My Job Shadow At West Liberty Middle School
I had my job shadow at West Liberty Middle School and I chose this school because I have been
there previously. I spent the whole day at this school and learned a lot throughout the day. I am a
family friend with the teacher who teaches seventh and eight grade English. Although I do not plan
to teach middle schoolI still enjoy and learn a lot going to this school, because there s a very diverse
group of students from my different backgrounds. I feel like shadowing this school is much more

former South African President Nelson Mandela. The book narrates how Mandela becomes a

Throughout the semester, evaluating different eras and event across the world and expanse of
time, we have studied how individual players and their actions contribute to our understanding of
history itself. Many of our readings were historical accounts centralized on the lives of single
players, and these players roles in greater historical events.
The outbreak and entirety of WWI, serves as an example of how many individual players, and
their actions, contributed to the overall outcome of an all out war. In class, we discussed how
there were a number of major players whom helped contribute to the outbreak and subsequent
events of WW1. One of the key actors we examined, was the Emperor to Russia at the time,
Nicholas II, and the qualities attributed to him as an individual. These are the qualities which may
have not only led to Russia s involvement in WWI, but also can be attributed to Russia s loss in
Russo Japanese War, further destabilization of Russia s central government under Nicholas II, and
ultimately the collapse of the Russian Monarchy, all culminating in the 1917 Russian Revolution.
Nicholas II was the first born child of Emperor Alexander III of Russia, and being so, his upbringing
was a rather quite and isolated, though he maintained a close relationship with both his father and

The USA needed more men for war and more people in the work force to cover jobs. Because of
the desperateness and proudness of citizens, not only did women benefit but also racial minorities,
homosexuals and the mentally ill benefited.
Women all around the USA were picking up their husbands wrenches and were going to work.
They had finally gotten the share of independence they longed for but, it wouldn t take long for
women to take another step towards ultimate civil freedom. In March of 1942, women were able
to step out of their dresses and jump into militant uniform. No longer did they need to become
nurses to be in war, but now they had the opportunity to become greater than men. Women took
jobs as WASP s , WAVES and WAC s . They trained male piolets, tested planes, free men of
combat roles and worked as volunteer emergency medics (Berkin, Miller, Cherny, Gormly, 2015).
If women did not get jobs or take lead, women may not have the same freedoms as of the 21st

The environment in which I was raised was very thrilling. My family and close friends have had
such an impact on my life and I ll always be so grateful for them. They are very encouraging and
always keep an open mind. I ve learned so much within my seventeen years of life. As I ve been

An indentured servant was, a majority of the time, poor citizens from England or male and female
convicts who needed to serve out their time. The job of the indentured was the same as a simple
housemaid or laborers. The men would take care of gardening, coachmen, butcher, ect. While
the women would simply do the laundry, sew, or any other simple housekeeping. The idea of
indentured servitude first came after young Englishmen needed a free way to the new world so
they could start anew. Indentured servitude first came to exist in the United States in 1620. This
system provided incentives for both the master and servant to increase the working population
of the new colonies formed in the New Word. This system seemed to benefit the servant as well.
Each indentured servant would have their fare across the Atlantic paid in full by their master. A
contract was written that ensure the length of service which was typically five years. The servant
would be supplied room and board while working in the master s fields. Upon completion of the
contract, the servant would receive freedom dues, a pre arranged termination bonus. This could
include land, money, a gun, clothes or food. On the surface it seemed like a terrific way for the
English men to make a great living just after 5 years of work, however, this was not often the case.

United States changed. The relationship between the Soviet Union and the United States was
directed by ideological, political and technological factors. The rivalry between the two powers
rooted from their contrasting ideological principles since the United States was a democratic
republic where the people believed that every citizen had equal representation in the government
and the Soviet Union was a communist nation. The US embodied the principles of a democratic
nation believing in the ideals of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness as well as having an economy
that was based on capitalism. In contrast to the ideology of the US, the Soviet Union fell under
communist rule during the Russian Revolution of 1917, which was based on the idea that all assets

cancer, Henrietta Lacks laid on the surgical bed. During this procedure Dr. Lawrence Wharton Jr.
shaved two pieces of tissue from her vagina, one from a healthy cervical tissue and one from the
