T. V TV Show
Friends Forever
Back when I was still in high school, whenever the clock turned eleven p.m., my brother and I
immediately turn the television to channel 5 to watch the rerun of our all time favorite T.V. sitcom,
Friends. This was when we use the time to sit back and relax with the show s hilarious and funny
moment.
On September 22, 1994, NBC debuted a brand new sitcom about the life of six friends living in
New York City, with the creators, Marta Kauffman and David Crane, never expecting it to become
such a huge and phenomenal success. The show started off with Rachel Green, played by Jennifer
Anniston, as a run away bride who came into the city looking for help from her old high school
friends, Monica Geller, portrayed by Courtney Cox. There ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Yes, it is a sitcom so the main focus is to bring laughter to the viewers. However, if it want to
stick with the audiences and be remember long after the show is over, it need to touch the
viewers heart, and that s is exactly what the show did. There are so many moments to choose
from, ranging from Phoebe saying goodbye to her triplets, Ross and Rachel s breakup, to the
final goodbye between the gang. The most touching and memorable scene for me would be
when Monica and Chandler found out they cannot have a baby. It all started when Rachel was
giving birth to her child that the two decided to try to have one of their own. After failing for
what seem to be the hundredth time, Chandler and Monica decided to go get themselves tested
and see what s wrong. What follow was the emotional moment where Chandler got a phone call
from the clinic telling him the bad new. This touching and sad moment will leave viewers
breathless as they feel compassion for the couple. This was even more upsetting to know that
around the same time that this was film, Courtney Cox, who played Monica, was faced with a
miscarriage herself. Cox and her husband were in fact very relatable with what was happening with
Chandler and Monica, since they too struggle to get pregnant for about two years. In a NBC
interview with Matt Lauer, Cox stated that she was finding difficulty in

Choosing Two Non Developmental Theories
Select two non developmental theories (or nursing conceptual models applicable to family nursing)
that help you understand an aspect of family functioning that you have noted in your work with
your select family. For each of the two theories, describe its core concepts, then discuss why it
explains the healthy (or not so healthy) functioning of your family. Support with examples. Based
on the theories and models I reviewed the first non developmental theories that have helped assist
me in understanding my family is the Structural Functional Theory. According to Friedman,
Bowden, and Jones (2003), the Structural Functional framework is built on the basis that family
represents a social system and therefore you must examine a families interactions within their
societal construct (p.70). Identifying how a family interacts with one another and how their
relationships with healthcare providers, schools, family, members of society, and other
organizations, which can help a nurse determine what areas may need strengthening. According to
Friedman et al., (2003) this approach characterizes the family as open to outside influences, yet at
the same time, is concerned with maintaining its boundaries (p.70). Thus, allowing adaptability
among the family units as an individual institution in their society. The theories primary
assumptions include a family as a social system that has functional requirements and that function
similarly to most small groups, as families are social

The Effects Of Energy Subsidies On The Consumer, The...
Abstract Subsidies are one of the most powerful policy tools in the hands of the government. They
have been used for decades to achieve a range of economic, social and environmental objectives.
Indeed, one of the most important and challenging responsibilities of a government is allocating
financial resources to achieve public good. This paper analyses the effects of energy subsidies on
the consumer, the economy and the energy industry. Energy subsidies are any government actions
that support the cost of energy production in terms of reduction in prices paid by consumers and
increase in revenues to energy producers (World Bank, 2010). These investments aim to improve
energy access by making prices more affordable, shielding domestic consumers from international
price volatility and supporting energy intensive industries (The International Institute for
sustainable development, 2012).In practice, energy subsidies come in different forms. (The IEA,
2002) and (UNEP, 2008) identify the following typical mechanisms by which governments support
the production and consumption of energy: Direct financial transfers: grants to consumers, grants
to producers, low interest or preferential loans and government loan guarantees; Preferential tax
treatment: tax credits, tax rebates, exemptions on royalties, duties or tariffs, reduced tax rates,
deferred tax liabilities and accelerated depreciation on energy supply equipment; Trade restrictions:
tariffs, tariff rate import quotas

Theme Morality In Ethan Frome By Edith Wharton
The author, Edith Wharton uses the theme morality, to describe the feelings of the characters.
Wharton displays the theme throughout the story with symbols, motifs, and irony; he wants to
be able to connect to the readers. The novel uses morality as a sense of principles between right
and wrong. Morality seems to have its up and downs in the story, as it does in real life. The author
uses this particular type of theme with characters to have a more realistic plot and to help the
reader understand of what is going on in the book. In the novel Ethan Fromemorality is a constant
obstacle faced with the characters. Ethan principles are challenged throughout the novel with his
feelings for Mattie. She stood just as Zeena had stood, a lifted lamp in her hand, against the
black background of the kitchen. She held the light at the same level, and it drew out with the
same distinctness her slim young throat and the brown wrist no bigger than a child s. Then,
striking upward, it threw a lustrous fleck on her lips, edged her eyes with velvet shade, and laid
a milky whiteness above the black curve of her brows. Wharton, Edith. Ethan Frome. Dover
Thrift Editions. 1991.pp.33. Ethan is able to see Mattie as the position as his wife, despites
Mattie and Zeena physical and age differences. Ethan faces the rights and wrongs for his
feelings, and often has to put his feelings on hold. It was almost as if the other face, the face of
the superseded woman, had obliterated that of the intruder. Wharton, Edith. Ethan Frome. Dover
Thrift Editions. 1991. pp.37. Ethan is constantly imagining Mattie as his wife, but every time he
does he feels guilty for even having the idea of replacing Zeena. The author shows the struggle
with Ethan s conscience and desires. The Red Glass Pickle dish represents the marriage of Ethan
and Zeena, so when it broke describes how the couples love is no longer shared. When Mattie
breaks the dish it symbolizes her coming between Ethan and Zeena marriage. Completely
reassured, she shone on him through tear hung lashes, and his soul swelled with pride as he saw
how his tone had subdued her. She did not even ask what he had done. Except when he was
steering a big log down the mountain to his mill he had

together as a whole and make memories that last a lifetime. It s the most wonderful time of the
year! As many people sing throughout the season. All around the world there are many who look
forward to celebrating their religion. But do we know the true meaning of Hanukkah and Christmas
? Christmas is a christian holiday that celebrates the birth of jesus. Who they believe is the son of
god. God sent him to come to serve and teach about his father and his religion. However,
Hanukkah celebrates the eight candles that stand lit on the mendora for a whole eight days.
Antiochus (a king) tried to take over Israel and force them to practice his religion. He destroyed
all buildings and items that were to practice other religions. But a group of jewish soldiers fought
back and won Israel. When going through the buildings they were shocked to see the candles on
the menora still lit, and stayed lit for 8 days. They saw this as a sign of god. But, they do have
things in common. Hanukkah and Christmas involve gift giving and other unique rituals. Both

ways to display their religion. Hanukkah often uses blue and silver colors. There most common

chocolate gelt and dreidel. However, Christmas often is represented by red and green colors.
Decorations they include are green evergreen, fake snow, white colors, ornaments, tinsel, mistletoe.

The Unified Effect In The Fall Of The House Of Usher
During the whole of a dull, dark, and soundless day in the autumn of the year, (412) is the first
sentence in The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe. This beginning sentence sets the
tone of dark. Gothic Literature s style has elements of fear, horror, gloomy and death; it gives the
feeling of suspense and fear. This story is a great example of Gothic Literature. In this story the
narrator goes to Usher s house, which is mysterious, and becomes aware that the house is like
Usher who is sick. Poe s technique of the unified effect accomplishes its intended purpose through
the setting, plot development and imagery. One way Poe accomplished the unified effect was by
the way he described the setting. Poe used very descriptive words, Feeble gleams of encrimsoned
light made their way through the trellised panes, and served to render sufficiently distinct the more
prominent objects, (416). This sentence gives a certain dark tone Poe was achieving. This simply
means that a dim, reddened light was shining only on the important objects. The light being
encrimsoned suggest that there is blood or death. This is foreshadowing the ending of the story
which contributes to the plot development for Poe s technique.... Show more content on

example of foreshadowing, and I learned that the glimpse I had obtained of her person would

no more, (418). This tells us that this would be the last time the narrator would see the lady and
that she would be dead by the end. On top of that, this lets the readers know that there is death
involved, gives the feeling of suspense, which helps with imagery, and sets a dark

Baltimore police force is provided with more resources than a small town police force. The wire
showed how provided the Baltimore police was. In the wire it showed how the media turned the
murder case into a drug case. When the media got involved the police chief made a new drug task
force to fix the problem. This drug task force was made of people in different departments of the
Baltimore police. It shows how the Baltimore police force can spared people for a new program.
When this drug force started to get information about the suspect the head chief funded the

the suspects faster. When the drug force got enough information for a bust. The police force spared
manpower and vehicles, so they can get the suspect.

Sacramental Marriage In The Catholic Church
The union between a baptized man and a baptized woman is known as a sacramental marriage in
the Catholic Church. The two people make a covenant of life and love to each other through the
vows given at the ceremony. Not all people receive the sacrament of marriage because they are
called to another vocation. This sacrament requires preparation and communication between the
couple. They have many decisions that have to be made, involving how their children will be
raised. Both the man and the woman must be open to having children, have free consent to get

I believe what the Catholic church teaches. God sent us here for a reason and a sacramental
marriage is what I feel I am being called to receive. I want to get married because of the idea of
having children has always interested me. A sacramental marriage to me, means that a woman
and man will get married and stay with each other until death. I think that it is very important to
stay with the one you marry because it shows that you are not breaking a covenant that you made.
We are to live out the Paschal Mystery through marriage. There are difficult times and happy
times. The difficult times help the couple grow closer together, along with the happy ones.
Everyone has difficult times in their life and when you are married you have someone with you
through it all. This also means that I will be married for life and not get a divorce, knowing that
the Church does not acknowledge a divorce. I agree with the church s teachings because a child
needs both a mother and father to raise them fully. Having children in the Catholic Church means
that you will raise them in the faith. I believe that this is very important because we were sent here
to procreate. While teaching our children about the faith, it can help the Catholic Church

Silas Marner
George Eliot the pseudonym of Mary Anne Evans was born in Warwickshire, England in 1819.
Eliot was one of the finest realists of Victorian fiction and produced a remarkable range of
intellectual novels throughout her life, including the moral fable of Silas Marner. The 19th Century
was an extremely patriarchal period, which Mary Anne Evans had to pen her name as George Eliot,
otherwise her novels would not be published. George Eliot was a critic of the Victorian society in
which she lived, and which she felt remarkably hypocritical in its treatment of her, as an intelligent,

Life is full of loss and you cannot avoid experiencing it and well as sorrow. As people grow up
they come to realize that the world is not as it seemed to be when they were younger. They get
more independent and their perspective of life changes. They will have to realize that they are not
going to live forever. In the short story The Hurt Man, written by Wendell Berryand published in

During the short story Mat is growing up. He is born unexpected but he is still very much

Death Penalty Persuasive Essay
An Eye For An Eye
Have you ever watched a movie like Alice in Wonderland where every few scenes somebody is
put to death? This really happens to this day. The real question is if you think it should stay or be
abolished. The death penalty is needed and shouldn t be revoked in any of the states that support it.
Capital punishment, or the death penalty, is one of the oldest forms of punishments. Some of the
ways societies used to kill people was: boiling to death, hanging, and decapitation. Today some
countries still use these methods, however here in the United States capital punishment is
mainly death by lethal injection, electric chair, or firing squad. The death penalty should be in
place for three reasons. The first being the religious aspect, the deterrent of crime, and the
overcrowding as well as the cost. The United States is as close as you can be to a theocracy
without being one. Think about our pledge of allegiance, One nation under God and also on our
paper money there is, In God We Trust printed on them. Our founding fathers did not do a great
job at separating church and state. Now it is what every American uses and says everyday no
matter what religion they are. Since there is no getting away from the beliefs of the world then
God is possibly the most important reason to keep capital punishment. In Genesis 9:6: it is written,
Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed This can be easily understood
as, if somebody kills they are to

Examples Of Tragic Flaw In Hamlet
Hamlet Essay Paper A fatal flaw refers to the key element in the precipitous decline of a plan or
person. It is an event that could cause an unexpected problem and prevent an opportunity from
accomplishing its goals and objectives. Fatal flaws can be associated with assumptions which are
difficult to establish. In literature, fatal flaw is associated with a protagonist who has a serious
character flaw which leads to their downfall. (Evans, 158). In the play Hamlet, Hamlet s tragic flaw
is his heart. He is a very clever person because he would make devious plans on finding out if
King Claudius murdered his father or not. He becomes hesitant in carrying out revenge on King
Claudius because Hamlet lacks willpower and passion. His incapability to act is indeed the tragic
flaw. He had an opportunity to kill King Claudius when praying in his chamber but he made
excuses as to why he could not destroy him. This indecisiveness leads to his downfall. He again is

Magnesium and MgO
Conclusions For the first trial, after .398 grams of magnesium were mixed with .251 grams of
oxygen, the result yielded .649 grams of magnesium oxide. In the second trial, after .404 grams of
magnesium were mixed with .132 grams of oxygen, the result yielded .536 grams of magnesium
oxide. In the third trial, after .406 grams of magnesiumwere mixed with .702 grams of oxygen, the
result yielded 1.108 grams of magnesium oxide. All three of the trials yielded different results in
the data table; but, there were only two different empirical formulas, percent compositions and
mole ratios for each of the trials. For the first trial, the empirical formula was MgO and the
percent composition for magnesium was 60.31% and the percent composition for oxygen was
39.69%. For the second trial, the empirical formula was Mg2O and the percent composition for
magnesium was 75.24% and the percent composition for oxygen was 25%. For the last trial, the
empirical formula was MgO but that was after the simplification of the original empirical formula,
Mg2O2, and the percent composition for magnesium was 60.31% and the percent composition for
oxygen was 39.69%. In conclusion, when heat and oxygen were applied to the magnesium, the
common empirical formula that was derived from magnesium and oxide was MgO.
Discussion of Theory The purpose of this lab was to find the percent composition and empirical
formula of magnesium oxide. The empirical formula was proven to be MgO and the percent

Difference Between Classical And Keynesian Economics
Parts of economic theories seem to constantly change because there is no perfect economy;
however, there are two categories in which most economists fall under: Classical and Keynesian.
Classical economists follow the theory described in Adam Smith s Wealth of Nations regarding a
Laissez Faire policy with no government intervention. People who are considered to follow the
Keynesian economic theory generally favor government intervention in the economy during
recessions in the business cycle (Colander p. 524). Three well known economists fall into these
categories: Milton Friedmanand Friedrich von Hayek were considered to be classical economists,
while John Maynard Keynes, developed the Keynesian theory. Friedman was a firm believer in
capitalism and that the market s guiding hand would help to regulate the economy. According to the

Similar to Friedman, he promoted a Laissez Faire style economy and figured that government
intervention during recessions would only make problems worse (Encyclopedia of World
Biography 222). He also believed that the more regulations the government had on the economy, the
less freedom consumers had when making a purchase (223). During the Cold War, many
economists though the Soviet Union s economy would grow at such a high rate that it would be
larger than the United States economy; however, Hayek found holes in these arguments and did not
think this was true. According to economist David Peterson, Hayek s argument was, ...prices that
efficiently allocate resources cannot be set by government fiat. When an economy lacks the daily
input of the individual decisions of millions of consumers...the result is colossal waste and
inefficiency (86). This contributes to Hayek s free enterprise view on the economy, that it should be
consumers who determine the prices of goods based on their demand, not the

Norse And Greek Mythology Similarities
All mythologies explain something. There s always a reason to explain everything, like why the
sun rises every day or sets at night. Why is the sky blue? Why is there thunder or lightning?
People way back when had to have a reason for all of this, so they came up with myths. Myths
explain why things are the way they are. There are plenty of differences and similarities between
different mythologies, but what are the differences and similarities of the Norse and Greek.
First, let s start off with the similarities of their gods or deities. The Greek god Zeus is the leader
of the gods and go of the sky and lightning. He is analogous to the Norse gods Odin and Thor.
Odin is the leader of the Norse gods and Thor is the god of lightning and thunder. Another
similarity between these two mythologies is Aphrodite and Freya. Aphrodite, a greek goddess, is
the goddess of love and beauty while the Norse goddess Freya is also the goddess of the same
things. There are some differences between these two mythologies, including the Greek god Janus.
Janus is the god of beginnings, while in Norse mythology they don t have a god for beginnings. ...

The Importance Of Setting In The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow
Could anybody ask for a better name then Sleepy Hollow for this town. All the people of the
town are sleepy and inactive. There is also a hollow along the Hudson River which is right up
close to the town. In this short story of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Irving captures the setting
well through description, how it affects the characters, and the way it fits with gothic attributes
of this time. In the first couple paragraphs it shows how much Irving wants us to get the creepy
and scared feeling. Not far from this village, perhaps about two miles, there is a little valley or
rather lap of land among high hills, which is one of the quietest places in the world (1). This is
saying that even around the village it is quiet and still. There is emptiness surrounding the village,
lurking and waiting for somebody to pass by. This short storyhas the characters behaviors reflecting
the way the setting is described. In this by place of nature there abode, in a remote period of
American history, that is to say, some thirty years since, a worthy weight of the name of Ichabod

Theme Of Change In Once More To The Lake
Growing up Elouise believed that she could never do well in school, as she always got poor
marks. But once she put her mind to getting good grades and spent more time studying, she
began to perform better in her exams. By focusing on improving her grades rather than doubting
herself, it created a change in her performance. This goes to prove that change is possible over
time when it is coupled with sincere action. Similarly to, Once More to the Lake, by E.B White
and Forgetfulness, by Billy Collins the authors both use different literary devices to accomplish a
similar theme of how time brings change. In the text Once More to the Lake, a father takes his
son to revisit the lake he went to as a child. Once there, he begins to relive the experience he did as
a child and goes through a dual existence. Soon forgettinghe is no longer a child and that time was
long ago. Similarly in Forgetfulness, the author shows that when growing old it is easy to forget
items once known. Throughout both texts, the authors convey a similar theme, time brings change
while using different literary devices such as figurative language.
First and foremost, Once More to the Lake, by E.B White and Forgetfulness, by Billy Collins use
personification and illusion (as well as a bit of an identity crisis) to bring a similar theme. In the text
Forgetfulness, the author shows that as time continues, concepts once learned soon vanish from the
mind. In the beginning of the poem, Billy

Should Motorcycle Helmets Be Required For All Motorcycle...
Helmets should be required for all motorcycle riders.
According to the Kansas Department of transportation, there were, 1,087 motorcycle crashes in
2016. Of those, 860 people involved in the crashes were injured, 52 people died; while only 21 of
those people were wearing helmets (Kansas Department of Transportation). There are only 17 states
in the United States that require helmets be used always, 19 states say that you must wear a helmet
if you are under the age of 18, while 11 states say you must wear a helmet if you are under the age
of 21, leaving only four states that have no helmet laws at all (Motorcycle Helmet Laws)
While some may argue that motorcycle helmets take away their freedom on the road and oppose
their constitutional rights; helmets should be required to be worn by all motorcycle riders
because they prevent skull, brain, and spinal cord injuries. Helmets prevent wind and debris from
getting in the driver s eyes, and its costs tax payers less money to treat helmets wearers than non
helmet wearers. Motorcycle helmets are specially made and tested to prevent injuries from
occurring to the driver s skull, brain, and spinal cord. Many helmets are run through extensive
testing to ensure that they are going to keep the motorcyclist safe in the event of a collision or
slide (Wendling). According to a study, full face helmets, which surround the entire head and cover
the face, reduced the risk of facial and skull fractures by almost half (Wendling). Helmeted

Sharks can be from 11.5 20 feet long plus the tank would have to be much, much, much bigger so
your shark wouldn t get claustrophobic. Imagine when you have to clean it. Another reason is that

The Theory Of Weak Central Coherence
It is widely known that individuals with autism can get very distraught if their routine is changed
even by the smallest details. However, it is not widely known why. One aspect that is a reason for
this is the individual s central coherence. His/her central coherence is what makes them focus on
minute details. This focus on minute details is what can, in turn, make them feel as though their
world is ending because a tiny detail was altered. This information is what leads to the theory of
weak central coherence, a theory that has undergone extensive research by many psychologists,
primarily by Uta Frith and Francesca Happe. This theory helps explain why an individual on the
spectrum focuses on small details rather than the full picture. IF the individual s central coherence
is strong, then s/he can see the big picture or catch to general gist. Those with weak central
coherence focus on the details rather than the big picture to gather meaning. This theory offers an
explanation of why a child with autismfocuses on the details and gets overwhelmed if their schedule
is changed in the slightest way. This also begins to account for the behavioral impairments that are
associated with autism spectrum disorders by explaining why the individuals are so particular
about how they interact with the world around them. Moving forward, there are some important key
terms to be familiar with. The first is central coherence. As previously stated, central coherence is
gathering

The Role Of Textile In Early Civilization
2. In early civilization, it was normal for those who hunted to use the skins of animals as a
covering. As people began depending more upon agriculture, this changed. Textiles were a needed
product. Women spun the yarn by using a distaff and spindle. She held the distaff which was a
long rod that held the loose fibers, along with the spindle, a little rod that revolved as she let it fall.
This way of spinning, twisted the yarnas it was wound. Women had simplified this process to
allow them to accomplish other tasks at the same time they spun the yarn. Once the yarn was spun,
both men and women would help weave the cloth for clothing. Many peoples in early civilizations
used the fleece of sheep and goats. Many raised their sheep especially

This is the most common way to establish trust in the collaborative economy. A complaint of
these reputation systems is the accuracy of reviews given and the tendency to only provide
extremely satisfied or extremely unsatisfied reviews. Some platforms are aware of this and
incorporate mechanisms to encourage accurate, average reviews. For example, Airbnb added a
feature in 2014 to reveal host and guest reviews simultaneously to make both parties feel
comfortable in leaving honest reviews without the worry of a dishonest retaliatory review. The
ATB gig site will not only reveal reviews simultaneously, it will have a template for constructive
feedback. The template will ask for a rating and/or review of specific behaviours, such as adhering
to the terms of the agreement. Both parties, in advance of the gig, will negotiate the agreement to
facilitate clear communication and expectations. Rare and used mostly in online gaming, hybrid
trust models use both network structure and interactions to compute trust. In this model, interacting
users exchange friend lists that are saved as a friendship graph. The more frequent the interactions
and the longer their duration, the higher the trust value. This is an infrequently used trust model.
This model may be considered for a future iteration of the site, but only for ATB employees to
identify service providers who would be a good fit for a permanent role with ATB.

Essay On Moment Of Self Discovery
My moment of self discovery was a coincidence. It was August 13th and it occurred right after

The Term Minority Group Essay
The term minority group refers to a subordinate group whose members have significantly less
control or power over their lives than members of a dominant or majority group. Edmund Burke
states In a democracy, the majority of the citizens is capable of exercising the cruelest oppressions
upon the minority . These simple words sum up the conflicts of every minority groupthroughout our
time. A minority group shares a common set of social practices which are recognized from within
the group and by others outside the group. Sociologyis a social science involving the study of
social lives of people, groups and societies. It studies our behavior as social beings, and covers
everything from the analysis of short contacts between individuals, including history, psychology
and economics. Sociology is rooted from the writings of Auguste Comte a French philosopher who
was best known for his support of positivism . Comte created a unified philosophy about human
behavior to limit human suffering. One example of sociological method and theory is W.E.B Du
Bois and Philadelphia s Negro Problems who used demographic data and personal interviews to
show that the black community was perceived as a source of crime and poverty due to the policies
of society. Data collected through sociology consists of two methods quantitative which often
collects data through surveys and questionnaires. The second method is qualitative which

The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company
Luxury, class, and style at its finest, the Ritz Carlton Hotel company has remained to this day a
well known and spoken ambiance for those seeking a stay unlike any other. Behind all of that
external awe is the working, ever changing and progressive movement for being better than the rest.
However, like any work in progress, there are bound to be problems that need solving in order to
maintain that thriving entitlement. The Ritz Carltonfaced a couple of problems including its seven
day countdown training program and the change in its working processes.
With the opening of a new hotel, providing the best service is daunting when expectations are high
on top of expecting a high occupancy. That said, the program should be altered which would require
a new design and brand however implementing a longer training time would ensure proper training.
Statement of the Problem
The manager, Mr. James McBride deals with the problem of facing a difficult decision regarding
its usual operating procedures in the process of opening a new hotel. Brian Collins from
Millennium Hospitality Group is concerned that seven days is not enough time to properly train
the new Ritz Carlton stuff in order to open the hotel with a higher occupancy rate of 80%. Due to
the fact that Mr. Collins is a partner with the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Mr. McBride has to consider a few
different questions as to whether or not he should consider Mr. Collins s input in the matter. Some
of those considerations include the

Self Assessment And Reflection Paper
Self assessment and Reflection Paper This self assessment and Reflection Paper is about the
questions on page 109. The main arguments are ontological, teleological, and ontological.
Something I learned was worldviews. I think it s important to know the worldviews, so you can see
the other side of things. It allows you to have conversations and arguments with people with those
worldviews and know what they are thinking, knowing the worldview makes it easier to talk to
people about faith. The thing that was most intriguing was the arguments for a creat. The most
challenging thing in this chapter was the ontological argument(). The ontological argument seemed
a little faulty, you could replace God with something else. The ontological argument also was a...

But I understood it a short while after being confused. But the most useful argument was the
cosmological and teleological arguments. Both the cosmological and teleological argument
makes sense.the cosmological arg menos says whatever begins to exist had a creator ()it makes
sense that the earth is very unlikely to just happen, it has a creator, like a watch. The teleological
arguments says if it has a purpose it has a creator, and that makes sense because everything we
make is made by a creator, () how does earth not? It makes sense that the earth and everything on it
comes from a creator. The law of noncontradiction is also a big help in conversations and
arguments, the law of noncontradiction says you cannot contradict yourself, like a materialist
saying all truth is subjective is contradicting their self, because the just made a objective statement.
I chose ontological and teleological arguments because they made most sense to me. They were
easy to understand, simple, and very helpful. Other arguments are helpful,

Pilgrim s Progress By John Bunyan
1) Pilgrim s Progress by John Bunyan is an infamous Christian allegory and wildly considered to be
the first great book of the non secular English language. After the Bible, it was the most read book
for centuries. Bunyan wrote it based on his largely Baptist, often Calvinist theology. This is evident
in Pilgrim s Progress through the name choices of the main characters and his conversation with
Ignorance regarding reaching the Celestial City. The major points which are total depravity,
unconditional election, limited atonement, irresistible grace, and perseverance of saints. Total
depravity states that all mean are inherently sinners, unconditional election entails that certain
people were predestined to receive God s grace no... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Christian tries to correct him and explain that there is only one way to the Celestial City, and his
deeds do not matter. Due to the doctrines of Predestination and Total Depravity, Christian is correct
under Calvinism. Since Ignorance is inherently a sinner, and not elect, he is unable to accept God
s grace and enter the Celestial City by means of his own path according to the concept of Total
Depravity. However, one way that Pilgrim s Progress contradicts Calvinist theory is when
Christian is reading his bible at the very beginning and confesses to his family that he is worried
for their safety because fire from Heaven will soon obliterate the city that they live in and he doesn
t know how to save them. This is contradictory to Calvinism because Christian should inherently
know that he cannot. Since God has preordained everything that will ever happen, Christian cannot
save his family unless that was already been in God s plan. Pilgrim s Progress largely exemplifies
Calvinist ideology throughout the text with each new character that Christian meats. Bunyan made
his viewpoint very clear every everyone of his literary decisions from what the characters shall be
named to how they go about their journeys. Although there are a few nuances that seem less than
Calvinistic, such as Christian s worries at the beginning, for the most part it stats true to the Calvin
course.

Why I Didn t Get A Ticket For The Boat
Please, Mr. Henderson. Melissa tugged her shawl tighter around her shoulders despite the glow of
coals from the stove inside the small brick office. Half past nine o clock and the sun had yet to
break through the morning clouds. With rain threatening, along with its tendency to turn the roads
into quagmires deep enough to swallow a horse or two, she needed to persuade the banker soon.
He glanced up at her, then returned to perusing the papers in front of him, which included the
deed to her land, Rancho Cabrillo. It had been a gamble. She d known, but still she had hoped.
She didn t have enough money to pay for passage on any of the ships leaving California. She d
only had enough for food and lodging while she stayed in San Francisco, ... Show more content on

While she waited with growing impatience for his response, Melissa considered the person who
now held her fate in the palm of his hand. He was a solemn looking gentleman of about thirty. His
short blond hair was carefully combed, his mustache neatly trimmed. His well tailored suit spoke of
understated wealth, but unlike her family, he carried an air of new money. Also unlike her family, a
certain glint of kindness shone in his eyes; a kindness that renewed her hope and strengthened her
resolve. Maybe he would be the one to say yes.
But then his gaze dropped his. The tapping ceased and he leaned forward, sliding the stack of
papers back to her. I wish I could help you, DoГ±a Cabrillo. I truly do. Unfortunately, the Mexican
government issued this deed.
I inherited Rancho Cabrillo when my husband died, and I am an American. Born and raised in New
Orleans.
A Bertrand, I know. He rested his large hands on the desk, toyed with a gold nugget cufflink.
Bertrand Shipping is quite a successful business. Perhaps you could borrow what you need from
your family.
Melissa s lips tightened. The company her father built, now owned by her brothers, boasted one of
the largest fleets of merchant ships out of New Orleans, including both ocean going vessels and
smaller riverboats running up and down the Mississippi. More recently, taking advantage of the
rush of gold seekers traveling to California via the

Interpretive Drift ( Robbins And Dowty, Pg 154 )
After taking this course, I have come to realize that there was one concept that was more
prominently experienced over these past ten weeks this concept being interpretive drift (Robbins
and Dowty, pg 154). Not only did I learn about interpretive drift but also I experienced it
firsthand. To me, this course in itself was a form of anthropological fieldwork (Robbins and
Dowty, pg 16) because as it went on I found myself immersing myself into the mindset of a cultural
researcher, which in turn seemed to alter the way I interpret many of the things I observe in my
everyday life.
Before taking this course, I was plagued with a sense of ethnocentrism (Robbins and Dowty, pg 9)
that I was not fully aware of. I had initially believed that I was ... Show more content on

What I found was that when looking at culture it is important to hold a holistic view. What I mean
is that it is important to understand that no one is without culture, we as humans find ourselves as
being a part of some sort of group and by observing the myths, rituals, key metaphors, and customs
of these groups we can gain insights into the values and beliefs of the people within it. However,
insights can only be gained by keeping an open mind, which can only be done by wholeheartedly
accepting that there are customs, and beliefs that exist beyond our own culture
Part II Atanarjuat The Fast Runner
As I watched Atanarjuat The Fast Runner, I found myself viewing this film in a much different
way than the other films of the course. The difference perhaps was that rather than focusing on
one anthropological topic dictated by the chapter of the week, I instead viewed the film trying my
hardest to observe it as an anthropologist would. The film encompassed many of the topics covered
over the span of the course and as I continued to watch, more and more of these concepts began to
become clear.
Several elements of the film blatantly popped out at me as I watched the film. One of these
elements in particular was so mystifying during my initial viewing that I was required to go back
and re watch it in order to gain a better understanding. The scene that I am referring to occurs within
the first five minutes of

Compare And Contrast Marie And Carrie Curie
Radiation is energy that comes from a source and travels through some material or through space.
Pierre and Marie Curie were partners that had both become interested in the discovery Henri
Becquerel made which was the discovery of radioactivity. Marie and Pierre Curie came up with the
term radioactivity to describe Becquerel s discovery. Marie and Pierre extracted uraniumfrom ore
and compared the pure uranium to the extracted uranium ore samples. They found that the uranium
ore samples contained more radioactivity. Marie s research concluded that the two uranium ore
samples, pitchblende and chalcocite, were more radioactive than the pure uranium and so because
of the high radioactivity of both of the samples there had to be additional radioactive

The Legend Of The West
Wyatt Earp, a legend of the West, almost synonymous like Bufflo Bill, had entrance the nation with
tales of outlaws, cowboy, and prowling lawmen. This has led to many myths surrounding the
famous gunfight at O.K. Corral, in which its popularity as led to many films. The films, My
Darling Clementine, Tombstone, and Wyatt Earp, share a common subject and information,
however, each provides is own perspective into the Earps and the cowboy conflict. The films offer
different versions of the same events and people, however these versions have resulted from or has
led to common myths about the Earps. Paula Marks, in her book And Die in the West provides
accurate information about the events of the O.K. Corral, the Earp family, and the cowboys.... Show

While not the whole story, the legend of Wyatt Earp has led to many films, however these films
often fabricate or remove details. My Darling Clementine, Tombstone, and Wyatt Earp all offer
different perspectives into the legend of Wyatt Earp. In My Darling Clementine, the Earps (Wyatt,
Morgan, Virgil, and James) are moving their cattle in the opening scene. Wyatt a former marshal,
decides to try his hand at raising cattle and start a new more honest life, in his eyes. In the film,
Wyatt and family are portrayed as a true gentlemen; kind and reasonable, but also stern and
steadfast. This enables them to gain the trust of the community and effectively handle any disorder
lawbreakers put out. The Clantons are portrayed as greedy cattle rustlers and hateful to the residents
of Tombstone, often intimidating the saloon goers and bartenders. Doc Hollidaysaid to be a Boston
doctor, was apathetic and distrustful of the people around him. After gaining the trust of Holliday,
the Earps finally square off against the Clantons and win the battle. Afterward, Wyatt and his
brothers are viewed as heroes and found justice for their brother s death. This is a significant
contrast in comparison to the films described below. Tombstone and Wyatt Earp¬ show a
completely different outlook to the Wyatt Earp legend. In Tombstone, the Earp family is portrayed
as an ambitious clan of brothers, seeking their slice of wealth from the

It isn t uncommon for children to have to use these before they do any exercise and they should
always have their inhaler to help deal with there asthma should they need it. If they do not have it

To help the child you can: Try making the child more comfortable it is recommended to put them
in a seating position so that are comfy and it encourages air to get to the lungs. Encourage the
child to use their inhaler. It will usually be a blue inhaler. Reassure the child n try to get them to
breathe deep, slow breaths. If the attack does not calm down then call for an ambulance.
Sickle cell anaemia
Sickle cell anaemia is caused when the red blood cells are of an unusual shape. This is a
condition which is genetically inherited and is especially common in Afro Caribbean children.
Children who have sickle cell disease can have what s called a sickle cell crisis, this is due to the
misshaped blood cells that cling to each other and gather in the joints of the body. This is usually
very painful and can make the child very uncomfortable and distressed. The setting should be given
instructions from the parents on how to treat the child. This is usually done by comforting the child
and calling for medical help or an ambulance.

control the sugars that are in the body.

Cultural Ethical Relativism
Ethical relativism is a theory based on the belief that there are no general standards that are
considered to be ethically acceptable. Ethical relativists believe that there is no actual standard of
what is right or wrong. The two forms of ethical relativism are personal, or individual ethical
relativism and cultural ethical relativism. Personal relativism, also called individual relativism, is
based on the belief that ethical opinions are manifested by the moral viewpoints of each individual.
Personal relativists believe that because there is no specific right or wrong, no specific opinion is
considered reasonable or unreasonable. Everybody has had their own experiences throughout their
lives, which has contributed to how their beliefs are formed.... Show more content on

Opinions are based on the beliefs of each individual culture. Individuals in each society should
focus on the rules and customs within their society in order to make the right decisions. Cultural
ethical relativists believe that one society s views and opinions are not better than any other, even
if the views are completely different in opinion. I do not believe that relativism would work as a
universal theory. Everybody has their own morals and beliefs. What one individual believes is right
may be completely different from what another individual might believe. Relativism may work as a
universal theory within certain cultures and societies but not likely among individuals. There are
certain cultures that share the same customs and beliefs but individuals from different cultures may
have completely different views of what is right or wrong. Supporters of ethical relativism believe
that there is no universal beliefs that

Poverty Is Not A Country Exclusive Issue
Poverty, what is it? Poverty cannot be defined by just one definition. Poverty is a serious
worldwide issue that is affecting all of our lives in the world. In Fact,Did you know nearly half
of the world s population, more than three billion people, live on less than two dollars and fifty
cents a day. Just think, If you were given that same budget could you survive? Would you be able
to live the same lifestyle that you do? The answer is most likely no and this is a mind blowing
statistic. Statics like these are real eye openers, because they make you think and appreciate just
how lucky we are not be living in povertysuch as other countries that are rather called, Third world
countries.

Then these people more often will get sick and eventually die. Another huge issue of poverty is
lack of education. Without a proper education, the poor will stay in poverty . This happens
because without a proper education most employers will ignore the application to the
job, because of the lack of knowledge that you may have. More commonly, people with a higher
education receive more job opportunities. A 2003 study sponsored by the National Center for
Children in Poverty found that in families whose income falls below 200 percent of the Federal
Poverty Line children score far below average on reading, math and general knowledge tests. A
lack of education perpetuates poverty and breaking this cycle is key to overcoming persistent
poverty in the world. That being said, in order for us to eliminate poverty we need to get our
students into better education system and take action for our students to learn so the cycle can end.
Last but most definitely not least, issue that causes poverty is divorce. Single Parents who have
to raise children on their own have a harder time and less resources than a couple who is still
married. Typically divorcing or separating mothers are 2.83 times more likely to be in poverty
than those who remain married. This being said the parent that usually ends up with custody of the
child see a huge drop in their income, which is usually around 52% drop. Consequently , divorce
can easily lead to poverty

  • 2. T. V TV Show Friends Forever Back when I was still in high school, whenever the clock turned eleven p.m., my brother and I immediately turn the television to channel 5 to watch the rerun of our all time favorite T.V. sitcom, Friends. This was when we use the time to sit back and relax with the show s hilarious and funny moment. On September 22, 1994, NBC debuted a brand new sitcom about the life of six friends living in New York City, with the creators, Marta Kauffman and David Crane, never expecting it to become such a huge and phenomenal success. The show started off with Rachel Green, played by Jennifer Anniston, as a run away bride who came into the city looking for help from her old high school friends, Monica Geller, portrayed by Courtney Cox. However, if it want to stick with the audiences and be remember long after the show is over, it need to touch the viewers heart, and that s is exactly what the show did. There are so many moments to choose from, ranging from Phoebe saying goodbye to her triplets, Ross and Rachel s breakup, to the final goodbye between the gang. The most touching and memorable scene for me would be when Monica and Chandler found out they cannot have a baby. It all started when Rachel was giving birth to her child that the two decided to try to have one of their own. After failing for what seem to be the hundredth time, Chandler and Monica decided to go get themselves tested and see what s wrong. What follow was the emotional moment where Chandler got a phone call from the clinic telling him the bad new. This touching and sad moment will leave viewers breathless as they feel compassion for the couple. This was even more upsetting to know that around the same time that this was film, Courtney Cox, who played Monica, was faced with a miscarriage herself. Cox and her husband were in fact very relatable with what was happening with Chandler and Monica, since they too struggle to get pregnant for about two years. In a NBC interview with Matt Lauer, Cox stated that she was finding difficulty in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Choosing Two Non Developmental Theories Select two non developmental theories (or nursing conceptual models applicable to family nursing) that help you understand an aspect of family functioning that you have noted in your work with your select family. For each of the two theories, describe its core concepts, then discuss why it explains the healthy (or not so healthy) functioning of your family. Support with examples. Based on the theories and models I reviewed the first non developmental theories that have helped assist me in understanding my family is the Structural Functional Theory. According to Friedman, Bowden, and Jones (2003), the Structural Functional framework is built on the basis that family represents a social system and therefore you must examine a families interactions within their societal construct (p.70). Identifying how a family interacts with one another and how their relationships with healthcare providers, schools, family, members of society, and other organizations, which can help a nurse determine what areas may need strengthening. According to Friedman et al., (2003) this approach characterizes the family as open to outside influences, yet at the same time, is concerned with maintaining its boundaries (p.70). Thus, allowing adaptability among the family units as an individual institution in their society. • 6. The Effects Of Energy Subsidies On The Consumer, The... Abstract Subsidies are one of the most powerful policy tools in the hands of the government. They have been used for decades to achieve a range of economic, social and environmental objectives. Indeed, one of the most important and challenging responsibilities of a government is allocating financial resources to achieve public good. This paper analyses the effects of energy subsidies on the consumer, the economy and the energy industry. Energy subsidies are any government actions that support the cost of energy production in terms of reduction in prices paid by consumers and increase in revenues to energy producers (World Bank, 2010). These investments aim to improve energy access by making prices more affordable, shielding domestic consumers from international price volatility and supporting energy intensive industries (The International Institute for sustainable development, 2012).In practice, energy subsidies come in different forms. (The IEA, 2002) and (UNEP, 2008) identify the following typical mechanisms by which governments support the production and consumption of energy: Direct financial transfers: grants to consumers, grants to producers, low interest or preferential loans and government loan guarantees; Preferential tax treatment: tax credits, tax rebates, exemptions on royalties, duties or tariffs, reduced tax rates, deferred tax liabilities and accelerated depreciation on energy supply equipment; Trade restrictions: tariffs, tariff rate import quotas ... • 7. Theme Morality In Ethan Frome By Edith Wharton The author, Edith Wharton uses the theme morality, to describe the feelings of the characters. Wharton displays the theme throughout the story with symbols, motifs, and irony; he wants to be able to connect to the readers. The novel uses morality as a sense of principles between right and wrong. Morality seems to have its up and downs in the story, as it does in real life. The author uses this particular type of theme with characters to have a more realistic plot and to help the reader understand of what is going on in the book. In the novel Ethan Fromemorality is a constant obstacle faced with the characters. Ethan principles are challenged throughout the novel with his feelings for Mattie. She stood just as Zeena had stood, a lifted lamp in her hand, against the black background of the kitchen. She held the light at the same level, and it drew out with the same distinctness her slim young throat and the brown wrist no bigger than a child s. Then, striking upward, it threw a lustrous fleck on her lips, edged her eyes with velvet shade, and laid a milky whiteness above the black curve of her brows. Wharton, Edith. Ethan Frome. Dover Thrift Editions. 1991.pp.33. Ethan is able to see Mattie as the position as his wife, despites Mattie and Zeena physical and age differences. Ethan faces the rights and wrongs for his feelings, and often has to put his feelings on hold. It was almost as if the other face, the face of the superseded woman, had obliterated that of the intruder. Wharton, Edith. Ethan Frome. Dover Thrift Editions. 1991. pp.37. Ethan is constantly imagining Mattie as his wife, but every time he does he feels guilty for even having the idea of replacing Zeena. The author shows the struggle with Ethan s conscience and desires. The Red Glass Pickle dish represents the marriage of Ethan and Zeena, so when it broke describes how the couples love is no longer shared. When Mattie breaks the dish it symbolizes her coming between Ethan and Zeena marriage. Completely reassured, she shone on him through tear hung lashes, and his soul swelled with pride as he saw how his tone had subdued her. She did not even ask what he had done. • 11. The Unified Effect In The Fall Of The House Of Usher During the whole of a dull, dark, and soundless day in the autumn of the year, (412) is the first sentence in The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe. This beginning sentence sets the tone of dark. Gothic Literature s style has elements of fear, horror, gloomy and death; it gives the feeling of suspense and fear. This story is a great example of Gothic Literature. In this story the narrator goes to Usher s house, which is mysterious, and becomes aware that the house is like Usher who is sick. Poe s technique of the unified effect accomplishes its intended purpose through the setting, plot development and imagery. One way Poe accomplished the unified effect was by the way he described the setting. Poe used very descriptive words, Feeble gleams of encrimsoned light made their way through the trellised panes, and served to render sufficiently distinct the more prominent objects, (416). This sentence gives a certain dark tone Poe was achieving. This simply means that a dim, reddened light was shining only on the important objects. The light being encrimsoned suggest that there is blood or death. This is foreshadowing the ending of the story which contributes to the plot development for Poe s technique.... This sacrament requires preparation and communication between the couple. They have many decisions that have to be made, involving how their children will be raised. I think that it is very important to stay with the one you marry because it shows that you are not breaking a covenant that you made. We are to live out the Paschal Mystery through marriage. Everyone has difficult times in their life and when you are married you have someone with you through it all. This also means that I will be married for life and not get a divorce, knowing that the Church does not acknowledge a divorce. I agree with the church s teachings because a child needs both a mother and father to raise them fully. Having children in the Catholic Church means that you will raise them in the faith. The 19th Century was an extremely patriarchal period, which Mary Anne Evans had to pen her name as George Eliot, otherwise her novels would not be published. The real question is if you think it should stay or be abolished. The death penalty is needed and shouldn t be revoked in any of the states that support it. Capital punishment, or the death penalty, is one of the oldest forms of punishments. Some of the ways societies used to kill people was: boiling to death, hanging, and decapitation. Today some countries still use these methods, however here in the United States capital punishment is mainly death by lethal injection, electric chair, or firing squad. The death penalty should be in place for three reasons. The first being the religious aspect, the deterrent of crime, and the overcrowding as well as the cost. The United States is as close as you can be to a theocracy without being one. Think about our pledge of allegiance, One nation under God and also on our paper money there is, In God We Trust printed on them. Our founding fathers did not do a great job at separating church and state. Now it is what every American uses and says everyday no matter what religion they are. Since there is no getting away from the beliefs of the world then God is possibly the most important reason to keep capital punishment. • 20. Examples Of Tragic Flaw In Hamlet Hamlet Essay Paper A fatal flaw refers to the key element in the precipitous decline of a plan or person. It is an event that could cause an unexpected problem and prevent an opportunity from accomplishing its goals and objectives. Fatal flaws can be associated with assumptions which are difficult to establish. In literature, fatal flaw is associated with a protagonist who has a serious character flaw which leads to their downfall. (Evans, 158). In the play Hamlet, Hamlet s tragic flaw is his heart. He is a very clever person because he would make devious plans on finding out if King Claudius murdered his father or not. He becomes hesitant in carrying out revenge on King Claudius because Hamlet lacks willpower and passion. His incapability to act is indeed the tragic flaw. He had an opportunity to kill King Claudius when praying in his chamber but he made excuses as to why he could not destroy him. This indecisiveness leads to his downfall. • 32. The Theory Of Weak Central Coherence It is widely known that individuals with autism can get very distraught if their routine is changed even by the smallest details. However, it is not widely known why. One aspect that is a reason for this is the individual s central coherence. His/her central coherence is what makes them focus on minute details. This focus on minute details is what can, in turn, make them feel as though their world is ending because a tiny detail was altered. This information is what leads to the theory of weak central coherence, a theory that has undergone extensive research by many psychologists, primarily by Uta Frith and Francesca Happe. This theory helps explain why an individual on the spectrum focuses on small details rather than the full picture. IF the individual s central coherence is strong, then s/he can see the big picture or catch to general gist. Those with weak central coherence focus on the details rather than the big picture to gather meaning. This theory offers an explanation of why a child with autismfocuses on the details and gets overwhelmed if their schedule is changed in the slightest way. This also begins to account for the behavioral impairments that are associated with autism spectrum disorders by explaining why the individuals are so particular about how they interact with the world around them. Moving forward, there are some important key terms to be familiar with. The first is central coherence. As previously stated, central coherence is gathering ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This is the most common way to establish trust in the collaborative economy. A complaint of these reputation systems is the accuracy of reviews given and the tendency to only provide extremely satisfied or extremely unsatisfied reviews. Some platforms are aware of this and incorporate mechanisms to encourage accurate, average reviews. For example, Airbnb added a feature in 2014 to reveal host and guest reviews simultaneously to make both parties feel comfortable in leaving honest reviews without the worry of a dishonest retaliatory review. The ATB gig site will not only reveal reviews simultaneously, it will have a template for constructive feedback. The template will ask for a rating and/or review of specific behaviours, such as adhering to the terms of the agreement. Both parties, in advance of the gig, will negotiate the agreement to facilitate clear communication and expectations. We obviously don t know every detail in the case but it s assumed that the presidents did not want to help with the integration. If anything they were working against the grain doing spiteful things that slowed down Vince s movement. Its unknown what type of relationship Vince had with the division presidents from the beginning, but it appears as if the divisional presidents felt as if they had not reason to know him or have a relationship with him. With constant tension between the presidents and Vince he could not get them on board to fix the business. Vince was told to do whatever it takes by Roman the founder and he did so. Vince gave everyone plenty of opportunities, and plenty of time until he saw the presidents as a liability rather then an asset. The main problem on why Vince could not get the divisional president on board was because personally they had no reason. Their pay was not based on company performance, and the integration would just make more work for them. Vince should have devised an incentive program. Although they may not have deserved it, or they needed any more money, it would have been worth it to Vince. • 43. The Term Minority Group Essay The term minority group refers to a subordinate group whose members have significantly less control or power over their lives than members of a dominant or majority group. Edmund Burke states In a democracy, the majority of the citizens is capable of exercising the cruelest oppressions upon the minority . These simple words sum up the conflicts of every minority groupthroughout our time. A minority group shares a common set of social practices which are recognized from within the group and by others outside the group. Sociologyis a social science involving the study of social lives of people, groups and societies. It studies our behavior as social beings, and covers everything from the analysis of short contacts between individuals, including history, psychology and economics. Sociology is rooted from the writings of Auguste Comte a French philosopher who was best known for his support of positivism . Comte created a unified philosophy about human behavior to limit human suffering. One example of sociological method and theory is W.E.B Du Bois and Philadelphia s Negro Problems who used demographic data and personal interviews to show that the black community was perceived as a source of crime and poverty due to the policies of society. Data collected through sociology consists of two methods quantitative which often collects data through surveys and questionnaires. The second method is qualitative which encompasses personal interviews and ethnographic data collected ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Behind all of that external awe is the working, ever changing and progressive movement for being better than the rest. However, like any work in progress, there are bound to be problems that need solving in order to maintain that thriving entitlement. The Ritz Carltonfaced a couple of problems including its seven day countdown training program and the change in its working processes. With the opening of a new hotel, providing the best service is daunting when expectations are high on top of expecting a high occupancy. That said, the program should be altered which would require a new design and brand however implementing a longer training time would ensure proper training. Statement of the Problem The manager, Mr. James McBride deals with the problem of facing a difficult decision regarding its usual operating procedures in the process of opening a new hotel. Brian Collins from Millennium Hospitality Group is concerned that seven days is not enough time to properly train the new Ritz Carlton stuff in order to open the hotel with a higher occupancy rate of 80%. After the Bible, it was the most read book for centuries. Bunyan wrote it based on his largely Baptist, often Calvinist theology. This is evident in Pilgrim s Progress through the name choices of the main characters and his conversation with Ignorance regarding reaching the Celestial City. The major points which are total depravity, unconditional election, limited atonement, irresistible grace, and perseverance of saints. Christian tries to correct him and explain that there is only one way to the Celestial City, and his deeds do not matter. Due to the doctrines of Predestination and Total Depravity, Christian is correct under Calvinism. Since Ignorance is inherently a sinner, and not elect, he is unable to accept God s grace and enter the Celestial City by means of his own path according to the concept of Total Depravity. However, one way that Pilgrim s Progress contradicts Calvinist theory is when Christian is reading his bible at the very beginning and confesses to his family that he is worried for their safety because fire from Heaven will soon obliterate the city that they live in and he doesn t know how to save them. This is contradictory to Calvinism because Christian should inherently know that he cannot. Since God has preordained everything that will ever happen, Christian cannot save his family unless that was already been in God s plan. Pilgrim s Progress largely exemplifies Calvinist ideology throughout the text with each new character that Christian meats. Bunyan made his viewpoint very clear every everyone of his literary decisions from what the characters shall be named to how they go about their journeys. Although there are a few nuances that seem less than Calvinistic, such as Christian s worries at the beginning, for the most part it stats true to the Calvin course. 2) ...
