Essay about Wanted by Caroline B. Cooney Summary
Wanted by Caroline B. Cooney
Alice Robie is a 15 year old girl. She was visiting her father during one of her custody weekends .
She gets a strange call from her father telling her to drive his most prized car, Corvette, which he
wouldn t let anyone touch. In the book it said that was one reason why her parents were divorced
because her mother thought he loved the car more than her. Her father told her to get two disks
and drive to where they eat ice cream most of the time. In my opinion I felt that the main character
took to long to complete this task. But before she could live the house a strange yet familiar person
invades her looking for the disk her father told her to bring. Fortunately she was hiding with the
disk under the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She steals book bag and leaves. She runs away to a university. Alice asks a girl for a ride to get
close to where the computer lab would be. When Alice final makes to the computer lab she
realizes she needs a student ID but doesn t have one. Luckliy a group of boys are walking down
hall. When they finally reach her she asks if they could open the door for her since she forgot to
get hers . She notices that one of the boys was familiar. Paul who use to go to her school, they had
a short conversation but he didn t recognize her.
Anyway, Alice gets on a computer in the back of the lab and starts to look for the email she sent
to her mother . The email was written exactly how she would write and email to someone;
lowercase letters, signed ally, no dear.... and she even believed that she committed the crime.
Then she put in the disk that her father wanted her to bring. She reads about her father and his
brother but the information is not enough to find out who could possible kill her father. Soon she
has to leave and she decides to print out the document. Once the document is printed out, she
leaves, lucky for her she doesn t need to use a student ID to exit the lab. She meets up with Paul
and she tries to get rid of him. Fortunately, she gets a place where she can sleep over for the night.

Bosnia Genocide Essay
Zvornik and the later genocide around Srebrenica. Since the returnees were harassed, making the
society multiethnic was very difficult. Also since the local security took part in the attacks and
genocide, it was hard to unify the country because they supported the ethnic cleansing. The
returnees not being able to return to their homes added to Bosnia being ethnically fractured after the
war. As expressed by McMahon and Western, In ethnically fractured postwar Bosnia, however, such
decentralization further weakened efforts to build a coherent state. The ethnic decentralization
made it difficult to unify Bosnia since the power was scattered. This split the government along

Although many returnees ended up returning to their homes, the country was still broken due to
many causes. As represented by Dahlman and Tuathail, The success of reaching one million
returns is tempered by the reality that Bosnia is still a broken country, where obstructionism,
political corruption, and economic hardship compound the legacy of wartime displacements (Г“
Tuathail and Dahlman 2004b). All of the problems that still existed in Bosnia even after the war,
like political corruption, caused the country to remain broken even though so many people were
able to return to their prewar homes. The country also remained broken after the war because the
Bosnian Muslims were still left isolated and vulnerable. As supported by McMahon and Western,
Second, exiting Bosnia will now leave Bosnian Muslims isolated and vulnerable, sending precisely
the wrong message to the Muslim world at a time when Brussels and Washington are trying to
mend relationships frayed by the Iraq war and the global war on terror. The country remained
divided due to the isolation and vulnerability of the Bosnian Muslims after the war. This caused the
failure of Bosnia to become diverse, which kept the country

Osmosis In Potato Lab Report
I.Title: The Water Potential of Potato Cells.
II.Purpose:
The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the effect of the change in concentration of
sucrose on the rate of osmosis in cylinders of potatoes.
This would happen by using similar sizes and lengths of potato cylinders and applying the into
different concentrations of sucrose (0,10%,30%, 50%, 70%) in foam cups then measuring the
change in mass of the potato cylinders afterwards. Maintaining all variables unchanged such as pH,
same size, covered solutions, and a constant temperature. The time taken for all potato cylinders
will be 24 hours.
III.Introduction:
In animal cells, the movement of water into and out of the cell is influenced by the relative
concentration of solute ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lastly, type of tissue was controlled by using only one type of tissue which is the same potato.
The hypothesis is that when cells are put in a solution with a different water potential than inside
of them, cells will gain or lose water. If concentration of solution is the same, there will be no
change in mass.

Plato the Philosopher Essay
Plato was a philosopher who was born in Athens (470 390 BCE), and was also a student of

The Effects Of Prolonged Deprivation On Learned Helplessness
Here we discuss research of Indian writers SURAJ MAL, UDAY JAIN and K. S. YADAV, which is
called Effects of Prolonged Deprivation on Learned Helplessness . This study article consists of 8
pages.
This is a correlational study and it has quantitative character. The article consists of next sections:
Abstract, Introduction, Method (this part also consists of such subsections as Subjects, PDS, Tasks,
and Procedure), Results, Discussion, and References.
Independent variables of the study are gender and the deprivation that participants were placed
under. Authors investigate the influence of these two variables on response latency, trials to
criterion, number of failures, internal attribution, stable attribution, and global attribution.
Two way analysis of variance was used in the study. To collect data about deprivation authors have
used questionnaire, which was created by Misra and Tripathi in 1980. It consists of 96 questions
about 15 areas of life such as housing conditions, home environment, and economic sufficiency, as
well as childhood experiences, sociocultural experiences, and so on. To answer each question
respondent uses the 5 point scale. The higher score corresponds to higher deprivation. Total
deprivation is equal the sum of scores for each question.
One hundred and four high school students in India were selected to be the participants of the
study. The share of the males is equal to the share of the females for these participants. In other
words, there were 52

Class difference in Blood Brothers Essay
How does Willy Russell demonstrate class difference in Blood Brothers?
Blood Brothers was written by Willy Russell in 1985. A Liverpudlian
West Side Story: twin brothers are separated at birth because their mother cannot afford to keep
them both. She gives one of them away to wealthy Mrs Lyons and they grow up as friends in
ignorance of their blood relationship until the inevitable quarrel caused through class differences
leads to the tragic outcome. In this essay, I will examine how Willy Russell demonstrates class
differences in his play Blood
Brothers. I will be looking at the differences between Mrs Lyons and
Mrs Johnson. The differences between Eddie and Mickey as young children at the age of seven.

The Brazilian Culture Of Brazil Essay
Much like the U.S., Brazilian culture is extremely diverse. Brazil s current population of 190
million represents various nationalities from European to African (Country Facts). Brazil has an
extremely diverse culture with some common pervasive threads that grouped together give Brazil a
national identity.
The concept of aesthetics describes what people of certain cultures tend to consider to be popular or
in good taste (Wild Wild, 2014). To this extent, despite being mostly unified by a single language,
Brazil represents such a diverse culture that regional aesthetic variances could almost seem like they
were different countries altogether (Castano, Goossens, Terlouw, and Vliet, n.d.). According to
Encyclopedia Britannica, of all the cultures that make up the Brazilian way of life, the Portuguese
culture is the dominant influence and provides the main language, religion, and many customs.
Indigenous Indians and African influences are also apparent in some forms, especially in certain
parts of the country.
If one were to ask a Brazilian what symbols they feel would represent the culture of Brazil,
Everyculture.com states that most in the country would view soccer, family, and the four day
national party called Carnival as the symbols of Brazil s passion and free spirit. Values are those
ideas and beliefs to which people are emotionally attached (Wild Wild, 2014), and to that end
Brazilians have a very strong focus on family. Families in Brazil are typically large,

Females tend to produce litters of anywhere from one to four kittens after an approximately
seventy to seventy five day gestation period. Kittens are born with spots that disappear as they

most other animals, the Gulf Coast Jaguarundi has a certain time of year in which mating occurs.

production by 100 untis to make up the loss of capacity in Pant A. 2.The transportation costs for A

B to region 1 and 2 are $2.35 and $3.55. The difference is $1.20. Since $1.20 gt;$0.70, Plant A will

Problem b) 50 cents increase in unit transportation cost between plant A and region 2
Answer:
Production and shipment plan will not be changed because the allowable increase of objective
coefficient of from plant A to region 2 is 60 cents. The 50 cents change is within the limit so it
will not change the production and shipment plan. So it will only increase total cost by $450 as

Conclusion:
According to the data the hypothesis If I insert a 100g brass mass into a 100 degrees boiling
water for two minutes and transfer it to cold water then the cold water s temperature will increase
because the 100g brass mass gained heat from the boiling water was fully supported.
The results were taken and the specific heat capacity of the 100g brass mass were calculated. For
the results to be accurate we did 5 trials and finally we had our averages which were 21, 2В°C, 95,
6В°C, 25, 4В°C
Even though the results were expected there might be some errors and accuracy made during the
experiments like how the 100g brass mass was placed in the boiling water sometimes it was all the
way in and sometimes it would come up.

Lancelot ( The Knight Of The Cart, And Perceval
The stories of Lancelot (The Knight of the Cart) and Perceval (The Story of the Grail) within
ChrГ©tien de Troyes Arthurian Romances depict a world of Medieval Romance that is
somewhat different from one that was depicted in earlier epics. These romances are more focused
on the battle between love and honor rather than on war and valor, which were depicted in earlier
epics of de Troyes time. The tale of Lancelot follows a star struck knight who undergoes an inner
conflict between both the lover and hero inside him. His intense commitment to rescuing the queen
causes him to make rash decisions which inevitably restrain him from controlling his own fate.
Perceval s story exhibits a different purpose for lovein a knight s life. Unlike Lancelot, he accepts
love only when he believes it can further advance him in becoming the perfect knight. The two
heroes actions showcase an inner conflict between maintaining their honor as knights and the love
for another. Through these two tales, ChrГ©tien de Troyes shows that that idealistic love and
conscious chivalry cannot necessarily successfully coexist, yet it is the unachievable idealistic view
that these two ideals do coexist.
In The Knight of the Cart, Lancelot sets out to rescue Queen Guinevere, who he has fallen in love
with and has been captured by King Arthur s enemy, Meleagant. He is first mentioned after he is
found by Gawain, another Knight of the Round Table. Lancelot convinces Gawain to lend him one
of his horses so that

Opositions to Thomas Malthus Theory on Population Growth
Thomas Malthus was an early 19th century English scholar who specializes in political economy
and demographics. One of his most well known and influential works An Essay on the Principle of
Population argued that the increase in population growth would ultimately create social and
economic problems for a nation. On the contrary, many famous political economists such as Ester
Boserup and Julian Simon suggested different views about populationand resource growth; which
contradicts the Malthus theory. Thomas Malthus wrote An Essay on the Principle of Population
argued that the increasing rate of population growth is the impetus of many social and economic
issues that affects our society. His belief was that population increases in geometrical scale whilst
basic supply for humans increase in arithmetical scale, I SAID THAT POPULATION, WHEN
UNCHECKED, increased in a geometrical ratio, and subsistence for man in an arithmetical ratio.
(Quoted from An Essay on the Principle of Population, Chapter 2, page 6) Malthus believed that
overpopulation would lead to mass malnutrition, famine, disease and even war. He proposed two
kinds of method that could keep the population in a sustainable level. First is preventative checks,
which suggested using moral restrains such as the practice of abstinence and criminal punishments
for those who had children that they could not support. The other method is positive checks.
Positive checks are factors that could increase the death

The unrecognized significance of Aesthetics I think everything in life is art. What you do, how
you dress, the way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality, what

The Euphrasie Legacy Research Paper
The Euphrasie legacy. Sister Ann spoke to us at liturgy today concerning the life of the general
population in Cambodia. First she spoke about where Cambodia is. Cambodia is in south east
Asia, with only one gulf next to it, so Cambodia is nearly a landlocked country. One thing she
spoke about was rice scholarships. With a Rice Scholarship, if a family is too poor to send a
child to school, the Sisters give the family rice. To be exact, they get fifteen kilograms per day,
per family. This is an excellent idea since rice is cheap, filling, and swells up when cooked.

Introduction
Taylor used valuable knowledge into work practice, as the appearance of scientific management, the
productivity of all the developed countries increased nearly 50 times (Zuo, 2007). In the meanwhile,
whether the scientific management is suitable for modern age has sparked much debate. Some

However, when it comes to the spirit of innovation, it is seem that this rationalized rigidity of
roles and functions form a barrier to carry out the plan on higher level. (Marshall, 1919cite in
Maqbool, Zakariya Paracha, 2011 ). Marshall (1919) argued that the specialized engineers were
controlled by the managers and plans and they pay most attention to the operation and the
immediate outcome instead of the strategic perspectives. Secondly, Locke (1982) agreed with
Taylor that money is what the worker wants most was not entirely misguided. However, Oswald

Materialistic. (Maqbool, Zakariya Paracha, 2011cited in Florence, 1924)Therefore, the problem

Interview With English Teacher
Through interviewing an English teacher, which mostly all students have, he describes their
willingness to learn and excel amazing. We discussed the challenges and obstacles he has faced or
had to overcome with educating International students. His response reflected being extra sensitive
and culturally aware of the diversity they bring to the class. He describes their learningstyles very
different to other students, as they are focused solely on the letter grade they are receiving. He
informed me that students go to him everyday after class worried about their grade. Although he
feels it is a good challenge, he is constantly reminding them they are excelling and the grades do
not reflect the exact grade because he is always updating it. Being... Show more content on

Leaving your home country and having to start all over in a new community is difficult but luckily
Hacienda Heights provides similar parallels to their culture. Interviewing the students was the best
part; I learned so much from just talking to them. Few students had visited California before while
others first day of school was their first day in the United States. The adaptability each student

customs of a California high school. They spoke with passion and excitement about being here.
Few students were world travelers and have been all over the world; so going to school in
California is just an exciting opportunity they are passionate about. They discussed similarities
between their hometown and California. One, which stood out, was Uber which is similar to a
taxi service. I spoke with a few towards the end of school and walked them out to the parking lot,
which they informed me that they were waiting for an Uber to pick them up. I immediately
connected with them and talked about a similar service in China. It was fascinating to see common

James Langston Hughes Delusions Of Rivers
A Mention of Rivers
James Langston Hughes was born February 1, 1902 in Joplin Missouri to mother Carie Langston
and father James Hughes. Shortly following his birth, Hughes parents divorced which resulted in
him being raised mainly by his mother, his maternal grandmother and a childless couple named
Reed. ( Langston Hughes ) Hughes moved frequently throughout his childhood, traveling to and
living in various states before graduating from high school in Cleveland Ohio. Shortly after
graduating from high school, Hughes took a trip to Mexico to see his father who moved there
after he divorced his wife. While riding on a train on the way to see his father, Hughes crossed over
the Mississippi river and received the inspiration for his first ... Show more content on

And then I remembered that I had read about Abraham Lincoln going down the Mississippi as a
young man...He saw human beings bought and sold in the slave market there and he was so
horrified by this that he never forgot it ( Audio on The Negro Speaks of Rivers )
With this knowledge it is easy to see that the bosom [turning] all golden in the sunset symbolizes
the freeing of the slaves after the passing of Abe Lincoln s Emancipation Proclamation and the
metaphorical dawning of a new day that occurred thereafter for the negro people.
As one examines the symbolism of the rivers mentioned in the poem, it becomes easier to see
elements of Hughes style and his efforts to highlight the significance of the black soul . During
the Harlem Renaissance, a time of artistic revival in Harlem, black writers were faced with a
dilemma. Whites celebrated the supposedly primitive (that is, natural, basic, and uncivilized)
qualities of black culture because they were seen as rejuvenating a depleted, over civilized
Western culture. (Hardy) Consequently black writers during this time were faced with the choice
of either adopting the European forms of writing despite their limited access and experiential
connection (Hardy) or be labeled as primitive and simple. In The Negro Speaks of Rivers Hughes,
in a way steals the thunder of this simple stereotype. Through symbolism he shows the long lineage
of the black race all the way back to the Mesopotamian cultures and how it dwarfs any achievements
of the United States one hundred fifty year history.

Patient Satisfaction Is A Driving Force Of Today s Health...
A.Process or Procedure Patient satisfaction is a driving force in today s health care system.
Incorporating the patient in their care will help with the patients healing process as well as
encouraging the patient to be more compliant with their prescribed care. Bedside reporting is a
practice that some organizations have incorporated in their standards of care. The patients care does
not stop when the nurse s shift ends. Therefore, it is important for the patient s information to be
conveyed accurately to the oncoming nurse. Conducting shift reports at the bedside allows the
oncoming nurse to both visualize and interact with the patient much sooner than if the nurse had
received report in another manner. Furthermore, bedside reporting allows the patient to interact
with both nurses; and allows them to see that their care is being properly managed. This type of
reporting also allows the oncoming nurse to ask questions, as other methods of shift reporting
limits the oncoming nurse from interacting and asking questions of the off going nurse. Patient
satisfaction as well as accurate transfer of information and patient safety is a crucial part in
providing quality patient care. A1. Discussion of Process or Procedure Audio recorded shift
reporting has been the standard for a shift to shift report for some time now. This recording is

How To: Hadoop and Mark logic
Before talking about Hadoop and Mark Logic, it is very important to understand Big Data. What is
big data, what s the consequence and how it is linked with Hadoop and Mark Logic? Large set of
data, unstructured and structured which is created everyday over the internet via different
devices is known as Big Data . For example: if the user has 7 accounts and creates multiple files in
each account he has already created large set of data of his own Big Data is generally described in
terms of the three Vs:
1. Volume
2. Velocity
3. Variety With all the collection of large datasets with huge volume, high velocity and variety of
data, business and organization were at risk to handle their data privacy and security beyond their
capacity. Due to the increase in new technology, business, communication, device, big scale of
data was produced. About 90% data in today s world was just created in last two years alone,
without counting those data that has been created previously. The information retained in those
data was a big risk to many organizations as the current technology was managing the data with
traditional approach, which consisted of user, a centralized system and relational data base. This
style had various drawbacks together along with two key problems: less storage capacity and slow
data processing.
To overcome the problem, Doug Cutting

The Chocolate War Essay
The Chocolate War Many people often meet different characters in literature and in life that they
admire or despise. They conclude if those characters are good or evil and at the same time they
reflect on the choices and responsibilities that those characters have. From The Chocolate War I
admire RolandGoubert or The Goober based on his actions. I despise Archie Costello (The
Assigner of The Vigils) because of the choices that he made and also because of his actions.
I admire Roland Goubert (The Goober) the most of all the characters within this book because he
is honest, loving, and a loyal friend to Jerry. In the book when Jerry was refusing to sell the

when he was sick and tried to see if he could help Jerry possibly before it had begun or after it

the very end of the book, after Jerry got beat up by Emile Janza, Goober helped Jerry and told
him, Everything will be alright... That was my idea of good , hole hearted, honest, loyal, polite,
and most of all a person who helps people when they are in need of help. Goober displayed those
traits within the choices and responsibilities that he had throughout the book. Those are the
qualities that I found very appealing and admirable. I admire him to the fullest extent and I would
probably do the same thing if I were in hiss position.
I despise Archie Costello (The Assigner) the most because he was a part of The Vigils and also
because he was evil. My idea of evil is not feeling guilt when that person should feel guilt, being
cruel to people and other things, and most of all a person who has pleasure when inflicting pain
on someone or something, to be specific...a sadistic person. Basically Archie was the biggest evil
that there was according to my standards. For example when Brother Jacques asked, Why did you

Our text defines conformity as going along with the crowd page 318. I believe we conform and
obey because depending on how we were raised that s all we know. Most of us as kids were told
that we must respect and obey in order to gain trust. Trust is another vital part of prosocial
behavior among humans page 318 For example, I conform and obey because I was raised with the
principles that we must respect others and elders if we wantthe same type of respect back. Some
people on the other hand might conform because of social norms. People conform to the behavior
of others more, and in general conform to social norms more, when others are watching page 318

not possible without the color red and for artists to not be able to write songs using their past
experiences that isn t quite possible either. Another limitation of music censorship is that lyrics are
poetry and are filled with double meanings so what may be obscene to one person may be perfectly
acceptable to another. John Denver testified at the 1985 hearing of the PMRC stating that his song

sixty percent gave incorrect or vague responses. The remainder of students refused to answer
(Nuzum 64). The difference in interpretations between adults and teens can be shown through this
study and there is a reason for the difference. Interpretations can be caused by the fact that one s
understanding is limited to their knowledge on the topic. Greenfield conducted a study on four
different age groups: fourth, eighth, and twelfth graders and college students. Two songs, Born in
the USA by Bruce Springsteen and Like a Virgin by Madonna, were played for the participants.

hope and resentment. The percentage of participants who understood the song s actual themes were
very low. Not one of the fourth graders could recognize the real theme, while only thirty percent of

Essay On Counterculture In The 1960s
One of the most exciting things about studying more recent history is almost intrinsically
connected to the advent of the photographic camera, which offers spontaneous imagery of events
in the moment that the artwork of the past could only attempt to recreate. The transition from
black and white with a burst of color following the Second World War offered to the public eye a
realistic representation of events that they had not had the opportunity to experience before. Color
photographs boomed in the decades following the war, which provides historians today with a
wide breadth of visual sources with which to corroborate other materials. This is especially true
when examining the documentation of the counterculture in the 1960s. A book called Hippie
compiled by Barry Miles offers a composite portrait of hippies in America in the 1960s,

Although SDS had a number of issues they were passionate about in the mid to late 1960s, their
most crucial point of discussion revolved around the Vietnam War. It could be argued that the
advent of the war was one of the factors that contributed to the increasing militancy of the group, the
group eventually dissolving into multiple factions including the Weathermen. Similarly, the hippie
counterculture eventually developed a strong anti war sentiment regarding the American
intervention in Vietnam. However, the doctrine of love and pacifism resulted in the hippies never
developing militant behaviors in the way that the members of SDS did. This emphasis on non
violence, as the 60s and 70s went on, became an increasingly valuable point in which the hippies
diverged from other groups that shared similar foundational philosophies given that the growing
unrest in America resulted in, for many groups including SDS, more violent

Why Do We Need Crime Statistics
Across the country there are cities that range from millions of residents to thousands. There are
also some towns that have a couple hundred barely enough to be called a town. When you look at
crime you think of these places and wonder where there could possibly be more crime. In a city a
lot of crime is normal do to the population but in a small town with smaller population you won t
see that. The amount of crimereported and processed in a place are the crime statistics and it can
vary depending on the situation. Crime statistics can be taken in two ways (boundless.com). One
way it can be taken is crime reports and surveys. Surveys are super important because it can show
that people who had a crime happen to them didn t call in or report the crime. A crime that is not
reported to the policeis a dark figure of crime (Schmalleger, Frank). These are super important and
are sometimes found out about in only surveys. Imagine how many more crime statistics there
would be if the dark figures of crime were reported and how many more criminals we could stop.
Crime control helps keep order in cities. The crime statistics are taken in two major ways.

In my personal opinion I think that it helps Crime Control a lot more and is more useful in
keeping order. The main reason for this again is because if the amount of crime goes up in one
place then we can send more enforcement to that specific area. This would be helpful everywhere
it just another way to keep things under more control. Again, this is my opinion and the scales of
justice can tell you something different. According to the scales of justice both processes are
portrayed as equal but in all reality they are always tipping and that just depends on the situation

Genetic Engineering Negative Essay
After genes were discovered, scientists have been trying to disclose the mysteries of them. Since
genes are the basic building blocks of organism, they are extremely crucial to the development of
biological science. Genetic engineering seems to help the scientists explore the genomes. Genetic
engineering is a relatively new technology that is used to manipulate the genome of an organism.
It can be utilized to raise plants, cure diseases, create genetically modified babies, and clone living
organisms. In other words, scientists can use genomes as Lego blocks to build or change an
organism. When an innovative idea is introduced to people, two groups manifest: one that supports
the idea and one that opposes it. Recently, as the products of the technology, such as GMO food,
get increasingly more involved in human lives, people start to debate whether genetically
engineering is more beneficial or harmful. On the surface of the issue, genetic engineeringseems to
only serve benefits. However, while the development of genetic engineering can change our world
for the better, it has various negative influences on the human race in many aspects: it is harmful
toward the agricultural environment; it acts against nature; and it creates ethical problems.
Scientists must consider the disadvantages of the technology carefully, before they over develop it
to an extent that it creates irreversible harms which can impair the entire human race.

Local Area Networks Are Hampered By The Cost, Performance,...
VLANs In the past, companies were hampered by the cost, performance, and security issues that
are associated with local area networks or LANs. LANs must be connected physically to
switches which means that each LAN must have its own switch (prtl.uhcl.edu, 2016, para. 13).
The virtualized version of the LANs, virtual local area networks (VLANs), allows users to invest
in only one switch (prtl.uhcl.edu, 2016, para. 13). The VLAN is used in the virtual data center
environment to separate a single LAN into more than one network while being physically
connected to one switch. One advantage of VLANs is that network administrators can now sort
devices by whatever criteria they require without physical location being an issue. Different
VLANs can be set for different groups or departments within the same LAN. Performance is
improved because, when the LAN is broken up into VLANs, it is not receiving broadcasts from
all of the devices (certbros.com, 2015, para. 4). Cost is decreased because separate switches are
not required for VLANs. A security benefit is provided because VLANs can be configured to
accommodate the different security levels needed, and the administrator can choose whether or not
to allow the VLANs to communicate with each other (certbros.com, 2015, para. 6). VRFs
Virtualization is also used in the data center to acquire more routing instances without acquiring
more hardware (Santana, 2014. P. 90). This technology is known as Virtual Routing and Forwarding

Reaction Paper On Reflexology
There is evidence that reflexology has been around for many centuries and practiced by many
different cultures including Chinese and Egyptians (Gillanders 2008, Mei Yeh, Pei Shan, Pi Hsia,
Wen Yin,Che Ming, 2008). Archeologists have uncovered various pictures in tombs of ancient
Egyptians working on what is believed to be patient s hands and feet (Gillanders pg. 12).
Reflexologydates back to 2330 BCE, and has become a very sought after healing treatment for
patients of many different illnesses. In the 4th century, a Chinese acupuncturist called Dr. Ko Hung
discovered that using his thumbs to apply a deep pressure to the soles of the feet while acupuncture
needles were in the place was a means of enhancing healing and encouraging energy to be
released . Sometimes reflexology is still referred to as acupuncture without the use of needles
(Gillanders pg. 12). It has only become popular in the United States last in the 100 years. Zone
therapy was the precursor to modern reflexology, which was reborn through the work of William
H Fitzgerald MD in the early 20th century. He was an ear, nose, and throat specialist in the Boston
City Hospital in Connecticut. Dr. Fitzgerald discovered that by applying pressure to the tops of the
fingers with metal clamps, and winding tight elastic bands around the middle section of each
finger, he created an anesthetic effect on the facial area. By this, he was able to do simple ear, nose,
and throat surgery without any anesthesia.

The Objectification Of Women In Ways Of Seeing, By John...
In Ways of Seeing (John Berger, 1972), the author claims that women in visual media are being
objectified by men and women themselves as a subject of gaze. It can be seen from paintings and
movies in which a man s actions are just actions, and in contrary, a woman s actions indicate the
way she would like to be observed. Additionally, there is a statement about the distinction between
nakedness and nudity , saying that in the European tradition, nakedness is simply a state of having
no clothes on and nudity being a form of an artistic representation. On the other hand, Berger has
also discussed the meaning of nakedness outside the artistic context, arguing that naked is a
process, not a state because it breaks down the mystification of what is behind all the body
wrapping and simplifies the reality.
The more or less similar argument is being examined in Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema

children to be safe and make sure they will make it in this world but it s hard when you re not
prepared or you don t know what can happen. Millennials face many challenges and these are just
a sum of some of those many challenges School and/or campus shootings have become a big
problem. The first known school shooting was the Pontiac s Rebellion school massacre on July
26, 1764, where four Lenape American Indian entered the schoolhouse near present day
Greencastle, Pennsylvania, shot and killed schoolmaster Enoch Brown, and killed nine or ten
children only two children survived. Just in 2012 2014 there was a total of 94 school... Show more

Twenty percent of young women who attended college during the past four years say they were
sexually assaulted, according to a Washington Post Kaiser Family Foundation poll. But the circle
of victims on the nation s campuses is probably even larger. Many others endured attempted
attacks, the poll found, or suspect that someone violated them while they were unable to consent.
Some say they were coerced into sex through verbal threats or promises. There was a very
interesting case Carry the Weight In September 2014, Emma Sulkowicz began to carry a mattress

The Collapse Of The Housing Bubble Collapse
Introduction The following essay will thoroughly examine the severe economic downturn of
2008, formerly known as the housing bubble collapse. We will mainly focus our discussion on
the effects the financial crisis had on Canada and the U.S and examine why both countries were
affected differently. Although the collapse of the housing bubble is the most identifiable cause,
it is extremely difficult to pinpoint one specific defining moment or event triggering the global
financial collapse. There are many factors involved, due to the complex nature of the financial
systems across the world, and this paper will delve in the key contributing variables that led to
this financial crises. To begin, a brief history recap of the financial crises in 2008 will be given.
Following that will be a breakdown of how the financial systems were set up in Canada and the
U.S. We will then, in detail, discuss the Canadian and the U.S financial markets, in particular,
the housing market and how each country was affected by the 2008 financial crisis. Lastly, we
will proceed to evaluate the overwhelming differences between Canada and the U.S; from their
core financial system to mortgages that allowed the Canadian market to remain excluded from
the dire consequences of the US market recession, which followed shortly after the financial
crisis. A Brief History of the 2008 Financial Collapse The 2008 financial collapse were both the
result of a series of deregulatory measures and a lack of

Hockey Rivalry
The intense sounds of the mixed nation crowd filled the ears of many in Kristin s Hall. USA
verses Canada for a gold medal in the 2nd annual Winter Youth Olympic games in Lillehammer,
Norway. An experience that not even the most immense words can put into perspective to true
form. Perhaps a hockey rivalry that is bigger than the game itself. A crowd of 4,000 giving off
the perception that they are breathing down your neck. My heart pumps at a rate that only a
cyclist can relate to. The mental focus that I have to have is essential because of the vast amount
of distraction presented. The score was 1 1 heading into the final period, either a dream come true
or a dream rather forgotten. A Youth Olympic gold medal on the line something which can only be
obtained in men s ice hockeyby seventeen individuals every four years. In the back of my mind I
can hear the whispers of USA s 4th place finish in men s ice hockey four years back in Austria,
knowing that regardless we were going to make history tonight. The game continued as a back and
forth affair it seemed as if our teams were very closely matched. A group of US athletes acted as
our student section roaring to motivate us to prevail. The sweat... Show more content on

There was only five minutes remaining, and we were on the power play. A man advantage with
five minutes left in a tie game for two minutes what else could you ask for? I stepped on to the
ice I was so zoned in I could hear my skates shuffling across the ice as a skated to my position.
The play was tough but our team was skilled, and had the ability to overcome adversity. I got the
puck on the blue line passed it across to my teammate who had a god given passing lane to another
teammate who shot it right through the red metal posts, with three minutes left in the game we had

Stephen Glass In The Film Shattered Glass
Who is Stephen Glass? Is he trustworthy and truthful or manipulative and deceitful? After watching
the film Shattered Glass, the viewer is able to grasp a greater understanding of the central character
in this film, Stephen Glass, and answer this question once and for all. Glass is considered an
extremely kind, unique, manipulative, and, overall, interesting character. In the beginning of the
movie, his coworkers in the office fall in love with him, making him everyone s favorite. Abruptly,
everything goes downhill. Glass finds himself shifting from the New Republics key to success, to
the biggest downfall of the company; all within the matter of a few days. Although he is extremely
likable, he uses his manipulative personality to cover up... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One little mistake ended up exposing him completely, landing him with no job and no friends
who have his back. Stephen Glass published his biggest article yet, Hack Heaven , where he
falsely reported an immense amount of information. He claimed that he was present at the event
taking place regarding a hacker convention, but in reality he was not. In fact, none of it was true,
every single detail he wrote in the article was fake news. Glass argued that he acquired enough
information from other random sources he came across, leading him to believe nobody would find
out if he had no personal fact to back up the information himself. He made up fake people, quoted
them, referenced different nonexistent companies, and participated in other unethical actions.
Everything began deteriorating when a man named Adam Penenberg, a writer for another
newspaper, dug further into Glass story. Starting as theories, Penenberg and his co worker Andy
Fox built up a case and began supporting it with facts, finally becoming confident with the fact that
Stephen Glass fabricated the entire piece, Hack Heaven . Facts such as dates and times did not
match up with Glass statements and neither did websites and phone numbers. For example,
Penenberg told Stephen Glass that the website for one of the sources that he mentioned in his
article, Juke Micronics, was not believable. He said, Quite frankly, it

South Carolina Dbq Questions And Answers
Why Was Charles Town Impenetrable to Settle OnSouth Carolina is a triven state in the United
States, it has a lot of history to it like having a lot to do in the revolutionary war. It has some of the
outstanding neighborhood in America. It seems to be a good vacation spot, well it would surprise
people to know that South Carolinawas once a place where some settlers were trying to settle on the
land, but a couple of things kept the settlers from settling on the rich land. Geography, resources,
and diseases.
One of the reasons Charles Town was tough to settle on was because of geography, the early maps
made it challenging for settles because of the fear of abduction or being taken prisoner from
Natives Americans or pirates. The early ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the first settlers landed on south carolina they were limited with resources. When settlers
came they described the land as flat and woody which means covered in trees as it is stated in
Document B, James Glen, A Description of south Carolina, 1761, the land of South Carolina for
a hundred or a hundred and fifty miles back is flat and woody; intersected with many large
rivers, some of which rise out of the out of the Cherokee Mountains. The land made finding a
place to settle hard because it was hard to reach. After they settled or somewhat of settled the
diversity of the soil made it tough to grow food, soil like clay, loam, and marl were hard to
distinguish. Clay is a type of soil that does not help plants grow or can grow plant, loam is like
clay but with sand and silt, but silt is like a fertilizer that helps plants grow .The diversity of the
lands soil made it difficult for the settlers to identify the type of soil like clay, loam, and marl. The
lands of savannah was also cleared by indians and did not produce any trees. The land they wanted
to settle on was filled with dangerous creatures of nature. These creatures include Panthers,
Tigers, wolves, and other dangerous animals, which in a cause of this became dangerous at night,
and day.
There was another reason South Carolina was hard to settle on, it s because to diseases.
Diseases like the small poxs were what damaged the population and reduced it to not that much
people. Then the settlers decided to settle in South carolina, they were mat with a violent kind of
small pox rages in Charles Town. As it is stated in Document E The Letterbook of Eliza Lucas
Pinckney 1739 1762 a violent kind of small pox rages in Charles Town that most puts a stop to all
business . The small pox are one of the reasons South Carolina was tough to settle

Worm Hole Attack Essay
Figure 3: Worm hole attack
E.Motivation and Problem Formulation
Application of game theoretic approach to individual nodes distributes the responsibility of
security to all the nodes in the network thus reducing the loop holes in the security. The Game
Theory approach explored in recent times addressing security issues in MANET focuses mostly on
networks having central administration involving only 2 players i.e. attacker and defender. We
propose a novel game theoretic approach with multiple players for security in MANETs.
In a distributed environment there is no central administration and hence each node has to defend
himself from the attacks. We propose a dynamic mean п¬Ѓeld game theoretic approach to enable an
individual node in MANETs to make strategic security defense decisions without centralized
administration. In the proposed mean п¬Ѓeld game theoretic approach, each node only needs to
know its own state information and the aggregate effect of the other nodes in the MANET[2],
making nodes self reliable against attacks. Enhancing Security in Mobile Ad Hoc Network.
II.LITERATURE SURVEY
Author in [1] propose a new approach to automated response called the response and recovery
engine (RRE). These engine employs a game theoretic response strategy against adversaries
modeled as opponents in a two player Stackelberg stochastic game. [2] proposed a Mean field
Game Theory approach which can be applied to distributed networks having multiple players. The
research proposes

Also since the local security took part in the attacks and genocide, it was hard to unify the country because they supported the ethnic cleansing. The returnees not being able to return to their homes added to Bosnia being ethnically fractured after the war. As expressed by McMahon and Western, In ethnically fractured postwar Bosnia, however, such decentralization further weakened efforts to build a coherent state. As represented by Dahlman and Tuathail, The success of reaching one million returns is tempered by the reality that Bosnia is still a broken country, where obstructionism, political corruption, and economic hardship compound the legacy of wartime displacements (Г“ Tuathail and Dahlman 2004b). All of the problems that still existed in Bosnia even after the war, like political corruption, caused the country to remain broken even though so many people were able to return to their prewar homes. The country also remained broken after the war because the Bosnian Muslims were still left isolated and vulnerable. As supported by McMahon and Western, Second, exiting Bosnia will now leave Bosnian Muslims isolated and vulnerable, sending precisely the wrong message to the Muslim world at a time when Brussels and Washington are trying to mend relationships frayed by the Iraq war and the global war on terror. • 12. The Brazilian Culture Of Brazil Essay Much like the U.S., Brazilian culture is extremely diverse. Brazil s current population of 190 million represents various nationalities from European to African (Country Facts). Brazil has an extremely diverse culture with some common pervasive threads that grouped together give Brazil a national identity. The concept of aesthetics describes what people of certain cultures tend to consider to be popular or in good taste (Wild Wild, 2014). To this extent, despite being mostly unified by a single language, Brazil represents such a diverse culture that regional aesthetic variances could almost seem like they were different countries altogether (Castano, Goossens, Terlouw, and Vliet, n.d.). According to Encyclopedia Britannica, of all the cultures that make up the Brazilian way of life, the Portuguese culture is the dominant influence and provides the main language, religion, and many customs. Indigenous Indians and African influences are also apparent in some forms, especially in certain parts of the country. If one were to ask a Brazilian what symbols they feel would represent the culture of Brazil, Everyculture.com states that most in the country would view soccer, family, and the four day national party called Carnival as the symbols of Brazil s passion and free spirit. Lancelot ( The Knight Of The Cart, And Perceval The stories of Lancelot (The Knight of the Cart) and Perceval (The Story of the Grail) within ChrГ©tien de Troyes Arthurian Romances depict a world of Medieval Romance that is somewhat different from one that was depicted in earlier epics. These romances are more focused on the battle between love and honor rather than on war and valor, which were depicted in earlier epics of de Troyes time. The tale of Lancelot follows a star struck knight who undergoes an inner conflict between both the lover and hero inside him. His intense commitment to rescuing the queen causes him to make rash decisions which inevitably restrain him from controlling his own fate. Perceval s story exhibits a different purpose for lovein a knight s life. Unlike Lancelot, he accepts love only when he believes it can further advance him in becoming the perfect knight. The two heroes actions showcase an inner conflict between maintaining their honor as knights and the love for another. Through these two tales, ChrГ©tien de Troyes shows that that idealistic love and conscious chivalry cannot necessarily successfully coexist, yet it is the unachievable idealistic view that these two ideals do coexist. In The Knight of the Cart, Lancelot sets out to rescue Queen Guinevere, who he has fallen in love with and has been captured by King Arthur s enemy, Meleagant. One of his most well known and influential works An Essay on the Principle of Population argued that the increase in population growth would ultimately create social and economic problems for a nation. On the contrary, many famous political economists such as Ester Boserup and Julian Simon suggested different views about populationand resource growth; which contradicts the Malthus theory. Thomas Malthus wrote An Essay on the Principle of Population argued that the increasing rate of population growth is the impetus of many social and economic issues that affects our society. His belief was that population increases in geometrical scale whilst basic supply for humans increase in arithmetical scale, I SAID THAT POPULATION, WHEN UNCHECKED, increased in a geometrical ratio, and subsistence for man in an arithmetical ratio. (Quoted from An Essay on the Principle of Population, Chapter 2, page 6) Malthus believed that overpopulation would lead to mass malnutrition, famine, disease and even war. He proposed two kinds of method that could keep the population in a sustainable level. Marshall (1919) argued that the specialized engineers were controlled by the managers and plans and they pay most attention to the operation and the immediate outcome instead of the strategic perspectives. Secondly, Locke (1982) agreed with Taylor that money is what the worker wants most was not entirely misguided. And then I remembered that I had read about Abraham Lincoln going down the Mississippi as a young man...He saw human beings bought and sold in the slave market there and he was so horrified by this that he never forgot it ( Audio on The Negro Speaks of Rivers ) With this knowledge it is easy to see that the bosom [turning] all golden in the sunset symbolizes the freeing of the slaves after the passing of Abe Lincoln s Emancipation Proclamation and the metaphorical dawning of a new day that occurred thereafter for the negro people. As one examines the symbolism of the rivers mentioned in the poem, it becomes easier to see elements of Hughes style and his efforts to highlight the significance of the black soul . During the Harlem Renaissance, a time of artistic revival in Harlem, black writers were faced with a dilemma. Whites celebrated the supposedly primitive (that is, natural, basic, and uncivilized) qualities of black culture because they were seen as rejuvenating a depleted, over civilized Western culture. (Hardy) Consequently black writers during this time were faced with the choice of either adopting the European forms of writing despite their limited access and experiential connection (Hardy) or be labeled as primitive and simple. In The Negro Speaks of Rivers Hughes, in a way steals the thunder of this simple stereotype. Through symbolism he shows the long lineage of the black race all the way back to the Mesopotamian cultures and how it dwarfs any achievements of the United States one hundred fifty year history. ... Incorporating the patient in their care will help with the patients healing process as well as encouraging the patient to be more compliant with their prescribed care. Bedside reporting is a practice that some organizations have incorporated in their standards of care. The patients care does not stop when the nurse s shift ends. Therefore, it is important for the patient s information to be conveyed accurately to the oncoming nurse. Conducting shift reports at the bedside allows the oncoming nurse to both visualize and interact with the patient much sooner than if the nurse had received report in another manner. Furthermore, bedside reporting allows the patient to interact with both nurses; and allows them to see that their care is being properly managed. This type of reporting also allows the oncoming nurse to ask questions, as other methods of shift reporting limits the oncoming nurse from interacting and asking questions of the off going nurse. Patient satisfaction as well as accurate transfer of information and patient safety is a crucial part in providing quality patient care. A1. Essay On Counterculture In The 1960s One of the most exciting things about studying more recent history is almost intrinsically connected to the advent of the photographic camera, which offers spontaneous imagery of events in the moment that the artwork of the past could only attempt to recreate. The transition from black and white with a burst of color following the Second World War offered to the public eye a realistic representation of events that they had not had the opportunity to experience before. Color photographs boomed in the decades following the war, which provides historians today with a wide breadth of visual sources with which to corroborate other materials. This is especially true when examining the documentation of the counterculture in the 1960s. Similarly, the hippie counterculture eventually developed a strong anti war sentiment regarding the American intervention in Vietnam. However, the doctrine of love and pacifism resulted in the hippies never developing militant behaviors in the way that the members of SDS did. It can be utilized to raise plants, cure diseases, create genetically modified babies, and clone living organisms. In other words, scientists can use genomes as Lego blocks to build or change an organism. When an innovative idea is introduced to people, two groups manifest: one that supports the idea and one that opposes it. On the surface of the issue, genetic engineeringseems to only serve benefits. However, while the development of genetic engineering can change our world for the better, it has various negative influences on the human race in many aspects: it is harmful toward the agricultural environment; it acts against nature; and it creates ethical problems. • 36. Local Area Networks Are Hampered By The Cost, Performance,... VLANs In the past, companies were hampered by the cost, performance, and security issues that are associated with local area networks or LANs. LANs must be connected physically to switches which means that each LAN must have its own switch (prtl.uhcl.edu, 2016, para. 13). The virtualized version of the LANs, virtual local area networks (VLANs), allows users to invest in only one switch (prtl.uhcl.edu, 2016, para. 13). The VLAN is used in the virtual data center environment to separate a single LAN into more than one network while being physically connected to one switch. One advantage of VLANs is that network administrators can now sort devices by whatever criteria they require without physical location being an issue. Different VLANs can be set for different groups or departments within the same LAN. Performance is improved because, when the LAN is broken up into VLANs, it is not receiving broadcasts from all of the devices (certbros.com, 2015, para. 4). Cost is decreased because separate switches are not required for VLANs. A security benefit is provided because VLANs can be configured to accommodate the different security levels needed, and the administrator can choose whether or not to allow the VLANs to communicate with each other (certbros.com, 2015, para. 6). Reflexologydates back to 2330 BCE, and has become a very sought after healing treatment for patients of many different illnesses. In the 4th century, a Chinese acupuncturist called Dr. Ko Hung discovered that using his thumbs to apply a deep pressure to the soles of the feet while acupuncture needles were in the place was a means of enhancing healing and encouraging energy to be released . Additionally, there is a statement about the distinction between nakedness and nudity , saying that in the European tradition, nakedness is simply a state of having no clothes on and nudity being a form of an artistic representation. On the other hand, Berger has also discussed the meaning of nakedness outside the artistic context, arguing that naked is a process, not a state because it breaks down the mystification of what is behind all the body wrapping and simplifies the reality. We will mainly focus our discussion on the effects the financial crisis had on Canada and the U.S and examine why both countries were affected differently. Although the collapse of the housing bubble is the most identifiable cause, it is extremely difficult to pinpoint one specific defining moment or event triggering the global financial collapse. There are many factors involved, due to the complex nature of the financial systems across the world, and this paper will delve in the key contributing variables that led to this financial crises. To begin, a brief history recap of the financial crises in 2008 will be given. Following that will be a breakdown of how the financial systems were set up in Canada and the U.S. We will then, in detail, discuss the Canadian and the U.S financial markets, in particular, the housing market and how each country was affected by the 2008 financial crisis. Lastly, we will proceed to evaluate the overwhelming differences between Canada and the U.S; from their core financial system to mortgages that allowed the Canadian market to remain excluded from the dire consequences of the US market recession, which followed shortly after the financial crisis. A Brief History of the 2008 Financial Collapse The 2008 financial collapse were both the result of a series of deregulatory measures and a lack of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 44. Hockey Rivalry The intense sounds of the mixed nation crowd filled the ears of many in Kristin s Hall. USA verses Canada for a gold medal in the 2nd annual Winter Youth Olympic games in Lillehammer, Norway. An experience that not even the most immense words can put into perspective to true form. Perhaps a hockey rivalry that is bigger than the game itself. A crowd of 4,000 giving off the perception that they are breathing down your neck. My heart pumps at a rate that only a cyclist can relate to. The mental focus that I have to have is essential because of the vast amount of distraction presented. The score was 1 1 heading into the final period, either a dream come true or a dream rather forgotten. A Youth Olympic gold medal on the line something which can only be obtained in men s ice hockeyby seventeen individuals every four years. In the back of my mind I can hear the whispers of USA s 4th place finish in men s ice hockey four years back in Austria, knowing that regardless we were going to make history tonight. The game continued as a back and forth affair it seemed as if our teams were very closely matched. A group of US athletes acted as our student section roaring to motivate us to prevail. The sweat... A man advantage with five minutes left in a tie game for two minutes what else could you ask for? I stepped on to the ice I was so zoned in I could hear my skates shuffling across the ice as a skated to my position. The play was tough but our team was skilled, and had the ability to overcome adversity. I got the puck on the blue line passed it across to my teammate who had a god given passing lane to another teammate who shot it right through the red metal posts, with three minutes left in the game we had taken the ... • 45. Stephen Glass In The Film Shattered Glass Who is Stephen Glass? Is he trustworthy and truthful or manipulative and deceitful? After watching the film Shattered Glass, the viewer is able to grasp a greater understanding of the central character in this film, Stephen Glass, and answer this question once and for all. Glass is considered an extremely kind, unique, manipulative, and, overall, interesting character. In the beginning of the movie, his coworkers in the office fall in love with him, making him everyone s favorite. Abruptly, everything goes downhill. Glass finds himself shifting from the New Republics key to success, to the biggest downfall of the company; all within the matter of a few days. Although he is extremely likable, he uses his manipulative personality to cover up... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One little mistake ended up exposing him completely, landing him with no job and no friends who have his back. Stephen Glass published his biggest article yet, Hack Heaven , where he falsely reported an immense amount of information. He claimed that he was present at the event taking place regarding a hacker convention, but in reality he was not. In fact, none of it was true, every single detail he wrote in the article was fake news. Glass argued that he acquired enough information from other random sources he came across, leading him to believe nobody would find out if he had no personal fact to back up the information himself. He made up fake people, quoted them, referenced different nonexistent companies, and participated in other unethical actions. Everything began deteriorating when a man named Adam Penenberg, a writer for another newspaper, dug further into Glass story. Starting as theories, Penenberg and his co worker Andy Fox built up a case and began supporting it with facts, finally becoming confident with the fact that Stephen Glass fabricated the entire piece, Hack Heaven . Facts such as dates and times did not match up with Glass statements and neither did websites and phone numbers. For example, Penenberg told Stephen Glass that the website for one of the sources that he mentioned in his article, Juke Micronics, was not believable. He said, Quite frankly, it ... • 46. South Carolina Dbq Questions And Answers Why Was Charles Town Impenetrable to Settle OnSouth Carolina is a triven state in the United States, it has a lot of history to it like having a lot to do in the revolutionary war. It has some of the outstanding neighborhood in America. It seems to be a good vacation spot, well it would surprise people to know that South Carolinawas once a place where some settlers were trying to settle on the land, but a couple of things kept the settlers from settling on the rich land. Geography, resources, and diseases. One of the reasons Charles Town was tough to settle on was because of geography, the early maps made it challenging for settles because of the fear of abduction or being taken prisoner from Natives Americans or pirates. The early ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When the first settlers landed on south carolina they were limited with resources. When settlers came they described the land as flat and woody which means covered in trees as it is stated in Document B, James Glen, A Description of south Carolina, 1761, the land of South Carolina for a hundred or a hundred and fifty miles back is flat and woody; intersected with many large rivers, some of which rise out of the out of the Cherokee Mountains. The land made finding a place to settle hard because it was hard to reach. After they settled or somewhat of settled the diversity of the soil made it tough to grow food, soil like clay, loam, and marl were hard to distinguish. Clay is a type of soil that does not help plants grow or can grow plant, loam is like clay but with sand and silt, but silt is like a fertilizer that helps plants grow .The diversity of the lands soil made it difficult for the settlers to identify the type of soil like clay, loam, and marl. The lands of savannah was also cleared by indians and did not produce any trees. The land they wanted to settle on was filled with dangerous creatures of nature. These creatures include Panthers, Tigers, wolves, and other dangerous animals, which in a cause of this became dangerous at night, and day. There was another reason South Carolina was hard to settle on, it s because to diseases. Diseases like the small poxs were what damaged the population and reduced it to not that much people. Then the settlers decided to settle in South carolina, they were mat with a violent kind of small pox rages in Charles Town. As it is stated in Document E The Letterbook of Eliza Lucas Pinckney 1739 1762 a violent kind of small pox rages in Charles Town that most puts a stop to all business . • 47. Worm Hole Attack Essay Figure 3: Worm hole attack E.Motivation and Problem Formulation Application of game theoretic approach to individual nodes distributes the responsibility of security to all the nodes in the network thus reducing the loop holes in the security. The Game Theory approach explored in recent times addressing security issues in MANET focuses mostly on networks having central administration involving only 2 players i.e. attacker and defender. We propose a novel game theoretic approach with multiple players for security in MANETs. In a distributed environment there is no central administration and hence each node has to defend himself from the attacks. We propose a dynamic mean п¬Ѓeld game theoretic approach to enable an individual node in MANETs to make strategic security defense decisions without centralized administration. In the proposed mean п¬Ѓeld game theoretic approach, each node only needs to know its own state information and the aggregate effect of the other nodes in the MANET[2], making nodes self reliable against attacks. Enhancing Security in Mobile Ad Hoc Network. II.LITERATURE SURVEY Author in [1] propose a new approach to automated response called the response and recovery engine (RRE). These engine employs a game theoretic response strategy against adversaries modeled as opponents in a two player Stackelberg stochastic game.
