this this puts a religious spin on it that could mean something deep down. I really liked this poem because there s so many questions at first about the meaning that I had to really think about my interpretation. • 49. Example Of Service Learning Reflection Service Learning Reflection Sarah N. Johnson Saint Anselm College Service Learning Reflection Sarah N. Johnson Saint Anselm College I completed my service learning at The Arbors of Bedford, a nursing home for older adults suffering with memory loss due to dementia. Their mission is to care for the whole person in a manner that promotes freedom, choice and the opportunity to live a meaningful life (n.a., 2017). The Arbors of Bedford promotes a therapeutic environment by creating an open and welcome environment and by giving the residents as much choice in their lives as possible. For example, they can choose whether to sit by the window in a seat by themselves, or in a living room chair with a group of people. There is usually a television or music playing in one section, while another section is quiet which allows the residents to choose the setting that is best for them. They host a variety of activities that focus on different therapy areas. The activities offered include listening to spiritual hymns, tai chi, craft designs, piano performances, and invention trivia. These components together, along with a caring and competent staff, allow The Arbors of Bedford to fulfill their mission statement. In order to develop a therapeutic relationship with the residents I use active listening skills to communicate effectively with them and I practice empathy to make them feel understood. There is one resident at my site who is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 50. The Chevrolet Cobalt Vehicle General Motors acted in an unethical and negligent way by choosing not to take action when becoming aware of a fault in their ignition switch of the Chevrolet Cobalt vehicle. This caused the engine and electrical system to shut off if the keys were knocked, and ultimately resulting in multiple deaths due to the airbags not deploying during car accidents. General Motors first became aware of the problem in 2004 after a situation of the ignition switching off the vehicle after accidentally making contact with the key. Other employees soon replicated the ignition switch defect during test drives throughout that year. While engineers for G.M. suggested a fix to the issue, executives due to consideration of the lead time required, cost and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I feel saddened for the families of those involved in the fatal crashes that are a consequence of G.M. s negligent action in pursuing and correcting this problem. They were let down by a large corporation who knowingly were aware of a defect in the Chevrolet Cobalt, and if I was to be put in their situation, I would feel deep resentment towards General Motors. However, I am not surprised as I do already have a strong distrust for large corporations. After having read countless reports on the news of the unethical, and often illegal, courses of action that companies will do in order to essentially reduce costs and increase profits. While I feel angered by this, my feelings are irrelevant to corporations as they are only interested in ways in which they can increase profit. I felt the same way after having studied the Enron case earlier in the semester. Though I feel Enron has acted more unethically and unscrupulous intentionally than General Motors, I am still saddened and sorrowful for the individuals and families who were unknowingly being lied to by the corporations. Individuals and families involved in these cases feel both an emotional and physical loss. I feel as someone who values honesty, it angers me that innocent people were affected in this way and taken advantage of. Enron s profit driven executives treated these individuals and families unfairly, as were the families of those involved in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 51. Rikkki Tikki Gi Movie And Movie Analysis Curiosity is the best word to describe a mongoose, this is because mongooses like to explore the world around them and mongoose are so curious that they rarely get frightened, as also explained in the Rikki Tikki Tavi story. People around the world might know that every mongoose has to fight a snake once in a lifetime since mongoose like to eat snakes. Although some mongooses like to eat insects, lizards, birds, and rodents. While others like the Indian mongoose like to eat snakes especially cobras. Mongoose is the name for 29 out of 34 species located in southern Eurasia and Africa. Rikki Tikki Tavi the book, was created by Rudyard Kipling while the movie of Rikki Tikki Tavi has a different author. Although this noticeable difference ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The story only gives brief descriptions, but the movie adds or gives more detail to the setting. The story states that, One day, a high summer flood washed him out of the burrow... (Kipling 143). While the movie represented the high summer flood as a thunderstorm, in a jungle( movie 00:21). If it was a high summer flood, then why would the movie include thunder noise or the noises of scarred animals(movie 00:29). This three evidence points out the difference of how a movie represents the wording of the story. In conclusion the setting of the story changes a little because the movie specifies the setting. Thirdly, the resolution of the story and the movie doesn t change, because both are part of the same story, if the resolution were to change, the story wouldn t make sense. Both medium resolutions are about what Rikki Tikki did to defeat Nagaina, like killing her eggs. As the text shows, Nagaina saw that she had lost her chance of killing Teddy, and the egg lay between Rikki Tikki s paws ( Kipling 154). Another piece of evidence is shown in the movie, where Rikki Tikki smashes the eggs, but keeps the last egg and shows the egg to Nagaina( movie 19:07). The resolution also has to do with how Nagaina died or how the text states never came back. As told by the story his little white teeth were clenched on her tail and he went down with her and very few mongooses, however wise and old they may be, care to follow a cobra into its hole ( Kipling 155).
