Freedom Of Speech, And Possession Of Guns
Political laws are set of rules that keep a country or nation together. It was existed for quite a long
period of time, including when our ancestors were alive. All political laws were developed by
governments, and they believe it was necessary to be passed them down for better human rights.
These laws are usually justified for moral dress codes, freedom of speech, and possession of guns, etc.
However, during the past years, France has been dealing with a political issue called the French Veil.
It is a kind of law that the French governor believe could keep their people from behaving badly.
Although France is dealing with a political issue, it has been affecting our society, such as women s
rights, religion, and social life events of people. Before explaining more about the French veil issue,
we need to understand why it is happening. First off, the French veil is recognized as a law that begun
in the early 2000s (Crosby). It was also the first major law in a European country to be passed.
However, it main goal is to target Muslim women. In France, it is filled with a lot of immigrants; so
the governments fear that it will affect their traditional culture. Every year, more and more Muslims
come to live in France, as their numbers increase in the past ten years (Honicker). In this case, they
decided to pass the French veil law to ban Muslim women from wear their scarf in public, such as at
school, shopping, etc. It made many women felt like their rights were taken, which

Family Centered Practice
Description of the major thrust of family centered practice
According to Sandau Beckler (2001), the primary drive of family centered practice is customer
empowerment . She defined empowerment as the process of negotiating or eliminating barriers to
problem solving imposed by external society (p. 86). Moreover, she elaborated that the therapist
should present the customer with prospects that would result in empowerment. Similarly, Cohen
(2004) mentioned that both the therapist and customer benefits from this expansion. she further
uttered, You become empowered as you assist in the empowerment of others (p.42).

My Mother Essay
In most cases, we develop some outstanding qualities and attributes through training and learning.
However, my mother attained those unique qualities through life experience. From a very humble
background, she has struggled with life, passed through a lot to be the person she is today. She always
tells us that experience is the best teacher. Also, through proper parenthood. My grandparents were
very strict and observant. They laid a good foundation to my mother through teaching her on good
moral, and how to be responsible. Our parents always act as our role models, so when they teach us
good life techniques, there is the possibility of us being better than them. Hence, in one way or
another, her parents made her acquire some of these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She could not afford to get a sitter and pay her to look over us; hence, she was kind of socially
isolated.
Fatigue
Parenthood is usually meant to involve two players, that is husband and wife. To some cases, the man
may be irresponsible, or the woman may be single. My mother was always physically, emotionally
and spiritually worn out because of multitasking and overthinking. As a family, we depended on her,
and to some point, she had no power to provide on to us. She had to balance work and her health,
which was very challenging. She could not get ways to take a breather or refresh, as she was all
committed to giving us the best. She could not have enough sleep, as she was to wake up early in the
morning, prepare us and go to work.
My Mother s Impacts on to my Life
My mom inspired me on being hard working, responsible and accountable. Her perseverance in life
gave me the inspiration for putting more effort in any activity I undertake and get the best out of my
life. She had a goal of giving us a decent and comfortable life, and she made us proud of her.
Again, she impacted me with love and respect to other people. Since she was compassionate and
empathetic, I inherited an attribute of loving anyone despite their social background. In fact, I
wondered how she managed everything perfectly. She also surprised me of her kind nature.
Sometimes I could offend her, hurt her, but she still had that parental

The Bernard Madoff Investment Scandal Essay
Bernard Madoff had full control of the organizational leadership of Bernard Madoff Investments
Securities LLC. Madoff used charisma to convince his friends, members of elite groups, and his
employees to believe in him. He tricked his clients into believing that they were investing in
something special. He would often turn potential investors down, which helped Bernard in targeting
the investors with more money to invest. Bernard Madoff created a system which promised high
returns in the short term and was nothing but the Ponzi scheme. The system s idea relied on funds
from the new investors to pay misrepresented and extremely high returns to existing investors. He was
doing this for years; convincing wealthy individuals and charities to ... Show more content on

Eventually, his scheme reached a staggering 50 billion dollars under his management. It came to an
end after market conditions led to a considerable amount of redemptions when investors started to take
their money back. After Bernard Madoff, a former NASDAQ chairman, was arrested on December 11,
2008, he acknowledged that his performance was nothing but the Ponzi scheme. He pled guilty to the
biggest investor fraud ever committed by anyone on March 12, 2009. On June 29, 2009, he was
sentenced to 150 years in prison. Stakeholders Madoff was able to align himself with wealthy
individuals, leaders involved in foundations, business entities, and government. This gave him
unlimited access to different groups of investors. Among Madoff s Ponzi scheme victims, it is easy to
find wealthy individuals, charitable organizations, and its stakeholders, such as employees,
communities, vendors, and even the government. Investors that took the biggest losses, which was in
the billions, because of this scheme are named in the Wall Street Journal; among them are Fairfield
Greenwich Group, Tremont Capital Management, Banco Santander, Fortis, and many others. Investors

Lab Report On Boiling Points
Laura Breuning Lab Report 4
Abstract This experiment evaluated and reviewed the concepts used to identify unknown molecules.
The experiment includes a boiling point trial, a melting point trial and an infrared spectrometry trial.
All of the following were proved as sufficient methods to identify the unknown molecules.
Introduction
In this lab, we will be using boiling points, melting points and infrared spectrometry to identify
unknown compounds. Boiling points are affect by three key factors the first being intermolecular
forces. Inter molecular affect boiling point based on bond strength. This is directly related to what
functional group is attached. Ionic bonding is said to cause a higher boiling point then the other
intermolecular forces, due to a strong attraction in the bond. The two other factors that affect boiling
point would be the number of carbons and amount of branching of carbon chain (3 Trends that affect
boiling points). Infrared spectrometry is irradiating a sample with infrared frequencies, which then
shows what frequencies were absorbed. The absorbance numbers can then be directly tied to certain
functional groups (Klein, 2007). All of these concepts will be used and evaluated during this lab.
Methods
Part 1: Melting point
First collect a melting point apparatus, a capillary test tube. Collect a small amount of the #666
unknown in the capillary test tube approximately enough to cover 2 cm of the capillary test tube. Then

Epidemiological Assessment Essay
Epidemiological Assessment Ideally, the advantages Information Technology workers in the Santa
Clara county and globally enjoy in terms of high income, high education and access to an array of
employer provided resources should warrant excellent health outcomes. But surprisingly, studies from
different countries have pointed out several health issues in IT workers like ocular discomforts,
musculo skeletal problems, and metabolic syndrome. These health issues have been attributed to their
sedentary lifestyle, occupational stress and prolonged use of computer (Shrivastava Bobhate, 2012).
More recently, mental health issues like anxiety, depression which largely go undiagnosed and

Carpel Tunnel syndrome (Ali Sathiyasekaran, 2006). The musculo skeletal problems are significantly
related to the number of working hours. Computer vision syndrome and musculoskeletal problems are
increasing among software professionals globally. To reduce vision and musculo skeletal morbidities,
interventions should focus on redesigning and improving workstation ergonomics (Shrivastava
Bhopate, 2012). Globally, information technology is one of the fastest growing industry. This growth
puts a lot of pressure on IT professionals to deliver efficiently. There is constant pressure of
competition, targets, meeting aggressive deadlines, rapid obsolescence of skills, and working long
hours. The job stress coupled with poor diet and low physical activity is a perfect cocktail for
morbidities in this population. A study exploring the occupational stress, mental health and coping
among IT professionals in Hyderabad, India revealed that job stress and not job satisfaction or
dissatisfaction affected the wellbeing of employees (Rao Chandraiah, 2012). Study of IT employees of
Canandian technology firms concluded that stress, anxiety and depression are high among tech
workers (Sutton, 2003). In a cross sectional study involving software professionals from Mumbai,

Personal Reflection Of Journalism As An Elective Class
When I first selected Journalism as my Elective class I would be challenged in ways I had never
experienced in the conventional classroom before. After a full year of the class, I found that while this
was demonstrated to be true, the real challenge came from learning how to channel my self motivation
and intrinsic passion as opposed to external pressures like harsh due dates and grading. I have never
before in my life been given the opportunity to write about my passions and interests for a grade, nor
have I had the chance to write on behalf of a respected school institution. My motivations in
journalism were essentially flipped from those of the conventional classroom, where my grades are
motivated by the institutional pressures of the school, and my actual learning of the subject is
motivated by my personal interest in the class. Instead in journalism, my grades are dependent on my
personal interests, and my actual learning of the subject is dependent on the institutional pressures of
working for such an esteemed organization. This has provided me with a much more realistic
educational experience, relative to the professional world, as I am motivated internally to produce
content at the job of my choice and externally to conform to the expectations of my employer. I chose
to take journalism to see if I could accountably manage my work without many of the guidelines and
structure presented in most classes, and I feel that, 12+ quality articles later, I have

Balfour Argument
The Balfour Declaration allowed for the establishment of a new Jewish national homeland called
Israel and the striping of land from the native Palestinians. Ironically, this declaration came at a time
when the idea of self determination was beginning to be recognized (Hisham, 1990). During an
address to the United States Senate in 1917, President Woodrow Wilson highlighted that:
No peace can last, or ought to last, which does not recognize and accept the principle that
governments derive all their just powers from the consent of the governed, and that no right anywhere
exists to hand people about from sovereignty to sovereignty as if they were property. (Hisham, 1990)
Unfortunately, these concepts were not applied to the inhabitants of Palestine and are the reason this
area is in constant battle. Currently, the land belonging to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although many in the US view middle eastern resentment towards them a result of its position for
freedom and democracy, another factor may involve the disagreement with US foreign policy. In a
survey of 2,620 men and women living in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia, most
participants voiced hostility towards the United States because of US policy and position on the Israeli
Palestinian conflict (Munson, 2004). Although the majority of the middle eastern populations do not
wish physical harm to American citizens, their views on US policy are shared with some of the
fanatics in those areas. One Islamic extremist and organizer for the terrorist attack on 9/11, Osama Bin
Laden, cited the suffering of Palestinians as a grave injustice supported by the United States and one
of his reasons for opposition against America (Munson, 2004). Despite the fact that many other
contributors to middle eastern disapproval of US policy exist, the Israeli Palestinian conflict has
created much debate and disdain from around the

Disadvantages Of Online Dating
Adults, we live much busier lives than generations before us. Finding a person to date, marry and
build a family with is simply is not done the same was as traditionally done. Many couples met in
school and married young. Finding a mate was easy with classmates and friends of classmates.
However, these day couples are not getting married as young as previous generations. With women
especially, students leave high school to pursue a career by attending college and traveling the world.
Today, young people are looking to experience all they can out of life while they are young therefore
the average age of a young American s first marriage is rising steadily. When a young American
begins to settle down by finding a career, buying a home and begin true adult responsibilities they are
finding that the only thing missing in their lives is someone to share it with. That is why online dating
has become attractive option for many reasons. Many adults have found great success dating online
however many have some outcomes that can be simply devastating. There are only some online sites
screen users and run them against a National Sex Offender Database, but some sites do not screen at
all which those are mostly the free sites. People face many different types of dangers when they are
associated with online dating as anyone can create a false profile. These false profiles or
misrepresentations of one s self lead to letdowns; predators and criminals use these sites to find

Analysis and Discussion of the Representation of Women in...
In this essay I will be analysing and discussing the representation of women in the Welsh novel of The
Mabinogion, in particular; the portrayal of the calumniated wife, a theme which is recurrent through
Medieval Welsh literature. I will focusing in particular on how women s speech is represented and
how their relationships with other women and men are portrayed. I will also be looking at different
female protagonists self government and autonomy throughout the four branches. Throughout my
research I am expecting to find at least two different portrayals of women. One being a strong,
influential and sure woman, and the other being a more passive individual and more stereotypical of a
maiden in Welsh literature. The first female ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After this introduction to Rhiannon she later reiterates her authority and shows she is not afraid to
voice her opinions against an authoritative man. This can be seen when Pwyll grants the man
Rhiannon is due to marry anything he requests. Rhiannon immediately judges his actions Never has a
man been more stupid than you have been (Davies 2007: 12). This characterization of Rhiannon is
strong and sure; she is assertive and dominant, often domineering. (Ford 2008: p.36 37). Rhiannon s
speech here displays her as a wise and learned individual. She is easily a match for Pwyll, and has
been described by McKenna (2006:1622) as a catalyst in Pwyll s development as a competent ruler.
This can be further seen as after Pwyll s naïve mistake she takes control and concocts a plan to return
to Pwyll in a year s time. The words Rhiannon chooses show how she dominates the situation by
repeating the pronoun I . I ll see to it (Davies 2007: 12). This suggests she feels she has to take control
of the situation as Pwyll cannot, she thinks on her feet and immediately knows what to do. Rhiannon
is an outspoken woman and is not afraid to force her opinion upon her husband and in doing so she
carries the weight of the Kingdom of Dyfed on her shoulders through the weaknesses of her husband.
(Emrys Evans 1978: 24). This is again displayed by her fixing his mistake. When looking at the

This is based upon findings that the majority receive short term sentences meaning that they are not
eligible for post release supervision. Also there appears to be limited resources specifically for
women, and their offending is less accepted in society. Furthermore, the majority of women are
affected by one, or a combination of the following factors; single parenthood, homelessness,
unemployment and addiction, thus indicating that re integration into the community will be more of a
challenge. It is acknowledged that efforts are being made to improve the services offered to women
via the introduction of NOMS (National Offender Manager Service), new policies and new legislation,
however these are not without some expected limitations. It is appreciated that women are not a
homogenous group of individuals and that some may not face any or as many resettlement problems
on release. Also, allowing individual choice and decision making are integral to avoid re offending
and allow effective re integration. Finally, I am aware that men do face resettlement needs, which may
differ from those of females but can also be as problematic. Nevertheless these appear to be more
effectively addressed in accordance with the current climate and a system designed with, and for, male
offenders. Therefore actions need to be taken to redesign resettlement provisions so that better and

Use Of Stimulation And Observed The Shape Of Molecules
The purpose of experiment 9 is to use stimulation to observed the shape of molecules. This stimulation
follows the valence shell electron pair repulsion theory to show the basic shapes of molecules and its
effects on polarity. The shapes of molecules are represented by molecular and electron geometry. The
electronic shape is determined by the number of electron domains, which include lone pairs and bond
pairs. An example from the stimulation is H2O, which has 2 bonding pair and 2 lone pair. Therefore, it
has four electron domain and is considered to have a tetrahedral electronic shape. However, the
molecular geometry is not tetrahedral because molecular geometry only counts the bond pair as
electron domain. Hence, the molecular ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If the electronegativity between the atoms in a bond is lower than .4, the bond is not considered polar.
Since there is no polar bond, there will be negligible dipole moment to make the molecule polar.
When the electronegativity between the atoms in a bond is greater than .4, it will be polar. However,
anything past 2.0 EN will be consider an ionic bond. In addition, the molecular geometry does
determine if the molecule is polar or not. If the same type of bond pairs is placed in 90 or 180 degree
from the central atom, their diploe moment can cancel out. Therefore, the molecule will be considered
nonpolar. CO2 is an example that fits this trend. In these situation, molecules can still be nonpolar
even with polar bond. Certain molecular geometries such as trigonal planar, tetrahedral, and square
planar are consider nonpolar because of how bond pairs are arrange to cancel the dipole moment.
Generally, if the distribution of electron density is very high on a certain atom, there is a chance it may
be a polar bond or lone pair. If the atom is very electronegative, it will pull more electrons toward it.
As seen in the stimulation, increasing the electronegativity of atom A will increase the electron density
of electron A while decreasing from atom B. Lone pairs have more localized electron whereas bonds
have delocalized electrons because they are shared between atoms. Therefore, atom with lone pairs
tend to have higher electron density. As mention

Examples Of Lying In Huckleberry Finn
Lying is known as a bad thing, but sometimes it can be used for good. Dishonesty just depends on how
you utilize it. In the story, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, by Mark Twain you will see lying
happening very often. When Huckleberry Finn lies it is usually for a good purpose. While the king and
duke use it for more greedy reasons. Huckleberry Finn was a very caring character to me. He used his
lying for the good things in life. Everybody in their lifetime lies at some point, and hopefully most of
the time it s for the better. For example, Huck was often lying to protect or help his friend Jim. In

would rather just tell little lies to keep Jim out of trouble. Not only does Huck lie for unselfish reasons,
but he also feels very bad when he does lie. For instance, Huck feels very dishonest for lying to Mary
Jane and her sisters. Huckleberry Finn feels bad that the sisters have given these two frauds all the
money and property, so he decides to tell Mary Jane the truth about them. Don t you holler. Just set

The Consequences Of Alcohol Analysis
Alcohol is a very widely used drug, and is therefore present in many clinical and forensic toxicology
cases. Quantitation of alcohol levels in patients affects the clinical treatment they receive as well as
any legal consequences associated with the incident that led to their hospitalization. Alcohol analysis
and its consequences for postmortem cases also forms a large part of the forensic toxicologist s

Although gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GCMS) or gas chromatography flame ionization

However, there is still contention over its existence, prevalence, and severity; this is evidenced by
recent articles and court cases contesting its relevance [3,7] . It is problematic that almost every
mention of this phenomenon goes back to a single study in 1995 that failed to put the issue to rest [6].
Forensically, this research has multiple implications. The presence and level of alcohol in a victim or
perpetrator s system has great bearing on their behavior and frame of mind. As a result, the amount of
alcohol in a person s blood can serve as a strong piece of evidence. From a sentencing standpoint, the
level of legal consequences assigned to an individual is also be dependent on the amount of
intoxication detected [1]. With these consequences in mind, it is imperative that the test used to
measure ethanol levels is reliable and accurate. If there is a possibility that the enzymatic assays used
widely throughout hospitals can be inaccurate under certain conditions, it is necessary that the users
and interpreters of those assays know that interference can occur and when it might happen. If markers
can be developed to determine when further testing for ethanol should be done, the reliability of the
test will be greatly increased. In this study, the aim will be to determine if lactate and LDH in
clinically possible antemortem concentrations can cause a significant

The first factor was in regards to the actual effectiveness of the deicer by examining freezing point
depression and enthalpy of dissolution. In order to examine freezing point depression, different
amount of NaCl were added to water and the change in temperature was measured. The results
showed that as the amount of solute increased, so did the change in temperature. Enthalpy of
dissolution was also examined in an attempt to find whether or not the reaction between a deicing
agent and water would be endothermic or exothermic. NaCl and KCl were both found to be
endothermic, while CaCl2 and MgCl2 were found to be exothermic. Based on the ability to depress
freezing point, and the exothermic reactivity, MgCl2 was found to be the most effective deicing agent.
Impact on the environment was also examined. Although all Chloride based deicing compounds are
detrimental to the environment, much of the problem stems from the amount of cations which seep
into the surrounding area. Under the preceding notion, MgCl2 was found to be the most environmental
friendly as it holds the greatest potential for freezing point depression and exothermic reactivity
amongst the compounds examined. This means that for every one unit of MgCl2 used, significantly
more units of another compound would be necessary. But, due to factors such as humidity, MgCl2 and
CaCl2 are not the choice by state officials as they have potential to

Critical Analysis The Death Of The Ball Turret Gunner
A Doomed Fate A Critical Analysis of Three Messages in Randall Jarrell s, Gunner Douglas
MacArthur, an American general during World War II, described those who fight in war as, The
soldier, above all others, prays for peace; for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest
wounds and scars of war. Throughout history, war has been a part of every nation. From medieval
times to present day, there have been a countless number of wars fought and even more human lives
lost. Many short stories and poems have been written about the hard times of war, but none have been
quite as inspirational as Randall Jarrell s, The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner. This five line poem
described what it was like to be a ball turret gunner during ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

These men, such as the ball turret gunners, were of the most brave and fearless men to serve for the
United States. Often, a person would think that no one would wish to be tasked with the mission of
being a ball turret gunner; however, according to the article, How to Become a Ball Turret Gunner and
Dr. Tim McGee, the waiting list to become a ball turret gunner was the longest in World War II. The
article states, The men who served as gunners in World War II understood the dangers of the job they
were signing themselves up for (David Sears). These men knew that they would be facing certain
death if they chose to take position on the belly of an American army plane. Jarrell writes, Six miles
from earth, loosed from its dream of life... (3). No man who signed up for this horrendous job
expected to live more than three air trips. This just goes to prove how crucial it is to appreciate those
who are willing to risk their lives just so others do not have to suffer. The last, and possibly most
heartbreaking message in, The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner, is that no one is guaranteed a life on
this earth tomorrow. During hard war times, such as World War II, thousands of young soldiers are
called upon to fight for their nation whether or not they believe in what they re fighting for. While
some were deathly afraid to serve during the war,

Charles Lee
Charles Lee: General in the American Revolutionary War
By David E. LaClair Jr
Charles Lee, a general in the American Revolutionary war, is a historic figure in American history.
Serving under George Washington, Charles Lee participated in a number of battles. However, history
says Charles Lee was treacherous to the cause, all the while that he was in command during that time;
he was acting in bad faith toward the Americans. His influence in the army was, at all times,
mischievous (General Charles Lee: Traitor of the American Revolution). To the British, Charles Lee
was a traitor who turned on England to fight under George Washington. Due to Charles Lee s
treacherous actions against America, it would lead to his downfall in the ... Show more content on

Most of the credit rightfully belonged to Colonel Moultrie because nine warships mounting nearly 270
guns (cannon) were soundly defeated by Colonel William Moultrie. Also, with limited ammunition,
Moultrie s orders were not to waste fire (Preservation Society of Charleston). When Washington gave
Lee another command sometime after, Lee was reluctant to carry it out. Lee questioned Washington s
ability, possibly from his earlier experience with Washington at Braddock s. Some have speculated
that Lee wanted to see his superior defeated so that he could take command of the continental army
(US History, War for Independence). In December 1776, Lee left his army to spend the evening in
White s Tavern in Basking Ridge, New Jersey (US History, War for Independence). Things may have
gone good to Lee at first, having nice food and being around women, but all that changed when Lee
stayed the night at the tavern and woke up the next morning. When morning came, Lee was surprised
by the arrival of British troops under Benastre Tarleton, a former comrade who had sworn an oath in a
London club to track down and decapitate Lee. Following a brief skirmish during which escape routes
were cut off, a humiliated Lee was taken prisoner and removed to New York City (US History, War for
Independence). Because of Lee s lust and desire to get away from battle, lent him to be captured by
the very same people who considered him a traitor. This news eventually reached Washington s ears;

Analysis Of William Shakespeare s Romeo And Juliet
Introduction What s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell just as
sweet. This quote from Shakespeare is from the balcony scene when Juliet tells Romeo that his name
is meaningless and that he is still a handsome young man and that only their family names are
enemies. This same quote can be applied in today s society in how people address each other based on
different situations, especially when addressing women. There are many different titles that can be
used to address women as opposed to men, but despite the title used, the woman herself does not
change. Only the meaning and stereotype associated with the title used changes.
Throughout the years, the titles used to address women have slowly shifted meaning from that of a
social status to that of a marital status. Erickson (2014) explains that the titles Miss and Mrs. are the
oldest coined terms used to address women, and both of them derive from the title Mistress. Both titles
were generally only used for those of higher power and status. Miss described young girls while Mrs. ,
described women who had governed subjects, was skilled, or who taught. Upon reaching adulthood, a
Miss became a Mrs. , and according to the Oxford English Dictionary, it was common for older,
unmarried women to still use the title Mrs. so they could increase their standing to be on par with
married women. This was why sometimes this referred to as a title of politeness or courtesy title. But

Hypertext and Literary Study Essay
Hypertext and Literary Study
Hypertextual fiction (hyperfiction) and other hypertext applications are making their way into the
literature courses where, Professor Larry Friedlander says, learning has basically meant the study of
texts, in the form of the printed word (257). And these newer works, inseparable from their
contemporary technologies, offer the possibility of a very different type of literary study than the one
most English majors experience in traditional literature courses. Print and book technology perpetuate
and validate linear experience, thought, and narratives, which buttresses a hierarchical educational
structure that shapes the roles of writers, readers, teachers, and students. Challenging our trust in the ...

I. Fixed in Print: Our Inheritances from the Renaissance
As readers and as scholars many of us tend not to identify the organizational layout of print books as
evidence of socially valued formats regarding the proper forms of narrative, thought, and conveying
meaning. To many modern readers print technology is just the natural form for narrative entertainment
or study. Although printed texts just seem natural, they reinforce concepts of stability, finality,
authority, and even immortality. The pursuit of a final authoritative, authentic text not unrelated to the
final draft students submit in literature courses is an endeavor of great historical significance,
especially in terms of literary history. It was establishing the original text that the Renaissance
scholars thought their main task ..., notes Richard Lanham, The aim of all this was to fix the text
forever (quoted in Slatin 155). One of the icons of the English literary canon, Shakespeare himself
went so far as to praise the immortality of print in his famous sonnet sequence. Many of his sonnets
like 19, 55, and 60 contain references to the lasting quality of art; however, the poet is not simply

Birth Interval
The fit of Model~II shows that both the linear and squared effects of the maternal age at first birth are
significant, which indicates that initially the risk of next birth increases as the mother s age at first
birth increases and after a certain age at first birth, this risk starts decreasing. The estimated age at the
first birth corresponding to the maximum risk of the next birth are 17.58, 17.83, and 18.08 years for
2004, 2007, and 2011, respectively. Parity is found to be significant and the risk of the next birth

Mothers with one child (boy or girl) are more likely to have next birth compared to the mothers with a
balanced number of children (one girl and one boy) over the study period. For the three surveys,
mothers with one boy (girl) have 17% (28%) more likelihood of the next birth compared to the
mothers with one girl and one boy. There is no significant difference in the likelihood of next birth
between mothers with two boys, and that of with one girl and one boy. However, mothers with two
girls are more likely to have shorter intervals compared with the mothers with a boy and a girl (HR:
1.089). Moreover, a significant interaction between family composition and survey year describes the
change in the birth spacing behavior of mothers having different number of children relative to the
balanced number of children over time. The interaction suggests that the mothers with one child (boy
or girl) and two girl children still have shorter birth interval, though the likelihood is decreasing over
the years.
In all the models considered above, it has been found that the survival status of the index child has a
significant effect on the likelihood of having next child. Effect of child survival status on the timing of
births is in the expected direction, and mothers with previous children alive has 60% less likelihood
of next birth compared to the mothers who lost their previous child (Model~II). A significant
interaction between the survival status of the previous child and survey year reveals that the effect of

Persuasive Speech On Hope For Hope
For days, we ve despaired about the fate of the people who are trapped in the North. Today, there is
cause for hope. Only a few hours ago, I received word that a small group of people survived in New
York City against all odds and in the face of tremendous adversity. I ve ordered an immediate search
and rescue mission to bring them home and to look for more survivors.
I Now president Becker kept this promise. The army has sent down a few hundred helicopters to the
north to search for anyone who survived the freezing in the north. Everybody found will immediately
be flown down to Texas to be treated in one of our 365 hospitals to double check that everyone is safe
and healthy. While in the hospitals the police will be taking names to help find family and our friends
who survived while trying to find out who might not have. I will continue to be the president since our
president s plane sadly crashed due to the weather. Our government will stay remotely the same
however we have to move our white house to a different location. The new location will be at the
Symphony Towers in San Diego Texas. We advise everyone to not panic and to please stay in your
towns while the police try to track down everyone s family. However anybody that is still alive and
receiving this message in the northern part of California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri,
Kentucky, Tennessee Virginia and North Carolina we advise you to move south because you are

latitude) where sadly everything is frozen or covered in mountains of snow. The caution zone are the
places just pervious listed. The caution zone is also going to be pretty cold. We will most likely move
scientist and soldiers up there to protect and find out how to fix this issue but we would appreciate if
anybody still up there relocate to a much safer place however Florida is currently flooded and
California is torn up from the tornado. There is also the freebie zone MEANING you can live

Advantages Of Qualitative Research
5 Qualitative Research
5.1 Methodology
As the aim of the research is to identify the relationship between the CSR and the brand trust, focus
group would be the most appropriate approach to collect a diverse range of individuals opinions in a
short time (Rabiee, 2007). Moreover, Focus group would encourage participants to communicate with
each other, which would generate more data which cannot be collected by one to one depth interview,
this could be termed as the group effect (Carey Smith 1994). Morgan Krueger (1993) also point out
that focus group would observe the participants attitude about the social problems.
The objective of qualitative research is to collect the individuals views and support the quantitative
research design. The focus group is considered as a technique, which implements the depth group
interview to collect the data and evaluate the identified variables are relevant for the study (Rabiee,
2007). Richardson Rabiee (2001) argue that participants should be selected according to the following
criteria: First, they have the relevant life experiences and have something to state on the topic. Second,
it would be better that they are not fearful of expressing the opinions among the participants. Third,
they could feel comfortable communicating with each other.
To collect more valuable data, the focus group was divided into two groups, each group has 5
participants. They were conducted in one of the group members flat on 1st November and 2nd

Analysis Of The Article Mitosis Can Drive Cell...
In the article, Mitosis Can Drive Cell Cannibalism Through Entosis , Joanne Durgen (et al.) suggests
that cell division may cause living cells to engulf each other by invading another living cell. Although
the word cannibalism sounds terrible, cell eating cell is very descriptive of what happens in this
process and is shown that it may be beneficial in limiting tumor growth. Briefing over where entosis is
found and what it does, what proteins regulate the entosis process, and possible beneficial
characteristics in human cancer and chemotherapy in this article may give a better understanding of
this microscopic process.
First, let s start with entosis. The beginning of the article states that this cell swallowing process
happens in homotypic epithelial cells (Durgan et al.). It is shown that the functions of this process uses
clinging junctions and the production of actomyosin based contractions. A cell pushing into or
invading into a deformed one gives a way of engulfment. Durgan also shows that the process just gone
over triggers the matrix to break down, causing it to be unstable and unable to resist the force coming
from another cell. In a figurative sense, entosis is like bumpers cars. One of the cars has a faulty

  • 6. Lab Report On Boiling Points Laura Breuning Lab Report 4 Abstract This experiment evaluated and reviewed the concepts used to identify unknown molecules. The experiment includes a boiling point trial, a melting point trial and an infrared spectrometry trial. All of the following were proved as sufficient methods to identify the unknown molecules. Introduction In this lab, we will be using boiling points, melting points and infrared spectrometry to identify unknown compounds. Boiling points are affect by three key factors the first being intermolecular forces. Inter molecular affect boiling point based on bond strength. This is directly related to what functional group is attached. Ionic bonding is said to cause a higher boiling point then the other intermolecular forces, due to a strong attraction in the bond. The two other factors that affect boiling point would be the number of carbons and amount of branching of carbon chain (3 Trends that affect boiling points). Infrared spectrometry is irradiating a sample with infrared frequencies, which then shows what frequencies were absorbed. The absorbance numbers can then be directly tied to certain functional groups (Klein, 2007). All of these concepts will be used and evaluated during this lab. Methods Part 1: Melting point First collect a melting point apparatus, a capillary test tube. Collect a small amount of the #666 unknown in the capillary test tube approximately enough to cover 2 cm of the capillary test tube. Then place the capillary test ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Personal Reflection Of Journalism As An Elective Class When I first selected Journalism as my Elective class I would be challenged in ways I had never experienced in the conventional classroom before. After a full year of the class, I found that while this was demonstrated to be true, the real challenge came from learning how to channel my self motivation and intrinsic passion as opposed to external pressures like harsh due dates and grading. I have never before in my life been given the opportunity to write about my passions and interests for a grade, nor have I had the chance to write on behalf of a respected school institution. My motivations in journalism were essentially flipped from those of the conventional classroom, where my grades are motivated by the institutional pressures of the school, and my actual learning of the subject is motivated by my personal interest in the class. Instead in journalism, my grades are dependent on my personal interests, and my actual learning of the subject is dependent on the institutional pressures of working for such an esteemed organization. This has provided me with a much more realistic educational experience, relative to the professional world, as I am motivated internally to produce content at the job of my choice and externally to conform to the expectations of my employer. This stimulation follows the valence shell electron pair repulsion theory to show the basic shapes of molecules and its effects on polarity. The shapes of molecules are represented by molecular and electron geometry. The electronic shape is determined by the number of electron domains, which include lone pairs and bond pairs. An example from the stimulation is H2O, which has 2 bonding pair and 2 lone pair. Therefore, it has four electron domain and is considered to have a tetrahedral electronic shape. However, the molecular geometry is not tetrahedral because molecular geometry only counts the bond pair as electron domain. However, anything past 2.0 EN will be consider an ionic bond. In addition, the molecular geometry does determine if the molecule is polar or not. If the same type of bond pairs is placed in 90 or 180 degree from the central atom, their diploe moment can cancel out. Therefore, the molecule will be considered nonpolar. CO2 is an example that fits this trend. In these situation, molecules can still be nonpolar even with polar bond. Certain molecular geometries such as trigonal planar, tetrahedral, and square planar are consider nonpolar because of how bond pairs are arrange to cancel the dipole moment. Generally, if the distribution of electron density is very high on a certain atom, there is a chance it may be a polar bond or lone pair. If the atom is very electronegative, it will pull more electrons toward it. As seen in the stimulation, increasing the electronegativity of atom A will increase the electron density of electron A while decreasing from atom B. Lone pairs have more localized electron whereas bonds have delocalized electrons because they are shared between atoms. Therefore, atom with lone pairs tend to have higher electron density. This same quote can be applied in today s society in how people address each other based on different situations, especially when addressing women. There are many different titles that can be used to address women as opposed to men, but despite the title used, the woman herself does not change. Only the meaning and stereotype associated with the title used changes. I agree with the author one of the worst things you can do is to assign a non certified staff person to a shadow a child. Although, I have never worked in the school system as a paraprofessional my son had a professional in elementary school and he hated it. Birth Interval The fit of Model~II shows that both the linear and squared effects of the maternal age at first birth are significant, which indicates that initially the risk of next birth increases as the mother s age at first birth increases and after a certain age at first birth, this risk starts decreasing. The estimated age at the first birth corresponding to the maximum risk of the next birth are 17.58, 17.83, and 18.08 years for 2004, 2007, and 2011, respectively. Mothers with one child (boy or girl) are more likely to have next birth compared to the mothers with a balanced number of children (one girl and one boy) over the study period. For the three surveys, mothers with one boy (girl) have 17% (28%) more likelihood of the next birth compared to the mothers with one girl and one boy. There is no significant difference in the likelihood of next birth between mothers with two boys, and that of with one girl and one boy. However, mothers with two girls are more likely to have shorter intervals compared with the mothers with a boy and a girl (HR: 1.089). Moreover, a significant interaction between family composition and survey year describes the change in the birth spacing behavior of mothers having different number of children relative to the balanced number of children over time. The interaction suggests that the mothers with one child (boy or girl) and two girl children still have shorter birth interval, though the likelihood is decreasing over the years. In all the models considered above, it has been found that the survival status of the index child has a significant effect on the likelihood of having next child. Effect of child survival status on the timing of births is in the expected direction, and mothers with previous children alive has 60% less likelihood of next birth compared to the mothers who lost their previous child (Model~II). Only a few hours ago, I received word that a small group of people survived in New York City against all odds and in the face of tremendous adversity. I ve ordered an immediate search and rescue mission to bring them home and to look for more survivors. I Now president Becker kept this promise. The army has sent down a few hundred helicopters to the north to search for anyone who survived the freezing in the north. Everybody found will immediately be flown down to Texas to be treated in one of our 365 hospitals to double check that everyone is safe and healthy. While in the hospitals the police will be taking names to help find family and our friends who survived while trying to find out who might not have. I will continue to be the president since our president s plane sadly crashed due to the weather. Our government will stay remotely the same however we have to move our white house to a different location. The new location will be at the Symphony Towers in San Diego Texas. We advise everyone to not panic and to please stay in your towns while the police try to track down everyone s family. However anybody that is still alive and receiving this message in the northern part of California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee Virginia and North Carolina we advise you to move south because you are currently in our caution zone. There are only three of these zones I speak of. The dead zone, ( 37° latitude) where sadly everything is frozen or covered in mountains of snow. The caution zone are the places just pervious listed. The caution zone is also going to be pretty cold. We will most likely move scientist and soldiers up there to protect and find out how to fix this issue but we would appreciate if anybody still up there relocate to a much safer place however Florida is currently flooded and California is torn up from the tornado. Advantages Of Qualitative Research 5 Qualitative Research 5.1 Methodology As the aim of the research is to identify the relationship between the CSR and the brand trust, focus group would be the most appropriate approach to collect a diverse range of individuals opinions in a short time (Rabiee, 2007). Moreover, Focus group would encourage participants to communicate with each other, which would generate more data which cannot be collected by one to one depth interview, this could be termed as the group effect (Carey Smith 1994). It is the constant bickering between the people of opposing political ideologies that make the news difficult for the common man to take with a grain of salt. Beck often uses what seem to be scare tactics to get of his points across; whereas Schultz is more likely to give you his own opinion mixed in with some facts to make it all seem completely true. Neither method is successful in trying to create a balanced news outlet. In fact, the opinions of each side are grounded so far in the left or right that the middle is impossible to find. I purpose that Beck should visit MSNBC for a time, while Schultz takes a turn at FNC. In the article, Mitosis Can Drive Cell Cannibalism Through Entosis , Joanne Durgen (et al.) suggests that cell division may cause living cells to engulf each other by invading another living cell. Although the word cannibalism sounds terrible, cell eating cell is very descriptive of what happens in this process and is shown that it may be beneficial in limiting tumor growth. Briefing over where entosis is found and what it does, what proteins regulate the entosis process, and possible beneficial characteristics in human cancer and chemotherapy in this article may give a better understanding of this microscopic process. First, let s start with entosis. The beginning of the article states that this cell swallowing process happens in homotypic epithelial cells (Durgan et al.). It is shown that the functions of this process uses clinging junctions and the production of actomyosin based contractions. A cell pushing into or invading into a deformed one gives a way of engulfment. Durgan also shows that the process just gone over triggers the matrix to break down, causing it to be unstable and unable to resist the force coming from another cell.
