Software Quality And Customer Satisfaction
Software quality comprises of two levels, which are intrinsic product quality and customer
satisfaction. Intrinsic product quality can be measured by number of bugs or defects occurring during
the software development phases or by how long the software can operate without crashing or error
occurring. Customer satisfaction will be achieved if all the software functions or requirements listed in
product log are met. Therefore, Software produced will be at its highest quality if software s features
and functionality meet all the business objects, and codes written are relatively bugs free.
Software quality control (SQL), which is a set of activities, encourages ensuring the highest quality in
software products. It contains activities relating to reviews such as requirement review, design review,
code review and also activities relating to testing such as unit testing, integration testing, system
testing and acceptance testing. Main purpose of SQL is to ensure that the developing software meet all
the specifications. At this stage, our group had reviewed software requirements and making sure to
achieve all by the time of software development sprint end. Other reviews such as design, codes are
going to be well analyzed in later sprint and all the testing types are going to be executed in order to
ensure that all the solutions are well tested. Software testing will be done during every development
processes in order to assess features and quality of the software. Different

Witch Trials Dbq Essay
The events that took place leading up to and causing the witch trials were Bacon s Rebellion, the Little
Ice Age, and Stano s Rebellion. Bacon s Rebellion was when two leaders were stubborn and both
wanted to be in charge. Sterno s rebellion was when A huge group of slaves rose up against the whites.
In the Little Ice Age there was snow and cold weather that did not leave it was known as the year
without a summer due to the colder climate. Well into the spring time snow covered the ground. A lot
of people had to move because their crops were destroyed. The crops were not adapted to the climate

Ancient Ghana Essay
Introduction
The people of Ancient Ghana were known as Soninke. The Soninke were the subgroup of Mande
speaking ethnic group. Ancient Ghana was one of Africa s hot spots for trading. This trade growth lead
to them to be one of the greatest empires in Africa. Location plays a key point to why they were
extremely successful, they were placed south of the Saharan desert and northwest of the Niger River,
quite a humid area. Ancient Ghana were the middle man to some other trading countries. One of their
trades, gold, was discovered in the 9th Century and it came in vast quantities. After the discovery of
gold, Ancient Ghana expanded, King of Gold is what Ghana means. The items they traded were gold,

A benefit for paying taxes. The second tax, known as production tax, this tax applied to gold.
Every single piece of solid gold in Ancient Ghana was owned by the king. Gold dust though could be
used by the traders for trading. With the trading of gold dust, it would boost the demand for it and the
price would go up, the king believed. Although people traded in the cities, silent bartering also took
place. One merchant would leave example 1 pound of gold and another merchant would take that and
leave behind one pound of salt. A system of trade that surprisingly worked.
Reasons why Ancient Ghana

How Is Winston Churchill Successful
Winston Churchill was not always the successful man he is portrayed in the movies nowadays.
Although it seems like he is immune to failure, he has had some of the biggest blunders in history,
they are just not well known to the public. So, before we discuss the amazing success of Churchill, let
s talk about the failures that made him into the amazing Prime Minister he was. As described by
Bradley P. Tolppanen in his article, Churchill: rejoins the ranks: in 1915 16 Winston Churchill sought

The Plague of American Art
The Plague of American Art In 1965, the American art scene changed forever. When the National
Endowment for the Arts came into being, there was high hopes for a more egalitarian art world that
would spread wide ranging ideas between the coasts, but, in the art world post NEA founding, dark
clouds were forming. The NEA is no longer a sustainable avenue of preserving and producing
American art.. The arts have and will survive the test of time without the National Endowment for the
Arts. According to Katherine Boyle, Individuals have always been the backbone of arts funding
(Boyle). Before 1965, the upper echelons always supported the arts. For example, the Vanderbilts
supported many starving artists like Picasso. However, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

For those who say censorship is the issue at hand here, this is not censorship. This is the banning of
materials that project and ?visualize? not moral, but unlawful acts. ?A sexual torture movie, promoting
rape and other sexual crimes, is not protected by the First Amendment.? Although the NEA s tendency
to fund illegal pieces of art is disdainful, it also has a problem with reckless spending, a government
trademark. $1500 was granted to a poet who wrote the masterpiece that is lighght ( Ten ) This piece of
poetic genius consists of only one word, its title. The NEA has a problem with discretionary spending.
For what reason should a poet need $1500 to write a one word poem? If the private sector was at the
decision table for that grant, there is no way it would fly, so why should the government spend without
a care in the world? The NEA s decisions on budget allocations are deplorable and downright
sickening, but yet it has many more issues plaguing its vile existence. Of the problems the NEA, the
fact that they censor art is the most contradictory to their mission. The NEA has an obscenity clause
which allows the NEA to not fund artworks that are obscene. This gives the government the power to
say what is art and what is not. Justice Souter of the Supreme Court in NEA v. Finley said, The

What Is Web Proxies
This is my effort to share my experiment and notes about web proxies with you.
Simply defined, proxies/servers are the application (or dedicated server) that enables the indirect
connection between a client and a resource on a remote location. Initially, proxies were invented to
provide many functions such as server load balancer, fast delivery of contains to support a distributed
system but later more functionality such as encryption, traffic filtering, redirection, URL rewrite and
deep packet inspection was added.
Type of proxies

How to configure explicit proxy? o Direct configuration:
 One can manually set a browser s network setting for proxy by providing the Destination IP(DIP)
and Destination Port(DPort) and supported protocols.
 In this case all traffic is forwarded to the proxy; however, there is another way in where traffic is
forward to proxy based on requested URL. o Proxy Auto Configuration (PAC file) and its location in

A PAC file is a text file of functions and the URLs to reroute the traffic based on URLs. For example,

Algae Research Paper
One world environmental issue that we have to turn our attention to is poaching, specifically in Africa,
of animals such as elephants, zebras, lions, black rhinos, and mountain gorillas. Last year alone, over
35000 elephants were killed for their ivory tusks. Ivory is sold illegally for up to $1000 per pound, and
the tusks are often carved into jewelry, religious figurines, utensils, and other small trinkets. Around
2000 zebras remain in the wild, and these animals are sought after for their black and white striped
skins, which are often made into clothing or accessories. The surviving lion population is a mere 15%
of what it used to be, and that is because farmers keep killing them before the lions kill their livestock.
Lions are often hunted for fun too, most recently Cecil. The black rhino population is down 97.6%
since 1960, and these animals are killed for their valuable horns. The horns are believed to heal
various ailments, when in reality, the horns do not cure anything, it s all myth. Fewer than 900
mountain gorillas remain in the wild, and infant gorillas are often sold on the black market ... Show

Aaron Collins Creative Writing
Aaron Collins knew he had to go to sleep soon. He turned clockwise and leaned from his desk chair to
check the time again. On the nightstand to the right of his desk, his alarm clock was glowing a faint
neon blue and informed him it was 3:29. Suddenly, the last digit flickered and changed to zero. It was
pitch dark in his spacious room except for the light flooding from his school computer. Aaron sat back
in his chair and began typing again. He has been working on his essay about China s extensive
government and how it differs from our own for the past five hours. Thankfully, he remembered the

This may come as a shock to you but I need you to listen, ok? You have to listen. Do you understand?
Aaron nodded. Yes, of course .
The man shifted his sitting position closer to Aaron. He looked petrified.

Foreign Trade And Foreign Investment
The economy in China has always been inspiring to me, how this country made all of this civilization
and how this country used its economy to overcome the barriers which it faced by used lots of
methods. One of these method is the Exchange Rate Issue in general is the low value of your currency
to increase the investments and therefore, will increase the rate of employment. So, an important
determinant of foreign trade and foreign investment is the exchange rate. A low value of Chinese
RMB makes Chinese exports cheaper and investment in China more attractive if the investment is to
produce for export. Many countries in the world including those in the European Union, Japan and
Taiwan, have adopted the flexible exchange rate system while China adopted a fixed exchange rate up
to July 2005 but the government did change the fixed rate several times in the 1980s and early 1990s
relative to the US dollar as its government deemed appropriate. Most recently the Chinese government
has adopted a managed floating rate with the government deciding the rate around a small band daily
relative to the value of a basket of foreign currencies but the basket is not explicitly specified. There
are pros and cons of the fixed and the floating exchange rate systems. (See the Appendix for a more
detailed discussion.) A fixed exchange provides an anchor for the government in the conduct of its
monetary and fiscal policy. It limits the discretionary power of the government in the exercise of its

President Woodrow Wilson s Declaration Of The War
On August 4, 1914, President Woodrow Wilson delivered his proclamation declaring the U.S. an
uninvolved neutral country in regard to WWI. The Great War, the war to end all wars was wreaking
havoc all across Europe, but the American public desired to stay neutral. Reasons for neutrality
included fear of losing loved ones, socialism because the war was believed to be to be a capitalist
venture to protect imperialism, the rise of pacifists who believed war was wrong for any reason, and
naturalized citizens afraid they would be forced to kill those from their old county on the battlefield.
But by April 2, 1917 the country had chosen to enter the war for various reasons that were moral,
economic and political. The U.S. was strongly justified in to enter the war for moral reasons,
substantially justified economically, but weakly politically justified. Although the U.S. originally felt
they should not enter the war for moral reasons, ultimately moral reasons for entering the war were
firmly justified. At first neutrality seemed like the most effective way to keep peace for the American
people. Some American citizens lived abroad in the war zone areas, carrying on trade and business.
According to Wilson, it was the duty of a neutral government not to permit or suffer the making of its
water subservient to the purposes of war (Doc 1). Wilson hoped life for the Americans would remain
peaceful during

Counselor s Assessment
In the lives of counselor s assessment plays a great role. Assessments are what shows the counselor
what it is that their client is in need of help in. Like our book states, assessment is a complex, problem
solving process that allows us to collect information in order to better serve our client (Drummond,
Sheperis, Jones, 2016). I was not aware of how involved counselors are in the testing process until I
began this class. I now see that assessments also helps the client understand their own problems as
well, it is just up to us to help them interpret the assessment. When using various assessments in
counseling, we have to be aware of our clientele and culture we are working in. As counselors, we are
to be conscious of controversies in assessments such as privacy invasions, bias test, and even the
pressure of the assessment of the children. We are there to help alleviate and to insure these problems
do not come to rise. Statistics in assessment is important because it enables us to keep track of how
well or below average a student or group of students are doing. Statistics is the number report that we
are able to visually see. Culturally, we would need to be aware of the customs, traditions, and values.
We need to be mindful of each student or client s uniqueness and be sure we are equipped with the
knowledge to help them through the assessment. Through the code of ethics and the legal issues we
are able to follow certain standards to prevent insulting or malpractice.

Introduction:
Vertical Integration is the process in which several steps in the production and/or distribution of a
product or service are controlled by a single company or entity, in order to increase that company s or
entity s power in the market place. Vertical expansion is also known as a vertical acquisition.
Nineteenth century steel tycoon Andrew Carnegie s example in the use of vertical integration led
others to use the system to promote financial growth and efficiency in their businesses.
Vertical integration can be a highly important strategy, but it is notoriously difficult to implement
successfully and when it turns out to be the wrong strategy costly to fix.
1.1 Breaking down Vertical Integration:
Backward and forward integration are types of vertical integration. A company that expands backward
on the production path has backward integration, while a company that expands forward on the
production path is forward integrated.
Examples of vertical integration include:
A private company that both originates and services mortgages, meaning that it both lends money to
homebuyers and collects their monthly payments.
A solar power company that produces photovoltaic products and also manufacturers the

Creating A Legal Taxonomy Of Privacy
Differentiating Meanings of Privacy Invasion of privacy did not exist as a separate tort prior to the
20th century. In 1960, William Prosser described how privacy came to be established in tort law and
how many distinct torts fit within it, including torts for intrusion, public disclosure of private facts,
and placing a person in a false light. Daniel Solove builds off of Prosser s work, constructing a legal
taxonomy of privacy focused on information collection, information processing, information
dissemination, and intrusion. As this thesis aims to gain insight into how privacy has evolved
conceptually within the American court system, and particularly the Supreme Court, I aim to identify
conceptual divisions of privacy in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This ruling stands in stark contrast to the Court s decision in 1914 in Weeks v. United States, which is
largely considered a landmark case as the Court s unanimous decision resulted in the establishment of
the exclusionary rule prohibiting the submission of evidence to court which was obtained illegally (i.e.
in violation of the Fourth Amendment by being unreasonably seized without a warrant). In his dissent
in Olmstead, Brandeis made an eloquent argument that the Fourth Amendment remains applicable in
the case, as individuals should have a reasonable expectation of privacy in their conversations (which,
in this instance, had been wiretapped by law enforcement officials targeting bootleggers violating the
National Prohibition Act). Brandeis wrote: The makers of our Constitution undertook to secure
conditions favorable to the pursuit of happiness. They recognized the significance of man s spiritual
nature, of his feelings and of his intellect. They knew that only a part of the pain, pleasure, and
satisfactions of life are to be found in material things. They sought to protect Americans in their
beliefs, their thoughts, their emotions and their sensations. They conferred, as against the government,
the right to be let alone the most comprehensive of rights and the right most valued by civilized men.

Article Report On The Law And Safety Codes Essay
Article Summary
I selected the article Duty to Warn and Protect: Not in Texas for review, as it applies to the state in
which I reside. The article cites Texas Health and Safety Codes, based on a 1999 Texas Supreme Court
ruling that states counselors do not have a duty to warn or protect. Having a duty to warn and protect
is defined as protecting clients or others from perceived harm (Jackson Cherry Erford, 2014). An
example would be that a client tells their counselor in a confidential session that he is considering
stabbing his ex girlfriend. The duty to warn would mean the counselor should notify authorities and
the ex girlfriend thus breaking confidentiality. The duty to protect would be to admit client to a facility
for the client to be assessed for a propensity for violence towards the ex girlfriend. This became
important after a 1969 incident where a counselor, had a client expressed harm towards a girl and the
counselor contacted the authorities, yet never contacted the girl, who was subsequently killed by the
client a few months later, known as the Tarasoff v. Regents of the University of California case
(Jackson Cherry Erford, 2014).
The article Duty to Warn and Protect: Not in Texas cites the 1999 Texas Supreme court decision in the
case Thapar v. Zezulka; which stated that counselors do not have a duty to warn and protect because it
breaks client/counselor confidentiality (Barbee, Combs, Ekleberry, Villalobos, 2007). As a result of
the 1999 ruling the

Artificial Intelligence Is The Dominant Theory
Artificial intelligence is intelligence exhibited by machines or software. Artificial intelligence also
studies how people create computers that are capable or preforming an intelligent behavior, like a
human (Business Dictionary). To back up artificial intelligence, there is functionalism. Hilary Putman
developed functionalism in the 1970 s, which is still the dominant theory in todays society.
Functionalism states that having a mind does not require a brain and mental states can be realized by
other kinds of substances. Mental states are also defined by their functions. In other words,
functionalism is where ones causes and effects define the views of their mental states. An example can
be defined as being in pain, which can cause ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dualism is just a substance and it stated that the mind is made up of other things rather than just
atoms. Where materialism states the opposite. It showed that there were no such things as immaterial
substances, which meant there were no souls. Materialism was the simpler theory because there was
no mystery and it assumed the least. For that, Ockham s razor denied the objection to the mind body
dualism because it assumed too much. Along with that, materialism was able to prove that without
having a soul, computers can still be intelligent like a human.
Functionalism was an influence that made people believe in the possibility that machines can be
intelligent. It also identifies mental states by what they do rather than what they are made of and there
in that statement, the mind body dualism is denied by functionalism. Perhaps mental states are more a
matter of software, like running a program on your computer (Rosen et al., 355). It is denied not only
because there is not enough information to back it up, but because functionalism says that beliefs,
desires and emotions fit into the larger system since those types of mental states must be realized by
something else other than by what it already is.
Like anything else in philosophy, there are always objections to someone s theory. An objection or the

War Is A Human Endeavor
War is a human endeavor. Humanity continually pursues solutions to counter evolving threats with the
end of preserving power while also enabling peace. Civilizations resort to war to maintain their
perception of this equilibrium. Defined threats and adversaries have changed throughout history,
however, the essence of human nature and the base concept of conflict itself have not. Carl von
Clausewitz s theories on warfare capture the relationship between humanity and its application of war,
remaining relevant in today s era through their pensive explanations of timeless philosophical
principles regarding the concept of war. These theories regarding war in politics, the key factors
affecting war, and the extent that war is applied are inherently interconnected, providing insight on the
relationships between humanity and its application of war.
One of Clausewitz s most prevalent theories is that war is an instrument of politics, or as stated in his
work On War, When whole communities go to war...the reason lies in some political situation, and the
occasion is always due to some political object. War, therefore, is an act of politics. War in itself as
defined by Oxford dictionary is a state of armed conflict between different nations or states or
different groups within a nation or state. Furthermore, politics is defined by Oxford as the activities
associated with the governance of a country or area, especially the debate between parties having
power. The 1648 Treaty

I am going to presume that if you are reading this article on Jane s website, you have COPD [or other

diagnosed with COPD, but have never had spirometry done. That is like diagnosing a patient with
diabetes without ever testing their blood sugar level. Spirometry is done using a piece of equipment
called a spirometer. The term spiro comes from the Latin language and means to breathe, and meter
(derived from either Old English, French or Greek...take your pick) means to measure. The spirometer
is not a new invention. In 1846 an Englishman named John ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

grossly inflated the number of Arabs living in Judea and Samaria. The strategic inflation of population
is comparable to the PA Ministry of Health that had strategically inflated causality rates in the past

Ai Weiweei Research Paper
The way art can be activism is to spread messages through art to promote change or awareness. Artist
can does this in many ways such as painting or drawing political art to express their opinion. Other
artist can do performance art or take photographs to spread awareness or send a message. Ai WeiWei
is a chinese artist and activist that created many controversial pieces of art towards the chinese
government. His activism started when he saw how the chinese government handled the devastating
earthquake in 2008. On may 12 2008 a 8.0 earthquake hit Chengdu, in China.Over 69,000 people lost
their lives in the quake, including 68,636 in Sichuan province. 374,176 were reported injured, with
18,222 listed as missing as of July 2008.The earthquake left about 4.8 million people homeless. Many

Other forms of art or actions that could be perceived as art created by Ai WeiWei to express activism
against the chinese government would be many photographs of him flipping off chinese government
monuments and buildings this is all his forms of art to express himself and spread a message. One big
project was creating a moral out of backpacks in memory of a 7 year old girl who dies in the
earthquake this is an example of art being used to remember a life and many other lives lost. A very
controversial work of art he did was write coca cola on a sacred political chinese vase and posted a
video of him breaking it this is to highlight how people dwell on destroying a vase and consider it
wrong or immoral to china but its to show how the same kind of destruction happens everyday without
people really thinking about. Another motivation for doing this by Ai WeiWei was to express how the
past should be destroyed and quoted a slogan saying we can destroy the old world but we can also

The Problem Of Desertification
ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE CONCERNS Desertification is an environmental and socio economic
problem. Environmental justice is characterized by the equal sharing of risks and benefits, distributed
equally without discrimination. The land affected falls in rural areas beyond the mainland which are
primarily occupied by non Han ethnic minorities. These areas include the autonomous regions of Inner
Mongolia, Xinjiang, and Tibet, which have historically been oppressed. The social component of the
problem creates a cycle in which poverty exacerbates desertification, and in turn, desertification
aggravates poverty. The cycle will continue until the wellbeing of people living in desertified areas is
considerably improved to the point where they no longer rely on degraded land for survival. Only then
will they be able to limit their impact on desertified land. Chen and Tang further explain For degraded
land, withdrawal of farmlands and enclosing pastures in order to exclude grazing are undoubtedly the
most effective ways to prevent further desertification. These measures would deprive local people of
their sole livelihood. Attempts to reduce desertification have neglected the human component of the
problem. As a solution, Wang et al. suggest that outward migration with a carefully considered
relocation policy is an important choice for desertified areas that are judged to be beyond ecological
carrying capacity. Miao et al. echo this idea, explaining that reclamation efforts

Examining how Brutus and Mark Anthony Utilise Language to Manipulate the Audience in Act 3
Scene 2 of Julius Caesar
This essay will scrutinize and analyse two speeches from Julius Caesar; firstly Brutus s funeral oration
and Mark Anthony s response in Act 3 Scene 2. Brutus as a conspirator against Caesar addresses the
audience to justify himself along with his other conspirator s actions whilst Mark Anthony speaks in
Caesar s defence and Brutus prosecution. This essay will explore how each character uses rhetorical
devices to appeal to the audience.
Brutus uses rhetorical questions throughout his oration to the plebeians in Act 3 Scene 2. He uses this
in order to create a sense of support for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By purposely not using murdered in place of slain, he creates an effect on the audience to believe that
the killing of Caesar wasn t brutal and that it was for a good cause. The audience cherish Rome, so
Brutus clarifies that Rome is more important than Caesar. Brutus persuades the audience by speaking
for the good of Rome. His repetition of the personal pronoun of I shows that he is once again
distancing himself from the blame. Brutus uses this third person narrative of himself effectively in
order to convince the crowd that even if he wasn t Brutus, the loyal and trustworthy friend of Caesar,
he would of still murdered Caesar. His announcement of that he will slay himself in order to please
Rome, reinforces his love for Rome and this creates and effect on the people to show that he is still a
noble roman.
Throughout Brutus funeral oration the audience and the reader notice a structure and logic of themes.
The structure has assisted his oration to manipulate the audience in to believing his defence and ideas.
For instance Here comes his body mourned by Mark Anthony: who though he had no hand in his
death, shall receive the benefit of his dying, a place in the commonwealth . Here Brutus is suggesting
that the murder of Caesar has resulted beneficial for those who have no role in the murder. Moreover,
Brutus provides a logical justification for his and

Hannibal Steakhouse Analysis
Bordeaux is an elegant restaurant in Brooklyn. They opened only a few years ago, yet already business
seems to be booming. It doesn t marvel me they have customers come again. They have superlative
food, wonderful service and a party section. Bordeaux has inexpensive food for a steakhouse at
approximately thirty sixty dollars a person, especially since their food continues to be exceptional, it
could go for a higher price. I ordered a medium rare ten ounce prime chateau cut. I enjoyed it
immensely, the steak was flavored the way I wished, and I wish I could enjoy another bite pronto.

Bear Hunting in New Jersey
Bear Hunting in New Jersey
The head of the New Jersey Environmental Protection Agency has resumed the black bear hunts that
had been paused for five years due to over hunting. In this time, the population of black bears has
risen once again to a safe level for hunting, and the republican controlled government has allowed
hunters to resume their hunting. Some wildlife activists see the hunts as unnecessary and cruel, and
wish to defend the bears. This belief is opposed by the hunting organizations that have pointed to a
long history of hunting, as well as the potential danger that black bears present, as points that may
hinder their cause. I am on the side of the hunters, as I think that the government s job is to make sure
both the bears are protected and the hunters are happy, and therefore a happy medium must be
reached. Too many black bears can be dangerous for the residents of New Jersey. (Nuwer, 2011) They
are migrating animals, and often enter into human neighborhoods in search of food often found in
people s waste bins. This has led the NRA and other hunting groups to petition the state government
on the issue of bear hunting for safety. Activist groups believe that taking better precautions to secure
garbage around the state of New Jersey would keep the bears away from human areas, and that there
are other ways to curb population growth besides hunting bears. These wildlife activists also point out
that bears are usually passive, and unless threatened, are less

many different events were happening to contribute to America s situation of nationalism and
sectionalism. One example of nationalism is the war of 1812. This war showed nationalism because
they went against great britain the greatest naval power in the world, at the time, and won. So it gained

The Robots Rebellion By Keith E. Stanovich
Consciousness a term explained as being aware of all surroundings, emerging from the functions of
the brain. When a person gets used to something they may be able to think of other things at the same
time, until a change happens, then they regain their consciousness to what they were doing. This essay
is to further explore the target which is the slides from lecture 17 consciousness using the slides
Meanings and automatization by using examples from the book The Robots Rebellion by Keith E.
Stanovich, which is the base to further explain and expand on these points. Consciousness can be
linked to multiple things, such as how we do things, why we do things and anything that is related to
being aware or awake. When a person is conscious of their behaviour, actions and abilities, they are
then capable of accomplishing anything without any difficulties. When genes are produced and
replicated the human body is then aware of what to do, causing the brain to become stronger. In the
book it mentions how we are aware of the idea that we are the vehicles and our genes are the
replicators. Genes are seen as the most powerful but as the brain becomes more highly developed it
takes over more policy decisions, using learning and simulation to overrule. Therefore showing that
when a human is conscious of the power of genes they are able to take over that task. Being aware of
something or getting used to it both allow an individual to be able to achieve anything and become

The attributes of the various kinds of metal roofing are impressive. Most of them are long lasting,

Add the fact that this is available to the consumer in various styles and colors which can easily

The person responsible for the roofing, the contractor, arrives at the site with the equipment which he
uses to construct the standing seam metal. This is a spool of gauge sheet metal which is formed and
later on cut according to the length that fits the roof it will be installed in. This metalworking and
portable tool is called brake.
Every section within the standing seam metal roof is formed to meet the length the home owner s or
the home builder s preference. This reduces the job site waste. Besides, it is more practical to be
equipped with the panels that will be used instead of throwing away the panels that were cut in the
wrong length. The brake is also used to shape each panel and is designed in order to form the panels in
an interlocking manner.
Care In Installation
When doing this manually, the person must be really careful, especially when it comes to where he
places his fingers. There is a sharp tooth shear hydraulic that cuts every panel in accordance with the
desired length. Hand trimming is required after the panel has been formed and later on cut to the
desired length. After the trimming, the roofer will be ready to install this in the standing seam metal
roof shilling within a matter of minutes.
In order to make a water tight seal, there are roof elements that are installed in the material such as the
roof valley (here the two sections coincide at a specific angle) and the ridge cap

Who are the participants in the budgeting process, and how do they participate?
First the management must choose a period of time for which the budget will be used; the most
convenient period is of one year. A period can also be of one month in which it is easier to compare
the real expenses against the planned expenses. A committee of budgeting formed by several members
of the organization executives watch the process of the preparation of the budgeting. This committee
sets the rules by which the budgeting must be done and coordinates the budgets that separately are
prepared by the different units in the organization, and solves conflicts that may arise to later present
the final budgeting plan to the general director and the consul. Instructions must be delivered by the
ordinary chain of command. Decisions over the budgeting must be done by the line of command, and
the final planning by the general director, while the staff can only give advises, but cannot decide. The
person who decides is the budgeting director. His main functions are to inform the mechanism of the
budgeting preparation through computers and telecommunications, to give the macroeconomics
information, make the necessary calculations, gather the numbers for the budget, and watch that each
part of the company gives their proposals on time. Once the period of time is established, the

Twenty four year old Daniel Zamudio was walking through a park in Santiago, Chile, when four men
appeared and began to burn Daniel with cigarettes and beat him with rocks and glass bottles, injuring
him in various ways (Saul). The men used the broken glass to cut off a part of his ear, as well as, cut

queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, ally, and pansexual (LGBT+) community, such as the Orlando

people have made outstanding progress on their goal to reach equality. For example, same sex couples

Although the LGBT community has civil rights that should be protected, due to society s narrow

Anton Chekhov Contributions
Why, doctor what an insightful play you ve written. I bet your exploration of human situations will
last through the ages. This is not something people would normally say to their family physician. That
is because most physicians are trained to be logical concise thinkers who do not have room for any
unnecessary thoughts, which leaves them without much room for artistic expression. Now, if Anton
Chekhov was your doctor then there could be a possibility for some discussion about The Cherry
Orchard, The Sea Gull, or The Three Sisters while he was giving you your yearly physical. That s
because Chekhov was one of the most influential playwrights of his time and our time as well.
Chekhov was many things such as a physician, a master of the short story, and he had a small but
profound career in writing plays. Anton Chekhov lived an interesting life, which influenced his future

Falklands War As soon as the war ended people wondered why Britain had won and why Argentina
had lost. The conclusion made by the Americans is that it was that shifts in tactics, or weather may
have changed the result of the war, but it would seem that Britain s training and leadership did decide
the outcome. It is clear that the 25,000 men of the task force that sailed from Portsmouth in April 1982
were one of the most experianced, and certainly best trained forces that Britain had ever sent to war.

The first option was possible for the Argentines, and as the task force closed into the firing zone it
appeared as if the Argentine Navy was moving against them with Exocet firing frigates. The loss of
the General Belgrano effectively eliminated this threat, and the frigates were withdrawn and never
closed again. This left two options, to sink the carriers, submarines or the Exocet. Both of which had
been attempted previously. The Argentines had four submarines at the outbreak of the war but had lost
one when South Georgia was recaptured in April. The remaining subs faced having to get close
enough to within torpedo range of a fleet, whose objective was anti submarine, and had the best
training and weapons to defend against this type of threat. Still, the Argentine submarines did sail and
apparently launched torpedoes, although they did no harm to the British aircraft carriers. The
Argentine submarine threat, although providing a constant problem to British generals, were destined
to remain only a cause of thought to Admiral Woodward. The launching of an exocet was attempted

Through Iago s similarity to Machiavellian tactics, Iago is known as the master of deceptions in

Exploits the duplicitous nature of Iago in allusion to Janus, the roman god of two faces where Iago

duplicitous in order to act in return for a greater gain. The gardening analogy, We will plant nettles...

The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner By Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Samuel Taylor Coleridge was born in Ottery St. Mary in England and was the last of 10 children. His
father died when he was 9 years old and at that time he was already into fantasy books. He later went
to school in in London and went to Cambridge University. Later in his life he made some
breakthroughs that caused a revolution in poetic style and thoughts. Towards the end of his life he was
troubled with some illnesses but is known for being the poet who established the importance of
imagination in literature. In the poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner written by Samuel Taylor
Coleridge, there is an old man who tell a story that tells me 3 messages.
The first message from The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Coleridge is that we have to protect the
innocents from being killed. In the poem they should have protected the albatross from being killed
because the albatross was an innocent bird that some thought was lucky and a sign of good luck. He
prayeth well, who loveth well Both man and bird and beast (lines 612 613) this is saying that animals
are always innocent. Out there are some people who are innocent to and it would be bad if we didn t
protect them because I think some of them would die. We have to keep those innocent people and
animals safe. The old man in this story was kind of cursed from shooting that bird and now has to tell
his story to younger people so they can learn from his mistakes.

The Ilusory Nature Of Romantic Poetry
The idea that poetry, or even consciousness, can set one free of the ruins of history and culture is the
grand illusion of every Romantic poet (Jerome McGann). Would you agree with McGann s
assessment of the illusory nature of Romantic poetry?
Wordsworth recognises in the Preface to the 1802 print of Lyrical Ballads that he and Coleridge,
viewed by many as the most influential pioneers of Romantic poetry, are guilty of imbuing a certain
colouring of imagination throughout their poetry. Indeed, Romantic poetry is often characterised by its
fascination with the imagination and the idea that the mind can create a world that transcends the

Of the problems the NEA, the fact that they censor art is the most contradictory to their mission. The NEA has an obscenity clause which allows the NEA to not fund artworks that are obscene. Algae Research Paper One world environmental issue that we have to turn our attention to is poaching, specifically in Africa, of animals such as elephants, zebras, lions, black rhinos, and mountain gorillas. Last year alone, over 35000 elephants were killed for their ivory tusks. Ivory is sold illegally for up to $1000 per pound, and the tusks are often carved into jewelry, religious figurines, utensils, and other small trinkets. Around 2000 zebras remain in the wild, and these animals are sought after for their black and white striped skins, which are often made into clothing or accessories. The surviving lion population is a mere 15% of what it used to be, and that is because farmers keep killing them before the lions kill their livestock. Lions are often hunted for fun too, most recently Cecil. The black rhino population is down 97.6% since 1960, and these animals are killed for their valuable horns. The horns are believed to heal various ailments, when in reality, the horns do not cure anything, it s all myth. Foreign Trade And Foreign Investment The economy in China has always been inspiring to me, how this country made all of this civilization and how this country used its economy to overcome the barriers which it faced by used lots of methods. One of these method is the Exchange Rate Issue in general is the low value of your currency to increase the investments and therefore, will increase the rate of employment. So, an important determinant of foreign trade and foreign investment is the exchange rate. A low value of Chinese RMB makes Chinese exports cheaper and investment in China more attractive if the investment is to produce for export. Many countries in the world including those in the European Union, Japan and Taiwan, have adopted the flexible exchange rate system while China adopted a fixed exchange rate up to July 2005 but the government did change the fixed rate several times in the 1980s and early 1990s relative to the US dollar as its government deemed appropriate. Most recently the Chinese government has adopted a managed floating rate with the government deciding the rate around a small band daily relative to the value of a basket of foreign currencies but the basket is not explicitly specified. There are pros and cons of the fixed and the floating exchange rate systems. (See the Appendix for a more detailed discussion.) The Great War, the war to end all wars was wreaking havoc all across Europe, but the American public desired to stay neutral. Reasons for neutrality included fear of losing loved ones, socialism because the war was believed to be to be a capitalist venture to protect imperialism, the rise of pacifists who believed war was wrong for any reason, and naturalized citizens afraid they would be forced to kill those from their old county on the battlefield. But by April 2, 1917 the country had chosen to enter the war for various reasons that were moral, economic and political. The U.S. was strongly justified in to enter the war for moral reasons, substantially justified economically, but weakly politically justified. Although the U.S. originally felt they should not enter the war for moral reasons, ultimately moral reasons for entering the war were firmly justified. At first neutrality seemed like the most effective way to keep peace for the American people. Some American citizens lived abroad in the war zone areas, carrying on trade and business. According to Wilson, it was the duty of a neutral government not to permit or suffer the making of its water subservient to the purposes of war (Doc 1). Like our book states, assessment is a complex, problem solving process that allows us to collect information in order to better serve our client (Drummond, Sheperis, Jones, 2016). I was not aware of how involved counselors are in the testing process until I began this class. I now see that assessments also helps the client understand their own problems as well, it is just up to us to help them interpret the assessment. When using various assessments in counseling, we have to be aware of our clientele and culture we are working in. As counselors, we are to be conscious of controversies in assessments such as privacy invasions, bias test, and even the pressure of the assessment of the children. We are there to help alleviate and to insure these problems do not come to rise. Statistics in assessment is important because it enables us to keep track of how well or below average a student or group of students are doing. Statistics is the number report that we are able to visually see. Culturally, we would need to be aware of the customs, traditions, and values. We need to be mindful of each student or client s uniqueness and be sure we are equipped with the knowledge to help them through the assessment. Introduction: Vertical Integration is the process in which several steps in the production and/or distribution of a product or service are controlled by a single company or entity, in order to increase that company s or entity s power in the market place. Vertical expansion is also known as a vertical acquisition. Nineteenth century steel tycoon Andrew Carnegie s example in the use of vertical integration led others to use the system to promote financial growth and efficiency in their businesses. Vertical integration can be a highly important strategy, but it is notoriously difficult to implement successfully and when it turns out to be the wrong strategy costly to fix. 1.1 Breaking down Vertical Integration: Backward and forward integration are types of vertical integration. A company that expands backward on the production path has backward integration, while a company that expands forward on the production path is forward integrated. Examples of vertical integration include: A private company that both originates and services mortgages, meaning that it both lends money to homebuyers and collects their monthly payments. • 18. Article Report On The Law And Safety Codes Essay Article Summary I selected the article Duty to Warn and Protect: Not in Texas for review, as it applies to the state in which I reside. The article cites Texas Health and Safety Codes, based on a 1999 Texas Supreme Court ruling that states counselors do not have a duty to warn or protect. Having a duty to warn and protect is defined as protecting clients or others from perceived harm (Jackson Cherry Erford, 2014). An example would be that a client tells their counselor in a confidential session that he is considering stabbing his ex girlfriend. The duty to warn would mean the counselor should notify authorities and the ex girlfriend thus breaking confidentiality. The duty to protect would be to admit client to a facility for the client to be assessed for a propensity for violence towards the ex girlfriend. This became important after a 1969 incident where a counselor, had a client expressed harm towards a girl and the counselor contacted the authorities, yet never contacted the girl, who was subsequently killed by the client a few months later, known as the Tarasoff v. Regents of the University of California case (Jackson Cherry Erford, 2014). The article Duty to Warn and Protect: Not in Texas cites the 1999 Texas Supreme court decision in the case Thapar v. Zezulka; which stated that counselors do not have a duty to warn and protect because it breaks client/counselor confidentiality (Barbee, Combs, Ekleberry, Villalobos, 2007). Artificial intelligence also studies how people create computers that are capable or preforming an intelligent behavior, like a human (Business Dictionary). To back up artificial intelligence, there is functionalism. Hilary Putman developed functionalism in the 1970 s, which is still the dominant theory in todays society. Functionalism states that having a mind does not require a brain and mental states can be realized by other kinds of substances. Mental states are also defined by their functions. For that, Ockham s razor denied the objection to the mind body dualism because it assumed too much. Along with that, materialism was able to prove that without having a soul, computers can still be intelligent like a human. Functionalism was an influence that made people believe in the possibility that machines can be intelligent. It also identifies mental states by what they do rather than what they are made of and there in that statement, the mind body dualism is denied by functionalism. Perhaps mental states are more a matter of software, like running a program on your computer (Rosen et al., 355). It is denied not only because there is not enough information to back it up, but because functionalism says that beliefs, desires and emotions fit into the larger system since those types of mental states must be realized by something else other than by what it already is. Civilizations resort to war to maintain their perception of this equilibrium. Defined threats and adversaries have changed throughout history, however, the essence of human nature and the base concept of conflict itself have not. Carl von Clausewitz s theories on warfare capture the relationship between humanity and its application of war, remaining relevant in today s era through their pensive explanations of timeless philosophical principles regarding the concept of war. These theories regarding war in politics, the key factors affecting war, and the extent that war is applied are inherently interconnected, providing insight on the relationships between humanity and its application of war. One of Clausewitz s most prevalent theories is that war is an instrument of politics, or as stated in his work On War, When whole communities go to war...the reason lies in some political situation, and the occasion is always due to some political object. • 24. The Problem Of Desertification ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE CONCERNS Desertification is an environmental and socio economic problem. Environmental justice is characterized by the equal sharing of risks and benefits, distributed equally without discrimination. The land affected falls in rural areas beyond the mainland which are primarily occupied by non Han ethnic minorities. These areas include the autonomous regions of Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, and Tibet, which have historically been oppressed. The social component of the problem creates a cycle in which poverty exacerbates desertification, and in turn, desertification aggravates poverty. The cycle will continue until the wellbeing of people living in desertified areas is considerably improved to the point where they no longer rely on degraded land for survival. Only then will they be able to limit their impact on desertified land. Chen and Tang further explain For degraded land, withdrawal of farmlands and enclosing pastures in order to exclude grazing are undoubtedly the most effective ways to prevent further desertification. These measures would deprive local people of their sole livelihood. Attempts to reduce desertification have neglected the human component of the problem. As a solution, Wang et al. suggest that outward migration with a carefully considered relocation policy is an important choice for desertified areas that are judged to be beyond ecological carrying capacity. • 29. Bear Hunting in New Jersey Bear Hunting in New Jersey The head of the New Jersey Environmental Protection Agency has resumed the black bear hunts that had been paused for five years due to over hunting. In this time, the population of black bears has risen once again to a safe level for hunting, and the republican controlled government has allowed hunters to resume their hunting. Some wildlife activists see the hunts as unnecessary and cruel, and wish to defend the bears. This belief is opposed by the hunting organizations that have pointed to a long history of hunting, as well as the potential danger that black bears present, as points that may hinder their cause. I am on the side of the hunters, as I think that the government s job is to make sure both the bears are protected and the hunters are happy, and therefore a happy medium must be reached. Too many black bears can be dangerous for the residents of New Jersey. (Nuwer, 2011) They are migrating animals, and often enter into human neighborhoods in search of food often found in people s waste bins. This has led the NRA and other hunting groups to petition the state government on the issue of bear hunting for safety. Activist groups believe that taking better precautions to secure garbage around the state of New Jersey would keep the bears away from human areas, and that there are other ways to curb population growth besides hunting bears. These wildlife activists also point out that bears are usually passive, and unless threatened, are less ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When a person gets used to something they may be able to think of other things at the same time, until a change happens, then they regain their consciousness to what they were doing. This essay is to further explore the target which is the slides from lecture 17 consciousness using the slides Meanings and automatization by using examples from the book The Robots Rebellion by Keith E. Stanovich, which is the base to further explain and expand on these points. Consciousness can be linked to multiple things, such as how we do things, why we do things and anything that is related to being aware or awake. When a person is conscious of their behaviour, actions and abilities, they are then capable of accomplishing anything without any difficulties. When genes are produced and replicated the human body is then aware of what to do, causing the brain to become stronger. In the book it mentions how we are aware of the idea that we are the vehicles and our genes are the replicators. Genes are seen as the most powerful but as the brain becomes more highly developed it takes over more policy decisions, using learning and simulation to overrule. Therefore showing that when a human is conscious of the power of genes they are able to take over that task. A period can also be of one month in which it is easier to compare the real expenses against the planned expenses. A committee of budgeting formed by several members of the organization executives watch the process of the preparation of the budgeting. The men used the broken glass to cut off a part of his ear, as well as, cut swastikas into his skin because Zumudio was gay (Saul). Less than a month later, Daniel Zamudio passed away due to this violent hate crime (Saul). Although only few instances of homophobic crimes are reported, FBI statistics show that attacks on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, ally, and pansexual (LGBT+) community, such as the Orlando gay nightclub shooting, are one of the common occurrences, right behind racial attacks (Saul). LGBT people have made outstanding progress on their goal to reach equality. For example, same sex couples now have the right to adopt children in all the states of America and thanks to President Obama, federal workers cannot be discriminated upon sexual orientation or gender identity (Clinton). Although the LGBT community has civil rights that should be protected, due to society s narrow mindedness, the LGBT+ community gets treated as second class citizens. The conclusion made by the Americans is that it was that shifts in tactics, or weather may have changed the result of the war, but it would seem that Britain s training and leadership did decide the outcome. It is clear that the 25,000 men of the task force that sailed from Portsmouth in April 1982 were one of the most experianced, and certainly best trained forces that Britain had ever sent to war. The loss of the General Belgrano effectively eliminated this threat, and the frigates were withdrawn and never closed again. This left two options, to sink the carriers, submarines or the Exocet. Both of which had been attempted previously. The Argentines had four submarines at the outbreak of the war but had lost one when South Georgia was recaptured in April. The remaining subs faced having to get close enough to within torpedo range of a fleet, whose objective was anti submarine, and had the best training and weapons to defend against this type of threat. Still, the Argentine submarines did sail and apparently launched torpedoes, although they did no harm to the British aircraft carriers. His father died when he was 9 years old and at that time he was already into fantasy books. He later went to school in in London and went to Cambridge University. Later in his life he made some breakthroughs that caused a revolution in poetic style and thoughts. Towards the end of his life he was troubled with some illnesses but is known for being the poet who established the importance of imagination in literature. In the poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner written by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, there is an old man who tell a story that tells me 3 messages. The first message from The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Coleridge is that we have to protect the innocents from being killed. In the poem they should have protected the albatross from being killed because the albatross was an innocent bird that some thought was lucky and a sign of good luck. He prayeth well, who loveth well Both man and bird and beast (lines 612 613) this is saying that animals are always innocent. Out there are some people who are innocent to and it would be bad if we didn t protect them because I think some of them would die. We have to keep those innocent people and animals safe. • 43. The Ilusory Nature Of Romantic Poetry The idea that poetry, or even consciousness, can set one free of the ruins of history and culture is the grand illusion of every Romantic poet (Jerome McGann). Would you agree with McGann s assessment of the illusory nature of Romantic poetry? Wordsworth recognises in the Preface to the 1802 print of Lyrical Ballads that he and Coleridge, viewed by many as the most influential pioneers of Romantic poetry, are guilty of imbuing a certain colouring of imagination throughout their poetry. Indeed, Romantic poetry is often characterised by its fascination with the imagination and the idea that the mind can create a world that transcends the physical senses. In light of this concept that a new and greater world can be forged through poetry, some credence can certainly be found in Jerome McGann s evaluation that the primary purpose of Romantic poetry is to set one free of the ruins of history and culture . However, McGann, in my opinion, also oversimplifies the nuances and implications found throughout Romantic poetry, and seems to dismiss it as somewhat escapist, or reliant on its displacement from reality to convey meaning; ultimately, as a grand illusion . Through examination of works by Wordsworth, Coleridge, Shelley, and Keats, I mean to propose, firstly, that Romantic poetry varies greatly throughout the period meaning it frequently defies generic summation. Secondly, that Romantic poets often directly confront their historical and social contexts, and in many ways, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
