Mosquito Flying Optimization ( Mfo )
Mosquito Flying Optimization (MFO)
Subtitle as needed (paper subtitle)
Md. Alauddin,
Assistant Professor,
Deptt. of Petroleum Studies, AMU, Aligarh, India
Abstract This is a new optimization algorithm which mimic the behavior of mosquito to find a hole in
mosquito net, if any. Both the flying and sliding motion of the mosquito have been modelled and
incorporated in the algorithm. The algorithm was tested for global minima on different type of
benchmark functions of various dimension and modality. Namely Gramacy Lee, Ackley, Rastrigin,
Rosenbrock, Griewank and Schwefel functions of one, two, five, ten and thirty dimensions. The
experiment was done with thirty different seeds generated randomly for each function and dimension.
The algorithm was found to be efficient, convergent and accurate.
Keywords Evolutionary algorithm, MFO, PSO, GA, ACO, Benchmark optimization function
I: Introduction
Optimization can be defined as the search for the best possible solution(s) to a given problem. For this,
there are a number of optimization techniques both conventional and new meta heuristics. The
conventional methods are gradient based which are although quite faster in convergence, but are not
applicable for discontinuous, non differentiable and complex multimodal functions. These techniques
have limitations to find the global optima and have general tendency to stuck at local optima as they
start with a single point. Hence there are exhaustive search methods to tackle

A Project On The Project Life Cycle
Discussion Board Forum 3 Sana Gilani Liberty University BUSI 650 April 23, 2016 The Project Life
Cycle Explanation A project is a transitory effort attempted to develop an exceptional merchandize or
service. Since all projects are distinctive in nature and include a specific level of ambiguity, they are
distributed into particular stages that improve and support overall management and control. According
to Hormozi, McMinn, and Nzeogwu (2000), every projects have a life cycle and they are born from an
idea, develop into a finished product or service, and then terminate (p.45). The stages or phases of
project life cycles may vary depending on management strategy, industry, application/ methodology
being used for a particular project. However, in general the project life cycle stages include: (1)
Initializing, (2) planning, (3) execution, (4) controlling, and (5) closing or termination. Meredith and
Shafer (2013) explained stretched S and exponential life cycle within the text book. In the stretched S
life cycle, the progress is slow in the initial phase but it takes speed during the implementing phase
and during the closing stage, as per Meredith and Shafer (2013), the more difficult tasks that were
postponed earlier must now be completed, yet people are being drawn off the project and activity is
winding down, so the end keeps slipping out of reach (p. 211). Whereas, in the exponential life cycle,
there is continuous activity on numerous aspects of

A Brief Note On The Context ( Iad )
Biophysical Context (IAD)
a) Natural Infrastructure
There is specifically no natural element involved in an EV industry. Except for the fact that we are
trying to conserve natural fossil fuels and reduce the problems of exhaust emissions from internal
combustion engines by encouraging EVs as mode of transportation. EVs are man made solution to the
depletion of natural resources and climate change.
b) Human made infrastructure
To power an electric vehicle, consumers must have the ability to connect their vehicle to a source of
electricity, the utility must have the capacity to transmit and distribute this additional power and
sufficient electricity generation capacity must exist. The onus is on the government as well as the
private sector to meet these three conditions i.e. providing 1. Charging equipment 2. Distribution
capacity and 3. Electricity generation. The charging equipment is not very expensive and it would not
be difficult for households and commercial enterprises to install them. The adequacy of the generation
and distribution systems need to be upgraded and monitored and necessary investments need to be
made to keep up with the increasing demand from EVs. Finally, if there emerges the need for a rapid
electrification campaign, the utilities will be under pressure to build new facilities and the older coal
fired power plants will remain in use, ironically diluting the environmental benefits of EV adoption
strategy. Therefore, adequate expansion of infrastructure

Tap Dancing History
The history of tap originated in the United States from many styles of dance forms from different
ethnicities such as African Tribal, Scottish Dance, Irish and English clog dances and jigs. Ever since
then tap has been updated in many types of styles. Tap is a form of dance using tap shoes (shoes with
metal plates in the heel and ball of the foot) striking the floor as a form of percussion. It is believed
that African slaves and Irish servants had watched each other dancing on the plantations and combined
them together to invent tap dancing, before it was believed that tap dancing came from an urban
environment such as the Five Points District in New York City, where many ethnic groups lived
together. Tap started between the mid and late 1800 s, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Leonard Reed said there wasn t a show that didn t feature tap dancing. If you couldn t dance you
couldn t get a job! All kinds of shows featured tap dancing like nightclubs, vaudeville shows and
musicals. Since tap dancing was a common skill, tap dancers had to create something unique to be
noticed. The Berry Brothers act included rhythmic, synchronized cane twirling and dazzling acrobatics
to pop out. Soon newer styles were invented such as flash, novelty, eccentric, legomania and comedy,
swing tap also known as classical tap, class, military, rhythm, close floor and paddle and roll. Flash is
a style of dance that incorporated acrobatics and were often used to finish a dance. Novelty is the
incorporation into a routine of specialty props, such as jump ropes, suitcases, and stairs. Eccentric,
legomania and comedy each used the body in eccentric and comedic ways to fool the eye and
characteristically involved wild and wiggly leg movements. Swing/classical tap combines the upper
body movement found in 20th century ballet and jazz with percussive, syncopated footwork, a style
used extensively in the movies. Military is the use of military marching and drum rhythms. Lastly
rhythm, close floor and paddle and roll each emphasized footwork using heel and toe taps, typically of

Gender Schema Theory
My first research showcase presentation was Gender Differences in Physical Activity Levels and
presenters were Petrona Gregoria, Britanny Whetsel, Dora Pena, Cassidy Heidt. Their hypothesis was
boys would have higher level of physical activities than girls. They came up with this hypothesis
because obesity level in the U.S. is increasingly among young children. The Gender Schema Theory
suggests a view of how each gender should act, what is expected and accepted of their gender.
Researchers observed the children and after they observed them, they did an independent t test. The
method was clearly described. They had 32 participants (50% boys) between ages 3 4, were observed

Essay on Federal Reserve Act
The Federal Reserve: A Knight in Shining Armor
quot;To suffer either the solicitation of merchants or the wishes
of government, to determine the measure of the bank issues,
is unquestionably to adopt a very false principle of conduct. quot;
Henry Thornton, 1802
The banker was frantic. A large mob was gathering outside his bank and the people were clamoring for
their money. The banker called the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis and warned that unless this
quot;mad run quot; were stopped, he would soon be out of currency. With the bank nearly two

The credit system of the country had ceased to operate, and thousands of firms went into bankruptcy
(Born...,.12). Something had to be done that would provide for a flexible amount of currency as well
as provide cohesion between banks across the United States. (Hepburn, 399) This knight in shining
armor, as described in the story of the bank run, was the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve Act of
1913 helped to establish banks as a united force working for the people instead of independent
agencies working against each other. By providing a flexible amount of currency, banks did not have
to hoard their money in fear of a bank run. Because of this, there was no competitive edge to see who
could keep the most currency on hand and a more expansionary economy was possible.
The evolution of the Federal Reserve did not begin on December 23, 1913 with the passage of the
Federal Reserve Act. Rather, it began with the Banking Panic of 1907, the most severe of the four
national banking panics that had occurred in the precious thirty four years.
In response to this panic, a committee was established to find the flaws of the current banking system.
This committee, the National Monetary Commission, found there were two main flaws dominating the
system. First, the currency was not responsive to changes in demand. (Born...13). This meant that the
bank had a fixed amount of currency, regardless of the

The Shining Path Or El Sendero Luminoso
Known as one of the most dangerous and violent terrorist organizations in the world, the Shining Path
or El Sendero Luminoso in Spanish of Peru was unique in various aspects. Although now considered a
menace to Peruvian society, the Shining Path still remains as a significant reference for revolutionary
movements. Living in an age of terror, Peru was a country of disorder and corruption; the road to
liberation was a far way to go. For years, demagogic candidates turned dictatorial leaders were filled
with an insatiable hunger to fight for power and dominance. They mainly spent money on military
forces, drugs, and other frivolous things; yet all failed to simply provide for the people who needed
them most. Living was almost nonexistent and an illusion with an impoverished economy. The
country remained socioeconomically stagnant. Promises were never made and Peruvians became more
desperate, angry, and resentful by the day. Emotions gradually fueled their fires into strong burning
passions. This was more than enough to spark a revolutionary movement to eternally live on. No
matter how vile and wicked it would resort to, the people were ready. Everyone just wanted to survive.
And that was exactly where the Shining Path came into the picture. Despite how unconventional this
shining path was, it brought a promising future to the voices dying to be heard.
Shining Path was a frightening guerilla force profoundly isolationist and sectlike. The terrorist
organization established in

My New Ideas During The Renaissance
During the Renaissance, my new ideas became popular and more people wanted to make their society
better. In order for all this to happen, people needed to spread the word about the new ideas. Three
factors that contributed to spreading the word of the Renaissance are trade, books and printing, and the
governments at the time. However, some factors helped contribute more, or they had a greater impact
on the people. The most powerful factor was books and printing, and the least helpful factor was the
government s. Books and printing were among the most influential of all the factors. When Johann
Gutenberg invented the movable printing press, printing became much easier and faster than ever
before. When people started using the printing

Pros And Disadvantages Of Evolution
Serious scientific publications disputing evolution are all but nonexistent. Most claims that deniers of
the evolution manage to come up with are effortlessly refuted with the help of logic and common
sense. Even if their objections are flimsy, the sheer number and diversity of the claims challenging the
ideas of evolution can put even well informed people at a disadvantage. One of the strongest
arguments providing grounds for doubting evolution is so called irreducible complexity which says
that living things have tremendously complex features at the anatomical, cellular and molecular levels
that could not function if they were any less intricate or sophisticated. This argument may be
considered quite strong because even Charles Darwin wrote in chapter 6 of his famous work On the
Origin of Species : If it could be dеmonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not
possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely
break down. [5]
Indeed, many people find it difficult to imagine how from two elementary notions random mutation,
and the filtering power of the environment have emerged, over millennia, such marvels as eyes, the
wings of birds and the human brain. According to Michael Behe, researcher of biochemistry and
professor at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, evolution simply cannot produce complex structures
in a single generation as would be required for the formation of irreducibly complex

The Middle Passage
The introduction of international trade throughout the continent provided the Americas with goods
once thought unattainable. Different trade routes began to stem from the original triangle route. All of
these routes had one goal; to transport the goods in high demand in the most time and cost efficient
way. The different branches were trading systems between the America s, Europe, and Africa.
Through these routes, captains traded goods and services such as slaves, sugar, tobacco, cotton,
textiles, and many other manufactured goods. One history changing route was the Middle Passage.
The course of this route was used to transport kidnapped Africans so they could be enslaved in the
Americas. Within a three hundred year period, it is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Slaves were forced to survive in the bowels of the ship with contaminated water and foreign, non

slaves below...were mostly thrown to the side, where they lay heaped on top of each other...fifteen of
[the slaves] were smothered (Document D). Made helpless because of their chains, slaves would begin
to roll and pile on top of one another after large storms or waves rocked the boat. Many of these
events resulted in the suffocation of those on the bottom of the piles, for they would not be relieved
from their positions for many hours after the crew made their rounds, and righted all the piles. On top
of this, poor ventilation compounded the problems of a slave struggling to breathe. Olaudah Equiano

close quarters in the tween decks, diseases spread quickly, often plaguing entire rows at one time.
Both the dead and living slaves coexisted in the tween decks, with the rotting bodies of passed slaves

Feed is another zombie book that answers the question: What would happen to the news if the dead
rose. The angle they took was blogging; people became professional bloggers, and no one would
follow the major news because they were too slow. While CNN would potentially be saying man from
car crash rises and starts biting people while the blog would say is this the first zombie and a few
people would start buying water and non perishable food. Similarly Fox is saying, The Dead are

Scaphoid Report Sample
Summery
Background
Clinical evaluation of suspected scaphoid injury is based on history, inspection and physical
examination. Improving the accuracy of the non radiological part of the evaluation will limit
unnecessary immobilization and expensive imaging modalities when standard radiographs appear
normal.
Objectives
To provide an overview of available clinical evaluation tests for scaphoid fractures and to compare
their diagnostic accuracies.
Methods
We performed a systematic review of all studies assessing diagnostic characteristics of clinical
evaluation in scaphoid fractures by searching MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane, and CINAHL
databases. Only studies on clinical testing prior to radiographic evaluation and with acceptable
reference standard for occult fractures were included. Thirteen relevant articles were analysed that
described a total of 25 tests. Diagnostic characteristics of the tests were used to construct contingency
tables. If possible, data were pooled and summary receiver operating characteristic curves (SROC)
were fitted.
Results
The search provided 2072 titles of which 13 were relevant and eligible for data extraction. A total of

The Stop And Frisk Policy
Patrol officers spend numerous hours a day patrolling the streets; many of these hours are used
executing the Stop and Frisk Policy. The Stop and Frisk Policy has caused a lot of controversy
nationwide. Recently there have been many cases where the Stop and Frisk Policy has resulted in the
death of an unarmed individual, typically an African American male. On July 17, 2014, Eric Gardner
died while being arrested for selling individual cigarettes. The police used the Stop and Frisk Policy
because they had reasonable suspicion. While police were arresting Garner an officer placed him in a
choke hold, while three other man were attempting to take him down as well. The officer that had him
in the choke hold ended his life. This incident was caught on camera and caused a lot of controversy
because the officer that had him in the choke hold was found innocent by the grand jury (Mathias,
2014, p. 1). Although it has been proven that the Stop and Frisk Policy has prevented some crime, the
communities reaction to it demonstrates that the policy creates a negative impact in communities
where this policy is implemented. Many individuals feel that this policy is a violation of the Fourth
Amendment right, is typically only used on minorities, and is very ineffective. Stop and frisk is a
practice that permits a police officer to stop any individual if the officer has reason to believe criminal
activity may be afoot (Fallon, 2013, p. 321). There are many cases that ruled in favor

Discussion Of The NIPE Case Study
The newborn and infant physical examination, NIPE, is performed by a qualified NIPE practitioner
(Department of Health, DoH, 2015; Public Health England, PHE, 2013), within the first seventy two
hours of an infant s life. This screening consists of a head to toe examination of the infant, including,
but not limited to: the heart; the eyes; and the hips. During the examination, the practitioner will take
the time to promote good health and wellbeing of the infant, by teaching the family how to identify
signs of a well and unwell infant (Someren, 2013). The intention of the examination is to assess
whether the infant has any congenital abnormalities (DoH, 2015; PHE, 2013). The NIPE is a
developmental examination which is replicated between six and eight weeks after the infant s birth, to
screen for congenital disorders that become prominent in their physiology within this time period. ...

The Ceiling Art of Pozzo s Triumph of Sain Ignatius of...
#######poorly written######Pozzo s Triumph of Saint Ignatius of Loyola is on the ceiling of the
Church of Sant Ignazio in Rome, and was painted from 1685 1694. It is approximately 56 feet by 115
feet across the ceiling, and uses a quadratura perspective to create an almost three dimensional effect.
While the effect makes the center look much higher, it is actually painted on an arched ceiling called a
barrel vault. This is a fresco painting, a type of coloring that made the painting integral to the
construction of the building or item. Inside the Church of Sant Ignazio, there is a single white tile
indicating where the viewer is intended to stand to truly appreciate Pozzo s work. The scene illustrates
many different saints and other highly viewed people, all ascending towards the sky. There is also
allegorical figures of the 4 continents (America, Europe, Africa, and Asia) attached to the side of the
buildings windows at the base of the painting. The scene is filled with cherubs that seem to be aiding
the continents and saints. At the center of the painting, Saint Ignatius is following Christ into heaven,
with beams of light coming from his body towards the four continents. The arches at the ends of the
painting also add to the illusion that the center of the painting is much higher than the rest of it. Saint
Francis Xavier is also shown in the work ascending towards the heavens.

Descriptive Essay About My Day
In the silent neighborhood of Beall Avenue in Rockville, the alarm echoed for the fifth time to alert me
that it was about five AM in the morning. It was June eighth, the day that I had been anticipating since
I began ninth grade four years ago. High school graduation was finally here. My best friend and I got
up quickly and started our day. Agnes applied foundation on my rough face and filled in my eyebrows.
My lips were painted with rosy mauve and my smooth cheekbones illuminated. My hair was curled
and I was ready to leave my best friend s house. The birds chirped and slow R B jams played from my
car speakers as I made my way to my place. I parked my car, turned the lock, and witness a mess
before me. No one was ready.

At the station platform, there was a sea of diverse faces, some carrying a conversation, and some who
were listening to their early morning tunes. Many were in suits carrying a briefcase on their side while
I was with my flowy white dress, four inch black heels, and a black bag that I held in my hand,
standing next to my family.
The platform lights were blinking, signaling the metro was arriving shortly. Once it docked, the door
opened for some to get off, and some to get in. I had already discerned through the metro s transparent
windows that it barely had space for my family and I. The riders inside were firmly grasping the pole
for support, standing close to each other. My parents had decided then to wait for the next train. I
agreed and we were on the lookout for the next one.
About ten minutes later, another metro had finally appeared, and this one had standing room for the
four of us. It was not unexpected that there would be no seats and we were left standing with no
choice but to appreciate the bittersweet ride on that pleasant morning.
I grasped tightly to the bar, as I stood in my four inch heels trying to hide my annoyance. My feet

that would have comforted me and put my uneasiness to rest. I kept glancing over at my phone to

Essay about Social Classes in Wuthering Heights
Social Classes in Wuthering Heights
Wuthering Heights, a gothic novel written by Emily Bronte in the early nineteenth century, describes
the conflict and the passionate bond between Catherine Earnshaw and her rough but romantic lover,
Heathcliff. In the beginning of the book, Heathcliff, an orphan is made a part of the Earnshaw family.
This adoption is not readily accepted by the older brother, Hindley, who sees the new child as a rival
to his claim of dominance in the family. However, Catherine, the sister is quickly attracted to young
Heathcliff, so different from anyone she had ever known. As the two grow older, Heathcliff finds
himself falling in love with Catherine. Mr. Earnshaw soon dies, leaving Hindley in charge of the ...

Heathcliff is so desperate for acceptance that he is willing to cheat people to gain the property he
craves. By doing so he hopes to show
Catherine that he is worthy of her, a landowner in his own right.
After Catherine accepts Edgar s proposal, she seeks out Nelly and tells here that [I]t would degrade
[her] to marry Heathcliff now; so he shall never know how [she] love[s] him; and that, not because he
s handsome, Nelly, but because he s more [herself] than [she] [is].
Whatever [their] souls are made of, his and [hers] are the same, and
Linton s is as different as a moonbeam from lightning, or frost from fire. (Page 74, lines 29 33).
Heathcliff overhears this conversation between Nelly and Catherine and leaves Wuthering Heights
after hearing Catherine say that it would degrade her to marry him.
Heathcliff tries to make himself more presentable to Catherine by moving up the social system.
However, he does this by cheating and taking advantage of people. Heathcliff takes advantage of
Hindley s state of alcoholism and takes over Wuthering Heights. Heathcliff also takes advantage of
Edgar Linton s will my making young Catherine (the daughter of Catherine Earnshaw and Edgar
Linton) marry Linton (the son of Heathcliff and Isabella Linton) so he could acquire Thrushcross
Grange (where Edgar Linton lives).
Bronte seems to have mixed opinions of the lower class by characterizing Heathcliff positively and
negatively. Lockwood,

Prayer Of Your Servant And His Prayer Essay
regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O Lord my God, and listen to the cry and the
prayer which Your servant is praying before You: that your eyes may be open toward this temple day
and night, toward the place where You said You would put Your name, that You may hear the prayer
which Your servant makes toward this place. And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and
of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and
when you hear, forgive. (2 Chronicles 6:14 15, 18 21)
When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering
and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house
of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord s house. When all the children of Israel
saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed their faces to the
ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying: For He is good, For His mercy
endures forever. (2 Chronicles 7:1 3)
Lord, remember David and all his afflictions; How He swore to the Lord, and vowed to the Mighty
One of Jacob: Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, or go up to the comfort of my bed, I
will not give sleep to my eyelids, Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty
One of Jacob.

Aviation Company Karl Rapp
Initially starting as an aviation company set up by Karl Rapp which was established in 1913 was the
basis at which BMW began their long and illustrious tenor at the top of the luxury brand Automotive
industry. Although struggling initially due to poor engine designs which suffered from severe vibration
problems the company knows as Rapp Motorenwerke barely remained in business solely due to the
Austro Daimler being unable to keep up with the high demand of the V12 aircraft engines required by
the Austrian military. It was this inability to meet their demands that resulted in the decision for the
engines to be produced at Rapp Motorenwerke allowing them to remain in business. Franz Josef Popp
who was the lead supervising engineering at Austro Daimler was sent to Munich to supervise the
engine quality. Popp went on to become actively involved in the running of the company and was
behind the hiring of Max Friz who was a young and talented aircraft engineer. It would be the hiring
of Friz that would change the course of the company. Within a few weeks of his hiring Max Friz had
designed a new aero engine far superior to any other German aero engine currently being produced.
Following the departure of Rapp the company took on a large restructuring and BMW was first
established as a business entity in 1917. Large orders were being received for the BMW IIIa engine
designed by7 Max Friz and a high level of financial assistance were provided by officials in relevant

The Super Glue On The Front
Hey, go long! Matthew yelled at Jackson as he flung the football across the room. Jackson dove over
the couch for the football, but missed and wiped out. The football zipped over his head and crashed
into Matthew s mom s favorite painting of a small city which was hanging on the wall behind him.
The painting fell, Jackson shot up and ran over to the remains. The painting lay on the floor, the frame
cracked in half. Jackson became filled with panic. Matthew got the super glue from the kitchen and
brought it over to Jackson.
Your mom is going to freak when she sees this, Jackson said in fear.
She s not going to find out because we re going to fix it before she gets home, Matthew said as if it
really wasn t a big deal.
Matthew opened the super glue and dabbed it on the broken edges of the frame. He put the painting
into half the frame and attached the other half. The super glue on the frame began to glow.
What s going on?!?! Both boys yelled as they looked at each other in disbelief
The glow turned into a thick, dark, black smoke coming from the super glue on the frame. The room
filled with smoke and Jackson couldn t see anything. He called out for Matthew but there was no
answer. BOOM! The smoke was gone and so was the room, Jackson began screaming Matthew s
name finally he heard a response.
Matthew tapped on Jackson s shoulder, Where are we? he asked.
They looked around. They were in a city they had never seen before. Behind them was a tall apartment

Google Drive Collaboration Paper
Google Drive is a groundbreaking advancement for technological collaboration due to its simplistic
qualities and lack of financial cost to users. In April 2012, Google released Google Drive, consisting
of Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Sheets, also known as Google applications . All three
applications are innovative in their storage, integration, and sharing capabilities, which address users
needs by allowing multiple people to contribute to a document, presentation, or spreadsheet
simultaneously, streamlining the editing and group work process significantly. In fact, according to
Devaney (2018), collaboration is the name of the game with Google Drive (para. 1). This technology

collaborative learning and construction of collective knowledge. This was crucial to students
educational experience because it provided another outlet for peer interactions and the distribution of
knowledge (Jeong, 2016). Jeong (2016) discovered 90% of students appreciated the Google Drive
platform for the ways in which it enhanced active communication, autonomous class participation,
mutual collaboration, and dynamic classroom interaction (Jeong, 2016, p. 1). When students are
satisfied or perceive learning tools in a positive manner, they are more likely to be motivated to use
them in an effective way (Jeong, 2016). Further, Tan and Yongbeom (2011) examined how well
Google Docs facilitates group or organizational collaboration through its ability to allow users to work
asynchronously. They concluded when using Google Docs for a group project, the perceived
usefulness was statistically significant and positively affected satisfaction, a factor which has a strong
influence on the continued use of the application (Tan and Yongbeom, 2011). In a study using similar
variables of perceived use and ease of use, Davis (1989) found students perceptions of how
manageable Google applications were correlated with current and future usage. The performance and

Informative Speech On American Football
American football is widely enjoyed by our country. It is one of the top sports we participate in and
watch as a nation. Here I will be telling you why it is so significant to us as a nation, how it impacts us
and also how it is important to us. The history of football dates back to nearly 1860 s. It actually
evolved from another sport. That sport being rugby. Rugby is a very physical game. That is where
football gets it toughness from. The first ever game of football played was in November 6 of 1869.
The football game was between Rutgers and Princeton. Each team consisted of 25 players. Though out
time since then, rules have been changed and altered. The sport being very physical, led to injuries
amongst early players. Very little padding was used. Our president, Theodore Roosevelt was soon to
abolish the game itself if changes were not made. Rules and regulations were then made and added to
the sport. This turned out to be better for the players. Less injuries occurred to them. ... Show more

the offense team does not manage to score, the ball is the given to the other team. If the team does

Differences In The Middle England And The New England...
In the early 1600 s, English people, attempting to escape the economic crisis that had plagued
England, began migrating to the Americas and establishing colonies. The New England colonies and
the Chesapeake region were both settled largely by populations of people of English origin. Despite
this similarity, by 1700 the regions had evolved into two distinct societies. The difference in the kind
of people that settled, the shared communal values, and the profitability of the land in these areas are
what shaped these regions into contrasting societies.
Understanding the types of people that settled these lands is essential to understanding why
differences in these societies emerged. The New England area was settled by large families for the ...

pregnancy has been a social problem throughout the world for a number of decades now. Many studies
have been completed in several countries that pertain to the amount of teens and the types of teens
who are becoming pregnant. Rates among teens had been declining for some time, but are starting to

According to an American study, 750,000 girls get pregnant each year, 31% of teenage girls get
pregnant at least once before the turn 20, and the federal government spends about $7 billion to help
families that originate with a teen mother (Gilbert, 2007). Studies have shown throughout these
countries that America still has the highest rate of teen pregnancy. In Canada, the teen birth rate
declined from 35.7 per 1000 in 1974 to 14.4 in 2003 (McKay, 2006). This statement was made
referring to the United States, Since the teen birthrate is on the rise for the first time in 15 years, it is
critically important to focus resources and attention on this problem (Docksai, 2010). The teen
birthrates maybe declining in other territories around the world, but the U.S. is starting to see an
increase.
Many people believe that anyone that becomes a teen parent is someone who is coming from a poor or
broken home, but this is definitely not the case. A survey that was completed in the United States
found that 41% of U.S. teen parents come from homes at or above 200% of the federal poverty line,
and 70% were raised in two parent homes (Docksai, 2010). This shows that there are teens that are
seen as normal to society becoming pregnant. The results of the numerous people who completed the
survey proved what a lot of other people thought about the home life of a teen parent. Two thirds of
U.S. adults assume that most teen parents were raised in homes

The Pros And Cons Of The Geneva Conference

On 6th December Smith returned to Geneva for the conclusion of the talks and insisted on either
keeping to the Anglo American proposals or an adjournment and reconvening in Africa. Muzorewa

On 19th January Crosland announced new British proposals as a basis of negotiations. Having already
met to find a common position on the British proposals the four Frontline Presidents offered full
support to the Patriotic Front rather than Muzorewa and Sithole. Muzorewa, meanwhile, was asking
for a referendum to chose the national leader before the Geneva talks resumed. After renewed guerrilla
activity in the North East Rhodesia extended its military call up to include men aged between 38 and

from communist countries if South Africa intervened and Nigeria offered to provide troops to fight in
Rhodesia. February saw increased effort from the United States to bring about a final solution to the
Rhodesian issue. Andrew Young, the new U.S. ambassador to the U.N. flew to Africa to meet the
frontline presidents and call for a resumption of the Geneva conference. Both Young and Vance
insisted that any support for an internal solution was dependent on the inclusion of the Patriotic Front
leaders as they were the only ones able to stop the fighting. In an attempt to break the deadlock Britain
and the USA agreed to call a conference with the African nationalists prior to reopening negotiations
with Smith. Vorster announced his support for an internal settlement and sought a new initiative which
would involve South Africa as well as the U.K. and U.S.A. Whilst Smith introduced new race laws to

Consequences Of Utilitarianism
Utilitarianism is a theory in normative ethics holding that the proper course of action is the one that
maximizes overall happiness. It is now generally taken to be a form of consequentialism, According to
utilitarianism the moral worth of an action is determined only by its resulting outcome although there
is debate over how much consideration should be given to actual consequences, foreseen
consequences and intended consequences. Utilitarianism has often been considered the natural ethic of
a democracy operating by simple majority without protection of individual rights. In this essay, I will
argue that utilitarianism is incorrect because of the objection that it does not provide adequate
protection for individual rights, and that not everything ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A utilitarian would argue that just because rights are not directly considered in relation to the
consequences of an action, they do in fact have some impact on the chosen action. With majority of
the population getting happiness out of doing the right thing, rights are often protected through
Utilitarianism. For the small minority of people that don t experience unhappiness from disregarding
human rights, the existence of the police force ensures human right are protected from these members
of society. With human rights being protected under law, people rights will be upheld under
Utilitarianism because there will always be a larger amount of disutility from violating the law than
from the personal gains of a human right offender. For example the CEO and CFO of Tyco a New
Jersey based company stole $150 million and inflated Tyco incomes by $500 million, in doing so they
violated the rights of investors. After the police discovered this fraud, the justice system penalized
both, with a sentence of 8 25 years in prison with the addition of $2.92 billion paid to Tyco Investors.
Under Utilitarianism this case wouldn t occur because the benefits of stealing this money would never
outweigh the consequences that result from being caught for defrauding investors. Therefore even
though rights are not considered in

For the purposes of this paper, alternative music culture while has a wide definition will be focused on
the music culture that was evident in Los Angeles between about 1985 until it became more
mainstream in 1991. This centre of the culture in LA is important because most of the important
record companies were and still are, based out of LA, since there was this centre of culture decision
makers it s not surprising that the city became a hot spot for musicians who wanted to become
recognized. Also important is the sheer size of LA itself, any time you get a city as large as it is you
get a wide variety of people living in a smaller area, communities come together and form various
subgroups. One subgroup evident in LA at this time was those who fell outside the dominate music
groups of the time, mainly, new wave, hip hop and hair metal (Mullen 2005). This subgroup was as
varied as those who did not fall under the alternative heading, musically they could prescribe to
anything from the funk roots of the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the 70 s influenced rock of Jane s
Addiction.
More importantly the people who fell under the alternative culture felt like their voices were not being
heard in the music that dominated the air waves at the time. It can be hypothesized that the alternative
music culture in LA grew out of a rejection of the hyper masculine, misogynistic values of the hair
metal scene that dominated LA and popular music culture for much of the 80 s. A

Proposal For The Nhs Internet Connection Project
C3J Solutions would like to thank Northeastern Health Services, Inc. (NHS) for the opportunity to
submit a proposal for the NHS internet connection project. Following is our proposal for an Internet
connection that will meet the NHS business objective. NHS is a Maine based health services company
who accommodates underserved patients in rural parts of the state. Recently, the NHS decided to
expand services by adding branch offices in towns near the Canadian border to:
· Provide state of the art health services to patients by offering medical imaging services with rapid
diagnoses.
Northeastern Health Services plans to accomplish this by partnering with a medical analysis unit in
New York. Accordingly, large medical image files will be transmitted between destinations via fast
Internet connection. To put it briefly, the NHS is expanding services to provide top notch health care
services by partnering with regional hospitals. But first, several obstacles must be addressed to meet
the objective; most importantly, selecting the best internet connection for the project. Health care
companies are increasingly relying on networked information systems to share patient data and
records. Therefore, choosing the correct internet access technology is key to any company who wants
to be competitive in this environment. Fortunately for NHS, there are several internet access options
available for this project; these include DSL, cable, T1, cellular, and satellite

Sustainability is a beneficial progress that consists of meeting people s needs without conflicting the

Persuasive Essay On Sexual Slavery
There are approximately 20 to 30 million sexual slaves in the world today, of which 80% are women,
and half of that are children. That is a lot of people getting trapped into the sex trafficking business
that will most likely spend the rest of their lives trying to pay off their debt, however there are some
women who get their happy endings. There are a lot of intelligent, confident, courageous women who

The Case Of Mcdonald s
The case study for McDonald s is quite intriguing. It made me realize that I as far as business success
rates I was really out of touch. McDonald s is huge in the restaurant industry, not only in the states but
abroad. However, it is quite interesting that this mogul is not always taken well in new places. For
example, in India the people are not particularly fund of the food and menu. Originally, the numbers
were high until a protest group came out saying that McDonalds was using beef and pork in the food.
The choice of beef and pork was unfavorable due to certain religions and this caused numbers to drop.
Furthermore, it caused the customers to lose trust in the brand. A loss of custore trust can prove
detrimental to a brand. The adverse publicity that was incurred caused the company s number to drop
significantly. In this same breath, the article disclosed that all new locations were not disappointed
with the restaurant items. The company chose to put a location in China, which was a wise choice,
because they now have over twenty five locations in the country. Not only did China incorporate and
embrace the organization, they are the home of one of the largest McDonald s in the world. I think that
McDonalds is using a smart strategy when it comes to being a major player in the globalization

Prior to gaining its independence, America endured various controlling methods brought on by the
Crown that were focused on directly benefiting Britain, rather than Britain providing much needed

by King George III that showed that he intended to use Britain s new land for revenue building during
his reign and this patronizing and disrespectful act ignited a series of events that became the American
Revolution (Tindall Shi, 2010). Driven by their anger toward the Crown for implementing this
thoughtless tax, the colonists began to unite despite their varying religious and political views. This
was the first time the colonist came together and looked past their differences for the good of the
colonies as a whole. Bostonians displayed their outrage by hanging a disrespectful depiction

Red, Bad Blood, Shake It Off
Red, Bad Blood, Shake It Off these are just a few popular songs by singer Taylor Swift. Swift is,
today, one of the most popular pop singer among people of many different ages and social groups.
Many people, however know little or nothing about her background and how she came to be the
popular singer and songwriter she is today. Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989, in Reading,
PA to parents Scott and Andrea Taylor. She was named after the singer James Taylor. It was clear from
a young age that Swift had talent and at the young age of nine years old performed in four Berks
Youth Theatre Academy productions. Her parents paid for her to have vocal and acting lessons on
Broadway. Eventually,Swift decided to pursue singing a career

Recruitment Of Talent And Talent Retention Essay
About 31 percent of talent in China are disappointed with the employers and are considered to be at
risk talents, according to the Recruitment advertising China (2007). Possessing and retaining the best
talent is the heart of success in future , stated by Dharmadhikari (2013), which proves the key role of
talents retention. Contemporarily, Chinese employers are at risk of losing their most talented people as
their disappointment with the position. Similarly, the company that the article discusses about, Dalian
Longda Architecture Company, is also suffering from a critical shortage in retaining talents. Retention
of talents in Longda Architecture has been a prominent problem, which can be solved by the
establishment of the diversified motivation system.
Longda Architecture, establishing in 1989 with only dozens of staff, has developed into a well funded
private enterprise having 1100 employees and over 100 million total assets (Shaofu, Ye. Personal
communication. November 30, 2016). However, according to Mr. Shaofu s words (Shaofu, Ye.
Personal communication. November 30, 2016), now the employees in the company started to
complain about the employee treatment of the company and a substantial portion of staff in the
company including senior and old employees choose to leave the company.
First, select 3 vital criteria from the literature which are compensation system, working environment
and turnover rate of the company respectively. Initially, Long (2012) states that

Comparing Traditional Etl And How A Tool Like Apache Drill
Introduction In today s database landscape, much of an organization s raw data is known to be housed
in heterogeneous data stores. In order to merge this siloed data, it must be extracted, transformed, and
loaded (ETL) into a common platform known as a Data Warehouse. Once in the Data Warehouse, the
data can thus be analyzed using multidimensional data mining (OLAP).
The major drawback of the ETL process, however, is time. It may take a company an entire day (24h)
to even an entire business week (5 days) to have the Data Warehouse filled with the next period s data.
However as each minute passes, this data which is yet to be loaded is becoming stale and less relevant
to action. As such, big data time to value typically suffers.
Thus, the purpose of this paper is to discuss the implications of traditional ETL and how a tool like
Apache Drill can be used to pull down the barriers of ETL and allow data to be queried in place. Then,
a discussion of what Apache Drill is and how it works will follow. Lastly, a small demo of Apache
Drill will be performed on a large dataset to give the reader a better understanding of its application.
ETL s Role in Data Warehousing For a typical organization today, sources of data may and most likely
do come in many different formats. As an example, Han, et al. (2012) states, the types of data sources
that generate huge amounts of data is endless and include and are not limited to: databases, other data
warehouses, data marts, the Web,

Fleischer Studios Research Paper
The Fleischer Studios is one of the most influential and successful animation studios in the silent era
and later became one of the prominent force in the Golden Age of animation. Originally known as
Inkwell Studios until 1929, the company was founded by brothers, Max and Dace Fleischer in 1921
who ran the company until Paramount Pictures acquired it in 1941. Its influence and impact in the
animation industry due to the surreal, yet clever movements in animation, numerous innovations,
inventions such as the Rotoscope, and the style of cartoons in contrast to that of Disney films, rose the
studio to becoming one of the main and most fierce competitor to Walt Disney Productions in the
1930s. The Fleischer Studios is responsible for famous iconic ... Show more content on

The demand for Fleischers cartoons was began to steadily rise. In order to meet the demands, the
brothers hired more employees and move their location to a bigger and comfortable work environment
at 1600 Broadway, New York City. The Fleischers Studios had secured another breakthrough in the
animation industry, by partnering up with Lee DeForest, a pioneer in sound technology, they were able
to create the first cartoon, My Old Kentucky Home (1926), using synchronized sound, a mere two
years before the most recognized short, Steamboat Willy (1928). Another innovation under the Studios
belt was the concept of the bouncing ball, which provided the audiences with lyrics and rhythm of
music for them to sing along, something practically nonexistent in modern times. After partnering up
with Paramount Pictures, the Fleischer Studios created another successful cartoon star, Betty Boop,
adapted Popeye comic strips into cartoons and responsible for what he is known for in modern times,
including the famous theme song, and eventually, producing their first feature length film, Gulliver s
Travels, which proven to be a massive financial success in the public despite its limited initial

Keywords Evolutionary algorithm, MFO, PSO, GA, ACO, Benchmark optimization function I: Introduction Optimization can be defined as the search for the best possible solution(s) to a given problem. For this, there are a number of optimization techniques both conventional and new meta heuristics. The conventional methods are gradient based which are although quite faster in convergence, but are not applicable for discontinuous, non differentiable and complex multimodal functions. These techniques have limitations to find the global optima and have general tendency to stuck at local optima as they start with a single point. Hence there are exhaustive search methods to tackle ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. A Project On The Project Life Cycle Discussion Board Forum 3 Sana Gilani Liberty University BUSI 650 April 23, 2016 The Project Life Cycle Explanation A project is a transitory effort attempted to develop an exceptional merchandize or service. Since all projects are distinctive in nature and include a specific level of ambiguity, they are distributed into particular stages that improve and support overall management and control. According to Hormozi, McMinn, and Nzeogwu (2000), every projects have a life cycle and they are born from an idea, develop into a finished product or service, and then terminate (p.45). The stages or phases of project life cycles may vary depending on management strategy, industry, application/ methodology being used for a particular project. However, in general the project life cycle stages include: (1) Initializing, (2) planning, (3) execution, (4) controlling, and (5) closing or termination. Meredith and Shafer (2013) explained stretched S and exponential life cycle within the text book. In the stretched S life cycle, the progress is slow in the initial phase but it takes speed during the implementing phase and during the closing stage, as per Meredith and Shafer (2013), the more difficult tasks that were postponed earlier must now be completed, yet people are being drawn off the project and activity is winding down, so the end keeps slipping out of reach (p. 211). • 4. A Brief Note On The Context ( Iad ) Biophysical Context (IAD) a) Natural Infrastructure There is specifically no natural element involved in an EV industry. Except for the fact that we are trying to conserve natural fossil fuels and reduce the problems of exhaust emissions from internal combustion engines by encouraging EVs as mode of transportation. EVs are man made solution to the depletion of natural resources and climate change. b) Human made infrastructure To power an electric vehicle, consumers must have the ability to connect their vehicle to a source of electricity, the utility must have the capacity to transmit and distribute this additional power and sufficient electricity generation capacity must exist. The onus is on the government as well as the private sector to meet these three conditions i.e. providing 1. Charging equipment 2. Distribution capacity and 3. Electricity generation. The charging equipment is not very expensive and it would not be difficult for households and commercial enterprises to install them. The adequacy of the generation and distribution systems need to be upgraded and monitored and necessary investments need to be made to keep up with the increasing demand from EVs. Finally, if there emerges the need for a rapid electrification campaign, the utilities will be under pressure to build new facilities and the older coal fired power plants will remain in use, ironically diluting the environmental benefits of EV adoption strategy. Therefore, adequate expansion of infrastructure ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Tap Dancing History The history of tap originated in the United States from many styles of dance forms from different ethnicities such as African Tribal, Scottish Dance, Irish and English clog dances and jigs. Ever since then tap has been updated in many types of styles. Tap is a form of dance using tap shoes (shoes with metal plates in the heel and ball of the foot) striking the floor as a form of percussion. It is believed that African slaves and Irish servants had watched each other dancing on the plantations and combined them together to invent tap dancing, before it was believed that tap dancing came from an urban environment such as the Five Points District in New York City, where many ethnic groups lived together. The Berry Brothers act included rhythmic, synchronized cane twirling and dazzling acrobatics to pop out. Flash is a style of dance that incorporated acrobatics and were often used to finish a dance. Novelty is the incorporation into a routine of specialty props, such as jump ropes, suitcases, and stairs. Eccentric, legomania and comedy each used the body in eccentric and comedic ways to fool the eye and characteristically involved wild and wiggly leg movements. Swing/classical tap combines the upper body movement found in 20th century ballet and jazz with percussive, syncopated footwork, a style used extensively in the movies. Something had to be done that would provide for a flexible amount of currency as well as provide cohesion between banks across the United States. (Hepburn, 399) This knight in shining armor, as described in the story of the bank run, was the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 helped to establish banks as a united force working for the people instead of independent agencies working against each other. By providing a flexible amount of currency, banks did not have to hoard their money in fear of a bank run. Because of this, there was no competitive edge to see who could keep the most currency on hand and a more expansionary economy was possible. The evolution of the Federal Reserve did not begin on December 23, 1913 with the passage of the Federal Reserve Act. Rather, it began with the Banking Panic of 1907, the most severe of the four national banking panics that had occurred in the precious thirty four years. In response to this panic, a committee was established to find the flaws of the current banking system. Although now considered a menace to Peruvian society, the Shining Path still remains as a significant reference for revolutionary movements. Living in an age of terror, Peru was a country of disorder and corruption; the road to liberation was a far way to go. For years, demagogic candidates turned dictatorial leaders were filled with an insatiable hunger to fight for power and dominance. They mainly spent money on military forces, drugs, and other frivolous things; yet all failed to simply provide for the people who needed them most. Living was almost nonexistent and an illusion with an impoverished economy. The country remained socioeconomically stagnant. Promises were never made and Peruvians became more desperate, angry, and resentful by the day. Emotions gradually fueled their fires into strong burning passions. This was more than enough to spark a revolutionary movement to eternally live on. No matter how vile and wicked it would resort to, the people were ready. Everyone just wanted to survive. Most claims that deniers of the evolution manage to come up with are effortlessly refuted with the help of logic and common sense. Even if their objections are flimsy, the sheer number and diversity of the claims challenging the ideas of evolution can put even well informed people at a disadvantage. One of the strongest arguments providing grounds for doubting evolution is so called irreducible complexity which says that living things have tremendously complex features at the anatomical, cellular and molecular levels that could not function if they were any less intricate or sophisticated. This argument may be considered quite strong because even Charles Darwin wrote in chapter 6 of his famous work On the Origin of Species : If it could be dеmonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down. [5] Indeed, many people find it difficult to imagine how from two elementary notions random mutation, and the filtering power of the environment have emerged, over millennia, such marvels as eyes, the wings of birds and the human brain. (2 Chronicles 6:14 15, 18 21) When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord s house. When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying: For He is good, For His mercy endures forever. (2 Chronicles 7:1 3) Lord, remember David and all his afflictions; How He swore to the Lord, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob: Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, or go up to the comfort of my bed, I will not give sleep to my eyelids, Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob. The painting fell, Jackson shot up and ran over to the remains. The painting lay on the floor, the frame cracked in half. Jackson became filled with panic. The difference in the kind of people that settled, the shared communal values, and the profitability of the land in these areas are what shaped these regions into contrasting societies. For the small minority of people that don t experience unhappiness from disregarding human rights, the existence of the police force ensures human right are protected from these members of society. With human rights being protected under law, people rights will be upheld under Utilitarianism because there will always be a larger amount of disutility from violating the law than from the personal gains of a human right offender. This centre of the culture in LA is important because most of the important record companies were and still are, based out of LA, since there was this centre of culture decision makers it s not surprising that the city became a hot spot for musicians who wanted to become recognized. Also important is the sheer size of LA itself, any time you get a city as large as it is you get a wide variety of people living in a smaller area, communities come together and form various subgroups. One subgroup evident in LA at this time was those who fell outside the dominate music groups of the time, mainly, new wave, hip hop and hair metal (Mullen 2005). This subgroup was as varied as those who did not fall under the alternative heading, musically they could prescribe to anything from the funk roots of the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the 70 s influenced rock of Jane s Addiction. More importantly the people who fell under the alternative culture felt like their voices were not being heard in the music that dominated the air waves at the time. In order to merge this siloed data, it must be extracted, transformed, and loaded (ETL) into a common platform known as a Data Warehouse. Once in the Data Warehouse, the data can thus be analyzed using multidimensional data mining (OLAP). The major drawback of the ETL process, however, is time. It may take a company an entire day (24h) to even an entire business week (5 days) to have the Data Warehouse filled with the next period s data. However as each minute passes, this data which is yet to be loaded is becoming stale and less relevant to action. As such, big data time to value typically suffers.
