The marble sculpture of Kritios Boy from Greece, ca. 480 BCE marks an influential point of stylistic
evolution. In contrast to Khafre Enthroned, The Kritios Boy was created for a public audience. The
Kritios Boy s standing pose represents a freedom in his figure that divorces the solidity of the stiffly
seated Khafre. Rather than emanating timelessness, this naturalistic sculpture seems to capture a
specific moment in time. Mirroring a normal human stance of balance and weight shift onto one leg,
his stature is contrapposto. Furthermore, the Kritios Boy s physical composition maintains a smooth
contour to his natural musculature. His head is slightly turned with hair that seems to fall effortlessly
in place. He is completely naked, wearing only a relaxed expression on his face. With no indication of
identity, the Kritios Boy exemplifies naturalism in Greek drive to order to analyze form into
constituent parts and represent the specific in light of the generic. The figure sculptures of Khafre
Enthroned and Kritios Boy exhibit a start and end point in an evolution of artistic technique. Although

Nik Christensen and Dominic McGill have influenced my art , being tremendously closely related to
my art works. Christensen sees his works as a trailer of a total story , which I decided to use this idea
on my art works , drawing a scene from my life explaining my emotions. McGill genre she sticks to is
paradigm of political discourse. She does not refer to the future but more about the past , political and
events. Her artwork a man is wolf to man , with the organic motions of a swirl , discerning how our
world is spinning into a spiral with all the mistakes being made. This closely influencing my work ,
with me walking into a spiraling future.

Low birth weight (LBW) is a term used to describe infants that are born under 2, 500 grams, or less
than five pounds eight ounces. This is a disorder that plagues certain races, age groups, and the poor.
Seven percent of all infants who are born in the United States are born too small and eleven percent
are born too soon ( Behrman). There are many risk factors that put a mother at risk of having a low
birth weight baby, as there are many complications early and later in life for the child.
There are certain women who are more likely to have a child who is born extremely under weight.

The environment of a woman during her pregnancy directly relates to the size of the baby at birth.
Families living in poor income families have a greater number of LBW children. Women who are
involved in abusive relationships are also putting there unborn children at risk. This doesn t only
include physical abuse, but mental also. Women who are in stressful relationships or environments are
more likely to give birth to low birth weight children (LBW At a Glance).
There are a few things that a woman can do to decrease the risk. The first is to stop smoking, this is
the leading cause of LBW. A healthy diet and exercise are also important. Prenatal care is important in
all pregnancies. Prenatal care has not been directly linked to preventing LBW, however, it doesn t hurt.
There are so many problems that can occur when dealing with a LBW child. These babies are much
more susceptible to infection because of their size (Zaichkin 191). They are also at a greater risk for
SIDS. SIDS is sudden infant death syndrome. The risk of this horrible syndrome is much greater with
a low birth weight child (322). These children are also at a thirty to fifty percent greater risk of being
re hospitalized during their first year of life (355). They are also at a much higher risk of getting
Cerebral Palsy.
These children are much more likely to have brain damage, liver problems, and lung difficulties

The Culture Of The Italian Culture
The Description The cultural group I decided to gain more insight on through this experience was the
Italian culture. Explain history and describe! The immersion experiences in which I participated were
great opportunities to learn about the culture in more depth. The first experience I was able to attend
was on June 13, 2015. In downtown Indianapolis Indiana, I had the opportunity to attend the Italian
Culture Festival. Organized each year by the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, this festival was full of
music, cultural food, and I was lucky enough to experience a traditional Italian religious procession
and Mass (Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2015). The festival was packed with people from the city
and from the Italian culture. I had never experienced a festival such as the one held in Indianapolis.
Being from the east coast and not of the Italian culture, the festival was a refreshing yet,
uncomfortable experience at times. I observed a traditional dance, the tarantella and those around the
area all seemed to know most of the steps or the words to some of the songs in the set they played.
The locals tried to get me to dance along but, I could not keep up with them on the fly. The tarantella
is one of the most famous of Italian dances and performers dance quickly to an upbeat song (Holy
Rosary Catholic Church, 2015). It is said that the performers sweat out the poison of a deadly tarantula
and the dance could last for hours and could be religious in nature to some.

What if one of the people that took me aside in country B would come to my country and he would be
considered as a slave? Under the ethical theory known as the Veil of Ignorance , every person in
society has the right to equal freedom. Also if there is an inequality in society, it must be to everyone s
