My Wife And My First Child
In December of 2008, my wife and I found out we would be having our fourth child. We were living
in Sugarloaf Key, FL while I worked in Key West, FL. Due to some unforeseen circumstances with
our land lord, we terminated our lease in Sugarloaf early, rather than trying to find a place for the
remaining six months we would be there. We moved the family back home to North Carolina over the
Christmas break from school. I still had six months or so remaining before I transferred to my new job
in Tybee Island, GA. The military had moved us before, being a military family moving was a bitter
sweet occurrence. The family adjusted well and settled right in. Having family close by to help ease
this transition helped out greatly. The fourth addition to our family was developing on schedule,
regular doctor visits, and checkups. We decided that he would be born in NC since my wife was
comfortable with the doctor she was already seeing. The estimated delivery date also worked with my
work schedule and being home for the birth.
When I was finished in Key West, I had a few weeks off before I started my new assignment in GA.
During these few weeks I rejoined my family in NC and took my wife house hunting in GA. We found
a great development just going up with a new K 8 school, which was going to be finished for the start
of the next school year, just outside the gate of the development. With our expected due date for our
son in August, the family set up in NC, and the timing of my work

Boo Radley Quotes
Who is the Mockingbird? There are many ideas on who could be the mockingbird in the novel, To Kill
a Mockingbird written by Harper Lee. Boo Radley, a man the town of Maycomb looks down upon is
the so called mockingbird in the novel. Boo Radley is nothing other than a resident of Maycomb who
saves the Finch kid s lives, showers them with gifts, and is just all together an innocent person.
Throughout the story Boo Radley looks after the kids and leaves them gifts. For example, Jem talks
about going back to the Radley place when he says, When I went back for my breeches they were in a
tangle...When I went back...they were folded across the fence...like they were expectin me (Lee 78).
This quote is trying to say that when Jem went back for his pants they were fixed and folded neatly on
the fence. Boo Radley helps Jem out by untangling and sewing his pants for him. In addition, another
quote is when Jem is peeking into a tree he says, Tin foil was sticking out of a knothole just above my
eye level...I reached into the hole and withdrew two pieces of chewing gum (Lee 33). The quote is
explaining how Boo Radley knew Jem would go to the tree so he left him ... Show more content on

For instance, Scout talks about walking back home from the carnival when she says, ... then somebody
yanked Mr. Ewell down. Jem must have got up, I guess (Lee 361). The quote is explaining how
someone tackled Mr. Ewell and picked up Jem. Boo Radley was there to kill Mr. Ewell. He then
rescued the kids and took them back home. Another quote is when Atticus talks to Scout about the fire
when he says to her, Boo Radley. You were so busy looking at the fire you didn t know it when he put
the blanket around you (Lee 96). In this quote Atticus is saying that Boo Radley came and put the
blanket around Scout. Boo takes care of Scout when he mysteriously puts the blanket on her. Overall,
Boo saved both of the kid s lives and tended to them during

Unit 3 IP ITCO321 Anthony Thurman Stacks are containers of objects that are inserted and then
removed according to Last In First Out (LIFO). This means that the last item inserted will be the first
item removed. Inserting an item is referred to as Pushing, while removing an item is called Popping. A
queue works a little different than a stack does, in that it follows First In First Out. So rather than
having the last object removed first, the first object is removed first. Elements can be inserted at any
time, but the only element that can be removed is the one that has been in the queue the longest.

Recruitment Proposal For Senior Level Talent
MEMORANDUM
TO: CEO, HSS
FROM: Alyise Johnson, HR Director
DATE: April 29, 2015
SUBJECT: Recruitment and Staffing Proposal for Senior Level Talent As requested during our last
meeting, you shared with me your personal desire and HSS s need to establish a new recruitment and
selection process for employing senior level staff. Below I have provided a few of the top options that
the organization can easily put in place for the use of recruiting and selection new senior level staff.
Recruitment Methods Recruiting suitable candidates that are able to adequately handle and manage
senior level positions of the organization takes a great deal of time and patience. Placing
inexperienced individuals into advanced positions within HHS could ... Show more content on

2. Recruiters. For organizations that do not have the time or the resources to find suitable candidates,
they hire headhunters and recruiting companies to do the searching for them. These headhunters and
recruiters hunt down the best individuals in their particular fields, having thoroughly researched their
complete background, including their experience and accomplishments, and basically sell these
individuals to the appropriate organization. (Sutton, 2009) These companies also certify the candidates
they recommend, providing a money back guarantee if an organization is not completely satisfied after
a specific period of time.
3. Gamification. Gamification is the use of gaming principles and design in non gaming situations and
identifies potential employees by posing virtual challenges that require the skills necessary for a given
job. Gamification is effective because it can test a skill set, associate the company with something
people enjoy and produce a virtual feel for the culture of a particular workplace.
Selection Methods Selecting suitable candidates for senior level positions of the organization is also
an essential undertaking. There are several considerations an organization must take into an account
about a candidate before hiring them.
1. Credentials Assessment. It is very important to know what experience and skillset a candidate
brings with

Napoleon Bonaparte Hero Or Villain Essay
People may argue whether Napoleon was a hero or a villain but his success speaks for itself. Napoleon
Bonaparte was the emperor of France from 1804 1814 until he and from 1814 1815 was considered as
a national hero. He overthrew the directory who were disliked and highly corrupt. Later, he had
captured all the power and became the leader of France. Napoleon was a reformer because he made
numerous successful changes in politics, economics, and the military. His reforms were very
influential and affected the life of many French people. Napoleon will always be remembered by the
french people and no one will forget the role he play to bring an end to the revolution.
In France, Napoleon s goal was to unify France by making the necessary reforms and taking the right
decisions but also by introducing his own ideas. Therefore, he established the Napoleonic code known
as Code des civiles des Français which was one of his numerous reforms. It was a new code of laws
and it illustrated the enlightenment principles such as the abolition of feudalism and religious
toleration. It also affirmed the equality of all citizens . These laws didn t favor anyone unlike the three

BASKETBALL
The American sport of basketball has come a long way since it was invented by
James Naismith in 1891. Originally, the game was played with a soccer ball and peach
baskets instead of a backboard and rim. There were no holes in the baskets and a ladder
was used to retrieve the ball if it did stay in the basket. There were about fifty
players on opposing teams and players who committed fouls were sent to a hockey like
penalty box. Today the game has changed tremendously and basketball has become one
of the top three sports in North America. The game of basketball has been considerably polished. It is
now played on a court, each
team has a coach, and there are referees to put in force ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Michael Jordan came on the scene, he
took basketball to a fantasy level. Nicknamed Air Jordan for his unique ability to soar
to great heights, he is considered as the greatest player who ever played the game.
Even if someone had never watched an NBA game, they would have heard of Jordan. He
overwhelmed the fans with his fade aways and amazed them with his dunks. He even
took basketball to the international scene.
He retired in 1999, it made the headlines in even the Japanese newspapers.
Even though he was a superstar of the game he did not do it by himself. In order to play
much more effectively, he must have team support. It is important to play as a
team and each player on the court has to make a contribution. Good, solid defensive plays
wins games, not just flashy moves by one player. It is also important to have a leader
on the team who is the like the MVP. They are the one who must motivate his team to
play to its potential. It is a MUST to have the right kind of attitude to be an outstanding
basketball player. You can t just proudly step onto the court, thinking you are the best
player. Even the best players in the NBA not only have the right attitude, but also work on
their weaknesses.
Most players also accumulate confidence from their coaches. Good coaches will
do almost anything to bring out the best in a player. They will always be willing to listen
and suggest ways to get you to play at high level. They will

The Achievement Gap Problem
Is it possible for the achievement gap to be solved? The achievement gap is the difference in test
scores between different groups of students. In the article, the students are grouped based on ethnicity,
family history, and economic background. Educational facilities have been attempting to close the gap
for the past couple years, but the problem still persists. Ravitch is the author of the article and has put
a large quantity of time towards the achievement gap issue. She has researched and found that the
achievement gap starts before the education starts. Also, there has been improvement, but the progress
is not visible to the common person. Ravitch, along with others concerned about the gap have
researched and proposed ideas to solve the problem, but there has yet to be an idea to completely close
it. The issue surrounding the achievement gap is complicated and important due to many different
reasons. These reasons include the problem being ignored, lack of substantial progress, and the fact
that new ideas are hard to form. Diane Ravitch, the author of The Facts About the Achievement Gap
has proven through research that the achievement gap is caused by ethnicity, family history, and
economic background which makes it nearly impossible to close the gap completely. Due to the fact
that the achievement gap forms before education begins, it is extremely difficult to eliminate the gap.
Not only is this a factor, but another reason to why the achievement gap persists

Musician Career Information
This paper will discuss the career information concerning musicians and singers. It will also cover
degree requirements, as well as prospective job growth. Musicians work in a field that is quite
different from most other occupations. These differences will be discussed as well.
Musician Career Information Musicians play or sing music. Regardless of genre, musicians perform in
a wide variety of venues. These range from bars and clubs, to opera houses and stadiums. While some
musicians may join a specific band or group, others may become session or studio musicians. These
musicians tend to be for hire, specifically for recording parts, or for back up in performances.
The career path of musicians and singers is quite different than typical occupations. Musicians and
singers are not required to have any technical degrees. This does not make it an entry level career by
any means. Musicians often begin playing or singing as children, and practice very often. Though a
degree is not necessary, above average ability is. In the classical realm, most musicians have at least a
bachelor s degree, as it may be required. The schooling trains players in music theory and history, as
well as the practice and technique of their instrument. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Artists must have great interpersonal skills. Dealing with agents, conductors, producers, and fans is a
requirement of musicians. Performers must also be equipped with promotional skills. Until an agent or
promoter has been hired, musicians will be in charge of growing their own fan base, as well as
promoting their performances. Lastly, dedication and discipline are critical. It takes years of practice
to become an amateur musician, and a higher skill level is usually required. Even after an occupation
has been established, it will be further necessary to practice daily. Competition is extremely high in
this field, and the job growth is

Elizabethan Court Instruments
Music played a large part in the Elizabethan era. It was an important form of entertainment and was
favored by Queen Elizabeth. Court music was considered to be the most unique and broad style of
music at the time. Elizabethan court music was a refined style of music specifically used in the courts
of Queen Elizabeth. Court instruments were a main part in court music. Many musicians took part in
playing and composing music for court. Queen Elizabeth had a special liking for the arts and enjoyed
music.
The introduction of new musical instruments produced refined, beautiful sounds. The instruments new
to the Elizabethan era were the viol, an early model of the violin, the hautboy, an oboe like instrument,
and the keyboard instruments, the spinet, harpsichord, and virginal. Playing multiple instruments at
one time was still in the experimental stage, but was done to make creative and unusual sounds. String
and keyboard instruments were becoming very popular at this time, creating the refined sound, unique
to the court. The most popular instrument of that time was the lute, ... Show more content on

She employed some musicians to play the instruments, some to compose the music, and some to sing
the music. A few court composers were Thomas Campion, Robert Johnson, John Dowland, and
William Byrd. The range of music played at court varied from traditional, simple English ballads to
sophisticated madrigals and from quiet church music to lively dance music. Because of this difficult
range of music the employed musicians had to be very talented. When Elizabethan composers wrote
music, they did not specify what instruments should be used but left that decision to the musicians
who played the composition. Musicians of the Elizabethan era were very creative and experimented
with different combinations of instruments playing together. One of the best known combinations
came to be known as the English consort, which consisted of a violin, flute, lute, and

Pneumococcal/Streptococcus Pneumoniae
Question 1: The pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis, and treatment of pneumococcal lobar
pneumonia and bronchopneumonia
Pneumococcal Lobar pneumonia
Pneumococcal lobar pneumonia is a disease that generally infects the entire lungs. According to
Kadioglu (290), bacteria that are known as streptococcus pneumoniae, also referred to as
pneumococcus, cause the infection. The bacteria are a coccus that is located in pairs or small chains.
Pneumococcal lobar pneumonia encompasses a large section of a lobe or the whole lobe of the lung.
Moreover, pneumococcal lobar pneumonia has reduced its effects due to quick response to the
treatment methods, although this disease is still a large menace in the developed nations. In the
developing nations, pneumococcal lobar pneumonia is a major cause of mortality. Similarly, this
illness mostly affects young people and middle aged adults; it rarely infects babies and old
individuals. In addition, pneumococcal lobar pneumonia has been commonly analyzed to be affecting
men more than women. People who drink alcohol and use tobacco products are also highly susceptible
to lobar pneumonia.
Pneumococcal lobar pneumonia generally infects the upper section of the respiratory system among
adults and children and has a possibility of diffusing to blood, entire lung, internal ear, or the nervous
system. The disease appears after an individual has been exposed to cold or following a previous

Argumentative Essay-Harambe Is Wrong
The Killing of Harambe was NOT Ok Do you think that shooting a harmless animal is okay? On May
28, 2016 a three year old boy fell into Harambe, a 420 pound Silverback gorilla s, den. Zoo officials
quickly decided to shoot Harambe to save the little boy, although he was in no danger. I think
Harambe should not have gotten killed because according to experts he was not aggressive towards
people, and also he was used to humans. Also I think that the place he lived should have been fully
enclosed. Lastly, instead of shooting the gorilla, I think they should have used a tranquilizer gun. The
first reason why I think Harambe shouldn t have been killed is because he was used to the presence of
humans. He was born in and raised in captivity, and he was with a zookeeper at least once a day. This
shows that he wouldn t have harmed the little boy. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

This shows that if there was more safety that it would have never happened. Some people say that
Harambe should have been killed instantly because a human s life is more important that an animal s. I
agree with them that human lives are more important than animals, but I don t think Harambe should

The s Influence On The World s Music Today
Though Norway has a small population of only 5.3 million inhabitants, its musical culture is just as
rich as many other countries. From classical and folk, to blues, country, electronic, hip hop, pop, rock,
and metal, Norway s traditions contribute to all of them. Although Scandinavia is often overlooked, it
has a strong influence on all of the world s music today. Archaeological digs have shed light on some
unknown history of Norwegian music by revealing artifacts including instruments such as the lur. The
lur, having been seen on ancient Scandinavian rock paintings, is a five to eight foot long bronze
blowing horn. Having been found in Norway, Denmark, South Sweden, and even Northern Germany,

He traveled throughout Europe while composing in order to incorporate Norwegian rural tradition as
well as European culture into his music. Today he is highly celebrated in his hometown, with several
statues and locations dedicated to his work.
Another influential musician in Norway, Johan Svendsen, was a composer, conductor, and violinist.
Svendsen was known for composing larger scale orchestras and ensembles, while Grieg composed for
smaller instrumental ensembles. Svendson s most famous work is his Romance for violin and
orchestra. Although Svendsen was extremely popular in Norway and Denmark, winning several
awards and honors, these honors did not help his music spread very widely.
Folk music in Norway has been passed down for hundreds of years. It isn t easy to completely
describe Norwegian traditional music, with many specialized dialects from area to area. Few European
traditional music genres have as rich a variety of dialects as the Norwegian ones. There are many
opinions about what defines traditional music, but most Norwegian traditional music is in one of two
categories: instrumental and vocal. Instrumental folk music is typically used for dancing and is called
slåtter in Norwegian. There are two types of these dance melodies two beat and three beat. These folk
dances, usually performed by couples, are very social. Other

Western Europe and the increased military violence are symbiotic, not contradictory in the 8th to 12th

with political rulers and how it transitions from a weak structure to a bureaucracy that envisions a

Anatomy Of The Pulmonary, Coronaries And Veins
Anatomy Of The pulmonary, Coronaries and aorta arteries
Gross anatomy
The heart and great vessels are roughly in the middle of the thorax, being surrounded laterally and
posteriorly by the lungs and anteriorly by the sternum and the central part of the thoracic cage. The
heart acts a twofold, self modifying suction and pressure pump, the parts of which work in union to
push blood to all parts of the body. The right half of the heart (right heart) gets ineffectively
oxygenated (venous) blood from the body via the SVC and IVC and pumps it through the pulmonary
trunk to the lungs for oxygenation. The left half of the heart (left heart) gets well oxygenated (arterial)
blood from the lungs via the pulmonary veins and pushes it into the aorta for circulation to the body
(Fig.1) (Moore and Dalley, 2006).
Fig.1. The heart and great vessels (Quoted from Shah, 2005)
I Anatomy of pulmonary arteries:
The lungs get blood by means of two sets of arteries: pulmonary arteries and bronchial arteries.
Deoxygenated blood goes through the pulmonary trunk which separates into a left pulmonary artery
that enters the left lung and a right pulmonary artery that enters the right lung. Return of the
oxygenated blood to the heart happens by method of the four pulmonary veins which deplete into the
left atrium (Tortora and Nielsen, 2012). The fundamental divisions of the trunk are the right and left
pulmonary arteries. The right pulmonary artery goes in front of the

Comparison Between Shipping Out And Mark Twain s Opinion
Opinions are the median in which people often voice their stances on topics that they are passionate

the audience. In the two works, Shipping Out by David Foster Wallace and From the Innocents

they encounter on their journeys. David Foster Wallace and Mark Twain both construe their praises for
service providers in two very differing manners. The two writers opinions and ideas are received

Examples throughout Twain and Wallace s works establish that the way in which a writer articulates
their opinion correlates with the way in which the opinions is received and accounted for. Twain and
Wallace both connect the reader visually to the characters in their works, however, Twain leaves room
for the reader to form an opinion of the character for themselves. He allows them to decide if they
appreciate the gentle energy of the older traveler or the warmth and attentive nature of the wait staff.
On the other hand, Wallace s demanding language leaves no room for interpretation for the reader. His
extreme and dramatic phrases ultimately cause the reader to question the value of his opinion, which
simply proves that moderate language used in Mark Twain book is more successful than the bold
language that David Foster Wallace chooses to

Racial and Ethnic Groups
There are three sociological perspectives of race and ethnicity which are functionalist, conflict, and
labeling perspectives. The first one I will discuss is the functionalist perspective. The functionalist
perspective emphasizes how the parts of society are structured to maintain its stability. As also
described in the reading the functionalist approach is an approach, if an aspect of social life does not
contribute to a society s stability or survival, it will not be passed on from one generation to the next.
The functionalist perspective thinks that racial hostility is hard to be admired but the functionalist

As described it was the movement of 2 million African American out of the Southern United States to
the Midwest, Northeast, and West from 1910 to 1930. They migrated to escape racism and seek
employment opportunities in industrial cities.
When the Emancipation Proclamation was signed in 1863 less than eight percent of the African
American population lived in the northeastern or Midwestern U.S. As described, Between 1910 and
1930, the African American population grew by about 40% in Northern states, mostly in the major
cities. Cities such as Chicago, Detroit, New York, and Cleveland had some of the biggest increases in
the early part of the century. Because changes were concentrated in cities, urban tensions rose as
African Americans and new or recent European immigrants, both groups chiefly from rural societies,
competed for jobs and housing with the white ethnic working class. Tensions were often most severe
between ethnic Irish, defending their positions, and recent immigrants and blacks.
African Americans moved as individuals or small family groups. There was no government assistance,
but often northern industries, such as the railroads, meatpacking and stockyards, recruited people. The
primary factor for migration was the racial climate and widespread violence of lynching in the South.
In the North, they could find better schools and adult men could vote (joined by women after 1920).
Burgeoning industries meant there were job

Rhetorical Analysis Of Child Labor By Florence Kelley
Florence Kelley uses a couple of rhetorical strategies to convey her message and view on child labor
in America. Kelly conveys her message on child labor in a way that partially has negative effects on
the reader s emotion, but rather explaining her devices in sarcastic and guilty tones. These rhetorical
devices appeal to the reader s mind and emotion and wants the reader to feel sorry/guilty and put a
stop to child labor. One of these important rhetorical devices, is sarcasm, or a sarcastic tone. For
example, Kelley states that the states are enlightened . This is sarcasm because she states people are
not really enlightened by child labor but are rather disgusted. Kelley wants the reader to reader to see
that the states do not care about child labor but instead, appreciate the work being done by the
children. Another clear example of sarcasm is when Kelley states Alabama does better in this respect .
Kelley to trying to convey her message by saying sarcastically that even though Alabama adds laws to
child labor, it is still the wrong thing to do. Kelley is saying a few laws doesn t matter if a kid is ...

Kelley incorporates multiple statistics and facts for the reader so he/she can get a grasp on the growing

Kelley uses this to influence the reader that the growing numbers of child labor are not only large but
is all over the country. People all over the country and the readers like facts and statistics so they can
really get a grasp of the problem . This is why Kelley uses statistics to convey her message. Kelley
also states men increase, women increase, boy s increase in the ranks of the bread winners . She uses
this example to prove her point that more and more children are being put to work without anybody

The Great Leader Of The Macedonian Empire
Over 1,000 years come between these two men s empires. Alexander the Great leader of The

Alexander the Great. Alexander the Great was born on July 20, 356 B.C. He was born in the ancient

Tennessee Williams A Streetcar Named Desire
The Desire s Breakdown
Tennessee Williams A Streetcar Named Desire is a web of themes, complicated scenarios, and clashes
between the characters. Therefore, it might ve been somehow difficult to find out who the protagonist
of this play is if it wasn t for Aristotle s ideas of a good tragedy because neither of the main characters,
Stanley Kowalski and Blanche Dubois, is completely good nor bad. According to Aristotle s Poetics, a
good tragedy requires the protagonist to undergo a change of status which only happens with Blanche
Dubois.
From my point of view the protagonist of A Streetcar Named Desire is Blanche Dubois. Blanche is a
woman who was born and raised in the plantations in Mississippi. She s about 30 years old. She is an
English teacher who got fired for having an affair with a 17 year old student. She goes to New Orleans
in 1947 to stay with her sister, Stella, and her sister s husband Stanley Kowalski.
In this play Blanche has a praxis: She must get a companion to share her life with who can provide her
with shelter, food, and financial support and that s what makes the whole story happen. This praxis is
created when two things happen: First, Blanche finding out that the man she married was having an
affair with another man and he decided to shoot himself after she confronted him, and second, the loss
of her house in Mississippi. These two things create her need of a shelter, financial support and food
therefore she decides to stay with her sister Stella.

Texas V Johnson Case Summary
Do your constitutional rights protect you from state laws? In 1989 Texas v. Johnson, Johnson had
burned an American flag and Texas state law protects the American flag from being burned when the
flag burner knows it will seriously offend others. Johnson was then arresting and tried, then the case
went all the way to the Supreme court. Johnson claimed he was expressing his right to free speech.
Flag burning conveyed a political message. Preserving the flag was related to the suppression of
expression. There was no breach of peace. Johnson burning the flag was indeed free speech and he is
protected by the 1st Amendment in this instance. The majority opinion was that Johnson was justified
for burning the flag because it was found to be free speech. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

because no breach of the peace occurred in this instance, and because Johnson s actions did not incite

overrode Johnson s constitutional right to free speech. Judge Brennan said ...the government s interest
in preserving the flag as a symbol of national hood and national unity was related to the suppression of
expression. Texas did not meet the requirements for the O Brien test. Johnson was ruled to be not
guilty by the majority opinion. The dissenting opinions all focused along the lines of the flag
symbolizing freedom, the military as well as how it affects the moral of people and how it defines
what an American is by the actions of former Americans. These are what you could call morally right.
However, it is not to be confused with what is legally correct. Johnson s actions should be and were

Ebay vs Amazon
EBay vs. Amazon
Introduction:
In a world where trade is increasingly becoming digitalized online, there are new and challenging
strategies emerging. This essay aims to analyze and determine these strategies. Considering the
example of eBay and Amazon, their business models and their multi sided platforms, we can compare
them to decide which strategies work in this market and how, in the future, they can keep a
competitive edge as the market continuously changes. However, as Amazon and eBay have eventually
crossed paths in an attempt to expand in the ecommerce market, the question persists whether the
market is big enough for both. This essay will look at how eBay and Amazon have evolved their

EBay s business strategy originally used a two sided platform, founder, Pierre Omidyar (1995),
developed the firm out of, what he saw as a, need or niche in the market that needed accommodating.
This niche was to develop lower search costs and find a way to determine a fair price in the industry.
(I.e. a working price mechanism) Due to high search costs the used goods and collectables market had
suffered a stifled growth. Whereas the lack of a price mechanism in the market meant products were
sold primarily through bilateral negotiation, through buyer and seller. This was an issue as it didn t
reveal the true prices in the market as little or no competition prevented competitive pricing strategies
from emerging. However, the emergence of eBay s auctions feature transformed Bi Lateral trades into
Multi Lateral trades, facilitating efficient price discoveries. (R.Salehnejad, 2012, Note 3) In 2003 eBay
introduced fixed prices using the buy it now function in which eBay still benefited from a listing and
commission fee. This effectively ensured that the merchant always got the price they wanted for a
good, not necessarily the market price it deserved. Furthermore, in 2001 eBay introduced eBay Stores
allowing firms to offer its products at fixed prices through the eBay site, such as the Home Depot in
the USA. Here it is clear that eBay was moving into Amazon s territory as an online retailer and
merchant platform. Although eBay

Positive And Negative Aspects Of Globalization
Like most things in the world, globalization is neither completely good or completely bad.
Globalization can be both a beneficial and destructive force to the world. The largest impacts of
globalization are seen economically, environmentally, and socially. By examining globalization in
these ways, one can see that globalization is not inherently positive or negative. Economically theories
like those describing free trade, perpetuate the globalization of the world. Due to theories like
comparative advantage, free trade is considered by most economists to be beneficial in the long term
for everyone. With globalization countries specialize into products in which they have a comparative
advantage in trading. This leads to more efficiency creating more goods and cheaper prices.
Overspecialization, however, can be problematic. Countries need to have some diversity in their
economy in case of crises ruining their major industry. Poorer nations in a globalized world also tend
to specialize in natural resources, and richer nations with more human capital specialize in production.
This is seen by some to be a new form of economic colonialism, where poor nations are forced to sell
resources cheap and buy expensive manufactured goods. With free trade, consumers buy the most
inexpensive goods, while the producers find the least expensive labour force to hire. This often leads
to companies hiring workers who are given little rights and low wages. Sometimes cheap labour
entails child workers and slave labour. This issue can be solved to an extent with more knowledge
about where products come from. The United States government publishes a list of companies who
use child or slave labour, this often creates backlash to the company; which can encourage changing to
more ethical labour sources. With trade there can also be a phenomenon called leapfrogging. This is
when countries are able to develop using products of higher technology than previously used. A great
example of leapfrogging that has been advantageous is the use of the cell phone in developing nations.
A cell phone allows more participation in the global economy with a connection to the rest of the
planet. This can improve the national output greatly and give

Denver Pacific Railroad Research Paper
In the 1800 s, Colorado was pretty much a gold mine for settlers traveling west. The city of Denver
was bypassed by the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) through Cheyenne, Wyoming from Omaha,
Nebraska, 100 miles to the north. David Halliday Moffat, one of Denver s most important financiers
and industrialists, had a vision. Having built several rail lines for a few railroads such as the Denver
Pacific Railway (DP) and the Denver, South Park, and Pacific Railway (DSP P), he wanted to connect
Denver and Salt Lake City, Utah by rail. However, David had a problem: the Rocky Mountains were
in the way. By 1887, Moffat was elected president of the Denver Rio Grande (D RG), which built a
route west from Pueblo to Grand Junction in western Colorado via Tennessee Pass. Beginning in
1902, David Moffat and his associates established the Denver, Northwestern Pacific Railway (DNW

J.R.R Tolkien and WWI Influence in The Lord of the Rings War has affected the lives of people since
the beginning of civilization. Even General Sherman, famous for his March to the Sea in America s
Civil War, was known for his saying, War is Hell. That idea would only prove to be all too true for the
soldiers of World War I. J.R.R Tolkien was among the young men that struggled for survival in the
damp and deplorable trenches as enemy fire hailed from the sky and bombs decimated the terrain
around them. Many soldiers returned home, physically and mentally traumatized. J.R.R. Tolkien was
no different, and returned home from the war after losing two of his closest friends, suffering from
trench fever, and struggling to acclimate back into normal civilian life (Wood 7). The war left an
imprint on him, just as it did many other WWI writers, such as Ernest Hemingway and Robert Graves
(Ott 1). Tolkien used his writings as a way to escape his trauma, but the scars followed him even into
his mythopedia of Middle earth as he wrote The Lord of the Rings. Sam, Frodo, and other characters,
like Aragorn, suffered through similar physical tribulations such as horrid sights of rotting corpses, as
well as emotional struggles, such as feelings of despair, similar to the soldiers of World War I (Ott 5).

Transfer File Using TCP Protocol And Socket Programing
The purpose of this project is to implement application that can transfer file using TCP protocol and

TCP also controls how the application data should be brake down into packets when the data is too
large to send, so the network can transfer between the serve and the client. Moreover, TCP also

acknowledgement of all packets that arrive. Implementation As it was mention above, this file

server model is used to demonstrate the application. First, the system establishes a TCP socket on the
client side by using the socket function. The next step is to connect the created socket to the address of
the server using the connect() function. Since the connection is established between server and the
client now, the client can do read or write operation using read(), write() function. Finally, it will end
the connection with the server by using close() function. In other hand, server will also flow similar
steps to establish a TCP socket with the client. Firstly, it will also create a socket using socket()
function. Then, it will bind the socket to a client s address using bind() function and will keep Liston
for a connection request from the client side using listen() function. When it gets a request from the
client, it will accept the

The String Theory
Sub atomic particles, known as quarks, electrons, photons, and neutrinos were strewn across
expanding space. Equal amounts of matter and antimatter particles began to collide and annihilate
each other. Gravity, strong and weak nuclear forces, and electromagnetic forces soon came into play.
As the universe started to cool, fundamental particles called quarks began to smash together forming
protons and neutrons. They, in turn, merged to create the nuclei of simple elements, beginning with
hydrogen, helium, and lithium. This primordial soup contained the building blocks for everything in
the universe. Voilà, the universe was born.
Matter and energy continued to expand. Static electricity and gravity brought the expanding matter
together. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Strings would also give rise to the forces of nature: gravity, strong and weak nuclear forces, and
electromagnetism. Atoms contain protons that produce a positive charge, neutrons that produce a
neutral charge, and electrons that produce a negative charge. According to the theory, electrons and
quarks, which make up protons and neutrons, were produced by minuscule, one dimensional,
randomly behaving, vibrating strings of energy. A property of matter or force of nature would be the
result when the strings vibrate and interact with each other.
Not so fast, physicists filled blackboard after blackboard with mathematical equations to prove that the
theory was consistent with the force of gravity. Did not happen. A theory had to be established that
was compatible with the gravitational forces in the enormous universe and the microscopic world. The
modified theory had to include quantum gravity, a high frequency, string vibration that would produce
a graviton. A graviton is responsible for curving surrounding space. The Super String Theory soon
replaced the Not so super String Theory. Particle/wave duality of matter and energy on the quantum
level joined the mix, boson/fermion partnerships known as supersymmetry brought the wine, quantum
gravity served the hors d oeuvres, and the Mother of all parties got underway.

The Radical Groups Of Thinkers
Throughout the recent centuries, biologists, psychologist, and sociologists have been franticly
researching a single question, which if solved, can help us decode our every behavior and decision.
Why exactly are we the people we are today? This question has sparked many passionate debates, one
of them being; Nature (Genetics, biological traits,) versus Nurture (Environmental effects, learning
behavior). There are two radical groups of thinkers in which strictly oppose each other, Nativists and
Empiricist and with a common interest in mind, their perspective of how a being develops
behaviorally and cognitively differ drastically with very few to none similarities. This theory provides
the most insight to the mystery that is ourselves. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, we have not the slightest proof that behavioral traits are passed down through
genetics, which leads us to believe that our next best answer would consist of environmental stimuli
influencing our development of the mind. An example of an environmental stimuli would be social
interaction, in which we all show signs of change from our fetal stages to the day we die. During this
time span of time we form our own unique individuality and behavior. There are many different
perspectives of psychology in which psychologists try to explain the reasoning behind humanistic
behavior and thinking. There are two extremist groups of psychologists that strictly oppose each other
when it comes to the Nature vs. Nurture theory. Nativists, psychologists who adopt strong hereditary
reasoning or Nature theory, believe humans are a product of evolution and our inner and external traits
as well as our behavior are due to our very complex genetic form. The Nativists believe our
individuality is a result of the mixed genetic code, which we get from both of our parents. This code is
solely different from any other being in the world. Nativists strongly believe every reaction we have
and behavior we exhibit is part of our genetic code, which still remains a mystery today. These
thoughts are so radical that after decades of research and experimentation, it is still strongly believed
that our genetic code is the proper

Anzaldua And Fanon Summary
Language may be the most important part of identity. Language takes an identity from being an
individual trait, and transforms it into a social one. The problem with language being a part of a
person s identity is that there are many languages and not all languages are seen as equal. Anzaldua
and Fanon address how some languages are seen as inferior and establish an us and them mentality
within nations and cultures. Fanon takes the approach of becoming the us or superior language and
culture, while Anzaldua makes the claim that a person is able to be a part of more than one culture and
language without losing ones own. Anderson uses language to establish the origins of language based

Anderson points out that many nations were established based on the creation of a national language
that was designed to unify the people and establish a distinction from other nations (Anderson 2006).
The process of establishing a national language had both positive and negative effects. People who did
not speech the national language felt excluded and were essentially marginalized. The people who
spoke the language were more included and regarded as true citizens. The process was more
successful when the language was more widespread in the nation. Language is the tool that can create
nations as well as divide culture, countries, and people. The use of language is important in
establishing identities. For people like Anzaldua it can strengthen an identity while for people Fanon
mentioned it strips a person of their identity and replaces it with the superior language and culture.
Language is constantly changing and expanding, which in turn causes identities, cultures, and nations

High School Is An Exciting Time Essay
For many middle school students across the nation the transition from middle school to high school is
an exciting time. It is the beginning of the end, their last hurrah before they go off on their own as
college students. While students may be ecstatic to experience all that high school has to offer, some
parents are apprehensive. They know the next four years will play a vital role in their child s future.
Parents wonder whether their local high school will prepare their child for the difficult transition from
high school to college. This type of thinking may lead parents to seek out other academic options for
their children. Marian High School, a private school located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, draws in
approximately 120 incoming freshman every year; they attain this number through the use of powerful
rhetorical appeals on their website. Marian entices parents looking for an alternative to their local high
school by tugging on emotions that are entangled with religion, using convincing numerical statistics
and by exhibiting the accomplishments of their graduates. As a result of the US Constitution s

this reason public schools tend to abstain from any religions conversation. For most, religion is a

people and whether students are the key people it serves . To gain a basic understanding of the purpose

are all peer reviewed and also by the reputation of the journal. Other information was sourced from

  • 2. My Wife And My First Child In December of 2008, my wife and I found out we would be having our fourth child. We were living in Sugarloaf Key, FL while I worked in Key West, FL. Due to some unforeseen circumstances with our land lord, we terminated our lease in Sugarloaf early, rather than trying to find a place for the remaining six months we would be there. We moved the family back home to North Carolina over the Christmas break from school. I still had six months or so remaining before I transferred to my new job in Tybee Island, GA. The military had moved us before, being a military family moving was a bitter sweet occurrence. The family adjusted well and settled right in. Having family close by to help ease this transition helped out greatly. The fourth addition to our family was developing on schedule, regular doctor visits, and checkups. We decided that he would be born in NC since my wife was comfortable with the doctor she was already seeing. The estimated delivery date also worked with my work schedule and being home for the birth. When I was finished in Key West, I had a few weeks off before I started my new assignment in GA. During these few weeks I rejoined my family in NC and took my wife house hunting in GA. We found a great development just going up with a new K 8 school, which was going to be finished for the start of the next school year, just outside the gate of the development. With our expected due date for our son in August, the family set up in NC, and the timing of my work ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Boo Radley Quotes Who is the Mockingbird? There are many ideas on who could be the mockingbird in the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird written by Harper Lee. Boo Radley, a man the town of Maycomb looks down upon is the so called mockingbird in the novel. Boo Radley is nothing other than a resident of Maycomb who saves the Finch kid s lives, showers them with gifts, and is just all together an innocent person. Throughout the story Boo Radley looks after the kids and leaves them gifts. For example, Jem talks about going back to the Radley place when he says, When I went back for my breeches they were in a tangle...When I went back...they were folded across the fence...like they were expectin me (Lee 78). This quote is trying to say that when Jem went back for his pants they were fixed and folded neatly on the fence. Boo Radley helps Jem out by untangling and sewing his pants for him. In addition, another quote is when Jem is peeking into a tree he says, Tin foil was sticking out of a knothole just above my eye level...I reached into the hole and withdrew two pieces of chewing gum (Lee 33). The quote is explaining how Boo Radley knew Jem would go to the tree so he left him ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For instance, Scout talks about walking back home from the carnival when she says, ... then somebody yanked Mr. Ewell down. Jem must have got up, I guess (Lee 361). The quote is explaining how someone tackled Mr. Ewell and picked up Jem. Boo Radley was there to kill Mr. Ewell. He then rescued the kids and took them back home. Another quote is when Atticus talks to Scout about the fire when he says to her, Boo Radley. You were so busy looking at the fire you didn t know it when he put the blanket around you (Lee 96). In this quote Atticus is saying that Boo Radley came and put the blanket around Scout. Boo takes care of Scout when he mysteriously puts the blanket on her. • 4. Itco321 Unit 1 Research Paper Unit 3 IP ITCO321 Anthony Thurman Stacks are containers of objects that are inserted and then removed according to Last In First Out (LIFO). This means that the last item inserted will be the first item removed. Inserting an item is referred to as Pushing, while removing an item is called Popping. A queue works a little different than a stack does, in that it follows First In First Out. So rather than having the last object removed first, the first object is removed first. Elements can be inserted at any time, but the only element that can be removed is the one that has been in the queue the longest. (Sutton, 2009) These companies also certify the candidates they recommend, providing a money back guarantee if an organization is not completely satisfied after a specific period of time. 3. Gamification. Gamification is the use of gaming principles and design in non gaming situations and identifies potential employees by posing virtual challenges that require the skills necessary for a given job. Gamification is effective because it can test a skill set, associate the company with something people enjoy and produce a virtual feel for the culture of a particular workplace. In the article, the students are grouped based on ethnicity, family history, and economic background. Educational facilities have been attempting to close the gap for the past couple years, but the problem still persists. Ravitch is the author of the article and has put a large quantity of time towards the achievement gap issue. She has researched and found that the achievement gap starts before the education starts. Also, there has been improvement, but the progress is not visible to the common person. Ravitch, along with others concerned about the gap have researched and proposed ideas to solve the problem, but there has yet to be an idea to completely close it. The issue surrounding the achievement gap is complicated and important due to many different reasons. These reasons include the problem being ignored, lack of substantial progress, and the fact that new ideas are hard to form. Diane Ravitch, the author of The Facts About the Achievement Gap has proven through research that the achievement gap is caused by ethnicity, family history, and economic background which makes it nearly impossible to close the gap completely. Anatomy Of The Pulmonary, Coronaries And Veins Anatomy Of The pulmonary, Coronaries and aorta arteries Gross anatomy The heart and great vessels are roughly in the middle of the thorax, being surrounded laterally and posteriorly by the lungs and anteriorly by the sternum and the central part of the thoracic cage. • 28. Tennessee Williams A Streetcar Named Desire The Desire s Breakdown Tennessee Williams A Streetcar Named Desire is a web of themes, complicated scenarios, and clashes between the characters. Therefore, it might ve been somehow difficult to find out who the protagonist of this play is if it wasn t for Aristotle s ideas of a good tragedy because neither of the main characters, Stanley Kowalski and Blanche Dubois, is completely good nor bad. According to Aristotle s Poetics, a good tragedy requires the protagonist to undergo a change of status which only happens with Blanche Dubois. From my point of view the protagonist of A Streetcar Named Desire is Blanche Dubois. Blanche is a woman who was born and raised in the plantations in Mississippi. She s about 30 years old. She is an English teacher who got fired for having an affair with a 17 year old student. She goes to New Orleans in 1947 to stay with her sister, Stella, and her sister s husband Stanley Kowalski. In this play Blanche has a praxis: She must get a companion to share her life with who can provide her with shelter, food, and financial support and that s what makes the whole story happen. This praxis is created when two things happen: First, Blanche finding out that the man she married was having an affair with another man and he decided to shoot himself after she confronted him, and second, the loss of her house in Mississippi. These two things create her need of a shelter, financial support and food therefore she decides to stay with her sister Stella. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 29. Texas V Johnson Case Summary Do your constitutional rights protect you from state laws? In 1989 Texas v. Johnson, Johnson had burned an American flag and Texas state law protects the American flag from being burned when the flag burner knows it will seriously offend others. Johnson was then arresting and tried, then the case went all the way to the Supreme court. Johnson claimed he was expressing his right to free speech. Flag burning conveyed a political message. Preserving the flag was related to the suppression of expression. There was no breach of peace. Johnson burning the flag was indeed free speech and he is protected by the 1st Amendment in this instance. The majority opinion was that Johnson was justified for burning the flag because it was found to be free speech. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Texas 3rd argument was to found to be inaccurate because the government overrode Johnson s constitutional right to free speech. Judge Brennan said ...the government s interest in preserving the flag as a symbol of national hood and national unity was related to the suppression of expression. Texas did not meet the requirements for the O Brien test. Johnson was ruled to be not guilty by the majority opinion. The dissenting opinions all focused along the lines of the flag symbolizing freedom, the military as well as how it affects the moral of people and how it defines what an American is by the actions of former Americans. These are what you could call morally right. However, it is not to be confused with what is legally correct. Johnson s actions should be and were justified by the majority of the Supreme ... • 31. Ebay vs Amazon EBay vs. Amazon Introduction: In a world where trade is increasingly becoming digitalized online, there are new and challenging strategies emerging. This essay aims to analyze and determine these strategies. Considering the example of eBay and Amazon, their business models and their multi sided platforms, we can compare them to decide which strategies work in this market and how, in the future, they can keep a competitive edge as the market continuously changes. However, as Amazon and eBay have eventually crossed paths in an attempt to expand in the ecommerce market, the question persists whether the market is big enough for both. EBay s business strategy originally used a two sided platform, founder, Pierre Omidyar (1995), developed the firm out of, what he saw as a, need or niche in the market that needed accommodating. This niche was to develop lower search costs and find a way to determine a fair price in the industry. (I.e. a working price mechanism) Due to high search costs the used goods and collectables market had suffered a stifled growth. Whereas the lack of a price mechanism in the market meant products were sold primarily through bilateral negotiation, through buyer and seller. This was an issue as it didn t reveal the true prices in the market as little or no competition prevented competitive pricing strategies from emerging. However, the emergence of eBay s auctions feature transformed Bi Lateral trades into Multi Lateral trades, facilitating efficient price discoveries. (R.Salehnejad, 2012, Note 3) In 2003 eBay introduced fixed prices using the buy it now function in which eBay still benefited from a listing and commission fee. This effectively ensured that the merchant always got the price they wanted for a good, not necessarily the market price it deserved. Furthermore, in 2001 eBay introduced eBay Stores allowing firms to offer its products at fixed prices through the eBay site, such as the Home Depot in the USA. Here it is clear that eBay was moving into Amazon s territory as an online retailer and merchant platform. Although eBay ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Positive And Negative Aspects Of Globalization Like most things in the world, globalization is neither completely good or completely bad. Globalization can be both a beneficial and destructive force to the world. The largest impacts of globalization are seen economically, environmentally, and socially. By examining globalization in these ways, one can see that globalization is not inherently positive or negative. Economically theories like those describing free trade, perpetuate the globalization of the world. Due to theories like comparative advantage, free trade is considered by most economists to be beneficial in the long term for everyone. With globalization countries specialize into products in which they have a comparative advantage in trading. This leads to more efficiency creating more goods and cheaper prices. Overspecialization, however, can be problematic. Countries need to have some diversity in their economy in case of crises ruining their major industry. Poorer nations in a globalized world also tend to specialize in natural resources, and richer nations with more human capital specialize in production. This is seen by some to be a new form of economic colonialism, where poor nations are forced to sell resources cheap and buy expensive manufactured goods. With free trade, consumers buy the most inexpensive goods, while the producers find the least expensive labour force to hire. This often leads to companies hiring workers who are given little rights and low wages. Sometimes cheap labour entails child workers and slave labour. This issue can be solved to an extent with more knowledge about where products come from. The United States government publishes a list of companies who use child or slave labour, this often creates backlash to the company; which can encourage changing to more ethical labour sources. With trade there can also be a phenomenon called leapfrogging. This is when countries are able to develop using products of higher technology than previously used. A great example of leapfrogging that has been advantageous is the use of the cell phone in developing nations. A cell phone allows more participation in the global economy with a connection to the rest of the planet. This can improve the national output greatly and give ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The city of Denver was bypassed by the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) through Cheyenne, Wyoming from Omaha, Nebraska, 100 miles to the north. David Halliday Moffat, one of Denver s most important financiers and industrialists, had a vision. Having built several rail lines for a few railroads such as the Denver Pacific Railway (DP) and the Denver, South Park, and Pacific Railway (DSP P), he wanted to connect Denver and Salt Lake City, Utah by rail. However, David had a problem: the Rocky Mountains were in the way. By 1887, Moffat was elected president of the Denver Rio Grande (D RG), which built a route west from Pueblo to Grand Junction in western Colorado via Tennessee Pass. Beginning in 1902, David Moffat and his associates established the Denver, Northwestern Pacific Railway (DNW P) to address the issue of Denver having been bypassed by both the UP in Cheyenne and the D RG in Pueblo. ... Analysis Of The Lord Of The Rings Danielle McDermott Dr. Oldakowski College Writing Research Paper 12/3/14 J.R.R Tolkien and WWI Influence in The Lord of the Rings War has affected the lives of people since the beginning of civilization. Even General Sherman, famous for his March to the Sea in America s Civil War, was known for his saying, War is Hell. That idea would only prove to be all too true for the soldiers of World War I. J.R.R Tolkien was among the young men that struggled for survival in the damp and deplorable trenches as enemy fire hailed from the sky and bombs decimated the terrain around them. Many soldiers returned home, physically and mentally traumatized. J.R.R. Tolkien was no different, and returned home from the war after losing two of his closest friends, suffering from trench fever, and struggling to acclimate back into normal civilian life (Wood 7). The war left an imprint on him, just as it did many other WWI writers, such as Ernest Hemingway and Robert Graves (Ott 1). Tolkien used his writings as a way to escape his trauma, but the scars followed him even into his mythopedia of Middle earth as he wrote The Lord of the Rings. Sam, Frodo, and other characters, like Aragorn, suffered through similar physical tribulations such as horrid sights of rotting corpses, as well as emotional struggles, such as feelings of despair, similar to the soldiers of World War I (Ott 5). The application should be able to perform six main function. The client should be able to upload files to and downloads from the server. In addition, server should be able to change the directory as per client request and list the files in each directory by the client. Also, a unique PDU type was used in this implementation. Moreover, TCP also manages the flow control between the server and the client by providing the error free data transmission and handle the retransmission of dropped or distorted packets as well as acknowledgement of all packets that arrive. Implementation As it was mention above, this file transferring application implemented by using TCP and socket programing. In this project, the client server model is used to demonstrate the application. First, the system establishes a TCP socket on the client side by using the socket function. The next step is to connect the created socket to the address of the server using the connect() function. Since the connection is established between server and the client now, the client can do read or write operation using read(), write() function. Finally, it will end the connection with the server by using close() function. In other hand, server will also flow similar steps to establish a TCP socket with the client. Firstly, it will also create a socket using socket() function. Then, it will bind the socket to a client s address using bind() function and will keep Liston for a connection request from the client side using listen() function. Equal amounts of matter and antimatter particles began to collide and annihilate each other. Gravity, strong and weak nuclear forces, and electromagnetic forces soon came into play. As the universe started to cool, fundamental particles called quarks began to smash together forming protons and neutrons. They, in turn, merged to create the nuclei of simple elements, beginning with hydrogen, helium, and lithium. This primordial soup contained the building blocks for everything in the universe. Atoms contain protons that produce a positive charge, neutrons that produce a neutral charge, and electrons that produce a negative charge. A property of matter or force of nature would be the result when the strings vibrate and interact with each other. Not so fast, physicists filled blackboard after blackboard with mathematical equations to prove that the theory was consistent with the force of gravity. Did not happen. A theory had to be established that was compatible with the gravitational forces in the enormous universe and the microscopic world. The modified theory had to include quantum gravity, a high frequency, string vibration that would produce a graviton. A graviton is responsible for curving surrounding space. During this time span of time we form our own unique individuality and behavior. There are many different perspectives of psychology in which psychologists try to explain the reasoning behind humanistic behavior and thinking. There are two extremist groups of psychologists that strictly oppose each other when it comes to the Nature vs. Nurture theory. Nativists, psychologists who adopt strong hereditary reasoning or Nature theory, believe humans are a product of evolution and our inner and external traits as well as our behavior are due to our very complex genetic form. The Nativists believe our individuality is a result of the mixed genetic code, which we get from both of our parents. This code is solely different from any other being in the world. The problem with language being a part of a person s identity is that there are many languages and not all languages are seen as equal. Anzaldua and Fanon address how some languages are seen as inferior and establish an us and them mentality within nations and cultures. Fanon takes the approach of becoming the us or superior language and culture, while Anzaldua makes the claim that a person is able to be a part of more than one culture and language without losing ones own.
