American culture has changed so much in the past century. Looking back to the
1900s there wasn t technology like we have today. Today with all the technology and
the capabilities of getting breaking news faster allows us to input that information in
our minds and it eventually pulls people into the conflict. There are pros and cons
about whether we should get news faster or is the media adding fuel to the fire with
stories. When you look at the word responsibilities you often tend to think that it
holds someone accountable whether its you, the media or a different country. When
you look at social responsibilities from the media you end up with a 50/50 chance of
that information being true.
My next question is does the information media have social responsibility? Some may
say no they don t have social responsibility. As for many of us we tend to believe
they do have social responsibility. They are responsible for what they are
publishing. Let s look at an example of this. Let s say I was to go downtown and
make up a story. I then make a big scene to gather as many people as I can. Then as
the people are listening and watching I precede to tell them the local county
officials are spending the tax payer s money on alcohol and private parties for
themselves. At this point I honestly don t know if they do but I heard it from a
friend of mine. So, by hearing that I assume its true since that person is my friend.
Well in this case its not true but I end up getting arrested for defaming the officials.
Now look at the media. They can publish an article making claims that the
presidential campaign is doing illegal activity. Do they get arrested for making false
claims? The answer is no. Why is that? That s not very fair if you think about it.
If the media is going to publish millions of stories just because they have journalists
reporting back to them then that holds them accountable for the story. They are
taking the word from a person which they don t know if that journalist is tweaking

neutrality. If net neutrality were to be repealed it would harm gobs of people, start up

The United States Constitution is unarguably the most imperative document
regarding the United States and its citizens. The Constitution establishes America s
government and its fundamental laws we live by today. It fulfills and guarantees our
basic rights as United States citizens. Within the constitution, the laws are split up
into amendments which clarify and secure our privileges. Among those decrees lies
the Fourteenth Amendment: which is the most important, yet controversial, one of
all. The Fourteenth Amendment addresses citizenship rights and equal protection of
the laws. This amendment foresees what it means to be a United Statescitizen and the
protection and rights you deserve from the government. Ironically, controversy and
debate has surrounded this amendment; which was proposed to create unity and
security within the U.S. Since it originated in 1868, many different court cases have
debated the literal meaning of being a United States citizen and the rights it entails.
Some have even attempted to rewrite the original amendment to fit one s desires,
though none have prevailed.
In the final years of the American Civil War and the Reconstruction Era, the
Congress had repetitively deliberated the rights of many former black slaves; whom
were freed due to the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. After years of
deliberation, Congress decided to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1866 which

Over the past decades, being gay was something no one talked about. It was a
subject that was very taboo and society didn t accept. People saw it as a stage one
goes through and something unnatural. Thanks to the media, more and more
celebrities have come out of the closet over the years. Soon people became accepting
of the gay community and their life style. Being openly gay, lesbian, transgender, or
bisexual in the workforce can lead to discrimination. Gay mirages are also frowned
upon by society. Unfortunately, there aren t many laws that protect gay rights.
Everyday in America, gay people are being fired, denied a job, refused promotion,
or some other form of discrimination. It s not because they don t qualify for the job
it s because they are gay. 21/50 states in the US have rights set to protect them from

I do believe that my experience in the Bachelor s program has helped me improve my
leadership skills. I have gained more confidence in myself and I really love college.
How I gained more confidence is that I started a group study session in my
Accounting class this is where all of my classmates can get together and we do group
projects or homeworkbasically study to get decent grades. I don t want any of my
classmates to come up short so I would give my support and help any individual who

Abstract The present study deals with review of pharmacological and ethnobotanical
uses of Aristolochia bracteolata L. from family Aristolochiaceae is commonly known
as Kida mari, Gidan pala. The plant has been used widely by traditional practitioners
for the treatment of various diseases in in Indian subcontinent in the traditional
system of medicine to treat cholera, fever, bowel troubles, ulcers, leprosy, skin
diseases, menstrual problems and snakebites. The plant is also used as
emmenagogue, abortifacient, antineoplastic, antiseptic, anti inflammatory,
antimicrobial, antipyretic, antifertility and antispermatogenic agent. Aristolochic acid,
a major active constituent of the plant is reported to cause cancer, nephropathy, sister
chromatid exchange and is a potent abortifacient. Aristolochia species are also used in
China, Philippines, Cuba, Nigeria, East and West Africa, Caribbean island, and sub
tropical countries as a folk medicine to treat eczema, rheumatic pain, stomachic,

According to several surveys conducted in the western countries, delirium still is not
an extensively focused problem in the ICU settings(13, 97, 98). So, an appropriate
ICU staff education is one of the mainstays in developing an efficient preventive and
therapeutic plan against ICU delirium(99). For this purpose, ICU nurses and
clinicians should have a completecomprehension of deliriumand be aware of its
importance as a significantcomorbidity that should be immediately intervened.
Generally, the risk factors for delirium affecting individual ICU patients are different
from patient to patient and therefore an individualized delirium prevention strategy is

treating delirium is unknown, it is thought that haloperidol acts through
antagonizing brain dopamine 2 receptor and reducing dopaminergic activity at the
cerebral synapses and basal ganglia(97, 109, 110). Initially, 2mg of the medication
is administered intravenously. It could be repeated every 15 20 min, doubling the
dose each time until agitation is resolved. After stabilizing the patient, the
leasteffective dose should be used every 4 6h as the maintenance (11). Olanzapine
(2.5 5 mg orally per day) and other atypical antipsychotics such asziprasidone (40 mg
orally every 6 12h) and quetiapine (50 mg orally every 12h)have also been used in
