1. REAL-TIME TRAFFIC MONITORING:
 Implement smart sensors and
cameras for real-time traffic
monitoring at Liberty.
 Utilize AI algorithms to
analyse and predict traffic
patterns.
Vehicle Count, Traffic Density
Determination along with Emergency
Vehicle Detection- An algorithm has
been developed which has been
trained for detection of vehicles and
emergency vehicles using the
EfficientDet-Lite 0 model. Figure 1 Using TensorFlow lite, optimize for
speed and storage. Help in detection of non-
emergency and emergency vehicles as
trained according to custom dataset.
2. DYNAMIC LANE MANAGEMENT:
Introduce dynamic lane
management at Liberty
to adapt to changing
traffic volumes.
Implement variable
lane assignments
based on real-time
traffic demand.
TIDAL FLOW SYSTEM
Dynamic management of lanes for one direction on road
sections.
Lane clearance ahead of road-
works sites:
Variable message signs (VMS) or dynamic
prisms are used here to protect work teams on
the roads/ motorways.
3. TRAFFIC GUIDANCE SYSTEMS:
Install dynamic electronic
signs at Liberty to guide
drivers with real-time
information.
Utilize variable message
signs to suggest
alternative routes during
congestion.
• The Led information display
board are used extensively
where optimising the flow of
vehicles or pedestrians is of
strategic importance
4. PUBLIC COMMUNICATION:
Establish a communication
system at Liberty to inform
the public about current
traffic conditions.
Utilize mobile apps and
social media to
disseminate real-time
updates.
• For Example, this
application Tells the
user where traffic is so
that vehicles change
lane before entering
CONCLUSION:
The proposed strategies offer a comprehensive solution to
optimize traffic flow, reduce delays, and enhance overall
efficiency. The potential effectiveness of these strategies make
them a convincing investment for the improvement of urban
traffic systems.
