Psychodynamic Approaches And The Psychodynamic Approach
The purpose of understanding and utilizing a variety of psychodynamic approaches is for the humanistic well being, in
connection with the client using a client centered therapeutic approach. The reason for using a psychodynamic approach is
unveiling the conscious and unconscious mind, from the client s emotional state of mind. The psychodynamic approach
focuses on the beginning stages of the clients childhood years, typically analyzing events from birth breaking from six
years old. The human mind unconscious and conscious state determines who we are and how we will be from our past
carrying over to our present, and dictating our future. Henceforth, the effects of our state of mind come from past events in
our subconscious mind, which plays a major role in our adult life. As an illustration, Sigmund Fraud, a psychologist
theoretical ordained the importance of childhood events, which play a major part in our daily lives. The definition of
psychodynamic approach is unconscious thoughts, pressures of society, family events, people s childhood event, and
biological forces. A professional person in the area of psychology must be in tune, with the client using empathy and code
of ethics. For example, the theories are psychoanalysis, analytical, or individual approach which deals with the person s
state of well being.
Second, the therapeutic sides explore a ray of techniques from a psychodynamic approach, with an umbrella for
therapeutic approaches using Psychoanalysis,

Women In The Fifth Letter Heloise
In the fifth letter Heloise refers to women as the weaker sex. Regardless of whether or not she believed that herself, that
was the common thought of the Middle Ages. It was believed that the female mind was inadequately equipped, compared
to that of a males, and it was frowned upon for a woman to show that she might be more intelligent than any male.
According to Williams and Echols, women physicians were often charged as witches by male physicians or tangled up in
legal issues because they competed with the males. Heloise was very careful to never challenge Abelard s intelligence. She
always addressed him as if he were above her, and appealed to his position in the church regardless of the fact that in
contrast to Heloise , Abelard had failed miserably in monastic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the second letter, Abelard asserts his authority over Heloise, and states that she can only contact him if she is seeking
help for matters that pertain to God. Heloise acquiesced to this because she realized that to Abelard, she was the weaker
sex, and that he needed her to seek his advice to prove his authority over her and also because she wanted to continue to
correspond with him. According to Professor Stephen G. Nichols, writing was equivalent to the caress that Heloise used to
receive from Abelard. In the fifth letter, she appeals to Abelard s ego by addressing his need to

Herbert Hoover Beliefs
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and the peoples support is important is what I have come up with after
reading through these documents. I think all three of the authors made valid points and maybe some invalid points, as well.
During the difficult time in America s history, several different leaders suggested a multitude of solutions to the growing
crisis; Herbert Hoover wanted decentralized federal government, Franklin Roosevelt experimented with federal relief and
regulation policies, and Huey Long opted for a socialistic Share the Wealth solution. These three leaders differed with one
another in perspective, purpose, and opinion over the best anticipated outcome of the United States.
Herbert Hoover felt that as a country we needed to stray away from Government power and pride more on responsibilities
as individuals again. He stated that this would put the Government back into its position as the umpire instead of a player
in the economic game. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He started his audience with a statement about fear. His statement was, ...let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we
have to fear is fear itself. He then hints that all other times the United States had been in trouble in their national life that a
leadership has come up and been supported by the people. Then, Roosevelt went on to say that this support was essential to
victory and that he hoped he could also get that support. He noticed many people needed to put to work and even proposed
the idea that the Government directly recruit people (like in time of war) and that through the employment the country
would also accomplish projects to reutilize the natural resources. Then, in hopes to keep from getting in the same boat or in
trouble again he thought they needed to implement two safeguards for strict supervision of all banking and credits and

The Use Of Nonverbal Mimicry For A Therapist
The use of nonverbal mimicry will help establish rapport in fact it will increase the amount of information provided by the
client (Abbe Brandon, 2013). There is neurological proof that the brain will elicit a automatic response if someone is
deemed trustworthy changing an individuals feelings, this is influenced by the way people look and act (Adolphs, 2002).
Another factor that influences rapport for a therapist is knowing the roles of eclecticism and pluralism, a therapist needs to
know which viewpoint is going to be best for a client, Therapist have been using a more eclectic and integrative approach
to therapy as a whole for year. Ggenerally this is a empathic method and empathy is seen as a important factor in a
therapeutic alliance, as proven by neuroscience. empathy helps expand a patients feelings, thoughts, sensations and
possible actions, this is a client and person centred approach to rapport (Decety Ickes, 2011). However, with a pluralistic
approach there are lots of different ways of doing things, as well as asking the patient what they think. In the end therapist
and patient work together to ascertain what is the best approach in the therapy session, so uses a almost infinite diversity of
approaches to therapy, (Kihlstrom, 2003), this in theory would only increase rapport. But only potentially work if you had
good rapport in the first place. A pluralistic approach appears to have a huge range in diversity of therapies, therefore;
surely it would require

The Physical Environment Of The Classroom
The physical environment of the classroom
As I walked into the classroom, I noticed many visuals, hands on materials, child size tables and chairs. The visuals around
the classroom were pictures/ descriptions that can help the children identify things around the room. For example: centers,
a word wall that consisted of sight words that they have learned in the past and words that are being added, shapes and
colors, a calendar, classroom rules, and a sign language chart so that the children can learn his or her alphabets in sign
language. In addition, the children s authentic artwork were posted on the art board. For a large group of 15 children, the
classroom space was very limited. In this specific classroom, the ratio was 2:15 (1 teacher, 1 aide and 15 children) and this
classroom isn t shared with another class. The classroom has two long tables with six chairs per table: six red chairs and
six blue chairs. The cooperating teacher explained that she has a red table and blue table because she wanted to separate
specific friends due to behavioral issues. For circle time, the teacher has a rocking chair right in front of the circle time mat
and everything on the circle time board is to the children s eye level and child size. The circle time rug is big enough so
that the children have space and they can see and hear the teacher. So far from what I have observed, the children have
access to books, crayons, markers, writing utensils such as pencils, and journals.

Rush Week Essay
During rush week, I was required to talk to potential new members for my fraternity. I had many conversations with
freshman and a couple of sophomores is one big group. The PNMs and I discussed a wide range of topics. One particular
guy I was talking to was actually a friend of mine who was the only sophomore at the rush events. He and I talked about
how great our freshman year was and how much we hated a certain person.
In our main conversation, we discussed about how he wanted to be a part of a bigger idea and fortunately our mutual friend
referred him to my fraternity. My friend told me how he doesn t want join a fraternity that hazes their new members. He

we talked about the girl we hated he displayed all of the emotions listed above except happiness. I did the same depending
on his stories. Our show of happiness and excitement were displayed when we both discovered that we both hate a

The Story Of The Koa Tree
Step by step, breath after heavy breath, Mikey and I hiked our way up the Maka ula O oma trail. It was a bit embarrassing
that after lifting weights for the preceding four months we were still winded by the moderate size hill. We took a break half
way up but this was no wasted break. I found an opening off the path and noticed a Koa tree about three feet high. Then I
turned to Mikey and said, this is the reason we came up here. Is that a Koa tree? I remember him asking before I explained
to him how it most definitely was, however, as they reach maturity they take on a different form. We were there in search
for the great elders, towering in stature with leaves resembling a crescent. After my explanation he quickly responded, Can

We were about to leave before coming across four bottles littered on the ground. The bottles were gross looking and things
were already beginning to grow on it. We didn t want to bring these with us through the rest of our adventure. So I thought,
what would the ancient Hawaiians do? And as I raised my head my sights were locked on a tea leaf plant. I walk over,
thank the plant, and pick a couple of leaves from it. I then ripped each leaf in half and began to bundle up the bottles and
tie them together. Two bundles were easier to carry than four bottles so we carried them to the fork in the trail and left
them there until we got back from our journey. We were back on track, making our way down the left route. I was hopeful
but discouraged for the first couple hundred feet, with Mikey taking the lead pointing at every different plant asking Is that
a Koa tree? I rebuttal by saying, we literally saw one like ten minutes ago. To no surprise his curiosity or his inner child
proceeded with the questions. One tree exposed itself after the other until it seemed as all the trees bordering the trail
became Koa trees. I was dragging my jaw on the floor as I slowly walked under the chattering giants all wearing orange
coats around their trunks. Seed pods began to envelope the forest floor so much that Mikey and I lost each other for a
while foraging on the trail. We soon got more than a hundred seeds so decided to just relax under

Romantic Individualism In Edith Wharton s The Custom Of...
Edith Wharton, a Pulitzer Prize winning American novelist and short story writer is markedly unique, insisting on order,
form, standards and disciplines which curb the romantic individualism. In addition to her fifteen novels, she has to her
credit, seven novellas, and eighty five short stories, poems, books on design, travel, literary and cultural criticism, and a
memoir. Her writing is classical and it reveals the instability of human nature, the impossibility of perfection of human
beings and the doctrine of inevitable material progress. In The Custom of the Country, Wharton has combined her view of
America s privileged classes with a brilliant and natural wit in the incisive depiction of a notorious woman, Undine,

Undine is an incarnation of Austen s Lady Susan in the society of Edith Wharton s Old New York in The Custom of the
Country, Wharton has written a kind of Austen sequel. Undine is indifferent to normal, emotional expectations. She seeks
for a partner who need not mandatorily meet her sexual impulses if she has any. She will meet his needs provided he is
capable of playing a dominant role in the society. Need for conspicuousness devours the need for any sexual instincts.
Hence Edith Wharton creates Undine Spragg with precarious impulses. She is subservient to carnal desires of any kind.
Any quest has to end up with some discovery or finding and Undine s insatiable quest also culminates in a finding, though
it is a partial fulfillment of her quest. Her experiences with different sorts of men representing different social and
geographical backgrounds is worth mentioning. She somewhat comes to end her quest in the rediscovery of her former
counterpart Elmer Moffatt. Elmer Moffatt who also reaches his final position going through a similar

Love Poetry By Edna St. Vincent Millay
Courtly Love Poetry
Whenever modern poetry is mentioned, there is an overwhelming consensus that it involves an onslaught of free verse with
irregular structure Modern poetry was seen as not rhyming, even when it did rhyme; as obscure and difficult, even when it
was at its most lucid and limpid (Schmidt, 3). There is also a stereotype that traditional forms of poetry that were popular
in the past were abandoned. However, when looking at examples of modern poetry, it becomes clear that this is not the
case. Whilst it is true that many modern poets have embraced the free verse form of poetry, others have adopted classical
poem forms. Tweaking them slightly so that can adapt to the modern world. Thus reviving these forms and making them
more fresh and relevant. American poet Edna St. Vincent Millay can be seen to fit into this category. She is particularly
well known for her sonnets. This essay will analyse one of Millay s sonnets in to context of the evolution of courtly love
poetry. The history of the sonnet will also be examined to demonstrate how Millay has faithfully refashioned her poems.
However, whist Millay has kept the construction of sonnet pure she has differed in the message it portrays. Hence this
essay will also deconstruct Millay s poem and discuss how its tone differs from traditional courtly love poetry.
According to Burt and Mikics (6) the origins of the sonnet can be traced back to France and the courts of Sicily in the
thirteenth century. It is

How Is Hamlet Selfish
The Bible says Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, Vengeance is mine, I
will repay. (Romans 12:19). In modern society, most people do not think about revenge as a bad thing, but rather as a
natural part of life. Sometimes it is viewed down upon and questioned by those with high moral standards, or when a
person wants revenge so severe that it would require blood to be shed. This was the case for Hamlet in the play Hamlet, by
Shakespeare. After finding out his father had been killed by his Uncle, who had taken over the throne of Denmark, he is
filled with anger and hatred, along with a feeling of self loathing. Throughout the course of the play, Hamlet pretends to be
a madman so he can have his way, questions death and what comes after dying, and wonders if he should actually kill
another human being. After the conflict is resolved, Shakespeare ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the first act of the play, after he found out his uncle, Claudis, killed his father, he was enraged. This is demonstrated
during his conversation with the ghost of his father when he says Haste me to know t , that I, with wings as swift / As
meditation or the thoughts of love / May sweep to my revenge (1.5 31 37). By saying this, Hamlet acknowledges that he is
ready to kill and is not afraid of what follows. However, somewhere in his line of reasoning, he questions whether killing a
person is morally justified. He comes up with multiple reasons on why not to kill him, one being that the king is praying
and he wants to send him to hell, not to heaven. Eventually, his resolve hardens when he sees Fortinbras s army march
across Denmark, and makes the remark:
That, for a fantasy and trick of fame
Go to their graves like beds, fight for a plot
Whereon the numbers cannot try the cause,

The Death Of Gang Research
In the early twentieth century, the term gang was associated with groups in socially disorganized and deteriorated inner
city neighborhoods: It was applied to juveniles who engaged in a variety of delinquencies, ranging from truancy, street
brawls, and beer running to race riots, robberies, and other serious crimes (Regoli, Hewitt, DeLisi, 2011). There were
several gangs within the United States, which included street gangs, prison gangs, motorcycle gangs, and organized crime
gangs that still exist today. The word gang is derived from the word gonge, which is a term that means a journey. Frederic
Thrasher who was called the Father of Gang Research , who defined the word gang as kids in the streets back in the 1920s.
Many of the American gangs began in urban areas and they still exist. It is said that many of the known street gangs
originated in some of the major cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami and New York, and they later moved
to other American cities such as Atlanta, Cleveland, St. Louis, Dallas, Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans, Milwaukee,
Orlando, Houston, and Detroit. According to the 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment, published by the National Gang
Intelligence Center, some 33,000 gangs were estimated to be operating in the United States in 2011, comprising an
estimated 1.4 million members (Driscoll, 2013). Some of the first predecessors of street gangs were Secret Societies,

The Effects of Black Death
The Effects of Black Death
Black death was a bubonic plague, which took the lives of millions of people in the mid 1300s. This plague was caused by
a bacterium called Yersinia pestis, which lived in fleas. Therefore, transmitting the bacteria to its rodent hosts every time
they would feed. The bacteria then killed the rodents leaving the fleas without hosts to feed on and in result they would
feed on the humans. (Bailey 7 12) Most people who were infected would last two to three days before they died, no longer
than two to three weeks. The plague moved rapidly, medical researchers believe it could have moved as fast as eight to
twelve miles a day. The plague was first encountered in China and it spread through Asia and into Europe in a ... Show

His justification was that his wife was old and she would cause no suspicion. (212) The standards and requirements of the
Church had lowered tremendously. Placing men in high places whose intentions were immoral. The priests knew the
demand there was for them therefore, they raised their fees to make more money. The fees had gone so high that the people
began to complain to the archbishop of Canterbury Simon Islip, an he in response issued the constitution Effrenata on May
28th, 1350, which it aimed to keep the priests from charging excessive amounts of money for their services during the
plague. The constitution was called Effrenata because that was the first word of the document, which it meant, unbridled as
in unbridled greed of the human race . Islip s intention to help the people through the constitution of Effrenata did not have
much success due to greedy priests taking advantage of those in need. (Byrne 68)
Another aspect of life that was highly affected was society. During the plague and after the plague society s values and
faith began to change. When the Black Death began taking the lives of the clergy just as well as everyone else, society
began to wonder if the clergy were as powerful and as united to God as they had once believed, because no matter their
prayer the plague was still raging. The people lost faith in the clergy and by the end of the plague the Church had lost its
authority, not only for the reason

Airline Marketing Plan
Executive Summary
1.0 Executive Summary
Puddle Jumpers Airlines, Inc. is a new consumer airline in its formative stages. It is being organized to take advantage of a
specific gap in the short haul domestic travel market. The gap exists in low cost service out of Anytown, U.S.A. The gap in
the availability of low cost service in and out of the Anytown hub coupled with the demand for passenger travel on
selected routes from Anytown indicates that a new entrant airline could be expected to capture a significant portion of
current air travel business at that hub.

This ASM factor places Puddle Jumpers in a grouping of the lowest four in the airline industry within the short haul
market. (US Air, the dominate carrier in the Anytown market, averages 12.0 cents per ASM by comparison). The only
three airlines with lower operating costs also operate older and less reliable equipment, and even then the lowest short haul
cost in the airline industry is currently Southwest at 6.43 cents per ASM.

Work Study In Construction Essay
1.1 General
Construction labour productivity has become big problem in construction industry. In many countries, labour cost
comprises 30 to 50% of the overall project s cost (Yates and Guhathakurta, 1993), and thus is regarded as a true reflection
of the economic success. Because construction is labour intensive industry, significance of this effect not only justifies the
concern over its labour productivity, but it can also be argued that labour power is the only productive resource.
There are many challenges that are faced by construction industry in India, but one of the important challenges is labour

The Man Nobody Knows
The Man Nobody Knows 7/17/01 The author of this book Bruce Barton was a partner in a successful advertising firm
during the 1920 s. This was a time when the industry of advertising was under going some major changes. These changes
had a lot to do with a number of factors the first of which being the post war prosperity this meant people had more money
than they ever had before. Another one of these factors had to do with the high number of teens who were now attending
high school, this proved to be important because it created a whole other market which hadn t existed before. One more
factor was the advances made in transportation and communication, these advances allowed goods, people, and
information to travel long distances ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Still another thing I noticed was Barton s use of a parable. Barton could have just came right out and said, ‘I think Jesus
had a lot of qualities a business man should have, and in this book I plan to point these qualities out, but instead he tell us
the story of how he came to write the book. The story manages to catch the reader s attention, and allows us to relate to his
experiences in a way that simply telling us his intentions would not have done. This brings me to my next point in giving
us something to relate to Barton has not only caught our attention but also demonstraight his sincerity by relating to us on a
personal level. All of these characteristics would be Characteristics of a good ad in Barton s eyes. In the rest of this book
Barton looks at Jesus the business man and not Jesus the sun of god. He did this by quoting parables from the Bible and
using them as examples of Jesus good business methods. He takes this comparison as far as to call the apostles adman
selling faith. In conclusion Bruce Barton s book The Man Nobody Knows changed the face of advertising

Chemotaxis Lab Report
Genetic interference of Caenorhabditis Elegans within the process of Chemotaxis Abstract For the majority of animals on
earth, responding to chemical stimuli could mean the difference between life and death. Taste is an example of sensing
chemical stimuli however, this response is not entirely dependent on genes, as tasting something will not necessarily
trigger a gene to activate. Within a simpler organism however, such as Caenorhabditis Elegans, there is a complex behavior
that is mediated by three sensory neurons and transduce chemical stimuli to move muscles that move an animal
forward(attraction) or backwards(repulsion). By placing these organisms on several plates which will inhibit genetic
expression, and then testing chemotaxis at a later point, it is possible to determine which genes are responsible for
chemotaxis. The global sample averages of the chemotaxis indexes of CEH 36 and CEH 27 are somewhat inconclusive,
with a mean of 0.5815 for CEH 36 and 0.6981 for CEH 27. Overall, the results for CEH 27 are likely to show that there is
a lack of genetic interference with chemotaxis where CEH 36 is less definitive. Introduction Within C. Elegans, there are
three primary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, once comparing the data to larger sample sizes, interfering with CEH 36 expression did not have a role in
chemotaxis instead the data showed an average of 0.5818. Therefore, more experimentation will be necessary in order to
determine the role CEH 36 plays in chemotaxis. Acknowledgements I would like to say thank you to Courtney Cochran,

Applied Field Project Analysis
The completion of the Applied Fields group project was a complete success. Coordination throughout the weeks before the
due date was top notch, compared to any group project that has come my way. Each student was engaged with their section
each individual was to complete and spoke to each other with a great level of respect. In the chosen field of business, I
learned that starting a business should not be about making millions of dollars, but should be pursued with the mindset of
doing it for others. The surprising part is that a thriving business like Happy Tails started from the garage of an animal
enthusiast. Writing about this subject brought chills to my back, because being passionate about anything can bring much

The Aborigines Used Red Ochre For The Rock Carvingsxvi
The Aborigines used a variety of art to share stories including rock carvings, body painting and ground designs which date

The Aborigines used stone tools for hunting and gathering. Because they did not domesticate animals or begin to farm,
they had no need for anything more than stone tools. They also did not need to focus so much on technological
advancements because their lives were centered around the land and the religious significance it containedxx. However,
the Aborigines still made many scientific advancements. They created many stone tools to hunt and fish such as knives,
scrapers, axe heads, spears, various vessels for eating and drinking, and digging sticks. They were also the first group to

Biological Diversity
Effects of Loss of Biological Diversity
As the loss of biological diversity or biodiversity continues to increase at unprecedented rates, it leaves a long lasting effect
on the environment of the planet Earth. Such effects are so threatening that they can claim human lives in the near future.
Humans are clearing forests (deforestation) to occupy more land to urbanise more areas. Thus, as humans continue to
exploit the habitat of animals and plants for their own selfish needs, they harm the entire environment of the earth. The
deforestation has resulted in a variety of animals, which dwell in that area, to leave the habitat. This is quite alarming as it
could result in the loss of those species diversity in the future.
The precious natural resources of the green earth are excessively exploited by humans. This includes overharvesting
animals to the extent that these species become extinct. It also includes overconsumption of natural resources such as
timber and fossil fuel which take years to regenerate. This is a direct threat to biodiversity.
Humans pollute the environment in every way they can. They pollute the air with harmful pollutants such as carbon
monoxide, sulphur dioxide, chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) and nitrogen oxides produced by industry and motor vehicles.
These greenhouse gases are, in turn, destroying the ozone layer. The ozone layer reflects the harmful ultraviolet rays of the
sun. As this layer is being affected now, humans are becoming more prone to

Blurred Lines In J. C. Burke s The Story Of Tom Brennan
In life, the line that separates victims from perpetrators is as clear as a window pane, but in some situations that window
can crack, causing damage and danger. A victim is someone who has been harmed, or worse, due to a crime or accident. A
perpetrator is a person who has committed a crime, either accidently or purposely. Three stories that capture this blurred
line are Shattered, an Australian Story episode on ABC s website, The Story of Tom Brennan, a story written by Australian
author J.C.Burke, and In My Little Town, another Australian Story episode. They all share the common theme of having a
blurred line between victim and perpetrator.

Lovett has just told Todd what had happened to his wife and daughter, and Todd is incredibly angry and ready to kill the
judge. After, Mrs. Lovett gives a case of Todd s old razors to him and says you could be a Barber again . The song starts
with a repetitive, hypnotic motion in the piano. Also vocally this is awfully rigid and has a whispery quality to it. Todd
goes into a trance like state and the only entity he can focus on is the razors. As the song goes on Mrs. Lovett chimes in
with telling Todd how she fancies him, but Todd remains fully invested in his razors almost as if they were another human
being. The number closes with Todd in immense triumph as he states at last my right arm is complete again . The
performances in this number are okay, Michael Cerveris has a fine grasp of this character. The joy is heard in his voice
towards the conclusion of the song when he s talking about what he will achieve with the razors. Yet throughout the song
he s incredibly staccato on his sections where he should be legato, it s fairly distracting. While Patti LuPone has an odd
way of shaping her vowels, this makes it difficult to hear her text. Also the speed in the section where Todd and Lovett are
singing together is too slow. It s a point in immense joy for both of them and the music should be faster because of that.

Discrimination Against Gay Discrimination
Discrimination against, and persecution of, Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer (LGBTQ) people is as widespread as
it is timeless. While conditions in society have improved, especially in recent years, it is not hard to find an example of
some sort of harassment endured by an LGBTQ person. Different justifications exist in the minds of those who seek to
harass and condemn: religious beliefs, personal taste, familial responsibilities, nationalistic unity, cultural expectations, the
list goes on and on. Shielded with these, persecutors strike against the LGBTQ community, wielding religious and
governmental institutions like weapons. The casualties of this so called culture war are high: mental health is negatively

Although this is a monumental achievement, it tends to give a false sense that the battle is won and discrimination has been
toppled, however nothing could be further from the truth. Gay adoption is still a contentious issue. In Florida, for example,
state laws prohibit any homosexual from adopting a child. Florida prohibits second parent adoptions as well. () Even today
we still have LGBTQ members getting arrested over their private consensual practices. A web journal demonstrated while
the sodomy laws have been declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, they still pose a very active threat for LGBTQ
members in rural Southern communities. () Many big legal issues still exist that LGBTQ people have to navigate carefully
around.
Personally: Raising children
Workplace discrimination still occurs towards members of the LGBTQ community which negatively impacts all aspects of
their life. Being discriminated against at the workplace effects economic stability not to mention how it can bring many
psychological issues. Congress has been working on passing the Employment Non Discrimination Act require an employer

Morality, Religion, And Morality
There are millions of people in the world who use religion as a guide to what is morally right or wrong in society. They
have the perception that morality is impossible without a belief in a higher power or that religion and morality cannot be
separate. On the other hand, there are also many people who believe that the only real basis for morality should be separate
from a belief in a god and from religion itself. So does society really need to believe in a higher power to have morals? The
answer is no for a few simple reasons. Morality is not necessarily a part of religion, nor is religion the essence of anything
moral. Religion and morality can be separable in many different aspects along with the fact that not everyone who is moral
is religious. Society can in fact have moral values regardless of whether a belief in a higher power is present or not.
It can be argued that someone who is religious has a higher sense of morality than someone who doesn t practice a religion
at all, but does practicing a religion make you a better person than someone who doesn t? The world has a large number of
people who do not practice any religion but still live moral lives. Atheists and agnostics do not behave less morally than
religious believers, even if their virtuous acts are mediated by different principles. They often have as strong and sound a
sense of right and wrong as anyone, including involvement in movements to abolish slavery and contribute to relief efforts

Industrialization after the Civil War
Industrialization after the Civil War Industrialization during the 1860 s through the 1900 s caused many problems globally.
Industrialization changed a lot in the US for Americans because it made it easier for citizens to do labor work, expanded
capital for businesses and opened up many job opportunities for people. Although this was beneficial to the Americans it
caused other problems to escalate, and caused many people to flee into the cities, as well as caused a differentiation
between the rich and the poor. However, after the civil war, industrialization affected the US politically, economically and
environmentally way more than them benefitting from it. The negative effect brought political controversy and resulting in

Petruchio s intelligence is shown as he makes the comparison to a well established shrew and his strength is confirmed

the audience wondering who will be the dominant person in the relationship and which one will eventually back down and

Kerberos Essay
Kerberos and Firewalls
Kerberos
Kerberos is defined as an authentication protocol combined with a suite used in implementing the software (Nicola

Z, the request and authentication process works in the following way. The user Z feeds in a username and password into
the client machine, which is encrypted to form a secret key. The user Z through the client then contacts the authentication
server, which in turn sends the

Regardless of whether or not she believed that herself, that was the common thought of the Middle Ages. It was believed that the female mind was inadequately equipped, compared to that of a males, and it was frowned upon for a woman to show that she might be more intelligent than any male. According to Williams and Echols, women physicians were often charged as witches by male physicians or tangled up in legal issues because they competed with the males. These three leaders differed with one another in perspective, purpose, and opinion over the best anticipated outcome of the United States. Herbert Hoover felt that as a country we needed to stray away from Government power and pride more on responsibilities as individuals again. He stated that this would put the Government back into its position as the umpire instead of a player in the economic game. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He started his audience with a statement about fear. His statement was, ...let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. He then hints that all other times the United States had been in trouble in their national life that a leadership has come up and been supported by the people. Then, Roosevelt went on to say that this support was essential to victory and that he hoped he could also get that support. He noticed many people needed to put to work and even proposed the idea that the Government directly recruit people (like in time of war) and that through the employment the country would also accomplish projects to reutilize the natural resources. • 6. The Use Of Nonverbal Mimicry For A Therapist The use of nonverbal mimicry will help establish rapport in fact it will increase the amount of information provided by the client (Abbe Brandon, 2013). There is neurological proof that the brain will elicit a automatic response if someone is deemed trustworthy changing an individuals feelings, this is influenced by the way people look and act (Adolphs, 2002). Another factor that influences rapport for a therapist is knowing the roles of eclecticism and pluralism, a therapist needs to know which viewpoint is going to be best for a client, Therapist have been using a more eclectic and integrative approach to therapy as a whole for year. Ggenerally this is a empathic method and empathy is seen as a important factor in a therapeutic alliance, as proven by neuroscience. empathy helps expand a patients feelings, thoughts, sensations and possible actions, this is a client and person centred approach to rapport (Decety Ickes, 2011). However, with a pluralistic approach there are lots of different ways of doing things, as well as asking the patient what they think. In the end therapist and patient work together to ascertain what is the best approach in the therapy session, so uses a almost infinite diversity of approaches to therapy, (Kihlstrom, 2003), this in theory would only increase rapport. But only potentially work if you had good rapport in the first place. A pluralistic approach appears to have a huge range in diversity of therapies, therefore; surely it would require ... I found an opening off the path and noticed a Koa tree about three feet high. Then I turned to Mikey and said, this is the reason we came up here. Is that a Koa tree? I walk over, thank the plant, and pick a couple of leaves from it. I then ripped each leaf in half and began to bundle up the bottles and tie them together. Two bundles were easier to carry than four bottles so we carried them to the fork in the trail and left them there until we got back from our journey. We were back on track, making our way down the left route. I was hopeful but discouraged for the first couple hundred feet, with Mikey taking the lead pointing at every different plant asking Is that a Koa tree? • 12. Love Poetry By Edna St. Vincent Millay Courtly Love Poetry Whenever modern poetry is mentioned, there is an overwhelming consensus that it involves an onslaught of free verse with irregular structure Modern poetry was seen as not rhyming, even when it did rhyme; as obscure and difficult, even when it was at its most lucid and limpid (Schmidt, 3). There is also a stereotype that traditional forms of poetry that were popular in the past were abandoned. However, when looking at examples of modern poetry, it becomes clear that this is not the case. Whilst it is true that many modern poets have embraced the free verse form of poetry, others have adopted classical poem forms. Tweaking them slightly so that can adapt to the modern world. Thus reviving these forms and making them more fresh and relevant. American poet Edna St. Vincent Millay can be seen to fit into this category. She is particularly well known for her sonnets. This essay will analyse one of Millay s sonnets in to context of the evolution of courtly love poetry. The history of the sonnet will also be examined to demonstrate how Millay has faithfully refashioned her poems. However, whist Millay has kept the construction of sonnet pure she has differed in the message it portrays. Hence this essay will also deconstruct Millay s poem and discuss how its tone differs from traditional courtly love poetry. According to Burt and Mikics (6) the origins of the sonnet can be traced back to France and the courts of Sicily in the thirteenth century. It is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. How Is Hamlet Selfish The Bible says Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay. (Romans 12:19). In modern society, most people do not think about revenge as a bad thing, but rather as a natural part of life. Sometimes it is viewed down upon and questioned by those with high moral standards, or when a person wants revenge so severe that it would require blood to be shed. This was the case for Hamlet in the play Hamlet, by Shakespeare. After finding out his father had been killed by his Uncle, who had taken over the throne of Denmark, he is filled with anger and hatred, along with a feeling of self loathing. Throughout the course of the play, Hamlet pretends to be a madman so he can have his way, questions death and what comes after dying, and wonders if he should actually kill another human being. By saying this, Hamlet acknowledges that he is ready to kill and is not afraid of what follows. However, somewhere in his line of reasoning, he questions whether killing a person is morally justified. He comes up with multiple reasons on why not to kill him, one being that the king is praying and he wants to send him to hell, not to heaven. There were several gangs within the United States, which included street gangs, prison gangs, motorcycle gangs, and organized crime gangs that still exist today. The word gang is derived from the word gonge, which is a term that means a journey. • 25. Chemotaxis Lab Report Genetic interference of Caenorhabditis Elegans within the process of Chemotaxis Abstract For the majority of animals on earth, responding to chemical stimuli could mean the difference between life and death. Taste is an example of sensing chemical stimuli however, this response is not entirely dependent on genes, as tasting something will not necessarily trigger a gene to activate. Within a simpler organism however, such as Caenorhabditis Elegans, there is a complex behavior that is mediated by three sensory neurons and transduce chemical stimuli to move muscles that move an animal forward(attraction) or backwards(repulsion). By placing these organisms on several plates which will inhibit genetic expression, and then testing chemotaxis at a later point, it is possible to determine which genes are responsible for chemotaxis. The global sample averages of the chemotaxis indexes of CEH 36 and CEH 27 are somewhat inconclusive, with a mean of 0.5815 for CEH 36 and 0.6981 for CEH 27. Coordination throughout the weeks before the due date was top notch, compared to any group project that has come my way. Each student was engaged with their section each individual was to complete and spoke to each other with a great level of respect. In the chosen field of business, I learned that starting a business should not be about making millions of dollars, but should be pursued with the mindset of doing it for others. • 29. Biological Diversity Effects of Loss of Biological Diversity As the loss of biological diversity or biodiversity continues to increase at unprecedented rates, it leaves a long lasting effect on the environment of the planet Earth. Such effects are so threatening that they can claim human lives in the near future. Humans are clearing forests (deforestation) to occupy more land to urbanise more areas. Thus, as humans continue to exploit the habitat of animals and plants for their own selfish needs, they harm the entire environment of the earth. The deforestation has resulted in a variety of animals, which dwell in that area, to leave the habitat. This is quite alarming as it could result in the loss of those species diversity in the future. The precious natural resources of the green earth are excessively exploited by humans. This includes overharvesting animals to the extent that these species become extinct. It also includes overconsumption of natural resources such as timber and fossil fuel which take years to regenerate. This is a direct threat to biodiversity. Humans pollute the environment in every way they can. They pollute the air with harmful pollutants such as carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) and nitrogen oxides produced by industry and motor vehicles. After, Mrs. Lovett gives a case of Todd s old razors to him and says you could be a Barber again . The song starts with a repetitive, hypnotic motion in the piano. Also vocally this is awfully rigid and has a whispery quality to it. Todd goes into a trance like state and the only entity he can focus on is the razors. As the song goes on Mrs. Lovett chimes in with telling Todd how she fancies him, but Todd remains fully invested in his razors almost as if they were another human being. The number closes with Todd in immense triumph as he states at last my right arm is complete again . The performances in this number are okay, Michael Cerveris has a fine grasp of this character. The joy is heard in his voice towards the conclusion of the song when he s talking about what he will achieve with the razors. Yet throughout the song he s incredibly staccato on his sections where he should be legato, it s fairly distracting. While Patti LuPone has an odd way of shaping her vowels, this makes it difficult to hear her text. Also the speed in the section where Todd and Lovett are singing together is too slow. • 34. Morality, Religion, And Morality There are millions of people in the world who use religion as a guide to what is morally right or wrong in society. They have the perception that morality is impossible without a belief in a higher power or that religion and morality cannot be separate. On the other hand, there are also many people who believe that the only real basis for morality should be separate from a belief in a god and from religion itself. So does society really need to believe in a higher power to have morals? The answer is no for a few simple reasons. Morality is not necessarily a part of religion, nor is religion the essence of anything moral. Religion and morality can be separable in many different aspects along with the fact that not everyone who is moral is religious. Society can in fact have moral values regardless of whether a belief in a higher power is present or not. It can be argued that someone who is religious has a higher sense of morality than someone who doesn t practice a religion at all, but does practicing a religion make you a better person than someone who doesn t? The authentication protocol has its name derived from the three headed dog in the Greek mythology used for guarding the entrance to the underworld. The protocol involves three entities; the first two are aimed at authenticating one another i.e. the resource center and user while the third party acts as the key distribution center or the mediator between the two keys. Kerberos authentication protocol is based on symmetric key cryptography where the key used for encryption and decryption is the same. The formula for the protocol is DK (E K(M)) = M Where D stands for decryption, K stands for the key, E stands for encryption, M stands for encrypted text. In case the key is the same for both encryption and decryption procedures, the decryption process leads to the same plain text as the original text before encryption. The key distribution center comprises of two components, integrated into one server. These components are the authentication server and the ticket granting server. Considering three entities, that is, the resource center, client and user Z, the request and authentication process works in the following way. The user Z feeds in a username and password into the client machine, which is encrypted to form a secret key.
