Essay On The Cycle Of Nemesis In Richard III
Throughout this soliloquy in act 3 scene 4 of Shakespeare s Richard III Lord Hastings is led to his
execution. This scene portrays how the cycle of nemesis turns for all who choose to chase earthly
glory. He projects his regret to chase power alongside Richard as well as when he neglected to
acknowledge the many implications that led to his demise ultimate punishment, death. He is currently
being lowered off the wheel of fortune while simultaneously Richard has come one step into his goal
with his execution.
He first projects his Woe for England and it s future. As well as acknowledging the fact that this fate
was not unforeseen and it was his own ignorance that drove him here. He accepts his punishment and
has no pity for himself. Not a whit for me, The use of an epizeuxis woe woe applies emphasis on the
intense worry he has for England s future at the hands of Richard. The alliteration between woe woe
and whit shows the contrasting yet similar situations of people who will share the same fate as they
travel along the wheel. The woe is the prediction of fate as he is stating they will suffer and he has pity
for their future whereas whit is for his current state, as he is in his finale awareness.
He is currently in his final awareness of the cycle of nemesis as he remembers a time when he chose
to disdain to fly avoiding punishment after Stanley did dream the boar did raze his helm He realizes
this decision led him here.
He also remembers a time when

Alfred Adler s Life And Life
Alfred Adler was born on February 7, 1897 in the suburbs of Vienna. Adler had two series conditions
to as a child that motivated him to be a doctor, by the age of five he had survived rickets and
pneumonia. In 1895 he received his medical degree from the University of Vienna, he began his
medical career as a ophthalmologist. Adler examined personality and soon rejected Freud s emphasis
on sex and believed personality difficulties deal with a feeling of inferiority coming from restrictions
on the individual s need for self assertion (Fisher). Josef Rattner wrote a book on Alder s life titled
Alfred Alder (Literature Life) which was published in 1895. There are three very interesting things in
chapter two of this wonderful book are organ inferiority , feeling of inferiority, and striving to
superiority. Humans have healthy and full functional organs and some organs are inferior. The quality
of organs vary a great deal. These inferior organs manifests them self in anomalies of location, form,
or function. This usually means an increased susceptibility to diseases which tends to attack places
with low resistance. A study on organ inferiority by Adler shows the connection between organ
inferiority and fate in life. This study also show genetics is a factor which means they are
transmissible and certain organ problems can be traced through generations. Organ inferiorities
constitute a burden on the organism. Self assertion is bound to affect the inferior organs more

Theatre Tradition In The Renaissance Theatre
Theatre Tradition: English Renaissance Theatre
The Renaissance as we all know and have learnt is defined as the cultural rebirth that occurred in
Europe from the fourteenth century to the middle of the seventeenth century. The Renaissance is
usually grouped with Italy and the artistic development that took place there, with the focus shifting
from god or a higher deity to man, the emergence of the well renowned Leonardo Da Vinci, the idea
of observing, evaluating and then coming to a conclusion were major influences in Italy and are often
studied about. However the Renaissance affected other countries in similar ways to further their
progress as a society. The Neoclassical Era in France, the Elizabethan Era in England all began during

But before the amphitheatres there were inn yards. The Elizabethan Inn yards were a fore runner to
Elizabethan Theatres such as the Globe Theatre. Elizabethan Inns were always popular. Not only did
they provide alcohol but they also provided rooms and lodgings for the Elizabethan traveller. All of
these amphitheatres consisted of a large open space in which the audience would stand. This open
space was called the pit and was meant for those people who couldn t afford a proper seat within the
theatre itself, this would usually cost only one penny. These audience members were called the
understanders as they were not as educated and high class. Behind the understanders would be three
rings of galleries, one above the other, each nine or ten feet high, where the people were prepared to
pay a little more for a better seat and cushions. For the upper class there were special seats, or rooms
called the lords rooms which were positioned above the entrances of the stage. Even though the seats
were poor for watching the play itself they were mainly to show the others their privilege. The stage
itself was a proscenium arch stage, putting the scenes into a pictorial frame allowing the audience to
have a clear perspective of where to look at. Restoration theatres came into existence in 1660. The
picture frame stage is the basis of most modern staging and certainly the model for all cinema and

Love And Madness In The Duchess Of Malfi
Webster s The Duchess of Malfi (1608) a tragedy of love and madness. Webster is interested in
exploring the connection between love and mad jealousy by locating the homicidal jealousy in a
brother yearning for his sister, he compounds our awareness of the dark side of sexual desire, and the
potential for specific types of love to explode into violence. In Ferdinand, Webster presents us with
another form of forbidden love and enables us to explore the relationship between love and death from
the perspective of the villain.
Once Ferdinand hears of his sister s marriage to Antonio he raves Methinks I see her laughing
excellent hyena! Talk to me somewhat, quickly, or my imagination will carry me to see her in the
shameful act of sin The madness of Ferdinand s behavior toward his sister has led a lot of people to
conclude that he actually has incestuous feeling for her and he doesn t want his family legacy to be
transferred to this low birth and gives him new social identity as her husband. But when duchess first
proposes to Antonio he says Ambition, madam, is a great man s madness (1.1.412) which shows that
Antonio is not interested of getting social identity.

Japanese forces used methods of warfare that led to mass death and suffering on new unimaginable

Different Aspects That Go Into Making A Business...
There are many different aspects that go into making a business successful. Businesses need a strong
vision, great leaders within the organization, strong sales, a successful sales team, a steady stream of
revenue as well as a way to produce the revenue or sales coming in. Two important aspects of business
that are not always brought up, is profit and the cost to operate the organization. Often times managers
only look at the net profit or net revenue on their Profit and Loss statements without breaking down
the numbers or cost of doing business. Even if an organization is successful and has a great profit
margin at the end of the month, quarter or year, does not mean they do not need to analyze the cost of
the operations. Analyzing those costs cannot only help an organization become profitable, when they
are unprofitable, but can make them more profitable even if they show a healthy profit. Finding ways
to cut cost or become more efficient with the operations can lead an organization in the right direction
when it comes to their finances (Ahmed, S., 2016). When small businesses are involved they need to
pay close attention to their cost and controlling their cost. Profit planning is one way to manage cost
and use the budget to create ways for the managers to recognize how to work cheaper and more
efficiently. One small miss step with over purchasing or overages on production time or inventory can
cost a small business money, when this happens it can directly affect their

Report On Chemical Composition And Structure Of Csh
CE 2020: Construction Materials
Report on Chemical composition and Structure of CSH
Arjit Soni
ES13B1005
Introduction:
The C S H gel is the most abundant reaction product in cement, occupying about half of the paste
volume, it is also responsible for most of the properties of cement paste. This is just not because it is a
strong or stable phase but because it forms a continuous layer that binds the cement particles together.
All the other hydration products of cement form discrete crystals that are naturally strong but do not
have good connections to the solid phases they are in contact with hence cannot contribute much to
the overall strength of the cement paste. C S H gel gets the ability of the to act as a binding phase from
its nanometer level structure.
As C S H gel grows outward from the cement particles, it does not form a single large block or
monolithic solid phase but instead develops a complex internal system of tiny pores, called gel pores.
Gel pores are hundreds or thousands of times smaller than the original capillary pores which are
relatively large. The liquid water present in the gel pores is not part of the solid C S H phase
chemically but it is physically isolated, thus it cannot undergo any further chemical reaction with the
cement.
When hydrated cement paste is observed under microscope at moderate level of magnification, we
could see two apparently different types of C S H gel. One of these gel is less dense and more porous
that appears to occupy

The New Image Of The Tories
Most importantly, this reform successfully built the new image of the Tories, which humanized
Thatcherite ruthless policies and make the Tories electable for another term. The European issue was
the most problematic issue throughout Major s governance. Polarized opinions divided not only the
country, the Tories, but the cabinet itself. Major failed to manage the government to run effectively on
European issues as the government motion had been opposed in parliament (Bale,2011; Cowley and
Garry,1998). Yet, he successfully shifted the attitude of United Kingdom towards Europe from
Thatcherite ultra sceptic perspective or Labour s Europhile perspective to somewhere in between

His premiership style, along with his ability on managing foreign affairs, were highly praised by
American President George Bush, as his accountability and his stress on cabinet consensus
(Hennessey,2001, pp.441 443). Without Major s administration, Thatcher may have made the situation
worse by chaotic organization and communication within relative personals. When Major first stepped
in as the Prime Minister, the election is only 18 months ahead. Worse, his predecessor was hugely
unpopular with the government, the morale of the Tories was low as losing a bunch of safe seat by
election and electorates were tired on another term of ruthless Thatcherite rule. To handle that, Major
decided to run the electoral campaign in a different way. He built up a cabinet based on their ability,
not ideological preference, which including Hurd and Heseltine, his competitors in leader election,
hoping to unite the certain Conservative voters (Bale,2011). At the same time, Lamont s pre election
budget, which cutting the bottom of the income tax, tried to pull swing voters to the Conservatives
(Marr,2007, pp.484 487). Moreover, he managed to run a negative campaign on Labour s capability on
the economy, while remembering electorates the old labour fantasy high tax and spending with a
socialist ambition. This successfully pushes swing voters from labour to conservatives. He also

Visual Acuity Research Paper
What is visual acuity?
Visual acuity is commonly referred to as the clarity of vision and is dependent on both optical and
neural factors, such as the sharpness of the retinal focus in the eye, the health of the retina, and the
sensitivity of the brain. One aspect of visual acuity is the ability of recognizing and discriminating the
colours of the visible spectrum of light. There are two types of cells involved in vision: rod cells and
cone cells. Rod cells are highly sensitive cells that allow for low acuity vision in dim lit environments,
however they lack the detail and colour information. Cone cells are high acuity cells that provide
colour information in well lit environments. Rod cells provide more convergence than the cone cells
which results in their increased sensitivity but also results in the decreased acuity.
Physiology behind differences in visual acuity in men vs women
It is generally believed that woman have higher discriminatory abilities with respect to naming of
colours, which often implies they have superior colour vision. It has been found in many studies that
women perform better than men in the matching of colours from memory, and tend to use a plethora
of different words to describe sets of colour stimuli. It is possible that there exists an underlying
physiological explanation for why there should be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Impact of Classical Literature on Machiavellianism Essays
Much of what we know today of Greek culture was passed on through history via The Iliad by Homer.
The Greeks, one of the earliest recorded civilizations that our species is aware of, had a large influence
on the Roman Empire and by extension most of the civilizations of our known history. Through
history and different cultures, there are various stories of heroes and heroism, and it seems that the
definition of heroism has changed frequently since classical antiquity. Goddess, sing the rage of

each agreeing to not fight the other for the remainder of the war. (The Iliad 6.137 27I) The heroes are

these heroes and their combat strength. These virtues and their possessors indirectly led to the success
in returning Achilles to the battle and turning the tide for the Achaeans.
Courage and skill in oratory appear to have the most value to the Greeks. With courage, a warrior is

combat. A leader who is skilled in oratory will also have a similar effect. A rousing inspirational

Comparing Sexuality in Grey s Riders of the Purple Sage...
Sexuality of the Frontierswoman in Grey s Riders of the Purple Sage and Doctorow s Welcome to
Hard Times
The presentation of femininity in Doctorow s Welcome to Hard Times is a strong departure from the
heroine of Zane Grey s Riders of the Purple Sage. Through the metaphor of the gun as the
embodiment of masculinity, both authors closely examine the complexities of the sexualized
relationship of a frontierswoman to the men of her society. Doctorow mirrors the tensions present in
Grey s novel though Molly acts as an extraordinarily different vision of what the West required of a
woman than Jane Withersteen. Both novels reach a sexual climax as the heroine engages the men of
her society in a violent action of blood and birth. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The book opens with the failure of Blue s manhood. He, bearing the title of Mayor, failed to have both
the courage and the skill to protect the town, especially the women, from the Bad Man. Molly mocks
his failure even as she watches Blue fill the cylinders of [his] gun : Christ that Bad Man s the only
man in town!...I can t believe it...using a lady, for Godsake, marching brave behind a lady s skirts
(Doctorow 16). This moment, with Blue symbolically taking up his manhood and with Molly
simultaneously deriding his status as a man, encompasses much of the tension between the failed
masculinity of the citizens of Hard Times and their feminine counterparts. Ultimately, Blue s gun fails
him and he is saved from the Bad Man s superior skill and ruthlessness only by Molly s struggling and
pulling (19).
Doctorow s portrayal of failed masculinity as the founding sin of Hard Times contrasts strongly with
the more traditional Western. Zane Grey s Riders of the Purple Sage is a close parallel in many ways
to the opening of Welcome to Hard Times. The scene opens with the Bad Man of the piece, Tull,
preparing to whip Venters. Venters failure to defend himself comes as a result of surrendering his guns
to Jane s safekeeping. This symbolic castration leaves him at the mercy of the other men, and leaving
him behind a lady s skirts (Doctorow 16). Jane risks herself and places herself in the enmity of the
community by defending

In section 9.8, MD A provides more detailed information on above mentioned issue.
Current legal proceedings
Air Canada is involved in or may be subject to legal proceedings which could negatively impact the
company`s operations. Recently, Air Canada was involved in investigations by competition authorities
relating to Air Canada Cargo division and mandatory retirement issues. MD A explains the details of
the court proceedings.
External risks
Fuel cost, airport user and air navigation fees, foreign exchange, Aeroplan, Star Alliance, key
suppliers, regional carriers, economic and geopolitical conditions, competition.
Fuel cost
Cost of fuel is also one of Air Canada s largest operation costs items. Fuel prices have and may
continue to fluctuate widely depending on many factors and, therefore Air Canada cannot accurately
predict fuel prices. Due to the competitive nature of the airline industry, Air Canada may not be able to
pass an increase in fuel prices to its customers by increasing its fares. In addition, Air Canada may be
unable to appropriately or sufficiently hedge the risks associated with fluctuations in fuel prices.
Furthermore, the impact of lower jet fuel prices could be offset by increased price competition,
resulting in decreased revenues. Significant fluctuations in fuel prices could have a potential negative
effect on Air Canada.

The American Nightmare
The American Nightmare It was an extraordinary gift for hope, a romantic readiness such as I have
never found in any other person and which it is not likely I shall ever find again (Fitzgerald 6). In The
Great Gatsby, the narrator, Nick Carraway, was describing his neighbor s goal of marrying a woman
named Daisy. Gatsby, however, did not realize the futility of his dream which ended up costing him
his life. The Great Gatsby was written by Fitzgerald in 1925 and takes place in the summer of 1922.
The belief that anyone could get rich through hard work was still alive at the time and is evident in the
novel as both Gatsby and Carraway are newly rich characters. Fitzgerald himself grew up in a well off
family, similar to Carraway. Later on, Fitzgerald joined the Army during World War I, as did Gatsby
and Carraway. Gatsby was a successful officer in the Army when he met a woman named Daisy who
would then be the only concern in his life. Carraway was a somewhat successful bond salesman who
lived next door to Gatsby and liked to believe he was a fair and honest man. Daisy was a woman who,
in simple terms, was a gold digger. Daisy s only concern was to stay in the upper class, so she married
a rich man instead of Gatsby, which crushed his dream. If The Great Gatsby centered around Gatsby s
failed dream, the quick gain of money, and selfishness, then the novel may be a criticism of the
American Dream. The Great Gatsby takes place in the summer of 1922 around Long Island, New

Greatest Conceivable Being Research Paper
There are many ways to go about justifying a belief in the Greatest Conceivable Being. There are
numerous disputes to argue a theistic position, but there are also many fallacies that people use in an
unjustified way to prove the existence of God. Using strong evidence mainly from the cosmological
argument, the theory that everything happens as a cause of something before it leading all the way
back to a first existence, and the argument of design, stating that the complexity of nature could only
be explained by a sentient designer, a Greatest Conceivable Being must exist.
The cosmological argument discusses the idea that everything is an effect of a cause. Everything
happens due to something else, and all of that had to have begun somewhere at sometime. If you go
back all the way to the beginning of time and the commencement of the universe, something had to
have happened to caused for this to occur. This is what is believed to be the work of a Greatest
Conceivable Being. Everything in the world that exists, exists because something else caused it,
including the world itself. Thomas Aquinas established his own version of this cosmological theory by
saying, whatever is moved must be moved by another...but this cannot go on to infinity, because there
would be no first mover ( The Five Ways ). This theory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It seems to be that the only reasonable response to a question like this is, then what caused the Big
Bang? How can energy, matter, and life just come about out of nowhere? An entire universe coming

must have started with some kind of independent and sentient designer, a being that could have

The Negative Impact of Social Networking Sites on People
Social Networking Sites People have been impacted by social networking sites. Social networking
sites have a negative influence on our generation because of bullying, predation, and an effect on our
education. With kids interacting freely they can come across predation. Furthermore, some predators
have an objective of enticing young people into sending inappropriate webcam photos of themselves
or to engage in sexually explicit conversations (Sexton and English 2). Kids are the easiest to
manipulate and to take control of. Also, critics of social networking sites claim that it contributes to
predatory or stalking behavior and can used to invade privacy (Belanger and Finley 1). Parents should
be going through their children s profile to make sure who they are talking to. Clearly, with kids
sending private information about themselves they can be blackmailed by the receiver into mental and
physical abuse. Our generation is mostly being affected by cyberbullying. Additionally, anonymity
online can cause people to engage in cyberbullying or other anti social behavior because of limited
fear of being caught or identified (Sexton and English 2). With the idea of not getting caught, people
think it s funny to cyberbully. In addition to, social networking websites are virtual communities that
encourage and foster interaction among members of a group by allowing them to post personal
information, communicate with other users and connect their profiles to other profiles

Marriage and Individuality
God created marriage as a union between man and woman. A woman, while still having a mind of her
own and control over her own life, is under the authority of her husband. This frightens some women,
who fear oppression at the hands of their husbands. While it is true that some men abuse the system
that God set up for man and woman, not all men act as such. The Bible states monogamy is what God
laid down as a foundational law of marriage,
[...the Creator made them male and female...] For this reason a man will leave his father and mother
and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh ? So they are no longer two, but one
flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. (Mathew 19.5 6).

Harriet finds Phoebe, an old friend from her years in college, interesting, because her marriage is like
a dream. She has not changed a bit, and although she has children, she and her husband continue to go
gallivanting about the world in search of adventure (Sayers, 14 15). Though Phoebe and her husband
are not very successful parents, Phoebe s marriage is one of the success stories that begin to change
Harriet s mindset about the concept of marriage from it being repulsive to it being something
desirable. Marriage is works through compromise between the husband and wife; a woman who does
not wish to be a housewife, but prefers to work can discuss her feelings with her husband in order to
generate a resolution that leaves both the adults and the children happy with the result.
Marriage is a union of two people, melding their old lives with their new one. Mark and Jane insist on
maintaining entirely separate lives, which keeps their marriage from working (That Hideous Strength,
12). Lord and Lady Wimsey are able to live happily as a married couple because they communicate
with one another (Talboys, 32). When a couple is united, they can combat any force that comes against
them. In Talboys, Harriet s whole opinion on the institution of marriage has shifted. She and her
husband, Lord Peter Wimsey, get along very well, and she is still able to write, and he, detect criminal
proceedings with uncanny accuracy. She has come to the realization that she

Symbolism In The Scarlet Ibis, By James Hurst
When you see a storm, a tree, or the color red how does it make you feel? The Scarlet Ibis, written by
James Hurst, is about a brothers bond and his pride that pushes his brother until death. The narrator s
brother, Doodle, has a heart condition which makes him physically delayed. The narrator doesn t want
a disabled brother so he nicknames him Doodle because you can t expect much from a disabled person
in 1918. He was also ashamed that he had a brother that couldn t walk, therefore he decided to teach
him even though the doctor said he shouldn t do anything to push his heart. A bird called a scarlet ibis
plays an important part that develops symbolism in the story. The scarlet ibis and Doodle have many
things in common that brings the story together.
Both Doodle and the Scarlet Ibis died during a storm near a grand tree which symbolises danger and
sadness while the tree shows life. In addition the color red is an important warning sign throughout the
story. According to the story, It s a scarlet ibis, he said, pointing to a picture. It lives in the tropics
South America to Florida. A storm must have brought it here (Hurst l. 311 313). The scarlet ibis was in
danger and pushed out of its natural habitat due to the storm. The bird was most likely physically
exhausted and this led to its death. He also states, Sadly, we all looked back at the bird. A scarlet ibis!
How many miles it had traveled to die like this, in our yard, beneath the bleeding tree (Hurst l. 314
315).

The Reggio Emili A Model Of Early Childhood Development...
The Reggio Emilia approach is one that is a model, inspiring early childhood development education. .
As children are natural explorers, they enjoy their environment and would love it to be a part of their
own creation and knowledge. A typical day in a center that is based off of the Reggio Emilia approach
is centered on the interests of the child and the guidance from the teachers. There are various
opportunities that are provided to the children from a Reggio Emilia Approach.
This approach was a model of early childhood education that was based on the foundation that would
facilitate a child s learning through different ways. The ways, such as expressive, communicative, and
cognitive, were intended to progress early childhood development. This approach was founded by a
man who was an early education specialist from Reggio Emilia, a town in North Italy. The man s
name was Loris Malaguzzi. His vision attracted the world through his project and play based
curriculum. It was also based on the play of children and the guide of educators. The overall approach
is combined from principles that were based off of child centered curriculums. These types of
curriculums included parents, educators, the communities, and the children. This formulated what was
known as the environment. The environment is known to be the third teacher because it is set up by
the educators in order to observe and further the learning of the child. An important factor of this
approach is documenting. This

Nationality In Orthopedic Surgery
Nationality has an impact on respect in a way that people tend to refer to others by their countries of
origin. Depending on how good one is at performing a certain task both in school and at work which
draws one respect from peers. For example based on data from the Association of American Medical
Colleges(AAMC) ,women make up a larger percentage of residents in pediatrics compared to men that
specialize more in surgery. The same gender bias in some male dominated specialties may deter female
residents from pursuing them. Orthopedic surgery is still very male dominated and it s one of those
fields where the culture of the specialty reflects a boy s boy image, said Dr Ring. I don t think many

Quality Issues in Project Management
QUALITY ISSUES IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1. Introduction
There are a number of issues surrounding the general area of quality in project management. You will
need to be aware of some of the requirements of PRINCE (or PRINCE2) as well as the more general
aspects of the ISO 9000 and 14000 series.
2. Quality requirements as part of PRINCE
PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments) was revised from PRINCE in 1996 and is the
accepted standard for the control of projects in the computing area of the public sector. It is also
widely used outside this sector as a way of formalising project control procedures.
It lays down 8 key processes concerning (content generally obvious):
1. Directing of the project.
2. Planning of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We should also be aware of the ISO 14000 which covers legislative requirements with respect to
environmental impacts. This is relevant, in parts, to projects and their impacts.
4. The Prince2 Quality Plan/Manual:
The quality plan needs to cover in detail several key aspects of project control:
How quality criteria will be set?
What measures are to be taken to prevent the occurrence of faults or variances?
What will be done to detect and correct any faults/variances that do occur?
What tests/procedures will be used to demonstrate that quality criteria are being met?
What review and follow up procedures will be used?
Who will perform the quality control work?
What documentation will be produced by the process?
5. The Prince2 Quality Review and Log:
This might be the most important part of quality control in your PRINCE2 project. The aim is to find
any errors, deviations from standards or omissions in the task or stage once it is claimed to be finished
or at any other agreed point.
It is a face to face meeting (of no more than two hours) which should allow early error or variance
trapping. It consists of preparation, review and follow up procedures.
A quality log is kept of all invitations, attendees, results, corrective actions and sign offs. This log can
then be inspected as an audit trail by the user/stakeholder/client or by any independent quality
assurance agency in event of any disputes.

There are two main aspects that describe and affect both service quality; the actual service customers
expected (expected service) and services perceived (perceived service). Fitzsimmons Fitzsimmons
(2001) explains that the creation of customer satisfaction for a service can be identified through a
comparison between service perceptions with service expectation, see Figure 1.
Methods
Focus on utilizing secondary airports and older terminals should reduce airport fees and also up to a
certain point it is possible to avoid head on competition with or any of the high end airline services.
This will enable less congested airports, reduce average flight times and delay incidents. Consequently
Indigo will start to attract business travellers who value punctuality and frequency.
Other important features that can be added include innovative boarding processes that yield shorter
ground waits are
Reduce and monitor air freights Since these airlines are frequent flyers reducing the load on the
aircraft. It would also improve the flying experience, especially through

Ancient Roman And Greek Architecture
Modern Architecture around the globe had been influenced by ancient Roman and Greek architectural.
Although both ancient Romans and Greeks are recognized for their innovations in architecture having
both constructed a variety of buildings and structures that can still be appreciated today, they appear to
have concentrated mostly on the creation of temples which at first sight seem similar but in reality
they each diverged and had their own identity and served for different purposes. Ancient Greek and
Roman temples were both similarly built to carry out religious or spiritual happenings, and for the
adoration of their gods who were believed to protect and sustain their own community. Compared to
the Romans, the purpose of building the Greeks temples originated with the idea of constructing a
sacred precinct as a home for their gods which was represented by a colossal cult image placed in an
inner chamber called naos or cella . According to historians, the Greek not only worshiped their gods,
but they honored them as well by having daily offerings. Greek temples had servants who were in
charge of ensuring the needs and care of their deities. Symbolically, their temples were a
representation of their philosophy and civilization. Roman temples were somehow similar in that their
temples functioned as a sacred precinct to honor the Gods. Likewise, they were represented by statues,
however they had a more decorative purpose and were placed in apses instead. Equally important,

  • 2. Essay On The Cycle Of Nemesis In Richard III Throughout this soliloquy in act 3 scene 4 of Shakespeare s Richard III Lord Hastings is led to his execution. This scene portrays how the cycle of nemesis turns for all who choose to chase earthly glory. He projects his regret to chase power alongside Richard as well as when he neglected to acknowledge the many implications that led to his demise ultimate punishment, death. He is currently being lowered off the wheel of fortune while simultaneously Richard has come one step into his goal with his execution. He first projects his Woe for England and it s future. As well as acknowledging the fact that this fate was not unforeseen and it was his own ignorance that drove him here. He accepts his punishment and has no pity for himself. Not a whit for me, The use of an epizeuxis woe woe applies emphasis on the intense worry he has for England s future at the hands of Richard. The alliteration between woe woe and whit shows the contrasting yet similar situations of people who will share the same fate as they travel along the wheel. The woe is the prediction of fate as he is stating they will suffer and he has pity for their future whereas whit is for his current state, as he is in his finale awareness. He is currently in his final awareness of the cycle of nemesis as he remembers a time when he chose to disdain to fly avoiding punishment after Stanley did dream the boar did raze his helm He realizes this decision led him here. He also remembers a time when ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Alfred Adler s Life And Life Alfred Adler was born on February 7, 1897 in the suburbs of Vienna. Adler had two series conditions to as a child that motivated him to be a doctor, by the age of five he had survived rickets and pneumonia. In 1895 he received his medical degree from the University of Vienna, he began his medical career as a ophthalmologist. Adler examined personality and soon rejected Freud s emphasis on sex and believed personality difficulties deal with a feeling of inferiority coming from restrictions on the individual s need for self assertion (Fisher). Josef Rattner wrote a book on Alder s life titled Alfred Alder (Literature Life) which was published in 1895. There are three very interesting things in chapter two of this wonderful book are organ inferiority , feeling of inferiority, and striving to superiority. Humans have healthy and full functional organs and some organs are inferior. The quality of organs vary a great deal. These inferior organs manifests them self in anomalies of location, form, or function. This usually means an increased susceptibility to diseases which tends to attack places with low resistance. A study on organ inferiority by Adler shows the connection between organ inferiority and fate in life. This study also show genetics is a factor which means they are transmissible and certain organ problems can be traced through generations. Organ inferiorities constitute a burden on the organism. Self assertion is bound to affect the inferior organs more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Theatre Tradition In The Renaissance Theatre Theatre Tradition: English Renaissance Theatre The Renaissance as we all know and have learnt is defined as the cultural rebirth that occurred in Europe from the fourteenth century to the middle of the seventeenth century. Elizabethan Inns were always popular. Not only did they provide alcohol but they also provided rooms and lodgings for the Elizabethan traveller. All of these amphitheatres consisted of a large open space in which the audience would stand. This open space was called the pit and was meant for those people who couldn t afford a proper seat within the theatre itself, this would usually cost only one penny. These audience members were called the understanders as they were not as educated and high class. Behind the understanders would be three rings of galleries, one above the other, each nine or ten feet high, where the people were prepared to pay a little more for a better seat and cushions. For the upper class there were special seats, or rooms called the lords rooms which were positioned above the entrances of the stage. Even though the seats were poor for watching the play itself they were mainly to show the others their privilege. The stage itself was a proscenium arch stage, putting the scenes into a pictorial frame allowing the audience to have a clear perspective of where to look at. Restoration theatres came into existence in 1660. The picture frame stage is the basis of most modern staging and certainly the model for all cinema and television ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Love And Madness In The Duchess Of Malfi Webster s The Duchess of Malfi (1608) a tragedy of love and madness. Webster is interested in exploring the connection between love and mad jealousy by locating the homicidal jealousy in a brother yearning for his sister, he compounds our awareness of the dark side of sexual desire, and the potential for specific types of love to explode into violence. In Ferdinand, Webster presents us with another form of forbidden love and enables us to explore the relationship between love and death from the perspective of the villain. Once Ferdinand hears of his sister s marriage to Antonio he raves Methinks I see her laughing excellent hyena! Talk to me somewhat, quickly, or my imagination will carry me to see her in the shameful act of sin The madness of Ferdinand s behavior toward his sister has led a lot of people to conclude that he actually has incestuous feeling for her and he doesn t want his family legacy to be transferred to this low birth and gives him new social identity as her husband. But when duchess first proposes to Antonio he says Ambition, madam, is a great man s madness (1.1.412) which shows that Antonio is not interested of getting social identity. • 7. Different Aspects That Go Into Making A Business... There are many different aspects that go into making a business successful. Businesses need a strong vision, great leaders within the organization, strong sales, a successful sales team, a steady stream of revenue as well as a way to produce the revenue or sales coming in. Two important aspects of business that are not always brought up, is profit and the cost to operate the organization. Often times managers only look at the net profit or net revenue on their Profit and Loss statements without breaking down the numbers or cost of doing business. Even if an organization is successful and has a great profit margin at the end of the month, quarter or year, does not mean they do not need to analyze the cost of the operations. Analyzing those costs cannot only help an organization become profitable, when they are unprofitable, but can make them more profitable even if they show a healthy profit. Finding ways to cut cost or become more efficient with the operations can lead an organization in the right direction when it comes to their finances (Ahmed, S., 2016). When small businesses are involved they need to pay close attention to their cost and controlling their cost. Profit planning is one way to manage cost and use the budget to create ways for the managers to recognize how to work cheaper and more efficiently. One small miss step with over purchasing or overages on production time or inventory can cost a small business money, when this happens it can directly affect their ... • 9. Report On Chemical Composition And Structure Of Csh CE 2020: Construction Materials Report on Chemical composition and Structure of CSH Arjit Soni ES13B1005 Introduction: The C S H gel is the most abundant reaction product in cement, occupying about half of the paste volume, it is also responsible for most of the properties of cement paste. This is just not because it is a strong or stable phase but because it forms a continuous layer that binds the cement particles together. All the other hydration products of cement form discrete crystals that are naturally strong but do not have good connections to the solid phases they are in contact with hence cannot contribute much to the overall strength of the cement paste. C S H gel gets the ability of the to act as a binding phase from its nanometer level structure. As C S H gel grows outward from the cement particles, it does not form a single large block or monolithic solid phase but instead develops a complex internal system of tiny pores, called gel pores. Gel pores are hundreds or thousands of times smaller than the original capillary pores which are relatively large. The liquid water present in the gel pores is not part of the solid C S H phase chemically but it is physically isolated, thus it cannot undergo any further chemical reaction with the cement. When hydrated cement paste is observed under microscope at moderate level of magnification, we could see two apparently different types of C S H gel. One of these gel is less dense and more porous that appears to occupy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. The New Image Of The Tories Most importantly, this reform successfully built the new image of the Tories, which humanized Thatcherite ruthless policies and make the Tories electable for another term. The European issue was the most problematic issue throughout Major s governance. Polarized opinions divided not only the country, the Tories, but the cabinet itself. Major failed to manage the government to run effectively on European issues as the government motion had been opposed in parliament (Bale,2011; Cowley and Garry,1998). Yet, he successfully shifted the attitude of United Kingdom towards Europe from Thatcherite ultra sceptic perspective or Labour s Europhile perspective to somewhere in between while keeping in the European Community in order to gain ... His premiership style, along with his ability on managing foreign affairs, were highly praised by American President George Bush, as his accountability and his stress on cabinet consensus (Hennessey,2001, pp.441 443). Without Major s administration, Thatcher may have made the situation worse by chaotic organization and communication within relative personals. When Major first stepped in as the Prime Minister, the election is only 18 months ahead. Worse, his predecessor was hugely unpopular with the government, the morale of the Tories was low as losing a bunch of safe seat by election and electorates were tired on another term of ruthless Thatcherite rule. To handle that, Major decided to run the electoral campaign in a different way. He built up a cabinet based on their ability, not ideological preference, which including Hurd and Heseltine, his competitors in leader election, hoping to unite the certain Conservative voters (Bale,2011). At the same time, Lamont s pre election budget, which cutting the bottom of the income tax, tried to pull swing voters to the Conservatives (Marr,2007, pp.484 487). • 12. Visual Acuity Research Paper What is visual acuity? Visual acuity is commonly referred to as the clarity of vision and is dependent on both optical and neural factors, such as the sharpness of the retinal focus in the eye, the health of the retina, and the sensitivity of the brain. One aspect of visual acuity is the ability of recognizing and discriminating the colours of the visible spectrum of light. There are two types of cells involved in vision: rod cells and cone cells. Rod cells are highly sensitive cells that allow for low acuity vision in dim lit environments, however they lack the detail and colour information. Cone cells are high acuity cells that provide colour information in well lit environments. Rod cells provide more convergence than the cone cells which results in their increased sensitivity but also results in the decreased acuity. Physiology behind differences in visual acuity in men vs women It is generally believed that woman have higher discriminatory abilities with respect to naming of colours, which often implies they have superior colour vision. • 20. Comparing Sexuality in Grey s Riders of the Purple Sage... Sexuality of the Frontierswoman in Grey s Riders of the Purple Sage and Doctorow s Welcome to Hard Times The presentation of femininity in Doctorow s Welcome to Hard Times is a strong departure from the heroine of Zane Grey s Riders of the Purple Sage. Through the metaphor of the gun as the embodiment of masculinity, both authors closely examine the complexities of the sexualized relationship of a frontierswoman to the men of her society. Doctorow mirrors the tensions present in Grey s novel though Molly acts as an extraordinarily different vision of what the West required of a woman than Jane Withersteen. Both novels reach a sexual climax as the heroine engages the men of her society in a violent action of blood and birth. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The book opens with the failure of Blue s manhood. He, bearing the title of Mayor, failed to have both the courage and the skill to protect the town, especially the women, from the Bad Man. Molly mocks his failure even as she watches Blue fill the cylinders of [his] gun : Christ that Bad Man s the only man in town!...I can t believe it...using a lady, for Godsake, marching brave behind a lady s skirts (Doctorow 16). This moment, with Blue symbolically taking up his manhood and with Molly simultaneously deriding his status as a man, encompasses much of the tension between the failed masculinity of the citizens of Hard Times and their feminine counterparts. Ultimately, Blue s gun fails him and he is saved from the Bad Man s superior skill and ruthlessness only by Molly s struggling and pulling (19). Doctorow s portrayal of failed masculinity as the founding sin of Hard Times contrasts strongly with the more traditional Western. Zane Grey s Riders of the Purple Sage is a close parallel in many ways to the opening of Welcome to Hard Times. The scene opens with the Bad Man of the piece, Tull, preparing to whip Venters. Venters failure to defend himself comes as a result of surrendering his guns to Jane s safekeeping. This symbolic castration leaves him at the mercy of the other men, and leaving him behind a lady s skirts (Doctorow 16). The American Nightmare The American Nightmare It was an extraordinary gift for hope, a romantic readiness such as I have never found in any other person and which it is not likely I shall ever find again (Fitzgerald 6). In The Great Gatsby, the narrator, Nick Carraway, was describing his neighbor s goal of marrying a woman named Daisy. Gatsby, however, did not realize the futility of his dream which ended up costing him his life. The Great Gatsby was written by Fitzgerald in 1925 and takes place in the summer of 1922. The belief that anyone could get rich through hard work was still alive at the time and is evident in the novel as both Gatsby and Carraway are newly rich characters. Fitzgerald himself grew up in a well off family, similar to Carraway. Later on, Fitzgerald joined the Army during World War I, as did Gatsby and Carraway. Gatsby was a successful officer in the Army when he met a woman named Daisy who would then be the only concern in his life. Carraway was a somewhat successful bond salesman who lived next door to Gatsby and liked to believe he was a fair and honest man. Daisy was a woman who, in simple terms, was a gold digger. Daisy s only concern was to stay in the upper class, so she married a rich man instead of Gatsby, which crushed his dream. • 23. Greatest Conceivable Being Research Paper There are many ways to go about justifying a belief in the Greatest Conceivable Being. There are numerous disputes to argue a theistic position, but there are also many fallacies that people use in an unjustified way to prove the existence of God. Using strong evidence mainly from the cosmological argument, the theory that everything happens as a cause of something before it leading all the way back to a first existence, and the argument of design, stating that the complexity of nature could only be explained by a sentient designer, a Greatest Conceivable Being must exist. The cosmological argument discusses the idea that everything is an effect of a cause. Everything happens due to something else, and all of that had to have begun somewhere at sometime. If you go back all the way to the beginning of time and the commencement of the universe, something had to have happened to caused for this to occur. This is what is believed to be the work of a Greatest Conceivable Being. Everything in the world that exists, exists because something else caused it, including the world itself. Although both ancient Romans and Greeks are recognized for their innovations in architecture having both constructed a variety of buildings and structures that can still be appreciated today, they appear to have concentrated mostly on the creation of temples which at first sight seem similar but in reality they each diverged and had their own identity and served for different purposes. Ancient Greek and Roman temples were both similarly built to carry out religious or spiritual happenings, and for the adoration of their gods who were believed to protect and sustain their own community. Compared to the Romans, the purpose of building the Greeks temples originated with the idea of constructing a sacred precinct as a home for their gods which was represented by a colossal cult image placed in an inner chamber called naos or cella .
