Rei Pov Monologue
Next Morning Rei POV: I woke up to the sun filling my room with light. I sat up and stretched my
arms above my head. I yawned wiping the sleep from my eyes. Thinking of yesterdays events my face
flushed once more. That damn mercenary! He got a reaction out of me. I furrow my eyebrows together
in vexation. I won t allow him to tease me like that again. I sighed, remembering he was now personal
bodyguard and I silently curse my father for insisting I have one. Now I m stuck with him until they
defeat the men from the west.. great. I shaking my head, I clench my hand with determination. I ll
show him his advances towards me are fruitless! I sprang up out of bed, my new resolve in mind and
made my way to the washroom so I can proceed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After a minute a lady comes to take my order I get a plate of dango, onigiri and green tea. As I m
waiting for my food, I m greeted by a familiar voice. I turn around and see Ikki. Good afternoon
Princess Rei. He gives me an irrsistable smile. Mind if I join you? He asks. Of course not! Please sit. I
smile back at him. Ikki is quite a handsome man. He is the head general of my fathers army at the
young age of nineteen. He s the most powerful man in our ranks. Power is pretty sexy don t you think?
To be honest I have a bit of a crush on him and I think he feels the same about me. With the looks he
has it would be hard for any person to resist his charm. I blush, as I drink up his appearance. He is tall
with a muscular build, short, shaggy, dark brown hair that falls in his eyes a bit, and emerald green
irises with a scar going over his left eye. Instead of wearing is usual armor, he is dressed in a red
yukata with black designs embroidering it s hem, his toned chest was exposed, and a white sash is tied
around his waist, his sword tucked into it. Ikki sits across from me and says in an alluring voice You

1. Provide a statement on the type of materials to be used to construct the fence.
2. Identify the location and height of the proposed fence.
3. No fence post shall be placed in a wetland or surface water body.

all wetlands and poorly and very poorly drained soils (including wetland flag numbers), wetland

who did the original delineation should reconfirm the accuracy of the boundaries in writing as part of

any wetlands delineation.

OA Reflective Essay
Share with us your clinical experience of working with a patient using DMOADs
(viscosupplementation or Glucosamine and chondroitin). Please support or discount their use with
additional research and discuss. Osteoarthritis (OA) is a prevalent cause of chronic joint pain and
disability in the older adult. It commonly affects the knee resulting in the deterioration and injury of
the articular cartilage inducing joint pain, limitation of movement and reduction in the quality of life.
OA s financial burden is high, and treatment is directed towards alleviating pain. Conventional
medicines such as non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), including cyclooxygenase 2
inhibitors have adverse effects that can contribute to a serious medical condition. Nonetheless, there is
an alternative dietary supplement that can be used that claims to ease OA pain; these Nutraceuticals

Western Ontario and McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) that quantify pain.
Durmus, Alayli, Bayrak, and Canturk (2012, p. 277) pointed out that WOMAC is a self reporting tool

investigation of participants with moderate severe pain at baseline, and their results did imply
denotative benefit from the amalgamation of GS and CS

Understanding Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder
The newest edition of the American Psychiatric Association s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of
Mental Disorders again included Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) in the list of Depressive
Disorders (2013). In this paper, I argue from a feminist perspective that the presence of PMDD in the
DSM combines the stigma attached to both menstruation and mental illness, in order to shame any
woman who is not fulfilling the expected role of passive and accepting mother or wife. Additionally,
the DSM s false assertion that PMDD is not culturally tied forces the North American expectations of
womanhood onto people in different parts of the world.
Understanding Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder
Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder was most recently reviewed and confirmed by a work group
consisting of ten men to a mere four women (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). The disorder
consists of both affective (irritability and anxiety) and physical changes (lethargy and hypersomnia)
that a woman experiences during the week before most of her periods of menses (American
Psychiatric Association, 2013, p.172). The DSM provides examples of social impairment that a
woman suffering from PMDD might experience; they pertain to marital discord and problems with
children (American Psychiatric Association, 2013, p.174). One international study of young women in
Poland shows research findings suggesting that women living in large cities are at a higher risk of
acquiring PMDD (Drosdzol,

Summary Of Charlotte Perkins Stetson s The Yellow Wallpaper
In the year 1892, Charlotte Perkins Stetson wrote a short story called The Yellow Wallpaper. During
the time Stetson wrote the story, some women were suffering from depression or extreme cases of
nervousness. These women would see a neurologist or a psychiatrist who would prescribe them with
the rest cure. The rest cure was a regimen of forced bed rest, restricted diet, and a combination of
massage and electrical muscle stimulation in place of exercise. (Harris) Stetson herself suffered from
depression. She received help from the famous neurologist S. Weir Mitchell, the inventor of the rest
cure, who prescribed her with the rest cure to take care of her depression. The Yellow Wallpaper, a
narrative about the rest cure, explains how confinement can lead to insanity through symbolism,
characterization, and imagery. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A contributing factor is the narrator s husband. He first tells her not to be around people and also tells
her not to do anything that would wear her out. Something the narrator loves to do is write, but her
husband says she can t because it would tire her. However, what her husband doesn t know is that she
writes in secret when he is not home. This is one of the many issues she has to hide from her husband.
She also has to hide when she is angry with him. The narrator says, But John says if I feel so, I shall
neglect proper self control; so I take pains to control myself before him, at least, and that makes me
very tired. (Stetson 648) Her husband symbolizes the confinement of the narrator s personality. She

How Fate and Free Will Play a Part in the Odyssey
How Fate and Free Will Play a Part in The Odyssey
Fate and free will are epic subjects in life. When we cannot control something we blame it on fate, but
we try to change the way things are with our free will. Fate is something unknown that determines
what will happen. It may seem like a coincidence or may feel like an omen, but it is something no
person controls for oneself. Fate, to some, may be in the hands of a higher power such as gods or God.
For others fate is merely something that happened they were unable to control. Fate can be looked at
like a book for every person. In it are all the events that are going to happen in your life. However you
use free will to maneuver through these planned events. Free will is something ... Show more content

He tricks the Cyclops and stabs him in the eye with an olive tree,, and tells him that his name is
Nohbdy. It was fate that brought him to Circe s island, but in this case it was quite a good thing. He
used his knowledge to save his men from her magic, and cleverly had her swear that he would not
play any tricks. He is there for a couple of years and before leaving is told of the dangers awaiting
him, and what he must do to make it home alive. He learns he must first go to the underworld and see
Tiresias, who will give him instructions about returning home. Then Odysseus must get past the Sirens
and Scylla. He follows Circe s instructions and puts beeswax in the mens ears and has them tie him to
the mast, so they will not be lured to there deaths by the Sirens. However he does not follow her
orders to flee from Scylla. Instead he wished to try fight. This is an example of him using his free will
instead of choosing the fate that possibly Circe has already prepared. In this instance it turns out for
the worst and he loses all his men. Fate is something we have no control over. It can be what
determines the death of a child or marriage of a couple. Fate is very controversial. If everything that
happens is planned ahead it contradicts many things, one being religion. If it was fate that Adam and
Eve ate the forbidden fruit then the original sin would not be the fault of man, but of God for he would
be the one who made Adam and Eve do it. It is something no one can

Pros And Cons Of Plea Bargain
Plea Bargain Pros and Cons
Introduction
The criminal justice system is in constant demands of a lot of logistics and resources to maintain its
functionality. Many of these come with the high price of trying accused persons. Nevertheless, there
has been a long established common law component that affords the accused to cop out in return for a
reduce sentence. A plea bargain is an agreement by the defendant to plead guilty to charges in
exchange for something of benefit to them. (Hayden, 2017, p. 377). Thus, a person who is alleged to
have committed a specific crime is able to plead guilty and get a lighter sentence. At face value, it
appears to be a good thing that produces a win win situation for the criminal justice system as well as

The Matrix, By The Wachowski Brothers
Art has always been, and always will be, our most instinctual way of producing visual adaptions of
our inner fantasies. Imaginings that are based on what is real, but appear to belong to another place
entirely. One of the most engaging of art forms in which we do this, is film. Its ability to recreate the
impossibilities of our imagination, in a way that is realistic and believable, is one that is hard to
replace within the genres of science fiction and fantasy. A classic example of such a film is The Matrix
a science fiction masterpiece directed by The Wachowski Brothers. Released in 1999, the film has an
extreme amount of depth not only in its storyline, but in its innovative use of visual effects and
camerawork. Therefore in this essay I have decided to critically examine the underlying thematic
content of The Matrix , and the way in which the use of visual effects and cinematography contributed
to the execution of its intricate dystopian narrative, and the themes present within it.
Advances in technology have allowed filmmakers to produce more and more works based within the
setting of fantasy and reality, coexisting with each other. And often, as it is in The Matrix , reflecting
back on each other. One of the themes within The Matrix that relates to this element, is this idea of the
blurring lines between what is man and what is machine . The film clearly presents humans and
machines on opposing sides of an ongoing battle for life, yet throughout the film we are

Antigone Vs Duccio
The most important difference between Maestà and Antigone is the message that each portrays to
society. Duccio di Buoninsegna s series of individualized paintings depicting the Virgin Mary display
her as a central figure that is respected and possibly worshiped by both men and women. Sophocles
play on the other hand displays female oppression through his main character and the lack of
dedication to religion by men. I think this is an important difference because each work of art exposes
the beliefs that each artist conveys about their individualized society. Even though there are many
distinctions between Duccio s Maestà and Sophocles Antigone, I believe that the most important
difference is the message that each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For starters, Antigone was created in 441 BCE Athens, a city state in Ancient Greece, where the only
thing more powerful than a man s pride in Athens political system was preserving their egos. During
this time, it was evident that the women were firmly wedged underneath the thumb of Athenian men.
The playwright s tragedy encompasses this several times through his characters. He writes, As far as
she s concerned, we bear no guilt. But she s lost her place living here with us, (Sophocles Excerpt 4).
In this quote Antigone s uncle, King Creon ostracizes his niece because she disobeyed his demands
when she performed a burial custom for her brother, Polyneices. This quote assists in proving that one
of the major messages of Sophocles play is the domination of Athenian men over women. During
Sophocles life, Athenian females were not able to attend the plays, defend themselves in court, choose
who they would marry, or spend their money freely. This idea was reinforced in his play by showing
the harshness of Antigone s treatment by King Creon, exhibiting that females were not equal and
certainly did not have the same liberties as men did. The

The Senate Should Be Abolished Of The Senate
The Senate plays a key role in tandem with the House of Commons, in the operation of Canada s
government, some people think that the Senate should be abolished; however without the Senate, The
right to bear arms could become true for Canada. The Senate should be reformed; abolishing or
keeping the Senate at its current state would be unjust. The current Senate is not elected, effective, nor
equal. If the Senate is kept at its current state, it will continue to operate fine, however the Senate can
be much more effective at what it does if it gets amended. Currently the Senate is not elected, equal,
nor efficient. People who comprise the Senate are selected by the governor general on the advice of
the Prime Minister, so those selected most likely will act in good intention towards the Prime Minister.
The Senate, unlike the House was designed to represent Canada s regions, however it over represents
some provinces at the expense of others. For example currently, Quebec and Ontario each have 24
seats, the same amount of seats as the four Western provinces as a whole. Atlantic Canada, with a
mere 7% of the population, holds a unproportional 29% of the seats. Canadians deserve laws that are
fair and free of errors, and the Senate contributes to that. The Senate s job is to foster national unity,
however currently they act in the interest of themselves and the Prime Minister rather than in the
interest of the people.
Abolishing the Senate is country suicide. If there is a

How Tornadoes Happen
Each year about a thousand tornadoes hit the United States, much more than any other country.
Tornadoes are very dangerous in multiple ways! A tornado is a spinning cloud that has a funnel shape.
They can have very rapid and high wind speeds. They sound very powerful! A tornado is made up of
many factors. This paper will discuss where most tornadoes occur. How a tornado forms. The various
wind speeds of a tornado. Last but not least, the sound of tornadoes.
Most tornadoes occur in Tornado Alley. This is just East of the rocky mountains. Tornado Alley is a
name given to the Southern Plains because many tornadoes happen in that area. (Stormware, 9/12/15).
States like Oklahoma, and Missouri are in Tornado Alley. Many serious tornadoes happen in Tornado
Alley. One of the most frightening tornadoes was in Oklahoma in 2011. Although, most tornadoes
happen in tornado alley, they can happen in all states of the United States. Usually tornadoes move
Southwest to Northeast, but can move in any direction. Tornadoes happen where winds at tall levels of
the atmosphere are developing in height as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The average wind speed is about 100 miles per hour. Some tornadoes can get up to 300 miles per hour.
Tornadoes turn in a clockwise direction. A fact that shows that tornadoes are very fast is that debris
has been found 130 kilometers away from the actual tornado. (Aniss, 2013). One of the fastest
tornadoes ever was going 318 miles per hour in Oklahoma in 1999. (Bryan, 2014). An average
forward speed of a tornado is 30 miles per hour, but may vary up to 70 miles per hour. (Stormware,
9/12/15). The speeds of tornadoes are measured using a tool called the EF scale. Tornadoes are very
dangerous because they move so fast. People typically have little or no warning that they are coming.
Many tornadoes bring winds that are so powerful that they destroy everything they touch. This
includes homes, buildings, farms, cars, animals, and

the opinion.
WesternGeco LLC sued ION Geophysical for infringement of several U.S. patents covering an oil
deposit surveying device. A jury found infringement and no invalidity on all asserted claims and
awarded $93.4 million in lost profits and $12.5 million in reasonable royalties. The lost profits were,
in part, based on the loss of surveying contracts outside of the US. WesternGeco manufactures the
patented device, but does not sell it. Instead, WesternGeco uses it to perform surveys for oil and gas
companies. ION Geophysical, in contrast, sold the patented device to competitors of WesternGeco.
WesternGeco successfully argued that its damages included $90 million of lost profits it would have
earned if it had won surveying contracts that were ultimately awarded to ION s customers for
surveying in international waters.
ION appealed the jury verdict, arguing that WesternGeco was not the owner of the asserted patents,
that the trial court made several errors related to its grant of summary judgment of infringement of one
patent claim, and that lost profits were incorrectly awarded for activities outside the U.S. WesternGeco

Causes Of The Great Railroad Strike Of 1877
The Great Railroad strike of 1877 led to many problems this strike, also referred to as the Great
Upheaval, which began in July in a town named Martinsburg, West Virginia, the railroad strike ended
forty five days after locals, state militias and federal troops shut it down. The goals of the railroad
strike were for a wage increase. The workers of the railroad were not represented by labor unions,
which mad the workers angry therefore several cities started to build armories to support their militias
to avoid any problems. There were many causes of the strike, one was that the civil war ended and a
boom in railroad construction ensued about 55,000 of new tracks being laid between the years 1866
and 1873. In 1873, the Wake of the panic developed between workers and leaders. As immigration
from Europe was underway, the railroad jobs were increasing and it became a competition, which
enables companies to drive down the wages and lay off their workers. Speculators fed large amounts
of money into the railroad industry causing an abnormal growth (en.wikipedia.org).
This was the country s first railroad strike in nation s history as well as the first general strike. Strikes
and violence spawned briefly, paralyzed the country s commerce, and led the governors in ten states to
mobilize militias to reopen rail traffic. Northern railroads were stills struggling from the Financial
Panic of 1873, which led to cutting salaries and cutting wages. Another thing is cutbacks promoted

Advertisement Analysis Of Advertisement
Healthy living is a common goal for many individuals in today s society. Many individuals state that
the motive behind healthy living is to maintain their outward physical appearance; however, not as
much do individuals state that the reason for their healthy living is to maintain their inward physical
appearance, such as the health of major bodily organs. Eating healthy is vital to keeping bodily organs
functioning properly, and the advertisement, created by Fortis, portrays this. The advertisement tries to
encourage the audience to live a healthy lifestyle by making the decision to eat healthy from the use of
the emotional appeal in the text, and the connection between broccoli and kidneys in the picture.
These two techniques combine to make it easier to convince the viewer to eat healthy.
Before trying to understand the purpose of this advertisement, it s best to observe the creator of the
advertisement. As denoted by the emblem towards the bottom of the advertisement, it was created by a
healthcare company in India, named Fortis. Fortis is known internationally as one of the top medical
institutions in the world. By Fortis being a healthcare company, they often preach about making
healthy lifestyle choices. From their track record on encouraging the public to stay healthy, it is
expected that the motivation behind this advertisement is to do the same. The other emblem on the
bottom of advertisement shows that it was released on or around World Kidney Day. World Kidney

Dispersed, highly competitive hotel industry
The company is facing fierce competition both as accommodation operators and as a franchiser. US
housing market is highly crowded with several key players. These operators were originally a private

Marriott wondered what he should recommend to the board of directors regarding Project Chariot. He
had seen assured by legal counsel that the corporate was within its rights as a debtor to restructure
itself in this way. Investment advisor had given him an opinion that the transaction was in the best

The water budgets of Berkeley, Ca., and Terre Haute, In., are greatly affected by their respective
geographies, topographies, climates and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Terre Haute lies in an area described as a humid, subtropical climate, a Cfa on the Koppen Letter Code
System. This area is a mild, mid latitude climate characterized by warm to hot summers, precipitation
with a summer maximum, and mild winter temperatures. Both Berkeley and Terre Haute lie within
relatively the same latitudes, however, Berkeley lies in an area stabilized by the poleward migration of
the subtropical high and relatively cool water of the Pacific Ocean (Hess, 2013). This brings dry
weather to Berkeley. Terre Haute, however, does not benefit from this stability, and continues to
experience precipitation throughout the summer months. In the areas of the Eastern United States, this
effect is also contributed to by the influence of tropical cyclones.
Berkeley, according to www.usclimatedata.com, has its highest precipitation levels during December
thru February, which is typical of Csa climates (Hess, 2013). This peak of rainfall that is unbalanced
with a typical increase of water demand during summer greatly stresses the water budget, and can
result in a sever water deficit during summer months. Californians struggled with this through the
summer of 2014, and according to an article by National Geographic, California will struggle with a
water deficit of the amount necessary to provide water to 1.5 million homes. This is not only due to
the climate of the region, but as it specifically applies to Berkeley,

Romanticism In Pride And Prejudice
Despite its name, Romantic, the Romantic age had only a few things that was related to the real
meaning of romance known now, however, love had been the main subject of most of the age s art.
The age was actually a great achievement of art and philosophy that resulted in the western societies
to change the way they thought about themselves and their surroundings as mentioned in the article
Romanticism Adapted from A Guide to the Study of Literature. Differing from the classical age the
romantic age has given artists of that period more freedom and creation. Music for instance was of
great value in terms of the way it expresses. Composers of the age used music along with freedom in
expression to express nationalism and hence proving their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the most important artists that appeared was the great Jane Austen an English novelist of
romance based fiction. One of Jane Austen s great writings was the novel Pride and Prejudice . The
novel was based on the idea of marriage and how it was affected by the society. A major idea that was
shown in Jane s novel was the idea behind how certain physical appearances really hid how a person s
real character is. It is clearly shown in the way Elizabeth was misguided with Mr. Darcy s and Mr.
Wickham s appearance on how their Internal character really is as mentioned in the article Pride and
Prejudice: Appearance vs. Reality . By the time most of the novel s events are over Elizabeth comes to
a decision that her primary impact on both Mr. Darcy and Mr. Wickham were incorrect. Jane Austen
clearly concludes on her novel that appearance often tricks how people judge one s real character.
Jane Austen shows romanticism in pride and prejudice through the concept of marriage. in Pride and
Prejudice, we can see that Jane Austen, besides of mainly concentrating on modeling the characters
Elizabeth and Darcy and portraying the complicated love and marriage between them; also pays much
attention to depicting many other roles and three other marriages. In each of these marriages,
properties, status, love, beautiful appearance exert different influence and these four marriages are
combinations for profit, for moral, for lust and for

How Do Substances Affect The Freezing Point Of Ice
Danis Heto Have you ever wondered that if you put ice into a drink, the substances in the drink will
make it melt faster. This is exactly the case, I will be seeing how the substances that we use in our
everyday life affect the melting point of ice. I will be looking at what causes the freezing point
depression, how substances affect the freezing point of ice, and the purposes of changing the freezing
point of ice. The melting point of ice is the given temperature that a substance will melt, and by
lowering this it makes the ice melt quicker. By learning this you can understand which substance to
use to melt the ice off of your sidewalk, or even when making homemade ice cream. Freezing point
depression is a property in solutions that happens

The, Suspense, And The Unknown Essay
Detective novels of the mystery genre have always been fraught with terror, suspense, and the
unknown. Normally those such novels are subject to the public eye under the scrutiny of just how
much of it is real or simply superstition and science fiction just sensational writing. Sensational
writing in and of itself is not supposed to be thought provoking to the reader, but instead plays off the
reader s baser emotions that center around adrenaline like fear and excitement. While A Study in
Scarlet, by essence of being a detective novel, is still considered sensational writing, it brought a level
of subtleness to the sensationalism that evoked a deeper response in the readers. One particular event
where the sensationalism was extremely downplayed was the murder itself in the novel. For the police
detective Gregson and Lestrade, their biggest question at the scene of the crime was not really who
murdered but how he murdered as there was not any noticeable blood or wounds on the victim.
Lestrade even goes so far as to remark, This case will make a stir, sir...It beats anything I have seen,
and I am no chicken (Doyle 25). The unusual circumstances of the death cause the reader to think
deeper about how the victim could have possibly died, subtly ensnaring the reader to be even further
interested. Fear of the unknown is the greatest thing subtly sensationalism can do since it can evoke a
greater response in a few words than what pages of grotesque description can do. If Doyle

Introduction. The Importance Of Communication Is The Needed
Introduction
The importance of communication is the needed basis in nursing practice. Communication is often
dependent on the verbal and nonverbal communication (Marshall Stevens, 2015). Also behavioural
along with speech aspects, skilled transfer with receiving of the nurse patient information starts
productive relationships or defiantly, it develops significant repercussions if used in an improper way.
This essay will converse the importance of verbal with non verbal communication in establishing and
maintaining a therapeutic relationship between a nurse and patient. In this case, a therapeutic
relationship is one which is founded on mutual trust as well as respect, the cultivation of hope and
faith, being kind towards each other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Without a doubt, the verbal communication is very critical in the development of a therapeutic nurse
patient relationship bringing about respect, understanding, sincerity as well as empathy (Marshall
Stevens, 2015).
Non verbal communication
Although it is clear that verbal communication establishes a nurse patient relationship, the non verbal
communication includes the best part of an interpersonal relationship between the two parties. Both
communications have equal importance, but studies show that non verbal aspect of communication is
more efficient than the verbal communication. There are non verbal actions that are seen to be
indispensable in the nursing care, smiling, eye gaze, body position and head nodding; these actions are
well known as body language (DeWit O Neill,2014). It is through cautious deliberation of the
nonverbal actions that nurses are in a position to gain a broad sight to the patient s emotional needs
with their experiences.
For a nurse to show empathy and warm, they ought to make eye contacts with the patients.
Nevertheless, eye contact is a different exemption in non verbal communication. It exposes the hidden
with deep feelings which can never be articulated in any other way which might work out during the
nurse patient connection. For example, Asian and Latin societies, looking people in the eye shows
disrespect while in western culture it

In the data collection phase, the examiner will complete polygraph charts, the charts and questions
will vary depending on different cases. The examiner then analyzes the collected data in the data
analysis phase. The examinee then has the opportunity to explain or rationalize answers to different
questions asked during the exam. Although some may criticize the polygraph tests, advances in
technology, and science improves the polygraph exams. Multiple factors play a key role in the
accuracy of a polygraph, including the experience of the examiner, the obediance of the examinee, and
the way the exam is constructed. It is important to consider body language when interviewing
examinees as well. This includes things that examinees may be saying, how they say it, and when they
say it. One s body does things that it cannot control, both inside and out, which plays an essential role
in exams. When a polygraph test is administered perfectly, and appropriately the accuracy rate is
above ninety percent. On the other hand, false positives on the polygraph exams may happen. A good

The Statehood of Hawaii
On the 21st of August 1959, a small colony of inhabited Polynesian volcanic rock located in the
middle of the Pacific Ocean became the 50th state named Hawai i . Before Hawai i became the 50th
State, foreigners from the United States attempted to annex Hawai i from its people and the Hawaiian
Monarch for political and military gains. It all started as far back as 1893 when Hawai i was ruled by
Hawaiian Kings and Queens. All three attempts at annexation the United States Diplomats and
foreigners failed until 1959 when Hawai i declared Statehood. The United States Government and its
political leaders celebrated along with a small portion of native islanders but sadden and dismayed the
majority of native people felt it s island being stolen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The third attempt at having The Kingdom of Hawai i annexed was a false claim by the United States
declaring Hawai i territory of the United States because it was a Neutral State. The United States
Congress and President McKinley signed into law a Joint Resolution, which they claimed Hawai i
annexed by the United States of America and was now U.S. territory; this claim was a violation of war
between the Hawaiian Kingdom and the United States. The United States claimed due to concern
Hawai i might become part of the European Nation s Empire they needed resolution claiming Hawaii
s Annexation. But Hawai i disputed the claim stating Hawai i could not be annexed thru a Joint
Resolution and that a Joint Resolution is not a treaty; it is a congressional act on behalf of the United
States. The congressional act can only affect U.S. territory and Hawai i was not a U.S. territory or
state to be claimed
Three attempts were made and none were successful, furthermore while the Republic of Hawai i was
making every attempt to annex Hawai i they were caught in the deception, each attempt was being
covered up by other political groups from the United States Government that was in favor of the
annexation. Since the statehood of Hawai i was declared in 1959, many native Hawaiians continue to
protest the annexation of Hawai i and rebut that Hawai i was ever acquired legally by the United
States of America. However the writings and evidence that have

John Stuart Mill s On Liberty
If you submit this paper for a grade without rewriting it yourself in your own words, the wrath of God
will descend upon your head and you will wish that you had never been born. John Stuart Mill was
born in Pentonville in 1806: it is to some extent ironic that Mill would become known as the author of
On Liberty, when his birthplace would become better known as the site of Britain s largest modern
prison. Mill s own life, however, is marked with contradictions. As Mill recounts in his
Autobiography, his father had been part of the intellectual circle around Jeremy Bentham, the
founding figure of Utilitarianism. In an effort to educate his young son according to the most useful
precepts then available, John Stuart Mill as a child was essentially engineered by his father. This
experiment in early child training resulted in Mill being fluent in Latin and Greek by the age of eight,
while at the same time being denied to a certain extent a normal childhood; as Mill writes in his
Autobiography, Of children s books, any more than of playthings, I had scarcely any ¦ In one sense the
elder Mill s educational experiment in curtailing the normal freedoms of childhood for his son was a
success the son grew up to be John Stuart Mill. But they also had the effect of causing Mill to have an
almost complete nervous breakdown in the autumn of 1826, described in the Autobiography in terms
of a philosophical dilemma: he describes the situation in Chapter V of his life story, stating

Difference Between Internal And External Crowdsourcing
According to several scholars (including Villarroel and Reis, 2010; Boudreau and Lakhani, 2013;
Carlson and Wilmot, 2006; Chesbrough, 2006a, 2006b; Byren, 2013; Yap, 2012; Howe, 2006, 2009;
Brabham, 2008b, 2009, 2013), the main difference between internal and external crowdsourcing can
be summarized as follows: i) the internal crowd (employees) is known to the firm; ii) the crowd can be
all employees of the firm, a subsidiary of the firm, or may also include partners and suppliers; iii) the
crowd is specifically used for problem solving or aggregating ideas for innovation purposes; and iv)
the crowd may also be anyone with internet or mobile remote access capable of participating in a
crowdsourcing contest and vote on the ideas of others.
Internal crowdsourcing is easier to implement in companies where social media acceptance is high
(Yap, 2012); crowdsourcing attempts within companies don t measure up to the external crowd
(Boudreau and Lakhani, 2013). Crowdsourcing forms such as idea marketplaces and idea jams lack
the capabilities and fall short to the external crowd s full capacity. Boudreau and Lakhani (2013)
believes employees are discouraged from seeking challenges; Yap (2012) says that internal
crowdsourcing unveil innovations from employees which otherwise would not be captured. Carlson
and Wilmot (2006) emphasizes that every employee does in fact has the ability to innovate, and must
do so for their company to stay competitive. The desire for deeper exploration of

  • 2. Rei Pov Monologue Next Morning Rei POV: I woke up to the sun filling my room with light. I sat up and stretched my arms above my head. I yawned wiping the sleep from my eyes. Thinking of yesterdays events my face flushed once more. That damn mercenary! He got a reaction out of me. I furrow my eyebrows together in vexation. I won t allow him to tease me like that again. I sighed, remembering he was now personal bodyguard and I silently curse my father for insisting I have one. Now I m stuck with him until they defeat the men from the west.. great. I shaking my head, I clench my hand with determination. I ll show him his advances towards me are fruitless! He is the head general of my fathers army at the young age of nineteen. He s the most powerful man in our ranks. Power is pretty sexy don t you think? To be honest I have a bit of a crush on him and I think he feels the same about me. With the looks he has it would be hard for any person to resist his charm. I blush, as I drink up his appearance. He is tall with a muscular build, short, shaggy, dark brown hair that falls in his eyes a bit, and emerald green irises with a scar going over his left eye. Instead of wearing is usual armor, he is dressed in a red yukata with black designs embroidering it s hem, his toned chest was exposed, and a white sash is tied around his waist, his sword tucked into it. • 4. OA Reflective Essay Share with us your clinical experience of working with a patient using DMOADs (viscosupplementation or Glucosamine and chondroitin). Please support or discount their use with additional research and discuss. Osteoarthritis (OA) is a prevalent cause of chronic joint pain and disability in the older adult. It commonly affects the knee resulting in the deterioration and injury of the articular cartilage inducing joint pain, limitation of movement and reduction in the quality of life. OA s financial burden is high, and treatment is directed towards alleviating pain. Conventional medicines such as non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), including cyclooxygenase 2 inhibitors have adverse effects that can contribute to a serious medical condition. Nonetheless, there is an alternative dietary supplement that can be used that claims to ease OA pain; these Nutraceuticals are namely Glucosamine sulfate (GS) and chondroitin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sawitzke et al. (2010, p. 1463) Illustrates the Glucosamine/chondroitin Arthritis Intervention Trial (GAIT) as a tool to examine the outcomes of the dietary supplements; the researchers discovered that Glucosamine is ineffective and shows no benefit compared to placebo particularly when using the Western Ontario and McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) that quantify pain. Durmus, Alayli, Bayrak, and Canturk (2012, p. 277) pointed out that WOMAC is a self reporting tool used to measure lower extremity pain, stiffness and physical function. However the findings of Sawitzke et al., were refuted by Fransen et al. (2013, p. 851) This group conducted an exploratory investigation of participants with moderate severe pain at baseline, and their results did imply denotative benefit from the amalgamation of GS and CS ... • 5. Understanding Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder The newest edition of the American Psychiatric Association s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders again included Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) in the list of Depressive Disorders (2013). In this paper, I argue from a feminist perspective that the presence of PMDD in the DSM combines the stigma attached to both menstruation and mental illness, in order to shame any woman who is not fulfilling the expected role of passive and accepting mother or wife. Additionally, the DSM s false assertion that PMDD is not culturally tied forces the North American expectations of womanhood onto people in different parts of the world. Understanding Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder was most recently reviewed and confirmed by a work group consisting of ten men to a mere four women (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). The disorder consists of both affective (irritability and anxiety) and physical changes (lethargy and hypersomnia) that a woman experiences during the week before most of her periods of menses (American Psychiatric Association, 2013, p.172). The DSM provides examples of social impairment that a woman suffering from PMDD might experience; they pertain to marital discord and problems with children (American Psychiatric Association, 2013, p.174). One international study of young women in Poland shows research findings suggesting that women living in large cities are at a higher risk of acquiring PMDD (Drosdzol, ... • 8. Summary Of Charlotte Perkins Stetson s The Yellow Wallpaper In the year 1892, Charlotte Perkins Stetson wrote a short story called The Yellow Wallpaper. During the time Stetson wrote the story, some women were suffering from depression or extreme cases of nervousness. These women would see a neurologist or a psychiatrist who would prescribe them with the rest cure. The rest cure was a regimen of forced bed rest, restricted diet, and a combination of massage and electrical muscle stimulation in place of exercise. (Harris) Stetson herself suffered from depression. She received help from the famous neurologist S. Weir Mitchell, the inventor of the rest cure, who prescribed her with the rest cure to take care of her depression. The Yellow Wallpaper, a narrative about the rest cure, explains how confinement can lead to insanity through symbolism, characterization, and imagery. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 10. How Fate and Free Will Play a Part in the Odyssey How Fate and Free Will Play a Part in The Odyssey Fate and free will are epic subjects in life. When we cannot control something we blame it on fate, but we try to change the way things are with our free will. Fate is something unknown that determines what will happen. It may seem like a coincidence or may feel like an omen, but it is something no person controls for oneself. Fate, to some, may be in the hands of a higher power such as gods or God. For others fate is merely something that happened they were unable to control. Fate can be looked at like a book for every person. In it are all the events that are going to happen in your life. However you use free will to maneuver through these planned events. Free will is something ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He tricks the Cyclops and stabs him in the eye with an olive tree,, and tells him that his name is Nohbdy. It was fate that brought him to Circe s island, but in this case it was quite a good thing. He used his knowledge to save his men from her magic, and cleverly had her swear that he would not play any tricks. He is there for a couple of years and before leaving is told of the dangers awaiting him, and what he must do to make it home alive. He learns he must first go to the underworld and see Tiresias, who will give him instructions about returning home. Then Odysseus must get past the Sirens and Scylla. He follows Circe s instructions and puts beeswax in the mens ears and has them tie him to the mast, so they will not be lured to there deaths by the Sirens. However he does not follow her orders to flee from Scylla. Instead he wished to try fight. This is an example of him using his free will instead of choosing the fate that possibly Circe has already prepared. In this instance it turns out for the worst and he loses all his men. Fate is something we have no control over. It can be what determines the death of a child or marriage of a couple. Fate is very controversial. If everything that happens is planned ahead it contradicts many things, one being religion. If it was fate that Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit then the original sin would not be the fault of man, but of God for he would be the one who made Adam and Eve do it. • 11. Pros And Cons Of Plea Bargain Plea Bargain Pros and Cons Introduction The criminal justice system is in constant demands of a lot of logistics and resources to maintain its functionality. Many of these come with the high price of trying accused persons. Nevertheless, there has been a long established common law component that affords the accused to cop out in return for a reduce sentence. A plea bargain is an agreement by the defendant to plead guilty to charges in exchange for something of benefit to them. (Hayden, 2017, p. 377). Thus, a person who is alleged to have committed a specific crime is able to plead guilty and get a lighter sentence. At face value, it appears to be a good thing that produces a win win situation for the criminal justice system as well as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. The Matrix, By The Wachowski Brothers Art has always been, and always will be, our most instinctual way of producing visual adaptions of our inner fantasies. Imaginings that are based on what is real, but appear to belong to another place entirely. One of the most engaging of art forms in which we do this, is film. Its ability to recreate the impossibilities of our imagination, in a way that is realistic and believable, is one that is hard to replace within the genres of science fiction and fantasy. A classic example of such a film is The Matrix a science fiction masterpiece directed by The Wachowski Brothers. Released in 1999, the film has an extreme amount of depth not only in its storyline, but in its innovative use of visual effects and camerawork. Therefore in this essay I have decided to critically examine the underlying thematic content of The Matrix , and the way in which the use of visual effects and cinematography contributed to the execution of its intricate dystopian narrative, and the themes present within it. Advances in technology have allowed filmmakers to produce more and more works based within the setting of fantasy and reality, coexisting with each other. And often, as it is in The Matrix , reflecting back on each other. One of the themes within The Matrix that relates to this element, is this idea of the blurring lines between what is man and what is machine . The film clearly presents humans and machines on opposing sides of an ongoing battle for life, yet throughout the film we are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Antigone Vs Duccio The most important difference between Maestà and Antigone is the message that each portrays to society. Duccio di Buoninsegna s series of individualized paintings depicting the Virgin Mary display her as a central figure that is respected and possibly worshiped by both men and women. Sophocles play on the other hand displays female oppression through his main character and the lack of dedication to religion by men. I think this is an important difference because each work of art exposes the beliefs that each artist conveys about their individualized society. Even though there are many distinctions between Duccio s Maestà and Sophocles Antigone, I believe that the most important difference is the message that each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For starters, Antigone was created in 441 BCE Athens, a city state in Ancient Greece, where the only thing more powerful than a man s pride in Athens political system was preserving their egos. During this time, it was evident that the women were firmly wedged underneath the thumb of Athenian men. The playwright s tragedy encompasses this several times through his characters. He writes, As far as she s concerned, we bear no guilt. But she s lost her place living here with us, (Sophocles Excerpt 4). In this quote Antigone s uncle, King Creon ostracizes his niece because she disobeyed his demands when she performed a burial custom for her brother, Polyneices. This quote assists in proving that one of the major messages of Sophocles play is the domination of Athenian men over women. During Sophocles life, Athenian females were not able to attend the plays, defend themselves in court, choose who they would marry, or spend their money freely. This idea was reinforced in his play by showing the harshness of Antigone s treatment by King Creon, exhibiting that females were not equal and certainly did not have the same liberties as men did. • 14. The Senate Should Be Abolished Of The Senate The Senate plays a key role in tandem with the House of Commons, in the operation of Canada s government, some people think that the Senate should be abolished; however without the Senate, The right to bear arms could become true for Canada. The Senate should be reformed; abolishing or keeping the Senate at its current state would be unjust. The current Senate is not elected, effective, nor equal. If the Senate is kept at its current state, it will continue to operate fine, however the Senate can be much more effective at what it does if it gets amended. Currently the Senate is not elected, equal, nor efficient. People who comprise the Senate are selected by the governor general on the advice of the Prime Minister, so those selected most likely will act in good intention towards the Prime Minister. The Senate, unlike the House was designed to represent Canada s regions, however it over represents some provinces at the expense of others. For example currently, Quebec and Ontario each have 24 seats, the same amount of seats as the four Western provinces as a whole. Click Here for a copy of the opinion. WesternGeco LLC sued ION Geophysical for infringement of several U.S. patents covering an oil deposit surveying device. A jury found infringement and no invalidity on all asserted claims and awarded $93.4 million in lost profits and $12.5 million in reasonable royalties. The lost profits were, in part, based on the loss of surveying contracts outside of the US. WesternGeco manufactures the patented device, but does not sell it. Instead, WesternGeco uses it to perform surveys for oil and gas companies. ION Geophysical, in contrast, sold the patented device to competitors of WesternGeco. WesternGeco successfully argued that its damages included $90 million of lost profits it would have earned if it had won surveying contracts that were ultimately awarded to ION s customers for surveying in international waters. ION appealed the jury verdict, arguing that WesternGeco was not the owner of the asserted patents, that the trial court made several errors related to its grant of summary judgment of infringement of one patent claim, and that lost profits were incorrectly awarded for activities outside the U.S. WesternGeco appealed the ... This area is a mild, mid latitude climate characterized by warm to hot summers, precipitation with a summer maximum, and mild winter temperatures. Both Berkeley and Terre Haute lie within relatively the same latitudes, however, Berkeley lies in an area stabilized by the poleward migration of the subtropical high and relatively cool water of the Pacific Ocean (Hess, 2013). This brings dry weather to Berkeley. Terre Haute, however, does not benefit from this stability, and continues to experience precipitation throughout the summer months. In the areas of the Eastern United States, this effect is also contributed to by the influence of tropical cyclones. Berkeley, according to www.usclimatedata.com, has its highest precipitation levels during December thru February, which is typical of Csa climates (Hess, 2013). This peak of rainfall that is unbalanced with a typical increase of water demand during summer greatly stresses the water budget, and can result in a sever water deficit during summer months. Californians struggled with this through the summer of 2014, and according to an article by National Geographic, California will struggle with a water deficit of the amount necessary to provide water to 1.5 million homes. This is not only due to the climate of the region, but as it specifically applies to Berkeley,

The novel was based on the idea of marriage and how it was affected by the society. A major idea that was shown in Jane s novel was the idea behind how certain physical appearances really hid how a person s real character is. It is clearly shown in the way Elizabeth was misguided with Mr. Darcy s and Mr. Wickham s appearance on how their Internal character really is as mentioned in the article Pride and Prejudice: Appearance vs. Reality . By the time most of the novel s events are over Elizabeth comes to a decision that her primary impact on both Mr. Darcy and Mr. Wickham were incorrect. • 27. The, Suspense, And The Unknown Essay Detective novels of the mystery genre have always been fraught with terror, suspense, and the unknown. Normally those such novels are subject to the public eye under the scrutiny of just how much of it is real or simply superstition and science fiction just sensational writing. Sensational writing in and of itself is not supposed to be thought provoking to the reader, but instead plays off the reader s baser emotions that center around adrenaline like fear and excitement. While A Study in Scarlet, by essence of being a detective novel, is still considered sensational writing, it brought a level of subtleness to the sensationalism that evoked a deeper response in the readers. One particular event where the sensationalism was extremely downplayed was the murder itself in the novel. For the police detective Gregson and Lestrade, their biggest question at the scene of the crime was not really who murdered but how he murdered as there was not any noticeable blood or wounds on the victim. Lestrade even goes so far as to remark, This case will make a stir, sir...It beats anything I have seen, and I am no chicken (Doyle 25). The unusual circumstances of the death cause the reader to think deeper about how the victim could have possibly died, subtly ensnaring the reader to be even further interested. Fear of the unknown is the greatest thing subtly sensationalism can do since it can evoke a greater response in a few words than what pages of grotesque description can do. If Doyle ... Internal crowdsourcing is easier to implement in companies where social media acceptance is high (Yap, 2012); crowdsourcing attempts within companies don t measure up to the external crowd (Boudreau and Lakhani, 2013). Crowdsourcing forms such as idea marketplaces and idea jams lack the capabilities and fall short to the external crowd s full capacity. Boudreau and Lakhani (2013) believes employees are discouraged from seeking challenges; Yap (2012) says that internal crowdsourcing unveil innovations from employees which otherwise would not be captured.
